Nice, I like playing with sperm (WHAT!?!?)
Gameplay works fine, but it's not too original or engaging.

Nice, I like playing with sperm (WHAT!?!?)
Gameplay works fine, but it's not too original or engaging.
Very nice concept, but it needs a lot more polish. The AI randomly turns around or stands dead still looking at a wall. With a bit more work this can be awesome!
I really liked the shifting levels, and the checkpoints are very well spread out.
Good job!
Superb graphics! It gets a bit boring after 3 minutes, but maybe thats just me ;)
Nice graphics, and an upgrade system is always nice :)
Is it possible to control the turrets?
I didn't really get the gameplay, also "B", "M" and "Q" didn't seem to do anything?
The guy's smile made me smile :)
Nice audio and pixel art!
Gets a bit repetitive, but hey, thats what QTE's are about right?! :D
Damn, this is great, and hard!
The controls are fluid, graphics are cool and the sound is great!
I don't know why i'm dying, but it looks and sounds great!
Very cool concept! Really hard also.
I would like to see a hotkey to end the turn, clicking the button becomes tedious. Very fleshed out, the fog of war is impressive. A bit too slow for my liking.
Very impressive art! Animations fit well with the art too.
Controls are a bit clunky, it isn't als fluid as I would like.
Very good job!
Very nice concept, the hard controls make it unique :)
Good graphics and fitting audio!
It is indeed a simple game, but what you managed to make is pretty nice! I really like the low poly style, and the hummed music :)
But when the snowball gets too big you can't see where you're going, so it would've be nice if the camera moved away from the snowball.
I hope the text is tounge-in-cheek, because I found it rather amusing. Could use more feedback if you are doing it right. Nice concept!
Well done!
A bit hard, but nice mechanics. It got a nice upgrading system, like a real metroidvania should have.
I like the name of the genre ;)
Way too easy, but the graphics and audio are really nice :) Good idea too!
Very nice take on the "cookie-clicker" genre :P
I like the graphics and the upgrades.
Too bad it's way unbalanced.
Very nice graphics, but a bit too random :)
Very fluid movement and nice graphics, good job in the little time you've spent on it.
Next time please add a button to quit the native version of the game :)
I didn't get it at all, sometimes I got it right, sometimes I didn't, but I don't know why. Nice graphics and audio!
Wow, really well made! I saw a blogpost of you were the whole house collapsed, I'm wondering if I can make that happen in this final version :)
Very nice puzzle game! The help button was really needed ;)
Well done, especially the conveyor-belt puzzle mechanic. But the screen is way too big, and it runs pretty slow on my machine.
Very good idea, but poor execution.
You can just spam the space-button and you'll win, because you can't die from the enemies.
If there was put a little bit more time in the jumping mechanic and a health system, this would be awesome :)
p.s. Check your grammar
Very nice idea, but the resetting and randomising of the levels should be taken out. Just work with predetermined pieces every level.
Nice use of the theme! I liked the graphics. Movement was a bit slow for my liking, but maybe that's because of the 1-screen restriction?
Good job overall!
Damn, i've played this for too long. Nice interface!
Very neat idea! The platformer was a bit too simplistic, and the sticking on the walls felt like a glitch, not a feature.
Also it needs some balancing.
But overall good job :)
The song is awesome! The voices remind me of the game Worms ;)
Very nice art style! A bit too simple, i beat it 1st try ;)
I even got 21 points ;)
But this is one of the most addictive games i've played so far, because it has a clear goal, and every try you're closer to that goal of 20 points.
Also: i chuckled when I saw "Jesus take the feels"
I got this error message: "Lost Worlds is damaged and cannot be run".
system: OSX 10.10.1
Also, Mac users don't have to change their security settings, you can right-click (ctrl-click) on the App, and then choose open, that'll bypass the security.
After the fix it works now for mac :)
Very cool concept, smart use of the theme.
The jumping is way too floaty, sometimes it's pure luck if you'll land on an enemy or not.
Holy crap, very well done! Fluid movement, awesome mechanics, good graphics! Nothing bad to say about this!
Pfff its a little bit hard on the eyes, but I like the trippy effect. Also nice gameplay, too bad there are only 2 states. I would really like to play this a bit more fleshed out, and maybe with some sharper textures.
I found the "red stuff" ;)
Good job!
Really hard, crazy effects, nice concept!
GREAT!!!
Very funny voices and great graphics!
The only thing that bothered me was that it was hard to tell how well the steak was done.
Great job!!! :D
Score: 192320
Deaths: 9 :(
Extremely fluid movement! Very well done!
Nice music and tight gameplay
Good job!
I completely agree with Kyatric, he/she pinpointed the exact things I liked and disliked about it.
Good job!
The controls are really unresponsive, it takes a while before it registeres the input. If you fix that this can be a really fun game.
I liked the music and the graphics :)
Epic!
Nice music and voice overs :)
The charging of the bow takes a bit long I think, and the mouse moves a bit slow.
But really well done overall!
I survived 43 seconds :)
I like the art style, the crappyness (sorry) works with the theme.
Game works really well, but I couldn't figure out why I started shaking and my controls reversed.
Very well done!
Nice graphics and music! Cool concept, and it works in a really basic way.
I couldn't jump on the second platform, and I could not make babies in the second generation :(
Awesome! After playing the webversion I downloaded the game, and it plays a lot smoother. Great graphics and nice difficulty-curve!
Well done! I really like the graphics!
Really nice hand drawn graphics!
The gameplay was a bit simple though, it needs more depth.
I LIKE CATS!
Also: Can I lose this game? A bit too simple, but it works :)
Very neat idea!
It is really hard, but it works really well.
Music is a bit annoying though, but since this is a compo-entry you've made it yourself so hats off for that.
Would like to see this with a bit more polish :)
What the hell?
It also looks very polished, with a complete menu with save function and settings and all.
I don't know what to say about this... :D
Nice simple concept, it works really well.
Pro's:
Nice fluid movement, and I like the fact that you can shoot in different directions.
Cons:
The concept is not innovative and the graphics are a bit bland.
I cannot play the web version, because you'll have to include the .unity3D file! Put the .html and .unity3D file in a .zip-file and you're good to go.
Decent job overall.
Couldn't play the native Mac version, probably because my OS is too recent(Yosemite 10.10.1). So I played the web version.
Good ideas, but the fact that you're floating but still are "touching the ground" make it feel weird. I would like to see an indicator when you touch the ground, in the form of a visual icon, or an animation.

Nice graphics!
Jumping is weird, it should be possible to alter your direction when you're in mid-air. Level design is very basic.
Very nice music!
Decent job overall.
The story is a bit shallow and pretentious. Maybe try a more direct approach with writing when there is no time to flesh out the background of the characters.
Voice acting is not very believable, because the son and father have the same voice, and the mother sounds like a teenage girl.
Technical quality of the voice recordings is very good, also the music really fits in.
I don't want to bash your game, you've probably put a lot of hard work in it, but I didn't like it. sorry :(
@eusekerci: There is an highscore to archieve, it is the highscore of the racing-game. Try to go as fast as possible for as long as possible and your score will go up. Just rembember to mash the fart-button ;)
It also saves your highest score, you can see it in the main-menu.
Thanks for the great reactions so far!
For some reason I couldnt shoot :( I played the Web-version since i'm on a mac.
Aha, I couldn't shoot because only one player can shoot at a time :)
The idea is very nice, but the controls are too responsive for the small maze. Next time make the space between the walls a bit bigger maybe?
The graphical style keeps the screen really clear, so your and your enemy's movements are easy to follow.
Well done!
Very Portal-esque, I liked that. But it's to hard to place the items correctly, and the room is very crowded with crap.
Well done overall.
Very nice concept! Next time make a game with only audio, placed in a 3D environment ;)
Good job!
Nice music and fluid movement. I didn't like the big turning angle, I would like to be able to make sharper turns.
I like the fact that you can't control your speed, it makes it a lot more tense, and keeps the controls super-simple.
Good job! :)
Nice concept, really good use of the theme! The graphics are adding to the mood as well.
The gameplay is a bit too basic.
Really great overall! I couldn't play this with someone else, but I get the idea.
Awesome graphics!
This should be released as an online game! :)
First of all the things I didn't like:
- The HUD is falling off the screen, I can only see the edges. I tried playing it in 1280x800, 1400x900 & 1680x1050, but it never fits. You might want to take a look at your Player Settings in Unity, especially the Resolution & Presentation tab. And/or if this is made in Unity 4.6 you might want to check your Canvas and make sure nothing falls off in various resolutions and aspect ratios.
- Somewhere in your code please add:
if (Input.GetKeyDown(Keycode.Escape)){
Application.Quit();
}
So you can close the application with the Esc-key
- I didn't really knew what I was doing, so I just randomly build structures. This was partly because I couldn't see the HUD
I don't want to sound pedantic, your skill-level in Unity might be much higher than mine. Maybe you just didn't add this because of the time constraints ;)
The things I liked:
- Very slick presentation! Smooth animations and nice icons.
- Tooltips! Many games don't add this or do this half-assed. Your tooltips were clear and helpful
- With some more work this can really be a fun game, I would really like to see the fleshed out version!
I would really want to give this another go if these technical difficulties are sorted out.
Great job!!!
Fast paced and really fluid movement! Well done! I didn't mind the simple graphics, the gameplay is good :)
It took a while before I got the "tuning", but it is a very neat game! Nice gameplay and the movement and shooting is decent enough!
Simple, fun and the time limit makes it tense :)
I fulfilled 20 orders, with the last 10 orders with 1 second left.
I like it!
Very funny game! I like the music, models and animations.
Jumping is a bit unresponsive so you die a lot with the idea it's not your fault.
Very nice graphics! I like the low poly style :)
Gameplay and controls are a bit clunky, it doesn't flow well.
The jump is too weak, and sometimes you have to wait too long for a platform to arrive.
Other than that, very well done!!!
Can't play this because the page is not found.
I haven't play this with a friend, but I can see this is a great concept.
Very nice visuals and brooding music. Some small animations would be nice, even if it were only 2 sprites.
Good job!
Great concept, but it moves a bit too slow for my liking.
If this was a bit more fast paced i would play the crap out of this.
Super sweet animations! The artstyle overall is great. Runs a bit slow on my machine though :(
Very nice visuals and audio! It would be nice to see something like a combo multiplier, so it is more satisfying when you kill multiple enemies in a short time.
Sorry, but this has way too much text to my liking. I might be well written, but I lost my interest after a minute or so.
This might be interesting for a small audience, but not for me.
I really like the art though!
Great art! Too bad it doesn't run well in Safari. It slows down quite a bit sometimes so I can't get the timings right.
Fun music also:)
Cool concept, but I can't play it? I can move the yellow outlines, but I guess I have to move the black dots into the green dots? I can't, or don't know how to, move the black dots.
Okay I got the controls now.
I really liked it, but the moving is tedious. Especially when the puzzle is easy and you already know where to move.
I really like the fact that you get smaller when you die, it makes the game easier, so it's somewhat a built in difficulty level.
Fluid movement and animations, very well done, especially for a Canvas game
I don't think limited information is a feature in a fast reaction, hardcore shooter. The game is hard enough as it is.
Really like the disco-cat theme and the music! :)
A bit hard to control, and you've got a lot of health. It would be nice if the player bounces back a bit when you get hit, so there is a chance you fall off the platform.
I really dig the music!
Nice job :)
Great crappy graphics and funny voice over. This is truly a D.I.Y. game :)
Nice music also, it's only to loud in comparison with the voice.
I had fun playing it, and that's what it is about right?
Good job!
This looks AWESOME! Nice music also. But the game is extremely hard, and i'm not sure what i'm doing wrong.
You should put your TheFarmer_Web.html and TheFarmer_Web.unity3d files in one zip file, or in your Public Dropbox folder.
You can't play it with only the .html file!
Wow this is very well made! Extremely detailed.
I liked how the chicks try to fly away when you walk towards them.
Next time try to add a little bit of audio, and a goal to achieve, that way it'll be perfect :D
Also: Winner winner chicken dinner!!!
The platform disappeared sometimes, and sometimes the snowballs rolled of the platform.
It is also extremely hard :D
Technically well made, could use some improvements.
Very nice concept! It starts out easy, but after a while you'll have to plan out your moves.
Great artstyle also!
Very nice art!! The music is also really good. Too bad the gameplay is about replaying it over and over again until you know where the keys are hidden.
Very cool idea, but a bit too random I guess.
The graphics are AWESOME!!!
Extremely well made art and animations! Attacking doesn't seem to work, and I don't get the connection with the theme (if there is any)?
Very nice!
Really tense atmosphere, and not be able to move while looking at your tablet worked really well.
Also the sprint mechanic was really good.
Very good job!!!
A bit simple but it works! I really like the music. Also cool graphics :)
Neat idea! The mouse controls are a bit weird and too sensitive. Nice graphics!
.html file doesn't work for me, also fix the name of the download (it's not a directly playable web-build, it's a download)
Nice idea, the A.I. is a bit stupid though ;)
Also the sword doesn't seem to do anything.
Good idea to improve further :)
Great concept! With a bit more features this could be a really fun game, now it was a bit......boring.
Very nice! Because you have to destroy some molecules there is some strategy involved. I also like the small animations when it grows!
I like the simple idea, it works really well! It makes me really dizzy though ;)
Really nice! For a moment I thought it was another "artsy" game without any gameplay, but then I realised the credits were the game :D
Very nice music!
Great graphics! But the camera angle is a bit weird so you can't really see the depth very well.
This looks very polished, the gameplay and level design need a bit more work though :)
Main-menu music was funny but the game didn't have much gameplay or anything really.
Very funny! I like how the people spin out of control and explode when they hit the ground :D
Nice tension building. A bit slow for my liking though ;)
A bit too simple, but nice idea. Didn't see the shadow in the web you said you added though, that would make it a lot easier to see the depth.
Very well done!
Graphics and music are cool, and fit together really well.
It gets really hard really fast, but you can only blame yourself because the control is solid
Music is nice, but the graphics are very incoherent. Also i'd rather see simple boxes than stick figures.
Explosion audio could have a lot more impact(length & bass!!!). The screen is shaking but you only hear a dry thump.
Otherwise decent!
I bit too much text for my taste, but the humor and style is very nice :)
Very nice graphics! Funny dialogue also :)
Runs a but slow for a simple game though
Good concept but the boulders are too hard to dodge. Too random to be a good game. Nice music!
To be honest I can't really say something positive about this.
- Don't like the Unity standard terrain
- Sound is loud and annoying
- After a while the tracking is off and the mushrooms shoot at nothing
- Don't really have the feeling I control the outcome
Technically very well made! But the fact that you have to watch a 3 and a half minute tutorial really turns me off. Next time put some text with every step, thats like 30 minutes of work if you're good enough with Unity to make this game.
BUT...
Visually very nice, I like the cleanliness!
Funny music :D
I liked the glitchy physics!
Very good job!
Looks great, but it's really hard. Like, unplayable hard :S
Very fluid movement, i like it! Sometimes i'm outside the screen and can't see were i'm at.
