LD42 — Running out of space

PistonBreak by Gipzo 2018-08-16T20:10:10Z

Awesome little game! I really love the audio and visual feel. Obviously an animated character would be good, but it wasn't a big deal at all. I also really like how the second to last level got pretty intense. If you end up adding more levels I would love to see more like that one.

Reverse by Goutye 2018-08-15T20:21:21Z

Really awesome game! One of my favorites so far for sure. Graphics, audio, control, and originality were all amazing. Great job!

GLASS HOUSE by AkirAssasin 2018-08-16T17:15:17Z

Super cool game! I love the visuals and the strategy it takes to win. Some chill music would really enhance the mood.

Pyyrolysis by Ace17 2018-08-13T17:08:16Z

Looks great, I like how it gets more and more confusing as you bump into things and get rotated all weirdly. I played on a trackpad, so controls weren't super great, but I'm sure it's much better with an actual mouse. I also liked the creepy music.

Huke by Hegemege 2018-08-13T17:14:31Z

Really cool! You should keep working on this, I really like it. My only complaint is that the grapple didn't always behave as I expected it too, and sometimes I couldn't grapple to the door even though I was right in front of it.

Escape the Big Rip by godsboss 2018-08-16T20:15:23Z

Awesome pixel art, but I agree with the other comments, the lack of music and lack of challenge takes away from the entertainment of it. I also couldn't figure out if I was supposed to run into stars or avoid them.

Eventful Horizon by bitdecay 2018-08-16T21:49:08Z

Oh wow, I will be shocked if you guys don't win. The cutscenes and animations were amazing. The music and sound was perfect. The whole art style is great. You obviously put a ton of effort in. The way the camera flips around is way cool too. I like the original mechanic of throwing yourself to where you need to go, it's not necessarily the funnest way to move through a level but it's unique and really cool. Well done! This submission almost makes me feel bad about mine because I probably only spent about 10 hours working on it.

By the way, such a beautiful ending.

Pop it! by LJay 2018-08-15T04:02:01Z

So funny and cute, I love it!

Mommy Hates Playday by Kciwsolb 2018-08-16T19:10:12Z

Really fun idea. The graphics are great as well as the overall mood of the game. I also had issues with super fast look speed, so I got a headache really fast.

Tight Rooms by Aszu 2018-08-13T14:44:05Z

Great game! The music fit really well although it did get a little annoying after a while haha. I love the art style and the level design is really good. Some of them have the closing in walls timed so perfectly that you get a really good feeling of haste.

Deep Down by Nyunesu 2018-08-14T20:29:08Z

Great music, great visuals, and great level design!

Shrinking Ceiling by drikdrok 2018-08-13T17:17:38Z

I tried to download the mac version but I get this message `You can’t open the application “Shrinking” because it may be damaged or incomplete.` Not sure what the issue is.

Shrinking Ceiling by drikdrok 2018-08-14T19:59:16Z

Ok, finally got a look at it. It's really fun, I like how the shrinking doesn't restart on each level, so it's kind of a speed running type game. The one thing it's missing is some cool music, but obviously you opted out of that judging category, so great job!

Climb by Albin 2018-08-16T20:17:48Z

I really like the art and the framed animations. Lack of sound made it somewhat uninteresting though.

Getting Some Space by Qazikol 2018-08-13T15:06:30Z

Very beautiful. Not super fun, which probably isn't the point. But I love the art style and the mood the music gives.

Corrupt Space by jmswrnr 2018-08-16T14:01:14Z

Awesome game! I really liked how creepy it was. Took me a bit to figure things out, but I really like the mechanic of behavior based on where the light is shining. Great job! It was my first jam too, so I appreciate the effort you made.

Way Up! by Biodiesel 2018-08-13T14:38:10Z

I love the art style and the controls work really well, but it's a little hard to control, but in a way that makes it challenging, not annoying. I like the chill music too.

grindatron.tv by Donitz 2018-08-13T17:03:41Z

Awesome game! I love the controls, the visuals, and the AI. Sound effects are great too. The only thing missing is some fun futuristic music.

Closing In by Cobear25 2018-08-13T16:51:09Z

@donitz Thanks! Yeah, I feel the same, if I end up working on this some more I need to improve lighting, it's really hard to tell until you're close.

Closing In by Cobear25 2018-08-13T16:52:24Z

@ace17 Thanks! And good suggestions. I agree completely. It is possible to get beyond that, but you have to get lucky with a bunch of boost rings. That's about the max I ever got. Some people suggested to maybe have the rings or something else slow down the walls closing in, might make it a little more interesting.

