LD40 — The more you have, the worse it is

Orbits by tuism 2017-12-04T18:16:45Z

This is a great game ! The art is beautiful by its simplicity, the music is sweet and not too distracting, and the gameplay feels fun and hard to master. Definitely one of the best games of this edition!

A Walk To The Finish Line by jk5000 2017-12-04T11:56:07Z

Very nice graphics, simple and effective controls and fun levels that become chalenging after a while. The music isn't too distracting, which is nice.

Tail by conk 2017-12-04T20:42:46Z

I love the controls, it feels really nice to play. The art looks very pretty too!

Lonk's Greedy Adventure by javicepa 2017-12-04T13:28:36Z

Very pretty, definitely looks like a lot of work ! Good job :)

Lampauttaja by Jani 2017-12-04T16:49:54Z

The game looks beautiful ,from the models to the UI, including the FX trail. Great job, definitely one of the best I've tried!

Real Inc. by Atmög 2017-12-07T16:04:32Z

There clearly is a lot of work on the gameplay, it's complex and good! The graphics could use a bit more work in my opinion, it would make the whole game more attractive in the first place, but very good work. Plus props for using your own engine.

Back to Dust by Plepletier 2017-12-05T20:28:07Z

This is really good, awesome storytelling. It reminds me of This War Of Mine

テッ球 T E K K Y U by simonhutchinson 2017-12-04T16:56:05Z

The art looks awesome, love the glowing materials. The gameplay is simple yet efficient and the physics are accurate.

テッ球 T E K K Y U by simonhutchinson 2017-12-04T18:24:48Z

@simonhutchinson Fixed, I was at work before, the ausio definitely suits the game! Good job!

Smash! Smash! Destroy the West! Jangnanmon! by pudding 2017-12-04T20:46:35Z

Very fun! It's nice to see something with an original story like this! Good job

Speed Date Shuffle by NotExplosive 2017-12-04T20:58:23Z

It's really pretty and has a very polished and finished feel to it, this is an amazing product, even more so considering it was made in only 72 hours!

Polyose by dylanilvento 2017-12-04T19:38:33Z

I love the art style ! The UI could have used a little more work, but it's just a detail, the game is really nice to play.

Professional Dog Walking by ACiertz 2017-12-04T12:07:38Z

This is art in its purest state. Okay no but seriously it's fun, give it a try.

Party Penguin by LiquidBrain 2017-12-07T16:11:32Z

The music is really good, graphics are lovely, I particularly like the way the dancefloor changes colour. It's pretty difficult to get it right but still fun!

Hellrena by LeFayGames 2017-12-07T16:28:28Z

It's pretty good ! It definitely fits in the theme and becomes challenging once you have saws flying over the map and your escape way is blocked by fire. Good job!

Infectious Void by Odrez 2017-12-04T18:40:57Z

This is one of the games with the strongest atmosphere, it feels really intriguing and makes you want to explore further. The graphics and audio work great together to convey the feelings.

Cute invaders by sgadrat 2017-12-04T21:38:31Z

This is really simple and nice! I like the fact that the different actions appear after each other makes it easy to start!

Kittea Party by JPiolho 2017-12-05T19:54:19Z

This is such a beautiful game, the art is amazing. The gameplay could use some work to make it more diversified. The music is nice too! One of my favourite Jam entries.

Fat and Furry-ous by Tex Killer 2018-12-26T09:50:23Z

That was a fun little game, I made it to the end after a few tries by not eating any cheese. The sounds were really nice and I liked that eating cheese actually made the mouse fatter!

Sticky Racer by Mayuso 2017-12-04T21:23:41Z

A fun little game, the glue definitely is a good way to fit in the theme!

Unstable Space by FunkyHippo 2017-12-04T19:43:47Z

I love the graphics ! The lighting looks really nice too. It definitely suits the theme! Only thing I would change is the UI font, but it's very minor.

Capitalistic Lootboxes Overwhelmed by SimonTheCase 2017-12-04T13:42:54Z

Very fun game playing on a sensitive subject. Only little flaw is the action can sometimes look a bit confused, but it's definitely a cool game.

Rich in Space by Fenerax 2017-12-04T20:07:13Z

Really, really nice work! It's of the submissions I've tried that I surprised myself playing longer than most, the graphics are simple and so is the music but the gameplay feels really nice and I love how the difficulty scales progressively. Very nice submission!

Capital Hell by Kapura 2017-12-04T21:09:08Z

Hahaha, more than a game, a transcendental experience into modern America. Good job.

My Greedy Dog Steve by Honest Dan 2017-12-07T16:33:57Z

This is a really nice game ! I particularly like that you'll always get a counterpart to your new ability when you level up. It's impressive when you think it's all been done in 72 hours.

Snow Grow: Or How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Ball by Brenden 2017-12-05T20:18:16Z

Pretty fun, although the score text and numbers aren't next to each other.

25 - The Golden Age by Ambeurk 2017-12-04T18:48:01Z

Really nice game, it can get difficult to balance everything out, and I like the multiple choice dialogues with different consequences. Even more impressive when you know it only took 20 hours. Good job!

Cursest Dungeon by Dupix 2017-12-07T16:38:08Z

The art is really pretty! I would recommend you tweak the animation/movement a little as the character kind of "jumps" at the begining of the movement, which makes it more difficult to be accurate and to get the ropes. Apart from that the gameplay is very nice, and the music is simple but of good quality. Nice humour touches too.

Sky-Corsair by Sozey 2017-12-04T12:17:14Z

@oxrock That's very true, I wish I thought of adding a button after the end screen. Thank you for playing !

Sky-Corsair by Sozey 2017-12-04T18:26:32Z

@simonhutchinson Thank you ! It was my first Ludum Dare and I absolutely didn't think of integrating a retry button. As for the music, I'm going to practice for the next event! Thank you a lot for playing!

Sky-Corsair by Sozey 2017-12-04T22:54:28Z

@seano Thank you a lot! As a non native English speaker I didn't realize rythm could be a problem, I will definitely keep that in mind in the future. Thank you for trying the game!

