LD46 — Keep it alive

Promethean Legacy: Fan the Flames by quill18 2020-05-10T13:25:40Z

Great game! I spent quite a while playing until I managed to win. Very addicting! The soundtrack was unique and fitting super well with the game; it did so much for the mood! Really felt like a complete game. Thanks for the experience!

Bobbleheads want to dance by jk5000 2020-05-10T12:55:48Z

I loved this! So simple yet so engaging! The narration is glorious. I would have liked to see more bobbleheads joining the party at the end, as even at the ending it felt easy to play. Would be better if you were to lose because you couldn't keep up rather than just having to abandon the beautiful bobbleheads when the game stops giving you any more content to go on with.

Locked'goshi by StabAlarash 2020-05-10T13:53:53Z

Very cute game! Great art style, and nothing beats pooping for hours on end.

Human Spiderweb by miziziziz 2020-05-10T12:03:47Z

As disgusting as it is fun! The voices were spot on. I loved the mechanic of having to sacrifice your other parts in order to get to the door!

Morose by 100th_Coin 2020-05-10T12:34:43Z

Really nice art style! Loved Tilde's mad face. Great game mechanic, and the fact that you managed to add an engaging storyline makes it all the better!

Your Pet Alien by AdonisDevs 2020-05-10T12:43:17Z

Not sure if i was supposed to see mom around the house before she came in, because she was totally just appearing from nowhere. Poor alien is not going to be able to live long :( Interesting mechanic and atmosphere!

My Pet's Dungeon by N.O. Games 2020-05-10T13:22:52Z

Great game! The idea of having to keep the pet safe from danger is probably the most fitting theme idea I've seen so far. There's a great sense of urgency in protecting something that keeps trying to die! The pet refusing to flee is a good thought on paper but it felt like a very punishing mechanic and maybe it could be modified in a way that makes it more fun and less annoying. Also the music was excellent! Great job on that. Good effort for even making a different song for the theme. I just had to stick around in the theme menu until the track was over! Both tracks are really good fits for the game mood as well.

In A Game Wherein by SSStormy 2020-05-10T13:39:18Z

Recursion plot twist got me good! Nice writing and atmosphere.

Primed by gimblll 2020-05-10T13:49:25Z

Feels great to play, and the endings are great! Felt so bad after I realized I had killed the mighty dobo :( Would have loved to play longer.

RuneBeat by nyxkn 2020-05-11T15:17:02Z

@quinn-patrick Thanks! Yeah I realized more feedback would have been the next best addition to the game. Making a rhythm game turned out to be more difficult than I imagined! Thanks for the support :)

LD48 — Deeper and deeper

The Limbo Runner by jk5000 2021-04-28T18:50:46Z

I loved this! The humor was really good, and the whole atmosphere very fitting. I loved the stadium cheering and the voice over. The game was a little too difficult to play and I couldn't get past the semifinals. It's hard to gauge how tall the obstacle is.

Bass Drop by TimTipGames 2021-04-28T17:12:32Z

18160

Good track and very nice visuals. Out of sync unfortunately. I also tried to make a rhythm game for some other ludum dare and mine was also not in sync :D One day I'll figure it out.

Tic-Tac-Run! by mvasko2 2021-04-29T14:23:12Z

Super fun! Gets very challenging very quickly, which I think is good! But some times it felt like there was not actually enough time to avoid everything.

Dukes of Debt by binroot 2021-05-05T06:51:49Z

Really cool! The setting and atmosphere are great and it feels like a very nice place to be in. Art is lovely and music fits really well. Mechanics have to be discovered through some messing around but otherwise not very hard to get. Figuring out the strategy is the best part!

Embark by Pseudohausen 2021-04-29T14:18:43Z

That was amazing!! I ended up playing until I maxed out the upgrades, and would have played more. Visuals are super nice, but I actually think music is what really makes this so beautiful. Grats!

GriDelve by fixxel 2021-04-29T12:32:45Z

Took a while to figure out what was going on. And when I did it didn't turn out to be very fun :D Visuals were really nice! And mechanics seem very well implemented. But ultimately seems more of a technical exercise than a game.

"Say Aaaah...!" by gilborn 2021-04-29T14:39:35Z

This was absolutely horrifying :D I felt my own teeth hurt. It was surprisingly fun to see the damage I was doing to this poor man's teeth. Music fits quite well the eerie atmosphere of this ungodly game :) Thanks for the experience!

LD Double Feature: D'pur & Deepir by John Chapman 2021-05-04T07:19:59Z

1180ft - At the end on the right screen the trees spawned to completely block the path. Really fun game! I thought it was going to be easy but towards the end it got surprisingly extremely challenging. The animations were really well made.

Deep Voice by mdotedot 2021-04-27T19:55:48Z

Lonely Journey by blockerz 2021-04-29T12:50:08Z

I really like the idea! However it didn't turn out to be very fun as it was mostly just waiting for fuel to refill.

Deeper Trance by dhim 2021-04-27T20:20:18Z

What a unique experience! The theme was absolutely spot on, both with the game concept and the music. It took me a while to get to see the thing, but it all seemed very impressive when I did!

Dangerous Mine by fraanns 2021-04-29T12:19:46Z

Really well executed mechanics! The weapons needing replacement was a little annoying. A recharge system would have been more fun without all the menuing. Bombs were super fun!

Dynamite Depths by Peter Jonsson 2021-04-29T12:06:10Z

Game feels and looks very smooth! I thought the song was a little annoying. The puzzles were great! Maybe the early levels were a little too easy.

LD48: Down the Rabbit Hole by LMB 2021-05-17T19:29:22Z

Actually really fun game! Managed to snatch a mug for myself :) The powerful drill as a wobbling box was adorable. Music fit very well too! Overall there didn't seem to be much use for oil. Maybe it should have been running out faster, but I wonder if that would have made the game a bit too difficult/frustrating. Anyway, it was a very pleasant playing experience. Everything was very smooth and the game goal was clear and relatable. Level generation felt a little random in regards to difficulty. Sometimes you'd have the easiest time gathering things with few bugs attacking, and others they'd swarm you from the start. Really nice immersion as I actually felt an endearing attachment to the drill and the mission <3

Stabalot by bw_devel 2021-04-26T21:43:03Z

Cute game! The sprites were adorable, and loved the characters names! The spike was definitely going a bit slow and a way of speeding it up would have been great. Sound effects were pretty cute. The first section felt like it didn't matter much how to play it and spamming X seemed the best strategy.

The Falling Knight V.S the Endless Pit of Dark Despair by ilPrinny 2021-04-29T13:01:37Z

This was a really good game! The art was really nice, and the gameplay very fun! Took a minute to figure out the mechanics, but once I got the hang of it it was really cool. The kills requirement for level two was very high so I didn't end up getting past that. Oh and the animations were excellent!

In the Hole by Kramdar 2021-05-05T06:21:14Z

That was really cool! I got to 25km down but my debt was just getting worse and worse :D Was it actually possible to get out of debt? If not it's still great social commentary :) The art style for the base was really nice! Intro music is spot on. Actually very addicting game! Clicking on selling water didn't do anything, not sure if intended or bug. Cheers!

Nyctofobia by Cubanfrog 2021-04-29T13:41:54Z

That was awesome! Music and art were so good! Gameplay was also very smooth. Just wish there was more to the ending! Other than that 10/10.

THE SUBMARINER by Ian Kettlewell 2021-05-05T06:39:46Z

This was actually a lot more fun than I initially thought! It doesn't give a good impression at the start; the submarine looks very uninspiring. But as soon as you get to the monsters and get the missile it feels really good! Really nice art for the monsters and explosions feel great. At the ending I could get the fishes to follow me up in the sky ahahah. Ending music was really nice.

Eye of Skozrack by Echo GameWorks 2021-05-04T07:46:26Z

I really wanted to like this and get to the end but it was just too frustrating at times! The art is gorgeous, and the amount of polishing is spot on. The eyeball bouncing recovery felt really good at first but got annoying quickly. The delay between shooting attempts and the difficult level layouts made for a frustrating experience in an otherwise amazing looking game! Setting also felt very interesting. Sadly didn't get to make it to the end to see if there was a cool ending!

Hungry Jungle by mitsu.artemius 2021-05-04T07:36:12Z

Interesting game and mechanics. Very nice art! Sound effects were a little annoying. The controls were mighty confusing though. Took me a while to understand properly. I stopped playing after a few levels, as there didn't seem to be an ending in sight or purpose for continuing (a quest line or something would have made it more compelling).

Coal Mine: Terrorist Takedown by exewin 2021-04-29T13:19:54Z

Loved the cutscenes. I thought the game was quite boring... until I found the machineguns. Then it was fun :) Should have probably had that from the start not to turn away the players. Nice ending. Still not sure what the other items were other than health and guns.

Down the Dwarvern Hole by TheseusInABottle 2021-04-27T20:03:48Z

The graphics were adorable!! The dialogue lines were very fun but they did play a bit too often and would cut in on the previous one. Gameplay was also very fun :D

Into The Depths by Nisovin 2021-04-28T19:06:35Z

1485

This is VERY addicting. I just had to stop playing. The screen would get quite trippy at times, not sure if intended or not, but might have been a little too uncomfortable at times. I didn't like the missle mechanic very much: it was quite hard to use and didn't seem particularly effective.

Redeeppedeer by toasteater 2021-04-29T13:34:43Z

That was actually pretty cool! Very disappointed it wasn't any longer. Moefall is also awesome! Excellent music. Browsing The Deep was a little clunky. Can we know what would have happened to Alisa? :)

Jamie's Jam by soundgnome 2021-05-04T07:01:12Z

I loved this! The mood is perfect (great music!). Doing the puzzle solving was actually quite fun and everything moved responsively and had a good feel. Plot was very intriguing too; just had to get to the end :D

Dig 'Till You Drown! by Yeomsley 2021-05-05T07:08:30Z

Niceee! I got to 18 gems and got the girl. The character was cute and game mechanics quite fun. Controls were a bit wonky. The hooking of the pickaxe onto ledges was a pretty fun idea though and made me chuckle when introduced.

Tetra Rogue by Ryan Harriman 2021-05-14T19:37:24Z

Nice! I remember playing the game in FF9 and being absolutely addicted to it. Thanks a lot for the refreshing the memories :D Overall I'd say it's a little confusing. I had a rough idea of how it would work but most of the times I'd just be guessing and hoping I'd get things to flip :) It wasn't obvious how flip chains would go down. Menuing was a little confusing too and it wasn't so clear where you had to click to move on. With some sounds and music and slighly more intuitive UI it would have been excellent!

Astral Descension by nyxkn 2021-04-27T20:32:44Z

@bw-devel Thanks for the feedback my friend! Thanks a bunch for spotting the white background issue on itch.io, which I did manage to change to a darker color. Life saver! The pixel border in-game sounds like a masterful idea actually; will keep that in mind for future games!

Astral Descension by nyxkn 2021-04-30T20:22:15Z

@toasteater @kraemahz @john-chapman @nisovin

The low contrast was not intentional unfortunately. On my machine it does look noticeably different. Is it because I have a shit monitor? :D I'll have to be more careful about this. Thanks for the heads up!

Deep Paper by axeltherabbit 2021-04-28T19:27:48Z

I literally had no idea how to play or what to even look for :D

Voyage of Science and Legacy by NoNumbersGames 2021-04-29T14:30:08Z

This was actually super cool. I loved it! So emotional. Wish it had liftoff sounds and some quindar :) Storytelling comes out really strong. Almost shed manly tears at the end.

Afraid to Turn by rhoff95 2021-04-27T19:31:14Z

Loved the atmosphere! Extremely immersive. The wolf feels like a proper mechanic for the mood, but it was mildly annoying and throwing the rocks didn't quite scare him as I was expecting it to.

10,001 - A space exploration game by tengusheath 2021-05-11T13:50:06Z

Very nice! The music is so fitting! Love the space ex concept. The gameplay was a little boring without the coordinates to check out that you provided. Font was a little small and hard to read.

I'm So Deep by liammasters 2021-04-27T19:36:48Z

I have no idea what I was doing or supposed to be doing, but it made me smile a lot :D

Adam Wilks' Ant Colony by Adam Wilks 2021-05-05T06:29:49Z

I think it's a super cool concept and I really wanted to like this, but the controls are way too hard and confusing and the pacing is super slow. Cool prototype of something that could definitely become interesting.

Into the Abyss by oeschmid 2021-04-27T20:42:54Z

I actually couldn't get past the first boulder level :( The flavor text was really cool, and the sounds really fitting!

Hammer It In! by audioBusting 2021-05-04T07:10:20Z

This was surprisingly addicting! 220 in 140s I assume that was the victory screen but I was left a little puzzled whether it really was or not. The backgrounds are a really smart way of conveying plot! The hammer sound got a little annoying after a while. Music was very bare but somehow fitting. One of the best use of the theme I've seen!

Into The Depth by Szymon OGD 2021-04-27T19:48:09Z

Very *immersive* experience :) Loved the sound, cute graphics. I wished the torpedos had a more forgiving hitbox, and that the depth counter would move a bit quicker! Spot on with the theme.

Lord Of The Flies by PixelPortalz 2021-04-27T20:55:14Z

This was so much fun! Super solid entry. I approached this with skepticism but the humor was absolutely on point and the gameplay was glorious! Sounds and diaglogues are beautiful. Ended up playing until I managed to win.

Unto the Eight by Threeli 2021-05-11T14:19:01Z

Very nice atmosphere! It was a little frustrating to play though, and difficulty/confusion is a bit overwhelming. Really nice music and sounds! Dialogues and overall mood was really cool.

Outvoyage by jamr 2021-04-29T14:01:37Z

Pretty cool! Who doesn't love flying through asteroid belts? Too bad there's no sounds. I would have tried more times if reaching the asteroids didn't take so long!

Who Designed This Ship?! by BhanosTheGameDev 2021-05-05T07:14:58Z

Got to 57. Quite fun! The character and animations were adorable. Definitely would be more entertaining with some sound effects.

Run little one, run by Para_no_ 2021-04-26T21:54:05Z

Seemed fun, but couldn't play! Moving the mouse was way too sensitive and I'd just keep spinning very quickly.

fallen_down by iuunno 2021-04-29T12:24:03Z

There's not much in the way of gameplay, but the idea seems quite nice! If we were meant to see the next sigil shape then a different camera angle might have been better for visibility.

Acceptance by wooliii 2021-04-28T17:06:34Z

Wow, absolutely loved the experience! Difficulty progression was perfect, with a couple minutes spent on the last level. Music track was beautiful. Wished the character would move faster as I'd rather think the level through before I start moving, and then I just want to spam click to execute. Also really wished there was a deeper plot to the storyline, like if it had been revealed what had happened.

Eye will see you down there by vegmuffin 2021-04-26T21:50:22Z

Felt like there was very little incentive to move sideways. I'd just stay in one lane and press down when it was clear or to avoid enemies. Optimal route but also a little boring. Also there didn't seem to be advantages to warping with the eyes as it would mostly send you back! Cute sounds and idea could be developed into a fun game I think!

Down Below by LilleSkutt 2021-05-05T07:20:07Z

This was almost fun :) It was a bit too hard, and not seeing what monsters you were going to run into was very unforgiving. It would have been good to find more health along, or just have more life! The falling down the cliff was pretty cool. Didn't manage to get much past there though.

Blue Square and the Mystery Cave by asdehielo 2021-05-11T14:09:48Z

Beautiful! Really interesting mechanic and quite enjoyable. Loved the ending and playing with the dark!