Closing In by Cobear25 2018-08-13T18:23:33Z

@andrew-friedman Haha yeah, I was pretty lazy about that. But thanks!

Closing In by Cobear25 2018-08-13T18:23:47Z

@ghen Thanks!

Closing In by Cobear25 2018-08-13T18:24:08Z

@ian-kettlewell Thanks so much! You're not the first one to suggest that, it's a really good idea!

Closing In by Cobear25 2018-08-15T02:58:27Z

@sveta Are you playing on Safari by chance? For some reason the ship doesn't render when I run it in safari. I also don't know how it will work in IE or Edge. But thanks for checking it out!

Closing In by Cobear25 2018-08-16T19:05:22Z

@star-garden @kciwsolb Thanks so much! Very good suggestions.

Closing In by Cobear25 2018-08-16T22:01:18Z

@norrimo @johannimations @estudios-y-producciones-gusa Thanks so much for the feedback. I really like the idea of an option for inverted controls, and the rings could definitely be more interesting. If I end up doing more with this game I will take those suggestions into consideration for sure. Thanks!

Shake It 'Till You Make It! by Estudios y Producciones GUSA 2018-08-16T22:07:51Z

Very original idea I love it! Casi nunca se ve un juego que es puzzle+music.

LD44 — Your life is currency

The Akolythe and the Amulet of Andhor by zondarg 2019-04-30T03:17:52Z

Great stuff, it would be cool to see what you could do with some more time.

Reaper's Keeper by chelC 2019-04-30T03:35:39Z

Great art, awesome feel. A future version could maybe have more variety. I think sometimes I did the right order but it still didn't work, but some little bugs are to be expected in a jam game. Overall I loved it though.

The Gardener Queen by Cobear25 2019-04-30T03:13:47Z

@zondarg Thanks! Yeah, that ambush could be smoothed out for sure. But it's possible to last a little longer if you stock up on turrets.

LD45 — Start with nothing

The Life Spirit by Cobear25 2019-10-07T12:12:18Z

@zanyg @brandon-js-lea Thanks for the feedback! I couldn't agree more. Because of the time pressure I didn't get it to where I wanted, I really want it to be more turn-based and strategy oriented. I think having a limit on tiles placed before each wave is the way to go for sure.

Scrawl A Draw by rdcooper 2019-10-08T15:57:32Z

pretty great to have an online Etch A Sketch

Colour Shot by HumphreysMedia 2019-10-08T16:09:27Z

I love the visuals, the one thing missing for me was some cool audio

a new beginning by Reasonable Games 2019-10-08T16:06:40Z

Cute. Fun art. Some background music would be nice, but the time limit does make that hard for sure.

LD46 — Keep it alive

Autoexec by reheated 2020-04-24T21:01:21Z

Super cool concept with the custom keybindings. Audio is great, the UI and backgrounds look really good. I think some higher contrast in colors would help quite a bit, but overall I loved it. Well done.

Inhabitable by inzombiak 2020-04-30T15:32:27Z

Oh man, it's impossible to not smile while playing this haha. The intensity escalated very quickly which is my only complaint. I actually checked your game out because at first glance it looks extremely similar to mine. I also have a little planet but instead of the planet catching things, there's a little guy that has to stretch out his arms to catch shooting stars. Anyway, well done!

Vigtafl by bwalter 2020-04-21T16:11:44Z

Awesome submission, really cool game and the aesthetic is great. I think an easier intro level or two would go a long way.

Potater Toss by BoxedMeatRevolution 2020-04-24T20:48:40Z

Really funny game. It was pretty fun, but the best part was that it was goofy and funny. It took me a while to find the play button on the home screen though, so maybe that could use some improvement.

Inkazimor by bellatrion 2020-04-27T19:03:34Z

Great submission! It was a bit tricky to figure out how to play at first because I didn't see the instructions on this screen. So maybe something in-game would be good. The mood and humor of this are top-class. And you got a lot of stuff in which is really awesome.

SPACE GARDEN by katamary 2020-04-23T22:39:38Z

A web or mac version would be great. Also, it looks like we had very similar game ideas: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/46/star-keeper-ludum-dare-46

Tiny Fragments by Daniel Moreno 2020-04-24T20:32:39Z

Great game, I'd love to see more of this.

up in the sky by stuffed wombat 2020-04-20T13:35:40Z

Cool stuff, very fun and frustrating at the same time.