Sky-Corsair by Sozey 2017-12-07T19:37:02Z

Thank you a lot for playing! Yeah I wish I had more time to tweak the controls and music

Sky-Corsair by Sozey 2017-12-08T15:56:20Z

@djeycreations Thank you for trying it out! I'm definitely going to practice my music skills for the next Jam :)

Tax Evasion Hero by ebim 2017-12-07T16:42:02Z

This is a really nice game, that fits the theme greatly. I really like the art and the overall look with the post processing.

Feature Creep by Garur 2017-12-07T16:20:25Z

I love this game! It's really fun to add features and also allows to gradually increase the difficulty without having to learn all the controls at the same time. The art is nice and the music as well. Also the sounds (like the sword whizz or the footsteps) are of good quality. Humour is on point.

Leaning Tower by Patrick D 2017-12-04T18:35:36Z

I like your game! The art looks nice and unique, and the musique feels right with the game. Good job!

Mortal Komba by kokirisandfriends 2017-12-08T12:07:04Z

This is very, very polished. It's incredible when you consider it's been done in only 72 hours. Nice work!

Would You Like Tickets To The GUN SHOW by zaratustra 2017-12-04T11:49:10Z

Really good art! I particularly like the different patterns when you shoot! Maybe one idea for improvement would be to have enemies that withstand more shots ?

LD42 — Running out of space

CRAMMM: Totally Accurate Studying Simulator by tuism 2018-08-13T13:06:11Z

Definitely one of the best games of this jam. It's pretty short but it feels incredibly polished and entertaining! As mentionned earlier, I wish you could lower the volume as it's pretty loud.

ROOS? by Genpaku 2018-08-13T14:12:14Z

As others said, the game could use a little more work on the graphics and music sides of things, but you explained why you prefer to focus on programming and I didn't find a single bug so it's a valid reason.

OVERKILL by earnso 2018-08-13T13:27:16Z

Playing your game was definitely a fun time! The gameplay feels nice (particularly the guns and recoil effect) and comletely fits the theme. The art style is amazing and contrasts with the violence and dismemberments. 😋 The only thing lacking in my opinion is animations, but I know time is tight during the compo.

Darklings by Sozey 2018-08-13T12:55:38Z

@team-on Thank you for taking the time to play the game! I was told that it doesn't all fit on smaller resolutions but was unable to fix it before the submission deadline.

Darklings by Sozey 2018-08-13T13:43:12Z

@earnso @ghen Thanks for playing guys! I'm glad you liked the style, as a programmer it took quite a bit of work!

Darklings by Sozey 2018-08-13T14:24:00Z

@quetzakol Thank you a lot for playing and leaving a bit of feedback! I agree that it wasn't anything too out of the ordinary, it's more meant to be a relaxing little puzzle game.

Darklings by Sozey 2018-08-13T14:32:37Z

@talios Thank you for trying my game! It's true that they were very simple, I wish I had more time to work on level design. I might do it once the jam is over!

Darklings by Sozey 2018-08-13T15:38:52Z

@missalpha @akros @starven Thank you so much for playing my game! I'm really glad you enjoyed it. As for the number of levels and the difficulty, I would like to develop the game a bit more after the jam and add more levels as well as making them increasingly difficult.

Darklings by Sozey 2018-08-13T18:19:24Z

@dangogamedev Thank you a lot for the kind words!

Darklings by Sozey 2018-08-14T00:14:08Z

@enver-arco Thank you for the kind words! Let's just say not much sleep was had!

Darklings by Sozey 2018-08-14T18:34:28Z

@madrededios Thank you a lot for your words of encouragement! I hope to continue working on the game.

@fizzpowmike1 Thank you for your feedback, I also wish I had a tutorial level to explain the mechanics and explain a bit of story.

Darklings by Sozey 2018-08-16T20:00:07Z

@darkrabbitgames @mironx @bitphinix Thank you for trying the game out, I'm glad you enjoyed it! @raccoon-js It's nice that you caught it, thank you for playing!

Darklings by Sozey 2018-08-28T12:59:29Z

@psjuk0 Thank you for playing it! I'm really happy you enjoyed it!

Darklings by Sozey 2018-08-28T14:20:39Z

@walnoot Thanks for playing it and for your constructive feedback! I'm looking into making more difficult levels as I continue developping it after the jam.

Darklings by Sozey 2018-08-31T14:43:30Z

@velocity7 Thank you for your kind words!

@acuriosity Thank you so much for your detailled feedback, I'm truly happy you liked the game, and I agree, the movement animation deserves some more work!

Darklings by Sozey 2018-09-03T10:12:36Z

@tutaratuta Thank you a lot for playing it, and I'm happy you enjoyed it!

Space Invaded by KTur 2018-08-13T13:41:32Z

Very fun game, particularly with a friend, then you can each control one of the cannons! If you play alone the difficulty quicly increases. I like the simple graphics, I just wish you stuck with a style like the planet and some of the asteroids, some of the elements didn't really had the same low poly/hexagonal look. No music but I see you opted out of the category. Overall a really fun experience!

Trial by Fire by CorgiRam 2018-08-13T12:52:55Z

This is a really nice concept, very fitting with the theme. The graphics are simple but clean, I particularly like the reflection effect on the sword when turning around. The sound effects are nice but maybe a longer music track could make the game a bit better.

Crumble by anstabo 2018-08-13T13:55:26Z

The graphics are amazing, the gameplay is fun and fitting with the theme. The difficulty can be challenging but it's part of what makes it fun. As someone mentionned already, maybe the starting platform should be a bit more difficult to push so you can experiment with the controls safely, it would make it a bit less frustrating. The music is nice and cartoony, it goes along well with the overall style.

Delusional Thoughts by aCuriosity 2018-08-31T14:48:16Z

This is a really fun game! The gameplay is simple but the different things that alter the game like the circular saws and the missiles made it very fun to play!

I also really appreciate that you made the music looping even when you retried, it made it easier to continue playing for a long time without getting bored, and it allowed me to listen to more of that awesome soundtrack!

