Hello @irinaM @anper,
The in-game tutorial is undeniably impressive, seamlessly weaving into the gameplay and proficiently directing players through the mechanics. Additionally, the arrows in the background serve as valuable aids in player guidance (although I would suggest considering a brighter color for improved visibility).
The concept of the comfort zone is intriguing, but it seems that leaving the zone doesn't result in player death, and you're left with 34 HP. I'm uncertain if this is intentional or a potential oversight.
The transition in music when departing the comfort zone provides excellent feedback to players.
In conclusion, outstanding work! This game demonstrates a remarkable level of polish.
Hello @lakea!
The game's concept is simple and fun. I found myself getting into the "flow" state after level 3. However, I think it would be more satisfying if the rotations were at 45º angles, especially in later levels where it gets pretty challenging. Hehe.
Overall, nice work on the jam! :)
Hello everyone! The game's concept, in which players must reach the final floor while contending with a closing, God-like Barrier, is undeniably intriguing! However, there are certain aspects that we can enhance, such as the feedback for enemy shots and your own projectiles. I'd like to recommend the video 'Juice it or lose it - a talk by Martin Jonasson & Petri Purho' to all of you for valuable insights.
In summary, the concept holds great promise; nonetheless, it will be crucial to effectively implement and balance these mechanics through comprehensive playtesting and refinement.
Howdy! Pretty interesting game, had a great laugh when using the gym machines ;). Also I love that the dog doesn't take the personal space hehe, Bert is like me fr.