Awesome concept, cool physics!
With a lot of polish this can become something great.
Very hard! But nice concept! In a future version I would like to see ways to avoid the ninjas, not just by keeping your distance. Traps or something?
Good job!
Very nice concept! I'm not sure how I can win this, it's very hard :)
Not a fan of the stick figures though.
Very hard! I constantly forgot to reload! Nice graphics.
Very nice gameplay mechanics! Nice animations and art style! Pathfinding of the enemy sometimes doesn't work correctly, it sticks behind walls.
Overall very solid game!
Our games are indeed very similar :D
But I think your game is much harder haha
Very slick graphics!
Nice audio!
I really like the drinking animation.
Overall very well done!!!
Our games are indeed very similar :D
But I think your game is much harder haha
Very slick graphics!
Nice audio!
I really like the drinking animation.
Overall very well done!!!
p.s.
KITTENS!!!!!!!!
The feel of this game is really good, but it's very hard :D
Is it possible to get more ammo?
Cool idea, but a bit too dark to be playable.
Very well written!
Nice chicken sounds :D
The base of this game is good, but it would be better with (for example) upgrades to change the path, or slow down the chickens.
Very neat idea, but it's hard to see how deep the player is on the stage. A shadow might help with that.
It needs some fleshing out, but great concept!
This looks like a flash game from 1998. Is there a win-state? Not too keen on this one.
Damn this is cool! One big mindfuck, got stuck on the 8th? level. This can be made in something really good, like, a real game :)
Change the "Web" name to the name of the platform (Windows, Mac, Java, ?)
225 seconds :)
Very neat!
Controls are responsive, dialog is funny and the tasks are fun to do.
This is perfect for a mobile game ;)
Great job!
This is crazy! Too bad the punching doesnt feel right. Nice music and sound!
Very nice concept! Good music and graphics.
Gameplay is good but hard. Maybe next time make the rocks bigger than the guy(3x3 squares?), so you can keep a bit more distance when you swap.
Very well done!!!
Great idea, and great execution!
This really is a tense game when played with 2 players.
Very solid gameplay!
Graphics don't have to be pixel-art or realistic, but can use some work. (Maybe super minimalistic, black and white?)
Good job!
GREAT music!
Drawings are pretty decent, it really has its own style.
Good job, although it's not really a game ;)
Very nice clean graphical style!
I agree this would be better with mouse control.
The ball is a little slow for my liking.
Very nice pixel art! Especially when you die while playing the platformer game.
Really like this! Nice upgrade system, and the limited controls make it build tension. Maybe the difficulty curve is a bit too steep.
Very good job! Reminded me of The Stanley Parable for some reason
Damn, this looks professional :)
Do the bunnies become were-bunnies at night?
Nice looking Day-Night cycle too!
Gameplay gets a bit boring after a while though.
Holy crap those zombies are fast, i like it! The "How to play"-button crashed the game, but I figured out that I could switch weapons with RMB.
I really liked the pace and difficulty level. It's FUN and thats what games are about :)
Also nice bloodsplatter effects
Nice idea, but the execution is a bit bland. I would like to see a bit more depth or different gameplay mechanics.
Very nice gameplay! It works really well, and it is made to make very nice puzzles and platform elements! Graphics are neat too.
Damn this is cool!
I like it when everything goes batshit crazy and is bouncing all over the place.
Controls are a bit weird but it fits the weird theme.
Cool graphics, nice music ;)
It is FUN!
Nice job!
Damn this is making me dizzy :) Very nice take on Hexagon(i guess?). Great visuals and music!
I liked it! Very good job for 4 hours of work. Pretty hard, but the controls are fine, so it's all my own fault ;)
The minimalistic graphics really didn't bother me at all.
Got eaten by the dog and didn't go to heaven :)
Very cool and simple game, though I would like to see some simple animations alongside my actions.
Most original take on the theme i've seen so far. Jumping is a bit hard because you fall so fast. Very good first submission!
Very nice graphics, very funny!
Great main menu!
The first Ludum Dare #31 entry I played with a political theme.
Good job!
Awesome graphics and music! The controls are a bit clunky, but that also fits the fly-theme.
The controls are a bit weird for my liking, switching keyboard-modes didn't do anything for me.
Nice idea and execution, I dig the combination of 2D and 3D
Please change the name of the link from "Web" to "Windows". This is confusing.
Very well made, but it needs some polish.
Graphics and sound are nice, but it would be nice that if you choose a power your cursor changed, and would keep that power until you choose another one.
Good job!
Holy crap, very well done!
Nice graphics and sound, and the mechanics are awesome.
One small thing:
I would like to be able to turn on and off the screen, and that it always stays in front of me, not only when you press Q.
Best game so far!
Wow I really had to squint my eyes while playing this :)
Nice graphics & animations!
Also very hard, couldn't get past the first 3 rooms.
Very nice use of the theme, slick presentation and nice graphics and audio! Nothing bad to say about this one.
I like it! :D
Nice music! It gives a football game a lot of serenity ;)
Cool graphics!
Controls are a bit sluggish, also the ball get stuck in corners.
Technically very well made! It's a bit hard to understand though. Also weird that animals can walk on water ;) Nice music!
Very nice graphical style, a bit too simplistic though.
The jumping is a bit unresponsive, there is half a second between the button-press and the actual jump.
Good job!
Great submission!
I LOVE the audio. Those bitcrushed voice and music fits the visual style very well!
Solid gameplay and good controls.
I like it!
Nice mechanics, but it's a pity the blocks spawn at random positions. It makes it more a luck based game rather than skill based game.
Very slick design, and nice dialogue! The background noise really helps with immersion. I am bad at picking up girls though :(
Technically a very well made game, but the controls are weird & you can't shoot rock that you're standing on/against.
Cool "Where is Waldo"-esque game. Could be great with a bit more polish.
Wow this is cool haha.
The enthusiasm of the narrator really did it for me.
It is pretty lengthy and it was funny enough to keep me interested. The art is really good too, I loved the face of the sun, and the "god".
The ending freaked me out, wtf!
Is the name a the Killers reference?
I like the idea, but the circle shrinks a bit too fast. It would be nice to tell the player what to do in the beginning(press space, move down to consume the orbs).
The idea is nice but it needs some tweaking :)
Holy crap this is good! The controls are responsive, the graphics are great, and the music/ambient sound is awesome!
This is the first entry I played I have nothing bad to say about.
Really good job!!!
Hypnotising! The music is really good too! I think the movement in v2 is too slow, the movement in v1 could be easily fixed if you code it that the player only moves 1 unit on ButtonDown.
Very nice graphics and really addicting.
Good job!
The presentation of this game is the best I've seen so far this LD! Slick menu, great graphics and music. The gameplay however is not superb. You have too little influence on the balloon to really feel in control.
- Good idea
- Great presentation
- Needs some work gameplay-wise
Good job!
Neat little game! The controls are very good, I had the feeling I was in total control are the time. SFX were a bit harsh but worked fine. I really loved the particles.
Well done!
Very well done!
The fact that this has 3D graphics, multiple camera's, multiplayer and AI is amazing!
Really like the art style, low-poly always is nice in my opinion :)
I only have two negatives: The music is not very good (is nice that there is any, but still), and the races are too static. Maybe it could be more interesting with power-up's or something.
Good job!
Very neat concept! I also love the graphics!
I died a lot the first few times, but after I found out I could push the cows it made sense.
A more gentle difficulty curve would have been nice.
I also pushed the cows into the wolves way too many times while running towards a wolf.
With some tweaking this could be really good!
Also please make the frame for the embedded URL a tad bigger, so there are no scrollbars.
Well done!
The idea is good, but I don't "feel" anything when I bomb cities or plant trees. The whole world is green, and there is a human factory in Godthab?
Hey CustomPhase, too bad you do not believe I recorded all the audio for my game myself. So I provided a download link on my entry-page with the audio files, and you can see me recording it at 0:44 in my timelapse video. I hope you will give my audio a rating now ;)
Your game looks really nice! The graphics are very good and the music fits the graphical theme well.
Very slick presentation!
It's too bad you can't see whats beneath you when you perform a double-jump, so I died a lot when jumping high in the air.
Well done!
Well done!
I really like the music and the animation of the bacteria.
It would be nice if the graphics were a bit more trippy, so it would fit the pace and the music more.
It also got repetitive pretty fast.
Overall a nice submission!
Nice concept! I also really like the mix between 2D and 3D. It is pretty long for an adventure game, too bad there wasn't really a puzzle to solve. Also the controls were a bit frustrating, but I guess that is the fault of the theme :)
p.s. Next time please make a WebGL build, so everybody can use their default browser ;)
Wow this is awesome! With some more work you could make a "real" game out of this!
Because it is so good i'm gonna be nitpicky ;)
- It would be nice if the planets stayed in place when you click them, so you can move them with more precision.
- Graphics are not very great.
Overall very well done!!
Neat concept, but there is some room for improvement.
When I press both buttons the ball floats to one side, it doesn't go straight. And some holes are impossible to get trough, because the ball is the exact same size.
Well done!
It's something!
Really fun game! The upgrade system is very well done, and the controls are extremely responsive.
It is a shame that the crosshair is black, so I had no clue where I was aiming.
Very well done!
The graphics look really nice, especially the asteroids.
The music in combination with the pace of the game is really hypnotizing, it kept me going on forever.
Too bad there are no more bossfights :)
Good job!
Nice little game! Reminded me of the frog-dissecting in the game Bully(Canis Canem Edit). It works well, the graphics are pretty decent, but the game gets a bit boring after a while.
Good job!
Thank you for your kind words! It's a lot of fun seeing someone else play my game :)
Good thing you decided to finish your game after all, because it really turned out well. Graphics, music and gameplay are very good! The presentation is nice, it's a really smooth experience overall.
The only negatives I can think of are the lack of SFX, and that it is so short.
Well done!
Really fun game! The car models are nice, and the turn signal is a nice detail that really enhances the gameplay.
It would be nice if your car changed lanes a little bit faster, on high speeds it moves a bit too slow.
Well done!!!
Very indie/artsy, i like that :)
The parallax effects were really good, and the music really helped building the mood.
I got stuck for 2 seasons because there were no suns falling on my tree, so I just watched my tree getting obliterated by skulls, so that was'nt much fun.
Next time try not to take complete control away from the player, but give the player a solution to the problem.
Good job!
Wow this is awesome! Great graphics and wonderful audio!.And really trippy, i like that.
Sometimes I thought I was doing it right, but after a while the plant still died, so i'm still not sure how to win the game.
Good job!
The idea is very good! Too bad you didnt have the time to flesh it out.
Graphics are not great but work for this type of game.
Love the mouth organ!
The pixel-art is really good! Especially the background is gorgeous!
I think with a little more tweaking on the physics, the controls would be much better.
Good job!
So I played the web-version.
It is very in-depth for a Ludum Dare submission, good job!! It is a bit hard to grasp in the beginning, but after a couple of tries I got the hang of it, and it is fun to play.
Next time please export it as WebGL so Chrome users can play it in their default browser.
Overall very well done!
Very cool! The sound and sprites are pretty nice. The downside is that the AI is not too clever
Well done!
Good job!
The presentation is really good, it looks like a finished game :)
The hexagon moves a bit too slow to be well controllable. The concept is really good and the presentation is superb.
Well done!
Nice concept, but the learning curve is too steep. It took me +/-25 tries to beat the first level, I gave up on the second level.
It would be nice if the attack-ball moved at a constant tempo, or if the ball just spun around you at a steady speed.
Good job!
p.s. if you don't want the music to restart every time you reload the level, look up "static methods", and "DontDestroyOnLoad" ;)
The concept is really nice, but I just ate and attacked everything I found.
I got to level 194 and rescued the princess, without taking damage or dying. But it is always a good thing if you learned from the experience of making this :)
Very good concept! The ship had the right feel to it, really heavy.
The only downside is that it is hard to attach the loose parts, most of the time I just dragged them with me.
Well done!
Very nice concept! The graphics fit the gameplay well. After figuring out what to do it got really addicting!
The music is a bit annoying but stopped after a while ;)
Overall good job!
Nice job! I really like the responsiveness of the fish, and the music was really nice too (i love midi)! If you make the "world" a bit more alive (animation, physics?) it would be awesome!
I'm a sucker for low-poly models so this looks awesome in my opinion :)
The game really gives you a sense of height when you rise above the tops of the trees, and can oversee the world.
The gameplay is simple but pretty good, but I don't think I would play this for hours.
Also maybe build it as WebGL next time, so everybody can use their default browser (Not sure how that performs with such sick 3D graphics)?
Very well done!
Neat concept. Really like the super dry voice-over haha.
It would be nice to be able to fly a bit higher, I really felt constrained in my movement. Next time use the full 48 hours, and it will be amazing!
It reminded me of the game Ridiculous Fishing :) That's a good thing!
The graphics are minimal, but it doesn't matter in my opinion. The controls are responsive, I had the feeling I was in control all the time.
Good job!
Well done! The idea is good, but I think it is too random. You have to get lucky in the start to get a high score, there is little strategy involved.
Good job!
I really like the art style and the music, it really fits the theme. Too bad somethimes the balloons are unavoidable, and it takes a really long time to fall of the cape.
You could have used the second button for another action, like punching or ducking, and if you released the jump button you would move down.
Good job!
Very nicely done puzzle game!
The gameplay is cool, and you gradually learn the player the mechanics (when you bump into a wall, you go the other direction etc), which is very nice. Like the others I really don't like the graphics.
Well done!
The music is really good! Especially the end-music. Very cool concept, it's sort of a puzzle-platformer, which I really like.
Well done!!
This is good looking! Also really well written, but it was really short (?)
It could have used some simple ambient sound.
Well done!
I like the idea, with some more tweaks it could be better.
It would be nice if the ads would spawn at the same distance, but would move faster over time, so no ads would overlap and the game gets gradually harder.
Also a screen or sound effect for letting an ad pass, or for clicking when there is no ad would be nice.
Good job!
Wow this is hard! :)
I like the concept, but the controls feel a bit weird. Jumping is too hard, and that should not be the case with a platformer like this.
Very nice gameplay!
Well made! The first level was the hardest, the rest was pretty easy. I especially liked the "puzzle" were you had to walk back a tiny bit to make the gap. Too bad there are so few levels.
Well done!
It is a lot of fun, especially for a 3-hour game :)
Maybe a bit too difficult, and it would be nice if you could control the rotationspeed (mouse in top of the screen is fastest, mouse just above the middle is slowest)
Wow this has a slick presentation! The graphics are really good.
The AI is not too smart but well, for 48 hours it is really well made! It is probably more fun playing with 4 players :)
Good job!
Very interesting use of the 2 buttons, with the swapping of functions by holding them down.
It is a bit too random to be "good" at this game, and it gets a bit repetitive. Good use of the themes!
Oh and please use a WebGL build next time, so Chrome users can play it in their default browser.