LD43 — Sacrifices must be made

Verti / Cease by Arity 2018-12-06T15:31:57Z

Great music! The graphics could probably have used a bit more finish, maybe by showing the edges on the shapes. The concept was very original and nicely fit the theme.

Buki Nashi by saucygames 2018-12-04T16:12:57Z

The gameplay was extremely fun. The musics and sound effects are very nice, and the graphics are simple but nice. I didn't really understand the ability sacrificing part either but i could still progress without it. I liked how the AI could dodge too.

Rampio by R3L0ad1 2018-12-06T15:38:52Z

Fun game! The concept was great and I really liked the use of emissive materials, the car looked simple yet it was pretty and futuristic. The transition from menu to game was super smooth! Audio would have been nice and is really easy to set up, you can even use Wolfram Tone to procedurally generate it without music skills. If you want to spend more time on programming and still get nice models I encourage you to look up Asset Forge, it's a nice modelling tool I used this jam and it saved me a lot of time. Anyway I liked your game and hope you make more in the future, keep up the good work!

Riddles of Sacrifice by AdroitConceptions 2018-12-04T15:53:54Z

This was a really nice little game. I had fun trying to see which combination worked the best. I think armor effectiveness is the less critical one to give up on. Combat felt fun and the effect when the enemies died was very good looking.

Path of (dis)abilities by yuriaicruz 2018-12-04T15:37:42Z

I enjoyed playing the game and once you get past the first few levels you get the hang of things pretty easily. I feel like the timer would have to be a little shorter to increase challenge a bit. I personnaly liked the music. Maybe a few sound effects would have been welcome but it's just a detail. Overall a very nice game.

Sacrificial Wool by WalterP 2018-12-04T16:08:40Z

This game is awesome! I loved the music and the aesthetic. It was a lot of fun to try all the options, and the description of each option was funny! One of the best games I've played so far. The only flaw I can find to it is that it's a bit too short in my opinion.

Odie Brought Mom Flowers by Psychedelia 2018-12-30T22:24:24Z

This was a very nice experience, I did not know I enjoyed torturing flowers so much. The musics were very nice and the graphics were simple and pretty. The animations were smooth and lovely.

CatBot by Sozey 2018-12-04T15:19:55Z

@kszaku @yuriaicruz @adroitconceptions @justwall-games @walterp @saucygames Thank you a lot for trying out the game guys, and for your feedbacks! I will give yours a try now!

Trials of K'zhak by DrEvilBrain 2018-12-30T22:11:50Z

I liked the art style and the music. A suggestion I have would be to add sounds to give feedback when attacking, dodging or getting hit. I also didn't feel like too much skill was involved in the gameplay at first but choosing what to sacrifice between waves was fun and fitting to the theme, and did require some thinking.

No Arms by Carbonara 2018-12-26T09:43:03Z

That was a really fun experience! I greatly enjoyed the art style and the destruction, that was impressive. Also thank you for the option to play with an AZERTY keyboard layout, that was nice!

Evil Cult Managment System v1.0 by Kszaku 2018-12-04T15:25:05Z

This was a very fun game, and definitely an original concept too. A bit of work on the UI would have made it more attractive at first glance but the gameplay was a lot of fun. I liked the suprise popup and colour change, and the losing screen was scary as hell!

Flufy Hat Co. by JustWall Games 2018-12-04T16:01:16Z

The graphics and sounds are amazing. I like that you thought to include a sound if you just hit the stone block with the axe. I feel like gameplay was lacking a bit, it sort of felt like the only thing I was fighting was my morals so it was not very challenging.

LD45 — Start with nothing

Singularity by PixelMonkey 2019-10-07T12:14:24Z

I love the simple style you went for, it's got a very peaceful atmosphere. The gameplay is simple but it makes for an overall relaxing experience. I also really like the transition to restart the level when you lose, it's so smooth and seamless!

DAY/ONE by DrunkardWolf 2019-10-07T15:26:39Z

That's a great entry! I really like the visuals, with the cutout map and the 3d indicators for the movement. The character design is very nice too, although animations would have been a welcome addition. I agree with the above comment, perhaps the scope was a bit too large to polish a game like this on such a short duration. But nonetheless, definitely one of the best entries I've played, congrats!

Amor Fati by starvingindie 2019-10-07T19:12:39Z

Such a lovely little experience. You did an amazing job at telling so much in so little time. Of course I wish there was more but I also know that maybe the shortness is part of what makes it great. A very nice entry.

Poppy by Sozey 2019-10-07T05:37:30Z

@thevideogamester Thank you for playing, and thank you for your feedback! I think the motion sickness might be due to the size of the tiles, I should try with bigger ones as that would cause less movement overall.

@mike09123 It's true that it would be a lot easier but the shader I used for the floor is rather expensive, so I'm not sure it would work as a web build. I'll try to build it for web later to see if it runs correctly.

Poppy by Sozey 2019-10-07T05:46:26Z

@thevideogamester Yeah that makes sense, with the faster pace of combat and all. And by the way the bow sounds were all made by mouth haha.

Poppy by Sozey 2019-10-07T06:22:41Z

@lanalux Thank you very much for playing! I'll be sure to check your game out, I saw you were trying to upload it but I really needed to get some sleep.

Poppy by Sozey 2019-10-07T12:08:05Z

@itshornunicorn @laegoose I'm really glad you guys liked it! As a programmer I usually suck at art but with shaders and lighting even basic low poly stuff look alright. Thank you for playing!

Poppy by Sozey 2019-10-07T13:04:36Z

@appoxgames Thank you for playing! And yeah I wanted to add a bit more feedback on attacks and stuff but I ran out of time, unfortunately

Poppy by Sozey 2019-10-07T15:42:35Z

@blobo Hey there, thank you for playing my game and thank you for your comment! In the settings menu, you can switch the controls orientation between two modes, if that helps!

Poppy by Sozey 2019-10-07T16:43:09Z

@tasakasama Thank you so much for trying it out! I agree, 15 minutes before submission I wanted to slow down the movement and add a "dash forward" ability, but I was a bit too short on time. And sorry to hear about that bug, that's annoying!

