LD42 — Running out of space

Backpack packer by dollarone 2018-08-24T06:20:25Z

Haha I had fun and really wanted to solve this! Simple but nice entry. What added to the frustration in a good way is that if you wanted to put things back in the right part you sometimes couldn't because you stacked them wrong. I liked it.

AXIE by Rad4th 2018-08-17T21:00:04Z

Hey guys I'm gonna play your game when I get home but also you should make a blog post to get some people to play it ! :) I would suggest at 12h because apparently a lot of people are online then because the submission hour crashed. Good luck and you can try out my game if you want https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/42/changing-spaces Have fun!

Johnny's Flipbook Space Adventure by schizoid2k 2018-08-31T15:12:49Z

The aesthetics and sound design are very nice, the paper stage was a very nice idea!! It's a nice idea of implement the running out of space with the ripping paper but it's still just asteroids would have liked some more creativity like with the paper rips.

HUBOTS by khofez 2018-08-29T21:26:53Z

I liked the graphics but it felt like the concept needed a bit more fleshing out. At this stage I didn't really have fun because it was very repetitive, not very hard or stressful. The controls were also a bit awkward because to use bots to move you needed to left click select them , right click move them to the boxes, then again left click select and then right click move. These are to many commands for the main action of the game.

SpaceSorter by Major_Sauce 2018-08-21T23:01:05Z

The controls were very frustrating but I can see how this could make for a fun game mechanic but I think it went to far especially because the magnet isn't working in the beginning. struggled for 5 minutes to get 1 piece of junk sorted and then I ragequit. It seems like it could be fun but I really can't manage the controls. I used E and Q btw. I think a solution could be that the upgrades are easier to get and you can get better fast. Because keeping the controls so difficult in the beginning makes you feel your upgrades do something then.

SINGULARITY by Syrapt0r 2018-08-22T23:01:33Z

Nice game, music combined with the simple aesthetic provided a very poished experience. Good controls also, I was wondering can you make rockets following you crash into other ships or asteroids?. I don't really like this kind of games normally but it's very well done, kudos!

Runnink out of Space by Aurel300 2018-08-29T19:14:16Z

This game is pretty magnificent. I played it over several days for multiple hurs and loved every minute of it! Because I played it so long here were a feew minor things I noticed, there is a bug in the warping that it sometimes happens twice. Also it would be nice to have an icon for a place were you got a word this couldve saved me a lot of time. Again it was a really great game, craszy that you have made this for a jam! Great mechanic btw!

Upwards by Nitin Kumar 2018-09-02T22:09:53Z

I loved the fact that you can control the block in the starting screen as a sort of tutorial, nice touch! The games mechanics are simple but fun ! The level design is good and I also liked the music. This is a very nice and polished game and the fact that you can play it with only two buttons is very cool, maybe you should consider a mobile port. Nice job! My highscore was 27

Running Cosmonaut Simulator by hungare 2018-08-27T13:32:12Z

IT was simple but way too easy I don't know if it was a bug but there would be large swats where I wouldn't see any planets. I thin it's randomized but with the wrong parameters

Not Enough Space by urbanhelsing 2018-08-20T06:30:34Z

The boosting felt nice, especially with the added sound. It was however mighty difficult! It would be more fun if the game was a bit more forgiving.

Wingman by minibobbo 2018-08-17T20:38:38Z

It's a very nice game, the sound atmosphere, graphics it's all there. I also like the gameplay, but I played it with a touchpad ( my fault) which was very hard :P

The Circuit Designer by Aggrathon 2018-09-04T16:48:27Z

This is a cool circuit simulator but not really a game , at least the part were I stopped. It went a bit slow to my taste, the fact that you need to draw wires instead of just clicking two components to make connections , slowed it down too much to be fun. It is however a very cool idea for a puzzle game but I would like to see some puzzley music and tuning the controls so you it can go a bit faster. The aesthetics are very nice though! I think all in all it's very well done but lacks a bit too really be fun.

Lootsalot by Sn4pi 2018-09-01T10:51:43Z

Very interesting idea, I liked the graphics and the music also but I found it rather confusing to play. The help menu helped explaining but still some things were unclear, also I was a bit annoyed by dragging an dropping maybe just clicking to select and to drop would be easier. With a tutorial this would make for a great game good job.

Bleach Beach by Steffo 2018-08-22T22:00:06Z

The graphics are very appealing and I kind of liked the gameplay but it wasn't easy so there would be some way to make it a bit more approachable. A game about fighting boats would also be a lot cooler than just competing for fish. Good job nonetheless!

Kanaveral by gene-z 2018-09-04T17:03:12Z

It was fun to play around with the game but I didn't really understand it. Give it some polish a tutorial and you'll be good. Art style and physics are already nice.

Space Shack by Apple Dash 2018-08-29T21:52:16Z

The esthetic and story is pretty funny, the gameplay was also pretty fun but got repetitive real quick. Overall nce game , but it needs a bit more to keep me entertained.

Aura by Papaver 2018-08-19T12:01:29Z

I really felt like beaing at a festival trying to reach the bar, well done! Love the name of the game also, "respect my aura" sounds so helpless it's perfect. I'm not sure how I feel about the controls, making it just go forward left right would be easier but you would probably lose the feeling of walking around in a crowd. In the beginning however I didn't see the pointer on your sphere so maybe you could make it stand out a bit more.

Rainforest by SimoGecko 2018-08-27T16:32:37Z

It was fun and pretty hard but I also couldn't really read the letters. The graphics were very nice and the logo of rainforest inc was funny. I very much enjoyed myself although I think I would get bored of this game pretty quickly.

Proto Dash by huminaboz 2018-08-18T21:47:05Z

This game was very cool. Having a mechanic with only one button which works so well is impressive! I got into a kind of flow killing robots :D and even though it was difficult I wanted to keep playing. I really enjoyed the music and aesthetics also.

Mystical Intrusion by yojammerjammer 2018-09-01T11:09:09Z

I liked it, it was funny, well writen and had a nice theme. But I had some gripes with it, personnaly I don't really like the art style and the music got annoying very fast. Overalll nice work, I'm pretty impressed you made this in a jam.

Bus Stop! by Ygor.arts 2018-09-01T10:01:47Z

I don't really understand how to play. The controls are very laggy so it's not really fun. It does look like an interesting puzzle so adding a better tutorial, some intuitive controls and some feedback sounds can probably fix it.

CapyBarbra: A New Brow by Ratherjolly 2018-08-29T21:39:47Z

Haha funny game but I didn't really understand the /100 on the hairs it seemed to go up and not die. Mechanics wasn't really fun but the humor and you're voice acting made up for it "D

Dear Leader's Diet Plan by Historymaker118 2018-08-16T18:26:58Z

I like almost everything about this game, the sound, the rotating stage, the theme and I think the mechanic is fun but in the end I miss some skill or tactic needed to win the game.

Blocks by Anubhav Kashyap 2018-08-22T11:39:25Z

Nice little game, fun take on the theme although I have seen it before in this game: https://gamejolt.com/games/tetris-climber/173625 which I really liked but it's a bit different. I agree the jump is a bit inconsstent and too high sometimes. Overall nice submission, the music was also well done and added to the gameplay experience.

Dr.Zallynzky by pell707 2018-08-27T13:44:48Z

Nice game and nice idea, liked the graphics a lot too. It does have it's share of problems, it is boring to wait around and I also got stuck sometimes. These are off course things that can be easily solved , good job!

The Red pixel by RainbowKappaGames 2018-08-18T22:13:50Z

I like the way it looked with the cube leaving a trace. However I didn't really understand the rules of the game, sometimes you could just walk on the spikes. I also didn't really see the theme here except the bar with ram space but it wasn't clear how it interacted with the game. Maybe because I only played the first few levels

Mr. Flame Just Wants A Hug by mercerbox 2018-09-04T16:37:53Z

This was pretty funny but the controls were pretty bad, this combined with the accuracy with which you need to 'hug' the enemies makes it a bit annoying to play and not so fun. Sound effects were a nice touch and I can understand the theme implementation but not having feet made it unclear when you were gonna fall through.

Penguin Odyssey by ventura 2018-08-20T21:51:13Z

The music really made the game for me, it felt exciting and fun. The way the theme was incorporated was nice but pretty straightforward I would have liked to see some puzzlelike things were it' the other way around maybe you have to wait until a slope has molten enough to be the right shape something like that. Overall a nice little platformer, I liked the way the penguin controlled but it could use some more to it.

The Kessler Problem by catbutt 2018-09-01T10:27:44Z

Very cool idea and it looks very good, with nice details like lighting on the dark parts of the earth, awesome job there! I really love these physics simulators but I think as a game it gets boring pretty fast and is very much luck based. I hope you use the physics and graphics you implemented to make something which has a bit more purpose.

Dark Lord Ludum Dare by MartinTristan 2018-09-03T17:21:39Z

The pretty challenging and fun puzzle mechanic combined with the humorous tutorial gives a great playing experience. I actually played this for quite a while, the puzzle seemed simple but became hard pretty fast. I really liked it. The graphics were ok and the music provided a good mood.

DWN by MicDoes 2018-08-24T12:12:52Z

To me it was pretty boring but I guess I didn't reach the story part. I liked the graphics and the sound of the stamp was satisfying and maybe the story was nice but I tried ti get there got fired two times and had enough of it.

System_Corruption by antonsem 2018-08-21T22:27:40Z

Nice idea! But the tutorial was way way too long, and the concepts weren't that hard it should have been only a minute. Also I liked the sound mechanic but for a game focused on sound I couldn't understand why you chose such an annoying sound effect for the allocator. It really bugged me everytime I shot. Also I didn't really notice the effect of more corrupted cells being created when I used it.

Intergalactic Inhabitance Mission by NNNIKKI 2018-09-01T09:55:08Z

This is the first game in this jam with this control scheme that is implemented well. I liked the graphics and the music also. The gameplay was done well enough but not really exciting. I liked the black hole physics though!

DE/VOID by randomphantom 2018-08-21T16:32:18Z

Very nice way of incorporating the theme it's kind of a mix between a puzzle and action game. The simplistic art style and music makes it a very clean experience and it's fun on top of that. It's crazy you made this many levels which are really different. Great job man!

Continuum by aayush 2018-08-20T21:49:46Z

I liked the simple graphics and you intuitively know what to do. The controls were hard but in a good way. I loved the way the AI were programmed but maybe it would be nicer to make them a bit easier in the beginning. For me because of the difficulty this wasn't really fun although I wanted to keep playing for a while but this is not my type of game.

Attack of the Void! by rubr 2018-09-03T22:19:36Z

The mechanics of this game are very cool! And it also looked pretty great but it really lacked sound to set the mood but I guess that's what you ge tat game jams. I didn't have a lot of time but I rated a few categories already. Will come back tomorrow morning to give a longer playthrough . BTW it's very similar to https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/42/pre-alpha-build a nice idea but both implemented differently.

GRAVEDIGGER - A final stand by Lavinski 2018-08-18T22:32:23Z

At first I was like why am I not dying ? But then I realized the mechanic of the shrinking which is awesome. A nice take on the zombie wave concept. The graphics were pretty nice but I would have liked some more lively colors I think it would give it a more fun feel. Also something in the gameplay didn't fit for me I don't know it wasn't quite smooth. I liked the game but I didn't really want to keep playing

Take care of her by KiiroHanabi 2018-08-18T10:26:47Z

Wauw! This was really great I loved everything about it , the bauhas inspired esthetics, the accompanying music, the nice way of incorporating the theme and I was really moved by the story. very good job! Beautiful!

Stash by Chris Coe 2018-08-19T11:51:23Z

Haha funny game. I really like the simple mechanic and making the controls so logical you don't even need to tell them to us. I think it's a very nice idea but for it to be a full game it would need something more. Overall nice idea, well executed!

CAVEMAN by MaiMai 2018-08-19T11:44:12Z

Hi nice game! The graphical style is very cool. And the sound really adds to that. The gameplay however was lacking in my opinion, the character moved very slow both in browser and the .exe file (although this could be because of my laptop) and I also didn't rally feel a goal except killing some enemies and this made it not very fun in my opinion. I do think you can make a great game out of this because I can imagine a lot of your time went into the graphics. If the movement was a bit faster and the enemies a bit harder this would be really fun. I really felt like I was playing out a caveman story.

Space Crusher by Brallex 2018-08-20T13:18:19Z

I liked the simple mechanics and the way the player moved but as others has said it would be nice to add some more mechanics. Also some music would have really added to this experience, but yeah you probably ran out of time. Overall simple and well done but it would need a bit more to really be fun.

