Loved the frenetic gameplay! Great work. Had a fun time destroying all those turrets. The sound design is perfect with the overall feeling. Congratulations!

Loved the frenetic gameplay! Great work. Had a fun time destroying all those turrets. The sound design is perfect with the overall feeling. Congratulations!
LOL Had a blast playing your game! Got to the end of the map. Was a challenge at first but then realized that with W and S and the right rythm that keep keeps rollin' QWOP vibes Ultra fun. Excellent work!
DIE GYLLA! HAHA! Took some wrong mutations slots to get it right. Ultra psycho style! The "one truck for convoy" took me a while also. Excellent monster mutation design. The abscess made me lol. Good job!
Beautiful game. Loved the amosphere and the chirping wa a nice touch. I'm really used to flying games so it would me nice an invert Y axis option. Anyway is an outstanding entry for a jam! Excellent work
Fun mechanics! It was a fun experience. Somehow I suppossed that all torches were in straight line so got stucked on the "2nd" one. Running fast is so fun that maybe the complicated plataformy sections feels restrictive. Excellent work!
This is genius! So many things that can be done this way. Love the idea to connect to a webpage with some friends anda have some adventures
JAJAJAJA! Enviro Bear 2000 vibes! Got stuck with some lampposts for a few minutes. Great game!
Hi. Couldn't play your game. Tried several times but couldn't get past the start screen. Sometimes the game started but the intro layer kept on and the metal plate didn't appear. Tried closing and starting again the browser as someone suggested above but didn't worked for me =(
@zenris I use chrome
JAJAJA! Wacky game! I loled quite a bit. Took me a round figuring out that I was *giving* the food to them. Funny noises. Great work
Cool game bro! Good fights, its fun to keep the balance betweeen orbiting an enemy and keep the shots in line. Excellent work. The capturing ships mechanic has great potential!
Looks awesome and interesting. The grapple mechanic and air-jumps supr cool. I know it's been said, but if you can reduce the mouse sensibility at least it would be a great gameplay enhacement. Good job
5/5 CONGRATULATIONS!! BRUTAL! Give them the 20000 dolars! This game IS IT. This is what I call a complete experience in videogames. The graphics, the music, the "bbrlarblarblgh" are all just perfect. This game really caught me. It's all so well knited thogether (applause emoji)
3:31, 9 citizens! At first I was really lost. Now the strategy is to chop the first customer and get the pieces near the monster. Worked for me for the first minutes. Really fun concept. I love how the customers keep shopping between the chopped pieces. I appreciate the simplicitybut a few touches of animation and audio would upgrade the games atmosphere.
And those bloody customers cant keep their products from falling! They deserve the axe! Nice Work!
je ne comprender beacou francais mais votre jou was lovely, innovative and has an unique approach to the theme. 5/5 besides understand everything.
HAHAHA! Hilarious game! innovative mechanichs and the theme was core. Music remined me Dwarf Fortress. Excellent entry! 5/5
Mario RPG and paper mario going on here! Loved the 2.5D Nice work!
5/5 !! Excellent game! One of my favorites so far. The feeling is great, the flying mechanics intuitive and brilliant parralax. Loled with my first attemp to pick un a worm during flight. Hats off!
I will survive! Played till the end. Excellent work! Loved the mix between minimal pixel-art with real sounds. Lots of atmosphere going on here! If anything I would adjust is the ultra easy first areas. I'll keep following your work (y)
Nice graphics and atmosphere! In the minigame of the dj couldn't move vertically ot horizontally :( Anyway it's a fun experience and the comic cutscenes are a great touch. Good job!
Fun game and really original. Liked the approach to the theme. Took me a while to get the rules as the instructions were partially covered on the browser. Excellent work!
Nice mix of genres! The shaders look super cool and the music is catchy. Great work!
Couldn't find any hostile food =( Good idea for the theme! With some extra work it will be an awesome game! Keep on!
Excellent game! Looks great and the combination of mechanics mix nicely. The only remark is that the health bar tends to cover the upcoming inputs for the burger maker. Nice work!
The mother walked in while he was sleeping =(. Thought that I figured out how to keep him alive hiding him the rest of the time. Good apptoach to the theme. The ET talking is funny but its just that. It would be nice to have audio feedback of the rest of the gameplay elements. Excellent entry!
Cool game bro! Niche challenge. Got to stage 5. When jumpingto the left the space button gets overruled by the up'n left keys. Besides that little frustrating issue is a great game that keeps the player at full concentration. Excellent work!
Loled with Diablo's "AAaaah". played it till the end
Brutal entry man! All the pieces of this game are so surreal! The audio really immersed me in the alien-ultra-sci-fi setting. Weapons system a bit weird, all my guns where substituted by propellers =( Excellent entry anyway. Honestly felt on a super schi fi world/situation. Good job
Awesome game! Feels finished. Tookj a couple of runs to realize the injured patients were being made at the background. I appretiated that it can be played with one hand and the operating commands were with WASD combinations. Awesome graphics and loled when got bombed for being a piece of carrot. 5/5!! Had a blast playing it <3
Lovely graphics! Picked up some poops hiding behind the buttons. Great impelentation of 2d and 3d graphics. How do you prevent the dragon from falling? Great work!
Thnx @goblinkingmatt !! Seems that the dark side is strong! Really had a blast playing your game!
Hey @hundred ! Loled quite a bit preventing playing with your screamy chicken! ;) Thnx for the compliment =O)
Thnx for the comment @fpixel. Congratulations on your entry, lovely graphics!
@hamzeh Liked that recipe. Keep on you chernobyl simulator!
@fluto Excellent game! I had to play till winning! Congrats to all your team
@frozen-spirit Are you using windows? Is the only port I can make for now. Or is it an Itch.io prob?
Hey @frozen-stick ! Fellow game maker! Can't comment right now on your LD page due to site's problems. Loved the frenetic gameplay! Great sound and overall feeling. Excellent job!
@dmtroy Thanks for the feedback! The garlic is meant to move Vampy more accurately for dangerous areas. There were a few obstacles that didn't made it to tha jam version. Hope to update it after a postjam cooldown. Now let's take a look to that Baby Dragon!
Thnx @peachtreeoath I had a fun time playing Food-Chuck. Wacky!
Hey @misterg420 ! Maybe I'll continue this game's development into something bigger. Lots of fun making it and lots of ideas but. Thnx for the compliment =O)
@ahistyap thanks for playing and feedback :)
@palvel Many obstacles and features of the original idea couldn't make it as programming + animating + audio creation all by myself was really time consuming. For the next jam I'll be harder, better, stronger and faster :) Thnx for the feedback. Excellent work with the Necromancer! The selection process is an important, yet overlooked, responsibility of a man who wants to raise a family.
@eulalia-porto-figueroba Thanks for playing. I really enjoyed your game!
@mathurin You're right. It was Vampy's hitbox while walking. Fixed on the web version. Thanks for the feedback!
@cobear25 A mouse is really usefull in my game indeed. A lesson I'll keep on mind for the next jam due to compatibility of different setups. Loved your game.
Thanks for the feedback!
@blackgoku36 Thnx for the comment. Maybe after a cooldown time I'll upgrade it =O)
@vernalbehemoth Yeah, it's a hard game. In the future will be a tutorial stage for that.
@DocGeraud Pun acknowledged jajaja! Congratulations for you entry. Tres jolie et artistique
Thnx @aj-jones! never played a game like your's also :v:
@primum-ludum The result counter is going to exist on a future update. thnx for the feedback.
@gwinnell For the organs I used Jeskola buzz's organ machine, it's free. The visibility circle is a great idea! It's going to my changelist right away. Loooved your game! Been playing a lot of retro FPS this month and you goit it right on spot.
@Zenris Great Idea! I'll implement it!
@jupiter-hadley Thanks for playing my game! You have to use the cross and the garlic to guide Vampy to his breakfast. Once he is near he will be attracted and willing to attack at left click. There's mucho to polish for a post-jam version.
@honest-dan Thanks so much for the feedback and being in your favourite entries. Never thought to be listed in one <3 Loved your game too! So much fun!
@joe40001 Thanks for the video! Your game was really interesting. Felt a little bad about myself after playing it. Very original!
