OK, I tried it out, was able to complete all 5 (i think I counted right) that was there for now this was better then what I expected, genius, an unique take on the theme, lots of fun and funny and the art was nice as well. This guy is even more of a meme now with those sun glasses and the braking of walls was priceless. Great Work (*´艸`*)

interesting game, definitely unique take on the theme, i love how the level changing, but by bit broken up by the weight of the glorious leader lol, i also love the metal soundtrack, its great, but i also feels a bit out of place since its about korea lol, and also just a side note, that "scream" sfx after each round finish also game over, sounds like "japan" rather than "korea" but its probably just me tho, but overall love it, unique and fun to play :smile:
@ghen cheers for the review, glad you had fun! Also the music is actually a metal reimagining of a North Korean military song which I got from a documentary. Was a lot of fun to work on!

Well it's a really fun game. Humor and mood are very good ! The music got a nice ambiance. Just don't understand exactly the aspect of what is happening on the screen but love the idea. Keep it up !
Now this is quality haha. Surprisingly hard to clear but real fun idea. might suggest you could've added pinball elements to it to whack him even more all over the place. Good job :D
@genmai Pinball is a capitalist game, which our glorious socialist revolutionary songun game bears no similarities! Jk, glad you liked it, and yeah maybe pinball elements might be something to look into!
I'm guessing I won once, and I lost once.... not 100% sure, but it feels good to play. Don't think it's intended to "just spam space" and win though, but the sfx and music is on point. I like the rotating world element of the game, it feels, "good to play" for lack of a better term. As i mentioned earlier, my only issue is with the ending... I'm not 100% sure whats happening.
A unique take on the theme, but I have to say I honestly did not enjoy it. It just wasn't my type of game. I can say that the audio fit well with what you were doing and was well done and the graphics fit well with your idea. It just wasn't my type of game.

Make North Korea Great Again! This was funny. A simple game but very polished. I like the music and sounds a lot. This could be a good clicker game. I agree that adding pinball mechanics would be great. Although I felt a little dizzy with all that screen shaking. Overall, a great and interesting take on the theme!
Funny idea that perfectly fits the theme, and the audio complements it really well! Graphics are also well done. It took me a while to figure out how to actually play the game, and even then it was more of a luck thing to pass the levels then anything else. So controls were lacking a bit in comparison to the other things, but overall great game.

One of the few actually funny games. Just a suggestion for the controls, say that smashing space is a valuable technique.

This game is hilarious, haha. Couldn't get past stage 3 though. Too much weight to get rid of. It's quite fun though. The audio is pretty nice too. Good game!

Great audio, love the font as well and kim with sunglasses is quite funny, gameplay it just seems you spam space to win I gave up around the 3rd level.
The theme combined with the music/sound fx are very fun, but the gameplay was kind of confusing at first and I got stuck pretty hard on one level, mostly because of the not so satisfying mechanic that don't let you bounce everytime you hit spacebar.

Nice game! Had to figure out what to do the first couple of rounds, and I still don't exactly know if I'm doing it right. But the bouncing felt nice, especially in combinations with the sound effects. The presentation is really slick. Also, kudos for the metal soundtrack!

This gets unexpectedly difficult! Pretty enjoyable, controls can be a bit tough to get (ended up just spamming a lot) but it definitely gets the point across. Great use of the theme in every aspect of it! Pretty solid.

This was a unique game in terms of style and mechanics. I liked how polished it looks from the get go. I wasn't entirely sure what to do, or how think I had to get Kim for the level to be passed. Well done on graphics, and the controls were responsive too.

