LD42 — Running out of space

Running from ⭐⭐Space⭐⭐ by sobakaduka 2018-08-16T10:50:49Z

Graphics are good, nonetheless I found it quite hard to actually land anywhere to reload so I just had to run all the way to the end.

Also, while raycasting is useful and all that, I wouldn't really use a line renderer for the gun shoot. Add a muzzle effect instead with particles, it'll probably look much better.

Good job.

Running from ⭐⭐Space⭐⭐ by sobakaduka 2018-08-16T17:13:55Z

@sobakaduka really? I might have to check again, but I just saw a huge line render coming out of the gun. Anyway, good job

Flesh Packer by nervous-composers 2018-08-17T15:28:03Z

Well, it was kind of a weird plot but I liked it xD

There is Never Enough Space!!! by Jamie Rollo 2018-08-14T14:34:09Z

Nice graphics and music, really dig that retro style, reminded me of SNES graphics. Second mini game had me a bit lost with so little time but I was able to complete it.

By the way, it's the twitter one bugged or you can just put whatever? I went with something along the lines of "Thankyou playing my" and it worked xP

Disco Lovers by Hishicorne 2018-08-15T08:44:13Z

Game was interesting though I have run into some issues:

There was no sound or visual feedback besides the actual messages telling me to build stuff so I was kind of lost there and eventually got one of the two endings, don't know which one though. When I read the title I expected some kind of groovy music so it's a shame you run out of time to do something about it. Also you could build pretty much anywhere so I was kind of expecting a limitation for that.

The idea was good and I get how it fits the theme. The graphics were really nice too and I liked most of the interface and how it was designed.

If you keep on working on the game I would certainly love to see more of it :)

Plug And Shoot by Hagge 2018-08-15T10:57:34Z

Good game!

Got some comments though: - While the music wasn't a bad tune there was no feeling of pressure and just seemed to peaceful, it got a bit annoying for me

- The text did some weird rescaling when appearing in the text at the start and at the stage results

- The game was too easy. Sure you are not gonna start with a whole horde right from the start, but something more difficult would have been great. It just seemed like it dragged on for a while till day 8 or 9 that things started to get more challenging.

Rainforest by SimoGecko 2018-08-17T09:37:29Z

Awesome graphics but sadly when I tried to play the web version it was really laggy. Windows was ok so I was able to enjoy it.

Great job!

Prog-Jet vs Guardians by Bismark 2018-08-15T12:50:13Z

I've never been a fan of the movie but I've certainly know of this scene from it.

There was a bit of a lag somehow (camera and inputs?) so that's a shame. Also it would have been great if the speed increased with time or something. Also, check out the canvas elements, they overlapped in the webgl build and couldn't really know if they were charged or not :\

Dear Leader's Diet Plan by Historymaker118 2018-08-16T07:26:17Z

Took me a bit to get used to the controls but it was a fun game after all xD Loved the korean background sounds and effect xP Good job!

Nice idea and good presentation.

You might wanna check out the colisions too

Dirty Duty by grahhhhhhhhh 2018-08-16T09:43:22Z

Fun game, I like the idea of having to shit everywhere without the owner noticing it xD

Bunny Bazooka by MZA 2018-08-15T09:53:25Z

Liked it and played for a while. Maybe the screen shake was too much though and I think I found a bug. If you don't press the keys in the start in the correct order the game won't start even after pressing everything.

Good job!

The Subway: horror within by Bibilega 2018-08-14T20:19:44Z

Nice game! The art is pretty dope and the theme fits perfectly well as does the music. The explanation was much appreciated though some kind of picture actually before the game started could have worked too.

Great job!

TCGD AntiVirus '98 by Allen Oliver 2018-08-15T13:41:52Z

Loved it. The aesthetics are great, it totally feels like something from Windows 98 xD

No Escape by JSD 2018-08-14T08:12:56Z

@illabom @beanslasher sorry about that, seems I actually forgot to set the itch page as public. Don't really use it much so I didn't notice. I just went back and fixed it. It should be visible right now. Thanks for telling me :)

No Escape by JSD 2018-08-14T20:22:15Z

@heidi thanks! I tried to go with a goofy kind of graffiti font and that one kind of worked being CC0 and all that but yeah, the Es and some other letter were a bit weird so I'll keep an eye out for something better in the future :)

No Escape by JSD 2018-08-15T05:45:39Z

Thanks @korso ! I'll definetly will look into that. I run out of time so I had to go for the standard cinemachine settings regarding camera controls. Actually moving the character properly while aiming turned out to be a huge pain in the ass since it messed up animations and stuff so I had to sacrifice that feature and couldn't look for a proper shader or try to implement something.

