LD46 — Keep it alive

myBUDDY O.S. by Lawnchair Society 2020-04-20T23:32:47Z

The transparency is a really neat idea and it worked well on my computer. The time between enemies/powerups appearing felt a bit on the slow side so it would be nice to have something more to do with Buddy in the gaps but otherwise great job!

Universal Friend Organization (UFO) by ThePelranthean 2020-04-21T00:05:11Z

Nice job! I loved the puzzle aspect of trying to plan which planet to save next so none would die and the difficulty level seemed pretty good. The planet models are a bit plain but the UFO model is super cute :)

Keep the flame alive by Mcreamer6 2020-04-20T21:46:00Z

The style is fantastic and I love the way you did the smoke for the fire. In terms of difficulty the ramp up felt a bit slow until around level 8 but after that it got challenging pretty quickly.

it lives and grows by JulianMH 2020-04-20T22:12:20Z

That was a lot of fun. I was just going to grow one or two plants but one thing led to another and now I'm the ultimate gardener! Excellent job setting the tone with the music and art style.

Please Stay by topbraj 2020-04-21T12:27:19Z

Great job with the player character animations...the way they scurried around the house faster than everyone else really made me feel like an overworked host!

DDoS is coming by Alexey Akulovich 2020-04-20T12:23:42Z

Cool interpretation of the theme. I really liked that the server was literally on fire whenever it was over capacity :)

Mollie by DecadeDecaf 2020-04-20T23:47:17Z

Very fun and just the right level of difficulty! Fantastic level design as well. You did a great job of finding so many applications of such a simple mechanic and it was super rewarding to get the "Ah ha!" moment of figuring out the solution to each level!

Mycelium by BlobRoss 2020-04-21T01:55:58Z

Wonderful graphics and music, this game has an amazing level of polish for 3 days! It took me a few seconds of running around to figure out how to get more water after uselessly pouring my first bit on the floor but after I realized how the water worked the gameplay was really fun in a hectic kind of way :)

The Flame of Life by PandaSekh 2020-04-21T12:17:17Z

Really neat concept with the fading torch, I definitely felt the urgency of trying to make progress before I ran out of light to see. I found making some of the jumps a bit too challenging...but I'm typically bad at platformers so maybe it's just me :)

Cupid's Arrow Inc. Difficult Cases Division by SolitudeDude 2020-04-20T21:38:48Z

Clever take on the theme. You did a great job crafting the story with the introductions and card text.

Somewhere Warmer by tupto 2020-04-20T19:33:34Z

I was feeling so proud of carefully navigating the first set of obstacles without much damage…and then I accidentally jumped on the kid's head and killed it. 10/10.

The character art is very cute and I found the mechanics challenging without being too frustrating. Thanks for the great game!

RoboRepair! by brndncn 2020-04-21T02:11:22Z

Very cute graphics, I like the other operators and how they don't care that everything is breaking around them  I had a hard time figuring out which room was most in need of help without wasting time checking them all so some indication of the state of all the rooms might be helpful for encouraging more strategic decisions.

LD47 — Stuck in a loop

Sleep Cycles by Tygrak 2020-10-08T12:18:53Z

Fantastic job with the music and sound effect, it really set the mood!

Loop Cultist by udo 2020-10-10T13:27:07Z

Really neat mechanic and the room swapping and controls felt very smooth so great job with those! I think I got almost to the end from reading other comments but I ended up with three swap rows (the ones with stars instead of doors) so I couldn't do anything else because I couldn't figure out how to get out of the middle one.

Damn This Plane! by axelrinaldo 2020-10-10T13:03:33Z

As others have said, I found it a bit too hard, although my last few runs I had some luck convincing enemies to fly into the ground rather than actually trying to shoot at them (thanks for the tip!). I also really enjoyed the pilot's complaints :)

Inner Demons by seanarooni 2020-10-09T00:01:21Z

Loved your bold rainbow colour scheme for the graphics, it fit really well with the strange premise of fighting your inner demons with headphones and bell bottoms :)

As others have mentioned, I found figuring out when to use items and when to just hoard them a bit confusing but I think that could easily be fixed with some UI tweaks. Overall it was really fun to play once I got the hang of it.