Poppy by Sozey 2019-10-07T18:43:41Z

@polyethyleneglykol Thank you for playing! I'm really happy you liked the style, I put a lot of effort into it!

@joe-williamson Thank you a lot for playing it on stream! World Collector is definitely one of the best entries I've had the chance to play so far

Poppy by Sozey 2019-10-07T20:55:41Z

@ktao Hey there, thank you for playing my game, I'm really glad you liked it and your words mean a lot! Well there's a few tricks, the music is mostly made by a generator (see description) and slightly touched up in Audacity, which saves a lot of time. Same for the models, they're all made of primitives (spheres for the enemies, cubes for the environment...) except for the player, the bow, a tree and two rocks haha. The rest is all done by simple shaders. Feel free to check out the sources to see how it's all set up!

Poppy by Sozey 2019-10-08T06:24:10Z

@drakespartan @simxple Thanks for trying out my game! I'm sorry about the motion sickness, and I agree that there's a few things I could do to fix it, like making the movement slower and the tiles bigger. Or only making them spawn in front of you and not despawn.

@drakespartan I also agree that I should have included visual feedback, not only audio, like an animation or a quick colour change. Thank you for your detailed feedback, that's awesome!

@marcin-j Thank you for playing! I'm really glad you liked the game! If I end up working more on it, I will definitely look into making the controls feel right.

@corrade Thank you for playing and for your comment! From your feedback and others' it seems the normal controls are a much better default choice, and to think that it's only an integer to change in the inspector. I'll know better next time! I also think I made a mistake with the rotation on shoot, it seems to be frame rate dependent, I saw my colleagues play it and the character didn't turn as fast as when I made it. Rookie mistake haha.

@mahalis Thank you so much for those kind words! I'm glad you liked the game and the world coming into place effect!

Poppy by Sozey 2019-10-08T11:08:34Z

@skalex Thank you for playing and for your feedback! Yeah I agree, the shooting could have used some extra polishing.

Poppy by Sozey 2019-10-08T14:05:07Z

@odeyalko Thanks for playing! Have you tried the other controls mode? The adjusted mode is on by default, that was a bad call by me

Poppy by Sozey 2019-10-08T17:47:37Z

@luckyfeathers Thank you so very much for playing! I added that difficulty setting in the last hour before submission haha. Oh I had noticed that bug during one of my playthrough but even after fiddling with the colliders and physics settings I didn't manage to get it fixed, unfortunately.

Poppy by Sozey 2019-10-08T20:59:57Z

@ferdi Thank you very much for playing and for your kind words! I wanted the game to be accessible for everyone but also challenging for the more "hardcore" players so the difficulty is pretty modular!

Poppy by Sozey 2019-10-09T08:13:11Z

@artyom-volkov Thank you for playing! Yeah you're probably right, I should at least have made it scale better with difficulty, I think right now they're still killed in two shots at the easiest setting. I played your game too, it was a lot of fun!

Poppy by Sozey 2019-10-09T20:29:09Z

@chrissx2 Thank you so much for your encouraging words! I'm really happy you enjoyed my little game! You and your team's entry is amazing too, you did a great job with the art and getting the atmosphere to feel as great as it does!

Poppy by Sozey 2019-10-10T07:19:58Z

@leandroc Hey, thank you for trying out the game! Yeah I should definitely have made normal the default one, I'm apparently the only one who likes the adjusted controls haha. And the shadows is a great idea, it would definitely help.

Poppy by Sozey 2019-10-10T09:27:54Z

@kuviman Hey, thank you so much for playing on stream! Yeah it's pretty difficult, it's a mix of getting out of his range and shooting him so you get health back. But definitely not simple at that level!

Poppy by Sozey 2019-10-12T12:13:56Z

@pestodesign Hey there, thank you so much for playing! That's a good suggestion, I tried to make a gif but it looked all choppy, I'll try to find a better tool!

Poppy by Sozey 2019-10-30T08:15:01Z

@elysiagriffin Thank you, and thank you very much again for playing my game on your stream! I did get some quality feedback. See you soon!

Five Finger Discount by boyTurnedRobot 2019-10-11T10:55:38Z

That's such an awesome game! Great job on getting that CRT screen look and the 80's aesthetic just right.

My contribution for this ludum dare 45 by TasakaSama 2019-10-07T15:15:17Z

Nice little game, the graphics look nice, although I prefer them before the textures are applied. The concept of a guy running around prepping the dungeon is really funny though, good job!

That's such a wonderful game! I love the aesthetics and discovering all the contents you can add was so much fun! I wish there was a difficulty setting though, it was pretty challenging at times, depending on what you got in the boxes. Anyway definitely one of the best games I've played!

Oh!My God by AlerHugues 2019-10-07T19:22:34Z

That was fun! The graphics look amazing and the gameplay is simple yet fun! I had a little bug where one of the cats escaped from the map (pesky cats), but a very nice experience nonetheless.

Nada by croben 2019-10-07T12:51:59Z

A fun little game, I really like the graphics, and the movement felt very responsive, good job!

Lovely World by Johan Alexandersson 2019-10-07T12:44:31Z

I liked the style! And I agree with the previous comment, the walls don't tile too well, particularly the sections with the torches. The idea is good though, it was fun to progress through the levels using the different ressources/elements found on the maps.

Just A Minute by Skalex 2019-10-08T11:13:50Z

That's a really nice entry! I like the concept of having a fixed time frame of one minute for each playthrough. Also Crazy Jack is my spirit animal.

Planet Z33 by LanaLux 2019-10-07T09:10:07Z

Very fun game, the background audio really makes it immersive. The base building system is very nice too!

We have Nothing! by mira 2019-10-07T13:15:21Z

This game is so nice and simple! The interactions are amazing, the music is calm and not distracting from the game and the minimalist graphics are awesome! Good job!

Emoji Overflow by laegoose 2019-10-08T11:06:28Z

Very funny game, I really liked trying to figure out an optimal layout for my assistants between each waves! Plus angrily clicking at emojis is always fun haha.