I can see you don't have a lot of experience with animating humanoids, so this is probably a good learning experience for you. It's always good to do something out of your comfort zone! :)
The responsiveness of the character was not really good, the time between pressing the jump-button, and actually jumping was too long.
The graphics and music create a creepy mood, it's really good.
Well done!!
It reminded me of that old school boxes with water, with rings or little balls in it, I have no clue what they are called.
The concept is good, but it needs some more to be great. Both players have equal powers, and can't do a special move or something.
Also, next time please make a WebGL build, so everyone can use their default browser ;)
Nice concept!! Simple but a lot of fun. The visual and audio effects when changing colours really helped improving the playability. Could have used some simple music.
Well done!
Very slick presentation, and really good audio.
It's a fun concept, too bad it is a bit short. It would be fun of you had to solve puzzles with sound to advance to the next room.
Overall very well done!
Next time please make a WebGL build, so Chrome users can play it in their default browser ;)
Thanks for your feedback!
Your game is really well thought-out. The game-mechanics make this more of a puzzler than a platformer, which is really cool. It reminded me of Braid, which is a good thing :)
The music fits the art style, but the sound effects get a little annoying after a while. Also the intro screen didn't work in my case.
Very good job!!
Very simple but well executed. It's a lot of fun to play.
It would be nice if there was a penalty for shooting the wrong color (for example the enemy would multiply), and 2 colors is too simple, maybe a third color when you click LMB and RMB at the same time?
Well done!
Really loved the audio, it fits the visuals well for some weird reason. I did not see any hair grow, so I'm not sure what I did wrong, but I got 2 achievements("play this boring shit for 1 minute" and "bad gamedesign" or something)!
Also next time try to make a WebGL build, so everyone can use their default browser ;)
Very nice graphics and music! The use of the controls are interesting but hard to learn. Very nice job!
Looks really nice! The music is cool too! Too bad the controls make it virtually unplayable, I wish I could play this properly :(
Good try!
The music is really good! The gameplay is a bit repetitive and predictable.
Nice job!
This is a very complete game! It looks nice and controls pretty decent.
Maybe you should track how many times a player had a certain powerup, so you can divide it evenly. For example: if you have had 8x Shrink 4x Boost and 2x Grow, your chance to get Grow is the biggest and the chance to get Shrink is the lowest.
Very well done!
p.s. Next time please make a WebGL build, so everybody can play it in their default browser ;)
Very nice graphics! It shows that graphics don't have to be complex to be good.
I guess this game is easier on a mobile device, since you can hover your thumbs above the boxes.
I could have used some simple music, but overall it is very entertaining!
Goed gedaan!
Very nice looking game! Gameplay is simple but fun.
There is too much randomness to be good at this game, when you're in bad luck you get surrounded by red pieces of debris.
Well done!
Next time please make a WebGL build, so everybody can use their default browser ;)
Very hard! Fun concept, but it could be better if you had a more gentle difficulty curve, instead of immediately super-hard ;)
Well done!
The randomness of the generated obstacles sometimes make it inevitable that you'll die, but the addicting gameplay makes up for that.
I like the responsiveness of the controls!
The fish was too unresponsive, I really had to "work" to rotate the fish. I liked the concept of enemies changing into something good.
The music made it seem like it was a really weird dream or something :)
This is a nice take on the theme, picking binary. It is a lot of fun to play, and a little bit educational too! I would have loved to have this game when I had some little binary test in school ;)
Well done! I think I am the only one who likes the SFX. Especially when everybody is bumping into eachother and into the walls it creates a interesting wall of sound.
Controls are way too sensitive. If you fixed that it would be 10x better. The music was a bit bland to be honest.
Good job!
Nice game!
The sound when you change direction is a little annoying, and I would have rather controlled this with my keyboard. But the concept is nice, and the game plays well :)
Good job!
This is creepy AF!
It creates a dark, brooding mood, which really works well. While this not might be a traditional game, it moves people so I guess it's a succes! :)
Well done!
Very nice concept! It really works out, you made some interesting puzzles with this mechanics.
The music fits the movement of the ball, it's very smooth and gentle.
Great job!
Very chaotic game, love it!
Really like the graphics and music.
The dudes are too hard to control, so when you score it is out of luck most of the times.
The opponent (who was controlled by nobody) scored a lot from under the basket.
Well done!
p.s. Next time please make a WebGL version, so everybody can use their default browser ;)
Chrome says it has a virus in it, so I'm not gonna launch this....
Well done! The graphics and music are decent, and the idea is very good! Too bad the controls give you too little precision to aim at the enemies.
Good job!
Graphics and audio are really good! Too bad the gameplay was pretty RSI-inducing ;)
I really like the graphics, they really contribute to the hacking theme, so did the music.
The player moves with mouse-up, which is weird, and makes it feel unresponsive.
Good job!
At least you delivered something!
I found it pretty entertaining, the dialogue and animations were pretty cool. Not bad m8!
It looks awesome, but it is really hard to play. I didn't had the feeling I was in control, instead it was based on luck if I survived for more than 10 seconds.
Very well done!
The concept of choosing between sniper-shots and machine gun bullet-rain is really interesting, and despite the simple graphics it works out really well!
It would be nice of the hitboxes were a tad bigger than the boxes itself.
Love the music, well done overall!
Really nice presentation! Controls are hard but you will get used to it after a while.
I don't know if this is intended to be a 100% homage to Another World, but the difficulty curve is too steap in my opinion. It might scare players off.
Great graphics, a bit too hard.
Well done!
Very nice! I liked how the plants grew! Also very interesting "shooting" mechanic, that when you shoot you'll move the other way.
It would be nice if there was a bit more variation in gameplay and music.
Well done!
"Boner Simulator of the year 2015"
Very well done! The controls are super responsive, and the graphics are great. It reminded me of old-school platformers.
It could have used some sound and music, but overall it is very good!
This was weird and I love it!
I had to pet the first animal very long to open the door, the others took only a couple of seconds. Audio was very good, especially the audio of the first one haha
Nice job!
Cool little game! It was a bit too hard to rotate the room, I really had to drag my mouse a couple of meters to make a full 360 spin ;) Also the game slows down (on my computer) when rotating the room.
Cool idea, and with some tweaks it can be really good!
Very cool! At first, I was a bit thrown off by the graphics, but after a while, it grew on me. It has a unique atmosphere for sure!
Well done!
Very good concept! The visuals are also very good, and the walking sound fits the visual style very well.
I had no idea what I was doing, but I loved it. Music and visuals are very cool!
A little bit of a tutorial would be nice, but nonetheless well done!
Wow, the audio and visuals really fit together! It really has a Hotline Miami kind of vibe, very cool! The gameplay part is a bit lacklustre, but because of the awesome visuals you are forgiven ;)
Great job!
Very nice! I like the graphical style, and the "playground" feel of it. You really want to try out smashing everything :)
Too bad there isn't really a game element in it.
It's a funny little "thing", but it has hardly any gameplay in it. Next time put in some simple skill games ("how many times can you throw the ball through the hoop in 1 minute" for example).
Congrats with finishing a game!
Very cool concept! The controls are very smooth, and the art just works really well. I felt a bit underpowered, and it was weird that I had to control the shop-menu with my mouse, while the rest is controlled by keyboard.
Very well done!
Very nice atmosphere, but I had no idea what was happening :) For the most time I felt like I was tripping balls.
Good graphics, fitting music!
Well done
Really nice graphics! Even by only using primitive shapes you are able to make it look good! Too bad the hitbox of your character is too big. When an enemy is close but not touching you, you still die. Also kudo's for the name, I like it :)
Very nice art style and animation! The walking animation is very funny, and the parallax effect was so smooth it made me a bit dizzy, haha. The dialogue was also very quirky!
Sometimes it was hard to see what the foreground was, and where I could jump on.
Well done!
Very nice! This game has lot's of detail, and it has great style! The visuals and sound really fit the theme.
I only could get the navigation to work, and the solar cells to pick up 100%. After that no command line would work for me.
Well done!
Very cool concept, too bad the controls are a bit clunky.
Very well made! Cool graphics and I kind of liked the weird controls. You might want to edit your code to lock the cursor in the center of the screen, because I kept clicking out of the window.
Very nice! The graphics are really good, it fits the theme very well. Also very nice that you guys took the time to voice act everything.
Gameplay was not very exciting, but it was engaging enough to play trough it till the end.
Well done!
Very nice idea! Graphics are cool, but it is lacking a bit in the sound department.
It would be nice to have a short counter at the beginning of the game so you could look around for a bit (without being able to move).
Well done!
Very nice! Good use of the theme. I like the visual style, simple but very striking. I played this game for 10 minutes, but then I got a bit annoyed with the AI. But I guess you can't program a decent AI in a couple of hours ;)
Well done!
Very nice presentation, it really feels polished! Graphics and music are really good, really add to the mood. The story was a bit over the top in my opinion :)
Thanks for your comment, I have now added download links for standalone versions :)
Your game is really cool! It takes a while to get used to the physics, but when you figured that out it plays well!
The movements are smooth, and the sound FX, while minimal, are really good and fitting.
Nice job!
I wasn't able to play the Mac version. "Application cannot be opened". It seems like you have zipped the contents of the folder, not the complete folder itself (Mac applications look like folders on Windows). Let me know when/if you fixed it :)
For some reason the music, graphics and messages create a very dark mood, I really like that. It would be nice to be able to leave breadcrumbs because I got stuck in a loop for a couple of times.
Very cool game! The UI is really slick, I love that. The cat sound was also really funny, it didn't get old.
Too bad the superjump-bug is in there, because this way I was able to "cheat".
You might want to put your controls in the Update() loop, and your physics (jumping and moving) in the FixedUpdate() loop. This way the controls feel much more responsive, and it probably fixes the superjump bug.
Well done!
Very cool game! The UI is really slick, I love that. The cat sound was also really funny, it didn't get old. The puzzle mechanic was cool, and the level design was also good in my opinion :)
Too bad the superjump-bug is in there, because this way I was able to "cheat".
You might want to put your controls in the Update() loop, and your physics (jumping and moving) in the FixedUpdate() loop. This way the controls feel much more responsive, and it probably fixes the superjump bug.
Well done!
I can confirm this works on mac :)
It took me a while to figure out how the games system works, but after that it got really cool. The graphical style is really cool!
The jump sound got annoying very quick, because you have to jump a lot.
Well done!
"404 couldn't find the page" so I can't play this!
This was very trippy, I like that!
The photo background with weird 3D models flying around created a weird atmosphere.
Got bored quickly though, but that's maybe just me ;)
Well done!
I'm not sure if the game design is not well polished, or if I suck at this game haha.
I keep getting the same parts, so I have to trash them, which kills my productivity. I don't even come near 75%.
Graphics are really cool, and the sound fits the style.
The idea is very nice too!
Very nice mood, but the lack of feedback made it a bit frustrating to play. I never had the feeling I really was in control.
Graphics are really cool, and the ability to move every piece of paper adds to the engagement.
Well done!
Great graphics, but the gameplay (after I figured it out) was a bit too straightforward. Luckily you pushed through and decided to make it a jam submission, at least you've finished it!
Very cool! The graphics are awesome, the controls are spot on, and the sound really fits the style! Cool to have a lot of different enemies with different characteristics. Very well done!!
Nice art style, it reminded me of Cart Life (if you haven't played that, you really should!) The mirror effect is really cool(the actual mirror, not the two rooms(which is also really cool :) )).
The lighting effects on the sprites were subtle, and worked really well for that reason.
Nice little dark game, well done!
The music is awesome! Gameplay is a bit random, but a lot of fun to play for a couple of minutes. Graphics are very nice too, I like that style Nice job!
Highscore was 235 ;)
I really liked this, the graphics didn't seem rushed to me, it has a certain aesthetic that I like.
The people walking in front was cool, but after 5 minutes I couldn't see anything anymore haha.
Well done!
Looks great! The visuals really fit together, making it a cohesive whole. SFX are funny and fit the "playing in the bathtub" theme. Controls are a bit confusing sometimes. Regularly I did not know what was forwards and backwards. Gameplay is easy to understand, and a lot of fun!
Nice!
Very nice style, everything fits together really well. Art, music and story complement each other perfectly! Gameplay is good, but the controls are too "floaty" to be precise enough. It felt like I died too much because of the controls than of lack of skill.
Well done!
Looks great! After a while I discovered that I didn't have to click and drag to look around, when enabling fullscreen. You might want to add that to the description :). Is there something I can interact with, or am I missing something? I'd happily play it again and adjust my rating if I'm missing something haha.
Well done!
Well done! Very hard, but the base gameplay is very solid. Nonetheless, there are some improvements I would like to see ;)
- When I am wildly moving my mouse to shoot the circles, sometimes I click out of the window and the game disappears behind my browser (which was open behind the game window). It would be nice to have a fullscreen mode or a setting to lock the cursor into the window. - I had to select the level with my mouse, start the game with Return and restart the game with spacebar. Since you already need to have your hand on your mouse, I suggest keeping all interaction in the menus with your mouse. So a clickable button to start and restart the game. - When you press space to restart the game you end up in the main menu, while I thought the level itself would restart. That also would speed up the process and eliminate some frustration.
Good job, but there are some details that need some improvement
Visually it is very nicely done! A cool hybrid between 2D and 3D. The gameplay and controls were very confusing. When I expected to click on a menu item, the character started to move and vice versa. I also had no clue what to do. Music is very nice! SFX are a bit harsh and loud for my taste.
Overall well done!
Very nice graphics, really like the style. It was cool to fiddle around with for a couple of minutes. Can't say anything else really, since it's a toy and not a game. Well done!
Very well done! Graphics are amazing, it felt like I was on a vacation :). Sound effects and music fit the style really well, the crossfade in the music when playing the platformer adds a lot of mood while staying subtle. The gameplay is very original and it works very well. The only complaint I have is that it ran very poorly, even when turning down the graphical settings a bit, but that's also because of my not so powerful laptop. Great job!
Impressive that you've managed to create this much content in such a short time! Good idea, good execution, only the controls felt a little weird sometimes. Especially the jumping felt a bit off, it was hard to predict if I could make a jump, or if I would get stuck on the edge.
Well Done!
Thanks @kosmo, those are some great suggestions! If we decide to keep on working on this game we'll definitely take it into consideration :)
@psychead I looked up your LD34 entry, vaguely recognised it, and then I saw that I rated and commented on your game . Too bad the link is broken.
I completely agree with your remarks, the balancing is off. The difficulty ramps up way too fast after about 30 seconds when the whole playing field is covered in farts. It probably needs less farts, or the farts should be less powerful.
Thanks for your comment!
Very nice! The art style is really cool. The flying felt good, but I missed an extra action. It was too easy to dodge the rockets and skyscrapers, so it would be cool if you had to shoot the helicopters or something :smiling_imp:
Well done!
Very well executed game! Graphics are clean and the gameplay is easy to understand. It would be nice if the camera zoomed out some more, and the blocks would spawn a little higher because sometimes you cannot rotate a block in time to stack it onto another one.
Well done!