Duplicafé by kantieno 2020-10-10T23:33:23Z

Really neat idea. It took me a day to even figure out how to make cider (should have read the directions...) but watching my day 1 self wandering around dropping apples all over the floor on the rest of the days was hilarious!

The goal system was a bit odd. I didn't end up accomplishing any of them but the game still progressed so it felt like they didn't matter at all...I guess if I play through again actually knowing how to do it I'll be able to achieve some and seem what that does :)

Edit: Forgot to mention the music was great, it did a great job setting the mood!

while (true) by Barrier 2020-10-11T00:07:27Z

Excellent out of the box thinking! I clicked a bunch and didn't figure it out, but glad there are lots of smart people in the comments so I can still enjoy how clever the puzzle was!

Tomb of the Mummy RL by Eldar 2020-10-07T17:11:24Z

My favourite part was the vase mechanic, it was really fun jumping out of them and exterminating a bunch of radiers!

One Day at a Time by PerfectSquare 2020-10-11T12:08:36Z

Thanks everyone for the lovely feedback. It's been wonderful reading about your experiences with the game!

@ubershmekel There is more! I think what you experienced was intended. On Day 4 you're supposed to run out of tasks on the list but still have some energy left. There are a few different things you can do with that energy...did you try the cat?

I was worried someone would run into that problem though and probably should have added a hint if you spend too much time at the end of Day 4. Especially for a jam game where bugs are expected (and there definitely are other bugs...I just found one where if you press space a bunch while sleeping it skips a day :/ )

Anyways, hope you have time to try again and get the full experience!

Unchangeable by Engired 2020-10-05T02:48:45Z

Thanks for sharing!, it's always great to play unique and non-mainstream games during LD! I was really shocked by how dark it got with the murdered family thing right at the start (although I think that's mostly because I associate gameboy-like games with happy games like pokemon). As others have said it would have been great to have some "choices" even if it didn't change the story at all (I went backwards at one point so maybe that was a choice?)

Lonely UFO by NicoCcino 2020-10-09T12:20:41Z

Neat idea and good job coming up with new mechanics to make the levels feel unique. It felt really frustrating when stars spawned outside the loop but maybe that was intended?

Treasure Hunt by cnewt 2020-10-05T03:22:25Z

Well done! I enjoyed the challenge of trying to figure out how a set of moves would work the second time they were repeated. There's a lot more depth to the puzzles between the repetition of the commands and the hazards than I was expecting when I saw the first level!

LoopLab by dearkh 2020-10-05T02:43:11Z

Neat puzzles. I really liked the first level since it was short enough that it wasn't too frustrating to be sent back to start if I ended up in a dead end and I could get a little bit further every attempt.

In The Loop by Luc-creationallabs 2020-10-05T03:04:46Z

Wow, that was really fun! Great job with the controls and visual/audio feedback, it felt really polished.

Buttercup#2 by MoHDI 2020-10-05T03:33:52Z

Well...that experience made me glad I'm not a hamster :p Also, good job on the music and art.

Minecart Dungeon by cyborgx7 2020-10-10T00:21:58Z

Wooo, I made it to the end! I think you did a good job with the difficulty. At first I was planning to suggest labeling the switches so you knew which track they controlled but after playing for a while I found the trial and error approach was pretty fun and I never got frustrated with it. Maybe because the cart was going pretty fast and there weren't any dead ends (or at least none that I encountered).

LoopingAges - LD47 by MorpheusZero 2020-10-10T23:52:42Z

Congrats on your first game! I really liked that you told a story and had the player pick a name for their hero. It didn't change the gameplay at all but made me feel more invested in getting to the end and fixing the time continuum.

Mobius Station by mrhthepie 2020-10-10T23:18:35Z

Super fun game and really well polished for a jam game. My favourite part was how it just kept going with new crate types and levels! After the first two or three levels I was expecting it to get really repetitive but there were enough new visuals and the added challenge of having to ship three different types of items later on that it never did. Excellent work!

i++ by SlavTurtle 2020-10-10T13:44:49Z

Excellent job with pacing and level design! The new mechanics/block types were introduced at a good pace and I understood right away how each new type of block worked.

Dwarven Delve by fronwewq 2020-10-09T13:13:46Z

Really creative take on a match-3 game! The conveyer belts add a whole new dimension to the puzzle. It would be cool to have more special object (eg. power ups that clear or slow down your belt ) if you do any post-jam development.