HareFare by Gumboot 2020-04-21T21:16:07Z

It looks wonderful, any chance you can get a mac or web version uploaded?

Battery Panic by HacksawUnit 2020-04-20T13:22:33Z

Great submission! I totally think you could take this idea further.

Good Squire by Eli Delventhal 2020-04-24T21:06:21Z

Very polished, well done. The art is super great, and there's a lot of detail throughout that I really like.

The Seeker by GeorgeBroussard 2020-04-22T14:57:58Z

Very fun and challenging.

Advise the King by Arden 2020-04-22T13:30:22Z

Looks cool, any chance of you uploading a web or mac version?

Tower Defence of the Heart by terry 2020-04-21T16:21:05Z

You can never go wrong with a tower defense game. Looks and plays great! And the music made me laugh.

Soul Seed by unept 2020-04-21T14:02:38Z

I love it in every way. Super cool and fun. You got a lot of content in as well which is great.

Firelighter by WoooWooo 2020-04-23T20:46:02Z

Took a while to fully understand the controls, but then it got fun when I held down the speed button.

Mother Hen by beepyeah 2020-04-21T14:05:52Z

I also experienced some seizures while roosting, but totally worth it (that's my favorite part). A very simple game but super elegant and fun.

My Friend Phil by Conroy 2020-04-23T22:30:47Z

Great submission! It's funny, looks and sounds great, and is really fun. The controls, especially wall jumping can use some improvement, but that's totally post-jam improvement stuff. Wonderful job overall.

VampySitter by MacDoom 2020-04-23T20:57:54Z

Really fun idea. I love the pixel-art throughout and the overall move. It was a little difficult playing on a trackpad, but not too bad.

The Exigent Ecosystem by coatline 2020-04-21T19:26:31Z

Really cool idea. The camera controls were a little difficult to use, and the bright colors were a bit jarring. I love the concept, and it seems to work well. I think with some improved visuals this could turn into something great.

Protect the Walnut! by Eduardo Yukio 2020-04-27T19:15:02Z

Nice job! I agree that the controls are a little iffy. I think W for jump would be better since the mouse is also being used. Also I think the vertical camera offset could be adjusted, the guy was too high on my screen and I couldn't even really see that first red button. Obviously the visuals are very basic right now, but the level design was good and the game was fun.

Keep What Alive by Valeth2124 2020-05-04T15:53:35Z

Great game, lots of polish and detail!

Star Keeper (Ludum Dare 46) by Cobear25 2020-04-20T13:09:59Z

Thanks @attx !

Star Keeper (Ludum Dare 46) by Cobear25 2020-04-20T14:13:17Z

@mad-scientist-carl What particularly did you notice in the controls that could use polish? And thanks for the feedback.

Star Keeper (Ludum Dare 46) by Cobear25 2020-04-20T14:30:29Z

Thanks @gajop ! With more time I would have loved to add more variety and strategy.

@mad-scientist-carl Great feedback. Making catching stars easier was on my todo list for sure, I just didn't quite get to it. I'll probably add some polish after the jam and be sure to make those improvements. I'm not sure if the rules allow me to adjust things like that before judging is over.

Star Keeper (Ludum Dare 46) by Cobear25 2020-04-21T13:55:43Z

@bloodyaugust I actually am using continuous collision detection, but the colliders are small. I just pushed a slight fix that went along with an existing bug. Should be a little bit better now. @black-flag The thanks for the feedback! Should be a little bit better now.

Star Keeper (Ludum Dare 46) by Cobear25 2020-04-21T21:17:04Z

@wooowooo Woah, I haven't even done that, pro move for sure.

Star Keeper (Ludum Dare 46) by Cobear25 2020-04-23T20:50:48Z

Thanks @macdoom The Little Prince was an inspiration for sure.

Star Keeper (Ludum Dare 46) by Cobear25 2020-04-23T21:00:03Z

Thanks @blue-pin-studio You can actually tell how close you are to losing based on the face the planet is making and how many cracks there are. Once you get to a full frown it's game over. I do want to enhance the arm grabbing for sure. There's code in there right now that prevents you from just draging the hand a little bit past the star to grab it, but I want to make it clear that the best way is to pull it back and launch. Ideally the hand would launch twice as far as pulling back.

Star Keeper (Ludum Dare 46) by Cobear25 2020-04-23T22:34:18Z

@blue-pin-studio That does work if you put the hand out far enough, but not if it's close by. I could have done a better job of making that clear for sure.

