Very neat use of the theme, and enjoyable gameplay. Well done. :)

Very neat use of the theme, and enjoyable gameplay. Well done. :)
Great art style and overall feel. Very solid and enjoyable entry. :)
Always nice to see voice use for audio clips in LD entries :P
That was cool to play through! A neat take on the theme, nice job (:
This definitely felt closer to a small indie game than just a jam game. Really enjoyed the audio queues for most of the actions in the game. Very well done. :)
This is a great take on the theme, well done! My winning strategy is to grab the items near the doors before too many people arrive.
What an interesting idea. The dialog was quite humorous, nice job!
Wow, this is gorgeous! Could have done with some audio, but even without it the puzzle solving mood didn't suffer. Nice job (:
Really fun game :D The streams of asteroids versus isolated ones reminded me of a rhythm game, which is neat (especially with the nice audio). Great job.
I felt the arc and general feel to the "throw" itself was very nice, and found the graphics and audio enjoyable. Well done :)
Really liked the art style, and found the concept neat. A fun LD entry. :)
Really enjoyed the feel of bouncing enemies off of the umbrella, and like the use of spring like water, and shadows from the umbrella. Overall a fun game :)
Very solid entry, and neat use of the theme. :)
I think the sound effects really added a lot, and I'm very fond of the background. Neat entry!
Very nice art and audio, and I enjoyed the bee's dance :P :)
The audio was really nice, and I like that the food is different every time. It is a bit punishing, though. Nice entry!
Very innovative game play, and fantastic style. Very enjoyable entry. I got a highscore of 15 fish. :)
15Fish.png
A nice idea, and the looming cat face really makes you want to rush. Good job!
This was a neat idea, I liked seeing all the different curses. Nice job!
Really enjoyed the mood and humor of the short story. Good job. :)
Always nice to see a puzzle game in LD, nice job!
This was a pretty cool concept, and I liked the commentary. Nice job (:
The voxels flying from an enemy death really made them satisfying. Also really liked the look of the water. Overall, a very enjoyable little platformer. :)
Very amusing, such a unique entry for a game jam. Nice job!
What a neat take on the theme, nice job!
I liked all the little touches that were in here, nice job!
The art style is really nice. Great entry!
This was very cute, I enjoyed the story. The laser was pretty satisfying. I think the first level either should have been harder, or shorter, because it dragged a little. Overall, nice job!
Really liked the concept and execution. Enjoyable little puzzle game. :)
What a neat idea. I'm terrible at it, but it's a lot of fun. Great job!
A nice take on the theme, well done!
This was a neat little game, if you get into the groove you can really rack up points. I liked the art too, nice job!
I really liked this, it had a lot of nice little touches. I especially liked the little rotate animation when going into a world. A solid entry, great job!
It's pretty satisfying getting those notes right after switching colours. Nice entry!
Simple idea, but great execution. :) Really liked the graphics. If expanded to be a full game, I would probably lean away from the always turning controls though they were fine over a short play period.
Game over is pretty punishing, but I liked catching the shield. It's quite satisfying when you hit two guys at once, nice job!
Was a bit confused on how to play at first but got it after a bit.
Really enjoyed the audio and graphics, well done. :)
Nice solid entry, and enjoyed the use of physics. Well done. :)
From what I got to play before it crashed on me, it was really nice. I really like the art style.
My machine is Win10 64bit, below is the crash for reference.
CloseFriendsCrash.PNG
Very innovative game, and quite enjoyable to play. Definitely got trickery as you went. :)
Really pleasant looking game (:
Relaxing if you let it be (;
There's a bush that doesn't have a collider or something near the end so you can go right through it for an easier path. (not complaining :P)
Really good use of humour. Great job. :)
Seems like the victory sound effect loops if you leave it on that screen.
I liked the graphics and the overall idea. I got to about 23 bottles before it became a bit too hard to see. Nice entry!
Really enjoyable game, great job. Very fun to play. :)
Really solid entry, physics felt just right, and game was quite fun. Good job. :)
Nice graphics. The game is pretty difficult, you need to be precise. I liked the darkness closing in on the player effect. Nice job!