LD48 — Deeper and deeper

Underblood by ToadieTechnika 2021-05-08T14:04:03Z

Great job with the music and overall a very well made game :)

Need more deep: Donut cover by Kurakurture 2021-04-26T21:52:53Z

The circular room level design is a really cool idea and you did a great job implementing it so the camera movement and lighting felt right. The controls were a bit awkward at first but once I got the hang of it I was able to make it to the end. Thanks for sharing!

Deep Cover by Liam 2021-05-02T21:03:24Z

Really great game! It took me a while to figure out exactly how all the mechanics worked but after I did I was hooked! I ended up spending a ton of time playing until I figured out a strategy to win...it got super intense when I had 95% suspicion on the final opponent  Thanks for sharing such a wonderful game!

Meditation Journey by schwede 2021-05-02T21:21:00Z

That was a really relaxing experience, well done! My favourite part was how calming the background sounds were.

Flood Fill Miner by Baturinsky 2021-05-02T21:11:23Z

That was a lot of fun. A nice simple idea so easy to understand and you did an excellent job implementing it. Although the game didn't have fancy graphics I don't think it needed them. The visuals fit the theme and very clearly showed the player all of the relevant information (showing the point values in different colour text was a really creative idea!).

LD48: Down the Rabbit Hole by LMB 2021-05-08T13:56:58Z

Cool concept. I died a few times before I realized I had to go back to the yellow square in the middle before the time ran out but once I figured that out it was a fun and engaging game. I really liked the audio, especially the beeping when the time was about to run out...it saved me many times!

Undermined by Alex Davies 2021-05-02T14:34:21Z

Nice game and impressively well polished for a jam game! The sound effects were really well done and the visuals for when the extra blocks broke if you combined more than 4 were really satisfying.

Cool Dude Cave by ZachsButt 2021-04-26T22:21:40Z

Fantastic job with the animations (as others have also pointed out)!. You also did a great job making interesting boss mechanics and a pretty good variety of hazards/enemies for a jam game. Well done!

Blobby Da Blobfish by somestufz 2021-05-08T14:21:11Z

The combat was a bit frustrating because of how slow you are but the bosses/characters and the music were both awesome! Well done :)

LD50 — Delay the inevitable

Hurrikeyn by Josh Riley 2022-04-06T22:45:17Z

Fantastic game and insanely well polished for a 48h game! Some things that stood out: - The typing menus are cool - The tetris mechanic when things hit was not what I was expecting but also 10x better than the instant game over I expected! - Awesome music.

Curious where you got your word lists from? There was an impressive number of works and lots of uncommon ones which made the game much more engaging.

3rd Emu australian war simulator by sebbernery 2022-04-18T14:53:56Z

That was very silly, I was so surprised and panicked th first time they got angry and charged me! Excellent idea and very well executd.

Need for Sleep by dodormeur 2022-04-06T21:59:26Z

That was a really neat experience. Great job! The effects on later stages were super cool and a bit mind bending to try to type through. I did end up with one weird situation where I accidentally started a word that was hidden under another word and then had to guess the next letters through trial and error so it would have been good to have some sort of backspace functionality. But that was a really minor issue in an overall awesome game :)

Can't Escape Your Past by Marcenat 2022-04-06T22:32:48Z

Great job on the graphics and audio and the idea of having to navigate around your past self is super cool. I did find the timings for the wall jump quite tricky which made executing the puzzles very challenging but the other controls were pretty smooth.

Calcarus I by oller125 2022-04-18T14:36:20Z

The music was fantastic! Being the mediator of an intergalactic conflict was a super cool idea. It would have been even better if there were more choices early on since there was a long time before the first decision.

Only You Can Try In Vain To Prevent Forest Fires On An Active Volcano by bigbazwa 2022-04-18T14:26:03Z

The panic was real :cold_sweat: That was a really fun game! After a few play throughs it wasn't clear if the trees actually mattered or if you could just let them all die and hide safely in a corner to wrack up the points.

Doomsday Survivors by Who 2022-04-18T14:47:44Z

It was very fun to mow through swarms of enemies and feel *powerful*!