Star Keeper (Ludum Dare 46) by Cobear25 2020-04-24T13:26:32Z

@jonrei Are you moving the cursor to where the stars are and releasing? If so, that's not the way to catch them. You actually want to pull the arm back and fling it toward the stars, or drag the arm past the star quite a bit. You can see in the gifs above. I do want to improve it though to make it more clear and easier to play that way. Thanks for the feedback!

Star Keeper (Ludum Dare 46) by Cobear25 2020-04-26T02:37:04Z

@jcourt Thanks, I'll see if I can get that fixed.

Living Light by zubspace 2020-04-28T19:06:57Z

Awesome job. Really smart way to have the user put the cursor in the right spot at the start of each level. I like the overall mood of the game too. No complaints really.

Remember, Apollo by AdamCYounis 2020-04-24T21:10:34Z

Really great art and storytelling. Such a unique idea.

do not go gently by nsadie 2020-04-24T20:41:59Z

Really cool game! I think fighting monsters could use some balance maybe, and the UI doesn't quite match the quality of the game art and overall vibe. But those are just minor little things. I think the game is unique and fun, and has a really cool mood.

Keep Ivan Trotsky Alive by evlko 2020-04-23T20:49:39Z

Very funny, one of the weirdest things I've ever seen. I kind of wish there was more control somehow.

Olive and Kale by Rea 2020-04-23T22:35:07Z

Any chance you'll get a web or mac version up?

FACE LOVE! by Gabe Lane 2020-04-21T17:08:37Z

Really funny, super polished, and the art is great. I think this is a very strong submission. Well done!

Eggs With Legs by Teto 2020-04-24T20:56:32Z

Cool idea, I'm not sure if I was doing something wrong though. The pea shooter attachment didn't seem to do much damage, and I couldn't pick up eggs. If everything worked as I expected though I think it's a great game idea.

pestilentia by ATTX 2020-04-20T13:18:06Z

Great game! The retro gameboy style is great and I really like the idea. I noticed how the people get a little janky when bumping into things. It looks like you're using unity. If you're not already, it might make it less jittery if you do movement like this instead: `rigidBody2D.MovePosition()` If you use the movePosition method on the rigid body instead of moving the transform it should perform better.

Wisp by Squeg Inc. 2020-04-23T20:53:37Z

Great game, really fun and challenging. The music gives it a great mood along with the visuals. I think some sound effects would make it even better.

Catch The Mouse keep it alive by GameOverMexico 2020-05-04T15:58:39Z

Really fun game!

Across the Lake by stephan steinbach 2020-04-20T13:25:18Z

Most beautiful game I've seen so far. I think you'll place really high in graphics. I also love how chill and simple it is.

LD51 — Every 10 seconds

Defend The Orb by Cobear25 2022-10-03T21:28:28Z

@thesnide & @mstrp Thanks for playing! Yeah, not much strategy. I only had about 6 hours over the weekend to work on this so I didn't get nearly much done as I had wanted. I'm hoping to eventually add a lot more balance and reasons to reposition the defenders for better strategy.

LD52 — Harvest

The Crystallographer by pianoman373 2023-01-10T03:36:48Z

Great game! Breaking those crystals is sooo satisfying.

Harvest Hewn by bwalter 2023-01-20T03:44:22Z

Great game! I especially love all the juice in both the gameplay and the UI. I didn't quite know what to do right away, regarding how to battle, but it didn't take too long to figure it out. It seems like the ideal strategy at the start is to move close, but not too close so you can go in and strike. If you end up working on this more in the future, I think it would be nice to have potentially more strategic options. Not that I have any ideas in mind haha. Anyway, great submission overall!

Growin' Ballistic by alaah 2023-01-09T21:52:52Z

Great game! It actually does run on Chrome on Mac, just takes a long time to load. The visuals are great, love the audio, and the twist on the theme is very clever. My only complaint would be that the intensity spikes very quickly, but maybe I'm just bad at the game haha. Regardless, I really like this submission!

Farm Island by Nikolaj 2023-01-11T03:00:23Z

Overall I think it's great. It just wasn't particularly fun for me personally. But that might be because I was playing on a trackpad. Very impressed though with the audio, visuals, performance, etc..

Strange Garden by Gunturtle 2023-01-13T03:49:52Z

Very fun and cute. Great use of Pico 8.

Harvest Moonlet by vinzBad 2023-01-11T03:15:40Z

Such a creative and unique concept. I also really enjoy the visuals. I clicked on your game because I thought that it would be similar to mine (harvest plants on a planet), but they're totally different which is great!