Bunny Bazooka by MZA 2018-08-16T18:39:43Z

Really like the game especially the sound, really gets you going! The mood and graphics were also very good and the game play is fun but as Melmo said it's easy to find "hacks" where you never need to think and just jump and shoot continuously but even then it remains fun because of the music and the satisfying feel of the bazooka shots

Overflow by antoined73 2018-08-19T12:40:04Z

I really loved the way the boat controlled after I got the last passenger in each level I was just having fun drifting! It all looked nice and coherent kind of a cute style. And the puzzle elements you introduced were fun but could be expanded on a bit more in a full game. Sounds were also very satisfying.

The Hero's incredible Chronicles by Gaming Night 2018-08-24T10:27:36Z

This was pretty funny but I really loved the art style, the way the jump looked and the music, the mood was all set. SO I was a bit sad that it ended like that.

Evolucity - Build as high as you can! by Mazzletov 2018-08-20T09:10:23Z

Nice concept, at first I thought it was tedious but I really wanted to get a better score! Sometimes it was a bit unclear where the next level would be placed. Nice game overall!

head space by leviathon 2018-08-22T20:37:44Z

It's a fun game and the music and graphics gave it a good atmosphere but it was a bit too easy and I don't know if this is a bug but I had 6 gray shapes in the beginning but after that no more.

The Subway: horror within by Bibilega 2018-08-25T20:38:52Z

The art is very nice, loved the shrouded in darkness protagonist. I also liked the gameplay but it felt a bit simple and unclear. I know you explain above what move effects which passengers but it's not really fun memorizing all this stuff. I think you just need to think of a way to make this more clear visually and then it's a good game. Good job!

MoodFood by DosWosh 2018-08-22T23:15:07Z

It's really tense with the voice music, all the enemies coming towards you but absolutely in a good way. Loved it and especially loed using the fist, it feels so powerful! :D Really awesome game!

Drown Drown Revolution by Sibi 2018-08-20T21:42:34Z

The implementation of the game theme was very nicely done. Often I'd see an up and right arrow moving together but because I had failed one of them already the timing was different because of the height of the stacks. That was very clever although because of this the timing is also a bit of from the music, an annoying conflict. Maybe you could make sure they jump to the next beat.

Light Towers [WEB] by Jack Maxwell 2018-08-21T06:29:40Z

Smooth graphics and gameplay. It was a simple idea but I enjoyed myself. Some frantic music would help improve the experience I think.

Pre Alpha Build by PlusMinus 2018-08-22T06:56:20Z

Awesome game ! Normally I don't even like this type of game but I loved this one. The take on the theme was very cool. This tetris-like feel combined with the stress of the enemies coming, the nice graphics and the awesome music made it a wonderful experience! Enemies also looked very cool.

Piracy: Don't Run Out Of Space by MariosManiatis 2018-08-17T20:48:11Z

I liked the idea, nice take on the theme but I think the gameplay is pretty repetitive. The music was nice but I think the gameplay would need some progression to keep me engaged.

Beater by Velocity7 2018-08-26T18:39:20Z

"Nothing is available for download yet" I wanted to try but there's nothing to download at itch.io ?

The legend of the looter and the incredible backpack that never runs out of spac by agar3s 2018-08-20T22:11:35Z

I liked the game play and it felt satisfying using the grapling hook. I do think it will get boring after some time but it's a nice idea and game overall. Graphics and music were also very good in setting the mood.

Invasion of The Jelly-Aliens by Cosdots_HM 2018-08-27T13:27:26Z

At first I thought it was too hard then I realized I can just stay in one spot and shoot only what could hit me and then it was too easy making it a bit boring. It looks pretty good and I appreciated the humour.

Maze Crusher by Firesplash Entertainment 2018-08-20T21:35:19Z

I hadn't read the discription and was just murdering knights and wizards and this was really fun. Me being able to fly over everything and just sowing destruction. Then I realized I was getting minus points. Came back read the description and played the game properly but to me this was actually a lot less fun. I enjoyed the feeling of being the bad guy for once. The way the theme is implemented in the 'correct' way of playing is nice but I found it a bit tedious waiting for them to come, running away...Overall pretty nice concept but if i were you I would turn it in to a dragon-destroying-everything-game haha

Survirus by AdultLink 2018-08-22T22:16:15Z

Everything about this game is cool and so well thought out. The little text in the beginning, the explanation of controls, the way the puzzle aspect works. The audio and the visuals work so well together to provide a tense, exciting gameplay! Great job! This deserves a high ranking!

Ultimate Furniture Stacker X-Treme by Norris Eldridge 2018-08-18T10:00:51Z

I'm the feng shui master!! haha loved the humor and sound design. I did however also have a problem with the controls but I can understand that this adds to the moving house feeling. What I don't understand is, is there anyway to lose? Seems like you can just do nothing and the furniture will just pile up. To be honest for me this game wasn't fun because of the impossibility to lose and the weird controls but I like the idea and I can see it being very fun if it's elaborated on a bit, definitely keep the humor ;)

Ultimate Furniture Stacker X-Treme by Norris Eldridge 2018-08-18T14:40:23Z

@shakedimus It was indeed funny making a real mess and then hearing the feng shui master audio. That audio clip is really awesome!

Weltraum by JLV 2018-08-19T12:28:01Z

Very nice, I actually liked only 42 speaking, it made her feel more like a teacher. Good voice acting nice story and quite a funny way of literally incorporating the theme. I did have a bug If I resized the window the text in the text boxes disappeared. Very impressive making me feel connected with the story in such a short time. I would have liked some more agency but I understand it's just the genre so adding some space-agency ;) was nice but could have been used a bit more maybe

No Space In My Stomach by Roman Petrov 2018-08-21T22:51:04Z

The graphics are well done but I find the trial and error puzzles a bit tedious. It would be more fun if you would know beforehand which pill will let which blocks dissapear ( when you have different pills of the same color) then you don't have to try them all out first.

Camp Snuggle by Scott Steffes 2018-09-03T22:10:55Z

Nice mood and graphicts and the gameplay although simple is actually quite fun. Nice job!

Relentless Siberia by lazarche 2018-09-01T11:16:11Z

I liked the game but it was complicated what to use where also there was no fewedback on damage. I liked the audio and visuals though very much a siberia feel. If you could find a way to make it a bit more clear what to do this would be more fun.

NEOVOID by NullCode 2018-08-25T20:28:43Z

This is awesome, loved the music , art style and especially the way you incorporated the theme! The mechanic of the explosions giving you more space also makes your shots feel powerful! Great job!

TUNAPADTWA by ROBOWARRIOR1982 2018-08-22T15:33:12Z

The atmosphere and story are nice. I also liked the way you shoot but the annoying jump mechanic combined with the fact that when you really die you go back to the beginning really frustrated me

32D by Préda 2018-08-21T22:00:52Z

Nice concept. But as if read from other people it took me ages to figure out to press 'E', I had pressed it but just not towards the customer. Aside from that the minigames were pretty fun, it would be cool if there was some introduction of what the problem was a virus, or a hardware problem, ... and then adjust the difficulty according to the severity. The music was pretty good especially in the shop this kind of "waiting room music" felt appropriate. Very good job overall!

Underground Trip by ALKubo 2018-08-16T18:52:56Z

I really liked the mechanic, nice way of interpreting the theme. Only the fighting was a bit strange and I didn't always know if i hit something. Some sound and some visual feedback on when a block will fall would also be nice. Overall very nice game!

Adventures of Spacepup! by FlyingKiwi 2018-08-20T22:29:08Z

TO be honest I found this game to be a bit boring. The graphics were nice but for some reason I wasn't really invested. Maybe the sounds would help there.

Super Square Dodge XLII by DoubleBlackStudios 2018-09-04T16:27:33Z

World's hardest game on steroids! It was pretty fun but I thought it was too hard, music was nice and making it slow down when you die is a nice touch! Good job overall! The mechanic was interesting but not completely clear and sometimes the level was a bit unfair. And a restart button is really necessary!

SunnyLand by soumitra.shewale 2018-08-22T15:44:16Z

A basic platformer that looks and sounds very nice but I ndeed had the feeling it was glitching when changing levels. And the jump wasn't really solid I also had the feeling some collision detection with the water was weird. Also sometimes you could jump very high by pressing spaccen and arrow up I think.

RAMbot by lekkel124 2018-08-25T21:09:40Z

This was a very awesome puzzle game. It took me some time to get it but it was worth it, the two mechanics of replacement and corruption are genius. I've seen other people trying to implement this theme in the contect of memory or RAM and this is the first one I like. I really like it. The graphics were cute and the music was fine but could be a bit annoying after a while. Great job!

Growth Rates by kalcoslinder 2018-08-21T06:34:55Z

Fun idea but there was no challenge whatsoever to this game making it not so fun. Maybe you should try and incorporate some puzzle aspect using this mechanic. Maybe having to end up roughly the same size as the smiley or something. Also getting too big doesn't seem to kill you. Didn't know you could program using khanacademy, nice!

Dungeon, Demon and 2 Walls by Yulia 2018-09-03T17:02:43Z

I liked the concept but felt the hitboxes were very unforgiving making it feel unfair when I died. Graphics and audio were god enough but I didn't really have fun because of the previously mentioned unfairness.

Squeezed Out by danielblanco3d 2018-08-31T07:31:35Z

The graphics were nice enoguh and the idea could have been nice but the amount of luck involved and the to me very annoying sound track ,akes it not fun to play. I'd rather the playing area be a bit bigger and shhrink if you miss a block or something this would make it feel a bit more skillbased.

The Valiant by smuhlaci 2018-08-20T21:15:15Z

For me it's always gameplay first but I see we think differently there ;) I think the concept art and music are very good, hopefully you find the right gameplay to fit with it. Good luck!

Poisoned Palace by jordantanner 2018-09-01T10:13:46Z

Cool game, cool graphics audio and the attack felt satisfying, the freeze ring was a nice addition , all good things . But it was a bit too hard for me and I didn't really have a sense of where to go, also when enmies damge you it's not really clear. Good job on the game, a little bit of polish and I would enjoy it a lot more.

Breathing Room by Barondev 2018-08-22T22:32:42Z

Looks really cool, feels really cool but in the end the search mission is quite boring and the enemies are a bit too hard. But a great submission, just needs some more tweaking in the gameplay.

Step into the Void (Web) by Bilzc10 2018-08-20T06:37:02Z

For me this game was not very fun. I didn't like that the gameplay felt kind of random. I think it would be more fun if there was a small indication like a split second before a block will fall. That way reflexes get rewarded more. It did look kind of funny and I think the music was fitting, the leaderboard was a nice touch.

BugSurvive by TLCoC 2018-08-21T13:28:43Z

It seemed kind of boring but when there are a lot of bugs it becomes quite fun. The way the bugs are programmed combined with the fact that you die if you touch the water means means there's no use actually moving making the gameplay quite stale. The changing of the shape of the island doesn't really impact the game. It would be cooler if there was actually a need to move.

Shrinkle by Tozzo4316 2018-08-20T21:07:52Z

It's a nice idea and it looked alright but for me the high difficulty from the start made it not so fun. I think it needs something more added to this good core mechanic. You could maybe make the level easier but have little minions or idk heart strings messing up your work. This would make it a bit more dynamic

Cat´s personal space by DingoDize 2018-08-20T09:30:47Z

It was a funny idea and the wqay the physics worked maid it fun and challenging. I did however not feel the need to keep playing. I think there should be something more to the gameplay.

Anstorm by ShivArt 2018-08-23T08:00:00Z

I really liked the level design in this one! I kept playing for a while :) It's a nice take on the theme and the combination of avoiding the blackness and shooting the balls made it very fun. I actually loved the simple music and sounds, it set a good mood. I also really liked the graphics but I did find myself wondering if it was necessary to have such a worked out graphic style for a simple game. I think it may work even better with simpler graphics actually, this may be a weird opinion :p

Organize Bits by MaximeMazet 2018-09-01T10:39:21Z

Nice little game but it is very repetitive making it boring really quickly. Some music might already partly solve this together with having something more to do. Everything is just a bit dry, I liked the computer theme though.

Cosmic Escape 1999 by Chocolat-Endive 2018-08-16T18:33:06Z

It's a nice mechanic but playing with a touch pad wasn't a good idea of mine ;) The sound sets a nice atmosphere but I can imagine getting annoyed by it when I play it longer.

WearOut by Abhis1Kadian 2018-08-22T15:07:51Z

Funny intro, nice graphics and sound but the gameplay was a bit lacking. You could maybe have the level be sloped so you slide towards them, .. something like that. Also I didn't really feel muy blows connecting and didn't even see them hitting me.

WearOut by Abhis1Kadian 2018-08-22T15:08:02Z

Master The Space by nenas 2018-08-16T19:03:04Z

At first I didn't really like the idea but I ended up really enjoying myself but I do think it would get old pretty quickly. The sound, graphics and atmosphere where really nice and added a lot to the game experience! I also used libgdx, I wonder if you had as much trouble as I did converting it to html :p By the way if you know of a way to remove the libgdx compile arrow from the top left of the screen plz let me know!