Nice feels! Excellent artwork and text. A comfy experience
Loved the night sounds and the audio in general. There's something in the recorded sound that sounds like silence. The coyote howlings took me by surprise. There is an end to that campfire? Got it to the size of a small star. Nice work!
Beautiful graphics! The contol of the ship feels a little slugish. Loled with "I'm not a good driver". Good job!
Hard as nails! Only could get 2 turrets installed before getting killed. The idea is really original. I like the simbiosis between the player and his jaggernaut. The difficulty ramp could be a LOT flatter. Nice work!
Excellent job! Just wished more progressive challenges for my jaggernaut and the chance to control it at some point. Smooth voxels and awsome techno-spider design!
14069% pumped! Hiper mega creative idea man! An idea from ideas for ideas haha. Loved the concept and is preety interesting what happens with the player's mind. Even though every concept is linkeable, for imposible that sounds, one's mind keep trying to give it sense. Genius!
Very creative game. Reminds me of "the Little prince" by Exupery. Nice mechanics and physics. Good job.
Saved the plant! Fun game! That spaceship took me by surprise! JAJAJA Nice little game. The story was heartwarming too =)
Genius mechanics. Took me a round figuring out the "sound radar" was actually listening to the sound. Loved the overall feeling of the game as well as the two hand picked colors in it. Definitely I want to see this game worked through. Hang to your seats Ur-Quan Masters! Great work
Awesome game bro!! Ultra fun! Perfect for a multiplayer version. The mechanics were ad hoc to the graphics and sounds. Really a masterpiece
Beautifull graphics and audio. The radio and the context creates a great feeling in this game. Excellent work!
Fun game! Nice music and overall feelings looks integrated. Seems that is already discussed but when poisoned food changes when its on screen seems confusing. It's hard to 'unpoison' it in ones mind. Arcade fun! Good fun!
Excellent work! The selection process of a necromancer is a really important step. Loved the atention to details. Missed the fight tho. Congratulations!
Your game moved me so much that I waited till the dithering sky to be completely cream-white. The writing was perfect in the sense that gived the feeling to become present with a perfect spacing. Not too sharp, not too lenghty. It felt like one of those planets of "The little prince" by Exupery. Loved the shadows and the audio is precise ♫
ART! That's what I say!< this game is Only remark is the font that should be consistent with the rest of the game. Anyway 5/5 !! Hats off
Clearly I'm not able to take care of Cerberus! Lots of imagination putted in here, congratulations! There's a lot of ideas going on at the same time. A total challenge that's really hard!
Nice game, Simple game but it gets to the point. Hard to recover from the first hit.
31!! First thought it was just ultra hard but then i managed a balance for a while. Loved the thick outline... it gives a cardboardish look. Nice work!
Got a blank page at the end. The darkness and the crackling fire gives a nice mood as well as the shuffling sound of the cards. The text was a little difficult to read. SImple but yet effective mechanics. Excellent work!
@nsadie No, it was the notepad where everything is shown. But with nothing wrote
Strong archero vibes! Nice smooth movement and cool effects. Good job! Nice tune!
Tank Mode ON! Really satisfying to ram a horde of skeletons. At some point my charachter blew over the forest. The graphics are awesome. Good foundations for a game!
Awesome parallax! the traslucent layers gives a satisfying depth. Wasn't sure how much I was saving those people. Maybe a patient meter would help the player feel the pressure to hurry and save Juanita Juanitez. Great job!
Positive message! Good looking graphics and niec sounds. Loved the rain chant and the different uses for the clouds. Excellent work!
Picked some logs and tossed them into the fire. Apparently run out of logs and some blue spheres appeared. It's a base for a game. Good try for a jam, it's not easy to make a game in just a weekend. Liked the derelict looks of the character. Good job!
Awesome game! Love point & clicks and cult stories. That insanity effect feels awesome. The artwork gives a spooky sensation. Excellent work!
Beautiful graphics! loved the overall feeling of the game. the difficulty ramp is a little low. Great job!
Smooth graphics and music. Fun to look for clues. Nice work!
Nice game! Loved the palette and the graphics. Didn't noticed the magnetic poles for the first runs. Good job!
Strong message! Really an unique aproach to the theme. Nice work!
Awesome game! Shame graphics are opt-out :( Fun to SAVE Hitler for once jajaja, loled when that tank runned over him
Very creative and fun game! The mechanics keeps the player focused and the dialogues between the eyes are hilarious. Loved the alien language touch. Excellent work
LOL! Wacky game! I had a great time playing it. Nice approach to the theme. The quacking is hilarious. Good job!
It's amazing how in just a couple of day something can look like that! The mechanic of the game is really original and well carried out. Good Job!
Ha! Got the monsters legs! Great dungeon! Feels a little empty and you can just ran past enemies. Loved the artwork and the beating heart! HAHA! Tum tum! Tum tum!
Great and creative game! The mechanichs are simple and the challenge is high. Nice graphics and audio. It gives something to think about our own needs.
In the web version there's a probles using the mouse as the wheel keeps scrolling and is hard to keep tracking of the cursor.
Nice entry! Got 80.. tried to keep a circular momentum around the heart. I thought it was a good strategy till I saw my health meter XD
Nice graphics and good parallax. Poor boy, give him some shoes! Simple platformer with creative items. It's really nice that the powerups and the changes persist when you die. Great work!
Ultra polished looking game! It shows you have experience with the GameBoy. The fact that it actually can be played in a game boy is an ultra plus. Good level design. Sound feedback would have been nice when hitting the ground. Had a lot of fun playing it. Congratulations!
Beautiful game! I got surprised by a ultra giant pig and cow and found a chest right behind my house. Just could kill a little bear. The music sound crackilish on my pc on the web gamejolt version. There's a lot of potential here. Great work!
Lovedthe graphics, the moving robot sound, and the extending light when not moving. Good job!
LOL! Cool story bro! 1000 stars for creative writing. Would love to see all that! You've really nailed the theme from a perspective I've never seen before. Would love to see further upgrades. Achievements maybe to keep track of different endings. Got myself killed by the narrator and had disastrous jetpack experience
Congratulations!
The desesperation of radiation! AAAH! Couldn't call anybody or fill nitrogen or wash myself but that was fun! I hope you keep on working on this one. It can be a tottaly enjoyable simulator. Nice job!
Great artwork and lightning effects. Those golems are really tough, used all my arsenal killing one. Maze felt a little empty as one can just run past enemies. Hoping for updates! Good job!
Congratulations! The atmosphere and the sun making tree really made it for me. Excellent work!
It's a trap! HEHE! Great game! Creative mechanics! I liked feeling I'm moving machines to keep franko alive! Only wished that the dangers where something. Keeped me intrigued Nice work!
Felicitaciones! 5/5
Great work! 29 seems to be as high as I can go. Lovely graphics and the character selection gives a message.
Most creative game of the jam so far! I had a really fun time. Great work.
PS: Is rocket jumping allowed? Cause its hilarious!!
Amazing mix of genres! Can perfectly work as a board game. The music feels someway so fitted for the game. Excellent work!
The desesperation! the anxiety! The music and overall audio with the clean minimal pixelart really caught me. I could became an outstanding roguelite <3 Excellent job!
Great graphics! It feels like a finished game. Had trouble putting some decorations though. Lovely work
glowstick.png
Super fun game! Took a while to get used to the bouncing but after some restarts that glowstick really got some acrobatic angles. Almost got gold, so close! Excellent work
Great game! So much complexity done in so little time. The mechanics are appealing even to those who are not willing to read big texts, delivering them by bits of information is a great way! Gets messy once you got enought postits but that's the way real crimes are solved. Great work!
Cool game! Keeping up with the two mechanics was challenging. Couldn't got much farther during the third patern. The graphics are amazing and the musicis well thought helping with the rythm. Excellent work
ABYSNOUT.png
It's amazing that this was made just in 3 days. Interesting mechanics, brutal graphics, atmospheric music. It's really a solid base for a full lenght adventure I wouldn't miss for anything. I'll follow your work from now on waiting for it. 5/5 on everything. This game gonna be one of the top ones for sure.
EDIT: Now I know why I recieved a notification for this game! I also loved you game on LD46 and stared following you. Keep up the superb work!