Graphics are very well done, cool style! The audio fits the visual style, but it could have used some (simple) music. I was not sure what to do, because I couldn't shoot the large spiders, and there were markings on the floor that did nothing?
I really loved the camera angle, and the hybrid between 2D and 3D.
Well done!
A lot of fun to play! Not too original, but it works well and it made me want to play more. It could use some more parameters, for example a penalty for cold food or something. I could put an infinite amount of burgers underneath the serving tray which made it too easy.
Well done!
This is more a tech demo than a game, but it is very well done! Love the relaxing music accompanying me while shaping the world. With one more weekend of work you could make this into a very interesting game.
Well done!
I'm a sucker for MsPaint(style) graphics, so when I saw your cover-art I knew I was in luck!
Very cool idea, and pretty well executed! Interesting to play, and with some enhancements, this could be superb.
Well done!
Very nice 3D models! I liked the game idea, but it didn't work out too well. The controls are too hard, and only be able to walk in one direction makes it feel very restricted. With some improvements this could be a very polished game!
Very well done! This is one of those gems you stumble upon once in a while, when rating LD games. The visuals, audio and storytelling all complement eachother, and create a very moody and humorous experience.
NICE!
Really impressive you've managed to create a movement system and basic A.I. in such a short time! I liked the graphics and the gameplay, but the controls were a bit fiddly, and the performance dropped at random moments.
Really like the cute theme!
Well done!
Really nice mood. The music, SFX and visual style really fit together. It was a very relaxing experience. The stretching of the edge was a bit random, sometimes I could stretch really far, sometimes I almost couldn't.
Overall a really solid entry!
Well done! A bit on the short side, but you are forgiven ;)
It was fun, especially in the last 2 levels, to find out the patterns of the entropies. The controls felt a bit too heavy for my taste, I suspect it had to do with the Rigidbody settings. Pro-tip: if you want to let your character with a rigidbody attached feel more responsive, don't use rigidbody.AddForce(), but modify the velocity directly by using rigidBody.velocity = Vector2(horizontalInput, verticalInput) ;)
good job!
Looks really good! Love the artstyle. It also ran really good on my not-so-high-end computer. It was fun to play around with for a couple of minutes, but it would be nice to see some gameplay elements. Well done!
Well done! I really like the gameplay idea, it is original and works well. Too bad the controls are really clunky, and the performance drops after playing a while. Overall you've done a really good job!
Well done! Really like the artstyle and the music. It is cute and creepy at the same time! It is well written and was fun to read. Too bad your original hint system didn't work out, I am curious how that would be. The scariest part of it all was the Comic Sans :scream: !!!
Well...where should I start? This is great! The audio is on point, everything squeaks and creaks, and fits the overall style very well. Visuals are perfect. A lot of detail, but not too much so you can fill a lot of stuff in for yourself. It seems overwhelming in the beginning, but after 2 minutes I knew where I could find everything. Controls are fluid and playful. I really felt like I was locked up in this vessel. There was only one thing that annoyed me...the events that made me lose money. I get that the company is crappy, but it feels unfair to lose money when you are following orders.
Best LD game I played...ever!!!
Very nice! Really comprehensive game; a lot of mechanics and cards. Art style is very cool, I knew directly it was inspired by It's A Small World After All :). Because the game is so deep, it was hard to understand the game mechanics, I felt like I was randomly accepting and rejecting cards. It would be nice if the first rounds each introduced a mechanic, so you can practice and understand each part of the game. But I get that time was short :)
Well done!
I completely agree with @kodiqi. Great concept, with a lot of possibilities for puzzles, but I got lost very fast. The difficulty curve could have been a little less steep. Props for the responsive controls and the restart button. Also, the art style is very appealing, I like that kind of stuff :)
Well done!
Very well done! Reminds me a bit of Hotline Miami, because you've got to have some fast reaction to survive! It is simple but it works really well. Graphics are cool, audio does its job. Sometimes the enemies rush a bit too fast for my liking at the start of the level.
Good job!
Best game I played so far! This really is my kind of humour haha. Especially the watermark joke was way too good! I tried to discover all conversation options because of the great voice acting.
Well done!
Very nice visual style! There is a lot going on 3d-model wise, that must have cost a lot of time to create . The controls are a bit floaty and heavy, but once I got used to them it was alright. Music is awesome! It really got stuck in my head. Reminded me of Transport Tycoon haha.
Well done!
Well done! The idea is simple but it works really well. Graphics are nice and cohesive. The only problem I had was with the control scheme. It was hard to control the plane only with up and down, so that might need some work.
Overall you've done a very good job!
The first time I played this I tried to kill as many people as possible, but then I read the description and saw what the goal was
Control of the shoes feels really good, and when you step down it really feels powerful and clumsy (as if you ate a radioactive Cheeto and became super huge all of a sudden).
Well done!
**Edit**
I downloaded the Mac version and that worked :). Very cool concept, I bet if you would put some more time in it, it would make a great released game! Graphics are very cool and trippy. The only downside I have is that the boxes look very much the same as the walls, it is hard to see them sometimes.
Wel done!!!
**Original comment**
Wow, that was a trippy experience! That fisheye effect is very unnerving, which is a good thing ;)! Gameplay was very interesting, but after a while, the game bugs out and I could only see a blue planet without anything on it. On both WebGL builds. If you could fix the bug I would love to try it again!
Very well done! The gameplay is very interesting and well executed. It was a bit hard to predict how the asteroid would fly, but that is also part of the game right? I also loved the crying planets, I don't know why
The only downside was that it took a bit too long to restart a level when you shot out of bounds. The camera movement was a bit too slow for my taste.
Good job!!
This game might not look fancy, it works very well! Clean visuals and clear goals. The minimalism really heightens the mood. It became a little bit repetitive after a while, so it would be cool to see some other gameplay elements.
Very well done!!
Nice work! Cool gameplay idea and the graphics and music really fit together! The controls are a bit stiff, and when the big orgy begins you cannot move anymore because you are enclosed by (dead) bunnies. With some small tweaks this can be really awesome!
Well done!
Very well made! A really complex game made in such a short time. At first it was a bit overwhelming, but after a while I got the hang of it and survived longer and longer.
Graphics are really cool, I like the style!
- It could use some music, and maybe some enemy-audio so you can hear them coming. - In the beginning it is really overwhelming, it is hard to figure out what to do. I would've liked to see a buildup in complexity.
Overall very well done!!!
Simple but nice. It looks really good, especially the car model. Would like to see a speed increase over time, it was too easy to dodge the rocks. Well done!
Wow this has a lot of content! Good that you've included a tutorial, because it is much needed :). Very deep game with fun mechanics, with some work this could be a cool finished browser game!
Damn this is hard! But once you get in the right flow it is really hypnotising. Controls are really responsive, and the music and SFX are cool too! It would be nice if the start of the game was a little bit more forgiving so you can get into the right mindset.
Good entry!
**If it doesn't load, disable your adblocker ;)**
Nice game! Like the sprites and the SFX. Also the out of control spinning of your enemies is really nicely done, it felt really chaotic. But after 300' I stopped playing because it didn't get any harder, I just kept on pressing space and collecting energy. It would be nice if it would go gradually faster over time, so there is an end point.
Overall nicely done!
For some reason when playing in my browser (Chrome on Mac), the car started spinning to the right in level 2 and still did in level 3. Holding left stopped the spinning, but I couldn't steer left, holding right-arrow made it spin even faster.
So I downloaded the standalone version :)
Love the sprites! Reminds me of the level-editor of Stunts4D for some reason. Music is cool too, but I little bit repetitive after the 20th time. I made it to level 10 btw. The fuel-meter is essentialy a timer right? Because it went down even when I was standing still. The control of the car could be a little less floaty, especially at low speeds.
With some small tweaks this would be perfect! Well done!
Wow this was trippy! Very cool audio and screen effects! Loved the atmosphere. But I couldn't even make it through the second level, because the screen gets so warbly that it is impossible to see where you're going. I recommend cutting the warble-values in half. So that the screen moves at 0% the way it does now at 50% ;)
Well done!
Nice game, but really hard! Going diagonally up is fast, but descending is really slow. You have to wait for a bolt to come nearby and then hope that the UFO won't be there first. It would massively improve the game if the controls were a bit more responsive. Well done!
Nicely done! I already was into it when I read the description, very well written :)
Impressive that you managed to create a game this extensive in such a short time! The 3D models are really nicely done.
I found it really hard to survive for longer than a minute, because the cars steer really sharp. It was a pain to stay safe from the crazy AI haha.
Good job!
Very well made! The graphics and audio are really polished, I don't think I've seen a prettier game this LD. The gameplay is simple but it works. It is fun to play a couple of times, but it would be more fun if there were a bit more gameplay elements. The font is stylish but really hard to read, which makes it off-putting for reading a long text.
Overall very well made!
Very nice! Love the sprites, music and sound effects! Nice detail that the laser doesn't shoot, but is more of a beam so you'll have to come close to the enemies. The controls are a bit finicky, especially the jetpack reacts very slow. If the jetpack would act more directly this would be a perfect submission!
Well done!
First of all: I thought I recognized the visual style so I checked your previous LD-entry and behold; I also played that one :)
Great visual style! Simple but striking, it really fits together very well. For some reason I really liked the square particles.
- It would've been nice if there was some 80's/synthwave music in the background ;) - The camera angle is too steep. When a cactus or jerrycan comes into the screen it is too late to steer towards it. Another solution would be to make the car's handling a bit less slippery.
But overall a very nice and slick entry!
Very nice! Graphics are amazing, especially the clouds. And the music really adds to the mood. I got a bit of an FTL vibe of it, choosing to send your crew on an island with the risk of bad things happening or keeping your crew on the boat but not gaining anything.
Well done!
RIP robot :(
Very atmospheric! The visuals, the music and the story really fit together. Really liked the raw guitar tone (with raw I don't mean heavy, but more like "unpolished" :) ). The art style is simple but it works really well, I really got into the story. The pace of the robot was just perfect, the relatively low speed enhances the mood for some reason.
The only downside is that there is almost no challenge and that it is too short ;)
Well done!
Nicely done! Music is really good and the sound effects are funny :) Graphics are good, but it would be nice if the middle part had another colour, it looks like a drivable road now.
Gameplay is lots of fun, the controls are really direct and snappy! The length of the game could be halved, so that you quickly can try to beat your own score.
Overall very well done!
Highest I could get was 75%, so I guess I would be an average bee?
Love the simple concept, no unnecessary gameplay elements, WYSIWYG to the max!
The flower animation was cool, it would've been nice if the bee had some animation, especially if you click the flower at the exact right time.
Also sometimes when I want to click a "good" flower suddenly a new flower pops up in front of it, reducing my score.
Overall very well done!!
Love this game! Very polished and thought out, nothing but praise for you! Love how the notes fit in with the music. Also very good looking and coherent visually.
I went for the "bad karma" choices, and the story was really sad. Combined with the music that really hit me, which is a big compliment.
Well done!
Very good looking entry! The animations are impressive. Cool gameplay idea, balancing energy to walk and to defend yourself. It takes a little bit too long to walk to the enemies imho. Also the walking audio got a little bit annoying after a while. Very slick game, well done!
Well, I think everything has been said about this in the comments above, but I'll give you my 2 cents. I really like the art, reminds me of some old dos games. The level was really big, holy crap. For me that's a plus, but I couldn't find the turret(s?) so some guidance would be nice. Controls are a bit floaty, but if this is a space setting you can get away with it ;) Next time make a Physics Material in Unity, set it to super slippery and slap it on the player. This will solve the getting stuck on walls problem (there are more sophisticated methods, but this one is easy and it works).
Good start, but it really needed some more work.
Well done!
Really cool game! Saw this at Elysia Griffin stream and it looked cool, so I gave it a try. Love the art style! Gave me a Cart Life kind of vibe, so that's a big plus. Love the gameplay concepts, it was a lot of fun to juggle the several components of the train to keep it running. It needs some balancing but this is a great start. Combat was a bit stiff but after getting used to it it was ok. I had the same problem as @antaresvaldemar, so I couldn't use my bucket anymore.
It has been said before, but it would be more intuitive if you could exit and enter the train with down-arrow and up-arrow, and maybe the same for picking up items (down arrow to pick up, up arrow to drop in furnace).
Overall very well done, one of my favorites so far!
Lekker bezig
Good job! Got a bit of a clicker-vibe off of it, and this was also strangely addicting. Loved the graphics, I like bulky pixels (I don't know if this is correct English). In the beginning I really had to watch my money and don't buy furnaces too fast, but after 3-4 minutes I could buy everything I wanted and the only challenge was to put coal in the furnaces as fast as I could. I quit the game because my arm began to hurt, not because I lost ;)
It would be nice if the game was a little bit more balanced (balancing and an 48h competition is not a good combination, I know), and/or if there were some automated systems to build, so you wouldn't have to drag coal all the time.
Overall a very nice game!
Toplel. I was expecting something weird, but not this. Nice details are the super slow camera movements and the horn, makes you think there is something going to happen. Love the art BTW.
Very cool puzzle game! I really like the clear tutorial teaching all the game mechanics, a lot of LD games are lacking that (mostly of time constraints, but still ).
- Graphics are simple but decent, nothing bad to say about that. - Music is a little low on volume, but because it is a very fast and busy song that might be a good thing ;) - I lost interest after dying 3 times because I had to do all the levels again. It would be nice if you could try the same level over and over again. With these types of games, the challenge is not in surviving but it is in solving the puzzle.
Well done!
This was a lot of fun to play! The difficulty level was just right, and the car controlled very smooth and reacted as I expected it to do. I found it nice that you could recharge your car by not accelerating, so you can manage your energy even better, and cannot fail the game (no game over when your energy is 0).
Music is pretty cool (I did not hurt your feelings ;)), but the graphics are pretty bland to be honest.
Overall well done!
Very nice! Graphics and soundeffects are really well made. Gameplay is fun! I love how shooting drains energy, so you cannot spam the shoot button. The controls are a bit floaty but very smooth, and the spaceship reacts as you would expect. The only complaint I have is that sometimes enemies spawn right in front of you, so you cannot evade them. Well done!
First of all thanks for playing my game on stream! I really appreciate it.
Your entry has a really original backstory, which made me get into it immediately. The graphics remind me of a happy version of Papers Please for some reason. Maybe because of the arranging of objects on a surface.
Also, it is really hard! The second level took me forever, so I didn't dare to try the other two haha.
It would be nice if the background had a grid that would light up where the item is going to be dropped when clicking. Almost every time the object ended up in a place where I didn't expect it.
Well done!
**Score: 815pts after 7:24 (2nd on the leaderboards :sunglasses:)**
Very nicely done, a lot of fun to play! The aliens were really creepy, looking at you with their lifeless eyes. It was really cool trying to keep your shit together, killing aliens, collecting fuel and health. It was one big balancing act going crazy. Once the UFO's came I died almost immediately, so maybe they're a bit overpowered.
The only criticisms I have is that the aiming is a bit weird. I got used to it but I would rather have seen a more conventional FPS control. And the walking speed is on the slow side. When you shoot an enemy from a long range you'll have to walk really long to get the fuel. Also the drops could be a bit more balanced. Sometimes I only got health packages for one minute long, and shortly after that I had loads of fuel.