Space Invasion by Nam Nguyen 2018-08-18T09:35:02Z

Really nice game, I really kept playing this one even though I died a lot. The mechanics are very cool although once you have the amtimatter gun you can't really die anymore. Also I had a memory out of bounds error in the last level twice, just wanted to let you know. I really loved the humor and the taunting remarks when you died, I really wanted ti beat the level because of it.

Space Invasion by Nam Nguyen 2018-08-18T12:07:32Z

@nam-nguyen yeah I played the last level for a while in the browser. The error also stated that I could fix this by allocating more memory to html so maybe you can't recreate it because your settings are different or have a better pc. I'm playing on a normal laptop so maybe you can try out on somebody else's machine. If your game is not meant for html it's not worth the hassle fixing it I think.

Alchemist Dungeon by hexkritor 2018-08-24T14:49:39Z

I liked the graphics and the music but found the game a bit easy and therefore boring. The way you moved was also frustrating, I don't really think this persisted motion after you stopped pressing an arrow key doesn't really fit running. It is because of this awkward movement and since collecting coins isn't really interesting that I didn't really enjoy myself. Maybe just making it harder so I actually had to think where to go would have made it more fun.

Changing spaces by Shakedimus 2018-08-17T11:31:11Z

hey @nam-nguyen the game is meant to be single player. The bullets in normal mode are the ones you shot and they just loop around so if it passes the right border it will come out left. If you mean in the special mode I understand what you mean there were suppose to be some indicators but I didn't have the time to put them in. Thanks for the feedback!

Changing spaces by Shakedimus 2018-08-17T14:46:33Z

Haha @nam-nguyen yeah maybe a tutorial level would have been nice! This misunderstanding is actually very good feedback :) Thanks again for going through the effort of coming back and trying it again.

Changing spaces by Shakedimus 2018-08-17T14:51:16Z

Hey @udo it was a very good experienxe making this game with it. It's pretty easy getting stuff on screen and what's also nice is that you develop in a way so you can deploy to desktop, html, ios,.. directly. I think I'm going to make some more games with it. It did however take me a long time to figure out how to deploy to html. Glad you liked the special mode :D ntw I used the tutorial of Hollowbit on youtube

Changing spaces by Shakedimus 2018-08-19T12:07:53Z

@antoined73 @jlv Normally the enemies don't spawn on the player but maybe the radius in which they can't spawn is too small also they can pass trough walls and sometimes it's like they come out of nowhere. If I would remake it I would probably only let your bullets pass through the walls, I think this would be more fair. Thanks for the great feedback, glad you had fun!

Changing spaces by Shakedimus 2018-08-19T12:09:46Z

@papaver Thanks for the feedback. 316 is actually quite good! The highest score I've heard is around 400. And haha I know the mouse thing is pretty annoying but it was last on my list of things to fix so I didn't get there.

Changing spaces by Shakedimus 2018-08-20T09:59:34Z

@antonionp Wow those are both great scores ! You must have crazy twitch skills, I'm pretty sure those are the highscores! Glad you had fun!

Changing spaces by Shakedimus 2018-08-22T06:29:37Z

@mapedorr Thanks for the feedback and the video, will definetly try to incorporate some of that sweet sweet juice in the post-jam version. :D

Changing spaces by Shakedimus 2018-08-22T22:01:51Z

Hi @syrapt0r thanks for playing the game and leaving feedback! :) I didn't really experience this low framerate could you maybe explain it a bit more or make a screengrab of it?

Changing spaces by Shakedimus 2018-08-24T15:33:02Z

@hexkritor Thanks for your feedback. The score increases with both.

Changing spaces by Shakedimus 2018-08-26T18:32:58Z

@ghastlymicrowave This shouldn't happen, do you mean the green projectiles or the brown enemies? Your bullets actually wrap around the screen so maybe you shot yourself from the back. If you are close to the edge you wouldn't really see it coming and it can seem as if it's a spawn kill. Enemies can also wrap around so again if you play close to the edge and one wraps around it can seem a spawn kill. You think it maybe was one of those things?

Changing spaces by Shakedimus 2018-08-31T07:24:46Z

@nnnikki Some nice (Photoshop) skills there haha !!! :D It kind of makes me feel good that you went through the effort of doing it ;) I will definitely take your advice and watch his vids. Thanks!!

Out Of Mind by Biebras 2018-08-21T07:36:11Z

The mood was very nice and I really liked the dying animation. The game was quite hard however, it would be better to have it curve up.

crushED by DaviHayato 2018-08-22T15:18:11Z

The first two were pretty basic, but fun but I liked the tetris one the most. OVerall nice game, the sound and graphics were also well done. I did find the fact that the thing you have selected is grayed out in the menu very weird.

Glowium by Koltonix 2018-08-27T13:36:57Z

I liked the drifting and I didn't notice the camera zooming until it was very very close. I liked that! Nice take on the theme.

Vupu by Team Trout 2018-08-17T16:25:46Z

It's very difficult but very satisfying. I wanted to keep playing! Also because of the awesome music and graphics!

Dodghell by ChicoDeLosMates 2018-08-21T18:59:40Z

I liked the game, it was simple but pretty fun. Loved the death animation that they throw infinite balss haha :D

Action Replay by riperieri 2018-09-04T16:17:41Z

I really liked this mechanic but it was a bit hard. The controls were neat and the music set the right atmosphere. I had fun but in the beginning everything was a bit unclear to me. Nice implementation of the theme!

LD43 — Sacrifices must be made

Solida Amationis by Omiya Games 2018-12-27T08:33:04Z

I think it was a nice story and the music and sound design really put me in the right mood. A small detail it was a bit strange to me when in the park , the text said there were not a lot of people there but you heard the chattering of a lot of people. The story was nice and quite funny, you had enough options to feel as tough you had an option and the nice visuals and sound gave me the feeling of being in the situation. The theme was also there although it was in abit of a backhanded way.

Mantis by Linus 2018-12-27T00:17:44Z

Gameplay was simple but because of that also very intuitive and simple to understand. I actually had some fun playing this although it was indeed a bit silly. It did fit the theme but in a very literal way. I do think the fact that the controls are so simple is a big plus. Adding some extra mechanics to this, like giving birth or something to make it a bit more interesting could make a fun little game. The music was fine and the graphics were funny in the context of such a game. Overall a fun experience but only for a short while due to the limited gameplay experience.

Quetzalcoatl by gentoogames 2018-12-27T00:32:13Z

I liked the look and feel of the game, the jumping and throwing felt nice but I found the controls a bit confusing, maybe using your mouse for the actions would be more intuitive but off course the multiplayer would be a problem. Also it could be me but I couldn't really figure out what to do. I understood the purpose but I couldn't find how to do it exactly, I could grab the sacrifices bring them to the spot but I didn't really understand the mechanics of what the enemy can do to you and vice versa while you were sacrificing. Maybe a more in depth tutorial could be nice. I think it would be a fun party game but I tested it with CPU so I can't say for sure. Nice job on making a multiplayer game AND adding in CPU for the lonely among us ;) Pretty nice you found the time to design the AI.

Alien Jam by wujood 2018-12-19T12:53:20Z

The game looks nice and the music fits well. The art style is very playful and simple. I understand that dying gets you a higher score so 'sacrifices must be made' but I found this mechanic a bit weak, more of an afterthought. The game is solid and fun for a short time but for me it became boring pretty fast. Some more interesting enemies could make a huge difference. Also the bullets were too hard to see in my opinion, a more contrasting color would be better.

Castle Defense by tgiant 2018-12-27T09:37:04Z

Nice change on the usual castle defence concept, I had fun! If you would spend some more time on it I think it would be a really nice game. THe music was futting and the animations when sacrificing people was satisfying. I think the fact you need to build houses really adds a new dimension to this type of game. Graphics were fine. THe only thing that was a bit trange is that you have to drag a building to build it and that first clicking on a building then on a space (with releasing the mouse) doesnt work to build something. Aside from that minor control flaw, a really fun game experience.

Perfectly Normal Inc. by Apple Dash 2018-12-31T12:08:11Z

I liked the idea but it's strange to me that you don't need money for anything aside from some events. This lead to me just kidnapping somebody every turn and easily winning. With a bit more balancing and something that relies on money maybe buying attitude back this could be a good game. Also it's a bit strange that you can't go below 30 attitude but it's not shown visually on the bar where 30 attitude is. The graphics worked well imo. Overall nice idea but it needs a bit more work.

Crush/Burn/Sacrifice by Finlal 2018-12-27T08:08:21Z

Looks and feels very cool. The attacks and jumps are quite satisfying, maybe adding screams when you kill things would be nice. It is off course not a finished game as there is no real goal or end. I also found it a bit strange to use the arrow keys but that's a choice off course. The music really added something to the experience and the art style is very nice! The theme wasn't really there though. Hope you make a post-LD version of this!

Hypnotized Jumpers by D-Studios 2018-12-27T01:05:41Z

I liked the concept, art was okay and music was nice and moody but became really repetitive after a while. The concept fits the theme nicely but the fact that if you die or kill yourself, you start at the very beginning was very frustrating. Aside from that I think it is a nice entry but this really annoyed me and made it a not so fun experience. Also the controls should be made a bit smoother and cleaner, although making dying less painful will already make this less of a necessity.

Bla v Raa : Eternal God Battle Brothers by ragtagradical 2018-12-30T13:52:31Z

Very cool idea and really impressive you made this work during a jam. The artstyle was pretty cool. The actual game though wasn't really fun for me but it is cooling feeling like a part in a bigger battle and I guess that's the idea.

Sacrifitem by ggraca 2018-12-30T14:25:30Z

I really had fun playing this game with a friend of mine. Interesting mechanics, nice graphics. Would be nice to see this concept in a full game. It is a bit broken though I ended up with one item and I couldn't skip my turn.

HYPERFIGHT by hypersnow 2018-12-30T13:42:30Z

Was very fun to play with a friend because of the funny sound effect but you can't really fight skillfully it's just spamming. I like the sacrifice mechanic but because of the one hit kill there isn't really a reason to use the special attack.

Hyper Skater by neowhoru 2018-12-26T13:12:50Z

I like the art and music, and the way the skater controlled was also nice and fluid. The concept sacrificing your health for saving friends was however a bit weak if you don't need your health for anything else like fighting enemies or something like that. Nice idea but adding something so your health matters more , aside for just taking care to take health packs after and not before saving friends, would make it a lot better mechanic.

Lintalho by Vija02 2018-12-30T13:28:29Z

I tried it with a friend but we couldn't really figure out what to do. The game looked good and it was fun to play co-op but again we didn't know what to do. I think the idea was interesting though.

Space Control by Samuel Henderson 2018-12-26T13:49:12Z

Nice mechanic but having a bit more feedback about what effects what would be nice. Also the timing should be a bit longer I think.

Graveyard Gladiator by NotSpaghettiGames 2018-12-27T01:17:18Z

I liked the way it looked and felt but that was about it. There's not a lot of gameplay elements here and the music is nice but gets repetitive quickly. The fact that the look and feel is already there is quite positive though, it just needs more but I understand that this probably lacked because of the time constraint. Also the fit to theme is quite thin I think. Keep going, hopefully next ime you can add some more gameplay elements

Sacrificio Inc. by Reality Blind 2018-12-30T13:04:11Z

The game looks very good and the screams are a nice touch. The art style fits this type of game very well. The theme was there but it's not really a player sacrifice which is more interesting in my opinion. I also think the core puzzle mechanic is too easy to make the game truly engaging. Overall a very well polished game but the puzzle mechanic lacks depth.

Creatures of the Night by Gizmolo 2018-12-24T09:03:05Z

I really liked the music, it set a nice atmposphere. The game idea was also nice but in the end didn't work for me because of a couple of things: -The randomness element, sometimes almost no villagers spawn , leaving me just to dodge the holy lasers. -The disconnect between the mechanics and the game world. What I mean is, it's not great player feedback that the lasers come from random locations instead of the kinghts. Also the fact that you can run through them feels strange. Also fyi if you stand completely to the right it seems you can't get hit. ludumSS.png

AkimBear by ecmjohnson 2018-12-29T17:03:49Z

I liked playing this game and I love how badass the bear looked with the cigar. Audio visuals mood were all very good. I did find it a bit hard but I played with a keyboard. I ended up spraying a lot, which admittedly felt very satisfying. The only thing I didn't really like was the sacrifice mechanic, I don't think the stopping really added to the gameplay but I understand you needed it to fit the theme. Overall very nice game but the sacrifice-mechanic is unnecessary in my opinion. I also wanted to keep playing so that's a good sign!!