Cool game! I liked the midi-style music... reminded me of Ultima Underworl. The concept is really cool and the perception of the boats is really well done. A little help with the rudder would be nice. Excellent work!
The bear winked atr me! I'm amazed with the 3D models and the title graphic. Looks so polished for such little time. On the third stage just 1 bully tried to hit me and the rest only kept looking one way. Nice concept and looks gorgeous. Congratulations!
rooted.png
Great game! Left me wanting for more stages. At first I wak like "this is easy. where's the challenge?" And then I was constantly restarting the stage asking me where I should have turned left. Short, but the level design is really well thought. Congratulations!
digger.png
Nice action puzzle game! Had to play preety fast to gather some points. At first I didn't saw the applealing but just commiting to get score led me challenge my reflexes. Fun and original twist to the puzzle genre.
Great game! The graphics are awesome and overall the game gave me a feeling of "Conan" for the NES. The background parallax gave the illusion of a more frantic gameplay and the music is awesome. The static attack seems to be an issue and some respawns feel unfair as it put you just a second before dying when there's a long horizontal platform. The two player option is a great addon! Congratulations!
COOL GAME MAN! Reminded me of that 60's movie "Fantastic voyage". Metroid Prime vibes all around. Really immersive ambience. Loved the laser harpoon. Got stuck on the appendix apparently. Excellent work!
Great entry man! Big tetris fan here. The way the mechanics are blended to go down is genius. Loved the tune also! So catchy! A very original game, gave you great rating. I'm sure you'll get a really nice result at the end of the jam. Congratulations!
Nice visual novel. I only wanted Madeline to be happy. Everything was fine till the gunshots started. Such action!
Psychedelic man! That was a deep into the mind experience. Couldn't figure out how to escape the loop. The story is confusing but I suppose it develops once you get some answers right. A couple of things confused me: When there are two options and both are labeled the same, they do different stuff?. And when th background turns white am I going upwards? Tons of originality. It's mysterious in a lot of ways. Nice work!
@para-no thanks for the positive comment! The trippiness was a side effect and the music took a couple of hours from coding. I'm glad it was worth it. Had lots of fun with your game! leaved a comment there
@konect Thanks for the respects. Equally to your game. Very original idea.
@xcvzxc Jaja, it happened to some friends too. I'm thinking on making them more adorable on some newer version. Your goosebumps comment gave me goosebumps. So glad that you liked that:) LOVED YOUR GAME! Had tons of fun! I'm keeping track of your work from now on. Anyone who is reading this PLEASE try xcvzxc's game!
@axelrinaldo You should try the postjam fixes I did, just some little fixes to the hitboxes, difficulty progression and make it bigger con phone. Cool sub game!
@pvp Thanks for the comment, one way to be sure about when tou're gonna get hurt is when the layer isn't covered by the darkness/gas/cloud/fire. Congrats with the delivery game, got to the 3rd package
To anyone who would like to test the slight fixes I made: https://macdoom.itch.io/hell-diver-post-compo Thanks for the good vibes and good luck!
@karlipoppins Those optical side effects may need a warning. It happens after playing a while. Thanks for the comment! Had a lot of fun playing your game also. *Almost* got gold medal
@kevin-meissner Maybe you're playing original entry mobile version? I recommend you to try the post-compo fixes, one of them is bigger mobile resolution: https://macdoom.itch.io/hell-diver-post-compo. Fun game! got to the 6th floor.
@zeha Thanks! I did wat I coul with the time given. Future version will havea big remake on that area :) Loved your game. Simple and fun!
@keithswanger Thnks! Trippyness was a side effect from the cave coding. Super interesting your game. Hitted me right in the pocket.
@jeffez The ghost/soul/tornado muted to a happy/angel/bean. It'll be great to have feedback on that new sprite. About the outer hitbox depth: the colored layers were supposed to help but I'm considering a Zaxxon like meter. I'm open to suggestions  Thnks for your comment! Nice work with the spelunky game!
@xcvzxc Effectively I lowered a lot the difficulty to the Hell zone, changed the soul sprite and corrected a bug that made a demon strike at the beggining in the post-compo version. I assure you the game is completely beatable and with an ugly yet revealing surprise at the end!
@kirbloid Nice comment! It's a big deal to me the integration of the different aspects of the game. I'm glad you liked it. I see you care a lot too! Your game has great atmosphere and sure is deep in various layers. Congratulations!
@hpa97 The sensitivity was tried various times to get an average. I suggest little taps if you're playing on phone. With a keyboard is easier. You're absolutely right about the obstacle delay! Corrected on the post-compo version.
@brigadeirim Thanks! Cool game also!
@webox Thanks for the compliments! If you're playing with touch controls try with little taps. Boobieplants leave more space than it could seem. Congrats for you original puzzle root game. *Had* to play it to the end. Great level design.
@Bamallama Tilt controls is going on the way... if I make it work right of course. Thanks for the suggestion. A friend of mine told me the same some hours ago. Nice visual novel! It seems I make *terrible* decisions
@oc1d The concept came right away after reading the theme. That made me participate and commit my weekend solely for the jam. Great graphics upgrades are planned for the future. COOL GAME MAN! Looks superb and laser harpoons are always welcome!
@axeltherabbit There it is an end just a little further in the Hell zone near the 200s. Thnks for the art style comment, eventually I'l take the necessary time to work them as they should. Cool game! Paper graphics are cool.
@Fer9001 Thanks for the compliments! Loved you game too. I'm keeping it with my fine selection ;)
@cheesepencil Was aiming for nightmare fuel! Thnx! Alighieri is a great influence. Jeskola Buzz is my weapon of choice when making music. Fun game too! I LOLed with the voice acting
@thedarkmagi The post-compo have cuter bonus sprites but at this point I'm considering green glowing orbs with angelical sounds. Nice action puzzle game! Got 270!
@meenakshi Thanks! One of my main purposes is to make a game entirely and solely focused on the theme from any given aspect :) Loved yout game! Left me relaxed and zen.
@paroxysmal Thanks! Technically speaking it's still third person but with "birdview" or XZY angle. Congratulations on your metroidvania, got 33 coins
@ardorugus Sorry for the late response. Thanks for your comment! I really don't know if it has long term effects. Hopefully not XD. Psychedelic experience your game!
@fueelin JAJA, it doesn't say "dad", is like an "ayayay" (I'm from Chile) but I deformed the audio to make it more ambiguous. Couldn't play your game :( some kind of runtime error appeared
@filgru Thanks for the feedback. The layers hit you till the end but it's a great upgrade adding a non colliding layer before it disappears. Thanks for the comment. Great graphics and music in your game! so much polish!
@ArBe Thanks for noticing! I thought that pixel interpolation was off. Already corrected on the post-compo version for your visual pleasure (And maybe get half star up for it).
@ryjcio That was a surprise for me too! Great artwork in your game!
@zubspace Thanks for all those flowers! You were really close to finish it that it's near the 230 on the post-compo. Excellent work on your entry, the controls felt intuitive and the music is so catchy!
@GaryS Thanks for the comments! A lot of balancing is going to be done once the jam is over. I felt it would be somewhat unfair to make so many changes during the contest. Congrats on your game, beautiful graphics!
@james-macgill I'm super glad you liked the assets and the concept. As a single developer its hard to give the proper time to each game aspect. I loved your game! So complex and well executed!
@srknvrnbskrt Effectively we made similar games! If I were more a 3D kind of guy I definitively have made the same as you. Loved the ragdoll psysics and the tune.
@dokthar Didn't knew about Das Uberlieben, had to look it up and WOW! It's really very similar! To continue with my game I can no longer not acknowledge this one. Congrats on your game, superspeed!
@joe40001 Thanks for the comment. I found that the best way to avoid that obstacle is going on the space 45° from the tip. Great puzzle game of yours. Super clever level design!
asteroiddisaster.png
WHOOOOAAAH!! What a BLAST! Loved everything! The music is superb, the action is frenetic, the concept is cool, nice graphics and an ending! 5/5 man, hats off! I'm keeping the exe and following your work. Amazing!