Hi there @grahhhhhhhhh . A good/decent score would be around 3000 or so since it's what I get most of the time. Melee guys (cops in black) are the ones you really need to watch out for, they are basically there to overwhelm you and letting them go basically means game over for you (you can still run in circles and try to shoot them once they get close enough to you to hit you ;) ) Since the idea I had in mind was something like Cabal/blood bros ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DOH_D_DE9IA ) + some TPS touches and 3D, looking around was something I sacrificed. I'll probably work on the game some more and plan to actually do a TPS variant with a bigger city and stuff once I get the time.

Glad you like it @bismark . Sadly Xbox controllers are not supported ( I don't own an Xbox or a controller, only a PS4 so that's what I got to work with ) as the right stick axis are not the same as the DS4 on Unity.

Hi @guardhei just like I explained to @grahhhhhhhhh sadly looking around was something that did not fit what I wanted to do but I'll probably work on a full TPS with this as a base at some point :) I added the music to the game page since it's CC and I forgot to name the author so you can just check out his page at freemusicarchive and grab what you want

Wololo @matu glad you like it!

Thanks to everyone that played it and if you feel like doing it again go ahead and post you highscore, try to beat mine, if you can... xD

Cheers!

No Escape by JSD 2018-08-15T10:29:02Z

@mza thanks for playing and the comments.

As for the joystick... let me guess, Xbox controller? Uses different axis for the right stick than the PS4 one so there's nothing I can do to fix that. Besides I don't own an Xbox controller so I wouldn't be able to test it and just work with what I have. I now I'm in a minority here, but I don't use an Xbox controller, never have for playing games so I don't really own one that I can use for programming :(

No Escape by JSD 2018-08-16T17:12:17Z

@rustymonky @deniskazantsev @historymaker118 thank you for playing!

@historymaker118 well, you are trapped, surrounded by the police and you are running out of cover and places to hide, that's how you are "running out of space", space to hide, of course xD

No Escape by JSD 2018-08-20T05:55:56Z

@raccoon-js @zicboy @anubhav-kashyap @saoi-games thanks for playing!

@saoi-games I can see you ran into a common issue, using an Xbox controller instead of a DS4. I don't have an Xbox one so there's nothing I can do to actually add support, especially since right stick works completly different. Sadly I run out of time to implement controller support for the main menu properly. The right click was so you wouldn't skip the game over screen easily. I tried to implement the theme with the covers, which eventually get destroyed so you run out of space to hide and run away.

It's a highscore game so there's no actual end to it. The main gameplay concept it's basically taken from Cabal/Blood Bros, old arcade games

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ri5c07MTXu8

Just wanted to point out this :) Oh, and the animations are all taken from the mixamo website, I fact it's written under the dancing animation xP

Cheers!

Demonic Digestion by DodoIta 2018-08-16T10:36:16Z

Great game! Music and ambience are great and ain't those little black things like the yokai from Chihiro?

Awesome job and great presentation!

SunnyLand by soumitra.shewale 2018-08-15T14:19:07Z

Beautiful game. The pixel art was great.

Just two things: probably an indication of when the level ends would have been great, right now it's kind of abrupt and also it seems like the character sprite loses focus and the quality goes down sometimes when it moves for no real reason.

Great job!

Zlinx by frontlinesaint 2018-08-17T15:35:27Z

Game looks good but the learning curve is not the best one out there and keeps it from fully enjoying it. It's okay to have difficult levels, but not right off the bat, it should be somewhat progressive.

Otherwise good job

Elevator Operator by Evan Charfauros 2018-08-15T06:58:38Z

Music was great, gameplay simple yet adicting and graphics were nice too. Overall it feels good so there's nothing that really stood out as bugged or anything.

Good job!

Cluster by Ignacio Zamorano 2018-08-15T06:21:30Z

Awesome game! Art is great and gameplay is simple yet addicting. The guy in the back was hilarious but I didn't really understood what the cloud thing did except show 3 more clouds xP Great job!

Ludum Delivery by Korso 2018-08-14T14:46:10Z

LOVED IT!