7 Days by AppoxGames 2019-10-07T09:23:44Z

That's a very lovely, relaxing game, and the visuals are really amazing. I'm definitely going to check the source, I'm curious about how you handle the growing.

Priest of RAGE by TheVideoGamester 2019-10-07T11:39:56Z

That's a really fun game, and an awesome way to tackle the theme! I really like both the concept and the execution! What did you use to make it?

LD47 — Stuck in a loop

Mr. Cheeks Sweet Dreams by MrTroy 2020-10-06T12:40:58Z

I loved the art and the audio, it's all cute and lovely! I found it difficult on my first run but then I figured out I could dash on the green blocks to get the missing candy and it made it a lot easier! The gameplay is simple yet doesn't get boring, great job!

Never Gonna Lose Again by harusame 2020-10-06T13:58:30Z

Hey! I downloaded your game and tried to play it but I can't click the buttons on the main menu 🤔

Never Gonna Lose Again by harusame 2020-10-06T15:11:19Z

@garywiss Oh thanks for explaining! I really loved the game, the gameplay feels great and not too punitive since you only go back in time a little when you're hit, and the style is awesome. I particularly loved the tilt shift effect to give a sense of perspective and the dissolve shader to avoid obstruction for the camera, great job from your team!

The Good, The Bad and The Fluffy by shide 2020-10-11T10:50:31Z

Awesome entry! I really loved the graphics with both great 3D models and cool shaders. The gameplay also felt great, with the ability to rewind allowing to experiment with the puzzles without feeling punished. Truly great job to the whole team!

App-ocalypse by ReDDarKwh 2020-10-13T11:24:36Z

A fun little game, I really liked the parodies of the icons! Gameplay was simple but fun, and a cool, relatable take on the theme. Great job!

Nekomancer by Sozey 2020-10-06T07:36:13Z

@ukulelefury Thank you for trying out my game! The combat is supposed to trigger after the second dialogue, the two guards play their turn, and then during your turn you should have the ability to attack on the tiles that are highlighted in red, so sorry if I didn't make it clear enough!

Nekomancer by Sozey 2020-10-06T15:40:57Z

@aterlamia Thank you so much for playing the game! The third level is the last level, I unfortunately didn't have time to implement an end of game screen. If you want to restart a level, you can open the settings screen from the top right cogwheel icon and restart from there

Nekomancer by Sozey 2020-10-07T15:07:32Z

@gonzalol @sharkwithlasers @harusame Thank you a lot for playing my game, and thank you for your feedback! I tried to play with the theme by having the ghosts repeat their previous actions but I agree that it's not as obvious as some other entries. I agree that the text scroll speed was a bit slow, I'll keep that in mind for the next jam  I'm really glad you enjoyed the game!

Nekomancer by Sozey 2020-10-08T08:54:42Z

@bootak Thank you for trying my game! I'm really glad you liked the art and animations, although in hindsight I probably should have spent a bit more time on making levels than animations

Nekomancer by Sozey 2020-10-13T12:15:14Z

@tvorojok Thank you for trying the game!

@salier Thanks a lot for playing my game and for your feedback! I agree making the gameplay more dynamic and adding more feedback for the user would have been great!

@wakobu Thank you for playing! Unfortunately I didn't have time to make a tutorial or proper explainations so it's not too obvious but the ghost repeats the actions it did before being killed so you need to get the enemy to walk on the plate before killing them and their ghost will be stuck in a loop and step on it again

Stormy Night by lesinvisible 2020-10-13T11:30:04Z

Awesome work! I love this type of gameplay that demands tough decisions. This entry is also a masterpiece in terms of graphics and audio, truly a great game!

Splines 'n Shapes by SharkWithLasers 2020-10-06T15:03:46Z

Awesome idea and execution, it's super relaxing to play and just enjoy the rythm, the shapes and the colours as you adjust the control points. Really loved your game!

LD50 — Delay the inevitable

My Type! by Linus Lindberg 2022-04-04T12:14:35Z

A fun little game with a ton of replayability! It started a bit slow for me but when it hit the fan it was really challenging and fun. I agree with Sapantaha, the sounds could be a bit much when the cup started filling up but that's a minor detail in my book.

Last Breath by Adrenallen 2022-04-04T17:07:23Z

This is probably my favourite entry so far. I started playing it and by the time I was done, an hour had gone by. The procedural generation as well as the leaderboard gives it so much replayability. I'm also super impressed with the water physics.

Why Bother by Vilmantas 2022-04-04T10:58:50Z

I really liked the idea of being unable to fight back, it made it fit the theme much better in my opinion. I also thought the graphics worked very well, both the environment and the fog/FX, with a consistent low poly look across the board!

Neon City by Sozey 2022-04-06T18:18:52Z

@robowarrior1982 Thank you so much! I agree that my mouth made sound for the turret lacks punch for sure!

@atomicptr Thank you! It might be too fun, I've seen a few people play it and take down the buildings for fun haha

@gamedevalexandr Thanks for playing! The boost is supposed to be bound to left shift, although it was my first time using the new Unity input system so I'm not sure how well it handles different keyboard layouts for example

@thomas-higgins Thanks a bunch! I agree about the game becoming repetitive fast and feeling like you can't really do much past a certain point, see note at the bottom.

@vilmantas Thanks! I'm really glad you liked the UI idea, I'm kind of proud of it haha.

@leorid I should have known destroying the buildings was too tempting when I spent most of my playtesting on Saturday collapsing the entire block x) I probably should have made the bullets visible through the buildings too, to help adjusting your shots. Completely agree about the controls, they take a bit of getting used to!

@james-7777 Thank you! Yeah the controls aren't ideal, Leorid above had a good idea on how to fix it, I'll probably give it a try later this week

@gummibot Thank you, and I'm glad you liked this ~~bug~~ feature

@yellowkamel Thank you so much for playing it on stream, that was a great morning!

@crishnate Perhaps if you join the bots they'll spare you, worth a try! I really like the idea of adding ramming damage, that would make the boost more fun and it would be easier to deal with groups of enemies!