Jinx! Effectively we made similar games! Loved the ragdoll physics, that's the kind of falling down control I was looking for. Great music and funny backstory. Congratulations!
Loved the grapple mechanics and the light for going down but not up. Well thought! Super fun
Brilliant game! I've been digging for almost an hour! Thought there was a bottom but it seems it goes forever. So addicting! There's something about ant games that I've always loved (Real ants, not those 3d animated movies) 5/5 stars except from audio.
ants.png
There's something so satisfying about a single ant making the way to the army and rescuing those poor drowning pixels. Brilliant work!
Great game man! The painting tool to guide the miners is so intuitive, and putting the item selection on 123 on the keyboard just felt logical. Congratulations on the tune, just wished for the next levels to have their own theme. Randomizing the levels is also a radical good choice for replay value. Excellent work man!
Is like Super Hexagon but relaxing. Nice non-euclidean precition game. Got 9 as max... thought I got the rythm but it gets tricky. Fun game!
HAHA! The "OH YEAH" is hilarious. Great humor and the simple graphics fits perfectly with the sound and game's mood. Reminded me of the early Beavis and Butthead mini-games. Great work!
Great graphics and music. Why the audio is opt out? Was going to give 5 stars for the catchy tune. Fun game. Rather difficult to play on a laptop but at the third try I was already taking thos loose screws. Great entry!
Great concept. You really got the deep concept to the deepest levels. I like how it's story and action driven at the same time. The graphics are gloomy and the music accompanies the mood perfectly. It took me a couple of tryings before getting the syncing right. Excellent work!
Great game! This is one I'm keeping! Loved the graphics/audio, brought me to atari times: Jumpman Jr and keypers capers. The tune sounds like wrecking crew gor NES... nice! Using the hide button in the same hand that moves the character is awkward. Maybe the up arrow would be helpful. Excellent work!
Cool graphics! And the sound really gave me that metallic feeling. The red light bombs are somewhat punishing. Great work!
Died on my way to the hospital. I like how reallistic is about liquor helping me with my distress. Also my financial situation vs healthcare prices are a critical sociological critic. The mechanics are very well thought and the atmosphere is really appropiate for the game's feel. Superb mood. Also the character generation remined me of ultima games. Very interesting approach to a game! Good work!
Nice game! Always loved the sub-games, from operation fox on the Atari 2600. Cool poly sea creatures. Got to the boxes on the bottom of the sea and went even lower than the sea floor. Would love to see this more developed. Excellent work
Cool game! Liked the cockroaches!
HAHA! The stamped made me LOL. Cool and super original game! Those mechanics can really be further developed into a lot of interesting things. Loved the pixel sprites and the music fits really well. Congratulations! I'll keep an eye for this development
Greats mechanichs! Got stuck at the green falling blocks. There seems to be a problem with the music on the html5 version. Suddenly bursted really loud at the middle of the game. Lots of fun and cute character!
Nice metroidvania! Got to see the golden bone but the spikey room got me every time. Loved the graphics!
Innovative and cool graphics! I liked specially the cat-paw cursor. Really tough game. Inverting the mouse's y axis was really confusing for me. I think you were trying to emulate a plane's stick but when looking down it's somewhat confusing. Fun game either way. Nice work!
Woah! So much complexityin so little time! Gave me a feeling of Among Us vs FTL. Took me a couple of designs to realise that the needed rooms were anounced in red at the dive button. So difficult to get good photos, missed some controls to the camera or at least a zoom option. Really would like to play a more developed version even though I couldn't get enough money to afford a submarine htat let me go to other places. Excellent work! Lots of ambition done well
para-no.png
Cool game!I liked the perspective from the mouse height. Found a trick to gain more seconds hiding in the crate at the corner before making the run. Those rat-traps kept me on my toes. Hte camera movement could be a less sensitive but that didn't kept me from enyoing your game. Congratulations!
Very original and simple game. Loved how the graphics and the audio complemented the overall aesthetics. At first didn't understand how changing orbits would save me from some asteroids but it can really be done. LOLed when a satellite went "pftpftpft" besides my ship. Excellent work!
Nice concept! Got stuck at the raden card, didn't know what to do. Had fun playing the first level, kept me longing for more. Good work!
Fun game. Took some tries to get the driving feel. Had lots of fun playin it. Loved the audio details. Good JOb!
Loved paperboy as a kid. Nice adaptation, loved the tune and the voiceacting. Good job!
Super interesting approach of the theme. Using the AI as NPCs is really new and seeing it applied to the jam really surprised me! Nice job! Nice audio-artwork too.
HAHA!Struggled with the controls, and just when I thought I got it, BAM! Missles. Couldn't pass the second stage. Had a good time playing it, and the saturated audio mixed well with the graphic style. Those missles will haunt my nightmares.
Nice pizza-cat game. I would recommend you a softer pixelart pallette as the textures are so harsh. Only delivered 4 pizzas. Good job!
santaskis.png
HAHA! Fun game! When I got the hang of it couldn't stop making flips! Gonna keep the link for the holidays season. Good job!
Original!
@bernhard Thanks for the comment! Go fast in straight lines and turn slow and you'll be ok. I recommend to plag it on a cellphone though. Good tip con the shift+right click. Going to check your game as soon as I can =O)
@jk5000 One thing I wanted to add is different difficulties being this one "normal" as when you get practice it gets pretty easy. Stay in touch for post-jam updates on the itch.io link. Thanks for your review. I'll get to your game as soon as I can.
@gonzo13 Thanks for playing my game! Indeed feels like a prototype, had a lot of side ideas which I struggled to keep to myself in order to finish within time. But fixes are already being applied and a future develop of some of thos ideas on the inkwell. Had lots of fun delivering vodka on you game!
@deadbydeath Thanks for playing my game! I absolutely understand the "finger on the screen problem". As I only got 48 hours to make the game I decided to use them on other aspects of the game. A virtual joystick is definitely on my homework for the next game update after the jam. Had a fun time with your pizza kittens!
@lcstark Thenks for your comment! Aimed to "Atari vibe" so I'm really glad with you feeling it. The "look ahead camera" is another fix I plan to do after the jam as my math didn't portrait what i had exactly in mind but considered it was "close enough" for sharing that focus with other aspects. Loved the bluepinty clean aesthetic of your game!
@tosmaster Thanks for your comment! Definitely the "auto stop" is overpowered. Just slowing down really makes you invincible, but the urge to go fast is the only real enemy. Thinking in adding a little "momentum" to the car on a future update. Loved your thruster games. I love thruster games :)
@darchankaen Glad that you liked it. Congratulations on your RPG, very creative approach to the theme!
@stuembi Happy thet you had fun! Some "momentum" mechanics to be added once the jam is over. Loved the graphics of your frog game!
@arsher Thanks for the comment! Definitely the camera needs some work. My math couldn't portrait exactly what I had in mind. In theory I could use the keyboard as a MIDI controller but is from the 90´s and couldn't find the right cable yet. Big screen version and different maps to be added after the jam ends. Loved your penguin game, so natural to know what to do.
@random-ideation-studios So glad you had fun! PLayed your robot delivery game as far as I could. Tough platfomer!
@magus77 Thanks! For the time being, a screenshot of the score is the only way. Hope to learn how to make an online highscore. Liked the ambience of your cooking game!
@teddyreid Just saw a Driven gameplay and WHOAH! the car sets on fire and turn itself in some kind of meteor! Loved your game! The pixelart with that shader looks awesome. Nice job!
@brigart Thanks! Your game give me Oregon trail vibes. Awesome graphics!
Liked the blueprint aesthetics and the trucks momentum. Tried to do something similar with mine but lacked of time. The feeling was so clean I felt refreshed after playing it. Nice game!
Excellent jam entry! Loved the lowpoly graphics and the cute penguins. Awesome music too! Is overall a fun and original game. Good job!
Fun game. Took some tries to get the driving feel. Had lots of fun playin it. Loved the audio details and the humor. Good Job!
Awesome pixelart and color pallette! Got really difficult on stage 2. Congratulations on making it look so polished in such little time. Good job!
Always loved thruster games :) Loled when ejecting cargo. Took a while to get to the numbered cargo (the real ones). Had fun plying it. Good job!