Nice entry! My favourite part was the waiter's backwards speedy walk.
Cute game and art style! Maybe poor Gertrude should invest in a couple of litter boxes :P
I really liked the art style, nice job. I ended up playing with another person because it's more fun. Nice entry!
I'm not great at it, only got 3080, but it was really enjoyable. I love the frosting animation, it's a nice touch. The game over screen is really cute, too. Nice job!
This is a nice entry. Feels well polished. I liked all the little touches. Nice job!
Neat concept. The art was nice too. I got overwhelmed pretty quickly, but that's part of the fun (:
I was pretty bad at remembering who ordered what, but I still had fun. Nice job!
This is a pretty cute idea. I enjoyed reading the preamble in the cat's point of view. Nice job (:
Nice take on the theme. I liked the introduction of the game through the conversation. (:
This was a very pretty game. I especially liked the background environment. Nice job!
Haha, I am not good at this. But really cool idea. After selecting more than three instruments, the feedback "I said you should select 3 instruments" really cracked me up for some reason. Great job!
Great take on the theme! The response to “This is how I like it” made me laugh out loud. Great job!
Nice idea! I especially like the hair flip as he jumps.
This had a really nice art style. The more pop ups I got, the more nervous I got. Especially when the pop noise ramped up.
Great job!
I really enjoyed the art style of this game. Found it a bit tough to use the mouse controls versus keyboard.
Nice job!
Really interesting concept, and good visuals. Could use a bit more feedback during game play to help know if you are doing well or not. Good entry though :)
Really nice entry. I enjoyed the graphics and audio style particularly. Unfortunately I failed to launch with my ship. :P Great job. :)
Nice entry. Enjoyed the graphics, and the theme was nice. Great job. :)
Some nice aspects, but I found it a bit confusing and hard to get into. Nice entry though :)
Really nice art/graphics, and really nice take on the theme. Great job overall. :)
It was really nice you had a proper tutorial with this kind of game. Game itself was also a lot of fun and really well done overall. :)
I really enjoyed the graphics and the concept/use of theme. I feel the game play could have been tuned a little more to make for a smoother experience. Overall well done. :)
I also saw the issue where if you went too quickly over a tile, it would not register that you passed over it. Other than that, overall it was an enjoyable experience and well made. Nicely done. :)
I really enjoyed this entry. It kept me engaged and wanting to see what levels came next. Great job. :D
Really solid entry, great job. :D I was impressed you had a neat mechanic like this done solidly in such a short time period, while still keeping the other aspects well done too.
@danman9914 Oops, thank you :)
Really nice entry, reminded me of a take on FTL which is always a good comparison to have, while still fitting the theme. Nicely done. :)
Super well polished entry. Gameplay was fun and the graphics were very nice. Great job. :)
Quite an interesting take on the theme, and I was into the art style. Well done :)
Overall a very solid entry. Well done. :)
Really great entry, I had a ton of fun playing it. The theme was well implemented, the graphics were nice, and the game-play was really enjoyable. :)
Really great audio and graphics. The mood was very good too. Great job :)
I couldn't put this game down >_> Amazing job in every category, but especially in humor. Amazing entry. Only complaint was sometimes I seemed to have trouble picking up the item I expected. Perhaps some sort of selection highlight if a future version was made. But that's just a small nitpick, and everything else was fantastic
Very innovative entry, and the voxel art style was nice. Overall a nice entry :)
I liked the graphics. Well done. :)
All the physics interactions were fun, and the story was well done. Overall a nice quick entry :)
The graphics were really cool. It seemed the best strategy was to just keep hitting G to generate a new world, pick up the treasure chest on the surface, and then make a new world. :P
Nice solid entry. I enjoyed the aspect of trying to make the best use of time by balancing the collecting of all the ingredients with the creation of potions and such. Good job :)
Enjoyed playing this one. I liked that the enemies didn't move until I did, but there was still the time pressure to keep you on your toes. The third level got pretty intense. Nice job. :)
I enjoyed the movement, and the animations/death effect of character. I didn't like getting dropped right on top of an enemy at the start of the second level. Also if I stood too close to a switch, I would shoot behind it. Overall, well done. :)
Absolutely awesome entry. Really fun across the board. The use of theme both mechanically, and thematically, was a nice touch. Great job :)
Personally I would have preferred it with mouse controls so that the aiming of the tongue would be a bit easier. The art was very good. Overall well done. :)
Very confused at first, but an interesting mechanic.