Dreamania by Gomega 2021-04-29T12:40:44Z

Extremely nice art! The sleep/dream mechanic was really cool too. The game itself didn't feel very fun (uninspiring weapon!) and a little frustrating. Difficulty was a little off, as a level would start slowly with 1 or 2 enemies and all of a sudden the screen would be full and you'd have to run for the pillow!

Vibin' Secrets by mDuo13 2021-04-28T19:39:24Z

This was actually a lot more entertaining than I initially expected! Some sounds would have made this an outstanding experience. In some levels it was hard to tell what were the collidable surfaces. The plot was really nice, although of course it would have been nicer if the ending was a bit more mysterious than that :D

SPERMA by the neon shark 2021-04-27T20:28:29Z

I knew someone would have made something like this as soon as I saw the theme :D Very well made! Gameplay was a little confusing and I couldn't figure out how to use Space properly. But really cool atmosphere! Theme couldn't be more approriate :)

Bob's Depth by phealsout 2021-04-28T19:23:14Z

Took a while to figure out how to play! But I actually liked having to experiment and discover how to kill the mobs. Very interesting mechanics! A little frustrating at the beginning though until the mechanics are figured out. But I did like it enough to want to grind to the end!

LD49 — Unstable

Rival Sniper by Hjalte 2021-10-13T21:17:12Z

Really liked the setting and atmosphere! The theme of the sniper was really interesting although maybe not too fitting with the jam theme. Quite fun overall! Sometimes it was a little confusing to know what to do, and the text was hard to read.

Girl in a red car by Listonos 2021-10-07T21:13:10Z

This was beautiful! Really well written and very intriguing. Commands were a bit long to type and it took me a while to realize I could use tab completion, but then it was quite smooth. Might have been cool to also use the typical one-letter shortcut aliases for the commands. Good game! The whole terminal realization was very well done and felt buttery smooth.

Cryptomancer by ninjacreeper47 2021-10-08T13:49:34Z

I had very little idea of what was going on :)

Volatile Valkyrie by madjackmcmad 2021-10-08T14:10:11Z

Very cute game. Lovely art and animations! Fighting the projectile monsters felt a bit annoying. Some of the controls like the down+attack seemed very unintuitive.

Nails, the great genius by Vivoubos 2021-10-09T20:16:51Z

I loved the sound effects! Made me laugh a couple times. Controls are fine, but the drone having collisions was a little annoying. Overall quite fun to play. I got stuck at the level with the door and the two keys. I could not pick up the keys and couldn't continue.

Okay & Alright by aeveis 2021-10-08T13:03:14Z

A very beautiful experience. Would have been perfect if not ruined by the painfully slow pacing! The visuals are so simple and yet so charming!

Greedy Miner by KOHCEPBA 2021-10-14T21:07:27Z

The theme of having to rebuild after the disasters was really interesting! The game went on for a little too long but otherwise was quite fun.

Our autopilot is somewhat unstable... by mborecki 2021-10-07T18:56:51Z

The controls are a bit clunky, lots of mouse clicking. I liked the presentation and the graphics. User interface could be smoother to use.

Chain React TD by Ramperkash 2021-10-19T20:52:57Z

Didn't feel very fun to play and the pacing is very slow. There were way too many monsters for the effectiveness of the towers!

Burning Down the House by doomshmuck 2021-10-08T12:55:09Z

Nice little game. I initially thought the red squares were the damage when it was really just the warning and that got me quite confused. Also wasn't sure shooting the fire was the correct thing to do at the start due to the lack of feedback that my shots were doing anything to the fire. Still managed to somehow beat the game on the first try!

SCANLINE by pdotjpg 2021-10-08T13:23:00Z

Very cute. Had to really turn on my brains for this one. Got stuck eventually anyway :( Really cool atmosphere!

Nucleon Soup by Schuster 2021-10-14T21:45:51Z

Seemed like a very interesting idea. At the beginning I was trying to be careful about which particles to pick up but towards the end it was mostly random and I somehow managed to win. The music became a little uninteresting after a while, and I wished the atom would move a little faster maybe. I liked the simple graphics and overall it was quite intuitive gameplay to pickup.

Slime-a-pult by Swen 2021-10-13T20:26:22Z

Very cute slime sprite! The controls worked ok but this type of game I always find a bit hard/annoying to play. Maybe the game was a little too long and monotonous. Could have been a little shorter or easier/faster to traverse to keep players more engaged.

Politics and Power Grids by DaleP 2021-10-10T21:59:07Z

The setting was really interesting! I felt like a proper corrupt politician; my secret life dream :) I chuckled quite a bit reading the text. But the gameplay itself didn't feel very engaging and it was a little confusing. At some point I unexpectedly sold a million generators in one go and made lots of money which felt good. But no idea what I was doing really :)

Cesium Factory by Flightless 2021-10-19T20:50:33Z

This was so fun once I figured out a good strategy! Actually managed to complete all levels. And it seems there are a few different strategies available, so it's quite fun to experiment. I thought the music wasn't very interesting. The crane was a little frustrating to control but it was getting more comfortable towards the end.

Spherry by Rewzu 2021-10-19T20:22:45Z

The catballs are adorable. Ended up playing the game for a couple minutes. Gameplay feels smooth and intuitive. I didn't like the forced pause at the stage completion popup because I'd often mess up which direction to start with after the pause. With some music and maybe some difficulty ramp up this could be really entertaining!

Unstable Matter by thesedatedprince 2021-10-09T20:45:25Z

Really nice game idea! The music was really cool. Lots of that hero feel going on. It took me a while to figure out how to beat the last boss. Quite fun and appropriately challenging!

Un's Table by IndigoWolf 2021-10-08T14:23:32Z

Very nice theme idea and quite funny! Gameplay itself is very clumsy and not very fun. Hard to control the characters, the food disappears, and clicks don't work as expected.

BIG BAD LAB by ddolgov 2021-10-19T21:00:59Z

Really cute graphics! I liked the minigames. I found the drawings of the arrow keys a little hard to read. And the wave matching felt a little glitchy visually. I didn't like how the same machine would break immediately after repairing it, and it made me second-guess whether my work had succeeded or not. It's quite fun at first but gets repetitive very soon. This could have been a lot more immersive with some 8bit music!

Sir BaLancelot by FabDynamic 2021-10-12T21:28:27Z

Very nice game! Felt really fun to bash through the walls. The music was excellent and very fitting I found.

Giant Horse Deathball by fakefirefly 2021-10-07T18:46:52Z

I have no idea what this was :) Hard to tell if I was using the controls as intended. Music was pretty cool though :D

Bad Buckets by PurpledArtFrog 2021-10-08T13:59:31Z

Quite hard to play! Not being able to pickup buckets when dirty was a bit confusing, and getting dirty seemed a bit random. Took me a while to understand what was happening.

Unstable Apocalypse by Benjamin123 2021-10-12T21:35:36Z

Gameplay wasn't too fun. The shooting felt nice but only with the rifle and the shotgun. But the handgun didn't feel very fun to use. The background sounds of the reactor (?) or alarm was a little annoying. Got to smash 106 zombies though!

Badly Designed Cargo Delivery Pad by jka 2021-10-10T21:19:12Z

Cute idea. Game felt a bit too frustrating at times. Definitely a really good match for the theme!

Picasso Bridge Disaster by TheWustache 2021-10-07T20:49:24Z

Really cute! Collisions bugged out on the red and blue cars level. Couldn't get the bridge to stay up. But of course the wonkiness of physics is what makes these things super fun :D

Unstable Prison by Barrier 2021-10-12T21:20:04Z

The ghosts were definitely VERY creepy. Really nice game though! Very well made and the atmosphere is really effective. Maybe some creepy bgm would have helped even more.

Gem of Stability by JakobTheQuizGuy 2021-10-08T13:30:50Z

253 seconds. This was glorious! Everything feels just right. Great visuals and amazing sound design. At some point difficulty ramped up very quickly and was very difficult to keep up.

Crisis: Reactor by arkinrev 2021-10-09T20:34:47Z

This was so immersive! Really well done. I failed 300k light years away from home :( Wasn't sure how to restore the pressure thing. I really liked the lights going on and off; that added so much to the experience.

Scoop the Pool by DecadeDecaf 2021-10-07T19:19:23Z

Excellent production quality! The graphics was adorable and the GUI very aesthetically pleasing, albeit not immediately obvious. I wasn't really sure how the scoring worked or what the strategy was supposed to be like, so I just kept playing pretty much randomly, but was still quite fun :D

Trick Or Retreat II by Lone_Wolf 2021-10-08T14:12:39Z

Cute! Very short but controls and gameplay felt quite nice.

Grim Tripper by Skleembof 2021-10-07T19:03:13Z

No idea what this was but I had a laugh :D I just attached myself to the dudes and they'd run away killing themselves. Not sure if that's what I was supposed to do. Nice graphics and fun animations but not much in the way of gameplay.

10 minutes to instability by José Bonilla 2021-10-09T20:59:54Z

Sound didn't work for me. Also didn't really know what to do :D

Arrithmetic by Dimini Inc. 2021-10-14T20:44:14Z

Got to the third equation. I consider this an achievement. The timer for the questions were REALLY short. WAY too short. It could have maybe started off slower and increased in difficulty with time.

Grabanakki by Saturnyoshi 2021-10-10T20:35:03Z

Really cute game! The controls were a little difficult and the game felt more difficult than I initially imagined. Didn't end up being too fun as it was quite stressful due to the clunky controls.

Oopsie Potion by CodeRaurus 2021-10-13T20:01:01Z

Really cute graphics! Gameplay feels smooth enough but there seems to be little replay value. After completing the game a couple times there's not much else to do! The only complaint is that it's a little hard to tell where the acid is flying to.

Runstable by FluffyGameDev 2021-10-12T20:30:11Z

Really well done game! The controls work very smoothly and it makes for a very fun ninja-like experience.

....To the Ends of the World and Back by Peace Of Cake Games 2021-10-13T20:09:12Z

Potentially an interesting idea! But currently not too engaging and not very fun unfortunately :( I also had some problems with the mouse not getting grabbed correctly.

Gunslinger Glitch by ugly_robot 2021-10-08T14:18:14Z

I was CONSISTENTLY shooting humans omg. Game seemed quite well made and the elevator mechanic was quite interesting. Other than the frustration of not really knowing how to do better at the game it was quite nice.

Humble Homestead by Tharbakim 2021-10-07T21:17:22Z

Couldn't really figure out what to do! The camera scrolling was also very frustrating. It seemed like it could have been a good game!

Hard Drive Homicide by Noam Zeise 2021-10-12T20:22:51Z

The linux build segfaults on my archlinux machine!

Better Tomorrows by DzejPi 2021-10-19T21:17:06Z

Really nice game! Somehow managed to do have very good immersion even without much in the way of sounds and music. The plot unfolding through letters is very well thought out. I did get arrested tho :( Overall the gameplay could have been made a little more engaging. Once you figure out how well the upgrades do you can just sit there and watch the money counter.

Ropy Woply Doo by Jackaljk 2021-10-09T20:22:29Z

The music is genius!! I absolutely loved it. The gameplay itself was very hard and a bit frustrating. I got really excited when I saw you the beams were changing planes but I couldn't get past that corner :(

Crewman 49 by ThatmanRobin 2021-10-07T18:36:35Z

Really cool visuals and nice voiceovers. Loved the knockdown effects! The camera was way too wobbly and it made me uncomfortable. Was better once I stopped using A and D for strafing.

Chop and Sprout by SethJMoore 2021-10-14T20:51:48Z

This seemed quite interesting. I'm not sure if I actually won or not when I got the bulb on the green thing. It started changing colors but there was no win screen. The mechanic was quite novel, but I guess it needs a little bit more polishing to become a good game.

Noinun40 by Itzemii 2021-10-12T21:05:49Z

The music was a little annoying :) Seemed like a very interesting concept. Took a minute to realize how to play. Not sure what the end goal was. Was expecting a score when the board was filled that would reflect the amount of instability.

The Madness of Larry Donovan by The Lame Brain 2021-10-07T19:12:53Z

I COULDN'T FIND THE TAZER OMGGG Tbh wasn't really sure what the goal was. It felt like I was just mindlessly exploring. Sometimes the monsters felt really easy to avoid, and other they'd just pummel you to death in an instant. I quite enjoyed the atmosphere!

Hopper Unstable by Castoor 2021-10-08T13:53:17Z

So quick! The timer could have been less annoying without all those decimals. Graphics were really cute.

Unstable Core by Frankey333 2021-10-13T20:50:04Z

Nice game! Ended up playing until 1156! Quite fun to figure out the best strategy.

Cave Supply by Simo 2021-10-12T20:17:32Z

Game works. But the gameplay gets repetitive very quickly and doesn't offer much in terms of fun! The explosion effects were very nice.

House is not always a home by SeaSlugStudios 2021-10-07T19:57:24Z

Really cool! The art was really fitting. Ended up playing the whole thing, though I got the bad ending :( Hard to judge the whole game since I've only seen one story path, but if there's one criticism is that at times I thought the story moved a bit slowly and at some point there didn't seem to be a clear direction to the plot. Good job though, doesn't seem to be easy to come up with IF during a jam!

Domino Traverse by Huntrt 2021-10-14T20:30:13Z

This was REALLY addicting. Wished there was a highscore counter so I could remember what my record was! Gameplay is really nice and smooth. The game has a high skill ceiling but very approachable entry-level. That makes it really good for replay value!

Hot nucleus by c64cosmin 2021-10-07T21:28:43Z

Very nice! Enjoyed playing. This forced me to use unfamiliar finger chords; very interesting! O and zero could have used a better font difference. Numbers were very awkward to use and made me realize how little I'm familiar with their positioning! Difficulty ramped up a bit slowly so playthrough is a bit drawn out and does not inspire a second attempt. Really liked the graphics and overall idea!

AnoidBuild by lifedrain 2021-10-14T20:38:49Z

Wasn't sure exactly which strategy I should have gone for to make the blocks stack up. It all seemed a bit random. At the end of the level the paddle gets stuck between all the blocks so at that point one just has to wait for the ball to finish the work and that can be a bit boring. It seems like an interesting idea but needs to be implemented with clearer gameplay.

Unstable Lava by Weenie Walker Games 2021-10-09T21:27:26Z

I liked the lava effect! But I think overall, combined with the purple track, it was a little hard on the eyes. Gameplay wasn't too interesting. I think it might have been easier to navigate if there were more landmarks. The jump was quite handy and it saved me in a pinch a couple times.

LD50 — Delay the inevitable

Department of Fire Deferral by Remco 2022-04-10T09:13:28Z

Didn't understand that anything was happening at first since the percentage doesn't go up. Only after like two minutes of running around I noticed the tiles changing color. Gameplay itself wasn't very engaging either; just mindless running around. Level generation is a cool technical feature but doesn't add much to the gameplay! Anyway, watching the tiles change color is actually quite fun when there's lots of them on fire. A simple visual cue that is very effective.

Closure by Junber 2022-04-19T12:12:32Z

Omg dude, this was a masterpiece! The first scene in the car was absolutely brilliant. I'm awe-struck by the ingenuity! A solid 5/5 entry. As a few nitpicks, I wished the text would move along faster. I found myself always key pressing to get the dialog to complete, but it would have been nicer to just sit and read at times. I've made this mistake before with scrolling text, and my conclusion is that you should find a speed that does not annoy your reader. A bit too fast is always better than a bit too slow. The gameplay was brilliant. The graphics are so simple yet they convey meaning perfectly. The subtle use of color highlight to know what to do was also perfect. The dialogs had great content, but I thought were a bit too long-winded at times and you might want to work on being just a little more concise in the writing. Music and sound was perfectly fitting and added a lot to the atmosphere.

