The cover art looks great. Looking forward to playing!

The cover art looks great. Looking forward to playing!
Cover is fantastic. Totally would give the art a 5
The gameplay is too simple. The art is fantastic though! Would like to see what other games you will make
I'll say, the gameplay is too simple. Great art however.
Whoa, nice art! :O
@lamossus @cepeka thanks for your comments, guys! I'm glad you like the art! As for the gameplay - we'll try to vary it. We were intended to make more type of pasenngers, but sadly, I can't draw faster than this :) And we want to add different type of missions and endless mode. :)
@daria-s you did the art alone, right? It's really great! I especially liked the playable character. Amazing job to have done it in the time!
Apart from the graphics I did like the different abilities and everything. Your game is fun. I just gave it a second try and won. Yay. I wouldn't play it again, as the mechanics don't allow for a lot of variations and it would get boring soon. But as it is it's a nice ld game!
@kristov @croben thank you! game is ready, you can try it! :)
**Awesome Art**
It fits the theme pretty well and I like the idea. Wish the gameplay had something else but for a 3 day game this is insane. Congratz on you both!
dsdsds.png
@ente thank you! yes, I did all the art and that was hard :D As for the gameplay - we'll try to improve it! I forget to mention in previous comment, we also wanted to make skills upgradebale :)
@thomas-lessa thank you! Yeah that was really insane, and adding effects and sounds also took a lot of time... We'll try to improve the gameplay :)
First, the graphics are great! Sound works really well with the game as well. Seems like a pretty accurate train riding sim.
I liked this game! The art is amazing! We both had train games with very different takes! Good job!
Interesting concept, fun game and great artwork, congrats!
Really like your character design well done.
I think there's a bug in the website --- won't let me rate 6 on graphics
@jeremy-ryan thank you a lot! :)
@kristov @miggyg @ja-viera @mr-icing thank you all, guys! I'll try to check out all of your games a bit later, after I catch up with my work and life in general after these three days :)
Hilarious!
Fantastic art, really weird concept, somewhat confusing gameplay. I enjoyed this but it still felt a little shallow, a few more mechanics, or perhaps a bit more 'juice' would really make this game shine. Other than that the art is some of the best I've seen so far, and you did something unique with the theme so well done!
Darn, girl! This art is worth a month of work! Incredible! Also, interesting interpretation of the theme.
The final fanfare was unexpected and kinda ruined the mood. But you know, it doesn't really matter. =)
@historymaker118 thank you for your feedback! I'm really glad you liked the art :) Could you please tell us what was confusing for you? We're planning to do some sort of tutorial in the future. Or maybe some skills didn't work correctly?
@yngvarr I'm really glad you guys like art this much, I was really working hard and I'm happy it turned out well :) We'll discsuss the final sound effects again, thank you :) It was the last like 4 or 5 hours of those three days, maybe that's why the fanfares and the sad trombone for losing seemed like a good idea to us :D
The art is really nice, thankfully you gave the explanation of the differents passengers because i wouldn have understand otherwise. Other thant that like the concept a lot ^^
@metalbrasier2x0 thank you! Yeah, sadly we didn't have time to make any kind of a tutorial or hints in the game, so I tried to explain gameplay in the description :)
Nice game! The art is pretty dope and the theme fits perfectly well as does the music. The explanation was much appreciated though some kind of picture actually before the game started could have worked too.
Great job!
Great game from the great team! I like everything in this game! Make it on Android please!! )))
Can confirm, riding the train is exactly like this. I've never thought about screaming though. Amazing art. Had a hard time figuring out the proper strategy for the game. Probably just need to play it several more times. I still have no idea what the "X" in the upper right corner does. Good music/SFX!
@scott-steffes thank you! :) The X button is just a close button for the desktop version, so I guess it does nothing in the web version and we should just remove it there, oops :D
@rightearphone thaaank you!)
@jsd thank you for playing our game and for the feedback! :)
omg the art style is amazing, so good, nice work, wish I could rate art above 5*
@djlink thank you very much! :)
As everyone else is saying, the art is super good! Nice incorporation of the sound effects too, they work really well :)
Really nice entry, bit depressive and dark, but surely daily users of subway can relate to that pretty easily. Good job. Art is amazing!