Abortion Boy by Saering 2018-12-27T17:41:56Z

Hahaha this is not OK :p I had a good laugh at this especially with the Fortnite syndrome. The decor was very nicely done and the dance was a nice touch. The lose screen is also very dark and fits the mood. The gameplay however is not that strong, but I guess it was not about that. Although I would like to see this aesthetic and dark humor combined with some stronger gameplay. The movement is ok and I liked the squishy sound effects. Level design was also very unclear, It was dark both literally and figuratively ;) It was fun but wore off pretty quickly.

Food Chainz by hannaesthetic 2018-12-27T23:22:52Z

I really enjoyed this game, the amount of work put in to write rhymes, record fitting audio effects and music is impressive. Really good job. The gameplay was a simple dance game mechanic but I liked the humor and mood which this game had. The graphics are also cute and a nice clash with the stereotype of rap. The way the theme fit in was a bit weak I thought though. Nice entry, would've liked some more innovative elements to the gameplay, for example sacrificing a certain arrow to make it go slower so,ething like that but good overall.

The Shrining by Hunter Towe 2018-12-24T09:19:46Z

hahaha a pretty romantic story you got there. The story fave me some laughs and the mutilating animations were pretty entertainingly gruesome. The gameplay itself wasn't hard or interesting though but I guess that was not what you were going for. If you would've added some more gameplay elements, not just selecting one of the three options until your right but rather having to really solve something would make it a better experience and all the more upsetting when you reach the end twist.

Sacrifices must be made by Biebras 2018-12-27T00:11:02Z

To be honest I didn't really get what to do. After a while I managed to chop a tree, get stone and get water but after that I was again lost. I tried to click a tree, didn't really work. I also didn't know if there was a lose or win condition. This game could be really fun if there was some time pressure and smoother controls. I kind a feel how it fits the theme but it's not completely there. Music was nice enough, graphics were simple but certainly passable and the simple style could fit a game like this. Overall I think it is clearly a prototype as you say yourself, but it would need some more mechanics to actually be fun. Best of luck! Check out my game turned prototype, then you will see I understand how it feels ;)

Shepherd Sacrifice by aCuriosity 2018-12-26T12:58:09Z

I liked this game, it has a really nice feel to it, also the song set a nice relaxed tone and was quite funny. Good job ! The animations, sound and juice are there, if you add some more challenge to it, it would be a very nice game.

EagleSong by planschi 2018-12-30T14:48:01Z

I played this with a friend and really had a lot of fun. The clunky controls were hard but not frustrating. The graphics also fit the game well! Great job! The theme was also there although in a bit of a hamfisted way.

HSMC Arena by MrGrimace 2018-12-27T17:13:49Z

I wasn't able to kill any enemies for some reason. Also I think all the different abilities made it a bit much. I think focusing on let's say three mechanics and explore what you can do with them would be a lot more interesting. The graphics and music were quite good. I guess it fits the theme but only poorly. Making sure every ability you put in the game is useful is very important in making this game more fun and simple to play.

Break a leg by AxelOlivier 2018-12-27T00:48:31Z

Very nice, best game I've seen so far! The concept fits the theme very nicely, the art style is cool and consistent. Very addictive and it was really fun trying to survive and it was nice to form a tactic to survive as long as possible. It was a really cool experience overall and would love to see some more exploration of this mechanic. Great job. One minor point, using 0 on num pad as a control is not a smart choice because some players (as in me) don't have a number pad. An afterthought, I think this would also be very nice in a multiplayer setting. Again great job! I hope this gets developed into a full game!

LD46 — Keep it alive

What the Firetruck!? by dvdfu 2020-05-01T15:45:09Z

20 ratings woohooow!!! Hahaha I really enjoyed this game , it looked funny the music was nice, everything fit a quite silly atmosphere. The mechanics of putting out fires was fun although I also enjoyed seeing things burn ;) Putting in car accidents, letting fires spread, rescuing people, having to get water were a lot of interesting mechanics which i didn't expect to be implemented in a jam. The sound of the water did become annoying after a while that's the one thing I can say remotely bad. Great game it felt very polished and everything worked perfectly together.

Manual Breathing by legavroche 2020-04-29T14:50:47Z

I think the concept of having to breathe is quite interesting but I can't say the breathing mechanic was actually fun or difficult. In the beginning I was confused because I thought you had to hold the arrows this made it much more difficult. Overall interesting idea but I don't know if this implementation is exactly right. There should be some circumstances where you need to breathe slower or faster or something to change it up. The graphics and audio did fit the game quit well.

Blood Oath by alexhonor 2020-04-24T09:10:58Z

The feel of the game is very nice! I like the graphics, the music the sound effects and killing an enemy is very satisfying with the little screen jitter you put in. Cool action game and the blood collection mechanic was interesting but I think you could have done more with it because now it didn't really add much.

Oh Deer! by frostByte4k 2020-05-06T21:50:51Z

The game looked quite funny and the gameplay idea is interesting but the way it's implemented is not super great. The sound effect for eating was pretty loud and annoying, I think just making it a bit less loud would already help. I did not really feel engaged to keep playing. I think everything was there but you need a bit more time to put it together in a way that makes it good.

Escort Wing by pushxtonotdie 2020-05-02T05:33:48Z

I had fun flying around, shooting enemies and it all felt really cool. I think it controls pretty smoothly after setting the mouse sensitivity down and the y-inversion maybe I'm missing something but the y-inversion felt weird and I don't think it should be the default. I actually did not see my assignment was more than protecting the ship for a while. when I found out I should collect power I could not figure out how to collect the cores, I just flew into them aand died. Also the ship pointer was there but it should be something more eyecatching than the grey of the ship, at first I didn't notice it and lost the ship for a couple of minutes. Music really set the atmosphere and the graphics were fine, I think the red triangles looked very hostile :) OVerall good game which could use a bit of polish.

Starship to Lethe by nk_x_x 2020-04-29T14:23:27Z

Nice visuals! And the mood of the game felt really spacey. I think the gameplay might be fun but for some reason there was a lot of lag in moving the shields around with the keyboard so I couldn't fully experience it. I don't know if this is problem at my end.

Mutiny by Cataractar 2020-04-24T09:30:02Z

I like the concept and the pirate theme is nice. The normal mode was quite easy but I did enjoy myself. Although to be honest I did not remember ll the different things and what they did , it became clearer during the sailing. I think there should be a more visual way to show what all the functions are, for example when one sailor is regaining morale or all of them , some glowing or a colored outline or something. All in all a pretty solid game that looks nice and feels fun, but the "complicated" mechanics could do with some more visual clues.

BOILING PLANET by Tudvari 2020-05-05T06:12:33Z

I liked the concept and the music and graphics fit it really well. It was quite difficult however, to difficult I think. The grass was very expensive and I didn't finish the first level even after some tries. Maybe it should start a bit easier. I did enjoy myself but in the end it was a bit frustrating because I didn't know how to get a good strategy because the lnd dries out really fast. If you make the first level a bit easier the player gets some time to get to know the game and understand what happens. Also for me it was relaxing but for it to be fun it should have a bit more going for it, different plants, ... but that's difficult off course during a jam. Overall good entry but could work a bit on the difficulty ramp.

Open Fire! by Amazura 2020-04-24T11:19:44Z

I loved the aesthetic, the music and the amount of polish in this game! The dialogue was also a nice touch! The game mechanic however is not very challenging although I can see it becoming more interesting given some more time to make it more complex. Overall a nice finished game but uite simple.

Bonsai by Literal Games 2020-05-01T15:19:08Z

Even though I don't have thepatience for this type of game is not for me, I enjoyed it. It is really well made, the mood is really wel set with the graphics and the music. It was also quite satisfying to see these plants growing in this cute pixely way. It is a great entry which feels very polished , I would maybe not play this but it is a great one in this genre!! Great job!

Together by Ulcius 2020-04-29T15:29:45Z

I think the pencil drawn aesthetic and sound effects were nice an the concept fit the theme well. It was very clear that the choices you made did not matter which was a pity but I understand that you didn't have time for a story tree. Also the three acts were very repetitive but again I understand the time constraints. Overall very nice looking game but lacking some content.

@trexxak Hahaha that is a great idea!! Maybe I should make two game modes: inside and outside of the box :D But did the scoring work for you and did you lose lives? Because for some people it just didn't work.

Brainstorm by Shakedimus 2020-04-25T09:13:47Z

@trexxak Haha no apparently the scoring system doesn't work sometimes. It involves some scraping from the internet so I knew it was kinda unreliable but I got it to work for some of my friends. But ok i need to fix it, thans for the feedback again!!

Brainstorm by Shakedimus 2020-04-25T09:30:30Z

@trexxak @celdur @legavroche @nk-x-x I might have a clue on why the scoring didn't work for you. Do you have Mozilla Firefox installed? I think I fixed it now, if you want you can try the fixed version on itch.io :) And @ulcius do you ? That might explain why it works for you and not for the others.

Brainstorm by Shakedimus 2020-04-25T10:09:32Z

@trexxak Yes! I think I actually fixed it now. If you still have time can you try it again with the new version on itch.io ? Thanks so much!!! I will definitely play your game by the way! :)

Brainstorm by Shakedimus 2020-04-25T12:12:56Z

@trexxak I found a stupid mistake in my 'fix', I cautiously think it's fixed now with the latest version. I understand if you're not going t try it. Thanks for all the help! Fixing a bug you don't have yourself is hard! :)

Brainstorm by Shakedimus 2020-04-25T13:08:48Z

@shyguyberlin Did you see the tutorial gif? Does this help to make things more clear? :)

Brainstorm by Shakedimus 2020-04-25T14:06:19Z

@trogoq You are right about the feedback about connections. The score takes a while to compute, that's why there is a delay but I'm looking into how to make this faster and more clear, maybe I can show the score next to the connection as soon as it's computed. The game is not super smooth but it should not really stop, so I'm not sure what's going on there. I'll need to look into that. Thanks for the feedback!!

Brainstorm by Shakedimus 2020-04-25T19:09:09Z

Haha @trexxak you earned this level of pumpedness! The passive aggresivenes was planned but I ended up making the scoring too high :)Thanks for debugging this problem with me :D!

Brainstorm by Shakedimus 2020-04-25T22:03:14Z

@goutye same for you, thanks for helping me fix this thing! It was because of you sending me the error message that i found the problem :) And thanks for the feedback! Good score btw, I'm looking forward to seeing the finished project ;)

Brainstorm by Shakedimus 2020-04-26T22:42:49Z

@yazara Thanks for the feedback! I think you are right about the shooting being an unnecessary complication, I also felt that way after playing it a bunch after submitting. The way you describe it would also make it more elegant and intuitive. I think I will make a post-jam version that works that way :)

Brainstorm by Shakedimus 2020-04-26T23:27:25Z

@haoro Haha I feel you ! That's a major bug that will be fixed ASAP! Thanks for the feedback!

Brainstorm by Shakedimus 2020-04-30T21:00:24Z

Hey @convg Thanks for the feedback, I'm glad you like it ! :) did you also rate it? Or are my numbers just not updating?

Brainstorm by Shakedimus 2020-05-02T05:39:42Z

@justcamh Thanks for the feedback I'm glad you liked it! :) I haven't had any problems selecting words so thanks for letting me know I will trey to find the bug. Funny connection btw tax-annoying :D And you have a great point abut the feedback, although calculating the score takes some time so there is a neccesary delay but still there should be some feedback. Using the background is a great idea! I will definitely make a more polished post-jm version, thanks for the encouragement !

Brainstorm by Shakedimus 2020-05-03T17:07:19Z

@anuradha Hey thanks for the feedback! You definitely have a point about the controls, it should be a lot simpler. The fact that you had lives to worry about was added to discourage players of just connecting everything but maybe it makes it a bit complicated. About the association score, I know it's not perfect but it seemed to work quite well. There is however quite a long lag between attachment and when the points are given (and the words are pulled or pushed)because it takes a while to compute the association score. Maybe it's because of this lag that it seemed the score was illogical, as it was actually the score for a different word combination. I should make this more clear. If you have time could you play it again while keeping in mind the lag. Do the scores make sense then? :)

Brainstorm by Shakedimus 2020-05-04T11:30:48Z

@fabula-rasa Thanks for the feedback! You are completely right about the background, didn't have time to make it a bit nicer to look at :P Thanks for the color suggestion :) I do not have any audio but actually forgot to opt out, if I do it now I was scared that it would change my rating number or something I don't know. I think the words did move because you have only 4 lives left of 7 and you lose a life when a word is pushed out of the screen. The moving happens with a delay though because the score calculation takes a couple seconds so maybe that's why you didn't notice. Also if the distance between two words does not differ too much from their 'natural distance' they will not be moved. Can you check if you notice the moving , keeping in mind the delay? Otherwise I need to check out this bug :)

Brainstorm by Shakedimus 2020-05-04T11:35:20Z

@fabula-rasa Also if the words did move that's an awesome score!!! :D

Brainstorm by Shakedimus 2020-05-04T16:05:34Z

@fabula-rasa OK thanks for letting me know, then it's not a bug phieuuuw :D Unbelievable score then :o

Brainstorm by Shakedimus 2020-05-05T06:16:24Z

@macdoom I am glad you liked it so much!! I really had fun (and sleep deprivation) making it ! I am indeed 14069% pumped :D

Brainstorm by Shakedimus 2020-05-05T12:28:32Z

@spookyfish Thanks for the feedback and that is actually a great suggestion. I planned on implementing some physics when hitting the words and having them just slow down but in the end I didn't have time so I did the easy thing. I will definitely try to add something like that in the post jam version :)

Brainstorm by Shakedimus 2020-05-06T13:12:15Z

Hey @rik-thunder what didn't you understand? Did you see the tutorial gif? :)

Brainstorm by Shakedimus 2020-05-06T13:20:19Z

@rik-thunder And if you did understand, what didn't you like specifically? Can be the most valuable feedback to get!