Fallowtide by Jeremy Ryan 2023-01-12T02:56:15Z

This looks cool, I'd love to play it. Any plans on a mac or web build?

Fallowtide by Jeremy Ryan 2023-01-12T03:12:44Z

@jeremy-ryan I'm tempted to do that (already have python3 installed). If I get around to it I'll send you a build that you can post.

Farming but also Flight Simulator 2023 by Hybitous 2023-01-11T19:40:09Z

Love it! One of my favorites so far. The controls were a bit frustrating, but in a good way. I think that's part of the charm.

Hex-Yield by AndideBob 2023-01-12T03:52:49Z

Great game! I love how there's no win/lose state, just chill and explore. The visuals remind me a bit of Yoshi's Story actually, which I love. Also, thanks so much for playing my game on stream!

Space Harvest 9000! by Vasco Freitas 2023-01-09T03:45:17Z

Cool game. I'm trying to play all games with the word "Space" in them because that's where I went with the theme as well. I like the puzzle of having different grid patterns for planting, watering, etc.. Other games like this are usually just min-maxing, but this requires much more strategy.

Space Harvester by Cobear25 2023-01-10T16:35:36Z

@zwodahs @john-wuller @tristan-doell Thanks for playing! Yes, getting lost is a major issue. If I had had maybe one more hour before the deadline that's what I would have taken care of. In a future build for sure though!

Space Harvester by Cobear25 2023-01-14T02:49:02Z

Great suggestion @pianoman373

Bloopy by SvenErik 2023-01-12T17:05:01Z

Love the art and the music, feels very polished. It was just a bit tricky to figure out what to do, even after reading the instructions.

King of the Valley by fnelix 2023-01-12T14:10:06Z

Cool game, I enjoyed it. Kept dying super close to the cactus king! The "harvest" theme is a bit of a stretch, but good game regardless.

Bloodsoil by AploveStudio 2023-01-13T03:47:59Z

This is one of my favorites so far. So simple, but so fun! I love how it's an action game, but also somehow super chill.

Reap 6 (2 players) by VerttiXPertti 2023-01-12T13:59:53Z

Very creative idea. I think it's fun, the one thing that I think is missing is a way to keep track of which body parts are missing, or some sort of guide for what's needed. Also, collecting 6 people seems to take a while, maybe a shorter mode like first to 3 would feel a bit better.

Asteroid Rush by Aarimous 2023-01-11T03:11:48Z

Great game! It's fun, it looks great, and the audio is hilarious.

Selective Reaper by Nick Sandison 2023-01-12T14:03:55Z

Doesn't work on Firefox Mac. Chrome works though, just takes a while to load. Also, a play again button would be nice. Anyway, on to my impressions:

Super fun idea. The visuals are good, and the whole design is super funny. Great submission!

EarthWorm Bob by Senso 2023-01-11T17:18:56Z

Super fun/funny! The controls were a bit frustrating at times, but maybe that's just because I used a track pad. Love the audio.

Green Thumb by shimmerscale 2023-01-11T03:06:54Z

Some of my favorite visuals so far! I like the simplicity, that makes it more focused and fun. A lot of the games I'm seeing have a similar concept, but the complexity keeps me from wanting to play. One issue though, I'm using firefox on a mac, and the size isn't quite right, cutting things off, even in full-screen. Screen Shot 2023-01-10 at 8.04.24 PM.png

Shroom Harvest by hdh 2023-01-09T21:42:23Z

Great idea and very fun! My one complaint is that sometimes I can't see the arrows on the tiles. A fleshed out version with keyboard controls and more camera movement would be cool. Maybe more variety in the tiles too.

Food Flinger by ofoof 2023-01-21T03:02:23Z

Awesome game! It was pretty challenging, maybe a little bit confusing to figure out, but the concept and crazy veggie physics are great.

LD52 - Space Cargo Harvest by megafatsquirrel 2023-01-13T03:30:02Z

Nice one! I also went with a "harvest in space" theme. I'd love more types of upgrades, more variety of dust to collect, etc...

Veggie Harvester by NaNixDev 2023-01-13T03:35:26Z

Nice one! I always love a good twin-stick shooter. Unfortunately I was playing on a macbook trackpad, so it was a bit difficult. I did feel like the bullets from the enemies were maybe a bit too fast, and maybe it would be nice if the player's bullets were a bit bigger too. Apart from that, great job overall!