Got super stucked in one screen. Lots of references! Shovel knight, megaman and b*ng nes music. Fun game!
Liked the audio a lot, too bad is an opt out. Fun story and neat graphics. It would have been nice to show some form of defeating the baddies. Them just dissappearing after pressing E lacks something. Fun game!
Nice graphics! Loved Kiki's delivery service. Missed a blue circle and the game crashed. Had fun!
So much story done in such little time. Liked the approach to the theme. Good job!
G.O.T.Y !! You really managed to apply this dare's theme geniously! Both genres merged in a way that not only benefits each other but also auto regulate dificulty based on player's strategy. It all comes together like a high cuisine delicatessen. Is amazing much much you've done in one weekend. Great team you got there! I suppose you do this for a living. If not, you should. Hats off! 5/5
It crashed :( I was so exited about an ASCII game in a CMD window. Please fix this! My curiosity is exploding!
I unzipped it and when running the exe appears the CMD black window with an uncontrolled exception. "System.ArgumentOutOfRanfeException" "Name of the parameter: height" The actual value is 47 and it says that the maximum should be 46. Here's a screenshot, my computer is in spanish but it says to keep in mind that this value depends on the screen resolution and the font of the console. I'm running it on a Dell Inspiron 15 with Windows 10.
ASCIIcrash.png
I hope you can find a way to work it and this problem is not something too generic for the rest. If there's anything else I can do to help you just send me a message ;) GOOD LUCK!
It's crashing whrm you get to the hole ubove the flamingo. Looked very interesting.
You we're right. Didn't got well that "e" would become the "enter" for the rest of the game. Awesome graphics and portraits! Nice audio and good reference to ELP <3 It was fun although the different levels we're similar except for the graphics. It's good what you have but it has a feeling of uncompleteness. Good work!
Super cool game! The drifting mechanics were a bit hard to get but then it's really exciting! Thw tower defense part was confusing. It was hard to tell wich one was being attacked, just saw the destroyed ones. Excellent gameplay!
Come and try mine! https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/tactical-hydra
Noice graphics! Sensing a strong Isaac influence. The changing sides of the gun when you look the other sides makes it uncomfortable to shoot enemies that are above or below. Indeed a top down mouse shooter randomly generated game isn't a new thing or combination of genres but the game itself is fun and super cool.
Super cool game! The sense of hyperspeed future racingis frenetic and addictive. Some collisions are a little bugged. Looks great, feels great and the combination of genres works perfectly. Is a little hard to know well where's the road going in build mode although. Thanks for creating this game !
Patapon was the BEST! There should be more patapon-like games! didn't get how to fight. Frafted some axes and "things" but the laserwolfis feels impasable. Really fun game!
Interesting crimescene! The combination of genres work preety well but I feel the graphics didn't helped keeping the horror atmosphere. Also the text window while interviewing suspects held more information than it could show it clearly. Jeep on the good job!
Looks amazing! The fishing part looked a bit simplistic but is enough for its purpose. Loved that relaxing mood although the turns felt too loose and slow sometimes. Excellent work!
This is going really well! It's hard to get such a complex concept just in a weekend but the try and effort are worth it! The concept is really cool and with enough time this could become a genuine gender for the crafting niche. Congratulations!
Come and try mine! https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/tactical-hydra
Excellent entry! The two genres were ingeniously merged! The graphics matched that vintage arcade feeling of the gameplay. With more polish it could become a modern classic. Congratulations!
Thanks for creating this game! I laughed for a long time writing shenanigans! LOL!
Couldn't control the player with the keyboard. It just kept walking right and the direction of the shoots depended on wich side I positioned the mouse. Couldn't get past level 2 :(
Awesome game! I really liked the spacey atmosphere and the mechanics works perfectly. There are some issues... some races the camera goes to the finish line between turns and if I program too much moves before excecuting them a memory error shows up. Just details considering the time given. If there had been some galactic music it could be a 5/5, just a star less in audio as the FX were appropriate. Congratulations!
Come and try mine! https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/tactical-hydra
I Really loooved that old school rpg look. And the game is so funny! Gave that feeling between ultima underworld and Strife. Nice atmospheres and hilarious sound FX! Keep on this incredible work! 5/5
Cool combination of genres! The theme was well implemented and the movement/shooting mechanics felt right. Some difficulty progression would be nice. Adding colors and adjusting ball falling speed would really help. It was a little frustrating not getting a needed color or being able to find what to do with a solitaire ball while the rest were rapidly approaching. Graphics could have been more consistent. Solid entry!
Come and try mine! https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/tactical-hydra
Loved the graphics/audio! Super fun intro! Didn't got well the blocking part. I supose the "IIIIIIAH" announces an incoming attack. But haven't grip it yet. Good work!
A combination never seen before! Seems only one category is avaiable: strange laws. So I'll leave out the quality of the questions. I'm a big new retro wave fan so your game draw my attention immediately. The aesthetics work perfectly.
Brutal game! 5/5 I'll keep in touch for updates!
Cool game! Exhausting thou. I really tiring to keep looking for the right arrows keeping the shooting partconstant. Some kind of preogression visualizer appart of the puzzle would be much appreciated! Maybe easier modes could include smaller puzzles than only different puzzle skins. I really liked the audio, unfortunately it's opted-out.
Very original idea. Thanks for creating this game!
Cool game, cool concept, cool theme, cool graphics, AWESOME music! Excellent idea adding the power gauge. Considering the submit version 5/5. Keep on!
Nice entry! But I wasn't sure what to do or which genres were you combining. Cool experimental graphics. Felt like some kind of "Quarentine" in ps1.
Nice graphics and animations! Not really sure what items can be combined, Just trying different things. Microwave is lethal. Super fun entry!
Cool game. Drawing one's monster is super fun. The mix of games was well implemented but it left me hungry for more levels. I was really eager to enter that cave. Good work!
Genius Game! Great combination of elements and is challenging and super fun. Cool graphics and matching audio with a catchy yume. A genre by itself! Congratulations! 5/5
Nice racing game! Preety dificult gameplay and wacky obstacles! I didn't liked the audio. There were just a few sound fx and the jumping sound wasa really high.
Also someting happened to my car with the bouncing mushroom:
jumpingcables.png
Nice entry!
Superb submission! Loved the aesthetics and the music goes along perfectly! The sooting and the golf combines really well giving all the action of FPS to golf. Nice concept behind the mechanics. It's easy for the ball to bounce and get off-bounds so a little less power gauge could come on handy. Loved this game =O)! 5/5
The movement of the cows are so random that is painful to herd them to the other side. The pico-8 graphics works well and the audio complements it: super fine. The idea is not bad but I'm not sure wich genres are mixed here but is far from relaxing. I think you should rethink the game mechanics to enable the players the option of making an strategy. Keep working keeping a focus on user experience.
Great game! It combines the genres in a very practical way! Superb atmosphere. Congratulations!
Congratulations! You really managed to combine 2 extremely different game genres and get it work! The graphics are precise and the audio gives a superb atmosphere. Is a little bit frustrating trying to get one word right, some aiding tool for that purpose would be appreciated. Anyway the theme was so well implemented that boosts any cons I can find. Excellent entry! 5/5
Couldn't get the latest version to run. Keyboard inputs just let me go into the intructions and back to the title but 0..9 and enter didn't respond. For the 1.0 version: Cool game! Both genres are there but didn't felt like the merging of the two. The challenge is to be alert and prepared to switch to the other gameplay. Some colors in the tetris part are hard to see, the lighter ones specially. Really fun entry! Thanks for creating this game!
Cool Game! It remined me of "The Haunting" for Sega Genesis. The concept is super cool. The scaring techniques wasn't very clear. A predictable behaviour for the victims would really boost up an strategy side. Keep om the good work!
Come and try mine. It's also turn based =O) https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/tactical-hydra
WOAH! That was amazing! Felt like an interactive movie scene. Really well done! I'm impressed the quality you achived with so little time. Congratulations! 5/5
Nice game! The concept is very interesting. Some polish to the controls would be great, the kart feelt slipery sometimes. I really liked the music. Congratulations!