And I completely I agree about the core gameplay loop quickly becoming repetitive, I planned on adding power ups (mortar, dash, mines, shotgun shells, etc) but I couldn't delay the inevitable deadline

Rising Tide by VivianMochi 2022-04-05T16:10:51Z

The idea and execution in this one are both incredible. This almost feels like a ready to release game. The audio wasn't too distracting, and the art is simple and lovely!

Minecraftle by xjcl 2022-04-04T11:10:33Z

Very fun concept! The UX could maybe be improved a little by letting the user drag and drop blocks around if you decide to continue the project, but a fun entry nonetheless!

My Girlfriend Wants a PUPPY!! by James_7777 2022-04-04T16:30:36Z

I loved how fast the text ended up going, it made getting that cute dog actually inevitable. The dog talking was also an hilarious touch. The art was great too!

Volcano by ABRDs 2022-04-04T12:08:45Z

That was so fun! I loved building a huge chunk of debris as an offering to the volcano. The expressions are also such a good idea instead of a progress bar. As others mentioned, the mouse sensitivity was a bit high but I got used to it after a moment.

Study Breaks 📚 by Puree Adventure 2022-04-05T16:18:45Z

That was such a cool entry! I love the art style and the mini games are all fun and do get more difficult when the timer is really short. That animation at the end with Sucre and her dog is so cute! Also that chicken spooked me the first time, well played!

By The Fire by Ani 2022-04-04T11:58:10Z

It took me a little moment to understand how to break the stuff, I was spamming the key instead of letting it do its thing. To others who had the same issue, once you press E just let the animation play until the thing is broken. The art is top notch and I liked playing in that little space and keep my fire alive. The music loop was fitting with the overall feel of the game and not too distracting. Good job on the weather effects, too!

LD51 — Every 10 seconds

Hellish Descent by Peter Jonsson 2022-10-04T10:30:34Z

I love the clean polished look you went for! One area of improvement could be to make the movement a bit more snappy, but I had a lot of fun clearing levels anyway, and the music is nice too!

Bearly Fishing by SakuH 2022-10-04T14:00:39Z

Such a fun entry! I might have struggled more than I'd like to admit but I finally made it! Score.png

LD54 — Limited Space

Chargez by bentglasstube 2023-10-16T12:00:32Z

I'm really impressed by how much actual gameplay you managed to get working with such a simple concept, I really liked figuring out the effect of the different orbs, and I especially like the ones that dash at you to knock you out of the ring. The audio was great, the music was engaging yet not too distracting. Great job!

Ink Souls by Neowedge 2023-10-06T11:22:27Z

You guys did a great job with this entry! The art is incredible and the game feels good to play, and is intuitive. The soundscape is a perfect match for the experience, too!

Hangover Hole by DiscoFish 2023-10-06T12:45:24Z

This was a super cool experience! Really happy you're back and having fun making cool stuff. I loved the visuals, and the sound! The mechanics are simple but you could definitely expand on those if you feel like it.

Cranedemonium by kuggenhoffen 2023-10-05T20:25:20Z

I have to admit I'd have been fired from my crane operator job very quickly haha. The game is a lot of fun and it feels really nice to make progress and get better at it. The physics worked super nice, props on you for getting it to play so nicely in a new engine!

But we still love each other by rongon 2023-10-05T09:31:27Z

I had a lot of fun playing this with my girlfriend! Thank you guys for a really fun time.

Ecolibrium by kazuo256 2023-10-06T09:05:52Z

I'll agree with other commenters here, it took a bit of time to really understand what was happening and why, but once you figure it out it's a really fun and engaging experience! The art style is so unique and works perfectly for this type of game. I liked the music too!

Rootin' Tootin' Zombie Shootin' by EX3D0 2023-10-20T14:32:03Z

Awesome work! It's definitely impressive to pull this off in two days. The graphics are neat and the gameplay is fun!

Push Away by fraanns 2023-10-19T14:59:18Z

Fun little game! The game design is very good, it's nice to get that sense of progress as you figure out the mechanics. As others said, it wasn't very difficult but I find that I prefer jam games on the easier side, so that wasn't an issue for me. Good job!

Fowl Play by Simon Rahnasto 2023-10-05T20:27:26Z

This had the polish of a full release! The animations are so cute, and the plot was a delight to follow and unravel. I liked the inclusion of the combat, and the whole theater aesthetics was genius, I laughed out loud at those ducks carrying car cutouts around. Great job to all of you guys.

Amazing Squirrel by Sora 2023-10-04T20:07:07Z

The models and animations are top notch in this game! I really enjoyed the soundscape too. I agree with what's been mentioned before though, a bit more interactions and a slightly less agressive camera would help. I really enjoyed playing nonetheless!

Tiny Tour by Bugord 2023-10-04T21:55:32Z

The mobile version works great too! It's a very cleverly designed experience, I like how the mechanics are introduced progressively. Great execution too, good job guys!

Cosmic Collapse by LaneDavis 2023-10-20T09:44:08Z

The feel of this game is top notch! Everything works together, the graphics and audio are awesome and the gameplay is simply fun!

Norton by Sozey 2023-10-03T04:45:59Z

@mahalis Thank you so much for the kind words, I'm really glad you enjoyed the game! I agree that a checkpoint there would have been more than welcome, I should have thought about that

Norton by Sozey 2023-10-03T08:46:37Z

@rezistor Thank you for playing! I'm glad you liked the controller, it took me a good chunk of the time to get them right

@caoker Thank you for the feedback! The integration of the theme could definitely have been clearer, space is limited on each platform and they'll collapse when it goes above a certain weight, but I had to make some platforms unbreakable to keep the game from getting into a blocked state.

Norton by Sozey 2023-10-04T09:42:35Z

@alanushke Thank you so much, I'm glad you liked the mouth made sounds and the explosions haha! You and your team's game is awesome too!

Norton by Sozey 2023-10-05T15:43:19Z

@martin-bousquet Thank you, I'm really glad you liked it! @mozokevgen Thank you! And yeah I agree that the dark colors don't help with seeing the edges, that could definitely be improved

Norton by Sozey 2023-10-05T16:51:05Z

@fifut Thank you for playing and for the kind words! I agree that the isometric view makes it hard to tell where you'll land, an indicator would definitely have helped with that!