Incredible art with gorgeous character designs and a really cool skill set for the player! The varied responses of the passengers made it really fun. Love the small details in the artwork such as 666 on the train and the background of the train when you use the burst of rage skill! Amazing work!!
Hahahahah, fun fun game. And the horror mode rocks! :D
@ana @jin9310 @mikixen thank you guys a lot for playing and your feedback :) @jin9310 we weren't really aiming for darkness... maybe just a liiiitle bit :D
@kamilko thank you! we were really trying to make using this skill looks interesting by the SFX and sounds :)
Nailed it! Win on the first try! Nice game buddy! Simple gameplay, maybe a bit too simple, but one ride was fun as hell. Awesome job on the graphics and the music! ^_^

Yay, I won! I don't agree that the gameplay is too simple, personally I found it engaging, albeit it could certainly earn something from a bigger strategic depth. I'm absolutely in love with your use of color in the game.
I also don't know why, but the guy screaming in the subway made me laugh out loud every time.
I really like this entry, well done!
Nailed it! Win on the first try! Nice game buddy! Simple gameplay, maybe a bit too simple, but one ride was fun as hell. Awesome job on the graphics and the music! ^_^

Urgh... sorry for the spam, my browser went funky for some reason :(
@guladam oh wow what a glitch! :D Thank you for playing and your feedback! Glad you liked it :)
@fullmontis thank you so much! :) We had fun working with sounds too! :)
cool!
I confirm, an endless mode could be fun. Nice work on graphics, simple gameplay but i'm sure you already have in mind many ways to agment it. ;).
This is awesome!! The idea, the reaction of surrounding people. It took some time to understand the strategy, but this is awesome!
@leom thank you! yes, definitely :)
Ahahah, funny little game with great art and sound ! The expression of a subway trauma ? I loved the mood and farting in the car !
Subway.png
@marcenkod thank you! yes, we're thinking about adding npcs in the gameplay like one by one and explaining about them :)
@yami-no-tenshi-8 not really a trauma but we thought almost everyone was at least once in similar situation :D thank you! :)
Wow. The mood of the game is awesome. The art is really cool. If you will add upgrades(some day in the future) - share me a link, I will play for sure.
Fantastic art, feels very polished and on top! I agree with others that gameplay could get an improvement, but you can be proud of what you've created in 3 days. Would fit perfectly for an app :) Our game has a similar take on the jam theme, that's why we were especially interested in your game.
@l-s thank you! I will! :)
@matzetoni thank you for playing and for your feedback! I will try your game too, the idea definitely seems similar to ours, really interested to check out the differences :)
Love the painting! Like the idea too, though the gameplay might be a little too simple
@kjetil thank you! yes, we'll try to improve the gameplay :)
The art is awesome, I truly love it. As a person who mainly commutes by metros, I relate. I will try shouting on my next trip. It was hard to remember the effect of character types though. The gameplay is fun but gets a little repetitive after some time though. The sound effect and music is nice but I think it needs some metro ambience. Fun game overall and it has some nice potential.
@yetman thank you! Actually we had the crowd rumbling sound, but I don't remember, if it's in the game and we just can't hear because of the music, or we forgot to add it.. Also we intended train to arrive and leave in the end with sounds, but we didn't have the time :) so we'll definetily will polish it, sounds too :) Thank you for your feeedback!
The artwork was very well done! A good slow paced management game wher to time the use of your abilities. Very creepy main character, only made even creepier by the ultimate move. The gameplay was a bit slow paced, but if you can manage the timing of the use of your moves you can make it. Although, how slow paced it was made it a little annnoying for someone like me without the patience XD But I acknowledge it was a very done game!
Beautiful artwork. Did you draw all of it during the jam? Anyway 5* well done.
Visual is just amazing! Very good job! Gameplay is nice, but I agree with Kjetil it's too simple. I understand that it is LD but I'd like to see this game with more mechanics because it looks awesome!:)
@reax thank you! Yes, all the art was made by me in three days :)
@ljay thank you! I really hope we would be able to make the full game out of the prototype :)
I liked this one. The graphics are really well made and as both a pixel and non-pixel artist I can tell just how much time and effort has gone into them and it's really quite impressive for a gamejam entry. The music and sound was also good. I think the gameplay has potential. The idea of timing your moves so they are most effective against the different types of people incoming is a good one and I liked your execution. I can't really suggest much other than adding more depth and content to it. I also feel like this would work better as an arcade game where the goal is to survive as long as possible rather than as a game with a set goal. Other than that, good work!