Goblin Escape by PinballJunior 2022-04-18T15:06:35Z

That was amazing  The art style was top notch and the mechanics were very fun!

Garden of Death by Flawed_Gamer 2022-04-06T22:24:00Z

Very cute game. I love the flower reaper, so adorable <3. Also great job with the music, it really helped set the tone for the game. As others have mentioned there's some room for balance tweaks to make it easier at the start (expected for a jam game though!) but once you get the hang of it it's a lot of fun.

Don't Let the Bookbugs Bite! by DamonWakes 2022-04-18T14:09:09Z

Cool idea! The death sounds were hilarious and the bug sounds were appropriately terrifying. On my first run the map generation was a bit weird but the next run it was fine.

Waiter Tray by Ramil Dev 2022-04-06T22:05:26Z

Cool concept! I got stuck around the 30 point mark but might come back later to try to get higher :) I like that the things on the tray also bump into each other so once you get a full tray you have to make sure you don't accidentally knock everything over, it added an extra layer of complexity.

LD53 — Delivery

Terror in transit by tinykidtoo 2023-05-02T20:08:21Z

I was impressed with how many little things you thought of to make it feel immersive! For example, the guards yelling "I've been attacked" after you stun them was more realistic than I was expecting from a jam game. The "lean" mechanic was also a pretty neat idea.

Mail owl by vidarn 2023-05-03T17:36:17Z

Fantastic game! The art was excellent and the music and sound effects really set the mood. In terms of the puzzles, I found them just the right difficulty. I solved them all without looking at the hints or getting frustrated but they each took a bit of trial and error so it was very fun and engaging. Very well done

The Delivery by Ace17 2023-05-01T14:15:44Z

Well done capturing the creepy mood with the sound effects! It was fun to explore and I was a bit disappointed that the ending came so soon (although understandable for a jam game).

Plane of Destiny by KOHCEPBA 2023-05-01T14:44:38Z

The folding and unfolding mechanic for the planes was *really* cool. For the flying part, the controls took a bit to get used to and I didn't understand the random wiggling whenever you pressed W at first. When I read your comment about it I was able to start playing around the direction changes which was fun but originally it just felt like the controls were broken. It might help to have something like a little gust of wind animation to the side whenever the player is rotated so it would be more intuitive how the mechanic works.

T.E.M.P.S (The Enchanted Multitasking Potion Shop) by salyon 2023-05-01T14:05:32Z

Fantastic job with the artwork!! I loved the little puffs of smoke in the first minigame and other small touches since they made the game feel really polished. In terms of gameplay, I also failed pretty quickly once the fourth minigame was added but I think that's part of the challenge and I had fun trying a few times to see how far I could get.

Messenger Boy by alec 2023-05-04T20:32:12Z

Oh man, so much nostalgia. Really well done with the art and music! The idea for adding new mechanics for each letter was a nice twist and made it feel like a new mountain on every trip.

I did notice that sometimes I got stuck on/in obstacles (eg. if I timed my jump wrong and landed on the fence). I was able to jump again to get out of it and never had to restart or anything but it did break the flow of "go go go deliver the letter fast".

A Town in Labor by EvoGenGames 2023-05-01T15:16:02Z

This is so cool! I had so much fun trying to figure out the flight patterns and optimize my scores. You also did a great job picking the colour palette and adding the little bird visuals to set the mood (it looks WAYYY nicer than I was expecting when I read that it was an Excel game )

For anyone else who doesn't have Microsoft Excel, I was able to play by importing the file into Google Sheets. It's not perfect (some of the tutorial images were squished) but the gameplay works just fine and I'm so glad I didn't have to miss out on trying it!

Packontra by CaptainDreamcast 2023-05-01T15:38:13Z

Hahahaha, that was a fantastic intro! It was hilarious to begin with and then the voice acting made it 100x better. The controls were a bit unusual (eg. having A as jump rather than Space or Up arrow) so that took some getting used to but I was able to deliver a package eventually!

Spuggy's Pizza Delivery by BayouSoftware 2023-05-01T14:30:48Z

Overall a pretty fun game. I played for a bit until I somehow managed to run into a barrier and tip my scooter upside down :/ Once I figured out that you could pick up multiple pizzas at once by just stopping in the pizza pickup zone it was way more enjoyable (and I should have read that tip in your description!)