Come and try mine! https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/tactical-hydra
AWESOME GAME!! It looks so retro but it mechanics are so fresh! As a roguelikefan-fan i loooved the ascii graphics. Atari sounds and witty dialogue. I feel its the Atari's "adventure" spiritual successor. If anything could be enhaced its the non xbox controller input and to make each enemy letter more like the monster it represents. Coolest game ever!
Love anything with ASCII. The world is very well designed as the metroidvania element is present and not to much backtracking is necessary. Although I love ASCII it could have been more use of this element in the visualization. Excellent map!
Fantastic game! The concept is ultra original and the idea is well implemented. Although some resource harvesting utilities would come in super handy when running out of an specific material. Super cool entry!
HAHAHA OFF CHARTS!! Hilarious game! What a concept! Graphics could hace been a little more polished although I believe is part of the weird sense of humor. Audio was perfectly matched with the theme. Games as these should be considered art pieces.
Really good game! took me back in time when I played micromachines in DOS with my friends! Adequate graphics, cool audio, fun race. The fishing part is effective yet a little bit simplistic. Giving it just a bit more depth would make it very interesting. Congratulations!
It's immensly retro-innovative this concept. Could've been the bomb at email apogee. The story is fun and well narrated but all the mail-choice-page routine is more work for the user than practical for it's purpose. It's a really interesting experiment
The graphics are great but they look so little it's hard to appreciate them. The contrast of genres isn't evident as I think it should be more videogame mechanics than storytelling. Good puzzles! Congratulations!
Clever combination! Although the roguelike elements don't get much further than the graphics and the health elements its a fun result. I think that more balancing between the pool and the adventure genres would enhance the overall experience. Good work!
Nice game! As a roguelike fan I don't see that element here. But as a card / shooter game is great! I liked how the game lets you select the next move and form a strategy from there. Good work!
Come and try mine! https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/tactical-hydra
HAHAHA! Had a blast playing your game! Played several timed and realised that going at the top of the screen is a sure win.
tumblenaut.png
I think that the genres mixed here are lander / racing. Super fun mechanics and great music. I think that the *thump* noise could have been other more aligned with the overall aesthetics. Original and fun! Thanks for creating this piece!
HAHA! That monster mask almost killed me for real! Loved the graphics and the audio. Congratulations on creating a really unique game! Just adding a title screen and the posible inputs would enhance the experience. Innovation award granted. Congratulations!
Come and try mine! https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/tactical-hydra
Super well polished game! Looks awesome and the music sounds great! I only missed another element of the cooking besides the cool graphics. Awesome job!
Super Wacky! Anyway, more than 2 genres feels like 2 thematics combined. It doesnt fall to far from a pirate ship battle simulator. The graphics looks great! I missed a soundtrack... western-pirate is sure a hard combination to nail but could be EPIC! Nice work!
I'm Shocked! Your game uses the same mechanics that I imagined to create mine! But you took it much more further with the physics and visualisation. The thrusting system is beautifully carried out and the boundraries maintain the challenging level tough enough to think it carefully. Talking in an extremely detailed level I think that the camera control should be more manageable to apreciate the space massacre. This is the base of something much more bigger. I bow to you 5/5
COOL game man! Some things I think you could upgrade: - Various generated levels doesn't feel so different, a couple of more elements could increase variability. - A background would mend a sense of emptiness when looking at the back.
A huge pro is the satisfying sound that skeletons do while hitted by the car, I LOLed! Congratulations!
Solid entry! Too bad audio is an opt-out, I really liked it! The theme was well implemented and the game was simple enough to get it at once. Some keyboard support would be nice to enhance playing flow. I suppose that is easily corrected on touch screens. Superb work!
Come and try mine! https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/tactical-hydra
Loved every aspect of the game! So beautiful, so cool, so much action, the way the puzzle rooms go increasing in complexity. Such a simple resolution for so many diferent elements. Hats off! 5/5
Great game! I loved the graphics, the audio and the game feels overall. I wish there where some way to play it only with the keyboard. I don't know why exactly, maybe because the retro looks. I really think this could become a bigger game with a nice plot. Congratulations! Super strong entry!
Come and try mine! https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/tactical-hydra
HAHAHA! Had to play it by myself while trying not to laugh at the instructions. Really cool game. It's quite a refreshing experience. Nice Postmodern approach!
It's really difficult loosing your money between games. The roguelike elements can be more notorious. Fun to play but with a little more work it could become a gem!
Super cool graphics and audio. The combination of the genres was fusioned in a very practical way. The only thing is that doesn't seem so incompatible as clicking for harvesting resources is something common but the game is great. Nice work!
Nice try. It's hard to get a complete game in such short time! I believe it's more an attempt to make a game than a try to get this jam's theme but the effort is a reward itself. I agree about the limited attack to the sides. There are some ghosts that simply can't be beaten cause it's location. Congratulations on participating and giving it a shot!
HAHA! Cool game man! I really liked the introduction you made for it in this page. Putting it inside the game would be a wise idea. The game looks cool and wacky, it was funny to play it. The driving mechanics could be more "car-ish", It felt like a vertical shooter a car and trees. Keep on the good work!
Super wacky game! Congratulations on creating it just on a tablet!
Fun game! Darth tater is really hard! Some things I think you can fix: - Instructions are difficult to read over the gridded floor. - Real time enemy bullets at turn based player movement feels weeeird... but fresh - Burger Flipper doesn't have a real use - There should be more levels and enemies before Darth Tater
Pretty fun! Graphics and diferent enemies can be enhaced. Keep the good work!
So Wacky!! The puzzle element is really fresh, timing, and planning. "Retry" and "quit to menu" didn't worked for me. The harvesting element has a lot of potential! Congratulations. Really fun
It's an interesting concept. It's a bit difficult to tell wich item is which at first. I liked the voices included. Player movement could need some polish. Sideways movement felt random. The genres mix was well implemented. Good work!
Come and try mine! https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/tactical-hydra
I really appreciate your honest graphics. So many games out there with flashy downloaded meshes don't contribute to the videogame industry alone. Picking the rules of an ageless game and efficiently mix it is a great deal. A little more care in the audio would enhace the experience. That loop can get dull after a while. Anyway excellent entry! Congratulations
The rythm part was challenging and well adjusted to the kickass audio. Seems that the waiting section doesn't add a gameplay element and the console rpg system could have more rocking options. It feels like the base mechanics to a much bigger game. Keep on!
Interesting idea. These really are incompatible genres. The lack of interaction privates the "game" part anyway. Excellent experiment but i won't be waiting 24 hours LOL. Congratulations on making something super original!
Really good job! It looks great and the chess theme was beautifully developed. Rougelikeness was in a realtime-roguelite way, more like a topdown adventure game than a roguelike but that's not a rating category. Congratulations!
Nice roguelite. I specially liked the glowing efect and the jumping particles. Dungeon generation is nice for replayability. There were some collision issues on thin tiles. The jumping as a weapon is innovative but I think you could push it a little bit further and deepen into the jumpong mechanics. Good work!
Superb entry! I loved every aspect of the game! The gameplay is really well thought and the level design let the user dive in the mechanics nicely. Awesome graphics! 5/5
Awesome Art! You really got an atmosphere going on here. Nice scripting there. Just amazing work for just some hours.
Congratulations!
Come and try mine! https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/tactical-hydra
Awesome mood and graphics! Gameplay feels good also. The genres aren't incompatible at all and some difficulty progression would be nice. Cool experience!
Great low poly graphics. Fun mood. The staying awake minigame felt a little apart from the rest of the game. The frenetic drivers are funny but it makes the gameplay fell a bit unfair as sometimes there's no way to avoid a crash. Keep on!
Super wacky game! Definitely it's an original game. A few sound fx and relevant words to the situatuion would enhance the experience. Good work!
Looks super nice but personally I'm expecting videogame genres mixed in this jam. Good and fun shooting game although.
WOAH! Golf meets Hotline Miami! Loved your game, was really fun, challenging and felt like the mechanics were really well thougt. The pressure of zombie apocalypse really boosts your swing! All elements were super consistent with the proposal. It feels like it can become a game genre by itself. Awesome work! 5/5
Come and try mine! https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/tactical-hydra
Witty combination! It really innovates the date sims. This could become a genre by itself!