Overall a lot of fun to play, and that counts. Well done!!!
Final score: 17654, final year: 1966 :)
Games with voice overs are always good, it just makes it so much more fun and finished. Also the sound effects are really funny! The graphics are very cool, you can see there is some time and love put into that. Got a Wario Ware feel when playing because of all those mini games that speed up.
It's fun to play and humorous, so what's more to ask for?
Very well done!
First of all: the music is awesome, some high-quality stuff right there! The graphics are cute and functional ;). The idea is really good, but I found myself shooting flares more than anything else. When I found a ghost I just walk up to it and kill it, there was not really some skill involved, unfortunately. With some tweaks this could be awesome!
Well done!
Well made! The animation is really good, and the controls are very snappy. I WTF'ed when I changed the zombies into pigs (which is a good thing). Smart move to include the tutorial into the levels, this made the experience much more seamless. Missed (at least some) sound effects, but overall this is a very good entry!
Very cool aesthetics, love the creepy vibe! Starts very easy but gets hard pretty quick, especially when there are two monsters in one space. Graphics are really nice, very unnerving effects and atmosphere. One solution for the sudden movement at the end of a loop would be to make a dark tunnel or something, so you can't see the hickup. It would be nice if there was something more to the gameplay to give it a bit more depth.
Overall very well done!
Well done! Love the graphics, remind me of old Maxis games for some reason :)
It was a lot of fun to explore the worlds, but constantly mashing the arrow keys was a bit annoying. It would be nice if you could hold the key to move the harvester (slowly).
The sound was a bit repetitive, but it was not bad.
Nice!
A lot of fun! Graphics are simple but work really well. The music fits the visual style and is really cool. The loop could use some variation though.
Loved the intro sequence because of the broken English, not sure if that is on purpose or not :)
It is a lot of fun to gently float towards an asteroid, so you don't hit it too hard but still are close enough to mine it. Upgrades really did make a difference and made me want to mine more.
I made it to earth :)
Well done!
Nice atmosphere! The music really fits the gameplay and the visuals. Even though it looks simple, the visuals are stylish, they really work. Gameplay was a bit too simple. Just running around hoping to run into a battery, so there's something to gain next time.
< nitpick > Dark blue text on a black background is really hard to read, especially when you're sitting outside enjoying the sun ;) nitpick >
Well done!
Very comprehensive entry! Love the story sequences, it is written very well. SHMUP part controls very well, but the asteroids are hard to see, could use some more contrast or a white outline. I don't know why I lost the 2 times I played it. I had energy left, survived the SHMUP part, got the quiz answer right, but still I lost for some reason.
Very well done!
Love the writing, made me WTF and/or laugh a couple of times! Especially the rolling meatballs thing, wtf man. The portraits are really well made, very old school! It would be nice if I had a bit more control of the events happening because most of the time it was just a click-next-simulator.
Strange and cool entry!
Cool game! Love the art, reminded me of Cart Life. Gameplay is fun but simple, at one point I just kept making coffees to spawn customers. It would've been nice if there was some sort of build up in difficulty. SFX was also very nice and old school.
Well done!
Yeah, 8th place! I played the native (Mac) version and had no problems with lag. Very cool concept, it makes me want to come back for more. It feels a bit like spinning plates, you have to check back on every miner to see if it doesn't get overrun by aliens. Graphics are simple but functional, for audio the same. It could have used some (simple) music. But it is a lot of fun to play, which is the most important thing!
Overall a very solid entry!
Nice game! Really liked the art and the controls. The car has some weight to it and controls very smoothly. The concept is simple but fun, and good job adding the police cars so you can't camp in the middle of the roads. If the camera was a little bit more zoomed out this game would be a lot more forgiving. Right now I can't survive longer than 1 minute :)
Well done!
Did not work for me on OSX. Even chmod +x'ing like @hippy-dave suggested didn't work. What might help is disabling "Mac App Store Validation" in Player Settings ("Edit->Project Settings->Player->Other Settings"). I really want to try this game because it looks awesome!
Wow, this was weird and I love it! For some reason, it reminded me of Duke Nukem 3D, and I don;t know why.
Love the aesthetic, the combination of realistic arms and cartoony enemies is very alienating. Also the lack of music makes it even more spooky, so thats a plus in this case.
It would've been nice if there was some kind of feedback when you hit an enemy, and the constant clicking gave me RSI so it would be nice if there would be another mechanic for that.
Overall very well done!
First of all thanks for the constructive criticism on my game, I really appreciate it! I gave your comment some "love" :)
Congratulations on completing your first Ludum Dare! The game is pretty extensive for a first jam-game, very nice.
The atmosphere is really good, it feels very sinister. The game mechanics are cool, I would love to play a polished version of this! The powering of the generators is a really nice feature. The graphics might not be high-def, but it works and it all fits together.
Too bad I could not progress past the first wave. After killing two zombies I ran out of ammo, and only got $200 to spend. Also, the mouse movement was jittery and sluggish as if it was lagging.
Well done!!
Fun little game! The speed got way too fast after one upgrade though. I wasn't able to drive over any loading points other than by luck. Cool upgrading system and sprites! Audio was a bit harsh on the ears.
Well done!
Very good looking game! The animations in the start menu were already letting me know that I was in for an animation treat. Sound effects are really good, the music got a bit annoying over time (or was that the idea in the first place?!?). It took me two tries to figure out what to do exactly, but when I got the gist of it I ran around the house like a madman. The couple of jokes sprinkled over it sealed the deal.
Very good entry!
PS: I don't want children in the near future anymore after playing this game ;)
Nice! The art is really well done and the bear-animation is hilarious but cool :) Feels like a complete product with the music and the sound effects. Gameplay is simple but entertaining.
The only complaints I have is that the walking and jumping feels heavy. I wasn't able to jump over a bomb even once. Also, the Spawning is a bit unfair, sometimes a bomb spawns right on top of you. It would've been fairer if the minimum spawning height was a bit higher.
Overall very nicely done!
Very atmospheric! Loved the pixelated visual style, the music was also very well made. Cool detail that the footsteps and thunder sound like drums :). Gameplay was a bit slow, and not very challenging, unfortunately. And what is the intro about?!?! I felt like I was watching alien-porn haha.
Well done!
Well done! I like the simplistic art, and the music was really good too! Nice concept, with some more time you can really make an awesome product out of this. Also, the "dialogue" is well written, had a lot of fun reading it. The only complaint I have is that sometimes you can hang from walls, and sometimes you don't, and there is no visual indication for that.
Overall a very nice entry!
The Mac build is not working for me. What might help is disabling “Mac App Store Validation” in Player Settings (“Edit->Project Settings->Player->Other Settings”). The architecture should be on x86. Let me know if you found the time to rebuild the Mac version, I would love to play this!
Sorry to say, but the Mac build still doesn't work (for me) :( The last solution I know is building it from a mac, but I don't know if you're able to/have the time for that. Succes with the competition!
Nice entry! Love the art style. The choice of clicking higher to have more impact or click low and be able to bash your castle on the floor multiple times in a short period is very cool. The stickmen were a bit hard too see, but I loved their animations :)
Overall well done!
Wow this is cool! Nice build up, and then when I saw the big level I was like WTF!?! But once I started it seemed doable though. Cool game mechanics and fun puzzles. Not too easy but because of the small segments it was comprehensible you know it is possible. Love the music and the SFX!
Well done!
Good looking entry! Also runs flawlessly on my not so powerful computer. Controls are very smooth and snappy. The only thing I didn't like was that oil slicks were the only dangers, and that they made you lose control. It would be nice if there were some more powerdowns (lose fuel), obstacles on the road to bump into, or if the track was just more challenging.
Well done!
Nice job! Love the sprites and the music (although it didn't loop smoothly), and the cacophony of SFX's made the whole thing complete. Driving felt a bit stiff, and I had no clue where to go.
Overall well done!
Very atmospheric! Really like the music in combination with the visuals. The controls are a bit wonky, because you have to use the mouse to control the player AND to click a UI element. But everything has been said about that in the comments above.
I would suggest to use a control-scheme like Hotline Miami. The player looks at the mouse, but you control him with WASD, and you can bind an action (like placing a lamp) with your keyboard.
Overall well done !!
34 km :) This is a lot of fun to play! The controls are very responsive, and the gameplay is easy to understand but hard to master ;) Love the graphics, really well-made pixel art methinks. The other cars behave really unpredictable, so it would be nice if you could also slow your car down a bit, so you can let them pass in front of you when they suddenly decide to change 8 lanes haha.
Well done!
Nice concept! Love the balancing act between attacking and regaining your sanity. The graphics and SFX are really cool. Especially loved the look of the spells!
Sometimes I died for no good reason, so that was a bit weird. But overall, well done!
Well done! It is very nice to have small levels which you can restart easily, so you won't have to redo a large part of the game when you make a mistake. The concept is very clever, it would be nice if the game was a little longer :)
Good job!
Cool concept! It was pretty hard to move the character with WASD and charge the bubbles/bullets(?). I didn't know I could charge them at first, so I stuck to shooting small bullets which made the game even harder.
I really like the graphics and the music, and the projectile-shooting-thingies made for a great variety in the gameplay!
Well done!
Well done! It is really polished for what it actually is. I love the artstyle. Too bad the gameplay isn't much more than spamming LMB and sometimes walk around to collect chocolate. Beating turds has never been so much fun. Good job!
Nice! Cool interpretation of the theme. Graphics and mood are really nice. It really feels coherent. It starts off a bit slow, but after 5 rounds it really picks up the pace. It would be nice to have checkpoints after maybe 5 rounds(?). Nice 3D models btw!
Well done!
Cool idea! Love the visuals and the sound effects. Like others already said, the gameplay is a bit confusing. It would be nice if you had a bit more feedback on what and how you are doing.
But still a nice entry!
Nice job! The graphics look amazing! Very cool gameplay concept, but it was a bit hard to understand how to actually use the mechanics. I've tried to build all kinds of structures but the bunnies kept dying :( RIP. It would be nice if there was some explanation or feedback on what each building does.
Well done!
Thanks, it should be fixed now!
@ditzel Thanks for the feedback! Originally I wanted the menus to be controlled only by keyboard, but the Unity web-player is making it impossible to lock and hide the cursor. So I've updated the game to show the cursor :)
Nice graphics! Really cool low-poly style, reminded me of Interstate '76 for some weird reason :) Like more people said, I found the controls unresponsive and clunky, it would be a big improvement if that was fixed, especially because of the time constraint.
Overall well done!
Cool concept! It was a bit hard to get into, but after a while, it became clear and more fun! It would've been nice if there was a tutorial, or if the game became more complex the further you got. With an upgraded UI this game would be even better.
Well done!
214 seconds!
Well done, really like this game! The first completely glitched level caught me by surprise. I like the concept and the artstyle, but the gameplay was a bit too forgiving and the jumping feels too floaty. If this would be polished, and there would be more levels this would be awesome!
Good job!
29! I really got cramps in my hand at the 25th bottle, damn it was intense. The graphics are simple but tight, fits the arcade-style gameplay really well. Nice detail on the coloured outline on the hands. Also, the bartenders' text was really witty, I like it!
The only problem I had, in the beginning, was that I didn't notice that I drank a beer, there was no visual indication except for the counter. A small animation or sprite-swap would be nice. And another nice addition could be that your empty bottles move to the sides of the screen, so they slowly fill up the bar (and it would be a visual indication).
I really can't say anything really bad about it, except that it is probably not healthy for your hands to play this a lot ;)
Well done!
Damn this insane! Saw this game at Elysia's stream and I needed to try this for myself! Good music, awesome visuals and my style of humor! This is a perfect LD-game. It's fast, funny and you get better at it every time you play it.
The controls are a bit finicky, but I guess thats on purpose.
Well done!
Nice entry! A bit hard to understand at first, because you die very fast while trying to understand the game. But after some trial and error I "sort of" got it. It looks very nice and the concept is good, but I got little to no feedback about what I was doing wrong (or right). For example I didn't know why I couldn't place more houses at some point.
With some more feedback about what you're doing wrong and a more gradual buildup of the difficulty, this can be awesome!
Well done!
The music could have been a bit happier because the rest of the game is so funny! The sounds are cool, the visual style is really nice, and it is a lot of fun to drive into everybody and see the cars fly around.
The only complaint I have is that I would have wanted to be able to choose more cars (I don't know if my computer then would blow up?) for maximum chaos! It this case, it is "The more you have, the better it is" ;)
Nice concept! It took some time to get used to, but after I "got it" it was a lot of fun to play! The visuals are nice, but the day/night transitions feel a bit too sudden. It would be nice (but very hard to implement and get right) if you could sneak up on an enemy, and kill him silently :)
Overall well done!
Very cool concept! Love the idea of having more ghosts when dying a lot. The graphics are really cool, love the low poly style. The music is also perfect for a Tony Hawk clone ;). The car was really hard to steer, it didn't always feel like I was having control over it. A very cool idea nonetheless!
Well done!
Nice game! The controls are really responsive, and the graphics are cool! A nice detail was the building up of the music and the heartbeat, it really added some tension. It would be nice if you could see how far Tim is from dying, because it felt like the game was over for no reason.
Well done!
Wow, very well done!!! An easy to grasp concept, with clever ideas and nice graphics & music! There isn't really much to complain about. Because it is so good, I'm going to nitpick ;)
It was a bit weird that the A and D key _and_ the arrow keys worked on the horizontal movement, and the W key did not work for jumping but the up-arrow did.
Also the movement felt a bit sluggish. It would help if you would fiddle a bit with the physics and input settings (Maybe directly manipulate rigidbody.velocity instead of AddForce()). But then you would have to retweak all the puzzles, so you might want not to do that :)
Nice job!
Wow, nice game! It really feels like a complete product. The art, music and gameplay really fit together. It is really hard to remember which button to press, which somehow fits the game. The best thing are the voiceovers, very funny!
Well done!
Nice concept! Really like the fact that you have to dodge stuff with your mouse, while clicking. But cursor could've used a bit more contrast with the rest though. It felt a bit like a bullethell/shmup when clicking wildly. It is really cool that you have the difficulty level in control yourself, risk/reward kind of stuff! It scales a but too slow, but overall really cool!
Nice work! The graphics are really good, and the weird physics/cars flying through the air were a lot of fun! Most LD games get hard really fast, but this one took a bit too long to really become a challenge. Also driving on the wrong side of the road seemed a bit easier than driving on the right side.
Overall well done!
Nice style! Love the lights and the sprite of the leader. Controls are really responsive too! I got confused because it said "no consecutive jumps", but when I made it to the workstation I failed because I had to bring 1 steel bar. When I did that it told me I failed because I had to bring 3 steel bars (?!).
But the mood and graphics in this game is really great, so well done overall!
Well done! The graphics are really nice, and the robot controls really well. Loved the super slow enemy bullets, it was like a SHMUP in slowmo :). It would've been nice if you could see which powerup boosted which subsystem, it was a guess every time (but you already mentioned that).