Sender Not Found by whycardboard 2023-05-04T20:01:01Z

Really neat game and excellent job with the writing!! As others have already mentioned I did struggle a bit with differentiating 1s/lowercase Ls which slowed me down but otherwise I didn't mind typing out the codes. Although it did take away some brain power that would have been spent thinking about the story.

One more thing, not sure if anyone else has mentioned it but thanks for sneaking in the content warning about references to violence, etc. into the intro. That was very thoughtful (or a happy accident if you just intended it as random intro dialog )

Souls on Board: The Styx Delivery Service by Boon 2023-05-02T20:23:50Z

The audio was well done and I found the stories the people told pretty entertaining! The controls took a while to get used to and even after I had figured out how to work around the beginning of stroke/end of stroke mechanic it felt awkward and I often ended up turning too far and smashing into things.

Baby Dino Delivery by Cobear25 2023-05-04T20:14:19Z

Cute little dinos! I liked the wiggle animations, they gave the game a lot more personality. In terms of mechanics, it was great that you experiemented outside the standard match-3 formula. I found that the extra move mechanic added a lot of depth/strategy to trying to maximize your points while still deliverying the required dinos.

Memory fun by Helen 2023-05-04T20:46:08Z

Nice simple game  Matching storks and houses was a great idea! Also, the animation when you got a pair wrong was a really nice touch to give some extra feedback.

Space Delivery by Kirbloid 2023-05-04T20:53:41Z

Cool idea and well executed! I ended up playing a few times to try to improve my score and it was really fun trying to figure out how to bounce the weirdly shaped cargos to maximize combos and bonuses.

Alien Midwife by BangKerpow 2023-05-05T19:38:24Z

Excellent music and sound. It really set the mood and made the game feel even more hectic than it already was. Also the text above the eggs when they were in trouble was a good addition since it made it much easier to see quickly which ones to prioritize when there was a ton of them on the go. Well done!

Fulfillment by fargred 2023-05-04T21:07:01Z

Interesting concept and you were able to capture the stressful feeling of trying to put boxes in the right places fast enough. I agree with others that a warning about upcoming mode switch would help it feel more fair/fun since you'd be able to play around mode switches rather than just randomly losing points if it changes at the wrong time. The UI could also use some more polish...even just a non-default font would make a big difference (although understandable given time constraints).

The managers were definitely my favourite part! They were so funny and I enjoyed the very manager-y behaviour of blocking the slots they spawned infront of so you were prevented from actually doing your job until you talked to them :joy:

Messenger by ljg 2023-05-02T19:35:40Z

Interesting take on the "delivery" theme. The awards when you completed a run were also a nice touch. It took me several tries (and many bleps) but I figured out how to get to a winning ending eventually!

Witch's Familiar by Nion 2023-05-04T20:41:05Z

What a beautiful game! I loved the style you chose and all of the pieces (art, music, font) fit together really well. The movement controls and picking up mechanics were also very smooth and even situations like putting the rock on top of the package and then picking up the package worked intuitively without any fiddling.

In terms of puzzles, my favourite one was the part on the last level where the gear you needed was on top of two doors. It took me a bit of thinking to solve but not too much to get frustrating. Anyways, really nice game, well done!

WEB in AIR by Yizao 2023-05-02T19:53:36Z

The web mechanic is awesome! You also did a good job balancing the game in my opinion since it's forgiving enough for you to learn the mechanics at the start but gets really crazy when you're trying to optimize and get a high score.

Return To Sender by hacktic 2023-05-03T18:03:57Z

Great game! I thought I was doing so well until the UK place names part :joy: It would have been neat if there was a map of the UK on the desk or something to give you a reference for ones you didn't know.

Nice job on the graphics too. The fake stamps were hilarious and I actually laughed out loud the first time I got one

LD54 — Limited Space

Zombies In The Hall by recursor 2023-10-04T15:40:43Z

Nice job with the level design! I liked that there were a couple different mechanics and a variety of interactions (eg. arrows shoot zombies AND arrows can block zombies) so it felt like there was some choice on how to go about solving each puzzle. The song was a cool addition as well :)

Ishmael by dob 2023-10-04T02:23:14Z

Nice idea and very well polished/lacking bugs for a jam game! I liked that you gave the player lots of different upgrade options and it felt like there was some strategic choices in deciding which city upgrades to go for. I went with mostly factories and farms which was going well and making me rich until Moby came and ate them all...Still a fun game though and easy to pick up/understand what to do!