Brainstorm by Shakedimus 2020-05-06T14:47:45Z

@rik-thunder Haha ok no problem, thanks for the feedback! I had the same thing with a friend of mine. I showed him the game and he asked me if it would not be more fun if I replaced the words with coloured balls you need to connect:p I guess the game is not for everybody and it depends on how much you like making these associations. Thanks for commenting, at least I know then :)

Brainstorm by Shakedimus 2020-05-06T17:02:11Z

@elio Thanks for the feedback! I'm glad you enjoyed it :) It is indeed bit confusing indeed, the controls and visual representation should be more clear and natural. I will try to make that happen in the post-jam version.

Brainstorm by Shakedimus 2020-05-07T13:59:30Z

@iak thanks for the useful feedback and suggestions. I will definitely try to implement them in a post-jam version. And thank you for taking the time to type this out after already discussing it on your stream! Very handy to look back on.

Brainstorm by Shakedimus 2020-05-07T17:18:51Z

@joamd Thanks for the feedback! The visual representation and controls should definitely be more clear, I will try to fix this. And different people have suggested of just connecting by drawing a line with the mouse in stead of really shooting, I'm looking into this. You're the first person who asked about the scoring system :p I don't use any API but for now I just scrape some websites, which works ok for now but I should improve this as you sometimes get weird connections as mentioned by @manderxan

Brainstorm by Shakedimus 2020-05-07T17:30:02Z

@manderxan Thanks for the feedback! The scoring system also needs to be improved. I am working on it :) About the pace it seems people are divided so I am thinking of working with different game modes. And yeah music and sounds need to be implemented but I'm not great at it so it was left for last : p

Combat Medic by Celdur 2020-04-29T15:02:26Z

The graphics and sounds gave it a good atmosphere. all the animations and especially the carrying of the comrade looked quite funny. The object of the game was not completely clear to me as I didn't know if the comrade was supposed to get up and help or we just move him. Also the enemies sometimes shot through walls so the concept of cover was not there, which ould make it more tactical. It was quite difficult but a very nice idea. Overall solid game with a nice twist.

A 90s Game! by John Snyder 2020-04-25T00:17:31Z

The lovesplosions and felt really nice although they bugged a bit near the tree. Art style is quite nice and I know you didn't make the song but it fits quite nicely to the gameplay. The theme is also very nicely implemented but the gameplay i find a bit boring after a while. Adding some more threats to the tree might be nice in a next version. Overall nicelooking and feeling game with a bit simple gameplay but I definitely enjoyed it. Lovesplosion! :D

Keep It Alive by minnka 2020-04-25T00:27:34Z

I want to start by saying I actually really liked eating people. And you made the monster look very cool, a nice combination between fluffy and gruesome. The html version was quite laggy/buggy but eating people still felt goood :D The theme is nicely incorporated and the rest of the graphics are good enough for this kind of game. The gameplay was simple but actually quite fun, it's nice being the bad guy for once. The one thing about the gameplay I didn't like was the fact that only clicking in the square made the monster move. The square was to small making it a bit arduous to move sometimes and I do not see any benefit to making the licking confined to this square. I think the square should only be used to show what distance you need to be to eat someone. Overall I liked it , very good theme involvment but the akward movements and laggyness should be fixed to have a nice solid game.

Keep it burning! by Kevin Meissner 2020-04-29T14:30:43Z

At the lowest sensitivity the camera still jittered around every time I tried to move. It was unplayable, so I didn't rate it. Can't find the sensitivity slider they are talking about above.

Save the FOX! by Euforia Games 2020-05-01T15:57:47Z

I think the game looks very cute and fit the theme weel. This is one of the first protection games I've played in this jam where it really matters that you are protecting something so great job on that! The atmosphere was quite nice. The gameplay was ok but not super original and it did become a bit boring after a while. Overall nice entry with a good amount of polish but it could use some variation in the gameplay.

Keep Him Alive by Convg 2020-05-01T15:06:54Z

The game idea fits the theme well and the way it controls and looks is nice. But I have a few problems with it: the way I killed most enemies is to stand at the edge of their region and just attack where they stopped moving. I can't imagine that's the way it's supposed to play out but if I tried to go in and really fight with them I always quickly died , I tried several different ways but I think it was just impossible. Also the fact hat the old man is following is a cool idea but in this implementation I don't think it adds a lot because most of the time I left him behind somewhere (which was easy because he got stuck on walls), killed all the enemies and then went and picked him up. But again I like the controls, the way it looks and in principle the mechanic of being followed. I think everything is there but it should all be played off each other a bit better.

Keep Him Alive by Convg 2020-05-01T15:23:23Z

@convg Yeah I checked out the post-LD version and the enemy difficulty/speed is much better ! :)

Protection Recommended by ShyguyBerlin 2020-04-29T15:36:37Z

Keep IT alive (Play Online) by BongoBongo 2020-05-03T05:22:30Z

I actually had a similar idea, it's implented in a funny way. The music fits and the animation is cute. In the beginning I thought it was impossible but then I understood what you meant by mindreading, this was a clever game mechanic! It was still super difficult maybe make it more easy in the beginning. I also don't think the game loop can keep my attention for long, thee should be some random game events to make it more inteesting. Overall, well polished solid game with nice design and graphics.

tiriplici by Trexxak 2020-04-26T00:01:31Z

Hey @trexxak thanks again for helping me fix the bug in my game. I finally good around to playing your game. I liked it! The animation style is funny and cute, especially the jumping fridge animation. Controlling the toaster was hard because of the speed and bit of slide but it was a fun kind of difficult. The one thing I didn't like was the way the fridge moved, I don't know but it felt kind of akward and it's difficult enough to control two things at the same time. A small bug I noticed is that if you have toast at the edge off the screen it freezes and you can toast it whitout it moving. I kind of sucked at this game so I wasn't able to fnish it but to me it seemed I only got the normal toasts as enemy but maybe I didn't get far enough. Audio is fitting but a bit repetitive without other sound effects. The gameplay itself was fun but I think it would need a bit more varying challenges to keep your attention for long. Overall nice idea, nice implementation.

Rebooting Flowers by Haoro 2020-05-01T15:35:01Z

I liked the dialogue and the idea, but it is obviously far from finished. I did think the dialogue tried to much to be funny sometimes which made it less clear for example "right click to pick up the seed .... " so I looked around for the seed for 2 minutes , went into the dark part , got stuck and had to restart the game. Second time aparrently the next dialogue opens up the seed tray, this is just asking for confusion and unnecessary. The flowers did look pretty nice and the concept sounded interesting. Hope you can finish it a bit more next time, I've had the same problem before and one advice (which I never follow myself) is to try and scale it down as much as possible while retaining the core idea, make something playable and try to make that fun. I've had multiple jams where I lost a full day on optimizing something I had to change in the end because it didn't work as intended :p

Mr. Cheesy by SAVVU 2020-04-29T15:13:48Z

This game was super fun and very polished! The audio, visuals and sound effects all worked together to make a funny solid game that fit the theme well. I think I cannot say a bad thing about this game except it not being that original gameplay-wise. Other than that great job!! My girlfriend loves mr. Cheesy :)

. less by theboywhomakesgames 2020-05-06T05:26:08Z

Hahahah you are a master in reverse psychology! I was so motivated to keep playing by you saying I should stop. Also ending song is a jam, what's it called? I really liked the game, the narration was funny and the fact that there was an ending was great because it would be frustrating otherwise. Good job nd very courageous changing your game at the last moment. Great mechanics! :D

LD47 — Stuck in a loop

Hara Kiri by marvalgames 2020-10-23T08:25:38Z

The controls were really slow and that made it a bit frustrating. One of the fun things about fighting games is fast reflexes and a lot of feedback making it satisfying to hit something but this was really lacking. The concept is also not very innovative and I can't really see the looping but then again I didn't get very far. The game aesthetic was quite nice but I would put it just a bit brighter.

Orbitality by CruelMotivator 2020-10-23T16:35:42Z

I think the idea is really cool but it was pretty hard to really feel in control. I think everything should have been larger making it way easier to hit stuff. Now aiming was nearly impossible and I had to approximately aim and try fivew times until I hit it and most of the spaceships I hit were accidental. I think if you tweek that a bit it could be a really fun game. The music was very fitting and the graphics were fine.

Choo Choo Circuit by Elemental Zeal Game Studios 2020-10-13T20:12:26Z

I really liked the puzzle, spent a good while looking for the solution but didn't find it sadly. The mechanic was quite interesting and I could see a game with multiple levels be fun. Graphics and sound where good enough for this type of game and it perfectly fit the theme. It actually made me seriously think about how hard of a logistical problem the routing of trains is. Again really enjoyed it, great job!

Solivagant by RafaelGiordanno 2020-10-22T18:36:11Z

The dog was cute and I liked the music. The mechanics of the game however were not that interesting to me. Moving the blocks around was satisfying but I didn't really see any challenge or puzzle. Solid entry but it lacks some difficulty/puzzle mechanics. The dark gray border at the sides where only the dog can pass and not the blocks was a smart way to prevent blocks from getting stuck.

Hyperloop by R3L0ad1 2020-10-22T22:07:47Z

Wow that was really cool, I'm going to be playing this more on my commute! The concept is not supper innovative but it's so well done! The music is really giving it that hyped mood and the fiery effect when you hit something is super cool. When I started playing I thought it was way too hard but after a while I got the hang of it which was super satisfying. I like that there's a delay in your movement so the most important thing is that you look ahead. The way the perspective was done on the loop works really well for this. Very good entry, I really enjoyed myself!

Dude Ranch by ColeSlaughter 2020-10-11T22:12:50Z

Haha this conncept is very funny and well executed. I really liked the graphics and the nice music, this added to the mood a lot. Also the lassoing was actually quite satisfyin so the gameplay is also nice. Good job!

Core Defender by Hadi Danial 2020-10-13T01:18:37Z

The nechanics are pretty interesting but I actually thought the spacebar thing was a nice feature that you could jump between rings. Having the levels be part of the same landscape was cool but it was also very unclear that I had actually progressed to the next level. the shooting was well impplemented but it didn't feel that satisfying, maybe some missing sound or something. Also it didn't really feel like a challenge I think the movement of both player and enemy is maybe a bit too slow to make it action packed. This also adds in to the shooting not feeling satisfying because the aiming becomes very easy. Overal a nice concept but I feel like the implementation needs some tweaking to make it good and fun.

Within The Threes by JohnnyR 2020-10-17T06:16:14Z

This was the game for me: I was just walking around in a moody forrest until "he suddenly left". I heard the dogs barking tried to follow it but didn't find it. I guess the goal is to find your dog and leave. This was very unclear until I read your description. Even after I read I didn't completely know what to do. The forrest was nice and moody and the music fit but aside from that I didn't enjoy the game. Just walking around is a bit boring. But maybe I didn't get he full experience because I didn't find the dog. Overall good-looking and sounding game with an interesting premise but it needs something more to be fun.

while (true) by Barrier 2020-10-13T00:58:27Z

Funny concept , even though it's a joke the animations were actually fun to look at and the sounds were a nice addition. When I read the 'solution' in the comments I realized it's a clever metapuzzle but I can't really say I like it as a game. I had a laugh clicking through it a bunch though.

@extar @eden-shazar After a very busy copule of days at work I've only just now come around to check my LD page , first I did not understand your comments but then I realized I hid the wrong file on itch when submiting :grimacing: . I've shown the correct file now and it should be more clear. Also I've added a description  It is local multiplayer though so if you have time and a friend maybe you can try it again.

Hyperspace Slingshot by AllBetsAreOff 2020-10-23T16:22:10Z

This was a cool game. It was challenging but not impossible. The little texts to explain things were also very good and sometimes necessary, first I thought the green orbs were fuel. I really liked the gravity mechanic and the controls handled well. Some of the enemies seemed not to die though. The music was really good and kept me going until I beat it. Good job!