My man, thanks a lot for the experience! (and please do more voting so your game gets ranked :D It would be a shame not to!)

Frame Buster by JCMonkey 2022-04-12T08:13:19Z

Dudeeee this was absolutely glorious!! I swear it's the most fun I've had so far! Using the framerate as a mechanic is brilliant. Great art and great music as well. Everything fits together really nicely and feels great to play. Who doesn't love bouncing chicken!? Thanks for the experience :D

Last Robot Survivor Needs Energy by Wonz 2022-04-10T08:47:52Z

This was a bit painful to play :D I like the voice sounds and humor. But gameplay wasn't very well balanced. Monsters join at a much faster rate than what you can kill. And since you can't aim, it's really frustrating to have the guy switch target when one more hit would have killed a monster. Music is a bit annoying as well (but loved the inclusion of volume slider!), and I'm generally of the opinion that no music is often better than annoying music.

Eschaton, Dark Forest of the by Tygrak 2022-04-19T12:31:44Z

What a brilliant entry! Incredibly immersive. A really really good interpretation of the theme. Bullet hell gameplay was simple but quite fun. I really liked the strong emphasis on how pointless it all was, even how you could refuse to delay the inevitable! Loved the story and characters. Beautiful experience really.

My only nitpick is that dialog scrolling was very slow. I've made this mistake in the past as well, and even though it might seem a good fit for the mood, my conclusion is that it's never a good idea to annoy your readers with inescapable slowness and limitation. A little too fast is always better than a little too slow.

Either way, solid 5/5 entry. Great job!

Numerus Maximus by SimplePotential 2022-04-12T08:35:00Z

Still no idea how to play :D But it looks quite polished. Only misses sound effects.

Apartheid by Jungle 2022-04-12T08:32:32Z

Wow what a beautiful entry. Really immersive experience. Thanks for this. The art is beautiful, and the music fits really nicely as well. Great presentation! Nothing bad to say about this. Even the menu looks really polished. Maybe I thought the sound effect for the buttons was a little out of place compare to the style of everything else, but that's just nitpicking.

書 shū by Zitao YE 2022-04-16T09:46:26Z

Dudeeeee, this was amazing!! The most beautiful compo game I've played so far. The minimalist aesthetic is gorgeous. The game mechanic is super addicting and the atmosphere is spot on. Wish there were more levels! I could probably find myself playing this for hours :D 5/5.

Also a reminder that you're required to share the source code for compo. Would love to see that!

Soul Dilemma by muriel 2022-04-13T17:56:47Z

Impressive entry! The humor of the audio clips was brilliant :D Beautiful graphics and great gameplay. My only gripe is that the audio was distorted. Maybe recorded too loud? Anyway really good job!

Block or Bust by 100th_Coin 2022-04-20T16:00:16Z

This was an absolute masterpiece. I'm at a loss for words. The amount of content you managed to create is impressive. Gameplay rocks as well! It was incredibly fun and very immersive too. You end up truly caring for the store and it feels like there is meaning to what you do. The plot and setting is hilarious and really well thought-out and cohesive. An absolute 5/5 and I fully expect to see this among the top entries.

Priestess of Larak by Alex Mulkerrin 2022-04-10T08:39:53Z

Took a little bit of time to figure out, and all the text does indeed look daunting at first. Especially since once you know how to play, you only look for very specific parts of the text and a lot of the rest is visual clutter. Loved the 0 rations option! :D

Farming until bankruptcy by atomicptr 2022-04-13T16:14:04Z

What a charming little game! This was really well done. Really nice art, good amount of polish and smooth gameplay. I missed the dialog that presumably told me of the failed payment because I was spamming E for farming. Maybe a different key to clear the dialog would have been ideal. Not much else to say really. This was pretty neat! Love the black and white theme.

Lava is Deadly by OadT 2022-04-12T08:49:27Z

I couldn't figure out how to get past the first timed blocks. Actually I think I figured it out just now as I was typing this comment. HAH. Anyway, mechanic was a little confusing at first, but once figured out I though it was actually a brilliant and very unique way of interpreting the theme. Great game idea!

BLACKSUN by Davide Rossetto 2022-04-13T12:37:20Z

The mechanics of this were really good! I really wanted to play more (it's VERY addicting!), but towards the end it gets very unwieldy: you have to mouse over every entry all the time to check what it does, and then find the proper item in the inventory to see how much of that you have. Quite cumbersome! Also The bottom entries text was cut off. Art was really nice and overall very well presented. Music or at least sound effects would have been very welcome for this type of game.

MacBooler by kromeboy 2022-04-19T14:55:00Z

Well, today I learned what boolean addition is :D Got to 120. Quite addicting! Pretty good and unique idea. Good fit with the theme. Music on/off button was a nice addition, but I would have liked to disable sound effects as well as it gets annoying after a while you hear the same thing!

Evacuation Station by Taffaz 2022-04-15T11:22:04Z

A bit messy and unpolished. The audio effects getting louder when happening at the same time is a bit annoying, and the music is very repetitive. The story and premise was actually very good though! Loved the population counters at the bottom.

Into The Light by Yorsh 2022-04-13T12:42:30Z

Really beautiful art and presentation! Also very unique and fitting rendition of the theme. Not many negative things to say at all really! Also great polish as it feels like a properly finished game.

Lag Tha Magma by wavertron 2022-04-19T15:20:03Z

Nice game. Wish the difficulty ramped up a bit faster as I mostly just had to sit and wait for the lava to see how my constructions would hold. Overall really nice ideas! Could have been a bit more entertaining with better balance and more action. Sometimes I would get stuck when trying to jump up, but other than that actually quite polished and working well.

Hole In No by Sapazu 2022-04-19T13:06:07Z

This was so funny omg. So addicting as well! This is a perfect example of really well planned scope and great execution. Very simple but with a great core mechanic and very good polish. The golfer is so well animated! A solid 5/5 entry. Well done!

Evacuation Route by epb9000 2022-04-19T11:48:00Z

Very nice! Good old classic gameplay done well. Feels decently polished and very fun to play. Music is also very nice and fits well. I thought maybe the difficulty was a bit easy. Could have probably added another option for hard mode as it was quite fun to play and I'd have happily given that a try. Solid entry!

MAGICAL JUGGLER EXTRAORDINAIRE by benskca 2022-04-13T18:05:15Z

Really, really nice! Very polished and fun to play. Feels like a finished game! Air is OP :) Got to like 300 something with that and eventually decided to drop the ball so I could try the other spells :D Great job with this entry!

FUSE by Ossi 2022-04-15T08:51:28Z

Game is rather simple and a bit repetitive. Good amount of polish and the flames look really nice. Music was a little annoying :)

...Rise of the Toasty Tomato by snesgaard 2022-04-11T17:41:13Z

On the linux build I could not get past the initial choose an event screen.

Model-5C by William Corrin 2022-04-15T08:43:31Z

Impressive graphics! Adding neon lights everywhere seems like a really smart way of spicing up the visuals. I played the html version and it still looked really good! Very nice atmosphere as well and the music is great. The sound of the robot moving was a little loud and annoying. Also nice and unique story! The github repo is empty.

Distant Colony by mikouaji 2022-04-19T14:25:12Z

Hey, nice ideas. Overall felt a bit rough. Controls are a little confusing. And the towers didn't seem to do enough damage to keep up with the swarm, so I wasn't really sure what I was supposed to do. Also after a while FPS would drop considerably. Music was nice but the volume was very low by default. Nice humor on the items descriptions!

Rocket Lawnchair by jitspoe 2022-04-11T17:31:30Z

:D Got to 4 or something. Had no idea how to improve upon that. Super fun idea! The dialogues and humor were glorious.

IGNA by Bozarre 2022-04-19T15:25:02Z

No idea what I was doing or what I was supposed to do. Met a Claire or something is all I know and then exploded (I think) :D But other than that, the visuals, music, and atmosphere were impressive. I didn't think a pico8 game could look This good. Truly awe-inspiring. Thanks!

ENTROPY by LarsDu 2022-04-12T09:04:44Z

Dude, 10/10 for soundtrack. That was a brilliant idea for music. Definitely borrowing for my next work :D Game was very well implemented. The flight of the balls felt very nice and really good to look at. The randomness of the whole experience can get frustrating in the later levels, but very good game! Maybe theme feels a bit weak.

Meteor Power by UkuleleFury 2022-04-19T15:35:10Z

I didn't seem to understand how to play? UI and wasd were working, but left clicking didn't do anything so I couldn't move the robot. Am I missing something? :D Game looks super pretty and menus are really polished!

Elbativeni by Kiddy 2022-04-15T18:38:00Z

This was really pretty! Music is really charming and fitting. The game mechanic was very interesting, but a bit clumsy to engage with. I also thought the monster catches up with you too quickly. I wish I had more time to play around with moving the rooms, as that was quite fun.

teleBOTation by Phoenix Fireflower 2022-04-15T11:12:27Z

Really cute game! Art is beautiful and the music fits really well. The teleport swap would sometimes not work and that felt a little frustrating. Otherwise really well made game.

Fifty Dollar Smash by Benjamin Gare 2022-04-19T14:31:24Z

Very basic game, but hey it works :) Gameplay isn't very fun and the weapon pickup didn't seem to do anything. Game needs more and bigger shooting :D

A Halting Problem by Honey Pony 2022-04-19T13:49:26Z

Really well made! Twisting curve was EVIL. Took me way longer than I care to admit. Really well executed game. Good scope and great polish. The level select menu was really pretty! Glad to see menus receiving some love. Music got a little annoying after a while so I'm glad there was a volume slider. The only criticism is that on failure I would have liked to see the old code to better connect what I had written to what had happened.

HEXATTACK! by kurrik 2022-04-19T11:55:39Z

Really good game! The gameplay was fun and placing walls felt very satisfying. Sometimes I would lose without understanding why. If the bad hexagons reach your base you fail as I understand, but other times it didn't look like they had reached but I'd still fail, so that was a little confusing! But otherwise the mechanics are really solid and fun to play. Music also is very well done and fits well. Good amount of polish! Instructions were a little confusing in the first screen so I'd look into alternative ways of explaining gameplay.

Hotel Lazarus by sacredbacon 2022-04-19T15:12:28Z

Hey this was a beautiful game! Overall I felt there was a bit of confusion about how to spend the money at the beginning (there was only one viable strategy and if you bought the wrong thing you would lose). But after that was clear the game actually felt a bit too easy and strategy was very straight-forward. Got to 40k and decided to stop playing. Really pretty graphics! And music was excellent - fits well and manages not to be annoying! I didn't understand if there was any difference between the various rooms you could build. If you had managed to adapt the difficulty a bit better it would have been perfect. (the importance of play-testing that we always unfortunately leave for the last minute!)

Harry the Haemophiliac Vampire by squimmy 2022-04-13T12:14:37Z

The game is very basic, but the opening sequence is brilliant :D

Oh No My Trophy by zimny11 2022-04-10T15:52:04Z

Great entry! Got to 655. Great humor and fun gameplay :D Very simple but also very entertaining! Difficulty ramps up a bit too quickly towards the end. I wished the sprays were a bit more effective or that they could be used a bit longer!

My Girlfriend Wants a PUPPY!! by James_7777 2022-04-15T18:30:40Z

Dudeee, this was brilliant! I was smiling the whole time :D Super cute art! And the music was really good too. Great mood overall! The game idea was great too and very unique. Definitely the most charming interpretation of the theme I've seen yet.

Timeflight Alpha by Quinn_Patrick 2022-04-12T08:57:39Z

Nice game! Feels good when you get the powerups :D The powerup icons were way too small though. Also having to wait at the base for the time to run out felt annoying. Overall I think there's very little incentive to progress and it all feels quite meaningless, so it's hard to stay engaged for long. Great amount of polish on the flight mechanics and effects though! Also long intro texts are always quite annoying, so I recommend looking into alternative ways of providing instructions!

Timeflight Alpha by Quinn_Patrick 2022-04-13T11:59:40Z

@quinn-patrick Hey quinn! I give you feedback; you decide what to do with the feedback :) I offered you the thoughts of one of your players while playing your game. That is all! You do with that what you will.

Hex'd by Paroxysmal 2022-04-15T10:51:04Z

Really beautiful art and audio! I was confused about the "out of time" dialogs, as they seemed to happen both as a human and as a slime, and as a slime there is no time counter? Running out of hearts also shouldn't make you restart from the beginning, as that's a bit frustrating and gets people off the game I think. Anyway beautiful presentation!

Planet Saver by PashaLoban 2022-04-10T17:49:14Z

Cute idea and nice bit of social commentary. Gameplay itself though isn't very engaging and strategy is so basic you don't even need one of the two arrow keys :) Nice art!

Door Man by Mavvy 2022-04-10T09:04:33Z

Game was smooth and enjoyable to play. Theme isn't present but I can see how it might have worked with more levels. The cactus I found very funny :D

Keep It Warm by Fifut 2022-04-12T08:21:47Z

Atlantis by lisyarus 2022-04-11T17:08:22Z

What a beautiful game! Really good presentation and addicting gameplay. The balance of cards at the start is a little confusing, how you have to figure out the only good order that works to set the first few things up. But after that it flows very well. Ended up filling all the island :D

The Final Day by Very Bad Bunny Studio 2022-04-10T18:00:56Z

Impressive art and presentation! Trained a bit, bought some stuff, took the portal and got one shot by the angel. 10/10 would do it again. Very good game concept and implementation. Great setting and theme fits Really well. Excellent amount of content/replayability. Gameplay maybe isn't so engaging in itself so something could be improved there. Impressive result nonetheless for a compo!

Losing Your Sheet by rickylee 2022-04-11T17:16:00Z

Such a fun game! Took a moment to figure out how to play. The help screen didn't really help. Got to 120. Beautiful art and the sheet sound is great!

KEEP THE POWER by caudatecoder 2022-04-12T08:02:27Z

Hey brilliant entry! Love the the bit of social commentary and what a great subtle humor! The mechanics were a little confusing at first. But once I figured it out I didn't feel like restarting yet another time because of how slow the gameplay was.

BOX IN OX by Jonah_SRG 2022-04-15T11:16:26Z

Cute graphics. Didn't understand how to actually play or what the purpose was though!

Whoa! It's like a space game or something! by circle 2022-04-19T14:27:13Z

Game didn't run for some reason and I only saw a blank gray screen!

Dilate the time! by milq 2022-04-12T08:43:15Z

The game had a really interesting premise, but falls a bit short on delivery. For time-dilation being the main mechanic, there was surprisingly very little running to do. Level 8 is the only one that felt appropriate and actually fun. Everything else felt like a regular platformer with slightly annoying camera every time you move :D Controls were hard to master as well and somewhat frustrating and required a lot of slowing down and precision movements, which definitely gets in the way of trying to experience the time dilation! Overall great concept and implementation, but level design fails to make use of the mechanic in a meaningful way. Also music was actually great and fits really well.

Wait For It ! by Forgin Bits 2022-04-10T14:47:51Z

Brilliant entry! Super fun to play and a really charming setting. Not much bad to say about this :D Making all those different mechanics in a short amount of time seems like a very impressive feat!