Nice art style, and overall a cute entry. Good job.
Game was fun, I liked the steady progress at growing my farm. Unfortunately the game did freeze/crash on me after playing for a while (something weird must have happened as I had a lot of actions happen at once while standing on the merchant) but that's understandable for a competition entry. Overall pretty enjoyable
Wow, this was an absolutely fantastic entry, great in every category. Really nicely done, good job.
The best use of the theme I've seen yet in the competition. Good audio, sound, and gameplay really tie it together too. Great job on this entry. :)
@guilb Thank you for your feedback. Attacking towards the mouse direction is a good suggestion.
@philomory Thank you for your feedback. Leveling up increases your max health but it can definitely be hard to tell and would ideally have both done more and would be more clear if given more time.
Thank you for pointing out our copy-paste mistake, we've updated this page and Itch.io to say Ludum Dare 45 correctly now
I really enjoyed this entry. The humour, graphics, and audio were on point. I enjoyed how some "easy" choices led to unexpected consequences. Great job. :)
Cute little entry with a fun concept, well done.
One of my favourite entries so far. Glad to see a mention at the end of it being expanded to see where the mechanic could go next. Great job.
The game was pretty fun though once you get the rhythm of things it can be a bit monotonous. The graphics were good, the audio was nice, and the game was funny. One thing that made things a bit harder than it otherwise could have been was the instructions in the top right seemed to progress some times before I had done the intended step. Overall a nice entry. :)
Gameplay was fun an the graphics were nice. The audio fit it well and of course the idea was humourous. I do wish the theme was present (even if shoe-horned in) but overall a good entry, well done. :)
Really enjoyed this take on the theme. A pretty funny entry too. Great first entry. :)
Really satisfying game-play, and overall very polished. I wish the theme played a role but otherwise a great entry :)
Very hard to keep it alive :P
Overall the graphics were great, the atmosphere/mood were on point, and the idea was awesome. Good job with the entry. :)
Graphics were great, sad to see it go unfinished, lots of potential here.
A really fun game. I enjoyed the teleport movement as a shake up to the regular twin stick shooter formula. My favourite gun was the sniper though Happy Birthday was a close second :P Overall really solid entry, well done. :)
Violet.png
Quite an interesting entry. I really liked the variety you could get with the plants, and procedural generation is always fun.
With some improvements to the UI and a slower process it could be a fun pocket plant game for mobile :)
Fantastic entry. I absolutely loved the art, and the humor was on point too. The game play was simple but really solidly well done. Great job. :)
Oof, fun game, the characters were believable in that they hurt me to interact with :P I think it was a really interesting concept, and felt well put together. I like how much talking happened during the raid, reminds me of some people I've played with.
This game was pretty great. I loved the movement and animations, and the concept was really cool. Well done. :)
I wish the attack animation could interrupt the other animations and could be used while falling as sometimes I was falling right on top of a worm spamming the attack button to no avail :P
Really enjoyable tower defense entry. A had a lot of fun playing this. I ended up winning by making both paths merge together before coming to the hear by making that the shortest path, so I could have a single point to defend (aside from the flying enemies) which was really great when it worked out.
Great job. :)
Really loved the voxel art style. Got pretty intense as the fire died down. The lightning effects were awesome. Well done. :)
Overall a pretty fun entry. Personally I found the first boss to be the hardest, and the third to be the easiest, though I did end up cheesing the first boss by just facing Gizmick and mashing my attack button, so when the boss tried to hit him, he'd run into my sword and retreat upwards :P
It was neat getting new mechanics in each fight and getting new variations in the bosses.
The graphics and audio were very pleasant as well. Nice job. :)
I kind of sucked at this game but it was fun :) I liked the balance from not being able to jump while you were carrying the egg requiring more thought as to safely bringing the egg to the goal.