Killer Killer by WhoMakeWorse 2020-10-23T16:02:31Z

The slash attack looked pretty cool and felt satisfying but you can imagine hitting dummies isn't the most exciting thing. It looked ok and the music was very fitting but as I said it wasn't very interesting just hitting dummies but I guess you ran out of time.

Escape the Loop by Rawb 2020-10-22T12:37:22Z

At first I thought the mechanic was a bit boring but when I started playing I actually enjoyed myself a lot. It was a lot harder than I thought. The radial gravity was done very well and the fact that the time for a 'level' organically became shorter because of the smaller circles was really pleasing. The character controlled well, animation was ok and the simple graphics were perfect for this type of platformer. The mechanic was nice but to be honest I managed with only freezing things so I don't know if unfreezing is unnecessary or if I'm doing it wrong :p Overall I really liked it but I do not really see how you can expand it to more levels and keep it fresh. Nonetheless good job.

Break The Loop by Meemog 2020-10-24T06:56:50Z

It was a simple but solid game. The concept was not that innovative or itnteresting but I enjoyed playing it for a bit but it became boring fast. The graphics are well done but there could be some more juice/pazzazz.

Pete Repeat by ChilleBigPP 2020-10-17T06:18:37Z

I did not really enjoy the game just collecting the key cards was not really interesting and on top of that it was really frustrarting having to start all over if you got 1 hit. The theme was here in the fact that you respawned I guess but it was not very innovative. Graphics and sound effects were nice enough. Overall I feel like the game is lacking a real selling point. I guess without the frustrating restart it would jst be an ok game. It could also be because I did not get very far so I didn't really see the interesting bit. The game also crashed at one point when I died, this not a critique but just letting you know so you can fix it.

Imperial Eggnog Incorporated by Blue Pin Studio 2020-10-23T00:01:01Z

hahah the text and voice-over was really funny. I also felt the pressure to do well. I had a laugh but I wouldn't call this game fun. I don't know if I didn't play long enough but I think it needs some more mechanics to really keep people interested. Graphics were nice and sound effects fitting and the voice-over was done well. Good job overall

(Nu) Da Drum by Trexxak 2020-10-22T21:55:19Z

I really liked the drawings and the singing set the mood quite well. The mechanics however were hard to grasp. It wasn't clear to me that the greyish layover was actually solid until halfway the game. I also didn't really understand where I had to throw the bear exactly to advance and the grabbing was a bit tedious. The concept of going through the memories in the background was cool especially since we had to guess what exactly happened but as a game it wasn't really fun. I had a nice experience though.

Overcoming by Archock34 2020-10-13T23:18:43Z

The mood was very nicely set, it felt very creepy. Especially the music worked well. The footsteps was a nice way of putting the player in it. Aside from that I think the game is missing some content and mechanics. The one level with the enemies was something but there wasn't much else to see gameplaywise. Overall nice mood but would need some more mechanics to be actually fun or interesting.

EXPLR-57 Rescue Mission by crazyMouse 2020-10-14T22:53:12Z

I think the mechanic of speeding up is interesting but there should be more going on than just flying in a loop. some additional mechanics, maybe a slow down button or something. Just some variation in the gameplay. The visuals were fine and the message in the beginning was great to set the mood. The theme was definitely there but I think in this case the restriction blocked creativity in stead of feeding it. I think a progressive level in stead of a loop would have been more fun. Overall I think the idea is fine but there's a lot lacking to really make it fun or compelling.

GravLoop by AvatarGreggles 2020-10-23T16:40:57Z

[while'd] by Celuloide 2020-10-17T06:21:07Z

I really liked the idea of this one but I think it was a bit too punishing. If you have something which you need to try a lot of times the opening screen with the while statement shouldn't take seconds. Also I think if you die it should restart the same while not start the level all over again , these two things made it more frustrating than necessary. The trext with the IDE highlighting colors which were also in the level colors were a nice touch. The music was good for this type of game. Overall I was super excited about the idea but became a bit frustrated when actually playing the game. If you remove some of that frustration and expand the type of puzzles a bit I think it would be a nice game.

The Loop Planet by TheCakeConsortium 2020-10-13T01:29:03Z

An interesting take on these sim-type games. The ring planet was visually very pleasing and I liked the initial cut scenes to set the mood. The actual gameplay does need some tweaking though because it is way too easy to survive. You can just go back and forth between the volcano and the island. But I understand this is hard to do in the limited time. Overall I like the idea but the gameplay would need some balancing and additional features to make it fun. Also the little texts for every place were fun to read :) Good job !

Give me a drink, bartender by Masterit 2020-10-13T01:06:19Z

I didn't understand what to do, I tried making the same pattern with WASD and I think it said clue found after that vbt my earned money still kept going down. The conversation gave it a nice feel but half of the right guy's text was clipped and the text boxes really block your view. Maybe smaller and/or semitransparant text boxes would've been nice. I think the mood of the bar is nicely set but aside from that I don't know what to do.

Dolen Days by James Clark 2020-10-14T01:02:34Z

I thought the mood was very well set. The music was nice and indeed depressive and the graphics were a cool style. Aside from that it is as might be suspected quite boring to play. I like the concept but there should be something making it interesting, I don't know what. In the beginning it was also very unclear what could be clicked. I thought it was a pity you couldn't die. This again made it feel low stakes and uninteresting. OVerall I think a very solid entry but I don't like it as a game.

Brace for Impact by worblir 2020-10-17T06:22:49Z

I liked the concept and the music was nice and really fitting for such a reflex game. There was however something bugging me , on the one hand I think it was because of the movement being impossible moving in two directions at once, aside from that I also felt like the way it was projected made it a bit unfair. I don't know if I'm explaining it well but sometimes I felt like it was impossible to dodge from both sides and then at some points I thought I had it. Most of the time I leaned towards impossible however. I think the fact that it was 3d and everything maybe made it a bit too complex to keep track of both but that may be my noobishness. Overall I think it's a fun small game but it needs some tweaking to keep my attention.

LD48 — Deeper and deeper

Conduit by reheated 2021-05-11T19:06:36Z

Ok this one was really quite cool! I loved the mechanics, really enjoyed playing, the music is dark and moddy giving it a nice atmosphere and the graphics look nice with the ghost like moving animation. I really like that such a simple mechanic can give so many different kind of puzzles. This is a very polished, fun, pretty hard puzzle game. Great job!!!

Descending by khofez 2021-05-04T07:20:22Z

The music and graphics were really epic, the intro with the angel falling was also really cool but for me the darkness made it almost unplayable. I couldn't see the platforms and could barely see the enemies. The attack was cool but a bit repetitive some kind of combo or variation would be cool. I wanted to see the ending but I didn't making because I kept falling to my death because I couldn't see where I was going. The jumping and attack mechanics were also really smooth. Well done on a really solid entry but I would really ease of on the darkness or have a slider in settings because I guess it also depends a lot on your monitor and lighting conditions. Also I think there's a bug if you keep attacking an enemy it keeps looking bloody so you think it's still alive but they are actually already dead.

Deeper Space by NaraJeamfry 2021-05-07T13:47:02Z

The graphics and music give it a cool mood and the idea is cool but without anything to do this is off course a bit boring. The Asteroid shooter crashed the game for me though. Good job on finishing the prototype but it needs a bit more to really be a game.

Veealune by Krassenstein 2021-05-07T08:50:05Z

This looks. feels and sounds great. The music and definitely the growl gave it a nice eerie feel. The gameplay however was not so exciting for me. It took me a long time to find stuff and it seemed I could only craft more of these ships you have in the beginning. Overall I think it is a nice entry but it needs some more gameplay to really be fun.

Oumuamua - From Outer Space to Deeper and Deepr Down the Well by Nikolaj 2021-05-13T06:45:47Z

Well this was a pretty cool simulation but it was kind of hard to really control. It didn't really feel like game more like a (quite interesting) simulation. It was also really easy to fly of in the beginning making it hard to start. Once I realized I had to fire in the oppositee direction immediately I managed to get in orbits but I couldn't get the refueling to work I don't know why. Overall it's a cool entry but it needs some more mechanics to feel like a game and be fun.

Explovation by sadsmile 2021-05-04T07:05:46Z

I liked the concept, the different patterns of the bombs made it interesting although the idea is not very innovative. The controls however were a bit restrictive, there was something off about the double jump, either it was too hard to execute or it just didn't work sometimes, also you should be able to throw the bombs a bit and not leave them were you are standing. The combination of these two things made it really hard to get out of the way of your own bombs and evade the enemies and that made the game kinda frustrating. The graphics and the music were solid. Overall good entry but you should really be able to throw the bombs a bit to make it fun in stead of frustrating.

Depths of Hope by gustavo.christino 2021-05-15T08:41:48Z

The graphics and the sound gave it nice atmosphere but I had no idea what to do. I could only scan and this did nothing, the other buttons just didn't work. I also didn't really understand the story so this didn't provide any clues. I also tried the post-jam version but I had the same problem with the controls. Half of the buttons not working made it a bit boring of course. As I see in other comments I did think the shark was funny but I think it doesn't really fit the serious mood you try to set with the story, the music and the graphics. Too bad the controls didn't work I would've liked to actually see the gameplay.

Undermined by Alex Davies 2021-05-12T06:36:41Z

I really enjoyed this! The music really adds a lot, making me want to keep playing. It looks very clean and polished and the sound effects make it feel fun. The block breaking animation also looks very cool. The leaderboard also adds some competition which kept me playing :) Very good entry, I would've only liked to have seen something new mechanics-wise.

Bob by Jin9310 2021-05-12T18:33:35Z

I thought the music and the atmosphere were quite nice and I enjoyed it in the beginning but the way the zombies come and the fact you get instantly killed makes it a bit dull after a while. The grenade throwing was akward which made it hard to quickly clear a group of zombies. I couldn't get past the second level because of this. Different guns would have been cool also. Overall quite a solid entry which looks and feels nice but I think is missing some important gameplay elements which prevent a zombie game from becoming boring.

Pheromones by Shakedimus 2021-05-02T02:49:40Z

Waauw! I've been quite stupid. I had it set to restricted :( Haven't had the time to check in because I had to catch up at work. Thanks @trexxak and @extar. I will definetly plauy your games ASAP :)

Pheromones by Shakedimus 2021-05-06T14:54:52Z

@his-games Thanks for the feedback, I think these are some good suggestions!

Pheromones by Shakedimus 2021-05-06T14:56:46Z

@meritcoding @kuviman I think you were both right about it being confusing, I tried to add a gif tutorial and the target lines to show where the ants want to go. Thanks for the feedback. @PxlDev I would say buggy ;)

Pheromones by Shakedimus 2021-05-06T15:01:45Z

@reheated I'm glad you noticed the jumping on top of each other, I didn't have the time for proper level design to show off this mechanic. That's also why the first level is too easy and the second near impossible to do properly.

Pheromones by Shakedimus 2021-05-06T15:03:08Z

@jin9310 Yeah it definetly needs a bit of work ^^ Thanks for the feedback!

Pheromones by Shakedimus 2021-05-14T06:49:16Z

Hey @deathstorm thanks for the feedback I agree that it should be less frustrating. The list thing is actually already exactly how it works though:p The thing is just that you need to be tactical because if you place a pheromone badly the ants can get stuck because they can't reach it. So the queen getting stuck is not really a bug. I don't know how you played it but if you for example place a lot of pheromones everywhere in stead of only ones at the corners there's a high chance that they will get stuck. But I agree that there should be a way to make it easier to correct if they do get stuck, maybe being able to remove a pheromone or indeed a super pheromone so the others get ignored.

Pheromones by Shakedimus 2021-05-15T14:05:56Z

Hey @gustavo-christino thanks for the in-depth review and feedback! Sorry I only got around to playing your game this morning.

Corla by JUSTCAMH 2021-05-14T21:51:49Z

Ok I really enjoyed it, loved the music it gave it a nice atmosphere. The gameplay was hard with the wrong cards but very fun once you got going :) I really like the drawing style also. I don't have a lot to add except that there is no win condition but you already mentioned that. Also it's not really clear that you really die when you lose your hard because you just skipped back. Another thing was that some of the enemies could float over holres and others fell in, it was not clear which ones could do that. Aside from these minor things it was really polished and a fun idea. Great entry :)

Deep Sea Mining by Ausstein 2021-05-14T18:12:35Z

I enjoyed myself a lot ! The drawings looked very nice, the sounds made the ships feel fast, the monsters sound dangerous. This one really was nicely polished. The shooting was a bit annoying though until you get the homing rocket, this made it so I was not really fighting the creatures I usually just returned. Also the going up again took some time which was a bit boring. The negatives I just said are all just to give you something to work on because in the end I really enjoyed it. Nice job, definitely on the graphics :)

Dig World by kuviman 2021-05-11T10:57:17Z

It was cool how many features that were there like the character customization, giving names and the online multiplayer all very impressive in 48 hours! But.... I didn't really enjoy the gameplay, maybe it's because I was by myself but it felt quite boring and without any real goal. I did have fun customizing my character though! The music also gave it a nice chill vibe, which really fits this type of laid back game. Overall very impressive but it's lacking a bit of gameplay mechanics to make it really engaging.

