I love music based games, so this was a real treat for me. It got reeeally tricky after some levels, but the fact that retrying is so easy, made me retry over and over  Will get back with a rating once possible!

@znurre glad you enjoyed it, did you manage to complete all the levels?
Good game. I like the simple solid shapes. Rotating the level itself instead of the ship was a bit difficult at first, but managed to get used to it eventually. Got to the 4rth track. Can't beat it though, too hard for me =D

The concept is cool. I think would be a lot more fun and easier if the possible rotation angles were lower. So instead of the current (10?), it would be something like 4 rotations. The many angles and the complex shape make it hard to judge how many times I have to quickly rotate to get to the right angle. Either that or just a longer distance between the stuff could also work maybe also with the ability to dash/fast forward if that turns out to be too long.
Very nice stuff overall. Good job!
@lakea no, I "only" got to black sheep, which I could not beat
on average I get to yankee doodle and then mess up at 90%, im really intrigued to see if anyone beats it
Really fun game and also cant seem to get bast the 4th level. Really well done!
Hello @lakea!
The game's concept is simple and fun. I found myself getting into the "flow" state after level 3. However, I think it would be more satisfying if the rotations were at 45ยบ angles, especially in later levels where it gets pretty challenging. Hehe.
Overall, nice work on the jam! :)
Really like the concept. Took me a while to get used to the controls because I always pressed the wrong button and therefore rotated the wrong way. Maybe it would be nicer to smoothly rotate the ship to the target rotation instead of directly snapping there.
Fun idea! Rewarding to hear the song playing when you succeed. The timings are really tight.
Nice idea, I did keep rotating the opposite way of what I intended to. liked the simple and clear visuals, and the game mechanics is very mush self explanatory.
Nice work
I liked the simplicity of it but it did take me a while to get used to the controls. Good job!
Pretty creative idea, and I like the simple mechanics too. Aligning the ship with the obstacles is pretty fun since I'm also doing it by listening to the sounds. Later on though the games gets really hard, since the ship goes really fast and the songs get longer too. I definitely think you should add checkpoints, making a single mistakes means you have to start all the way over. Overall great game!
This game seems easy at first, but once you get into the later levels, you're going to have a bad time. I was getting very frustrated as I kept crashing my ship into the holes on the level called "Yankee Doodle." I don't know why Yankee wants to Doodle, but he's making me mad. I wanted to get further in this game because it seemed quite cool, but I was stopped in my tracks by Yankee Doodle. Why do I have to doodle with the Yankee? This game has snappy controls and nice graphics, but I can't get past the Yankee Doodle. It's soo hard!
...good work on this entry, it could be expanded into something more for sure!
Cool idea, as others have mentioned rotating the tunnel instead of the ship took some getting used to but the game is pretty fun once you get the hang of that.
I liked how colourful the tunnel graphics were!
fun and well executed!
Thanks for letting me play this! Excellent job!
Here's the VOD on YouTube to watch the gameplay, just skip to your chapter on the video! https://youtu.be/-eCnQ8GAhN8
Thanks all for the kind comments, im just working on a new build to allow you to invert the controls as quite a few people feel they are back to front.
It was better now that the controls are fixed but goodness it is difficult! I didn't get far but it's awesome to finish a compo game with both 3D and music-timing elements!
Neat game. I made it up to twinkle twinkle little star. Sometimes it was a little difficult to anticipate how many times I needed to rotate before the next gate.
Nice take on the theme! I like games that use music as part of the gameplay.
It's so difficult! I tried a lot, but I've only managed to get to Baa Baa Black Sheep, and after about 10-12 tries I only got through 22% of that. I think at this track the distances between the notes become too short for me to do the moves in time, and if I try to start sooner I make the first turn while still in the previous note and I collide with it. Maybe it would work better if the "gate" you already passed through (and the note was played) was removed (or had removed collisions)?
I'd agree with LeviDSmith that it's sometimes difficult to properly measure the amount of movement needed, but for me the biggest problem is that the movement is "jumpy", i.e. the camera instantly rotates to the new position instead of doing it smoothly. I can see well enough where I should move to, but when the world jumps with every move I lose track of the target. I guess it would be difficult to set the timing of smooth rotation properly - make it too long and you won't give the player enough time to react before getting to the next obstacle. I think that a quick but smooth rotation would be better than the instant switch, but it might take some work to make right.
The audiovisual side is pretty good. The models are simple, but for a game like this that's a must - too complicated shapes would only make for a distraction and could make it difficult to align yourself properly. The music tones sound nice, though I think the tracks could have used some light rhythm playing in the background.
Other than that, it's a cool game! Well done on timing the music with the visuals right, from what I've seen in the past few LDs that can sometimes be tricky.