B-Game by squaxcom 2022-04-15T09:01:03Z

Really beautiful art! This game is so charming! Owl was a little confusing at times and wasn't really sure where he was pointing. Sound effects and music are also really on point. Very very good and cohesive game!

Crystal Castle by oneowerse 2022-04-11T17:37:28Z

I have no idea what was going on :D But the movement was actually very fun! Menus and restart screen were a bit clumsy. Got to 20 something just by going around without a clue what I was doing :)

Over the Rainbow Bridge by Iguanana 2022-04-10T17:44:03Z

Omg what a beautiful game. The presentation is amazing, already from the menu. Love the color scheme and the art. And the story!! You managed to fit so much meaning in such a simple and short game. Brilliant work.

AstroPhysical by Arihan10 2022-04-13T12:10:13Z

Hey nice game! A bit overwhelming at first. The solar beam space bar felt very difficult to use and a bit frustrating to see the bars going down :D Nice game ideas though! Art is very nice and music feels appropriate. Good humor. The linux build worked okay for me by the way!

Deathly Delay by MasterOfCheese 2022-04-16T09:54:31Z

Really pretty art! Game was short and fun and felt polished. Definitely a solid entry!

Cold and Alone by David York 2022-04-10T11:36:12Z

47 days and 22 hours. Such a great experience!! I had to sleep until I died just to see the ending. Could have been slightly more difficult towards the end. The art is beautiful and the UI looks great. Really everything is perfect! Some sounds would have been great, even if just for moving around in the menus.

Impending Doom by Castitatis 2022-04-13T17:41:08Z

Really really nice game! Who doesn't love a good clicker :D Really well executed. Loved the plot twist at the end! I for one actually thought the balance was quite good, so that it is winnable on the first playthrough. But after the first asteroid I was kind of expecting another bigger one. That would have been a good low-effort way of making the game go on longer!

One Sided Pong by Brandless 2022-04-10T08:54:01Z

Very basic. A game like this really needs more juice. Nonetheless, I was very amused when the humor of the situation struck me :D The score counter makes all the difference.

Ravenous by Frib 2022-04-19T13:01:35Z

Very unique ideas and really nice fit for the theme! I loved how ridiculous it all was and at the same time managed to seem very serious as well. I felt so bad about luring all those unsuspecting victims to grandpa after telling them they dressed well, but I felt I had some duty to carry out. The spells choice menus were definitely a bit confusing and cluttery. The yellow font above people was quite hard to read and a bit more contrast would have helped. Overall I think this is a REALLY great idea that just needed a bit more polish and possible smaller scope.

LD51 — Every 10 seconds

Gigabite by CocaPasteque 2022-10-05T11:56:20Z

Great game! Quite gruesome :D Very effective art and overall visual style. Gameplay is simple but quite fun. I think the art and setting is what makes the game unique and engaging, as gameplay is quite generic otherwise. Music is great and fits really well. Overall excellent mood and very good amount of polish! Great result for a jam game!

Spacemine Defense by Jimbly 2022-10-04T13:08:55Z

I was absolutely addicted. I've stolen all the high scores :D This is so incredibly fun! Really well made and great amount of polish. The menus and leaderboards are also very pretty. Difficulty was spot on. You say you didn't have time for polish but I think you managed to take care of all the essential things, so great job on scope and task prioritization! I haven't got any criticism really. Great entry!

Spacemine Defense by Jimbly 2022-10-22T21:02:11Z

@jimbly my friend, congrats on the ranking! Well deserved. See you in the next one!

Murder on the Horizon by Ayxs 2022-10-08T07:46:28Z

Very well made game. Good art and mechanics. I thought the items disappearing was a bit annoying on the first playthrough, but then I realized you can easily get around that on a second playthrough. So that makes the mechanic both annoying and kinda useless :D I guessed correctly at the end, and after that I was expecting a more thorough explanation of what had happened, so I felt a little unfulfilled when that didn't happen. Some very simple atmospheric music could have really boosted the mood. Overall I enjoyed playing this quite a bit, and it just needs a bit of polish. Good work!

autoball by torcado 2022-10-09T08:18:53Z

This is SO ADDICTING. Struggled a bit at first to figure out a strategy, but once you get enough things on the board it gets really fun. The magnet seemed cool at first but actually turned out to be somewhat useless. The fact that your time to place things is limited by how long the previous ball stays felt a little strange, but I guess it works just fine for balance and sense of danger. So much polish on everything! Sound was really good and I think a great part of what makes this game so satisfying. Overall this is a glorious entry for compo, well done!

Gelato Drift by thomz12 2022-10-09T10:02:36Z

GLORIOUS DRIFTING. I'd never thought I'd be drifting with an ice truck. It would have been fun at the end to have a statistic about the amount of people you would have killed :D How the truck was getting stuck on the sidewalk was sometimes annoying. Maybe intended, but difficulty might rather be moved somewhere else rather than on a table-flip inducing mechanic. Everything is very cohesive and makes for a really fun and charming experience. Maybe the score breakdown on delivery could have been a bit larger to see it more easily. Glorious entry, thanks!

Duo Dungeon by DavidBradbury 2022-10-03T20:23:48Z

My friend, this game is absolutely gorgeous! The art is super nice and the overall atmosphere really beautiful. A shame it's so short. Maybe the music feels a little out of place, as the visuals suggest something rather more mysterious. Very pretty and polished entry.

Impending Doom of a Thousand Kitties by RalfZ 2022-10-04T21:12:58Z

Oh my god this is the cutest game I've ever seen. The art is gorgeous. Cute cat sounds too. The pickup was so satisfying! On first run it's a bit hard to tell what the two icons represent but it's quickly realized by trying. Super simple idea but I spent way too much time on this :D Really good job of taking a simple mechanic and making an engaging game around it through sheer cuteness! Great amount of polish too. Well done!

Tenjutsu by deepnight 2022-10-09T09:45:31Z

Beautiful game! It was a bit too difficult I find. The annoying things: when you'd lose collected unused skulls when the timer would run out; and if the chainsaw guy started spinning just before the death mark execution animation, he'd still hit you. Art style is glorious, and enemy great enemy variety. Movement felt pretty good and animations are excellent. Overall astonishing amount of polish for a compo entry!

Oxylunky by daandruff 2022-10-03T19:43:59Z

Game idea looks really solid. As already mentioned, it is indeed quite frustrating and checkpoints would have been super helpful. At the same time, I do admit that getting that close to dying all the time adds quite a bit of tension and makes it really immersive. You almost feel like gasping for air in real life! Nice water sounds. Well polished entry; good job.

Exorcist Patrol by PeachTreeOath 2022-10-05T08:41:23Z

OH MY GOD what a glorious game!! I absolutely loved it. I thought every was *perfect*. Beautiful art and super fun gameplay. UI works really well too and feels intuitive enough. Music wasn't made but great choice nonetheless. I really wished there was more content and I would have likely kept playing for a looong time :D

At the beginning I wasn't quite sure how it all worked, but once can quickly figure things out. It was a really unique idea and I think it works brilliantly. I lucked out on a very powerful combination of the first three spells eventually that carried me through a few levels. Reordering spells on a timeline was super interesting. It's always great when simple mechanics create meaningful and thoughtful strategy that keeps one's brain engaged (and addicted :D)

I really have nothing bad to say about this game - except that I want more of it!

Cheers @evedoll.

Sprawl: A cyberpunk interactive graphic novel by m11 2022-10-04T19:34:26Z

You managed to end up with really really good art! I'm impressed at how you managed to keep the characters looking similar. The pdf was very well put together and I'm sure that took quite a bit of effort. What's the font you used? It looks really nice. Really good work overall and an amazing example of what AI generators can do. The plot was also very very intriguing and I'd be very happy to know the continuation if you plan on finishing this!

Come Shell or High Water by ursagames 2022-10-04T20:09:24Z

Really cute game! Great work on the graphics and the music is so pretty. Mechanic is fun but gets repetitive quickly, as the optimal strategy is very straightforward. The environment is very well made and offers a good deal of distraction from blindly running around. Yay floor buttons that don't do anything :D Overall very well done and good amount of polish!

Game Name by Strega 2022-10-09T07:43:44Z

Amazing game! This is so well done. Gameplay was quite fun, and maybe the only complaint is that day2 felt a little too similar to day1, whereas I really liked how day3 introduced new things. The amount of polish is insane for a game jam! Art was really cute and mood and humor really on point. Music and soundeffects are also super well done, which is a rarity! Overall brilliant work, thanks for the smiles!

Escape the.. something by ThaProfesional 2022-10-05T08:05:44Z

Yo the idea was really good! As it is, it's a little frustrating to play. Controls actually feel really good, but difficulty is just too high. Sometimes the platforms make for seemingly impossible paths. And the switch was very confusing too. Both in regards to the exact time it would happen (timer didn't seem to be enough for the precision required), and confusing by its suddenness. I think maybe the switch could have happened slowly giving you time to assess where you'd end up and plan accordingly. Like maybe even simply with a small time-freeze. I wanted to play more but too frustrating :D Overall very well put-together entry, which just needed a bit better difficulty adjustment!

Destroy Blocks by mdotedot 2022-10-03T17:20:47Z

Yooo, I thought winning was going to be a piece of cake but boy was I wrong. Really fun game! And I think it's JUST the right difficulty to keep it interesting and not frustrating. Cute song but it gets a bit repetitive over time. I love how you managed to make a very compelling game with such a simple idea. I think that's exactly what game jams are about, and what I always fail at :D Great job at scope management!

Raiding By Myself by wildmusketeer 2022-10-03T20:45:42Z

Cute game! Would have been handy to have a level restart feature. I had some problems with the Next Level button as well, where I had to exit fullscreen mode for the mouse to be available for clicking. Pressing space would have been more appropriate probably. I loved the intro; it really creates a nice atmosphere. Maybe the actual game was a bit brighter than the intro art suggested, and a darker mood would have probably felt more fitting. The textbox in the intro was a bit hard to read because of the colors. Overall solid entry, and well done for making this much content!

Assault on Hartblood Hotel by kiririn51 2022-10-05T08:21:39Z

Really well made game! The art is so beautiful! The battle system also works really well. The characters and dialogues are so engaging. Excellent storytelling! I wanted to play more but it felt a bit too grindy. Once I got the first key I realized I would have had to walk back the whole way and test every door, so I gave up :D Even something as simple as coloring the door with the key color (possibly after inspecting once) would have made it a lot less daunting to continue. Overall I'm absolutely impressed at how much you managed to do and how everything works smoothly. Some polish could make this into a really good game. Very well done!

Sushi Panic by Delightfullymad 2022-10-03T20:20:01Z

Game's really cute! I got to a point where things were breaking constantly and wasn't able to do anything other than repairing. So other than difficulty adjustment, I felt like the game was lacking purpose. It felt like actual work and there was no reward. The art is really really nice, and the music is well fitting. Very well polished game overall.

Gravity Run by Jonas Michael 2022-10-05T12:18:26Z

Nice idea. Game feels a bit rough. Controls and collisions feel a bit wonky, and maybe the size of the character compared to the environment makes it quite hard to navigate. It wasn't immediately obvious I had a jetpack and not just a jump so I failed a few times because of that. The endless runner concept with changing mods seems quite cool. Maybe I would have liked to know in advance what mode I'm switching to (esp. for the upside-down one, to be prepared and not die instantly). I think this game just needs a bit more polish to become very fun!

Teck Tronix by Kilian BAPTENDIER 2022-10-04T22:38:46Z

Game's really cool! Excellent idea and really well executed. At first I didn't quite get how to play the cards but once figured out it was smooth sailing. I think there wasn't enough strategy involved, as spamming all the cards seemed pretty effective. The other gripe I have is that I was reading cards text all the time and couldn't watch the glorious dance moves :( The art and the dance moves are super well done and incredibly charming. Music is also a great fit. Overall very good polish and quite an impressive entry for a jam. Well done!

FLV-51 by landosilva 2022-10-05T10:07:57Z

Really really well made game. Art, music and sound effects are all so pretty. Controls feel really good! Excellent amount of polish. My only gripe was that towards the end it was quite frustrating to remember where the closed doors are. I kept trying for the exit thinking all other doors were opened but I had to go back and search for other doors all over again. That part could be improved a bit. I especially liked the idea of dying in the right place to make use of the body. That was a great mechanic that also adds an emotional level to it. Overall excellent submission. Very good work and impressive achievement for a jam!

Security Failure by aplite 2022-10-05T07:57:04Z

Very short game but it was really engaging! I really wished there was more content to this. Very well implemented and good polish. Sound effects were on point and art and visuals really good too. Overall great entry that just needed a bit more content!

Dare to Jam by TJ101010 2022-10-04T21:41:30Z

Very interesting game! I thought the idea was great, but there was so little time to read the tasks that I had no idea what I was clicking on. I wish there was more time to read everything! Overall I think this is a really creative entry, with a very good amount of polish. Everything was really charming and had a great atmosphere. Great music and super cute art that I'm sure took a lot of work! Well done.

10 Second Mixtape by Scott Steffes 2022-10-08T06:35:23Z

This is so well made! I thought maybe the music input was a bit clumsy, esp. how the clear button was clearing everything. The game is really unique and very fun to play. I really liked how adding other members would throw in randomness rather than manually playing every member. Unexpectedly, after playing a few rounds, I spent most of the time listening to other bands. That feature was REALLY neat. I hoped I'd see my band in concert but that didn't happen :( Art is really cute and all names are brilliant. Overall really well polished and an excellent entry for a jam!

Call It A Day by Stenyin 2022-10-04T21:04:44Z

Oh my got what a beautiful looking game! Really good and unique use of the theme as well. Music and sounds are great, and the humor is really charming. A really really nice atmosphere and so much polish! Really impressive work. I felt that the bone throw when aiming for the ghosts could have been a bit more forgiving, as I would miss quite often. At first I didn't understand I had to click/enter the central building and spent a few in-game days on the first level figuring out what to do :D A small tutorial could have been handy. Not much else to give criticism about. A very impressive entry for a jam. Definitely feels like a finished game!

The Lone Survivor by m110 2022-10-04T22:21:46Z

Pretty interesting idea! Initially I thought the storms were random but eventually I figured it out. The controls were a little wonky and it's really easy to get stuck in things. Very good atmosphere though! Art style is very nice and really fits the wasteland theme. Sound effects would have added a lot to the experience I feel. Good music. Overall feels a bit rough but with a little polish could be very engaging!

KAIROS, Battle for Seconds by Paul Giovannini 2022-10-04T22:14:13Z

Wow what an absolutely beautiful game!! Amazing visuals and great sounds. Gameplay was quite fun too. My only gripe is that it was a bit hard to remember what was available on which second. But the combination of different effects when you collect enough powers was really cool and sometimes pleasantly unexpected. The amount of polish is insane for a jam. Definitely feels like a finished game. Very well done!

10 Snekonds by YogurtTheHorse 2022-10-04T22:04:49Z

Really cute game! The art and visuals are very well done and super charming. Gameplay is a bit confusing at first. And once you realize what's going on it's still quite difficult. I managed to the past the first stage of the boss (after quite a bit of time figuring out what I was supposed to dash into :D), but then in the second stage there were way too many bullets and I'd die without being able to do much. I've also run into the gray blocks thinking I could pick them up way too many times :D I really wanted to play this game more but gameplay was just a bit too difficult. I think with some difficulty adjustment this could be a very fun game!