@shell-pirate thank you for your feedback! :) I'm glad you liked the art, I really did the most I could and a bit more :) We intended to make endless mode and also I think different stations with a different set of npcs would be nice (like the University station, so the number of students would be increased, or like the Airport, so there would be a lot of passengers with luggage).
as an artist i must say I LOVE with the art of this game. absolutely perfect! the character designs and the atmosphere. it was a really great game to play and so distressing sometime XD really love the concept and the gameplay. great job guys!
@athena-av thank you! I'm really glad you as a fellow artist liked my art! I was trying really hard :) Thank you for playing and your feedback! :)
Very well done. Only two points: - I couldn't rate for audio (would've liked to rate high if you guys made all audio files yourselves) - I wouldn't have minded less detailed character sprites if they were animated (even 8 fps would've been plenty)
@king-kujito thank you for your feedback! We opt the audio out because we haven't record sounds ourselves, we have found all the sounds on online free sound library. As for animation - i never did an animation before and I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be able to do anything decent in three days anyway :) Later we'll try to figure something out about it :)
A nice jam game! The difficulty is well balanced. The art is great. The music is a bit repetitive, tho.
Neat game. Looks awesome and plays smoothly. One minor improvement suggestion would be to slightly change the color of the buttons for the abilities depending on wether they are usable or not. That would make it easier to see at a glance wether you can use them or not. I founs it sometimes difficult to tell based on the percentage loaded.
But overall very well done.
@djeycreations thank you! We'll keep that in mind for the future improvements :)
@mr-madcat thank you :) yes, that's a good idea! I thought the dark part would help to see the difference, but yeah, when it's really small I guess it's hard to tell :)
@daria-s We've finished Part 1 of our Play and Rate video for Ludum Dare 42, and we've added it per your response. Check it out! https://youtu.be/vuUp1EYEiuA (The video may be uploading for a little while. If so, check back after a day or so)
Wow, art is incredible! I really enjoyed looking at it!
The level of the game was really fun! I would totally keep playing if there were more levels with additional challenges.
@matank thank you! I really hope we'll make a full game of it :)
The gameplay is simple enough to understand and can make the main idea interesting! And i made a game about crowded subway too.Looks like many people are suffering from the crowded subway hah
Very nice art and sounds. The scream was really effective. The gameplay was a bit simple. I kind of just spammed the abilities whenever they were available and eventually won!
@wxzuir thank you! yeah I guess so :D I'm gonna check your game too! :)
@strega thank you :) Maybe our balance is bit off :) Or maybe you're just lucky :D
I really like your take on the theme! Also as a fellow artist I love the painting style and colors. A bit of trial and error at the beginning to figure out the different enemies and their "weaknesses" but I found the idea very clever. Would love to see an update in the future with more challenges :)
@kinsei thank you! :) I think more npcs would be interesting too :)
Very fun game with great graphics
@koala-squad I watched the video, thank you for playing and including us! I am not a native english-speaking person, so I guess there's a lot of mistakes in description, I'm sorry :)
Beautiful art, very nice eye catching :) the gameplay is very simple, but I didn't see any bug or incoherence, I guess it is a solid show-off! :) Well done on your entry, it is a beautiful work !
@corbak thank you! :)
What a unique concept! Really good use of the theme. And the graphics are absolutely beautiful, very nice style
Amazing art and really funny concept ... killing everyone is quite satisfying
@kmce thank you! :) Didn't really like the theme at first, because it's too wide. Our game for LD40 could fit it too :) It was about spaceship passengers who go mad when it's many of them because of the stress and kill each other :D
@velvetlobster thank you! I think you're the first person who said so :D I've watched streamers playing our game and they were like "Wow he's a bad guy! Nooo!" :D
@daria-s I think the killing part is definitely the best lolol.
The mechanics are pretty basic, but I think there's a lot of potential to add more complex interactions that require player skill. The mood and art is fantastic! Using the burst of rage was such an intense mood, I loved it.
@wesxdz thank you for your feedback! yes, we'll try to improve the gameplay later :) right now our coder is on her well-earned vacation :D
A strange management game in a sense, with some really, really excellent art and quite odd premiss. Different, yet simple. I like it! Also managed to beat it  Do like that you made the timer go DOWN instead of making this an endless challenge, I like when games actually have a "real" end, even if it's a simple one.