Art and audio were awesome too. Overall great job.
Awesome production quality. Really neat to have a game with voice acting and other polish during a jam. I found it a bit hard personally, but overall well done. :)
A neat little game. I'd love to see the physics tuned up a bit so it can feel a bit more like a high speed chase, which is a bit hard with the current floaty nature to the driving.
The idea was fun though and I really enjoyed the art style. Overall good job. :)
Wow, very gorgeous.
At some points where I had to go over narrow beams, I was worried the floaty wind controls (pun intended) would make it difficult but I seemed to get by without too many issues, so you did a really good job with the feeling of wind while still keeping the tumble weed easy to control. Overall a fun entry, well dome.
Fun little game with nice graphics. I appreciated the eating sound effect :P
Well done. :)
Very funny game, and I loved the controls. The invincibility frames and ability to move through enemies with your dodge roll helped make the combat feel good.
Would have loved some audio for the extra immersion in the griping story but overall well done. :)
Really enjoyed the visual style, music, and mood for this game, so overall well done.
I think it would be good to have a bit more challenge, such as timing, or cars driving around that you don't control, as otherwise it seems you could just pause all trains of one colour out of the way and win without any challenge. (But maybe since the mood felt relaxed/low stress that was intended to be okay)
Art style was very nice, and music was impressive, especially felt nice to have the intense music fade in and out for combat.
Not sure I can appreciate the subtle rick rolling after my amazing victory just because of the game's name being similar to the song name but I get it :P
Really neat concept and idea behind the theme. Really cool what you managed to get done in such a short time. Well done. :)
I really liked this entry. I thought the double purpose of the time pickups working as your special weapon, but also your lives (and triggering when you get hit) was really clever.
Overall a very solid shoot-em up, with a good take on the theme. Well done. :)
Really neat idea and solidly made. I liked the flow of going through the levels a few times to complete them. Nice job. :)
My favourite part was spinning around the tree until you were stuck close to it, then if you ran in the right way you could either extend your head a mile into the sky or start doing double team/clone jutsu around the tree :P
Unfortunate not to see it finished, look like some good potential here.
Wow, an absolutely great entry. The mechanic was "simple" but allowed for a ton of depth in the level design and puzzles. It really fit the theme well, and had a ton of content. Overall really fun. Great job. :)
Really nice game overall, well done.
To nitpick, I did find the ramp up and gameplay a bit too slow compared to idle games that I'm used too, and the TV sound was a bit harsh for the relaxing/methodic idle play I expected.
Probably the most solid entry I've played. Amazing graphic style and overall really fun. Really well done. :)
If I was to nitpick, the only things I'd like to see improved would be possibly a slightly slower movement speed for my dot (I often overshot where I wanted to be) and maybe a bit of feedback when I've connected to another flow and my switch will work. Very small things though, great job.
I found it a bit difficult to understand at first, but figured it out on my second go. Very interesting mechanics, though I wasn't able to make it super far. Well done.
I enjoyed this entry. The enemy variety was nice, and it allowed for quick rounds to try to get a better score. I like the polish with the animated title screen.
It was fun to try to dig straight down to see how far I could get :P
Overall well done.
I wasn't able to make it super far, only 211m after a few tries.
The shooting was satisfying and I liked the art style.
I did have enemies come right along the ground some times which was difficult, made more so because they would display behind the track making them hard to see.
I think it would have been nice to start slightly slower and then ramp up in difficulty.
Overall well done, good job.
Overall a cute entry. I enjoyed the take on mixing minesweeper with a mining game. Could maybe use a slightly faster pace, as navigating around makes it feel slower than something like actual minesweeper.
Well done
Really enjoyable entry, with great graphics.
At first I had issues with the mouse sensitivity being too high, so I really appreciated you adding in the mouse sensitivity slider.
I found the tilting during strafing to be uncomfortable. I'm unsure if it was too much, or if it was something else like the way or speed it moved into and out of the tilt.
Overall great job
This was a pretty great entry. Graphics were very enjoyable, especially the "glowing" radiation standing out in the environment. The audio was good too, especially opening the door after each level.