Graphics and sound were amazing and gameplay was adicting enough. It perfectly fit the theme too so extra points for that.

See ya at the next "pruebarian" thread in december xD

Fun game and the graphic style is not bad at all

Shelf Life by Grawly 2018-08-15T13:20:23Z

While I did like the game and the overall design and graphic style, I found it too hard to pick up the trophies, well, not hard, frustrating might be better. No matter when I clicked I would almost never get anything then people just kept coming out and screwing everything up :(

Nice game though, found it hard to click on things but overall it seemed like a great entry.

We Have Important Work To Do by Five Side Studios 2018-08-16T11:22:03Z

This was so late 90/early 2000s that I simply love it xDDD

Kind of reminds me of when I had to work in an office as IT xP

LD44 — Your life is currency

The Day Of The Chosen by sahoskins1 2019-05-04T15:25:33Z

Good writting, played all the way till the end a couple of times to try to get the devil dollars. Din't really understand the theme connection at the beginning but it is indeed clear once you actually go through it. Simple but interesting entry :)

PathOfForest by ThiefViolinist 2019-05-04T08:42:07Z

Took me a bit to get used to the resource system and how it actually worked but I liked the idea and how you made a kind of strategy/tower defense system related to the theme. Good job!

Blood 2B Rich by brklipel 2019-05-04T08:48:43Z

Loved it! Had me playing for a while for a clicker game. Good job, keep it up!

Robo Portrait by finalspace 2019-05-04T08:06:42Z

Liked the idea and the overall design as a music game, nonetheless I can't seem to find the relationship with the them though xP

If you got time please check out my game too, thanks! https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/44/lifeline-loot

Super soul wipeout by Korteh 2019-05-05T05:40:32Z

So far the game I've played the most this jam. Loved the way you guys included the theme too and at first didn't even noticed so I died xP

Nonetheless the music loop felt a bit too short and diagonal movement was faster than normal so normal movement felt a bit slow for me, I'm pretty sure you can fix that easily. Good job!

Lifeline Loot by JSD 2019-05-04T14:02:11Z

@t-bo @t-a-c-commandeur thanks for playing! I initially had a lot more stuff in mind but the lack of time this weekend killed me so the game turned out like this though. Would certainly like to had some stuff, like a skateboard bonus I had in mind and refine controls.

Cheers!

A.N.D.Y.R.U.S.exe by Dock Frankenstein 2019-05-04T15:51:15Z

Lack of sound kind of killed it but the setting and the overall story was cool. The math stuff turned out to be a bit of a pain in the ass but oh well... Nice job!

Xochipilli's Trade by Giezi 2019-05-04T15:35:14Z

Found it kind of hard but I did like the graphics and music, even though the sound effects sounded kind of distant to me. Overall a nice entry, good job!

Root Maker by Joe Bustamante 2019-05-04T08:25:55Z

Found it a bit confusing at first but then got the hang of it for a bit. Fits the theme properly and I liked that chilling tune :)

LD41 — Combine 2 Incompatible Genres

Daunting Dungeon by Jiri_One 2018-04-27T17:30:17Z

Game looked great and the background music it's cool. Nonetheless two things that annoyed me: - The beeping sound felt too loud - The controls seemed a bit weird and slow, plying with keyboards would have been way better imo.

Line 'em Up by mao 2018-04-24T18:20:30Z

The screen kind of filled a bit too fast but overall the gameplay feels great. It certainly does a great job as a way to procastinate while doing things on the computer, I could see myself getting hooked. Great job!

No-Brain Jogging by gonutz 2018-04-29T19:10:17Z

Nice idea! Had an issue with avast though as it wouldn't let me play your game and detected it as malware. Anyways, idea is cool and probably the only issue I had was the zombies coming out too fast so my record just ended up being like 12 or something xP

If you've got the time check my game out, I still need a couple of ratings to get to the 20 mark

https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/nanashi

The Legend of Block by maesk 2018-05-02T23:02:55Z

Great mix! The dungeon exploration + tetris theme fit really well. The puzzles were pretty well done as they didn't feel like a chore or were too difficult. The only issue would be the stage 2 bug which looks like you fixed in the webgl version. Really liked the music and graphics too :)

Tennis Defense by kassanu 2018-04-29T19:33:35Z

Nice idea but... - the zombies are the flanks were almost impossible to hit and a lot of time spawned there - control was kind of hard to get used to Other than that maybe some ambient music would have nice but that's okay :)