Planet LD48B by Outfrost 2021-05-18T19:20:48Z

This game looked and felt very good , the sound also added something to the exploration feel. It was a bit unclear though what to do, I understood I had to collect thing but the level was quit mazey. A running button might help to traverse it faster. And there were a lot of things that looked like I could pick them u or hit them but I couldn't. This made it a bit frustrating to find what to do. It would be nicer if you can see at once if you found something you could use by making it glow a bit or something like that. Also I made something but then Q and E did nothing even though it was at the bottom of the screen. This big world also felt a bit empty, I only found a cuple of different types of lfowers and no other travellers. Overall a very solid entry in look and feel but it's missing some content.

In case of recursion: by TC5550 2021-05-07T07:12:22Z

The room in room in room idea was a pretty cool implementation of the theme. I liked the escape room like puzzles but I agree that in the second level the number should have been in one line to make it clearer. It looked good but a bit of moody music would have really added to the experience. Overall good job!

Pescuit Pe Plajă by Trexxak 2021-05-03T08:49:43Z

The music and the drawings gave it a nice smooth mood, which was reflected well in the gameplay. Although the fish went quite fast for me at some point making it hard to catch them. I wanted to finish the game to see all the items and level drawings and I enjoyed the game while I played it but I think the gameplay gets boring pretty fast. Overall very nice moody game with simple fun gameplay, but this gameplay is hard to extend to make it interesting in the long-term.

Not deepest dungeon by Lichead studio 2021-05-07T14:00:25Z

I enjoyed the music and the way it looks a lot, gave it a whimsical feel. The sword control mechanic is also cool but the player control was quite annoying. Most of the time I stood still because I couldn't control the player properly. I enjoyed the game however and finished it but I would really change how you control the player movement. Overall pretty good entry with a nice mechanic.

Sub-Uber-Marine by extar 2021-05-03T08:34:41Z

It's a well polished nice game at a floaty pace. I think the graphics , the music how the collisions and the sonar worked, fit together very nicely to give it a nice underwater vibe. I do think the mood gave it a more leasurly pace and I wasn't really racing against the time. That's not necessarily bad but maybe , do as much as possible in 5 minutes is not the best mode for this game. The locations were quite funny and entertaining. One thing which was unclear in the beginning is that I could pick up divers ecause I wa going to fast, mmaybe a sonar in their direction would be nice. I think overall it is a nice polished game, which fit the theme well. I enjoyed playing it but it was a bit slow paced so could become either calming or boring after a while, not yet sure :P Good job!

LostBrother by MeritCoding 2021-05-03T09:02:16Z

I see people talking about the audio but I didn't have any. The game was a simple platformer, with a simple story. In that it succeeded. The drawing style was nice but obviously the gameplay could use some improvement. The jump was way too slow making it really easy, it wasn't clear that you need the high walls in the middle. It's weird that your bullets have the same speed as the player if you run tright and shoot you just have something floating. I also think it's a bit of a weird choice to use the mouse if it's only for clicking, I would have used the "W" button for example. I think this game succeeded in what it wanted to be, I enjoyed it for that although the gameplay is not very innovative. Good job still on also adding a lot of things like the story.

Down to the Core by his-games 2021-05-09T16:51:36Z

The gameplay was fun and the music really gave it a pumped up feel. The graphics were quite simple but nice although some of the enemies and the cores itself didn't have good contrast . With all the in between level animation and stuff it also felt quite polished. The theme is not super strong but it's there. The mechanics were quite standard but well implemented. Overall a very solid entry, I enjoyed plying it.

Falling Through Love by CinderBlock 2021-05-09T16:41:21Z

The idea of the game was kind of funny that if you die you ended the relationship but for me it was a bit too difficult. Controlling two characters is already hard so the game should be quite forgiving I think. Also the fact that the bounced of each other hard made it even harder and I also thought that it didn't really fit well with the lovers idea. I thought that when you brought them close together they would maybe hug for a few seconds. This could actually be a mechanic to make it less difficult to have them stick together for a few seconds and then bounce of, this would make it tactical about when to use this. The graphics were nice but some music would've really helped the mood but I understand that you didn't really have time because of doing the compo . Overall a nice game which needs some difficulty tweaking and maybe some more mechanics to keep me interested. Good job on maming a well polished game in the 48h!

Deep Pocket Digs by ChrisAP 2021-05-17T19:22:03Z

I think the idea of the game is pretty fun but I had a problem with the controls. It didn't feel intuitive to control the mole and I was very annoyed that I couldn't just hold space if I wanted to keep digging. Every time I came out of the sand and wanted to enter again , the mole first really had to land and I was mashing the Space button. I don't know if it's a button down versus button held thing but imo this really holds the game back. The coinbag mechanic was really cute but I only noticed it because you mentioned it on stream. I think it's a nice idea but then there should be more focus put on it with some jangling coin sounds for example. Overall a good entry but the controls kept me from really having fun.

Future Ants by TheTimesweeper 2021-05-04T06:20:30Z

This is really cool! My game is a very similar idea but a bit differently and worse implemented. The pheromone mechanic is really cool and well implemented. The music gives it a nice feel. Seeing the ants going around and then following the trails is really cool. It does not have a lot of gameplay though. I also could not get the iron resource for some reason and was only able to make gatherer ants. Overall, very nice entry with a cool concept a lot of polish but it would be nice to fit in a bit more agency. You should check my game out, it's way less advanced but interesting that we came up with such similar ideas and went a completely different way.

Deem by AdamPhoebe 2021-05-18T17:51:10Z

The game sounds looks and feels very moody. The music, the blue stream when you jump, everything looks very cool. The movement is also solid. I didn't however figure out what to de exactly. The fact that you could switch the type of block I can place is interesting but it seemed there was nothing I had to do with it. I just dug down and could seemingly just keep going. Overall it's quite a cool entry but it lacks some gameplay or goal.

A Dungeon by PxlDev 2021-05-11T11:18:33Z

I really liked the music and the graphics, it gave a nice atmosphere. The jumping was good, but it was quite hard for me, but I haven't played that many platformers. I do think a bit longer transition on dying would show me what killed me a bit better. Also I got stuck in a platform and couldn't get out: bug.png Overall a very solid platformer style game.

Cliffhanger by Lamamour 2021-05-12T19:48:15Z

I think the concept is pretty cool and I can imagine it being fun playing with somebody. I played against the AI and beat it a couple of times but in the beginning I thought way the shooting worked with holding the key was very annoying after a while I got the hang of it though. Still I think this mechanic is a bit annoying although playing with somebody else it might lean more towards funny. I think the sounds and graphics give it a nice mood and I did have fun. Overall a pretty good entry but I think this one would improve a lot with playtesting.

Silex by tigerfinch 2021-10-14T16:13:08Z

I liked the take on the theme but to be honest I found the implementation of resque-the-people a bit boring. The controls were pretty good though, I liked the way the vehicle controlled. Good job on the compo though 48h is not long!

Fool's Paradise by ghost-in-the-toast 2021-10-17T23:09:45Z

Hahaha man I'll just put it here since I can't rate 5/5 Humor!! I enjoyed the multiple "levels" a lot and indeed the voice acting sounded really professional. The drawings were also cute. Good job , loved it!

Quantum Splitter by thetatautau 2021-10-13T08:14:29Z

I really liked this puzzle game and the fact that you kept adding new elements like more moves, multiple splittings, movable atoms,... kept it fresh. Also the way you added them gradually was very nice from a tutorialisation perspective. I also really liked the simple visuals and calm music. It is an interesting take on the theme and it was quite challenging in a satisfying way. I don't really have any criticism. I think this would be a great game for on mobile. Ah one thing, the movable atoms at first I thought you couldn't move them past other atoms and I thought it was an interesting puzzle element but then I realized you can just drag them anywhere maybe that would add some added difficulty. Again I really enjoyed it, I had to finish the game :)

Spherry by Rewzu 2021-10-19T15:00:02Z

I think the game idea and the way it looked is quite funny. Good job on the wave mechanics too. The actual win condition, that you had to choose when to stop I thought was a bit weird. Good theme implementation too. The idea is not that innovative but a nice and simple game. Good job! Ah yeah and the lifeboats were adorable, nice touch!

Tightrope Fight by PlusMinus 2021-10-13T10:11:24Z

I liked the idea but to be honest I found the actual gameplay a bit boring. I think it needs some additional mechanic like other commenters suggested maybe some swaying or balancing or leaning to a side or that your swing puts you of balance so you need to swing to the other side in between enemies something like that. Overall cool idea but I think it needs something more to actually be fun.

Unstable Working Conditions by J0ye 2021-10-19T19:35:30Z

Haha it seems like such a silly game but I actually thoroughly enjoyed the half skill - half puzzle game style. The calm music also really added to the experience. The variation of the boxes and the tennis ball also kept it interesting. I don't know how you would expand it but I really enjoyed it as is. Good job!

The Butterfly effect by Shakedimus 2021-10-14T21:47:46Z

Hey @orangutanrider did you read the "How to play"? If so I should make it more clear in there. So the blue butterfly attracts the wind and the red ones repel it. So if you leave the blue butterfly in the middle for example you will see a lot of wind go there. If on the other hand you place a red one somewhere, for example in an allied zone, you see the wind going away. Does that make it more clear? :)

The Butterfly effect by Shakedimus 2021-10-20T07:01:44Z

Hey @Teto thanks for the feedback1 I appreciate the concrete tips :) Did you maybe forget to rate? I am getting around to playing all the commenters games btw so expect some feedback from me too soon :)

The Butterfly effect by Shakedimus 2021-10-20T21:03:23Z

Hey @erikengineengineer , thanks for the feedback. I think my mistake is mainly not having a good tutorial where you can try it out for some time. Also because of the randomness, you can be very unlucky and die quickly. Because the game itself looks harder to play than it is when you get the time to get the hang of it. I added a playthrough to my description, maybe that helps :)

Reactor by Birdwards 2021-10-17T23:23:29Z

I really liked the music, the visuals and the concept of the game. The music was very soothing and gave it a nice mood. I do think however the game needs to be balanced more. What I mean is for example the atoms decay very fast but also it is pretty hard to control your "core" this makes it so that to get the higher level atoms you need a lot of luck. I did kind of enjoy playing it but it felt off in that way. I also feel like the amount of atoms flying around, the size of the death ring, the speed of movement, ... are all things to tweak. With the tweaking I think you can go two ways either aim for a calming game or make it more high paced, I think both can work. Off course the fact that is unbalanced is to be expected in a jam , definitely for the compo. So overall I think it is a great entry that with a bit of finetuning can be a very fun game.

Crazy Golf by Kirby 2021-10-14T16:31:53Z

It felt, sounded and looked pretty good! The mechanics itself though are not vey innovative and it was unclear to me if the monster boxes actually did anything. The time speedups also looked cool and I di actually enjoy myself. Good job in short time but it would need something more to keep me interested.

Crysterra by Teto 2021-10-20T08:04:32Z

I liked the idea and the graphics and music set a nice mood. The little intro story also helped a lot for the mood. I did however find it a bit boring but that might be tied with the fact that I didn't really understand how to prevent the crystal from becoming unstable. I get that the actions you do can destabilize it but is there some restabilizing action? And what do the enemies do exactly, I just killed them before they got to the crystal. I feel like there is something really cool in there but due to lack of instructions and maybe a lack of variety in the mechanics it didn't completely come through. Most of my critique sounds negative but overall you did a really good job! Cool game !

Rocket C h a o s by Juanv 2021-10-20T23:10:36Z

Man the music and visuals are so awesome. Especially the song is great, it is stuck in my head. Also the idea of an unstable black hole was cool although the gameplay is quite basic. I enjoyed playing but after a while there is not much variation. Also the ship si very hard tocontrol, I ended up just sitting at one point and only rotating and shooting. So overall the controls need some work and the mechanics are quite basic but the music and the visuals really kept it fun for a while.

Eldritch Horse by Knipsch 2021-10-20T08:21:22Z

Hahahaha really funny game and it al fit together so well. The beginning and and screen texts are funny , the way the physics works is just goofy enough and the changing music is such a nice touch. For the type of game that it is this is really good. It was also nice to go for different goals: high scores and then als go for crazy mutations. I am quite impressed btw with how you handled the physics when combining animals, you could float when you had some bird in you , jump high with a frog, ... Pretty amazing that you did this in the compo. I wouldn't now how to expand this game but is great just for what it is. Good job!