Norton by Sozey 2023-10-05T20:22:57Z

Thank you so much @kuggenhoffen ! I'm glad you had a good time with the game, and I really appreciate the helpful and precise suggestions! Your game is great too!

Norton by Sozey 2023-10-06T14:05:15Z

@ididgame Thank you for playing! I agree, I completely overlooked that platforming with an isometric perspective would need some adaptation to feel right! Thanks for the feedback

Norton by Sozey 2023-10-06T21:22:41Z

@mastoast Thank you for playing, and for the great feedback! Agreed on all of those, and definitely things I'll keep in mind in the future!

@scolondev It's possible you got soft locked, I think the last opened path can't be accessed even by jumping with a fan in certain conditions! Sorry about that, and I hope you still had some fun with the game!

@frogman Wow thank you so much for the kind words! The final boss isn't nearly as polished as I had wished and you often have to restart if you lose there, I unfortunately ran out of time right on that part. As for the music looping, I copy pasted one of the audio sources I had in the scene and forgot to tick the looping option :face_palm: I really appreciate the detailled feedback and the words of encouragement!

@krassenstein Thanks! It was great fun to see you play it and get some live feedback! I had a great time hanging out on the stream and got to see some awesome games being played. Best of luck for the last week of your kickstarter campaign!

Looking forward to trying all of you guys' games!

Booze & Row by Gonzo13 2023-10-04T16:35:26Z

This was such a fun game! The art and animations are incredible! As others mentioned, a bit more feedback would go a long way, but you definitely have something!

Euclid's Manor by DarkWolf 2023-10-20T14:25:02Z

Such a cool idea, and a great execution too! It really does feel eerie to go through, and the implementation must have been pretty hard!

Limited Leg Space by spacecadet 2023-10-05T09:52:00Z

That's a very creative take on the theme, very relatable and a lot of fun! It turned out to be a lot of work to manage your seat-neighbors and fight for the window blind!

Sneak 100 by Noirox 2023-10-19T15:09:47Z

Wow, what an awesome entry! The game looks and sounds great! I really like the work done on the atmosphere, it made the game so much more engaging, and honestly pretty scary. Good job to all of you!

Critical Core by Benjamin Halko 2023-10-04T21:38:26Z

Incredible work (and to your dad too!) The game is a ton of fun, super juicy gameplay. Great design, and a great execution to back it up!

Pandalele by owca 2023-10-06T09:37:37Z

That was such a cute game, and a ton of fun too! One of those that you can really get into. The graphics are adorable and the music is lovely!

HEXAK by Phillip Scott 2023-10-16T14:16:24Z

This definitely was an ambitious entry! A ton of work went into it, the graphics are beautiful and the music is lovely. The gameplay is complex, and as others have mentioned a bit hard to grasp at times. Great job nonetheless, it's an awesome game!

Cathtulhu:Paws Vs. Paws by Yucong 2023-10-05T09:40:00Z

I loved the style of this game, the aesthetics are very consistent and pleasing to look at! The asudio is very cute too. Though as others have said, it takes a bit of time and effort to undestand what's going on, but once you do it's a very fun game!

Clause-Sphere-Phobic by eggsscrambled 2023-10-20T14:37:59Z

That's a really good game! It's a simple concept but it's super polished and very fun to play! Great work

Under of Nowhere by DocStep 2023-10-20T14:28:48Z

For sure one of the best moods I've seen in a game jam! I actually liked the lack of guidance, it left more room for exploration in my opinion. I'm glad you're continuing the work on it!

Brain Killer by LiveInside 2023-10-17T16:57:08Z

Great job with this one! The art is seriously impressive and I had fun with all the puzzles. The story hits hard too, and the music finishes selling it.

Dogeon Survivor by Henno 2023-10-16T12:05:34Z

The art is amazing! It's a hard game but it doesn't feel unfair either, and it feels like I can actually get better at it with each attempt. The concept was fun, and props on the dog puns for the card names! Good job to you two.

invenStory by Roroto Sic 2023-10-19T14:51:15Z

This is a super cool concept, really original! I love the lofi graphics, and the management aspect to keep our hero alive and his inventory clean at the same time! As others have said, the execution could be a bit more polished, but that's a great job for three days of work!

Lightbringer by Kabura 2023-10-04T16:49:40Z

That was such a fun game, lots of polish and great work on the game feel! The gun feels fun to just shoot with the character recoiling, the screenshake and the bullets tracing through the darkness! Super cool entry honestly.

Σίσυφος CATCH! by Rezistor 2023-10-03T08:34:33Z

It's such a simple game but it's so much fun! I love the music, and it fits the theme well!

Dead Zone by chaoli 2023-10-04T20:48:47Z

That's really clever game design! I like how they become harder to destroy when they're standing in dead zones, too. The graphics are very clean and nice to look at without distracting unnecessarily. Good job to the both of you!

Magic Fox Diary by Berin 2023-10-05T10:07:51Z

That's a rare genre to find in a jam, definitely a pleasant surprise! The storytelling is great, and the music supports it well. As others said, I tried a bunch of combinations in my playthroughs but didn't get to keep the fox just yet.

Under the Spot by A1ex Ng 2023-10-03T09:00:54Z

Super clever mechanic! It must have been hard to implement it and it seems robust, it didn't bug out at all during my playthrough. The art, music and overall atmosphere are great too!

Z-Swarm by TurboTartine 2023-10-17T17:01:48Z

Congratulations on achieving such a nice result on a new engine! The game is a ton of fun, and it looks good, sounds good and most importantly feels good to play. Good job!

Tiny Tower by Martin Bousquet 2023-10-05T15:56:11Z

I agree with the other commenters that the movement felt a bit fast but the game is definitely fun nonetheless! Managing to pass the higher floors feels great and the music is a good fit.

KeyBound by AgrMayank 2023-10-06T09:14:20Z

I liked the convept of unlocking abilities by picking up the associated keys, really cool idea! The graphics are great and I personally didn't get bothered with the colors and post-fx, I quite liked it! The tile set is awesome by the way!