I also need the ratings so give my game a try if you find the time, thanks :v: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/nanashi

Dice Poker Chicken Battle by digitaldude555 2018-04-29T21:13:57Z

I don't really get what I'm supposed to do but I keept on clicking and training my chicken till I beat a cat with two guns. I liked the art style but the game was kind of confusing though

Dice Poker Chicken Battle by digitaldude555 2018-04-29T22:55:32Z

@digitaldude555 oops, sorry about that. I've got so many tabs open that I completly forgot. I'll just edited out :)

Permadate by lectvs 2018-04-29T21:35:37Z

Really liked the idea! The interface and gameplay mechanics are also great, really dig them. Unluckily I encountered the yandere and beat the crap out of me xD

One More Arm by MaximBegunov 2018-04-24T23:09:00Z

I certainly wasn't expecting this! Great idea and style overall, it feels like a really nice little arcade game and best of all, it's fun!

Unbelievabubble by maximebugman 2018-04-27T17:47:05Z

Awesome! Graphics are cool, and so it's the music, as well as the game mechanics which felt really original. Just had a small issue with the camera when I "died" once, on the part with all the bubbles and you had to go down, it made me respawn somewhere far away and had to wait for the camera to reach that place while moving really slow.

Dating Clicker by Grewoss 2018-04-27T17:22:43Z

@Grewoss Tried to play the game but sadly it says I'm missing a dll, OpenAL32.dll, if you can provide it I'll certainly give it a try (have no idea what that dll is supposed to be for but if it's safe I'll it), I always have a firefox tab with cookie clicker on it xP

Dating Clicker by Grewoss 2018-04-28T12:05:15Z

@Grewoss just played your game, thanks for the .dlls :) Nice mix, there's still some room for improvement like others have said and myabe a bit of rebalance with the prices but overall it's great.

If you have the time please check out my game, need help reaching those 20 ratings :) https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/nanashi

Pinboy-an RPG+ Pinball game by Colleen9416 2018-04-29T20:32:22Z

Funiest game I've played in the jam. That audio is definetly top notch, especially once the epic sax guy started to sound. 5/5 for everything. Worth it.

Skies and Cubes by RAFFE 2018-04-29T02:07:51Z

Just finished your game. I found kind of abrupt the change from 2D to 3D, the graphic change was huge, in fact when I originally read a 2D and 3D game I was actually expecting just a perspective and control change. Leaving that aside I had no problems with the jump besides the cube suddenly rotating and falling upside-down in one of the early platforms which simply sounded weird.

The music was good and the 3D part had a really nice feel to it with all the darkness and such, really liked that.

Great job!

Caves Of Mimicry by MZA 2018-04-29T02:29:35Z

Played for a while. I don't know if it was a bug or not, but it felt that sometimes blocks disappeared for no real reason, I mean, I would click on them when there was no match possible and they would just pop. Also starting from the very bottom made it kind of hard to reach the top parts, starting somewhere in the middle I think it would make it much better :)

Rhythm Overdrive by Diblow 2018-04-26T00:22:48Z

Fun to play, cool graphics and awesome music. A bit on the easy side though but great overall.

Toppen Ultimate Anime Defense by DosWosh 2018-04-29T03:09:23Z

CAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRDDDDD SHUFFLEEEEEEEE!!!! Really great game, loved it, specially the music, totally up my alley. The presentation was just awesome, the voice made it really cool. Also the way you mixed the genres was perfect. A couple of things though: - I didn't get some of the references, other were quite obvious and some way to generic. That ain't bad but I think targetting even more concrete things would make it hilarious. Just adding "chan" to everything doesn't mean anything xD - I finished the mid level and there was no way to return to the main menu besides going to quit. It would be nice to add something here like "press XXXX to return" or whatever. - Removing turrets. I guess this is a feature that you couldn't implement due to time. - Changing views. This would have been great as in the later levels there's way too many enemiesa and you can't see them all with the current normal view. - Easy and long. Too many waves and none too hard.

The game could totally be expanded upon, it would become something totally cool.

Gallica by NikorasuChan 2018-04-24T18:37:30Z

Fast action paced game. I love it. Moving the blocks felt kind of weird at the beginning but once I got over that in the first room with the 2 blocks and 2 knife guys, the game was just really intuitive and easy to keep going. I guess somehow improving that would make it better, something like an animation or a faster movement. Besides that I can't see any major flaws and I get that not having checkpoints was a design decision that I'm totally okay with :)

Btw, if you guys feel like it check out my game, https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/nanashi

Cheers!