Mudball by JD_Isaac 2021-10-19T19:51:52Z

Man the idea was simple but the game was quite hard. I enjoyed it even though it is very simple. I liked the fact that you had this trade-off between keeping the scale balanced but getting to the mud drops. It was a bit weird though that there were levels but they were essentially he same. A high score system would've been better I think. Overall a fun little game with a simple but interesting idea! Good job! Also mudball is a funny name :D And the graphics and music are simple but are very pleasant.

Swing Gobang by dcy11011 2021-10-21T05:19:47Z

I kind of like the idea but I'm not sure if the implementation is actually fun. First of all there were some things missing like the win condition is not enforced although the five in a row glow, which is a cool effect. Also you can click anywhere so also already in the pile so then you don't really care about gravity and the game becomes boring. There should be a lower zone where you can't click so gravity always matters. I guess these things are just lack of time. Another thing is that I feel like the game is not actually won by skill but more by luck because of the bouncy goofy physics. I think you need to either go over the top with the physics and make it a bit frantic or make the physics very rigid and predictable so it's a strategy and skill game. One last thing the music was good but I really felt it didn't fit the game. Sorry for all the negatives but I try to critique what I see. Overall I still think there is a cool game in there, it just needs some more time and attention to detail to bring it out.

My beloved uranium by basalapka 2021-10-13T08:47:39Z

I managed to discover it's a kind of Simon says game when you click the red light. Aside from that I can move the water level and the gas gauge. It looks cool and is well suited to the theme. It does not really seem playable though. I will rate what I can see now.

Pet the Damn Cat! by Deprecat 2022-10-09T07:45:49Z

Nice game! It looked very well and it's quite a funny concept. The music also set a good mood. It was kin of hard though ( I did play with a touchpad). I also don't think the gameplay loop is very compelling I enjoyed it but I think this was mostly the mood and the graphics and the funny concept. I think if you would continue this I think it would be good to work a bit on making the minigames fun to do multiple times. I enjoyed it for a short run though. Good job ! I am also amazed with the amount of polish you managed to do. It looks and feels so finished.

@winter2277 thanks for the feedback, I agree with the UX coments, I was aware of this but I only had very little time this weekend so I made everything work in the way it was easiest to implement. Also I have to admit I didn't program the server. I used https://silentwolf.com/ a free backend for Godot game highscores, I was so happy when I found this , you should check it out:D Wasn't really built for votes though so I had to hack a system together where I used the metadata and an "acummulator" leaderboard.

The decasecond by Shakedimus 2022-10-08T11:14:07Z

@jamdong15 Thanks for the feedback! I agree some prompts do not really fit with the main objective. I originally planned to have a few rounds with different takes on "every 10 seconds" with one being facts and the others being more broad. I didn't have time to implement this but I threw in some of the prompts I had already thought of for the other rounds. Might have muddled the message a bit that way.

@eroaxe you can see all the answers. It might not be very clear though. When you finish the game you get to see the specific leaderboard of the questions you answered but if you hit "All prompts" it gives you the full leaderboard across all the different prompts. If you hit "hall of fame" in the starting menu it takes you there directly. Hope that makes it more clear. Thanks for playing and for the feedback!

Me and my girlfriend really enjoyed this game. The movement was a perfect combination of controllable and difficult. When I died I felt it was my fault but the difficulty was hard enough to make it fun to compete :) The graphics and sound effects were very cute and the graphics were perfect for this type of game. Well done! Fun little game :D

Haha I had to laugh with this one. The contrast between dark space and the colorful unicorn world was a good call. It's a a pretty basic game but I nonetheless enjoyed it. I can imagine both the unicorn and the spaceship having upgrades and it being quite engaging actually. The graphics and the music was also well done. Good job!

Poda Wants a Statue by Doot 2022-10-08T05:22:18Z

I really enjoyed playing the game, it was relaxing, fun and I enjoyed throwing around bunnies. The music and graphics are really great and the story is funny, loved the Poda animations. I do have some gripes with the game though. I thought it was quite easy which made it a relaxing game but also I didn't really feel I could get any crazy tactics going, I don't know how to balance the difficulty with the relaxy feel but it just made it so that I enjoyed it but didn't really want to play again because I don't feel like improving my score. Also on the one hand I like the way the theme is implemented her but at some point you have more bunnies than you have time to move in place in 10 secs, if you would keep developping this game I would consider if you could amend this feature where the player can do something to avoid this or maybe the effect doesn't affect so many bunnies. Also in the beginning I didn't realize you had to put bunnies on the platform to actually build the statue, this could be a bit more clear.Overall I really enjoyed it and I hope you keep developing it, which is why I tried to come up which as much feedback as possible so don't be fooled by the negative points, I loved it!

Hey I wanted to play your game but it opened up in a tiny window which I couldn't resize: I am running the Windows build. tinygame.png

I thought the art style was nicely done, the sound effects were also good except for the hammer, I know it's realistic but it's a very annoying sound if you hear it repetitively. For your main action you should be careful to have a too loud or annoying sound. Aside from that I think the story around the game was nice but the mechanic of fixing stuff wasn't actually that fun for me. The salt was a nice touch though. Overall a very solid entry!

To Catch a Wizard by badcop 2022-10-09T18:23:21Z

I loved the rewind mechanic, the "puzzle" of figuring out the order you needed to get stuff in was nice. Overall a very cool game but maybe a bit hard. I also felt like sometimes the jump was a bit later than when I jumped, in general the controls could ha ve been a bit tighter. But I liked the way you sued the theme, also the story you made around it. The graphics were all they needed to be. The sound fx were nice but I think some music could have added to the mood. Also the boss is way too hard but ok I guess you heard that already. Good job!

Peekaboo by VictorFinger 2022-10-14T15:42:14Z

Fuck this jumpscare :p I think the idea was funny and could give a quite scary and stressy mood. This was however undermined by the actual gameplay. I found it quite confusing I didn't really see much on the monitor because it was very dark. When they came in through the window ( I think) I did not see at all, this all just felt unfair. To me the " 10 seconds" thing was also not very obvious even though the voice in the beginning said it was there. About the voice-over, this was nicely done and added a lot to the atmosphere, it was also a nice way to do a small tutorial. Overall I think it was a nice idea but the execution could be better. EDIT: a lot of my gripes could maybe be because of the lagging.

Peekaboo by VictorFinger 2022-10-14T16:28:39Z

@maxkyckling well from reading the other reviews it might have just been that it was lagging. The pc screen was super dark for me and also in the window I couldn't see the crazies coming. So then it just felt very unfair and not fun. So just make it a lot easier (or less laggy)

My Keyboard is Full of Ants! by Jeremy Ryan 2024-10-14T11:32:27Z

Hey I loved the game. At first I thought you were just going to have to mash the letters the ants were on but having it be words is so much better! I thoroughly enjoyed playing! I liked the graphics and the music they set the right mood. The multipliers, bonusses and so on really added to the fun and gave the game some juice. It only seemded the k-bombs werent working for me. Or at elast I didnt see that they did anything. Overall great job. Especially for the compo! Really fun game.

My Keyboard is Full of Ants! by Jeremy Ryan 2024-10-14T11:35:23Z

@jeremy-ryan technical question. I have been trying to export my pygame game using pybag but I keep getting the error "no module named scipy". I am using scipy but when making a simple test program without scipy and removing scipy from my environement it still gives the same error. I am using conda environments. Do you have any idea what I might be doing wrong?

Play With Me by gord10ahmet 2024-10-15T21:52:52Z

The games were fun, I liked the graphics and the mood. The twist was cool but for me there was not enough to do to really be fun. I think tamagochi is fun because you interact with it over a long time, which you don't have here and then it misses it's effect. Also the twist would be more impactful if it clearly resulted from your actions in stead of being inevitable. Overall great job on the game overall but it needs some added elements IMO to really be fun. Mood and aesthetics you already have in spades.

Sugarglider in the Oddforest by Untitled Studios 2024-10-17T07:51:40Z

I thought the visual style and the music worked together well. I was however a bit confused with the controls "K" was both gliding and climbing which made it a bit clunky because if I was climbing and let go of the button for a moment and pressed again all of a sudden I was gliding the other way. I think this should be fixed to really make the mechanics work. My other gripe was that the visual style was cool but it did make everything a bit hard to see. Overall A very nicely looking and sounding games but I think there should be some work on making the mechanics work better.

@untitled-studios Thanks for your comments. I am glad I could change the "what the hell is this" into a fun experience :D I checked out mushroom 11 and I can see what you mean, looks very cool. Regarding your stutter issue I just uploaded a low-framerate exe which is identical to the other one in all other respects. If you would like to test it out, let me know if it works :) It was my first time working with cellular automata and doing it in pygame was off course not ideal for performance ;) It was cool to learn about them though and use them in a game.

Multimorph by Shakedimus 2024-10-08T09:12:32Z

@matt-swieboda Good point, I updated the instruction to say "hold SPACE" in stead of press so I hope this makes it more clear :) I'm glad you liked the "random" generation. I started just playing with cellular automata and thought the movement looked cool but wasn't sure how to make it into a game. In the end I realized this infinite-runner type game would emphasize the weird movement.

Multimorph by Shakedimus 2024-10-09T11:03:55Z

@ciaranw Damn, that's some highscore ! Good job ! :D I created a similar cellular automata but not exactly the game of life. The movement is actually based on changing the automata rules when you press an arrow key. Indeed the difficulty is not really fair and although I put in a difficulty ramp, there are a lot of random numbers involved making it possible to have really unfair situations. Didn't really have time for sound and music but I think it could really add to the game to have a sound effect when growing and some music to have some added suspense. Regarding the screen size however I was a bit limited as the cellular automata are quite computationally expensive and can take up the whole screen. Since I was using pygame for this it was too slow too increase the screen size much more.

@chuckles will fix the html build tomorrow, have not had time. I will tag you when it's up :)

Yase-gaeru by Alexascher 2024-10-11T07:43:49Z

I thought the game was really fun. I liked that it was one simple mechanic both for platforming and eating. However I did find the platforming very hard and non-intuitive. I could not get past the unkillable bug , that was too hard for me. Trying to get somewhere was hard enough but I could manage after a few tries. Having to move from platform to platform constantly while evading the bug was too hard for me. I also agree with some previous comment that the chill music does not fit the brutal gameplay. Aside from that the music was nice and the graphics were cute. Good job overall!

PATCHONOMICON by pepnou 2024-10-09T10:56:20Z

Hey I enjoyed the game, it was quite soothing. However in the beginning I was very much trying to match the color exactly , since there was no timer or anything it was not clear if I needed to be quick or exact. I think either reducing the large amount of colors or adding a timer would solve this, however both would really change the game so I understand if you just wanna go for this relaxing gamestyle. Aside from that I really liked the graphics style and the music, it created a nice atmosphere. The stitches appearing on the patches was a nice touch. I have a few questions though. The eerie music at the end and the evil eyes of the patches after 9even after a restart) that made me think there was a twist coming. Was this ever the intention or what was the idea about suddenly making them evil? I really spent a few things trying some different things to see if something would happen xD

Antibody by Alopar 2024-10-10T10:56:09Z

Cool idea! I liked the music a lot and the way its drawn was cute and fun. I enjoyed playing it but I did think the scrolling made switching letter a bit finnicky. In my opinion having a key for this would be better bus you can very easily scroll to far, making it slow and a bit annoying. Also I think if you would expand this it would be nicer if you can visually tell apart the virusses with colors for example this would again make it more fast paced. Overall good job on making such a fun and well polished game and an interesting take on the theme.

Are you listening? by Sockenpuppe 2024-10-10T21:40:34Z

Very good looking Visual novel and well written too. I enjoyed it and was invested in the story. I think the little critters were not much of a game mechaniv but they worked nicely here as a visual representation of Leah's depression. Great job! Ah and BTW I played the HTML on my Android phone and everything worked perfectly.

Ludum Dare 56 by Mantsje 2024-10-10T18:16:50Z

It was a very funny entry and it was well pollished. Nice music and SFX, fun graphics and the game mechanics were fun. However to me it was impossibly difficult, I think starting of easier and letting the difficulty ramp up would be nicer. This would also give the player time to get used to the mechanics, as you need to get to know 5 different spells and 20 different dangers this could have really helped. I also thought something about the spellcasting itself felt awkward, the first selecting then clicking didn't feel right to me, maybe just hovering above a kid when you press the button would work better I don't know. Overall a very solid entry and I think it could be very fun if you make it a bit more forgiving. Goed gedaan!

Tiny Wreckers by SHAKIROVICH 2024-10-10T18:55:03Z

I thought the game had a very funny look and I enjoyed playing around. I did think it was quite difficult to get the hang of building these bridges though. Music and graphics gave it a nice atmosphere also. OVerall very cool idea but I found it a bit fidgetty to build stuff.