Nice entry!
Nice interpretation of the theme! Simple but very cool visual style, and I really loved the music. The music fits the subject very well. I really don't have anything bad to say about it, it's easy to understand, hard to master, and the short sessions keep it interesting.
Well done!
Cool idea! I really like the art, it really fits the style of game. It would have been nice if you didn't have to spam spacebar, but maybe a rhythm-game that gets harder the more hearts you pick up ? But I get get you can only do so much in 48h ;)
Overall a very solid entry, which would make a cool webgame with some more time.
Well done!
Nice graphics, it has a really cool visual style! It is fun to explore the level and discover all the puns :) Also, the 40second rounds are perfect for LD games. It keeps it quick and fresh.
It would have been nice if there was a little more to do, like dodging obstacles. Also, the controls are a bit too sluggish, sometimes I just kept walking in circles around the items.
Overall wel done!
Nice! Cool gameplay concept, reminded me of the sheep herding in Red Dead Redemption :). I loved the cat sounds in combination with the frantic movement, really feels chaotic (which is a good thing!). I would love to have some more control, or maybe be able to use some objects to keep the cats in line. BTW the main menu is awesome, played with it for way too long.
Well done!
Very well done! Cool visual style and the gameplay is a lot of fun! It got really difficult really fast, but when you lost the game you could get to the same point you were fairly quickly. All the internet references are very funny and recognisable, especially the kappa-minigame, it is almost lifelike.
For each step, It took me a while to discover what to do. It would be a nice addition if you also could grab the phone itself to take a selfie, instead of only the wrist. It would make it a bit more intuitive (and easy ;) )
Nice job!
Highscore: 28!
Wow, this is cool! I love all the small details, like how your character jumps into the world when starting the level, and the delay on the jumps of your friends so that everybody jumps at the right time. The graphics are simple but clean, and bonus points for a character customization function!
One minor issue was that you are using the old Unity webplayer which does not work in Chrome, so I had to switch browsers just for this game.
Oh, and what the hell does "I broke my wind" mean?? haha
Well done!
I used Safari on Mac, for Windows only Internet Explorer 11 works for the old web player according to https://unity3d.com/webplayer.
I strongly advise you to make a copy your project folder, download the latest version of Unity and import it into the latest version. That way you can export it as a WebGL build, so everyone can play it. You might have to change some things in your code, but most of the time the console tells you exactly what to do. But make sure you keep your original project folder in case it goes wrong!
Good luck  !
Nice game! I really like your 3D modelling, it is simple but very effective! Nice detail that it is possible to drive the fences out of the ground.
At the first playthrough I was not sure what to do in the first scene, should I drink more or less, there was no incentive to do one or another. It would've been nice if there was a (small) gameplay element.
But after that it was a lot of fun to drive around, it really felt like I was driving in a neighboorhood! The controls are pretty good (when sober ;) ), and the build-up in difficulty is very well done.
Well done!
I could not run this because the web-link directs me to a Windows build or something? If you fix this please tag me in a comment, because I would love to play this :)
This is very good looking! Nice job on the graphics. I agree with the other commenters on the text speed and restart button (You can still add a restart button if you mention it on this page, it would make reviewing the game a lot easier for everyone).
I found it really hard to see if I was going to hit a rock, so maybe the camera placement could be tweaked a bit. And it would be a nice touch if the camera would follow the player smoothly instead of being attached to the ship.
I loved the design of the captain in the beginning.
Nice entry!
Very cool concept! It really fits the theme. Too bad the camera movements are a bit nauseating, and it is hard to understand what to do. It would've been nice if there was some sort of build up in the gameplay. (First fly a bit without balls, then move one ball etc etc).
With some more polishing this could be a super fun web-style game! Well done!
Great idea! Really original! The graphical style is great too, it has got a nice cartoony look.
It felt a bit unfair that the enemies needed to be shot multiple times to die, while you die in one hit. It would be nice if the enemies died quicker. It would make it a bit easier too ;)
Overall very well done!
Very cute! I really like the attention of detail. There seems to be a name for everything (touching elbows?!?!). The graphics are nice, and the music at the end just finishes it off. It really feels finished. Well done!
This game is awesome! Cute and coherent art style, funny voiceovers, a lot of little details, tight controls and fun gameplay. Nice that the gameplay concepts are introduced one by one, and the difficulty level is increasing very gradually. I really cannot say anything bad about this. Also, I think that this game is very appropriate for speedruns :)
Well done!!
Well done! Fun puzzles, and it guides you slowly into the game mechanics. The art is also very cute. The moving could be a bit faster, and the colour coding was unclear to me. It would have been nice if the game started with 2 colours, and then slowly added more to let the player know what they mean. Overall niceluy done!
Nice entry! This one is hard to rate. First of all the music and the visual effects are really cool! But meanwhile, the controls and limited screen space make it really hard to play. But that's also where its magic is. It feels very claustrophobic which fits the theme really well. So it needs some work but it is also very well done! haha
It is really hard to rate this game for me. After downloading the LOVE engine I tried to find out where to find the conf.lua file. After I while I found out I had to open the .love file in a code editor. But when I changed the resolution to something smaller it changed back to 1920x1080 when opening the game. That doesn't fit on my screen so I have no clue if I missed something while in game. I think so because I had no idea what I was doing while playing the game.
So my tip for you two: please make it easier to run the game next time, it will make sure that you'll get a lot more ratings.
After all this negativity: congrats on finishing a game for Ludum Dare!!!
@shinysteel He is the king, he can do anything! Sadly there is only one type of food (because of lack of time), and if you make a couple of burgers for him you finish the game :)
@el-metallico Thanks for playing! If you pick up the meal and bring it to his outreached hand, he should take it from you.
@joshuc @mrsylar59 @leeloo @ever @eclahn @karlipoppins Thank you all for playing! Your feedback is really appreciated!
I planned to have at least 3 different recipes, and the king would shout at you what he'd like to eat. But yeah, the time constraint got me good! If I make a post-jam version I will definitely add more food types. Also, the scrolling seems to be a WebGL problem. I will look into it and maybe add an alternative way of moving the food in an update.
@zeriver Haha glad you had so much fun!
@sokuaisushi Thanks for streaming my game! Unfortunately, it was around 2 AM when you played my game so I couldn't be there. But just watched the video of your stream and I had a lot of fun! Thanks!
I really wanted to play this but sadly it did not work on my system. It might be a Mac thing? This is what it looks like: Screen Shot 2018-08-15 at 21.04.55.png So, unfortunately, I cannot give you a rating.
@snowdrama I played both the WebGL and the Mac version, and they work just fine!
Very interesting game! It definitely has an original concept. It took me a while to master the controls, but after that, I was as fast as lightning. Also, the visual style is really cool! It would've been nice if there was more strategy involved, instead of randomness. Now the player is really dependent on the items and the rooms the RNG gives you. Also, I think it would be better to be able to place the furniture with your mouse.
Overall a very solid entry!!!
ps. my score was 2880
Nice game! In the beginning, I was struggling to find out what to do exactly, but after one game I (think I've) got it. Then it got a bit too easy, but like previous people said, balancing takes a lot of time which you don't have in a game jam. Overall a very solid and complete entry, well done!
Very impressive! Really nice puzzles which make you feel smart when you complete them. Graphics are simple but effective. Nothing bad to say really!
Nice game! Had to figure out what to do the first couple of rounds, and I still don't exactly know if I'm doing it right. But the bouncing felt nice, especially in combinations with the sound effects. The presentation is really slick. Also, kudos for the metal soundtrack!
Well done!
Nice game! The tutorial is perfect! Explained really well what to do. The music is catchy, and the SFX really helps in telling if a car is ready to leave. Graphics are simple but effective. The only downside is that I couldn't tell when I would lose (when the queue was more than 3 cars?). Well done!!
Nice entry! Very minimalistic but a lot of fun! It would've been nice if the jump button was (also) somewhere else on the keyboard because my fingers get really cramped using the arrow keys for all the movement. Space would've been fine. Overall a very nice game!
Nice entry! Very original main menu (angry guy screaming to right ). I am not a big fan of match-3 games, but this one got me hooked for a while. It feels very nice to clean up the playing board and have some more space to breathe. Graphics are simple but effective, and the music is cool but a bit repetitive after a while. Overall a very nice game!
Damn, no time to relax! I really liked the ads, very realistic! I really want my nose to grow longer. The music was also strangely hypnotising. Too bad there is nothing more to do than clicking like a madman.
Well done!
Very fun game! The visuals are simple but really striking. The visual and auditive kick when dashing was amazing! The gameplay was simple but needed some strategy in later levels, which was surprisingly entertaining. The only critique I have is that the controlling of the spaceship is a bit too sensitive. I was constantly missing the reality fragments. It would be nice if the hit-box was bigger or the spaceship moved slower. Very good entry overall!!!
Very good entry! The hand-drawn visuals really give it life. It almost has a nightmarish feel about it. The gameplay is pretty basic but also pretty fun! The controls and concept are easy to understand, too bad the game doesn't really expand its mechanics. Also I am suspecting that the collision is not alway working, it felt that I went through the enemies sometimes. Overall a very complete and beautiful game!
Hey Arron! Your message came as a pleasant surprise! I'm glad I could help you out at the time. It was a small gesture from my side which had a slightly bigger impact than I thought. A little can go a long way, right? I hope your faith in humanity is restored, even if it's just for a little bit. But with all these great people in the Ludum Dare community, you just know there still are people that are humble, honest and treat others with respect. Thank you for your kind words!
Of course, I also played your game: The premise of this game is really good! There are clear rules and mechanics. But it was a bit unclear how I was doing. I've seen that you didn't have the time to implement health bars and a reloading indicator, that's fair since LD is a race against the clock, but it would make this massively more playable.
The visuals are simple but effective, although it would be nice if the power-ups would stand out more. Maybe with a little glowing ring around them or something. I do like that everything is made out of cubes, it gives it a distinct style!
The A.I. is very impressive, especially for a compo game! The other robot outsmarted me a couple of times but after a couple of playthroughs, I kinda knew how to deal with him.
Overall a very good entry, which could get a lot better with some small additions. Great work!
Very nice entry! Really atmospheric and cold(?). The presentation is top-notch, everything blends together really well. I was not sure what to do with the positive words, so maybe a little bit of a tutorial would be nice I guess . Overall a very interesting and original game!
Congrats on finishing a game! I really enjoyed playing this. Despite not being a technical marvel I had a lot of fun, and that is what counts! I do agree with the points @fingamer comes up with. It would be nice if the player character was a bit more responsive to the input. Also a score counter in-game would be nice. Overall well done!!
Well done! Very comprehensive, but that's where it shows its weaknesses. The UI is confusing which makes it very hard to tell how you are doing. Technically very impressive, but the execution needs a lot of work. Also, it is a bit too similar to FTL (concept and music). Congrats on finishing a game!
This is awesome!!! Really love the hand-drawn visuals and the animation, and let's not forget the audio! It's absurd and that's why I love it. I had to close the game and read the comments before I learned how to poop (this sounds really weird). But after that, I had a lot of fun dodging the ghost and making sure that I had enough time to pour gastric juice on a fried egg in a pan. What I'm trying to say is: overall an awesome game, I can't wait to play the next game!
Well done! Controls are very responsive, art is simple but nice, and I really like the music! Too bad that sometimes when standing on a corner jump did not work, which led to my death a couple of times. I agree with roberth that it would be nice to be able skip the intro, so you can try multiple times in quick succesion. Good job overall!
Cool looking game! The low poly models are really nice! It would be nice if the controls for up and down are inverted (or there is an option to switch it). The music is insane (in a positive way)! There isn't really a build up in difficulty, it just goes up and down, so that might be a small improvement. Overall a very polished and fun game!
Cool game but I'm not sure what it wants to be. Does it want to tell a story (suicidal person tries to save everyone so he can die by the meteor)? Is it just a walking simulator with two endings? Or is the goal of this game evoking these questions? If that is the case you've succeeded. Or maybe I'm just plain wrong.
The graphics are nice, the controls could a tad bit of polish. Overall well done!
Very intense! The tutorial was very welcome, and it did its job very well. I felt like the difficulty was ramping up nicely, and that I was in control (on the contrary of similar card games that feel too random). The graphics are stylish and very appropriate, and so is the sound. The ending is really abrupt, but it also fits the game. I don't really have anything bad to say about this. Impressive!
Very cool and complete game! I really like the small bits of story scattered around, and the changing pledges you make. Also, the voice overs are insane, I love it! Nice touch on the three asterisks that show that there is something more when you finish the 3 areas. And another bonus point for the dude just spinning around helplessly haha.
Very atmospheric, well done!
Cool little game you've made! I like the graphics, they have a really authentic old school look to them. The music was a bit repetitive but better than no music! I really liked the voice overs for the countdown! It would be nice if the game got harder, like if there were more actions to do every round. Overall good job!
Very cool take on snake! These kind of games are still addictive after all these years. The SFX fits the music very well. The only critique I have is that the controls are a bit unresponsive, which is very important in these kind of games. Nice work overall!
Good concept! It is very straightforward which is good IMHO. The graphics are nice, and the camera movement (while choppy) is fun. Too bad the difficulty doesn't increase, and that there is nothing much else to do (upgrades, or a special move or something). Overall very well done!
Cool and cute little game with a message! I didn't expect it to end like this! I find that Bitsy brings out the best of people in terms of storytelling. The minimalistic approach forces people to get creative
@azamatika So I understand that you decide what is a game and what isn't a game? @iggythegrifter made an interactive piece in 48h, all by himself, and he can be proud of that. Please keep your negativity out of this community, or at least give some constructive criticism. :v:
Nice work! Really cool art style, and the music fits perfectly with it! It took me 10 seconds to figure out what to do because the gameplay is straightforward, and it works with 2 buttons. I am really bad at these types of games, but I can image people planning ahead properly and actually play the game well .
A really coherent and polished game, well done!
Very cool game! Played it twice but I couldn't get past 3/4th of the way. The music is strangely addicting, and so is the game. The game really keeps you on your toes and makes you think about your choices. Also the art and SFX are really cool!
Very complete game, well done!
Very cool game! The pixel art is spot on, and so is the music. The controls are a bit wonky, but with a little more polish this game is awesome. Good job!
Very cool concept! A nice puzzle platformer with great graphics and a nice little background story. Really love the animations of the little monkeys. The only downsides are the movement (which is a tiny bit stiff) and that it is made in Flash. Normally when I'm browsing I don't run Flash applets because it is old and unsafe, but you probably know that yourself.
Overall a very polished and fun game!
Very nice idea! I really like the camera movements :). It is a bit hard to control, and your friends get stuck against the wall frequently, so it is hard to punch them towards the enemies. Also, it would be nice to have the controls and mechanics clarification inside the game, especially when the mechanics are so original like yours! Well done!
Very deep for an LD game!! Hard to understand but after a while it gets fun. I'm not a big fan of walls of text, telling me what to do and what not to do, so maybe next time try to incorporate the tutorial in the gameplay. But overall very impressive!