It took a while for me to understand the relation between the skills and the passengers (what's good against what, what they do etc.), but I actually managed to figured-out myself while playing (the only thing I missed what that the big guy pushed you more then the others). That's very good! You can't always rely on a player actually always reading or checking a tutorial, so having a strong visual logic is very important and I think you nailed it with the character designs.
At first I was rather sceptical if there even was any tactical way of playing this, as the passengers seem rather random, but after a while I felt it worked. Seeing who is coming and using the correct cooldown at the right moment to get the best possible result was rather satisfying, and there effect and cooldown was well balanced. The ultimate ability a nice "work-towards" bonus goal as well, with a really nice effect, breaking away from the otherwise rather repetitive action pattern, giving the player a bit of respite. However, the feeling of risk losing because of randomness was a bit high, and something you could keep in mind.
That said, there are a few things i missed. While really good looking, a bit more passive movements could have made everything feel a bit less "static" and more alive. An easy way to do this is to add simple "bobbing-tweens" to otherwise static characters to hint on there movement, instead of just sliding and fading them.
Also, the gameplay is what it is, there really is only one best pattern/choice at any given time, and you cant really develop your own play-style. I would have liked if my ability choices actually was not so rigid and instead have a bit of a progression element in the game. A basic thing would be to have a upgrade-system, so I can improve the stats of the abilities, or even let me unlock new ones (I don't necessarily even have to start with all of them at the get-go). Also having a level-progression could have been nice, where passenger types are introduced over time.
Great job overall! Cheers.
@hauo thank you for the such detailed feedback! we're actually intended to work on most of the issues you mention, vary the gameplay, different modes, add more charatcers, maybe new skills, work on the animations :) so I hope we would be able to make something decent out of it :)
The art is amazing, the game is amazing, everything is effing amazing. Congratulations, this is my highest rated game so far!
I'm not saying anything new here, but wow, the visual quality is among the highest I've seen so far. The premise of the game is a funny take on the theme and it works great! Gameplay is simple but engaging, and coupled with the music it creates quite a tense mood as you wait for the next timer to let you gain some space while building up to the rage button to fill and add a gory, hilarious icing on the cake.
Awesome entry, congrats!
The art for this is incredible (but you knew that). The characters were all great and interesting in their designs. The buttons for your abilities all looked nice and they totally fit right into the side of the train car. The countdown clock looked a tad out of place as a result (mostly just because the ability buttons fit so well with the environment). The little things like having the line of passengers alternate between foreground and background as they moved was a nice touch.
I found it a little odd that the game happens in increments (like the passengers move every 2 seconds or whatever), but that your abilities activated in real time. It made it feel a bit bad to use your abilities a soon as other passengers were in range. You wanted to use it right before they acted, but it was hard to know when exactly that would be. It was also a bit tough to tell when the other passengers were quite close enough to you. Like could I wait for them to move once more before they pushed me or not? I'm not 100% sure how I would suggest fixing those issues. You would click the ability to queue it up, then it would fire when the passengers move next, not immediately. Possibly your abilities would cooldown at the same time as the passengers move. So when they move, the circle icon would fill in one quarter at a time instead of continuously filling in the circle. This wouldn't actually affect the game, if it took 6 seconds for the cooldown before, it still would take 6 seconds, which would be about 3 turns (if turns between passengers move is 2 seconds). That's a lot of text and would be a lot of effort to implement for a probably very small benefit. As for knowing when they will push you out, maybe have the the characters change to a slightly different pushing sprite when they are going to push you next turn?
I did find the different abilities you could use quite interesting. They seem to be fairly well-balanced in my playthrough. I was pretty much using them as soon as they came off cooldown and I would just barely get an ability back just in time to get rid of some passengers and not get pushed out of the train. So the tight cooldowns definitely kept the game pacing up and kept it quite frantic. The ultimate ability was fun to use once I go there. i thought it was pretty funny when I used it. It's also a very nice touch how the ultimate ability changes the train after you use it and how those effects stick around for the end of the game.