Unstable Resource by dhargan 2023-10-11T00:22:16Z

Nice simple game. I agree with others that 100 is a bit high, would be better with only 1 or two clicks before you have to decide to stop or not.

Door Slammers by gagouman 2023-10-04T02:14:23Z

Neat game! Something about the music/sounds/pace felt very hectic (but in a good way) and really got me immersed in trying to get the meals done and not burn too much. As others have mentioned the small-ish hitboxes (both the trash and the delivery counter) gave me a bit of trouble but once I got used to them it was fun to try to optimize oven temperatures and when to put in/take out various items.

Cave Crawl by jellycopter 2023-10-04T02:10:03Z

Interesting take on the theme, it definitely felt like "limited space" when I had the poor guy crunched into a tunnel with his arms and legs all facing the wrong ways  As some people have already mentioned I did have some times where hands/feet would get stuck and be hard to find/click on.

KosmoPod by Hakro 2023-10-05T23:31:50Z

Nice puzzle design! You really did a great job introducing different types of situations and gradually increasing the difficulty! I had a lot of fun figuring out the last few levels where you had to plan multiple steps ahead and drag things from across red sections.

PS - Had the same issue as others with the web build where the "good" tiles didn't show up so ended up using the Windows version

Musical Tunnels by Lakea 2023-10-06T00:19:31Z

Cool idea, as others have mentioned rotating the tunnel instead of the ship took some getting used to but the game is pretty fun once you get the hang of that.

I liked how colourful the tunnel graphics were!

Petits Chats by FullSaphir 2023-10-06T00:28:21Z

So, I clicked on the game because your cat is cute, but then I ended up really enjoying it :smiley_cat: Great interpretation of the theme and the art/sounds/music were all simple but fit together well to create a really compelling experience. Well done!

Limited Heart by Dennis Magnusson 2023-10-03T22:29:00Z

Great job with the pacing of the puzzles, especially how you used the videos to introduce each new mechanic! On the first puzzle it took me a minute to understand that you were supposed to put the shapes in the red heart...I thought it was just another piece at first since it has the same background image/outlines as the other pieces. But after that I really enjoyed the puzzles and was dissappointed there wasn't more (although understandable for a jam game, especially with all the effort put into the skits!)

Auto-Pilot by woona 2023-10-04T15:53:13Z

Excellent game! I had a ton of fun trying out different types of ships and ended up playing through twice. Also really well done on the art and visual style in general. I found the UI very easy to figure out and understood right away how to place ships, etc.

To the Starfield: a not-open-world rpg by Xlores Liang 2023-10-04T16:07:47Z

Really cool idea and it was very fun to puzzle out what order to do things in to get to the end! I think the roll for the quiz was supposed to give a loading screen but it didn't (not sure if it's a bug or not but I was still able to get to "The End") The art was also really cute! Well done!!

Sheep Birder by ellaris 2023-10-03T22:35:23Z

Fun game! I had absolutely no idea what I was doing but had a blast playing anyways  In particular, not sure if I missed it but there was nothing explaining what the power ups did so I was just picking random ones (except the clock...I figured out that one I think).

I really liked how the sheep ate whenever they walked by a field (even if they didn't need to!). It made them seem like they had personalities/were alive and added an element of strategy to try to direct them away from fields to speed things up.

Overall a lot of fun, well done!

Really cool concept and excellent job coming up with interesting puzzles :)

The_Box by KANAGG 2023-10-04T16:03:30Z

Wow, 15 seconds! I thought I was doing well with 1:04...The first time I tried it got stuck on the wall and stopped moving but after I restarted everything worked as intended and I was able to finish the game. Neat concept and the music was really nice :)

DEFRAG-MENTOR by lucydango 2023-10-05T23:57:08Z

Neat idea, I really liked how you made all the windows actual windows you could drag around! The gameplay was fun and felt well balanced for a jam game...I got to the end of the game but it didn't seem too easy (although I'm usually not good at tower defense games so maybe that does mean it's too easy  ) Would have been nice to have even more variety in helpful "programs" to install but understandable given the time constraints!