Impressive approach of the jams theme! I really liked that you didn't settle with just one incompatible mix. Giving some rating wouldn't hurt, don't you agree?
Come and try my game! https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/tactical-hydra
Good graphics. But the controls were unresponsive and there were no innovative elements. It's extremely generic and doesn't match the jam theme. Looks great but I'll appreciate a more original work
Nice combination here! Although I would find a way to merge the 2D and 3D parts. They feel almost as 2 games appart. Awesome job for 48 hours. Congratulations!
Super cool game! It definitely needs that the player knows something about logic gates. For further versions a sensible tutorial will be a must to become reachable for all gamers. A couple of more levels would have been amazing. Also the fact that the puzzle don't have to be 100% completed, just to make work the necessary needs to the ocation granted that feeling of "hackery" so satisfyng. Destroying your enemy with a fast repaired ship is really rewarding. Congratulations!
Cool game! I don't know what you got against unicorn but it felt great killing some of them. One thing I would change would be a penalty for missing or some kind of reloading. Once I realized this I just became a clicking machine gun and doubled my score!
unicornbloodhiscr.png
It didn't looked like an entry to this LD but it's a really fun mini-game by itself. Congratulations!
HAHAHA! Blood splatters! Poor Jang have a much more rougher job than Jin's. Great attemp to mix two incompatible concepts but it didn't felt like 2 incompatible genres. Awesome graphics and adequate audio contribute to an oldschool atmosphere. Great job!
Come and try mine! https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/tactical-hydra
Can't get over the start screen. I press enter focused on the window and nothing happens, just the text blinking. I'm using Chrome on windows 10. Tried several times
Fun game! Once you add more chores it will get a lot better. Also is really hard to do something beyond the captains sight. It looks great and I', sure it can become a fun and challenging full game! Congratulations!
Cool entry! didn't get which game genres are combined but the game itself looks awesome! Music sounds incredible! Loved how the idle animation comes with it's own OST. Main character animation outstands also. Congratulations!
SUPER FUN!! I had a blast playing your game, congratulations! A few things that called my attention: - Tank bullets make curves. That felt weird - Being an actual golf hole made me try to hit it several times until I noticed there was no points for it. Or there's an use for it that I didn't get? - Power gauge is the same for long and short shots. I would have expected a nearer marker for shorter shots.
Excellent work!!
Nice first try although somewhat short. There's so much to exploit here but this way you can get notion of how much you can do with certain time given. Keep on!
Nice combination. Fun script. Trap letters are very hard to notice once you gain a typing rythm.
So much elements involved! I mean that in a positive way. You really managed to take multitasking to the next level! At first I thought that the player was a Frying pan. Good work combining more than 2 genres in a logical way... I'd say that there's 4 genres involved: Zombie survival, cooking, rythm and trading. Outstanding!
Super ingenious combination! Also super hard from the beginning if you dont know the keyboard by heart. The idea was well implemented but I think that if one of the main features is the melody, it should have been more elaborated. The lack of a background music to the melody is really needed here. Nice work!
Cool Stuff man! Nice low poly graphics, kick ass music, great feeling of speed. And the galloping enter added a lot of action. A purpose for all these would be great. An incredible world of rocket horses is ahead!
I liked the concept of being alert to the cards and prepare a strategy with the options I had but sometimes it felt a bit unfair when a needed card didn't appear after various attemps. Maybe adding a form to "hold" some cards for later use would come in handy. Nice work!
Ultra cool concept! The idea of the game is really interesting! Picking up guns were a bit difficult and the AI is hard to predict to put an strategy together. With a little more polish it can become a new sport category. There are just not enough dodgeball games out there. Congratulations!
Come and try mine! https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/tactical-hydra
Big Roguelike/ASCII fan here! It's amazing how these two genres mix so well. Audio was just perfect matching how much sounded that generation of rogues. You should release it on RogueBasin! Super addictive gameplay! Congratulations!
Cool game! It's a really neat idea, some tightening to the controls would be nice, it feels a bit slippery. The constant change of variables keeps one alert of the characters capabilities. Nice work!
Fun combination of elements. The vision restriction is well done but the ingredients handling was a little difficult to realise how it works. Once I fogured out how it worked was easy to win. Make more levels!
Congratulations on the game design. It really combines the 2 genres pretty well... the grapbics are awesome and you managed to get a progression and personality of each snake. Couldnt find any errors. Congratulations!
HAHAHA!! Cool game! Nice graphicsm cool audio, wacky combination of minigames to get the fish done! It was super fun to play. I agree with other comments about the baseball part, it was really hard to pull off! Anyway, AWESOME GAME! 5/5
Come and try my game! https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/tactical-hydra
Cute Game! The theme was really well implemented! The only thing I could recommend you to enhance it is to exclude the parts of the dress that are already on Cinderella and in good shape. That way the player must form a strategy. Just putting several times the dress parts that added the most points led me to an easy (but uncompleted dress) win. Congratulations! There's much future in this poriginal combination. Haven't seen anything like this.
Come and try mine! https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/tactical-hydra
Great low poly graphics. It's look cute but a more strong cooking element was expected. Fun submission!
Very good looking game. Is very niche as only game programmers can understand the technicisms and the logic behind the game. I would have liked a more graphical than numerical depict of the progression and results of the game to feel the development completeness. Cool work!
Super cool genres combination! It really feels good and combines really well the different mechanics. Nice mood and dark story. Graphics could have been more carefully designed. Congratulations!
Come and try my game! https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/tactical-hydra
Good job! It looks very well. Some things I think that you could improve: - The menu graphics that contrast with the looks of the gameplay. - The music volume is too low compared with the sound effects. - Some context about why you are escaping the forcefield would give more purpose to escape. Keep on!
Could't play it as I don't own an Xbox controller. There is an alternative way?
Thanks for adding mouse and keyboard support to the game! I liked very much the graphics and the horror theme. The movement of the character needs tightening, it feels like he slips constantly. Excellent work!
Nice game! Good asimov's reference too. The game looks great but i have trouble getting what differente machines do. Found one that gives 300 at cubes costs. I suppose those cubes are the energy AHA! I had to return right now and figured out the generator replenish the energy! But the robot got behind another structure and I can't select it again. There are some issues due to the complexity of the game. With some polish and instructions would enhance the experience. Overall excellent game!
Plyed it to the end! Very innovative concept. The most difficult part was guessing how the menu worked! Big ASCII fan! Music was relaxing and sound fx appropriate to the atmosphere. Excellent work!
Funny game! The small talk options compatibility is very well implemented! Funny results and hilarious sprites. A little more polish with the graphics would enhace the experience. Looks like the dating sims are very popular these deys. Keep on!
Super cool concept merging day and night! However more than 2 genres it felt like two dimensions, each one being the movement mechanic. The game is awesome but I think it doesn't match the jam's theme so well. Awesome game anyway!
LOL Great game! It was super fun to play. It takes a while to get the grip of the swimming. Congratulations!
Very good idea! The game has a solid concept and I really liked the graphics but some polishing in the audio, level progression and death animations would help defnitely. Good work!
Game looks super interesting. Unfortunately I could managed to arrange the window to see all the screen. Part of the left and upper side just goes out of the screen and could't find a way to center it or move it. Also in the main menu the "exit" option was hindered by the botom of the window. If you add a fullscreen mode or some way to correct this please notice me.
Confusing at first but once you get to know how to program the ship it's awesome! Reminds me a lot of references: Electrician for atari, commander keen, chess. Great idea! This could become something BIG!
Awesome challenge you pulled for yourself! Congratulations!
GENIUS MAN!!!! I Ultra loved your game! You managed to balance the 2 games perfectly. Making them simple enough to let the user draw his focus to the other game but challenging enough to care about managing time and resources. Really fine work there! Adequate graphics, matching audio, precise atmosphere. The only think I can think to enhace yout game would be an increasing difficulty factor along time. Once you get the hang of the game it becomes a question of endurance rather than skills. 5/5 man!
HAHAHA! Cool game! Reminds me a bit of Tecmo's world cup and arcade's "arch rivals". Controls are a bit funky but you can get used to it after a while. The best defense is a strong offense! Super fun entry! Congratulations!