LD53 — Delivery

Parcel Pursuit by bloodyaugust 2023-05-02T02:37:57Z

Wonderful submission, it's visually delightful and super fun!

The double jump precision confused me at first, but once I figured it out I enjoyed the challenge.

Age of Mail by Swordfish 2023-05-02T02:59:10Z

Great game. I like the visuals and the vibe a lot. The way everything works together with cities generating mail and with timers on each one is really cool. My one complaint is that after a little while I didn't feel motivated to keep playing since there's not really an end goal or negative consequences for delivering slowly as far as I can tell. I do like that it's chill though, a lot of these delivery games are very samey and are just a bit stressful, but I would still like some sort of goal to reach.

I'm sure you have plenty ideas in mind and just didn't have time to get them all in.

Dante's Delivery Service by Scott Steffes 2023-05-03T03:09:45Z

Very fun! A lot of the submissions I've seen so far have this basic concept, but they're not exactly fun. This one looks great, sounds great, and feels great!

Baby Dino Delivery by Cobear25 2023-05-02T12:42:58Z

@bloodyaugust It's very simple actually. For hard there are 6 different dino types, fair has 5, and easy has 4. And the generation is the same for each, it just creates a random board until there are no matches, then displays the visuals.

Baby Dino Delivery by Cobear25 2023-05-04T20:01:26Z

@weirdbitgames Thanks so much! Yeah, the sounds were all from my mouth except for the "extra move" sound which was made in garageband. I had originally planned for it to match the theme even more with a pterosaur swooping in to pick up and deliver the babies like a stork, but there just wasn't enough time to get that in.

Baby Dino Delivery by Cobear25 2023-05-04T20:02:30Z

@ben-toosey Thanks! And yeah, that's the biggest issue for sure. Once the rating is over I'll probably add some sort of mechanic to make it more fair. Like letting you shuffle the requirements or have lives.

Spacella by Dandala88 2023-05-04T02:41:28Z

Awesome submission. I appreciate that it's meant to take a while so you can just go back to it every now and then, though I think I'd prefer to choose some sort of fast mode or something where I can play more in real time. The balance of losing money as the trucks move with earning income each time a planet is hit seems like it could take a lot of strategy. With more time it would be cool to see that balanced really well.

Package Punk by Pomo 2023-05-03T03:23:02Z

Very cool game. It's not always smooth moving around, maybe a bit too much to bump into, but getting this all put together is super impressive.

Solar Express by Jellybean 2023-05-08T02:03:32Z

I really like the concept and implementation. If you had additional time, I think a bit more polish could have gone a long way. Great submission!

Frogivio by milq 2023-05-16T21:58:13Z

Great mood and style. I also like how the physics are a bit more loose than other games in this genre.

Unwelcomed Delivery by BlueDandelion 2023-05-16T21:54:11Z

Nice one! I'd love to see some on-screen indicators for life and such, but apart from that it's great. I like the visual style and it's good and challenging.

LD56 — Tiny Creatures

SNANT by Cobear25 2024-10-07T01:59:06Z

@bromakesgames Let's go Ant Squad!

Help From Within by Pincushion 2024-10-09T17:38:05Z

I really like the concept. Good level design too. The movement feels a little weird though, so if you were to work on this in the future I'd vote for that. Overall it's a great submission!

A Bug's Wife by Aurailus 2024-10-22T20:24:26Z

Great game! I didn't find anything too new or innovative, except for maybe the snake mechanic. However, I'd rank this game high in every other way. The audio and visuals were delightful, it was fun, polished, and I was able to play through the whole game. Great job!

LEAF SLURPERS - tiny creatures by Tankou 2024-10-22T20:30:47Z

Awesome submission! It has it all, it's fun, cute, delightful, feels pretty polished, great visuals. No complaints here. I'm not sure if it's something that could turn into a larger game one day, but it's great for some quick play high-score chasing. Great job!

Love and War on Your Face by Googoobachoo 2024-10-09T17:32:14Z

I struggled moving my creature, or even knowing which one to move. Cool idea though, and I think it could be great if you had more time to work on it.

The Red Beetle Squad by Vidu 2024-10-07T21:37:00Z

Very polished! I'll have to see if I can get a group to fully test it out. But overally I'm very impressed. I guess maybe it would be nice to have a very clear way to play and character to choose if you're playing by yourself. But the visuals, mood, everything is great. And adding online, wow. Well done!

Bug Warz by hotaloca 2024-10-07T20:35:58Z

Even after reading the rules I was slightly confused, but I did manage to beat each one. I'm curious what this game could turn into given more time. Well done.