Nice game! Cool graphics, and the SFX are hilarious! The only thing I struggled with was selecting the most nearby plane to attack an UFO. It would be nice if you were able to click on the plane itself, and not on the icon. But overall I had a fun time! Well done!
Very nice atmosphere! The idea is really good, and so are the puzzles that come with it. I had a bit of a hard time controlling my character, and I couldn't get past level 2. Also the overtaking of a body could be a bit faster. The music and visuals are really nice and moody!
Overall a great job!
Very polished entry! Really like the transition effects and the pixel art. The music also is really nice! The slo-mo part was a bit too slow for my taste, it took forever to traverse the level. I also didn't know what my goal was. Overall very nice entry!
Cool game! I don't think I understood all of it haha. What do the agents do? And should I just shoot everyone until I find the boss, or is there a tactic? I really like the style of the graphics! With a bit more depth this could be a really nice game! (Or I just don't understand all of it  ) Nice job!
Very nice concept! I really like the hand-drawn art. You put it as "beautiful, but I really think it looks awesome! The movement is a bit stiff, so it is hard to dodge the attacks. Also the general goal is a bit vague, but after some tries I understood it. Well done!
Very nice game! The graphics and SFX are amazing, and the concept is really good!!
Too bad the game really really hard, so I couldn't survive for longer than 3 rooms. As others suggested, it would be nice if turning didn't cost a turn, so you can properly aim at the baddies.
With a just tiny bit of work this can be an awesome game!!!
Wow, this looks nice! Great graphics, and smooth animations/movements! The gameplay was weirdly addicting too, it felt really satisfying to kill those birds. I don't really have to say anything negative about this, but maybe next time add diversity in birds, or add some powerups? Very nicely done!
Wow, impressive looking game! My little laptop had a pretty hard time running it, but it was manageable .
The visuals are great, and so is the feel if the game. It feels VERY satisfying seeing all those houses flying in the air and then crashing down. But I had a hard time seeing what was going on. Moving my mouse left and right seemed to zoom in and out + rotate the camera, which was very disorienting. Maybe just rotate the camera with Q and E, and zoom out the camera the bigger the tornado gets?
Also killing people didn't really felt like a sacrifice, I didn't feel like it was a choice.
But the concept is really nice, and the presentation is top notch!! Very nice!
Very cool! I was just thinking I did not see a good storytelling game yet, and boom, here it is. The storytelling and switching of mechanics are great, and so is the choice of music. Also, the controls are really tight, I think a lot of lack in this departement, but you've nailed it. After trying 8 times to beat the boss I got what to do, and I got the link with the theme.
Overall a great game!!
Fun game with nice pixel art! I really dig the music, it sticks in your head. Original take on the theme!
Nice concept! The movement works really well, one of the most responsive LD games I've played thus far. It took me a while to figure out the teleport mechanic, but after a while, I rushed through the levels! Nice touch on the health bars above the enemies. Also, the balancing is really good. Not too easy, not too hard. Well done!
Cool game! The thing that is standing out the most is the music, it is very good! I also like the art, it really has a distinct style. The controls are a bit floaty, but it is manageable. The levels are not that interesting, it would be nice if the structure of the levels was a bit more polished. Too bad the game had a JavaScript error at the level with the blue fists. Overall good job!
Wow this is cool! The art, sound, music and controls all blend together very well! This is really polished. LD car games usually control really poorly, but this one nails it. The sacrifice mechanic is weird but works really well. Nothing bad to say about this, except that it needs more levels!!!!!
Great job!
(Oh and please add the Mac and Linux links to this page. Most of the times I click back when I don't see a Mac link, but this time I scolled through the comments and saw by accident there was a Mac build)
Very pretty game! My laptop had a hard time rendering it haha. It would've been nice if there was some audio, also the gameplay is not very exciting. Well done!
First of all, congrats on finishing your first LD game!
A neat game you've made! I really like the intro music and the pixel art. It blends together really well. Nice touch on the intro sequence, it makes the game feel more complete!
The lanes you walk in are a bit close together, it is hard to see where you can and where you can't walk. So it would be nice if they were a bit more spread to left and right, or if the lanes were visible. It is also pretty hard to see what is coming, sometimes you're just trapped and you have no choice but to walk into a bench.
Overall a very nice game! Keep on jamming!
Congrats on finishing your first game! I really had a good time playing this. Love the aesthetics of it, I've never seen anything like this before! The music is also really good, I love it when people use real instruments in their jam game music.
Keep on jamming and RIP :cow:
Interesting game! Even after seeing the tutorial it was a bit hard to understand, but after a while I got it, and made it to land! I'm not a big fan of comprehensive tutorials, but I understand that it was necessary.
Overall it is very polished and complete! Really like the art and sound, and the UI is very slick!
Good job!
Nice entry! Original twist on the good old Tower-Defence genre. Easy to understand, hard to master. The dragging of the colours was a bit of a hassle, and it was a bit unclear how much colour you've got left. The drawings are nice (especially the robot!), and the music is awesome!
Well done!
Very polished entry! The artstyle is very good, and the music fits it perfectly. Nice touch on the buildup in pitch of the frog!
It would've been nice if there was a bit more skill involved, because right now you're in the hands of the RnG gods, and you have little influence.
Overall a very nice entry!!!
Very nice submission! The visuals are simply awesome, and so is the music. The gameplay is original, but a bit slow for my taste. I was a bit of a hassle to swap bodyparts, and the puzzles are pretty hard. Because navigation is not very fluid it was a bit hard to get around town.
Overall a very impressive game, very complete and awesome looking. Well done!
Hello LD friend, you've outdone yourself again! I love the graphics on this one, very coherent and somehow calming. I love the locking-on of the enemy onto your friends, and the way it twirls around them.
I dont think the players' movement should be faster, but it could be bit smoother. Maybe let the player automatically move in the direction of the cursor, since you're always moving to collect friends anyway (and perhaps add a brake button)? Also the music is a bit repetitive, but not really annoying.
That are all the points of improvement I can think of, because it is a really nice experience overall. Everything glues together in a really good way.
Well done!
ps. impressive that you've managed to create an Android version
Nice polished game! I'm really digging the sound design, especially the sound of the rotating mech. It was a bit hard to aim, and the hacking of the doors seem a bit pointless. There was no skill involved, and it was a bit annoying considering you have to use the arrow keys.
Overall a very well made game, good job!
Neat little experience! It has a tutorial which is a big plus, and the graphics are simple but cute. It would be nice if it had some meditative music, and it is a bit too easy to win. Overall very well done!
Nice game! THe concept is really good, but it is a bit rough around the edges. It is too hard to get enough money to buy upgrades. After 5 laps I finally got $200 to buy a gun, but I got captured immediately after closing the shop window. I also thing the shield should not have a timer on it, but should dissapear after getting hit, because it's too hard to predict when you're getting shot.
Overall good concept, but it needs some tweaking. Well done!
Nice game! I never heard of GB Studio before, but I'm definitely trying it out soon! The game has a very nice artstyle, it must've taken a lot of time to create all those assets. The gameplay is a bit too simple, but it provides a nice little experience. I would like to see a bit more action but I guess you ran out of time.
Overall well done!
This is a very good entry! I like the music and the visuals, and how they fit together very well. It was fun to discover what words meant, and how to use them. I feel like I've learned another language! I opened up Notepad next to the game screen, and tried to decipher the words and sentences from there. Well done!
Well done! A bit confusing at the start, but I got the hang of it fairly quick. I really like the graphics, it would be a nice addition if the camera moved a little bit to capture the environment a little better. Overall very nice!
I really like the premise, and the game looks really nice. But I did not have a lot of fun playing this. The controls are in a weird place, and the punching takes way too long, I didn't have the feeling like I was in control. I seems like you guys have created a vast environment with interesting characters, but the controls make it very hard for me to really appreciate it.
This game has a really nice concept. I was a lot of fun to place the turrets in the right way, so was the jetpack mechanic! It felt a but unnatural to place the turrets, I would rather do that with left mouse button or something. The cut scenes are a nice addition, it really improves the mood!
Very cool, this has a lot of promise!
Cool game! A typical Ludum Dare game; short and quirky, and that's how I like them. I really like the art style, really cute. Too bad there is no audio or (basic) animation, that would tie it all together. Well done!
Well done! This game looks great, and has a lot of features! I love the little screen-effects when you're being shot. The controls are a bit clumsy, it would've been nicer if the crosshair just stayed at the center of the screen (like a FPS).
Overall very impressive!
Wow this is super hard! I really like the music and the 3D-modelling, but I could only stay alive for a couple of rounds. When 5 waffles started chasing me I was a goner. Really slick entry, but the gameplay could use some tweaking. Well done!
Very nice game! It took me a while to figure out how it worked, but after that it was fun! Really well made how the wheels adjusted itself, and I liked the wheel rotation sprites. With some polish and some more features, I could see myself playing this a lot.
*(When I got killed some sound got triggered every frame, so that sounded a bit harsh. You might want to check that out :loud_sound:)*
Overall a very well made, and fun game!
A very polished entry! I really like the concept and the graphics, it looks really slick. I'm not sure what the right tactic is to win, or how I am in control of winning. It seemed a bit too random. It would be nice to put some skill based mechanics in it (timing of spawning, dropping bombs etc.). Overall very well made, very solid!
This was a nice experience! The drawing-style is really good, and the music complements that. This has what I want from a Ludum Dare game; a short quirky experience. One small complaint: it would be nice to be able to drop the item in your hand with right mouse-button, sometimes I had to click 5 times before I found the drop-zone.
Overall: very good!
Wow that was trippy! I really liked the graphics and the overall atmosphere. Very slick presentation! To bad it was a bit repetitive and slow. Overall good job!
Cool game! I was a bit confused at the beginning, but after a while I got the hang of it and it got fun! I really like these simple mechanics, that will keep you playing and make you wanting to improve your highscore.
With a bit more explanation (and maybe controls to rotate your planet?) this can be released I think!
Well done!
This is a very slick entry! I don't think the graphics are crappy, they do what they have to do (communicate). The controls feel very good, I felt like I was in control, and any deaths were my own mistake. It could use some audio, and maybe some more "juiciness", but overall a very solid entry!
Great stuff! This game is looking great, I really like the art style. Also the mechanic with the boxes fits the theme very well. The controls are a bit floaty, it would be nice to be able to aim with the mouse. I don't know if there are any more boxes to open, because every time I died after 30 seconds (but maybe I just suck ).
Very slick presentation, and overall a very well made game!
@patricio I played it on PC, without a gamepad plugged in. I do sometimes use my PS4 controller, so maybe it "remembers" that for some reason
Technically very impressive! I can't imagine creating my own engine. The gameplay was okay, but not very innovative or engaging. The music is a bit too piercing on my ears ;)
Congrats on a finished LD-submission!
Looks good! Well it isn't a secret where you've got your inspiration from ;). I like the premise, too bad you couldn't finish the race level. Also the controls are a bit wonky sometimes, I couldn't use the lawnmower when I was close to berries. Overall well done!
Very impressive! The mood it great, I especially like the breathing sounds, it makes the atmosphere very tense. It controls a bit clunky, and it is not always clear what your goal is, so that could use some work. Overall a very well made entry!
One of my favorites so far! I love the storytelling. The story builds up nicely, and it is really well written! On my first play-through the game reset itself, but the knife was gone. Also I got stuck in the shed/cabin, I couldn't move anymore (probably because I was mashing the spacebar ). After I restarted the game I could finish the story :).
I also like the MS-paint style graphics, it really fits the style of game.
Overall: a bit rough around the edges, but it has lots of character!
Cool! The graphics are nice, and so are the animations. I really liked the football-player, why the hell was he there!?!?! I'm not sure what the baseball bats did, and after buying clothes, the music started playing over the already playing music so that was a bit messy. Overall very funny and well done!
Nice game! The graphics and music are really nice, and so is the concept! It felt like a sort of Guitar Hero Platformer. Too bad the feel of the controls don't make you feel like you're in control, the character moves a bit too "floaty". Also it would be nice to immediately restart the level with your keyboard, so you don't have to take your hands off it. But I really like the overall premise, and with a bit of tweaking this could be really addictive!
This is cool! A simple concept, but hard to master. I definitely needs some tweaking, but I already had a lot of fun! It would've been nice if the reeling in was a bit faster, and maybe there could be a bit faster leaf spawning.
I know you didn't have time, but maybe it would be nice to have different types of wood/leafs, that are worth more but are harder to catch (or something like that).
I love how the character Naruto-runs
Well done!
Really cool game! Graphics are great, and so is the gameplay. I think the pickup-stick-animation is taking a bit too long, and lighting the stick should be automatic. But overall a very very solid game!
This is a lot of fun! It is short, fast and intense, and that's how I like it. The sound-FX really finish the job. It has a simple premise, and simple controls, so that's a big plus for a LD game. Too bad there is only one level! Well done!
I like this one. Even if it has no (clear) goal, it is a calming experience. When I discovered that clicking objects made some of them do something, I tried to find out what all the objects did, and before I knew it the experience was over. It would've been nice if there was some sound, but overall a very solid entry!
0:23:434 was my fastest :) Very nice and good looking game. A perfect example of a LD game! Simple, quick and fun. The graphics, music and SFX are very nice. The gameplay is simple but addictive.
I might be nitpicking but I have two points: It would be nice to be able to restart the game immediately, instead of going to the main-menu and then click "begin". And because of the randomization of the cars (which is a nice feature) you can get lucky with your fastest time
Overall very well done, I really liked it!
Hi friend. What a great entry you've submitted this time! It definitely is your best work yet, very impressive! I really like the atmosphere, the sound, music and graphics tie together very well. What I love the most are the animations, it feels like the character is reacting very dynamic to its surroundings.
Overall a very solid entry, i'm already looking forward to your next game!
I have to be honest I had no clue what to do. I do like the music and the visual style, so I clicked "Watch the show" 3 times...and watched the show.
So what can I say? I had no clue of what was going on, but I did really like it!
What a great game! Everything blends together very nicely. The graphics, music, SFX all fits together very well. The gameplay is solid, exactly what I expect from a LD-game. Very well done!
LOL this is chaotic, I love it. The music really helps with the feeling of chaos, and so does the very nice touch of the changing sprite of the cars getting destroyed. I was not able to get the 100% download, because it was a bit too hard to evade everything. Overall well done!
This is a really cool game! It has an original idea, plays smooth and is easy to understand. The graphics are simple but effective, and show the game-state really well. Nice job!
This is a really great experience, with the music and graphics combined. But it was a bit too difficult for me, jumping and shooting at the same time. Very nice game overall!
As others have said before, it was a bit confusing at the beginning, but the looks and music kept me playing! There is a bit of a lack of feedback of what you're doing, and if you are winning or not. After a while I knew what to do and I could win pretty easy. Overall a very polished entry, well done!
Really love the mood this game has. The delicate music and soft voice sucked me in and kept me playing longer than I normally would. The graphics are simple but very efficacious, and so is the gameplay. Games that are deliberately created to be difficult are not really my cup of tea, but I had a really good time playing this game!