Out of Spacetime by bellicapelli 2023-10-05T12:55:17Z

Gros épée by Courgette 2023-10-04T20:11:54Z

Sprinttech by JanOG 2023-10-04T17:03:06Z

Really fun game, and a genre you don't see too often either! I loved planning my course through the levels and getting the timing just right felt super rewarding!

Bikepacking Planner by MozokEvgen 2023-10-05T15:48:10Z

That's a cute experience! The gameplay is definitely original, and I like that you get different review line depending on how the ride went! It's a bit short but I think you've got a good start to expand on it if you'd like!

LD55 — Summoning

The Quacking Hour by StaNov 2024-04-27T21:36:57Z

Necromatcher by wilsk 2024-04-19T07:45:06Z

AS others mentioned this is a hard game but so rewarding when it clicks and you figure it out! The graphics are simple but clear and work really well for this type of game. Awesome job for making this in one day!

Summoning Circle Specialist by Jimbly 2024-04-16T13:50:48Z

That's a really interesting idea, and the execution didn't disappoint! Good work and impressive result, especially for a compo game

Pent8cle by samh 2024-04-16T13:32:14Z

It's really impressive the style you achieved with the reduced palette and scale! And the gameplay is great and deep.

Runic Summoner by freamdev 2024-04-16T10:19:35Z

Awesome voxel art! I'm glad you didn't give up, it was a really fun game, challenging but fun.

Witches Fishes by OlavDeng2 2024-04-16T12:32:35Z

I love the concept and the game looks great! As others have said, the UI could use some work but it's easy to say and hard to fit in such a short deadline. Good work to you guys!

gladiatorium by Jejkobb 2024-04-22T11:03:19Z

This is such a neat entry! I've had it bookmarked for a few days because I got curious about the art and now that I finalyl got to play it I'm really glad I did. The audio is super clean, the unlit art style works so well and I love the design of the gladiators. The gameplay is a lot of fun too, easy to get but hard to master. Congratulations to the team!

Tonidachi by JSMCAG 2024-04-17T11:21:42Z

That's a very cool entry! As others mentioned, time could elapse faster but in my opinion it's a balance issue and balance is hard to fit in 48 hours. Overall a really good job, congratulations!

Freezing Hell by Sozey 2024-04-15T10:04:00Z

@josang1567 Thank you for giving it a try! I haven't encountered this issue, did you toggle the bridge, like in this clip: https://youtu.be/s4gGKMjH9kw

Freezing Hell by Sozey 2024-04-15T10:12:42Z

@josang1567 Ah so sorry, I should have made it clearer! It's Tab to return to your main character

Freezing Hell by Sozey 2024-04-15T13:58:18Z

@troy-korns Thank you for playing, and I'm really glad you enjoyed it! I agree, the lever is ready to be animated but I ran out of time :(

@vrdiy Thank you for your feedback, and nice catch! I didn't think of going there with a minion, I should have tested better :face_palm: But I'm glad you liked the game overall (and the boss fight I spent way too long on)

@raimondosenpai Thank you for the kind words! I'm glad you liked my mouth-made sound effects haha

Freezing Hell by Sozey 2024-04-16T13:09:10Z

@human Thank you so much, I'm really happy you enjoyed the game! I really appreciate your comment. I think HDRP didn't help but my models aren't very optimized either I believe.

Freezing Hell by Sozey 2024-04-16T13:11:26Z

@pres2300 Thank you very much! I realised the issue with elevation when I was finishing up the level, the quick fix was to put a higher platform on the other side of the room but I agree that it would be much better to fix the root cause. Thanks for playing!

Freezing Hell by Sozey 2024-04-16T19:25:38Z

@ugly-robot Thank you so much for the nice words! Ah I know why on this one, I think the enemy spawn triggering logic is placed a bit far from the respawn point so it sometimes doesn't spawn them :face_palm: I really appreciate you giving it another go though, thanks!

Freezing Hell by Sozey 2024-04-17T11:39:42Z

@derllie Thank you so much! You and your team did great too!

Freezing Hell by Sozey 2024-04-17T12:16:06Z

@jsmcag Thank you for playing, and for the feedback! There definitely should be audio, that's strange. Did you run the Linux or Windows build? I was unable to test on Linux so it's possible there's an issue with that build :grimacing:

Freezing Hell by Sozey 2024-04-17T12:17:10Z

@thegreatcarpet Thank you so much! I had been practicing blender a lot since last LD, so it's good to hear that it's paying off!

Freezing Hell by Sozey 2024-04-17T12:17:52Z

@beebster-games Thank you so much! Those are some heartwarming words, have a great day!

Freezing Hell by Sozey 2024-04-17T12:19:07Z

@osvaldo Thanks a lot! I definitely had to sacrifice a lot of sleep to summon this game

Freezing Hell by Sozey 2024-04-17T12:20:15Z

@slagos Thank you for the feedback! I agree they're a bit too tanky for my taste, it's especially visible near the boss. I unfortunately ran out of time to play test and balance right at the end :/

Freezing Hell by Sozey 2024-04-17T13:09:26Z

@jsmcag Ah after a bit of research that seems to be a known issue: https://issuetracker.unity3d.com/issues/linux-no-audio-output-when-playing-audio :/

So sorry it gave you trouble, but thank you for confirming your OS so I could pinpoint it. Looks like I'll be using a different editor version next time

Freezing Hell by Sozey 2024-04-17T15:59:09Z

@fenix131113 @melissa-stodolnik @gruzdid @kseniya Thank you gang! Great job on your entry too!

Freezing Hell by Sozey 2024-04-19T07:50:08Z

@co5monaut Thank you so much for the kind words! To be honest the trick is mostly to keep moving/dashing to avoid projectiles while turning off the shield, and then focus on damaging the boss. It's not ideal from a game design perspective, I ran out of time to properly balance it and make it more interesting.

Freezing Hell by Sozey 2024-04-19T15:10:29Z

@justcamh Thank you so much for the great feedback, for the VOD and for a great stream!