I honestly don't know how to review this. It's funny and comical constantly, feel like the game is a bit too random to be a full game, but honestly, I don't think while you were developing this, you were aiming for gameplay. Tell me if I'm wrong, but you created this to make someone's day. Its more for the humour than it to complete. Great game going back to days where people gamed to have fun, and not to complete. Congrats!
Very funny game ! Not fond of the visuals and didn't really knew how to "properly" play (that is to say, try to win !). The theme however is really silly and fun, and makes this entry cool to play haha ! Nice humor ;)

Pros : - Great mechanic and idea - The music is top-notch - Serviceable graphics make for readable action
Cons : - Controls start off being a little wonky (although it gets beeter once we're used to them) - A clear (numbered) indicator of when we're thin enough would help

The music is brilliant. The premise is bizarre, which is what attracted me to this game. Quibble: the triumph screen goes away a little too quickly.

I like the fact that you dont need to know anything to play this game. By looking at it I figured the controls out. The intro is hillarious and the gameplay is juicy. How many levels are there?
I really liked the style, gfx, sfx and the general wackiness and irreverence. Couldn't figure out how to actually beat it or what the win condition was though! Anyway- fun concept and enjoyed messing with it.=)

Haha the music and the reference to South Korea is hilarious, watch out for if Kim sees your game haha. I can only get to level 2 but it was very fun to play, and I love that the walls break as well. I think the blue thingy is out of place, maybe you can change the color or do something with it to make it feel more belonging :D Otherwise great entry!

I like almost everything about this game, the sound, the rotating stage, the theme and I think the mechanic is fun but in the end I miss some skill or tactic needed to win the game.

Quick-paced game. Was tricky trying to avoid capitalism!
I got a bit confused at first, but I got the hang of it pretty quickly in the end. I find it a bit easy to spam space to get thinner without using the rotation system, that's a bit underused in my opinion. The camera shake was also a bit too strong for me.
Other than that, the game is fun and well executed ! The audio and humor are also top ! Great job !

I figured out the same trick as @fluffy-kaeloky, spamming the space bar. Humor was spot on, kept me chuckling, I love submissions like this, nice!
Funny tone all throughout, from the background colors to the font, to the music, and the insane premise. It reminds me of some great classic flash games.
Great visuals and especially the music! I really enjoy the absurdity of the setting. Couldn't make it past the 2nd stage as Kim kept getting stuck but I'll have another crack at it again.
So not only did you make something hilariously fun but the game also really captures the essence of how hard it is to stick to diet plans and how any gains can be lost just by a few moments of negligence. Truly wonderful ;)
I absolutely love Kim Jong-un related games and this was no exception! (Though I hope you don't get executed by the supreme leader for making this.)
Interesting idea and title page graphics were good. I thought the concept was a unique one, but I didn't think the graphics carried over from what I saw on the title screen. Would have been nice to see it carry through a bit more and maybe make the gameplay a bit more humorous. Unique idea though.

The tone of the game was great throughout. The art and music were nice, and your take on the theme was also fun, but the gameplay seemed a bit repetitive and tedious at times, with not much indicator or reward for your actions. I think with a bit more polish, this game could be awesome!

The game idea is original and well unique if I must say? :) the gameplay felt simple but effective. The graphics are simple but I didn't see any incoherence. Nor any bug. Not sure if the blue things are part of the gameplay because I didn't understand very much how I won. But you made somehting polished and finished for this jam and therefor that is great. You had the audio-visual aesthetic pretty much down for a Jam game (I especially liked the propaganda font and voice sound effects). The gameplay was alright, but I feel this would have worked better as a pinball game or something a bit more dynamic becuase I ended up beating most of the levels by just slamming myself against a single wall repeatedly. Some more unpredictable and wild bouncing around would have made it more fun and challenging. Still good work on the token political entry of the Jam!
When I repeated smashed Kim in a narrow corridor to purge blue dots, I felt efficient. If you continue to develop this, for a while, I didn't recognize when Kim was thin enough to exit. I also wasn't sure if the forks were something I should be dodging.

Nice little game, the audio was good but I think transition wise it could be a little better, like for example the title music could fade out rather than just stopping, I know it's a game jam though and time :)