Night At The Orphanarium by michaelaranda 2022-10-08T06:47:41Z

This was soooo pretty! I only lasted 13 days :( The whole mood and presentation are excellent. Art is really charming. My hat goes off to the music though. That was a really smart and well done way of providing atmosphere and more importantly notifying about the daynight change. Once I figured out that you can hit within the whole arc shown, then controls became a bit more fluent. Chopping down trees with the click timing was really neat as well. Overall impressive entry, really well put together!

What's the rules? by Pusheeneiro 2022-10-05T07:52:14Z

Very fun idea! I feel like you should be given some time to look at a new level before starting the timer so you can think of something. Otherwise each time you get to a new one you inevitably fail because you're not prepared and you have to restart ALL OVER. That felt a bit annoying. I really like the concept though and with some quality of life improvements it could be Really addicting. Music was well fitting. I really liked the art style and it conveyed meaning really well. Overall well done and good amount of polish!

Holospecter by theStoff 2022-10-06T08:29:53Z

Astounding entry! Visuals are gorgeous and art is really well done. Menus are impressive as well! Music is amazing, really well done. Rebindable controls were a very neat addition, and I think using F for the abilities was a poor default choice. Especially in a platformer made with the possibility of speedrunning, not being able to trigger the ability while moving is very annoying. You definitely should have rather used one hand for movement and one for dash+ability. Also when prompted to perform new actions like dash and "special" in the introductory levels, I would have liked to also see which key to press! Otherwise you're forcing players to leave the game and look it up in the instructions on this page. Overall *insane* amounts of polish. I'm sure you'll do really well with placement. Good luck!

Lucky Lefty Lost In A Labyrinth by TheBookSnail 2022-10-04T20:53:34Z

Very interesting game! Good music, nice mood and good puzzles. I wished the first tile wouldn't break so you could have time to plan the level ahead. It's always a bit jolting when you're thrown into a random puzzle without time to figure it out. I also didn't like the retry count determining the score/stars, as some of the levels were seemingly impossible to figure out on the first run unless you'd try a couple of the initial tiles first. I also wished the snail wasn't so slow to move :D Anyway, well made game and great amount of polish. Gameplay is quite fun and with a few quality of life improvements it could be very entertaining!

Reboot by Astrydax 2022-10-09T10:32:28Z

Well done! I did not know about cursor*10 and went to look it up later. Thanks for introducing me to this very interesting game mechanic! Your entry is well crafted and while the presentation is simple it communicates everything quite well and is actually very engaging. The ending is very cute as well :D Overall definitely feels like a well polished and finished game!

The CyberZapper by Vhalenn 2022-10-04T19:10:46Z

Yo, very pretty game. I felt like it was missing purpose. There didn't seem to be any incentive for continuing to play after having seen all the rooms and different weapons. I thought I had to kill the boss thing but he was never dying. The weapons were fun but the ones with delay were confusing at first and it seemed like the didn't do anything. Maybe firing sfx would have helped. Overall very well made game but missing purpose. Beautiful UI and loved the curved screen effect.

Stuck gun by mira 2022-10-08T07:10:50Z

Game idea was quite good. Intro screens were very well made, and the sprites were very charming. Firing the gun felt surprisingly appropriate for a weapon that fires only occasionally, with the push back and the limited turning speed. Gameplay was okay but got repetitive very quickly. I thought the game could have very well ended at the first level, and I ended up giving up at some point on the second level. So regarding scope, time might have been better spent on making the gameplay more fun rather than more level content. Overall a very respectable entry, so well done!

Lab Rat by fnelix 2022-10-03T18:28:51Z

Very cute graphics. I thought that waiting for each potion felt slow and not very engaging, so in that sense maybe not the ideal way of applying the theme. But overall it feels very polished and everything works smoothly. I wish I could have made it fullscreen on itch.io!

Super Auto Crusaders by Savolae 2022-10-05T11:12:02Z

Yoo, actually really fun game! The battles are really well implemented and fun to watch. Knights rush FTW. It seemed difficult at first but once you figure out the right strategy it becomes winnable, although it does seem to depend on luck of what the enemy team builds. Battle music was very simple but super effective, and great sounds. Upgrades were fun but some seemed useless, like the teleport which would have them teleport often at the wrong corner :D Overall great entry and great amount of polish. Well done!

Ticktock Tactics by Cral 2022-10-05T11:46:11Z

Really well made game! I love the art, it's so incredibly charming! Excellent work on the whole visual aspect. Gameplay was okay but a bit slow, and the superior strategy was just to be defensive and wait for enemies to get close. Some gameplay tweaks and quality of life improvements could definitely make this a lot more fun. But overall everything is very smooth and polished. Impressive work for a jam entry!

Witchy Sketchy Alchemy by Bruyère Alice 2022-10-04T23:05:27Z

Oh my god this is the cutest game ever. Took a while to figure out how to choose the right potion, but when I did, it was quite easy and it's almost impossible to lose. I was so distracted with the ingredients and when I actually looked back at the character I realized what sort of monstrosity I had become :D The visual presentation is just lovely and the character dancing is just so adorable. Great use of voice effects as well. Really a super charming game and gameplay is quite addicting. Great amount of polish too. Very well done!

Fall Girl by civmaniac 2022-10-08T06:58:33Z

OH MY GOD what a beautiful game. It's the cutest thing I've ever seen. Super well presented with incredibly charming art and animations. The atmosphere and humor are glorious; I was smiling the whole time. Gameplay was quite fun, although the levels were long and having to restart one felt quite annoying. Having to wait for the platforms to move sometimes was also quite tedious, especially when waiting for them to raise to jump off. Overall really well made and supremely polished game!

Chicken Golem! by T C 2022-10-04T21:52:35Z

Good mechanic with the tile switching. A little bit annoying how you have to wait 10s sometimes if you fail something and have to try again. I couldn't get past the double jump level. It seemed like the double jump didn't trigger some times and I wasn't quite sure what I was doing wrong. The characters art and animations are super nice! Chicken dialogs were quite cute too :D

Poda Wants a Statue by Doot 2022-10-09T10:18:13Z

What a cute game! The visuals and art are excellent. Great music and sounds too. Atmosphere is great and there's a great sense of camaraderie with the workers. The mechanic of disrupting the work was interesting but gets annoying after a while, and at later stages with lots of workers there's massive amount of disruption that's hard to keep up with (also because of all the visual clutter of having too many things/workers to pickup on the screen). Overall excellent entry and great amount of polish. Game definitely feels finished. Well done!

Potat-OS by JMad 2022-10-05T10:57:40Z

Really great concept! I struggled with some of the games at first. I had NO IDEA how to figure out the champagne one until I tried the keyboard. It was an odd one out as all the others just needed the mouse, so quite confusing. After figuring that out I could win the game quite easily. Some of the voiceovers are a bit loud and annoying. Art is quite cute, and the visual style of old desktops feels very nostalgic. Overall great idea and quite well executed, with good amounts of polish. Well done!

It All Comes Crashing Down by Quinn_Patrick 2022-10-05T07:46:55Z

Very fun and addicting game! Intro screen is great. The invisible mode was a bit frustrating. I was trying to carefully build a properly constructed bomb-proof tower, but everytime invisible mode was on I just had to throw the piece away. I think invisible mode punishes trying to come up with building strategies, and the most success I had was with a big pile of rubbish sort of construction (very sturdy :'D). Overall still quite fun and good amount of polish. Music and sounds are well put together. Well done!

Flip and Swap by WeAreDev 2022-10-04T20:02:03Z

The mechanic was very interesting! Levels were quite well designed to make use of the color swap. Controls felt a bit cumbersome and moving around was frustratingly slow. When you die it feels punishing because you know you have to walk again through the whole thing at snail pace. Music was very well done! Overall a decent amount of polish and the game feels finished, although the gameplay could be made more fun!

Sailing through life by Chase of Bass 2022-10-08T08:01:18Z

Interesting game mechanic! The presentation is pretty good, with nice and cohesive visuals, art, and music. The boats are particularly cute and I really liked the water splashing effect. I wanted to keep playing to see if there was an ending but eventually it got a bit too boring. And while initially the dialogue was intriguing, it got a bit long-winded and after some time it just felt like it was just stalling for time. That felt a little frustrating. The game mechanic quickly got repetitive so the dialogue was the only thing carrying the game through, until it wasn't :D Overall very good presentation and a well polished game that's just missing a bit more engagement!

J-Menuing by nyxkn 2022-10-03T16:42:46Z

Thanks a lot @thegamearchitect! I wanted to make it much prettier but the time went by so quickly :D Had lots of troubles with bugs with the whole menu system as well. I did not know it was going to be so tricky! I do think I might like to work on this a bit more in the future though so thanks for the encouragement :) I'm also a huge fan of the older Final Fantasy games. High-five!

@jimbly Thank you so much for the report about chrome! I'll look into it. I've run into controller button mapping issues on certain controller+browser combinations; might be a good idea to include button mapping settings in the future. Anyway, those are some pretty good scores :D I agree about difficulty, could have been balanced a bit better at the higher levels. Thanks for the feedback!

@thedude3600 @quinn-patrick @kuboxxxxx @aplite @thaprofesional

Thank you all for the insightful feedback! Much appreciated. I guess I should have prioritized fixing the kill-order-shuffle-while-attacking thing, as it seems to be bothering everyone!

@puhan The icon idea is brilliant and I hadn't thought of that! Many thanks for the suggestion.

@evedoll @elros @skyward4d

Thank you all SO MUCH for the lovely feedback, critique, suggestions, and inspiration. Much love for you all <3

J-Menuing by nyxkn 2022-10-05T09:07:04Z

@matt-ravenhall Thanks for pointing that out! I had some concern about that too, so thanks for confirming :D Choosing appropriate colors is a much more difficult task than one thinks!

J-Menuing by nyxkn 2022-10-20T14:55:06Z

@vykri my friend, thank you SO MUCH for your review! That was incredibly insightful. Everything you brought up was very well thought out and it's easy to agree with you on pretty much every point. I loved hearing your thought process. It's always very humbling to see someone play your game and encountering difficulties on aspects that you as the developer were taking for granted. I think game balance is still something I struggle with a lot. Color choices were definitely poor in hindsight and made the game more difficult than it should have. It was very interesting to see how relatively small details like color and the shuffle-while-attacking issue can drastically alter the difficulty curve. I definitely learned a lot from your commentary and I'm very very grateful for your contribution! Much love <3

Satellite commander by Henrik Ganard 2022-10-03T17:37:54Z

Very fun game! I loved how the satellites can crash into each other :D Really neat touch. Game was a bit difficult but once the controls were figured out, staying in orbit was not too bad. A very interesting way of dealing with the theme. I didn't manage to get anything above C- though :(

Tower of Time 2 by CodeRaurus 2022-10-06T07:13:02Z

Very sweet entry! The mechanic is really nice. Timing movement only gives a greater sense of meaning to your actions. Art is really cute and music is really well done and fits perfectly. I couldn't get past the level with the 3 clocks, as the given time seemed way too tight. Some jumps were quite annoying to perform as well. Overall really good amount of polish for a compo entry. Well done!

Needy Pixel Kitties by Aaron Smith 2022-10-06T07:27:02Z

Interesting game. It was surprisingly hard to play. It starts off a bit too easy nonetheless and takes a very long time to get interesting, and is much more fun with lots of cats to choose from. A game like this would work best when you have a lot of cats to click on so you could rather match the current tool to the right cat rather than cycling tools, which makes for slower gameplay and less fun (in my opinion!). Art is cute, although it wasn't immediately obvious which cat was which type, except for the messy cat - he's the best :D Overall good amount of polish for a compo entry. I can definitely see how some streamlining of gameplay and quality of life improvements could make this really fun and addicting.

Cute Little Spider by BukkakeTears 2022-10-03T19:27:32Z

I love the art! So very pretty. Everything feels super polished. Gameplay is very engaging and I'm a sucker for both key inputs and upgrades :D Immediately thought of the duck song as soon as I got to the end ahahah. Really really well made entry and I'm sure you'll do very well with ratings!

Drone TD by Stefan B. 2022-10-04T20:33:16Z

Yo really fun game! I ended up unlocking everything until the whole map was my shop and was going too fast to actually pick up the resources :D Very addicting. The beginning is tricky but at some point you get to a self sufficient state where you don't need to tend to base anymore and guns obliterate everything. So maybe difficulty could have been adjusted better to keep it engaging. Picking up turrets didn't seem very useful but it was fun when I was blasting through the map at topgun speeds. Good music and sound effects. Art is cute. Good amount of polish overall. Great work!

Cult Of the Сelestial Knight by SnappyPath 2022-10-05T11:22:30Z

Yooo what a great game! The art and animations are AMAZING, especially the nun. Gameplay was very intuitive and super fun. I think a huge part of the fun was actually the quality of the nun animations. It just felt really really good to press A and D! Combat wasn't super obvious but is quickly solved. The first sound effect you encounter is quite jarring because it was quite loud and there was no sound at all previously, so one is not sure to even expect sound at all. Overall amazing entry with excellent amount of polish. Definitely feels like a very complete game! Well done.

Blade To Blade by Jibberwocky 2022-10-03T20:57:27Z

Very nice idea. The art is really good. My only gripe is that there wasn't enough time to properly read the dialogues. Also not very sure what the dialogue choices were doing :D but I managed to win my first few playthroughs. Lucky?? Overall very solid and well polished game. Even the style of the menus was really on point. Well done!

Time To Live: 10 by Lancival 2022-10-03T18:44:11Z

I got stuck on level 5 :( Game feels well polished. The menus and transitions are really well made. The controls felt a little weird, how for example the cube gets stuck on the wall when falling down. This could have benefitted from having the levels Not start automatically so that one can have a look and plan and choose the right cube, rather than being thrown into the level without knowing what's going on and being forced to restart it anyway.

Cat.exe by Alpha Wolf Studios 2022-10-04T22:51:14Z

Really good game! I always love these desktop emulations. So much character and atmosphere! The game itself was really pretty. I loved the character animations. Very convincing! The jump felt a bit clunky sometimes. When I'd jump on the normal ground I could chain jumps easily; but for some reason when jumping on the platforms I couldn't jump again right away and felt a bit clunky. One of the platform jumps with the timed spikes was impossible for me because of this reason and I couldn't progress. The visuals are really really good and I loved the music too. Overall very solid entry and with a bit of quality of life improvements it could be very engaging.

Pincolour by Haydads 2022-10-03T19:34:47Z

Who doesn't love some pinball! Mechanics were solid. Maybe out of a videogame pinball I would have expected a bit more mayhem. Music felt a little bit out of place. Very polished entry. Surprised you managed to get all those different modes in! Solid game.

Room Again by SofiGnedova 2022-10-05T09:51:17Z

This is such a good game!! The visuals, art, and atmosphere are really good! Gameplay is really well thought out as well. Took a moment to figure things out but it works really well. Really good job at crafting puzzles in a way that could be completed in 10 seconds slots. Really inventive and great execution! A caption that indicates the end is the end would be helpful as I wasn't sure if the game was finished or was going to continue. The intro and ending screens are really well made and effective. Really great work overall! Perfect scope and amount of content for a game jam so very good planning. Polish was on point as well. Well done!

A Quick Bunny Affair 🥕 by Vidu 2022-10-05T12:07:08Z

Beautiful game! Farming is always fun. The art and visual style is amazing! Music is also great. The kids reaction at the end is a bit over the top :D But everything is so incredibly cute! Game feels incredibly polished for a jam entry. Really great work! Not sure if the season changing had any effect or was purely visual.