Super Slime Slasher Ultra by sebastianscaini 2018-04-27T17:17:29Z

Played the game for a while and it was actually fun. The voice over was also really cool, it added a lot to the already fantastic game. The only thing I wished the game had is autofire, I was playing with a DS4 so my finger got tired after a while (then there's also the fact that since DS4 are not like xbox controllers, I had to remap the right stick but that's just Sony's fault as I had a similar problem in my game). Here's my highscore: Captura.PNG

Great work! Also, check out my game if you've got the time, I certainly could use all the advice I can get.

https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/nanashi

Thanks :)

Last Girl On Earth by Reality Blind 2018-04-26T16:52:42Z

Just tried your game on mobile and it run flawlessly. Really simple to play and fun! If I had yo point something out would be the "love gain" you get from picking up what your girlfriend wants, feels a bit low but anyway I made it all the way to wave 3 and I have no plans to remove the game from my cellphone :)

Dancemazing by MariosManiatis 2018-04-29T19:27:17Z

Liked the game. If I had to point something out would be the ambience. Game looked too colorful for a horror game, but besides that everything was ok.

Bomb In Rhythm by finalspace 2018-04-26T00:01:19Z

Great aesthetics and awesome piano music. The art felt gorgeus and I just loved the way you made that "health bar". I kind of noticed the bombs dissapering sometimes in midair so I don't know of that's a bug or if's supposed to work like that. Great job, would certainly be awesome on Android and IOS

On The Fly by qkjosh 2018-04-29T20:49:52Z

Beautiful game all over. The dating part seemed kind of simple but since it was really relaxing it was okay. I did encounter once that the dating question just disappeared without answering so maybe that's a bug but besides that everything was gorgeus and really well done.

If you've got the time please give my game a try, thanks! https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/nanashi

Split-Minded by FarawayVision 2018-04-24T22:56:41Z

Wow, huge load of content you guys put in there. I still got to finish it but I'm getting hooked!

Nanashi by JSD 2018-04-24T02:11:48Z

Noticed some stuff not working properly in the build after playing it again, such as enemies not going the right way and the music not looping. Anyway, got that fixed, not really an important change but the perfectionist in me made me recompile it. Also just added a linux build. Cheers!

Nanashi by JSD 2018-04-24T12:23:29Z

@mao thanks for playing the game!

Glad you like the graphical style and thanks for the comments. There's still surely room for improvement and I still got ways too go regarding level designing and game flow. The slidey controls were made conciously so the player doesn't go crazy and actually pays more attention to the bullets and everything else on the stage. Will keep it in mind though, probably not the best choice so once the jam is over I might take that out and make it more standard. Also glad you liked the boss fight! It kind of just pop up into my mind after finishing the breakout stage and thought I would add some "tetris" bit in there to keep the whole multiple gameplays going. There's a physics bug with it though but that just makes it more random and I actually I liked the way it turned out so decided to consider it a feature xD

Again, thanks for playing the game, will check out you game once I get back home from work. Cheers!

Nanashi by JSD 2018-04-24T18:06:32Z

@MaximBegunov I think I get what you mean. For me they seem intuitive since I did them myself so I had no problems like that. I guess I could add:

a) a small picture to the post to actually explain how the controls go

or

b) (and I'm not sure about this since it might go against the rules since it's not exactly a port or a bug fix so if somebody knows for sure I'll do it) I could simply reset the camera which is the one with the actual rotation and change the whole world layout so the game looks the same but controls might prove more intuitive. Also I could take the friction away but that was mostly something I decided to add to the game, not an actual side effect of things.

I could also do b) and post it in gamejolt as a different version to leave it out of the jam, something that I'll eventually do to add all the sound effects I couldn't.

Anyway, thanks for the feedback, I'll definitely keep it in mind since you don't seem to be the only one telling me about it.

Thanks for playing!!!