I appreciate how short the game is. The art is phenomenal. The X button doesn't work. I love the concept and mechanics, and wish it will be longer/ramps up in difficulty post-dare (eg. after the timer ends, you get off where you want to go and take a transfer bus). I also like the hints that you're a demon and how you low-key kill everyone on a rage. Great entry!
Fantastic!
@ithildin @yojammerjammer @rayne @jerripo thank you, guys! @jerripo I guess the X button doesn't work in the web version (it closes the game in the desktop version), we should just remove it :)
@solrun thank you for playing and feedback! You brought up the important issue about the passengers increment movement, I've been thinking about it too. To make skills cooldown incrementally is a one way to do it, but I'm afraid if the game whould seem too mechanical, like really turn-based? I was thinking about solving it from the other side, by making their movememts smooth, so all the game would be in real-time. But I guess it's not the best way to do it... Well anyway, we will discuss it and we'll try to somehow resolve it :) Oh, also I wanted to ask, didn't the blood on the walls disappear? It should fade away in three seconds or so, if it stayed until the end of the game, it must be a bug :(
@daria-s I think the passengers' incremental movement gives the game a sort of rhythm that keeps the pace of the game moving along and the tension up. I wonder if a part of that would be lost if it was fully real time? Just something else to consider. The incremental nature also lends well towards the static sprites. Having them stop and start like that makes it seem like the characters are taking steps even if the art doesn't change. If they moved in real time, it could just look like they were just sliding. You've already done a nice job of making them smoothly move from point to point so maybe you could make them move in real time nicely too.
I'm pretty sure most of the effects when I used the ultimate ability faded away, but it left some stuff in the background. Stuff like the text graffiti seemed to stay I think.
@solrun we would add animations, yes :) we're planning on adding them anyway. Yeah, we will think about all that.
Oh, the graffity was there from the beginning :)
The graphics are awesome. Technically all works! The gameplay fits with the theme, but unfortunately I had not much fun on this game when I was playing it, maybe because it's not difficult enough? I don't know, but in three days I think it's a great job, though. Don't hesitate to have a look at our game too, if you have time ;)
@alex-brull Thank you! We'll try to make the game more interesting after the ludum dare. I'll check your game too! I liked the cover :)
Awesome game. I was pleasantly suprised with the overall mood of the game. Hope you develop a post jam version for this!
@zicboy thank you! I do hope so too :)
Great game, it's simple yet well polished. Graphics and sounds are nice. It fit very nice with the theme.
@amba thank you! :)
I like everything ! The graphics are awesome ! The mood is good, the ways to take back people are really interesting (really like to stink on them and kill them !), and the sound design is great ! It's difficult to see when we are near to be outside the subway but it's a good way to us stress ! A really good job ! (I really like you art style ! Really !)
I change my comment, I just play again and I see gauge which indicate where we are on the subway ! My mistake ! And I think at something, maybe you run out of time and you know it but maybe a menu when the game start with the same explanations that you give on the page would be good. To understand the game and its goal, and to avoid sudden start of the game.
@lu7cie thank you for playing and your feedback! :) Yes, I agree, we need to add some kind of tutorial, we will add it in the post-jam version of the game :)
The art is incredible for such a short jam. Damn! There's room for expansion in terms of gameplay (you could even reuse the art in a much bigger game). It fits the theme well and is full of character. Well done!
@jamesolivermusic thank you! yeah I think we'll reuse the art and add some new characters :)
The art is very nice, loved the shrouded in darkness protagonist. I also liked the gameplay but it felt a bit simple and unclear. I know you explain above what move effects which passengers but it's not really fun memorizing all this stuff. I think you just need to think of a way to make this more clear visually and then it's a good game. Good job!
@shakedimus Thank you! Glad you liked the art :) To be honest, I hoped it would be visually understandable, like the Big guy is big and the Lady has a suitcase with her, so that's why they take a lot of room and push you even shrinked :) And the same with the Granny and the Student - the Granny can't hear well because she's old, and the student wears the headphones (I intended to make them big, but again, lack of time led to what we have now). I guess I wasn't good at that and text hints would help better :)
The concept of the game is funny and quit original but quickly, it becomes repetitive. The mood of the game with the art and the music is really cool.
Fantastic art and music. A great use of the theme! Gameplay is not bad, has some fun elements regarding when to use what. Overall fantastic work!! Extremely solid entry!
@namnam @jordantanner thank you for your feedback, guys :)