Come and try mine! https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/tactical-hydra
Nice combination. Great characters! I feel that some movement of the sprites correlative to the actions of the rythm part would add a lot of dynamism. Also, being a rythm game, the music should be more polished. Nice work!
Looks awesome! I'm really not sure what to do or where to go. Some of the further ladscape blinks sometimes. It was super fun to race while shooting other cars. It feels like the foundations of an awesome sci-fi game! Congratulations!
Loved the dark ambience. Nice music, Ultra challenging gameplay! A vertical shooter with mouse aiming is a really good idea, I think it could be a genre by itself. Excellent work!
Besides the jams theme interpretation this is a really innovative game! This is a very original idea that goes further than mixing things but to create something simple and fresh. I felt that the game canvas is a bit small or incoming objects come to fast as sometimes turning speed wasn't enough to get some right. Congratulations!

Nice top-down shooting game! The movement works well and the random weapons keeps you alert. The GUI is beautifull. I think that the typing element is too simple and doesn't represent a challenge. Increasing the typing part with words or the other letters of the alphabet would enhace the progression and variety of the game. Good work!
Super fun game! The only thing I didn't get right is if you can make normal goals. Fun concept!
Wacky combination! Only that the genre mix was only in the graphics, the rest of the game is just a plain horizontal shooter. I really appreciate you did your own sprites. One important thing: some of the enemies appear so high that it's impossible to hit them. Keep on!
Hilarious voice acting! It's really fun to go across the dungeon blowing stuff up. The only thing I would fix is the rotation speed of the ship. It so fast its hard to go past doors. Good work!
Lovely little crusaders! Very fun game with the lemmings look well implemented. The random factor of the stages makes all the stages somewhat similar provoking difficulty progression to be triggered by the occasional "cliff" level. Some way to influence that factor to be inreasing with every level or other threatening element would add an interesting develop of the crusade. I missed some style matching music. Excellent work!
Good graphics, nice audio, creative gameplay. I think its thought for being played on a touchscreen. Using the mouse was tricky to activate the launching GUI so many of my launches went wrong so it was frustrating sometimes. Excelent entry!
Thanks for the ratings and the comments! Effectively there's some polishing to do. To know when you can shoot there's an icon at the side of the thruster gauge and a sound when the gun is fully charged. I'll check your games right away! =O)
@dalbinblue Thanks for your comment! A more graphical guide to gameplay is coming next week :)
@solrun I'm planning a control showing toggle option so you can turn it off once you get familiar with the controls. Thanks for the suggestion!
@ketura Thanks for your honesty! All control choices where made on purpose. Changing the thruster at will is vital for strategy planning and charging the gun was necessary for the difficulty I was looking for. I considered that shooting at will was spoiling the challenge once you get used to the controls. Anyway there's a lot of polishing to do for the next version once the jam is over.
@togis Thanks for the video!! I'll trasure it forever! You learned how to control the ship really quick and well!
@notpresident35 Staying awake till 6am composing that tune was worthy after reading how much people liked it =O). Cloaking changes the ship's color. After your comment I'll include a flashy interdimensional particle in the next version besides extending the ship's sprites to tell de difference between soft and hard turning. Thank you so much!
@blight-radiance working right now about that unregistered shots. Thanks for pointing it out =O)
@cg-fred while cloaked nothing can harm you. Pro tip: increase your thruster for that turn to bypass any danger ;)
@markopolodev Thanks for your feedback! You can go foward adjusting the thruster, straightening the ship (turn once to the opposite direction to do this), and then pressing space, shooting or using the cloaking device.
PRO TIP: Two turns in the same direction and one to the other makes a 90 degrees turn ;O)
@C1FR1 Thanks for your comment! The controls are odd in the beggining as they're unconventional but after a few tries I've seen how most people get used. I'm already planning changes for further versions to get the gameplay more graphically explained.
If you're turning in one direction and turn again in that direction, the angle will be increased... after that if you turn again in the same direction or press space the angle will maintain. Press once in the other direction to straighten the sip.
@Utho Added to the to do list! Thank you so much!
@Blight Radiance Fixed bullet impact bug in new version. To know when you can shoot there’s an icon at the side of the thruster gauge and a sound when the gun is fully charged
@Utho WASD + mouse implemented! You can use either set of controls anytime.
Thanks for your feedback, it's really helpful!
@csanyk Sorry to hear you didn't liked the mechanics. Maybe next ludum dare I'll do something more appealing to your tastes. Thanks for your feedback!
@Blinkenlights I hope to be releasing a Linux version. Have the module for it but no idea yet of the requirements and differences. I'll try to contact a linux user for advice.
Awesome graphics and good genre mixing concept. The gameplay experience felt bumpy searching in the coices menu for the desired action. It a good idea and with more level planning couold become a very interesting game. Keep on the good work!
Looks awesome! Anyway the fact that you cant die kind of looses the purpose of a challenge or to continue after a while. Nice combination!
Interesting concept that can be exploited much more. Some observations: - The movement of the ship is too "loose" for a shooter game. The acceleration seems endless. - The Cards could have much more impact in the game. - The difficulty evolution could be more rationated
Great game! Some fixes would enhace the fun even more
@serious07 I have the same question. It's really hard letting be just some hours of work!
Wacky game! It was superfun to engage that mega war. Sometimes is a bit hard to distinguish what's happening when some spots get saturated with all those pixels. Congratulations!
Come and try mine! https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/tactical-hydra
Fun and challenging game! I liked the way you combined game elements. Is really challenging to keep track of the steps to deliver an order but with time you get to know where to place your mouse while recieving the package. Maybe there's a better way to excecute the orders and cooking than selecting with the mouse. Thanks for creating this game!
Super wacky game! Some kind of indicator for the nest would be awesome. Is really easy to get lost with all the map spinning. Keep on!
LOL! Great game!
The mix of genres is really well implemented and the balance between tasks worked perfectly.
Hats off! 5/5
It's a good idea. Dribbling is challenging at the beginning but after a while you can get used to it. I feel that the horror audio, bright lightning, soccer theme and dungeon walls doesn't match at all. I'm a huge roguelike fan and I believe that only adding procedural random generated mazes doesn't make it a roguelike, just a generated maze. The damage that the ball does to enemies is not consistent (A huge goalkeeper with 2 energy bars was taken out with just one shot) and the damage that the player takes is so little that is almos impossible to die. I hope you take this feedback in the best way for I'm writing this to help you make better games. Procedural random is not an easy task and you managed to create good mazes and comprehensive physics with the ball. Keep on!
Nice 1-bit graphics! Matching music would've benn great. The two genres are present and work together for the user experience. A little bit of context would help to give these little guys a purpose to defy each other. Nice platforming level design. Good work!
Really loved this game mechanics! Shooting words feels amazing. It also feels that these are the base mechanics for a much greater game! It would been awesome to use these word powered skills to do some slightly more DnD stuff, like levers, or puzzles. Awesome job indeed! Congratulations!
Come and try my game! https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/tactical-hydra
HAHA! Cool game! Liked the agressive solution! One thought: For what is really useful the acceleration upgrade? Once you get to max speed it doesn't go down with turns while one keep the LMB pressed. Excellent entry!
Nice aesthetics! Graphical/audio combination created a very special atmosphere. Interesting combination of genres, well thought there! Congratulations!
No idea what happened in the game. The graphics are awesome and the mood was super interesting but it just felt like random tries to get something. Art direction is awesome but lacks the game feel. Awesome work anyway! This could led to something!
Come and try my game! https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/tactical-hydra
Excellent artwork! It really draws one's attention. It is notorious that the different genres were made appart. One doesn't seems to affect the other. I think that one of the most compeling aspects of the jam was to merge these two. Anyway the shooting part worked well and the dating game lacked the multiple choice element wich make it interactive and a game itself. Nice storytelling, hard to keep track of it while focusing on the shooting. It's outstanding for being first time students. More communication between them would merge their ideas in a more syntactic way. The most incompatible merge is in the cute/gore contrast. Keep on the good work!
Super cool game! It was really difficult to tell what was really happening. I described each shot with a lot of detail and couldn't tell which part was being considered. It was delightful for the imagination but i really don't know if my "bruce-lee lightning attack" helped. Excellent piece! Congratulations!