Jurassic Justice: Miniature Mayhem by Mogmi 2024-10-15T03:21:53Z

Awesome game. It's pretty janky, but in a way that gives it a lot of charm. Reminds me of early 2000s flash games. I got to the space section and then all my dinos got left behind, but the game kept running. Anyway, great submission, felt like a full and complete game.

🐸 The Toads Guardian by Natahan 2024-10-07T21:42:36Z

Great game! It's very cute and fun. I did get stuck though by the yellow frogs pinning me to the top. Other than that one issue, I'm not sure what else I'd change. Overall, great job!

🐸 The Toads Guardian by Natahan 2024-10-07T21:52:39Z

Ok, I kept playing and beat the game. I started considering the "getting stuck" as a feature and a challenge to avoid it haha.

Ladybird Samurai by ellaris 2024-10-15T03:30:41Z

Awesome submission! There are some obvious things that could be improved upon (probably wasn't enough time for polish), such as better UI, and some of the powerup descriptions weren't super clear. But the gameplay itself was pretty cool once I finally figured it out. Very unique and surprisingly simple. Overall, great submission!

Tiny Flings by Shoalmuse 2024-10-07T02:22:31Z

Haha, great game. The little camera view in the corner cracks me up for some reason. Also, this has the perfect amount of challenge I think, you can keep trying so it's not overly frustrating.

Brood Defense by franklyn01 2024-10-07T20:53:48Z

Cool game. The bug AI works well, though I think a different layout might be a bit better. The visuals are great, though it would be nice to have an indicator of which bugs have already been placed. Also, some audio would come a long way. Overall though it was really fun, great job!

Anthill Defense by BroMakesGames 2024-10-07T02:15:19Z

Really cool, I love a good RTS. No major complaints except that I think maybe the selection buttons didn't work, or I didn't realize how they're supposed to be used. Overall very impressive for a Compo game, and I bet this would be a fun one to keep working on. Well done!

Tiny Adventure by Kuadret 2024-10-07T20:41:31Z

I'm not seeing anything at that link

A Moving Service by Irene02 2024-10-07T20:46:15Z

I love it! I got to 10 or something, but I'm not sure. Might be good to include the score on the "you lose" screen. Anyway, it's very cute and funny, and challenging at first. I'd love to see more pieces of furniture and some sound effects. But overall great job!

Tiny Blood Cells by lloydlobo 2024-10-07T20:42:14Z

How do I execute that love file on mac? Or is there a web build maybe?

LD57 — Depths

Walking Simulator by Tero Pulkkinen 2025-04-14T16:45:32Z

Haha nice. I actually do like the vibes, would have been cool if you had more time to add some sort of gameplay.

Down by Skyeward 2025-04-14T16:41:57Z

Cool game. Somehow I beat it without ever encountering an enemy. So all my trades were basically useless haha.

Focus Hunt by dhim 2025-04-07T03:09:32Z

Interesting take on the theme. I really like the visuals and the idea behind it. If I'm being honest though, it just wasn't super fun to find stuff. Maybe that's just me though, it was tricky to find/identify things further in the distance. Cool submission though, and it's awesome that you did it with your daughter!

Sokobound by farzher 2025-04-08T02:43:51Z

Very fun, very hard. I think it's just missing some music and sounds maybe

Wormin' Down by Cobear25 2025-04-08T14:22:46Z

@tiar oops, that’s a big haha. Should say “Victory!” Anyway, thanks for playing!

FOREMAN by SYPIAC 2025-04-14T16:32:51Z

Cool game, though to be honest I was a bit confused at times. I clicked on the screen when the tutorial text was up, so I didn't get to read it all. I was mostly confused about what the "danger" stuff means. And also a bit confused about when I should expand outwards, does it just increase the number of cards you can place?

Also, I got a game over saying I ran out of cards, which was confusing to me, I still had cards in my hand and spaces to play in.

Apart from that though, I think this has a lot of potential. I really enjoy games with this type of gameplay. Well done!

Explodicaves by ThatFirey 2025-04-17T18:29:22Z

Great game! It's fun, good audio and visuals, challenging but not too much.

Coals of the Eternal Cycle by sqqqwer 2025-04-07T03:30:20Z

Cool game, I really like the vibes, and the cycling is super smooth, I did all three endings!