Escape From Planet Earth! by saintchristopher777 2022-10-05T10:45:42Z

I like the setting and plot idea. Gameplay though didn't feel very engaging. Essentially it's just waiting and the shooting doesn't feel too fun. Missiles felt weak and the other weapons being off-center were quite hard to aim and you'd have to essentially choose to aim only one at a time while the others kept shooting into nowhere. Upgrades were fun, but linking credits earning with the waiting time means that there's no agency over what you earn and it reduces everything to a waiting game. Credits might instead be linked with enemies killed. That would make it feel like what you do has more meaning. Wish some polish and quality of life improvements I can see how this could be quite fun!

This Date Blows! by crow_seeds 2022-10-05T09:34:33Z

Absolutely great game idea! Maybe it was intentional but it was really hard to make out what the guy on the phone was saying about defusal, and had to repeat a few times to hear him properly. I also would have liked better visual/aural feedback about when a new bomb becomes available. Overall excellent concept. Art is great too. With some polish it could definitely be a very fun game.

Impact-Effect by IdeasPerSecond 2022-10-08T06:20:18Z

Really nice entry! The tutorial was very well presented. When beginning gameplay I initially didn't think much of it but it soon became really engaging. I think it was the perfect amount of difficulty ramp as well, so that levels 9 and 10 felt very exciting, with a very present risk of losing, but I still managed to complete it on the first run. I think that's about as perfect as difficulty can get for a jam. Excellent work!

Lighthouse by rickylee 2022-10-03T17:29:16Z

Oh my god what an absolutely gorgeous game. Great atmosphere; incredibly immersive. How did you make the sounds? They're really effective! I think you added just the right ingredients and nothing more to craft a really great mood. The controls were just about clunky enough to feel realistic and not frustrating. Man, I really have no criticism to give :( Too good mate.

Decrypt by Gabriel Chan 2022-10-04T13:24:03Z

Menus are so pretty! Great job on UI. I ran into a bug with the 3 lines where the top one overlapped the second row. Anyway gameplay was really fun, although maybe a bit too much on the difficult side. I would have liked an ability to auto-solve words I couldn't figure out, maybe as a limited skill or something, cause I just ended up having some words stuck there for the whole run.

Very good amount of polish! I know how hard these UI type games can be to make, and how easy it is for bugs to turn up all over!

Tower of the Dice God by Skyward4d 2022-10-05T09:04:56Z

Yo @skyward4d, what a great entry! I played this way too long :D Dice 5 FTW! (and jumping!!)

Gameplay feels great! Ability switching every 10 seconds feels like a really really good use of the theme. And shooting felt excellent. The abilities were different enough to be easily recognizable and they all felt good. Having dice 1 as much weaker was a brilliant way of keeping tension up. The only thing I found annoying is that if you were to try to sneak below a group of enemies but they were too low, you'd instantly lose all your health and was very unforgiving. Having your whole run disappear because of one mistake felt a bit frustrating. Maybe only allowing 1 damage and then half a second or so of damage prevention would have made it easier on the soul.

Overall a really well made entry and great amount of polish. Visuals were clear and UI looked nice. Movement strategy was quite simple and maybe repetitive so that's something that could be improved, but it all felt very fun nonetheless. Great work!

CATS AND COFFEE by Graylure 2022-10-06T07:56:39Z

Oh my what a pretty game! I'm always in awe when art is so good. Characters are really charming (and attractive!). The overall atmosphere is excellent and I could definitely spend way too long playing games like these.

Gameplay was not very obvious at all and I kept losing without understanding why. I assumed it was just a classic "tend to the customers" sort of game. But then I read the help and I learned about the cats escaping. I had seen them in game but thought they were just a cute distraction to kill time. There should at the very least be some sort of feedback when something bad happens (cat escaping, wrong order), even just a simple positive/negative sound effect. Because as it is now everything is very obscure, and losing without understanding why is quite annoying. With a tiny bit of polish and in-game instructions, this could really shine!

Ten Seconds To Midnight by reevest2 2022-10-03T19:50:19Z

Cute game but very difficult. The mechanic of having your own character spawn the bullets that will kill you is very unique! Though it is quite annoying when you die by running into a bullet you just shot in the wrong direction :D Solid entry. I thought it would have been nice to have more than one money at a time so as you don't feel like you're chasing the same thing for a long while, and it would add a bit more strategy rather than blindly running into the only cash in sight.

The book of time magic by Senso 2022-10-04T13:55:14Z

Was quite confusing at first, but then went quite smoothly once figured out. I thought difficulty was a bit too easy and there wasn't any sense of danger. One annoying thing was when tiles changed from being multiples of 2 to 3, because then some 2 tiles were left over and couldn't be combined with anything. A clean replacement of all tiles would have worked better probably. Art is quite nice and game idea is solid. Might just need some better balancing to make it more fun. Game had a great mood and good amount of polish. It was only missing better instructions. Well done!

SKY ROBOT QUANTUM ECHO by Bosco 2022-10-03T20:04:37Z

Yo very cool game! I loved the dialogues! I got stuck where you have to dodge the bullets. Music is really fitting and mysterious. Mechanics feel solid, though a little frustrating at times. Really well polished entry and really nice art!

Birdwatching by Iguanana 2022-10-03T18:51:35Z

This is a really well made game! The art is lovely. The concept is very simple yet engaging. Typing is always fun, and we got to look at beautiful birds as well! Music got a bit repetitive after a while. My only complaint really is that I ended up looking more at the text boxes than at the birds :( I realized at some point that the name could be read by watching the bird as well, but because they come in after the text, looking at the text was more efficient. Maybe there are ways to make it more into actual bird watching rather than textbox watching? Anyway, excellent game!

To Catch a Wizard by badcop 2022-10-06T07:02:01Z

Cute little game! I found the boss too frustrating. It's really hard to escape the green fireballs, they have a deceptively big hurt range, your movespeed is too slow, and your firerate is also slow. Which makes for very unforgiving (and un-fun) situations where making a small mistake is going to be fatal. Nonetheless, very good work and good amount of polish for a compo entry. The fireball effects were very nice. Control configuration was a little clumsy. If you have to use the mouse to aim, might as well place the dash there, or on an easier key like space. Requiring enter for dialogs is also a bit annoying cause it forces you to move one hand. Core rewind mechanic is very compelling and I think a great use of the theme. Good work!

3 minutes in hell by Castitatis 2022-10-03T18:36:05Z

Really well made! The music is fantastic. Immediately thought of Doom :D The art is gorgeous. I'm really impressed with how much you managed to make. Gameplay wise I think this suffers from the usual "weak pistol" problem that doesn't feel very fun. If you haven't already you must watch the Vlambeer talk on screenshake! The mechanic of waiting on the upgrade area was actually quite cool and it's a great way of adding a tactical element.

Spooky Glitch by nicorm 2022-10-04T13:39:17Z

Yoo very nice game! I loved how the music changed between games :D Great amount of content! Making all these different mechanics and art in a jam is impressive. The only thing I was missing was sound effects. I think makes a huge difference especially in these arcade-style games. Art was really well made. And the menus are really cool! Mini-instructions when starting a new mini-game for the first time would have helped. Even just a picture of which controls to use. Took a couple tries to figure that out. Anyway, solid game and good amount of polish!

UMBRELLA REVENGE by SAGIII 2022-10-04T21:32:17Z

Oh my god this gives me Super Meat Boy levels of anxiety. The visuals are beautiful and level design is quite good (AND ANNOYING :D). Music and sounds are a really good fit. I somehow managed to get to the end, but not without a good dose of PTSD. I found the black screen after each death a bit too long. If you have to die repeatedly it's best to get it over with quickly :) Really well polished entry. Great work!

Headcount by Bogden 2022-10-09T09:54:40Z

Oh my god dude, I swear this is the best entry in the whole competition. It's so simple and yet so intense and engaging! I think this is the perfect example of how to achieve great results with the limited time/resources of a jam. Excellent scope management and creativity! Great work.

Exp10sion by lynnezzzy 2022-10-04T19:51:21Z

Pretty good game with lots of polish! At times it felt a bit annoying because you'd figure out how to do the puzzle after a few loops and you'd have to redo it from the start to get it right. Art was really nice and the UI and transitions really fitting. Levels provide a good chance of exploring the mechanics of the ghost clone. Music was well chosen and appropriate. Well done!

Void Well by Helzinko 2022-10-06T06:48:06Z

Very cute little game! A very unique concept that was very refreshing to see. Mood is great and art is lovely. Music is simple but fits incredibly well. Good sound effects too. I think this is a great example of working with an appropriate scope and getting everything to a well polished level. It feels like a completed game, which is a great achievement for a jam! Got to around 10m and then it was getting hard. There was a degree of figuring out strategy rather than blindly shooting, which is always very welcome and keeps the brain engaged. I thought a game like this could definitely benefit from upgrade mechanics. Overall very impressive entry for the compo!

Natural Snek-lection! by Falk Hoeppner 2022-10-04T20:40:28Z

Omg this was so fun. The art is adorable, and some of the combinations are hilarious! Very well done. I wasn't sure how the traits selection worked and it seemed random. I just tried to avoid the vanilla looking snakes and got many of the achievements, but I'm not sure if there was a better strategy. With the timer running down it was hard to wait for better mates anyway and a first-see first-mate approach seemed to be the favored one :D Anyway absolutely loved it. So charming! Brilliant humor too. Great work and good amount of polish. Well done!

10 Seconds, 9 Lives by Joe Bevis 2022-10-05T12:12:48Z

Game is super cute! Minigames were a bit repetitive after a while, and a couple of them were way more difficult than the others (roller+ball and ninjas). Loved the sleeping scene; that was a really sweet addition! Art and visuals are very good. Controls feel a bit unresponsive for some of the minigames. Overall very good work and great amount of polish! Well done.

Stormlight Manor by RogueBrain 2022-10-05T09:22:20Z

Great use of the theme! Very well presented game. Great menu and the screen effects were very fitting and atmospheric. Excellent music as well. Mood was just excellent. Gameplay was fine but it got a bit repetitive and the higher levels started getting a bit frustrating just by how long it was going to take to go through it (having to wait 10s quickly adds up), and that you'd have to restart the whole level. Great entry overall and great amount of polish and attention to presentation!

10 Second Traffic by Grandblood 2022-10-04T13:31:11Z

Very simple but quite effective! I thought difficulty went up very quickly and I was soon swarmed by a full-screen of cars :D Nice fit with the theme. Music got quite repetitive. Overall quite a fun game!

Phantom of Time by Lemare 2022-10-04T21:20:30Z

What a good game! Visuals are really beautiful and sounds are gorgeous. Game mechanic is very fun and engaging and everything feels so polished! Maybe just the jump felt a little odd. My only gripe is that it was a bit annoying when levels would have you choose between going down two different paths and since you can't see you won't know which is the correct one. Really easy to lose that way and it feels a bit too random and unforgiving. Overall a really great experience. Thanks!

Clique Hell High by Sean Esopenko 2022-10-04T22:29:54Z

Really fun game! Very unique take on the theme. I thought difficulty was a bit too hard. It gets easier once you remember what the areas look like, but then you have to restart from the beginning all the time and it's a bit too much. Art was really nice and pretty good mood overall. Definitely a well polished game. Well done!

unbeLEAFable by MYTHRILSMITHS 2022-10-05T09:41:15Z

Really really nice art style and visuals! Unfortunately I had absolutely no idea of what I was supposed to do and couldn't figure out how to water the plants. Music and sounds are really well made. This seems to have great potential but needs better instructions / tutorial!

Stay the Night by StesProject 2022-10-03T17:10:41Z

It took me a while to figure out what was meant with not stopping earlier than the last time! But then the optimal strategy seems to be to purposefully keep the first runs short so that you can run for longer; but stopping early doesn't seem as fun! Either way, very good fit for the theme and the music is absolutely gorgeous and a great fit. An easy improvement could have been to add a lights-off/on sound effect to make the light changing feel more real.

Feed the Deep by Matt Green 2022-10-03T20:35:32Z

Who doesn't love a good farming game! Was not very intuitive at first, but once you get the idea it's straightforward. Nice music and sound effects. Maybe the food required goes up a bit too quickly and feels a bit hard. Also the timer resetting as soon as you feed feels a little unforgiving, because if you do it too early you're wasting resources, but if you do it too late you lose the entire run. The art is quite nice, but the UI could use some visual polish.

Switcheroo by Prologi 2022-10-03T19:09:34Z

I love the art style! Very well polished game. I got to level 6 but then there didn't seem much incentive in continuing as it was all rather the same. Upgrades could fit well into this game. I'm generally not very fond of controls switching but I felt in this case it wasn't as annoying as it usually is and I could get a hang of it. Good music too. Good game!

Monster's Dungeon Shop by Deniz ARAS 2022-10-03T20:10:34Z

Very unique entry! Dragging the weapons around felt quite fun. Really nice art! Music and sound effects are well fitting. I thought it was a bit hard to identify the weapons in all that mess, but it gets easier after a few playthroughs. Very well polished entry!

Another LAST 10 seconds by Serxiolas 2022-10-08T05:54:53Z

Yo excellent entry. Super simple but a very well crafted experience. The sounds add a LOT to the atmosphere, as well as the dialogue lines! I didn't understand if there was an ending or not as nothing different seemed to happen. I think this is a great example of how to make something very engaging while still keeping the scope in check, so very well done for the compo!

Press me...or die by Vykri 2022-10-20T15:35:20Z

Probably the funniest entry I've played :D Really good atmosphere. Graphics are quite simple but everything's communicated very effectively. Had a little OCD trigger when I wasn't able to clean up all the glass as it was out of reach :D Humor is very effective and the plot is compelling enough to keep you interested throughout. Great work with dialogues and voice acting! It was at times a little hard to pick up what was being said, so clearer audio would have been nice. Quite often in jam games that rely on voice audio there's this issue of comprehensibility, especially considering that part of the LD audience does not speak english natively. So I guess special care should be taken to make things as easy to understand as possible (or adding subtitles!).

Game feels quite complete, so great job with scope and time management! Overall very simple game but it does what it needs to do. I think coming up with a simple but effective idea is probably the #1 skill for these jams, and you definitely nailed that! What could have been added was maybe some basic atmospheric background sounds for immersion, and maybe less monotone colors or more filler in the room (but I see how that might have also just been a style choice).

Great work @vykri!

What's Under The Teapot? by thegamearchitect 2022-10-03T16:54:51Z

Yo, sweet game. Great fit for the theme. I found the gameplay a bit slow. The wait time to hear if the choice was correct could have been removed. Especially because at the beginning the game is quite easy but still takes a lot of time because of the waiting. Overall nice idea and setting, and the camera movement was a really neat addition and a great way to fill the waiting time.

Blobbbert: 10 Second Navigator by Xorel 2022-10-03T19:00:00Z

Very nice game! This was a very good way of making use of the theme. The third level was nasty :D Counting tiles felt a bit fatiguing and I wonder if there are additional hints that could be placed to make it easier. I felt like inputting the moves was the more fun part, rather than visually counting things. Nice music. The guardians idea felt really fitting.

Meteoriseten by Igor Morgun 2022-10-04T19:39:18Z

Yo, nice graphics and music choice was very fitting. Overall a good feel. Game mechanics were a bit sloppy, and moving so slow there's no way to actually avoid meteors on reflex, and you just have to hope they don't fall where you are. With a bit of tweaking of meteor or character speed it might get more fun and engaging!