Btw, finally got back from work so it's time to finally give a try to all of these games :)

Nanashi by JSD 2018-04-24T22:20:27Z

@jsd actually I just pushed a minor patch fixing some controller issues and UI screen resizing so I went ahead and also compiled the alternative controls version and uploaded to gamejolt ;) Give it a second try and tell me how you feel about it. Personally I'm so used to the rotated controls that I'm too bad at it xD

Nanashi by JSD 2018-04-24T22:58:18Z

@Gonz0 yeah, I kind of added them because why not but certainly this is a genre to be played with a gamepad after all. If you manage to get a hold of one give it a try and tell me about it :v:

Nanashi by JSD 2018-04-26T09:34:38Z

@Iaaac thanks for playing :)

I'm getting told that a lot so I went ahead and tweaked them a bit in the "alternate" version though, mostly to take out the 45° rotation

Nanashi by JSD 2018-04-26T18:37:49Z

@Reality Blind thanks for playing it! I thought I had already fixed the looping music but whatever, I can fix that later, shouldn't take me more than a couple minutes. Don't worry about sounding harsh cause it's not, I participated in the jam mostly as a way to improve and have fun so knowing what people think I should improve and what not is a huge help! In the alternative non-jam build I have up at gamejolt I tried to fixed a bit of the inertia which I must recon it might have been too much and should have spent more time testing. Give that a try if you wish and tell me if I should tone it down even more.

I certainly wanna expand the game after I finish what I was working on till now so luckily that'll be soon enough and I might be able to add more challenges to play.

Thanks for testing it!

Nanashi by JSD 2018-04-27T07:44:50Z

@MZA thanks for trying out my game!

I was actually planning to add mouse control but run out of time though, but definetely is gonna be something I start working on next week or so. Right now I'm checking out some level ideas and plan to try the 2018.2 beta to test the new Input system with the runtime remapping options. Add a couple of menus here and there and planning out a better presentation.

@Chikoness @Eudes Franco @paddywhq @digitaldude555 Thank you guys for playing it and you comments. I've already taken note of the problems with controls and certainly they needed more testing and somebody else to try them out too so I'll keep that in mind for the next jam as well. I've already tried to address this issue in an alternative build and I play to go into more deepness as I try the new Unity 2018.2b with the new control layout so I can create an option menu with a control mapper and the likes.

@digitaldude555 "As everyone said controls, the most frustrating controls I have ever encountered on ludum dare" I think I'm feeling kind of honored or something xDDDD And yes I totally understand your vote and it's the main reason why I uploaded an alternative version instead of cheating and replacing the jam submitted version so I'm totally ok with that. I just want everyone's honest opinion so I can improve myself and so that I can improve the game itself.

Cheers everyone!

@Jezzamon I'll certainly take that into account. Gamejolt seemed like a nice place and I like the interface and such but I'm seeing most people use itch.io and the custom site that let's you set up. So I'll definetely be uploading there next time :)

@Jezzamon @caterein @gustavo.christino @Jupiter_Hadley @maesk thank you guys for playing my game! :)

@gustavo.christino yeah, that's a known issue, it's basically due to collider and the spaceship actually not touching the ground. Will give that a second thought though.

@Jupiter_Hadley thanks! Watched the video and saw you struggling with the controls. Couldn't add mouse+keyboard controls so it was pretty messed up

@maesk it certainly does seem that way for the controls and balancing. Thanks! (And glad you understood the reference xD )

As soon as I get the time I'll play everybody's games first thing. Thank you!

Death Road to McGamkedonald's by Chikoness 2018-04-29T02:19:37Z

Game certainly has an unique mix of genres! Probably my main complain would be the fuel going down to fast, it makes the riding/driving bits last way too short.

Mojojo by ZakAmana 2018-04-24T19:04:16Z

So when's Mojo 2: Okuma's revenge coming out? I'm wish I could download a binary and keep this for a long time xD

Jet Boy by Harry Light 2018-04-25T23:45:53Z

Game looks great and controls are mostly fine too (took me a while to get used to the jetpack) I found two things that bothered me the most: the screenshake and the music. The first one it just feels like a lot when you get hit, so much that I would pretty much lose all references and get insta-hit almost again. The music while it was cool was too short of a loop so after dying for like the tenth time in the first boss I just started hating that voice. Other than that maybe the character collider felt too big for a danmaku but I get that's okay for the plataforming factor and the first boss felt kind of frustating, specially since the second one was way too easy. Nonetheless I had to keep playing and spent like 40 minutes to make it all the way to the fifth boss so that's awesome. Great job! :D

If you find the time take a look at my game, I could surely use some advice https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/nanashi Thanks!