Bag of Bag of Bag of Holding by ZettaSimp 2025-04-07T03:17:17Z

Cool idea. I think there's a bug with the bag of queueing, or maybe I'm just misunderstanding the rules, it seems to allow adding items even if there are no empty slots.

Anyway, I like the concept a lot, it really makes you think outside the box.

LD58 — Collector

Heart Collector by khaotom 2025-10-09T20:48:26Z

Very nice! It took me a bit to figure out how everything works, but it was still fun even before knowing what I was doing. I love the audio and visuals, very moody. The gameplay feels great too, well done!

Crumbs by leparlon 2025-10-09T20:29:55Z

Very funny. It was evil and frustrating, but in the perfect way. Great take on the theme!

Sherd by xlambein 2025-10-17T16:36:43Z

Nicely done. I personally would have preferred keyboard controls I think, but that's not a big deal. If you had had more time it would have been fun to see some animations on the dog and sheep, and maybe a separate entrance where the sheep sometimes try to escape or something. But for what you got done it's pretty solid. Well done!

Rock Collector by Cobear25 2025-10-06T00:26:27Z

@thoastbot Interesting, I haven't seen that. Thanks for playing and letting me know!

Rock Collector by Cobear25 2025-10-06T15:10:35Z

Thanks so much @threeli I think I maybe found the bug. Pushing a fix now that'll hopefully resolve the issue. And thanks so much for playing!

Rock Collector by Cobear25 2025-10-06T15:26:14Z

@thoastbot @threeli I believe I've fixed the bug. Also fixed scaling issues on the Game Over screen, so you can actually see your final score now :face_palm:

Rock Collector by Cobear25 2025-10-07T15:31:03Z

@oxropy Those are very much bugs. Didn't have time to really clean that up. The one thing that is a feature is that if you place a 4th rock in the box, the first one will be removed. So you can sort of manipulate it deliberately beyond placing the 3rd rock. Thanks for playing!

Rock Collector by Cobear25 2025-10-11T13:19:28Z

Thanks for playing @ghettobastler! It actually is supposed to show the scores when you hover over a space, I’ll double check if that broke somehow.

Rock Collector by Cobear25 2025-10-20T20:13:41Z

Thanks for playing @yibirabbit007 If you click on the ? button on the shelf screen, it explains how the scoring works.

Stamp Collector by grid96 2025-10-17T16:26:24Z

Very nice! It's very cute and fun. Moving things around the screen to make room seems kind of annoying at first, but it eventually just gives the game a lot of charm. Love it!

Adult Life by kremlebot 2025-10-06T19:49:29Z

This game is brutal! Almost as brutal as real life. Great game. Haven't gotten remotely close to age 60 yet

Clean That Garbage! by robert18 2025-10-09T20:52:06Z

Cool game, the theming for tower defense is fun. I struggled to get points, not sure what was going on. Overall nice entry though.

Duckollector by ghettobastler 2025-10-09T20:37:02Z

Awesome game! Probably my favorite so far. I love the visuals, audio, fun gameplay, and the unlockable stuff made me smile. Really well done!

I do wish I had more days though, I wasn't paying attention to that and ended up losing when I think I was on the right track.

Rujum Jare by Yoav Kagan 2025-10-21T15:13:32Z

Very nice! It's relaxing and challenging at the same time. Also, it cracked me up when I would accidentally smack into my stack and send rocks flying. Great submission!

Pure soul by SiluetSalat 2025-10-06T15:41:33Z

Cool game! I'd love to see it taken further. The way where you have to actively target enemies and use the ability is a cool variation on traditional RPG combat. I'm not a huge fan of the drag and drop mechanic for using the abilities, but that could easily be improved with a right click or something, or even hot keys for abilities.

Also, it was a bit of a pain adding souls and abilities each time. Persisting those would be nice.

Spaceship Scrapdown by jabzey 2025-10-17T16:31:58Z

Very cool game! Probably the most fun I've seen so far. I think the only thing missing is improved visuals, so they actually look like ship parts. But apart from that, it's a great concept and solid implementation, well done!

BALL COLLECTOR by kanelisokeri7 2025-10-12T19:06:07Z

Good effort. The jump feels a bit weird, looks like you're just increasing the y-position. There are probably some great tutorials for jump mechanics in Scratch, I recommend looking into that. Not a terrible game though, you got something done and that's worth celebrating. Great job!

biologist by ne40k 2025-10-12T19:03:13Z

The art isn't bad, too bad you weren't able to get more done. That's ok though, game jams are a learning experience and next time you'll be able to get more done and understand scope a bit more.