LD52 — Harvest

Froot Processor by Joel Davis 2023-01-09T14:19:54Z

Super cute game! I got stumped by a malfunction :D Gameplay is quite fun when you get to make good combos. Cloning ftw! Nice music and sound effects, and the art is super nice. Great visual presentation and interface as well. As a pico8 game it seems even more impressive! Very well done for a compo entry.

Grow Golf by torcado 2023-01-11T15:40:20Z

Brilliant entry! Very original idea and extremely well executed. Game is well presented, looks adorable and feels great to play. Amount of polish is on point.

Gameplay is engaging but definitely somewhat frustrating. It takes a few minutes to understand how to play and figure out the strategy. One does have to go and read the out-of-game instructions to know what to do, which takes a bit of extra effort and always breaks the immersion. Game does get very difficult very quickly as well, and I was surprised at the pace the terrain starts breaking, feeling it was very overwhelming. I don't think there was any need to force short playtimes with that much difficulty, especially since the basic gameplay loop of just throwing the ball around already feels super satisfying and I would have been happy to have more free-form fun with plant management.

Overall a very good game that I feel might have been superb with better balance decisions.

9CELL by binroot 2023-01-10T11:30:04Z

Great game! On my first playthrough I had not realized how to do my job properly so my only avenue for making money was harvesting my family. Needless to say, it was a VERY dark experience. Then I played through again and learned how to work, which was fun for a while, but once you figure out the optimal clicking strategy it gets very repetitive and you can generate money indefinitely so it's just a matter of deciding when to stop playing. So overall, I actually liked my first clueless playthrough a lot more, as it gave everything so much meaning and gravity. Anyway, overall a very well made game. Using the default godot buttons makes it feel a bit cheap (and it's a very quick fix if you just slap a flat style box on them). But great work!

Homunculus by Iluvatar 2023-01-09T16:15:48Z

Very very beautiful game. Art is just gorgeous. Gameplay is quite fun too and atmosphere is spot on. Music and audio is also great. I definitely was expecting that ending :)

Slim Pickings by ectucker1 2023-01-10T12:14:35Z

Really well presented and great aesthetics. I loved how well color is used to make it very clear what hurts and what you can pickup. I disliked the small stutter on taking damage as it felt like breaking the flow. I thought screen was a bit too cramped and there wasn't enough of a chance to make better use of the cool movement mechanics. Also sometimes a gap between stones would be just a tiny bit too small to fit and that was annoying. Overall excellent arcade-style game with fun gameplay!

Lavender Fields Forever by Rongo Matane 2023-01-12T23:59:21Z

This game is just incredible! It absolutely feels like a finished product. Presentation is superb and there's an insane amount of polish. Art is adorable and music is great. There are so many mechanics thrown in and all of them feel good. Shooting is on point and the planting/harvesting is also very clean. I especially like the autocentering on a tile when working on it. Critters are adorable and the fact that they could get stolen added a lot more connection and made me care for them. Gameplay made sense but I thought it got stale quickly. I think maybe it's because of an overall lack of strategy/tactics. Planting/harvesting was very rote, and enemies shooting also was very basic as they all converged to the same point. Upgrades seemed quick at first but because of the increase in criminality it gets harder and harder to collect enough plants. Also resources being stole tends to feel very annoying in general, since as human beings we tend to be very loss-aware. I'd argue that losing resources as a mechanic is almost never a fun thing to add. Anyway, an extremely impressive entry that I'm sure will place very well, and with a bit more love to gameplay it would have been perfect!

Apples of Agony by Joey Shipley 2023-01-09T20:51:34Z

Very cute idea! Now I feel bad that I wanted to try picking the fruits on the tree despite the warnings :D Art is really nice and everything is very clear. Game is very simple though and doesn't stay engaging for long. Some sound effects would make a huge improvement.

Bas by salmonmoose 2023-01-09T14:04:23Z

Game looks cute. Nice idea with the planting. Sound effects were very loud and annoying. Never set volume to max by default :) Seed selection was a little clunky, and it feels a bit weird to switch from action style controls to the slower sort-through-inventory actions. Art is actually very nice, especially the tiles and plants. Gameplay was maybe not the most engaging, and pace felt quite slow.

The Ballad of Eric Hernandez, Cattle Rancher by GeraldFIngBurke 2023-01-09T21:20:17Z

This is what an actual masterpiece looks like. I played for a little longer than I want to admit :D Jokes aside, I actually really like this kind of stuff. Sometimes simplicity is the best thing. Art is very charming nonetheless, and overall a well crafted experience. Though it definitely has nothing to do with the theme :D

Cute Baby Animal Organ Harvesting Simulator by TheOtherSamP 2023-01-11T20:47:26Z

Hah, who doesn't love some good old fashioned organ harvesting with a... vacuum cleaner gun? :D Game definitely placed a smile on my face which I'm sure was the purpose. The character actually feels extremely fun to control. Platformer controls often feel stiff but I loved how bouncy it felt and how easy it is to clear corners. Particle effects are really well made. Especially the gun. Very pretty! So overall art and presentation were excellent. Maybe better character animations would have made for great improvement.

Gameplay is of course very basic. Controlling the character feels satisfying enough and the madness/charm of the situation makes it engaging enough to play through to the end. At first I wasn't quite sure what I was supposed to do. Shooting was obvious but I felt like I had to do more than just drawing out blood. The fact that the bunnies were just standing there felt like they wanted me to do something more to them... Eventually I contented myself with letting the bunnies bleed and scream and called it a day. I think here the title might have negatively affected game perception, in that it feels like there's more to expect that isn't delivered (fresh organs). If you had called it blood harvester or something it would have immediately made more sense.

So overall, presentation is actually very good, and the setting/plot is original. But for this to become a properly entertaining game some extra mechanic might have been needed. Even something very basic like a hunger meter or money counter (or whatever else we were harvesting organs for) would have already added more purpose and madness.

Harvest Rush by Steven Garberg 2023-01-09T14:56:36Z

Art is pretty nice and music fits quite well, but gameplay is very simple and gets stale very fast. A quick improvement would be to make the mouse selection much more forgiving. Picking up plants required an annoying amount of precision and sometimes I'd miss the basket too, forcing mouse movements to be slow and precise, which is not very fun. Another easy thing might have been to give bonus points/time for filling multiple baskets in quick succession, introducing some form of strategy. Overall a nice looking game that needs something more to become fun.

Scythe of Souls by xaviarrob123 2023-01-10T11:40:36Z

Of course still a bit of a rough prototype, but good work for making something! Art is cute enough and to make this into a game you only need animations, better purpose, and some polish.

Bogged by InfinitySamurai 2023-01-09T21:14:40Z

Interesting game! Was confused at first but eventually figured out how to play. Gameplay is quite unique. I wished the guy would pull the thing back without tripping all over the place :D Game is very simple so there's not too much replay value, and the controls are a little weird. Art is nice and music is cute. Overall I think this was a very clever and interesting application of the theme.

Tactile Harvest by JakobTheQuizGuy 2023-01-09T10:14:41Z

At first I thought I had to move the guy and was super confused why left and right didn't do anything. Once figured out, controls still felt quite clumsy and difficult. Game setting is very bizarre and I really liked that. Good atmosphere too. Art and animations are Super nice, but gameplay is ultimately not very satisfying.

Petra Rabbit's Carrot Chase by TheseusInABottle 2023-01-09T09:50:25Z

Cute game! Art and presentation are nice. Music is fun at first but gets repetitive very quickly. Sound cue on rabbit rescue was a neat touch. Things were a bit small and camera could have been closer. Gameplay is basic but decently entertaining, but carrots didn't seem to have any use? Anyway, cheers and well done!

Drake's Fortune by chompdev 2023-01-14T10:08:00Z

I thought this was a brilliant game idea. I loved the destroying the castles mechanic. And of course who doesn't love being a thicc dragon. Fire and arrow effects were very nice too. Gameplay was fun enough to carry me through getting all the upgrades. That said, shooting felt a bit difficult/unfun. It gets better with upgrades (but still not as fun as it could be) but the initial fire rate is just painful. I'd say slow fire rate is never a good idea for a main skill, and at the very least you want to add some cooldown feedback. The aim system with the crosshair at a fixed distance is also very annoying and I'm sure it only works well with keyboard controls (think the early worms games, and even then it's an artillery game, not action). With mouse it just feels confusing. Anyway, overall a very well executed game technically but it could use some extra love for gameplay feel!

We Harvest as One by Ben Toosey 2023-01-10T11:48:10Z

Very well presented game. Art and UI are great. Music fits well. Gameplay was fun for a bit but on the more complex levels it gets annoying to restart the whole level. Overall a good workout for the brain :) Great puzzle entry, well done.

Automation is the Future of Farming by maxflav 2023-01-10T12:37:03Z

I like these kind of games! Grey arrows were quite a bit confusing. Art style I found a bit hard to read, but it's probably the aesthetic you were going for. Sounds fit well and spacebar is a lifesaver addition. Great work for compo!

Harvest Harvest Crush by rjerez192 2023-01-09T09:25:24Z

Classic gameplay that works! Well done adding music and sound and a good amount of polish. I thought the rules were overly complex and all I can handle is trying to make ANY block happen and not die :D So it's hard to make use of the rules and mechanics. The music was a little rough. Sometimes no music and rather more polish on sound/visual effects can have a better result. Anyway good work, especially well done on all the art.

Forked Up by Paroxysmal 2023-01-11T16:13:32Z

Art and presentation is incredible! Very well done. Sound effects are on point but I think music is almost required for a game like this. Also sounds for menus and dialogs! It is strange to start a game and not hear anything just to get surprised when you jump. Adding extra sounds made with a generator is a super quick way of massively increasing immersion. Anyway, gameplay is alright but gets repetitive very soon. The glorious art is mainly what gets this game going but that only lasts for so long :) Overall excellent entry that just needs a bit more spice!

@itzemii Thanks a lot for the first comment my friend! :D

Wheat Master by nyxkn 2023-01-09T13:13:01Z

@aendawyn Thanks for the report on the browser issue! What browser was that? I tried on firefox and chromium and it seems to work, but I know browsers can get very finicky. Anyway, glad you got the windows build working (I hadn't actually tested that one :D)

Wheat Master by nyxkn 2023-01-09T13:14:34Z

@adis Nice stats friend :D Thanks for playing!

Wheat Master by nyxkn 2023-01-09T14:05:58Z

@aendawyn Thanks for getting back! I'll give that a try. Cheers!

Wheat Master by nyxkn 2023-01-09T15:39:46Z

@horda Thanks a lot! Regarding tilemap expansion I actually had a hard time initially. I tried to come up with a decent algorithm to determine the next size up, but it's surprisingly difficult to work with isometric coordinates. So after wasting an hour or so and not being happy with any of the results, I just ended up manually drawing each expansion as a different tilemap and just swapping them when needed. It works because there's only a limited amount of expansions you can do. Anticlimactic, I know. But this taught me that doing things manually is often the best solution even if it hurts my programmer soul a little bit :)

Wheat Master by nyxkn 2023-01-09T17:40:50Z

@matimat That's a lot of clicks. Excellent endurance :) Thanks for playing!

@feor I appreciate the thoughtful feedback! And thanks for pointing out the volume issue. Getting volumes right can be surprisingly difficult.

Wheat Master by nyxkn 2023-01-09T19:24:31Z

@geraldfingburke Excellent score! I was considering removing that last upgrade but I ultimately I left it in as an extra challenge so one could keep playing a little after unlocking the end. Glad you were brave enough to go for the completionist achievement :D

Wheat Master by nyxkn 2023-01-11T15:11:52Z

@theothersamp Thanks for taking me up on the harsh criticism request :) You raise very good points! I thought it would give the autoharvester more weight/importance if you couldn't interact with it, but it's annoyed quite a few of you so I have to concede that it maybe was a bad idea :D

Your idea of unlocking click-and-drag is brilliant and had not occurred to me! There were quite a few complaints about this functionality missing, but I was determined that leaving it out had been the right decision. But having made it into an upgrade actually sounds like the absolute best idea!

Realizing you can double-click for efficient replanting I'd like to think is part of strategy discovery, but now I'm thinking that also unlocking it as an upgrade might have been ideal.

Thank you for your most valuable feedback my friend!

Wheat Master by nyxkn 2023-01-11T20:14:58Z

@theothersamp Thanks a bunch for the extra feedback! That's all super helpful. I'm quite happy with how the balance turned out overall this jam. But of course as the developer I have a very specific idea of how the game is meant to be played, so hearing about your experience and thoughts on balance is very valuable and makes me see things I hadn't noticed before.

Choosing colors is always so difficult! I feel like I always get something wrong that people point out :D Your tip on ensuring the game is readable in grayscale is another little gem you've now thrown at me. I never thought about it but it seems like an excellent idea and I'll absolutely add this to my workflow. Thanks friend Sam!

Wheat Master by nyxkn 2023-01-12T01:18:46Z

@ani Very nice! Excellent alternative approach. I'm quite pleased to see that. I probably should have added a score bonus for victory with the least amount of resources spent! I now grant you the official achievement title of "Efficiency Master" :)

Wheat Master by nyxkn 2023-01-12T23:16:04Z

@cameron-paxton Musical notes would have been an amazing fit for this game! It hadn't occurred to me at all. Thank you so much for the idea!

Wheat Master by nyxkn 2023-01-14T00:10:53Z

@squimmy Thanks so much for your feedback! Having a small animation for the harvest is actually a great idea I hadn't thought of, thanks for the suggestion!

Wheat Master by nyxkn 2023-01-17T14:12:54Z

@jfeeefl Thank you for sharing that! I love your interpretation. It's always great when players find extra meaning to a game!

Noxious Harvest by Pe7e 2023-01-10T12:45:53Z

Very well presented game! Art is great. Gameplay is just about engaging enough, but I think it's the art that really carries this through. I liked the ending. It retrospectively added a bit of humor to the experience. It's badly missing sound effects and that would have improved the experience massively. Overall excellent attempt at a 3d game with this level of art detail!

Children of the Combine by MilkWine 2023-01-10T12:29:19Z

What the actual fuck did I just experience :D

Loved how surreal this all was. Comics animation was a very nice touch. The ending made zero sense and I guess that's part of the aesthetic of this clusterfuck of a game. Gameplay itself though is kind of boring and I made use of the K helper quite a bit. I have no idea what I just played but I think I liked it.

Pointless Harvest by WouterK12 2023-01-09T19:17:45Z

Game is super well presented! Music is well fitting. The actual gameplay is quite fun, but money progression is very slow and I gave up after a while. I was just harvesting pointlessly :) I really wanted to play more though and unlock more things cause everything was so pretty!

Chess The Second by aslan 2023-01-09T16:00:13Z

Seems like an interesting idea but I ran into a bunch of issues. Sometimes clicking on building the farm actually built the haystack. At some point all the ui got a little messy, getting stuck in the darker mode of when a piece moves. Art is quite nice and it seems like the game has potential, but in its current state it's a bit too confusing. Sound effects would have been a huge addition.

Red Harvester by Forgin Bits 2023-01-09T17:54:19Z

Such a beautiful game! What a great mood and atmosphere. Really fitting music and really nice sound effects. Gameplay is also quite solid. I found the enegry meter to be a bit too punishing and I was spending most of my time refilling energy. Otherwise no complaints. Great work!