LD55 — Summoning

Summoning Circle Specialist by Jimbly 2024-04-24T20:54:33Z

This is a great game! The music, sound effects and visuals all work really well together and I got sucked into fiddling with the circles to try to get 100% each time. The information on the right is also really well presented so that the trial and error portion felt somewhat scientific rather than just randomly moving things around. For example, if I needed a few more percent power it was really helpful to be able to mouse over the power and see exactly what was "unpowered" when making adjustments.

Overall an excellent entry, well done!

LD55 - Hell Binder by pebkac 2024-04-16T01:06:31Z

Cool take on the summoning theme. I really liked the idea that defeating bosses gives your hound more powers and would have loved more levels that gave different powers (although understandable for a jam game to be short!) The falling animation is also really cute :)

The Summoner, serving justice by tinykidtoo 2024-04-16T02:21:54Z

The music and backstory were great! Very creative :) I also enjoyed the level design, it felt like a very interesting place to parkour around in and would have been even better with more levels (or more victims after the first one).

Raccoon Tycoon by netguy204 2024-04-16T02:04:12Z

Very creative interpretation of the theme! I liked that you added the lines to see where the racoon was thinking about going, it was definitely helpful on the last level. I also made the mistake where I wasted all my treats early and then didn't have any in the last level. Initially I thought it was a bug but then when I read the comments and went back and tried again it actually made the game more fun to try to be conservative with treats in the early levels!

Flockin' Demons by Bewelge 2024-04-26T15:32:07Z

Very cool concept and the lighting/sounds do a great job of setting the mood!

Riftward by Flightless 2024-05-01T00:02:46Z

Really innovative idea! I love the lack of jump and the "levitation field" instead..it was a lot of fun to figure out how to use levitation effectively.

Zoomancy by ugly_robot 2024-04-16T02:30:44Z

This game was awesome! Super impressive how many small polish effects you were able to add (sounds, animations, particle effects, etc). My favourite was the squish when you moved the knife in the brain.

There were a few times where I got confused/surprised by the creature turning out differently from what I intended to draw but I think that might just be because the lines I made were too wiggly. I tried to reproduce to get a screenshot of what I drew vs. what it summoned but those ones all turned out as expected...maybe because I was being more careful :shrug_tone2:

Anyways, really well done game, I had a lot of fun playing it and am super impressed with how you were able to make something so polished.

You have to summon a [slime] to pass the final! by Kiseki 2024-04-25T15:27:17Z

Fun to experiment and see all the items you added and well done with the effects when you summon something!

Imp Master by Owtuvammo 2024-04-16T02:15:52Z

Really fun game! I almost missed out on it because I didn't understand the controls initially :( Specifically, I missed the fact that you needed to **hold** right click to summon instead of just clicking so I couldn't get it to work.

Once I figured the hold right click part out the game was super fun and I spent a bunch of time getting all the way to the end! The puzzles were a good difficulty, not too hard but not too easy (which is rare for jam games!). Others have mentioned having issues with the levers in the corners and/or levers in general but I didn't run into anything that frustrating with those.

Winds of Change by Zamizmi 2024-04-25T15:09:15Z

Neat idea and very cute graphics. Between the screen wrapping, the huts and the ziplines/wires it was a good puzzle to try to avoid the guards. I did have to do some waiting for the guards to be in good places but a lot of the time I was able to find a route to the next beacon that didn't involve just waiting.

Elementary Evocation by SigmoidDev 2024-04-25T16:40:29Z

Loved the graphics and the UI art! The idea is also a really cool take on the theme (and very ambitious for 48 hours!). In terms of gameplay it took me a bit to figure out how spawning spirits and mana/wave mechanics work but once I understood everything it was a lot of fun experimenting with different strategies to find a good one (if anyone's wondering 3 earth guys and nothing else does not go well  )

Overall a great game and congrats on getting such a big project done in only 2 days!