I would have liked a bit more feedback to tell me I had killed everything on the floor and I was ready to go towards the floor door.
I found the choice of blue for the health bar at the top a bit unintuitive, and would have gone with red or green for that.
Finally, I really liked that you got to keep your upgrades/mutations between runs, giving more reason to play again.
Overall great job
Overall a really good entry. I really liked the art, but especially Cthulhu's strained jump face :P
I'm not sure the curved world added to the game, and made me a bit disoriented at first.
The mood and music was great, and the humor was on point.
Well done.
I really enjoyed this entry. It kept making me want to go once more, to try to see another section, or better yet, find another funny sign, even though it was very difficult at times :p
I think the most important part is that you made the main mechanic of gliding feel good.
With 500 seconds I was able to get to layer 319 and get the laser upgrade. :)
Some audio would add to the experience but overall it is fun game.
I enjoyed the circle/wheel physics as a change up, which dictated the strategy for how you should dig since it directly lead to your movement.
Nice job
Nice entry. Overall I enjoyed the art, and the parallax effect was very nice.
I'm not sure if I missed something, but it seemed I could just dig straight downwards with a bunch of clones and outrun the enemies and radiation for at least quite a while without worry.
I would avoid using shift to spawn the clones as if you want to hit it a few times in a row you can make the sticky-keys prompt in Windows come up.
Overall the graphics and combat was nice. I think there needs to be more reason to need to fight the zombies, otherwise it seems faster and just as safe to just run by them, which takes away from the experience.
Good job though!
Ended up playing for way too long but only got to 3590m. Really needs to progress much faster, as you see all the game has to offer quickly, so it's all about execution after that, which gets too repetitive over such a long time.
I would have liked for the sharks to face the direction they are swimming better, it looked like they were just sliding along.
Otherwise though the idea and atmosphere was good.
Nice job
I really liked the graphics in this entry. I managed to beat the AI on my first attempt but then lost on my next two :P
Personally I wasn't a big fan of the controls.
Overall well done
Interesting take on the theme.
By the time I got to the enemies explanation text, it had wandered off elsewhere :P
Some simple sound effects would really help bring it to life.
Nice job
Overall a good entry, well done.
I think the enemies went by a bit too quickly, making it difficult to actually fight them, so it felt like the best strategy was just to dodge, not both dodging and shooting.
Super polished feeling entry, great job.
I really liked the counter of enemies always being displayed so you knew approximately how well you were doing. The damage faces were a nice touch as well, and the game over screen was charming :P
The music was really good too, though adding some simple sound effects would likely have tied it all together.
Nicely done.
Wow this game was a really great entry. It really makes you shift your mind having your keys change on you while your playing. The graphics, audio and voiceover was great, and I really appreciated the addition of subtitles. As a nitpick, I would have liked some form of crosshair.
Great job
I agree with some of the other feedback that placing the blocks would have been nicer if it acted a bit more like regular Tetris. Overall really neat idea and nice entry. :)
I think there should have been more of a detriment to clicking when not on the rhythm. Overall a very nice and relaxing game. :)
Really neat take on the theme, and super well executed. Great job. :)
Really liked the art, and overall very nice concept. I think the combat could have been a little more satisfying, but well done. :)
Interesting choice of themes, and I'm always a fan of physics based games.
Really nice in game UI (the menu at the start and the check at the end) as well :)
Would be nice if the check gave a little more feedback on if you won or why you lost.
Really enjoyable entry. If you had more time, would have liked some more effects or sound effects for things like getting hit, or going to the next arena, as otherwise sometimes I'd lose and not know when I had been damaged, or would win and would suddenly be in the new arena a bit disoriented.
Overall great job. :)
Really enjoyed your entry. Would like to see the concept expanded with more words to use, or unlocking new words as you level up, and things of that nature. Nice entry. :)
Nice solid entry. Well done. :)
Fun game. I wish the slide tackling/contacting of the other player seemed a little more responsive, but overall very well done, great job. :)
By far the most polished and enjoyable game I've played this LD. Great job. :D
Really enjoyed the combination of themes you picked.