I really love the artwork here, all the visuals have a very professional polish. The game is easy to understand, but takes while to get used to. A bit too much RNG for my taste, but maybe that's just my skill. Very nice entry!
Wahed zieke game. Goeie analoge knetter sounds!
It's simple to understand, and hard to master. But the spamming really began to hurt after a while.
Nice game! The hook-shot works well, but it is a bit hard (for me) to stay alive. Love the graphics and the (very programmer-artsy) music. It would've been nice if there was some kind of difficulty ramp, so you can get used to the controls. Overall well done!
This game is very polished, I like it! The graphics have a nice style, and the music is REALLY good! The gameplay is a bit clunky. The first time I didn't see the goat, and I thought I had to control the cart (which did not respond). The second run I noticed the goat, but the dashing only works sometimes. Other rimes the blocks just won't break. Overall a very nice and beautiful entry, well done!
A bit confusing in the beginning, but very polished and attention grabbing overall. I was immediately immersed in the world, also because of the great music. Well done!
This is a typical LD-game that could use another day to really show it's potential. The graphics are nice, and all the systems are in place. But it is a bit too rough to really drag me in. Also the tutorial confused me more than it helped me. Love the piano-notes matching the background music, and the mood overall! Well done!
p.s. next time please leave some substantial feedback, instead of only "full of fun".
This was insane, in the good way! I always hope to find these kind of jams, unfinished but with a lot of character. I like it for what it is!
This is a very polished game, everything fits together nicely! The music, visuals and animations really complement each other. I found it a bit too hard to type on a keyboard with scrambled letters, and unfortunately after a while the mini games got stale. Overall well done!
First of all: congratulations on finishing your first game jam! Finishing a game and releasing it into the wild is a big achievement. I really like the visuals and the sounds, very DIY :). The gameplay was a bit confusing in the beginning, but after a while I got the hang of it and it was pretty easy to complete. Well done!
The game is a bit rough, but I like the premise. I really like the graphical style. The moped is a bit hard to control, and you can clip through the houses and lose your pizza's, which made it a bit frustrating. After all this is a original take on the theme!
Very good looking game, and it plays very smooth. This is a perfect little LD game! The only complaint I have is that it's hard to see where you're moving, because of the transparent floor. Good job!
This game has a very "programmer art" aesthetic, and I like it :). The movement is a bit floaty, but once you're used to that it's fine. I wasn't able to shoot for some reason? The bow was drawn when I pressed space, but no arrow was shot. Well done!
I really love the looks and sounds of this game, it certainly has a spoopy mood. But it was hard to figure out what to do, and the random steering and stopping did not make me feel in control. I would've rather just raced the monster with full controls. But overall well done!
p.s. make sure to add a WebGL link to this page, even if it's the same link as the executable.
Very cool! I really liked the aesthetics and the vibe. The look-speed was a bit slow, but I got used to it after a while. It would be nice to have a bit more variation in the gameplay, but for a jam game it is really well made!
Hey buddy, it has been a while. Glad to see you're still active making games!
Every time you seem to step it up a notch, this game is so detailed! I love how fluid everything moves and responds, and all the details are great (the slowly moving weeds, the evolving fish tail, the fact that you make a jump when you reach the surface :grinning:). The music is very spacy, but also builds tension, I like it a lot!
All in all a great entry, I really enjoyed the experience!
This is a great looking game! The controls take a bit time to get used to, but they're clear after the first 30 seconds. I wish I could play this in fullscreen, I bet it would look great!
Nice original idea! It takes a bit to get into, but after a while you get into the flow and it becomes very relaxing. I like the graphics, they are super clean and functional, and the music is awesome too! Overall a very nice and polished entry!
This is why I love playing LD games! It's simple, silly, and the selfmade sound effects are the icing on the cake. :ok_hand:
The gameplay is easy to understand, and the instructional text also helps a great deal. After a while it became a bit monotonous, and by refusing to place the babies in the cribs I made it a lot easier.
All in all a great and funny submission, well done!
This is a very nice and vibey game overall. I love the art style, very Nederlands! Too bad I'm looking at the sky constantly, I wish I could take in the surroundings more :) As others have said the graphics become very choppy/blurry when going fast, maybe putting the moving parts in the FixedUpdate or LateUpdate might help.
Overall a very cool and polished game, well done!
Nice work! The whole gameplay and controls are immediately clear, so you can jump right in. It runs smooth and looks pretty detailed for a compo game!
My feedback would be: - I'd rather use the keyboard to accept or deny jobs, using the mouse for 1 second at a time was a little bit annoying. - When you release the steering-key it takes a bit too long before the car drives straight again. But now i'm nitpicking
Overall well done!
Cool idea! I really like how everything looks and moves! As others have said the level is too big, and makes things a bit too complicated. It would have been fine to have a really small level, where you could see everything in one screen. And it makes it feel a little less empty!
I want to give extra kudo's for the banging music, and the rotating dog in the menu :dog2:
Very well done, especially for a first Ludum Dare!
I really like this! The models and animations are very cool, loved the dancing and praying animation. Also, the music fits perfectly since the gameplay is pretty relaxed. At first, I wasn't sure about how much fun it would be, but it turned out pretty fun after all! The only downside is that it is hard to see where the bullets are going to be when they reach the platform. Got all 3's and played on for a bit but I guess there is no win-state?
Very well done!
p.s. WOLOLOOOO
@jtn191 Thanks! Do you know when you are going to stream it? We would gladly watch you play our game :) @Fiote Thank you for your kind words!
@TSK Thanks for playing our game! We had the same concept indeed! I really like the art style. It might not be really polished but it surely does have character! I also love the fact that you cannot only place turrets but also can shoot the enemies yourself. The premise is really good, but after a while, you get too overpowered :).
The only real criticism I have is that the character feels too floaty, as if you are in space.
Very nice entry, especially for your 1st one! See you guys next jam!
@whateverdat thanks for the detailed review! All your suggestions make a lot of sense, and it makes me want to work more on the game haha.
I did not know Alien Shooter, but I looked it up and it looks awesome! Exactly the gameplay that I like. I've also heard that my game reminded them of Dead Nation or Teleglitch, and I think Alien Shooter is a nice addition to the list :)
Very nice game! The visuals and the audio work really well together. You really feel like you are sneaking around town, trying to solve the mystery.
But after collecting 2 transmitters I ran into an agent, and I didn't want to do all of it again.
Really solid and complete entry!
A very coherent looking and sounding game! Everything fits really well together. The only problem was that I never found out what I was really doing. I could progress by trial and error, but it was unclear why and when to use the phone.
A little bit more of player guidance might make it really complete! Well done
Very cool! I never have seen such detailed audio controls as in this game. I loved playing around with all the sliders, trying to get a unique sound. The hard part was first: finding out to do, and second: finding out what the CEO's liked. With some more polish and guidance this could be a game i would play more often!
Very nice and complete entry! The tank controls really smooth, and the graphics are awesome! Also the sound it very good for a compo game!
Aiming is a bit hard, especially because the terrain is so bumpy, sometimes you stop on a little hump and your aim is completely off. Also the camera made me a bit seasick :)
But it is great fun to drive around and shoot enemies, and that is what's most important. Well done!
This was awesome! I was immediately completely into the story (which is very nicely written) and wanted to know what would happen next. The repetitive tasks made it kind of zen which was cool.
Also a big shoutout for the music, I really like how you layered more sounds after each scene! It really adds to the vibes.
The graphics are pretty well made, this is no programmer art. But it could use a little more 'juice'.
All in all, it is a very fun and complete entry, nice!
Very cool concept! The overall game feels very polished for a Compo entry. The art is nice, the music and SFX work, and the controls do what you expect them to do.
When the levels get harder it becomes a bit too much of trial and error, but nothing some polish and visual cues can fix in an eventual "real" release.
Well done
Cool game! Pretty easy but fun to play! I liked how well the sound of the radar reacted to the distance of a "swimmer". Also the art is nice to look at and shows clearly what to do. The most fun was trying to get as many people on your hook in one sweep.
Overall a nice and fun game!
Great game, I really had fun playing it! The art is really nice, and is coherent. Movement and interactions feel snappy, and the audio really ties it all together.
I needed a couple of tries to reach the end, but it was really nice you've implemented checkpoints! Otherwise I might gave up earlier.
Overall a very complete experience that I really liked!
The music is AWESOME, one of the best I ever heard in a game jam! The smooth line art complements it all and makes it a coherent experience. What i did not get was the scanner width. Is there a penalty for making it too large? Also sometimes i just could not find the shape and had to press the hint button. But overall this is such a nice experience, i'm glad i played this!
Super fun concept! Tweaking the knobs to ‘repair’ each track was way more engaging than I expected, and the crowd reactions really sold the vibe. A bit fiddly to turn the dials at times, but overall a really entertaining loop that made me want to hear the next song.
Cool game, the highlight is definitely the graphics. I love the low poly/unshaded style, and the animations and effects are also pretty good for a LD game! It took me a little while to understand what i needed to do, but when i got it i blasted through it in no time.
The mouse look felt a bit weird, as if i was pulled towards a direction, and did not have complete control.
Overall a fun entry!
I wish I knew what to do, but I have no clue
I did the tutorial, then I looked at the instructions on the page, and some things happened on screen. But I don't know if it was good, and what to do next.
Sorry!
What the heck have I just played :grinning: The first 5 seconds were pretty calm, and then chaos ensued haha People dying, cars exploding, nobody listened to my instructions, it was CHAOS
Love the voice acting, and the models are very cool too! This is what I want from a LD game, pure fun and insanity.
The only thing you could do better are the controls, i never had a clue where i really was going, but that also helped with the chaos.
Well done!
Nice concept, and great execution! The highlight of this game are the voice lines, I had to laugh a little every time the robot said WATER, and i don't know why haha. Graphics are pretty slick, and the music fits the space theme well. Only orbiting the planet and controlling the robot is a bit finnicky, but overall its very well done!
Really fun little rail‑management puzzle! Juggling STOP/REVERSE signals gets tense fast, especially with the quicker trains. A simpler first level would help ease players in, but the core idea is solid and satisfying. Well done!
Very atmospheric entry, i like it! The CRT effect really works for this game, and the graphics overall are very nice. I love how the little guys walk around. It feels very complete, with all the mechanics you were able to put in this. It took me a while to understand that i had to select a building, and then i could do something. My only gripe is that building and generating takes a bit too long for a small gamejam game. A lot of the time i just was waiting until i was strong enough to attack. Overall a very polished and complete entry!
Very cool visual style! When I saw the cover image I didn't even realize it was in 3D, so that was a pleasant surprise
I did go to the ceiling, and I tried to interact with the computer and the other thing, but because I was looking at an angle it didn't register the interaction. Luckily I saw the comment above and found the door after all.
I'm not big of a reader in games, but I really like your style of writing. It was fun to read and really pushed the game forward. But after 8 tries I still could not get past the escape-pod part, and I gave up  (So maybe I haven't even seen the grand finale?)
Overall a very fun and original game!
This was fun! What I like the most is how tactile the buttons feel. And that is because of the audio of pressing and turning the knobs. Also the animation when you receive the signal makes it exiting to see how close you are.
The hand drawn art and the little animations make it complete. It is a simple but satisfying experience. Well done!
I really like the overall grittiness of the presentation. Everything fits really well together. Also the theme of checking an engine with your body is very dark :)
Everything moves really smooth, and the hand and eye graphics add to the mood of the game.
Like the others, I could not pick up more resources so you might want to fix that asap.
Damn this fun, but also hard! I love the simple premise, it works real well for a gamejam game. The graphics are nice and old-school. But the blinkers are pretty hard to see, especially when there are a bunch of cars on the screen and you also have to click 6 other cars :)
Overall a very solid entry, well done!
The art is very nice! It's cool to see an actual artist make something, in this barrage of programmer-art. The concept is simple but it works, i had fun playing it. But I wasn't sure if the cigarette got smaller or not? I never reached the end haha.
Well done!
Really atmospheric and surprisingly absorbing. The mix of scanning, collecting signals, and slowly piecing together the world works super well. Loved the little discoveries, though I also found myself wishing I had just a bit more time to read everything. Great vibe and very polished for a jam!
I really liked this one! It's easy to understand but hard to master! Maybe a little bit too hard sometimes, but I think if the shooting direction could be controlled independently from the move direction the difficulty would be perfect.
The SFX and the music where good and really fit the whole theme of the graphics and the gameplay.
Well done!
Great gamejam game! Easy to pick up, fun to play, hard to master ;) The graphics are really cool, and the music makes it very tense! There was a problem with the rendering, the screen had a pretty small size, and around it i saw the skybox and some glitching black blob. But it did not get in the way of the gameplay luckily. Overall well done!
This game got a very dystopian vibe, and i like it! It controls a bit finicky but that also fits the whole mood. It took me some time to actually start the game, i don't know if the buttons didn't respond the first time, or that i pressed the wrong buttons. The overload mechanic can work, but now it is too random i think. You have no control over it, and just have to get lucky to find the right node in a few steps. Overall very atmospheric, well done!
Yeah, shoot everything that moves and you don't have to press fire :fist: ! I really like these kind of games (especially with all the puzzle games this edition). It's simple but it is fun, and the hand drawn graphics give it a nice touch. The game feels responsive and fair, which is the most important in these kind of games. Nicely done!
Really cool concept! Once I understood how the anchors affected movement, the loop became surprisingly engaging. Some clearer early feedback (especially on hits and upgrades) would make it even smoother, but the core idea is strong and has a lot of potential.
This was fun! The graphics are nice and crunchy, and the gameplay is really solid. Once you get in the flow of the routers' loop, it becomes a dance to shoot at enemies, dodge bullets and stay in range of the router.
The only critique I have is that the cursor blends in with the graphics, it would have been nice to have a contrasting crosshair. And the gunshot sounds could use a little bit more punch :)
Overall a really cool game!
Cool concept, I had fun completing all the levels! It all runs very smooth, and the controls react how you expect them to. The gameplay is easy to understand, and getting more actions to perform keeps you playing. The only critique I have is that you often don't know where you are going, and the only way to know is to just blindly go somewhere and then hope you hit the ladder.
Overall well done!
Very interesting game! First of all: it looks great, I really think the CRT effects are lifting the graphics up. The audio is very functional, and I'm also happy that there is no chiptune music blasting in my ears :) It works perfectly with the graphics.
At first I thought the gameplay was too simple, but because you can level up every time you die you want to keep playing. I also like that there is no tutorial needed, after you die once or twice you know what everything does.
Overall well done!
Very interesting and original! It took me a while to understand what I was doing, but after that it was fun to make as much money as possible.
This seriously has potential when it is polished and refined! Very nice work!
Very interesting game with a lot of mechanics! The warbly rubbery character reminds me of Loco-Roco, which is one of my favourite games ever
The controls feel a bit finicky, and sometimes it is more luck than skill to complete a level. But overall it is a very impressive entry!