LD56 — Tiny Creatures

Shrew by LightningST 2024-10-10T21:19:36Z

Wow, this was a phenomenal game. So many things stood out to me that made it such a great experience.:

- Wonderful graphics, the characters are adorable and I'm impressed you were able to have so many given the time constraints! - The puzzles were incredibly well done, there was a nice variety and they all felt challenging but fair (I was never once stuck or confused). - The UI was simple but very nice, the text scrolling is a small thing but made the whole experience feel sooo polished. - The tutorial was also really well done, I barely even noticed I was being taught how to play because I was too busy reading the story! - Lastly I love how all the creatures have different voices, it's such a nice touch and really gives them personality.

Overall a fantastic game and one of the best Ludum Dare games I've ever played. You should be really proud of how it turned out!

W.A.S.P. - Warrior And Scout Protocol by Paroxysmal 2024-10-10T20:15:14Z

Nice graphics for the wasp and bees! The XP drops staying at the very edge of the screen was a bit annoying but I found I could mostly play around that by waiting to kill the bees until they were closer to the middle. The power up selection UI was really nice looking (unexpected for a jam game!) although I assume the power ups were chosen complately at ranndom because one time all three of my choices were shield XD

Space Station Pet Rescue Force by PerfectSquare 2024-10-08T12:34:04Z

@vitalina Thank you!

@coderaurus Thanks! Wow that pressure plate sound is bad, there was definitely some sort of audio glitch going on because it did not sound like that in the editor

For future players I've re-exported the audio and uploaded a new build so your ears don't have to experience that horror!

Space Station Pet Rescue Force by PerfectSquare 2024-10-10T18:32:00Z

@sudocoffee The colours are all from one of that palettes that comes with Aseprite, I believe it's this one: https://lospec.com/palette-list/aap-64. Glad you liked the colour choices though. I wasn't so sure about the green walls when I first added them but they definitely grew on me!

@gdman Combining the pick up and drop controls is an excellent idea for reducing complexity and definitely near the top of the list if I end up working on this again!

AntVasion by SoloAdventurerGames 2024-10-10T19:03:02Z

Good idea, and definitely captures the gross-ness of having ants crawling around your kitchen (unfortunately speaking from experience :( ). I had a bit of trouble with aiming, especially when the ants got close to the tank..not sure if I'm just unskilled or if there's some issues with how the crosshairs line up with where the shots go but overall it was pretty fun and satisfying to play!

Ladybird Samurai by ellaris 2024-10-10T19:44:33Z

Very satisfying game! The slash mechanic felt super fun and it was really rewarding to get the enemies lined up nicely and then smash them all

Particle Wars by NickHellquist 2024-10-10T19:32:17Z

What a great game, I had so much fun playing! The background music was awesome, it really set the mood well. I also like the choice of simple, but clear graphics. My gameplay wasn't really impacted by the lack of contrast between the enemies and the background but reading these comments I can definitely see how people with different monitor settings might struggle. Overall amazing job though!

LD59 — Signal

Earth Assimilation Readiness Protocol by PurpledArtFrog 2026-04-21T23:43:30Z

Wow, this is so ambitious for a 48 hour game. It was very overwhelming the first time through and the real time aspect doesn't really give much extra time for reading and trying to figure out what's going on. My second play through went a bit better although I pushed rescan way too much and destabilized quite fast. After two attempts I feel like I still only understand ~60% of how to play but it was a lot of fun regardless :)

Buried Treasure by Pincushion 2026-04-21T23:33:51Z

Cool idea. I wasted so much money on recharging the battery because I didn't read that you could still dig without it!

Star Traveller by nyxkn 2026-04-21T23:18:30Z

Awesome game! Great job with the writing, I got invested in the story right away. The decoding mechanic was also fun, I liked how the sound changed as you were getting closer to the correct answer so you had another indicator for how close you were. Well done!

Data Routing by StormSword 2026-04-21T23:30:01Z

This is such a cool concept! I found it very hard and ended up just kind of guessing the timings even after reading the instructions about the metronome ticks and ground colouring. It was fun to watch the robot follow my commands though (although very frustrating when I gave bad directions and it just ran straight into a laser beam!) The character animations are so cute when he is recording :D

Catch the signals by Fifut 2026-04-21T22:15:31Z

Took a bit to figure out what to do but it was a fun puzzle once I figured out the mechanics. The signal bouncing sounds were very satisfying :) It would have been nice to have a control for rotating boxes in place because picking them up to rotate them seemed to center them in the viewport so they wouldn't get put back down in the same spot.
