Thank you @jpiolho and @grlira for your commitment and hard work these past 2-3 days. I had A LOT of fun creating this little game with you guys and I'll definitely be back for LD41. ;)
If anyone stumbles upon this and tries the game - thank you and I hope you enjoy it! :D
Funny game, great sound effects. Good job!

Good game!
The pixel art is beautiful, the colour palette is really well chosen.
I found the mouse direction movement to work best for me.
Laughed a lot at some of these old ladies, great character design.
I did get knocked outside of the house by one of my cats though.

Had lots of fun though!
I tried the Linux version btw, thanks for the upload

Great game with cute and funny quirks. Graphics and sound add great feel to it. I wish the cats didn't block pathing for Gertrude, otherwise I loved it! Great job! :)

You made me feel like the Simpsons cat lady! Good job and nice art ;)
came for cats and artstyle, stayed a while for the tamagotchi feeling. liked it overall, would be even more awesome with more tasks than just cleaning poop
One of the best games I tried so far! Art is simply amazing, gameplay is challenging and fun. But the thing I loved the most is the way you approached the theme. This is exactly the way I like it: when you need more stuff, but it actually makes things worse for you. Although, I like you humor on this one. Cat lady, who constantly adopts more cats, and hosts Kittea parties? 5/5 in the pun nomination.
Amazing work guys, love your game!
This is the great game. Interesting vision on theme. And it is realy funny. But it needs to be starcrafter to cleen all house!
quite funny idea also these pastel-colored pixel art is great but after a while there were too many cats and they pushed out of the room
Man, Gertrude does know how to hold a tea kitty party! Great game, fitting perfectly the theme (who would resist adopting MORE and MORE cats?) with a simple yet engaging gameplay. Graphics stand out, love the pixel art and the warm home-like color palette. Congrats on the entry!

This is such a beautiful game, the art is amazing. The gameplay could use some work to make it more diversified. The music is nice too! One of my favourite Jam entries.

**Hello there!**
Here is a few thoughts about your game Kittea Party
**Graphics**
Great work on the artwork. I think the main character Gertrude looks and animates really well, and there is a few details like the rounded borders on the rooms that made the environment really pop. Some dimensions and angles seems a bit off though. If that was intentional it could have been more clear to make it a bigger part of the overall design. I'm nitpicking here, it really looks stunning.
**Theme**
This is, together with graphics, the strongest feat of the game. Clever, fun and unique. Enough said.
**Gameplay**
For me this was the weakest part of the game. I found myself running between the two rooms, clicking on everything over and over. I'm missing some kind of strategic element or challange. On the positive side, the game feels good. The controls feels snappy, and that's important.
**Overall**
Good looking, cute game that only lacks some kind of hook to be something great. Good job!
Two words. Litter tray! Although it was fun watching the old dears slip in the poop. What that says about me, I don't know.

Art is really good! And I like how you work with theme. Controls a little bit uncomfortable, but anyway this is very cute game! Good job!
This is a fun little game. I think it's awesome that all of the old ladies like visiting the house of their one friend who lets their cats poop all over the floor. Wouldn't it be a lame party for her if she spends her whole time picking up poop? What exactly are her guests doing at he party?
Overall, I had a good laugh while playing this. Congratulations on your entry!

A simple but funny game. Congratulations for the game.
Um jogo simples mas engraçado. Parabéns pelo jogo. :flag_br:
Cute game and art style! Maybe poor Gertrude should invest in a couple of litter boxes :P

This was really great! The graphics are excellent, and the theme is well executed. This could definitely be a mobile game where you tap on poop (ew) to clean it. I did find myself wishing I could walk through the cats and guests, or at least get closer to them. I started getting blocked off from large areas of fecal matter, and I wasn't able to get cleaning. Really nice work!

Nice concept and nice prototype for something better. The only think I see is that you ask if I want to adopt a cat or not. Don't ask that, of course I want a cat! Who doesn't? Jokes apart, if you ask that to the player, they could stuck with the first cat and get bored with time.
Besides that, very charming art and concept, nice job.

:older_woman: :smile_cat: :poop: these cats poop A LOT but my party is hoppin' well done!
Third LD40 game I've played about old ladies managing an excess of cats.
A great looking game! The theme was spot on. I like the gameplay, but the collision with the cats started to get annoying after a while, which brought down the hectic but fun gameplay.
What are you feeding these cats with?!

Hi there, fellow kitty poop cleaner developers! :D I totally like the sounds, although you opted out from sound. The graphics are cool. Poor Gertrude! The cats shit so quickly :) Good job!

There are so many cat-poo-poo related games for LD40! This one is probably the best looking of the handful of the ones I've played. Love the graphics! Gameplay is pretty simple. I wish you all put some emphasis on music. That would have made the poop-cleaning experience more enjoyable. Maybe.
Congrats on your entry!
Very fun game. It got to the point where I couldn't move around anymore!
Interesting game! Really loved the art, it was really cute! Nice sound effects, missed a background tune. Good controls, nice turn to mouse mechanic. Animations were quite good too.
Unfortunately I felt the game got a tad boring after a while. I could keep saying no to adopting cats and didn't feel any downside to saying that. So after that, not much to do but to keep walking from room to room cleaning poo on the floor.
But this does feel like a good concept for something with more mechanics, and was a lovely happy game. Congratulations on your great work :)

Cute little game! I like the art. It was quite a challenge to host a decent tea party. "Let me through, I need to cleeaaaannn!" I collected 20 cats, and I needed 21 cats for the next tea party, but although I clicked Yes when prompted if I wanted another cat, I didn't get a new one, so the game sort of got stuck there for me... It would have been nice if the player could see if the highlighted poo was within cleaning reach or not. Congrats on your game!

How could I say no to adopting a kitten? As someone who recently adopted a street cat and had to clean poop from the floor, this game resonates with me. Good job!