Organ Trail by maymay 2023-01-09T09:40:46Z

I loved this game! Atmosphere is excellent. Story and dialogues are brilliant. Art is amazing! Both in-game and dialogues. To be honest not much criticism to make (5/5)! Maybe having to go slow with the scalpel is a bit annoying. I figure it adds to the mood but I'm always wary about mechanics that make games less fun. Anyway, amazing work!

Calorie Crunch by Sean Esopenko 2023-01-14T10:26:24Z

Very cute game and really well presented. Gameplay is solid and quite fun, but my complaint is that it was really hard to figure out some of the recipes. They were not immediately obvious, which is fine and promotes discovery, but even after some attempts I would still not get it and it felt frustrating, especially since we sort of were under time pressure (and the field got filled rather quickly). Making the mechanics obscure can work well in a timer-less puzzle game, e.g. in the witness, but not as much on here I think. Not sure if the hard to figure out recipes were intended or not, but definitely a sticking point. Overall a pretty fun game and definitely a very solid entry!

Hamburger Harvest by Tuomas 2023-01-09T21:00:54Z

Wow, what an experience :D Very beautiful game and super fun. You could have made maybe a few consecutive recipes that increase in difficulty just to keep gameplay a bit longer. Achieving the perfect burger only takes a handful of attempts and then there's nothing more to do. I would have definitely kept playing. Great game! And now I'm hungry :D

Dream Reaper by Orhu 2023-01-10T10:42:06Z

Cute game and good mechanics! Moving around was a bit slow, and holding down direction to move faster would have been good. Or alternatively just make the levels smaller! At times you have to walk through long corridors with nothing to do at a fixed speed. Sounds were a bit harsh and loud. Never keep audio by default at max volume :) Art is really cute and nice animations too. I liked the puzzle elements but it could easily be made more fun with usability / level design improvements.

Also why do I need keys if I can phase through doors :))

Harvest of Love by Mariavalcam 2023-01-09T15:33:48Z

Cute idea. Very well written dialogues! Music is quite nice as well. An issue: if you click on a non-button dialog and the next one has buttons, the next button gets pressed during the same click! Overall nice entry, but I thought the ending was a bit anticlimactic.

TanksGiving by Zonoxx 2023-01-09T15:01:46Z

Game looks quite cute and fun characters! Gameplay is very simple though and gets stale very quickly. Aim system with the fixed crosshair is always a bit clunky. Also suffering from the "weak pistol" problem. You **definitely** need a much more powerful weapon as a tank! Overall a nice looking game that isn't quite fun enough just yet.

4 Harvest Bags by kenneth-dd 2023-01-09T15:47:58Z

What a beautiful game!! I'm very impressed. I'm also very surprised at how much cognitive load this requires! It was a very pleasant feeling of my brain suddenly at 100% focus after playing other more relaxed entries. Thanks for the experience :D Art is really cute, and game feels very polished. It's good to have a win screen and I think you found a nice balance of how long the game is. But I would have happily played longer.

Alien Fruit Harvest by kossnocorp 2023-01-09T14:40:08Z

I absolutely hate this jumping mechanic :D After falling back to the start twice, I went and flipped the table. But the THING, whatever the thing is, is incredibly **adorable**. The sounds effect are brilliant. Very simple entry overall that would need something more to be fun.

Boar'd'Hell by Blublu 2023-01-09T10:01:52Z

Took a while to understand what aligning the beam meant. Azerty controls should probably not be the default but good that you had rebinding. The gameplay is decently engaging once you figure out the mechanics. What's really stunning is the in-game pixel art which was Very beautiful. But overall presentation and UI need a great deal more love :)

Harvest all Humans! by Undev Games 2023-01-10T11:59:13Z

Very well presented game! Great art and aesthetics. Gameplay is fun but combat is a little clunky. At the start not being able to interact with things when the E prompt shows up made me think that the mechanic was broken. The cloning idea is very smart and overall the game is a great fit for the theme!

Money grows on trees by Fluburbio 2023-01-09T18:10:08Z

Very fun little game :) Got my field full of bananas and called it a day. An end screen could have been nice, or of course, more progression. Art looks simple but you managed to make it work really well. Gameplay wise, the cost of the different trees was too similar and I just went from apple to bananas. That's a shame because you had made more content that the player doesn't get to see. So I think you either want to force the player to go through all the content, or make less content and focus on other things like juice and polish.

MegaBurgers by Horda 2023-01-09T13:45:18Z

Took me a while to figure out how everything worked, but then it became quite fun :D Graphics is simple but quite clear. Some sound effects would have been nice, but the little tune was actually very appropriate and fun to hear. The fonts could have been a bit bigger maybe, and the tutorial text could have shown in the middle of the screen. It wasn't obvious that the text there was important. Anyway, good work!

No Harvest by RogerW 2023-01-10T10:57:25Z

Very cute game. Great art and presentation. Gameplay is fun and interesting at first. But balance-wise I think there's too much of a feeling of powerlessness, where it's just impossible to keep up; not because the player skills are lacking or could improve with practice, but simply because there are no tools available. So it feels somewhat frustrating because you know it's inevitable you'll lose and it doesn't offer much replay value. Game idea is solid though and definitely one of the most original theme applications.

A Small Village by MostLikely 2023-01-09T10:34:16Z

Game is really well drawn and I really wanted to like it, but it's WAY too difficult. It's so incredibly difficult that all the fun is ruined. I never got to building a house. I tried different strategies but there's way too many enemies and they're way too fast at bringing down the fire. Controls are also really clumsy and that makes it that much more frustrating. Less enemies! More fun! Otherwise atmosphere is gorgeous. Shame I couldn't spend more time playing!

Nesting by HypernoodleJon 2023-01-09T13:54:02Z

Cute game! The flapping mechanic was fun but eventually I got a bit tired of spamming C :D I really liked how you got heavier with more twigs. Very simple game but was enjoyable and just the right length. Any longer and it might have become frustrating. So very well done with scope. Art is nice and the atmosphere is good. Not much criticism to be honest. It's a simple game of course but quite effective for what it is.

Farmtown Mowdown by Stevie257 2023-01-09T15:22:26Z

Super cool game! Rare to see FPS games in ld but I'm a huge fan so thanks! Soundtrack is glorious, and the voiceovers are brilliant :D Love the retro art style and presentation as well. Impressive entry for a jam! Lots of content. Was pleasantly surprised to see different enemies as well. It was a bit annoying to have to walk all the way to the barn for the shop. I got to wave 6 but when I died and restarted the wave, the combine wasn't moving anymore, which made it a lot more difficult. Also had some issues with mouse capture. Overall outstanding work!

Harvesting Hustle by AngryRubberDucky 2023-01-09T14:31:36Z

Very cute game, but gameplay is incredibly confusing :D At first I had no idea what was happening. Then I realized that I have to keep the sheep away. Only THEN I realized that I actually want to let them eat Some of the crop :D Anyway, very simple but decently engaging. Nice entry.

A Conversation With A Stranger by Adam Burt 2023-01-09T18:30:16Z

My friend, this is really good writing! I really like the beginning, then the middle section with all the train of thoughts gets a bit less interesting and I felt like I was going to be disappointed, but the ending turned everything around and made for a worthwhile read. A couple times the dialogue choices felt a bit out of place, but overall quite fitting. Very nice work!

LD54 — Limited Space

RatTrap by JCMonkey 2023-10-03T12:43:19Z

Game looks very nice. Gameplay I found a bit repetitive and a bit annoying having to walk back and forth the same ways because keys were the wrong ones. Also the message about a key being "fake" was confusing, because it turned out that a key that was "fake" for a door could actually open a different door. But fake makes you instead think that the key is useless. Overall it's well presented visually. Maybe some walk animation on the character could have added a lot more immersion. Controls were simple and intuitive enough and the pickup mechanic seemed to work very well.

BLOCKIES by Ayxs 2023-10-08T14:52:00Z

I played this game for way too long :D Really well done! So relaxing and addicting. I felt it was a bit RNG, and because of the complexity of the blocks you could easily get screwed over. One thing I found very annoying was how you're not able to place vertical blocks that go downwards if you have a hole in the middle, because you can only grab them at the bottom. In general, some blocks couldn't be places how you wanted them because there was no cube just next to where you were grabbing the block, even if such a placement would have been valid.

Anyway, aside from the control issues, this was a really well made game. Very smooth gameplay. Maybe the menus could use some polish. But overall great game!

Package Express by SpicyMarcus 2023-10-07T14:06:19Z

Pretty fun and well executed idea! I like a simple mechanic that's intuitive to pick up. The rate at which new packages comes around becomes unmanageable after a while. That's probably the typical problem with increasing things linearly. Splitting the gameplay into different days also seemed a bit artificial. Nothing changed between days so it wasn't sure what the purpose of that decision was. It just feels like a way to restart the game three times. Anyway, aside for those minor issues, a very well made game!

Bucket Buffet by Don Fouts 2023-10-04T12:57:47Z

Game is very well presented. Lots of nice food art :) But gameplay was a bit uninteresting. The gameplay loop was very basic and there's no thought involved. Small nitpick, you say MMB to rotate food. But MMB actually means clicking the middle button. What you actually meant was the scroll wheel. That was a bit confusing. The game also felt like it lacked a bit of purpose. Which can be fine in itself, but it would rather have to be accompanied by a very fun gameplay loop where any deeper meaning doesn't really matter. Overall, very pretty and cute game, but lacking a fun gameplay or more substance.

Candy Catcher by HagamosVideojuegos 2023-10-08T13:01:58Z

A most charming game! I really liked this. Mechanic is really well done. Finger felt so real that it personally hurt a bit when it got jammed. Very simple and short, but it's pretty much a complete experience. It would have been nice to have a few more levels, with different container shapes. Maybe even just a first level with a large opening on the container, which I'm sure would have been straightforward to implement, but could have made it feel like a lot more content and offer more playtime.

Flicker of Lumina by Nash 2023-10-04T13:58:19Z

What a cute game! Very addicting to play. Art is nice. Gameplay loop is good. Upgrades are okay, but some don't feel like they make a noticeable impact. Hitbox was a bit punishing. Especially with the boss, almost impossible to avoid. I would have wanted more fireflies on the screen. Boss was very scary though, as in I managed to somehow beat it on the first run but avoiding it felt way too difficult and I was sure I would have died. Which would have been sad because if I did I probably wouldn't have started another run given how much time it takes to get to the boss.

Overall a very solid entry. Well done!

Introvertigo by Scott Steffes 2023-10-07T15:49:34Z

Oh my god what an excellent game. Everything is just about perfect. The mood and atmosphere is so tense. It's a true psychological horror game. You manage to get me fully immersed in the scenario. The art is beautiful. The sound effects are brilliant. Dialogues are very good. Actually surprising how much the npc replies very often fit into the conversation rather smoothly, so smart work there. This is the most immersive game I've played so far. Amazing work for a game jam!

Limited Parking Space by Johnsensei 2023-10-07T15:38:27Z

Rather cute game! But the controls while reversing should be inverted! Anyway, I think the game really captures the stressfulness of the situations very well. It's well presented, with nice art and music. A good concept too. Maybe the driving itself can be improved to feel a bit more smooth and easier to control. Pretty good game overall!

Antigravity Cat Orbs by John Saba 2023-10-08T13:26:57Z

A brilliant entry! Wow. So simple but so fun and addicting. It could use some visual polish but it's absolutely charming anyway. The sounds and music were so good. However simple this is, I think it's a really well done and satisfying game. Leaving it open ended with just a counter is brilliant. It really doesn't need any sort of objective. That might actually ruin the experience. Overall really well done!

If I Fits, I Sits! by cheesepencil 2023-10-07T14:43:26Z

Brilliant entry! Very simple but super fun and challenging. A really nice mood too. I had a smile on my face the whole time. My absolute favourite feature was the steps sound that becomes faster and faster. I've seen picture of the x3 perfect placement, but I never got it. So maybe that was too strict, or the bounds of the cat not very clear.

Anyway, absolutely great submission. It's everything a game needs to be.

Clockwork Tower by chompdev 2023-10-07T16:54:41Z

Outstanding game! The mood and atmosphere was so immersive! I really enjoyed the puzzles. On the first playthrough it wasn't exactly obvious that you were supposed to look for things that were changing. Anyway I got ending A, and I tried to play again to get the other ending but I wasn't able to figure out what else was I supposed to be doing to change the ending. Please give me a hint :D

Art is really well made and the ambient sounds are so unsettling, especially the fact that they seem to be coming from somewhere but one can never pinpoint exactly where. I really ejoyed playing this game, so thanks for the experience!

Corridor Duels by nyxkn 2023-10-03T11:13:30Z

@jcmonkey I've come across the controls getting stuck bug as well. For me it seems to happen on chromium browsers only. On firefox it hasn't happened. Is it a known issue with Godot? Thanks for letting me know!

Corridor Duels by nyxkn 2023-10-03T13:27:27Z

@airwaffle Impressive commitment! I hereby grant you the official swordmaster achievement :D

Corridor Duels by nyxkn 2023-10-03T13:43:40Z

Regarding the stuck controls bug, it seems you can get unstuck by clicking once outside the game window and then clicking back on the game.

Corridor Duels by nyxkn 2023-10-03T14:44:32Z

@timo5034 @crylica @cleitoneldorn @jcmonkey

The controls bug should be fixed now! It seems to be an issue with how Godot handles input actions. Fortunately I seem to have found a workaround.

Corridor Duels by nyxkn 2023-10-04T11:52:48Z

@thief It's an issue with actions getting stuck in the pressed state. See my bugreport: https://github.com/godotengine/godot/issues/82732

So if you use things like is_action_pressed() you can run into this issue. But the solution is to bypass actions and just check for key presses directly, like with is_key_pressed(). Key-presses get updated correctly. It's just actions that get stuck.

Corridor Duels by nyxkn 2023-10-04T13:19:24Z

@quasilyte Thanks for the feedback! Hadn't come across the music stuttering, but I'm afraid that might just be a Godot issue with not much to do about it. I'll look into it.

Corridor Duels by nyxkn 2023-10-08T11:56:48Z

@dan-burns I did not know about Nidhogg but it looks amazing and now I have to play it. Thanks for the rec! :D

Corridor Duels by nyxkn 2023-10-11T10:04:03Z

@phlip45 Ahh, you might be right about the timer being wrong. I know I came across that issue before but thought I had fixed it. Thanks for the heads-up!

Bound Balance by imwonderr 2023-10-08T13:20:56Z

Very nice game. Ended up finding some balance and then nothing happened. Got to 5k years before quitting. The art is really pretty and game is smooth. Gameplay seems like an interesting idea, but it could use some better balance. Beginning is way too chaotic and it's really hard to understand what's going on. I never figured out what the lightning does, other than looking pretty. I think it's a solid entry overall but with some balance tweaks it might become a lot more fun.

Whiskers in the Dark by Diego Teran 2023-10-08T12:47:19Z

Very nice atmosphere. The lights and music really adds to the mood, even if the levels art was a bit bland. Overall the gameplay feels a bit like any generic platformer. Getting caught also felt frustrating and it's very tempting to ragequit (which I did at some point :) Controls are a bit clunky and the light hitbox is very punishing. I think overall it's a solid entry, but I think it succeeds mostly because of the atmosphere and music, and the gameplay itself isn't particularly fun.

HEXAK by Phillip Scott 2023-10-04T12:46:34Z

Very well polished game. Atmosphere and mood are great. Gameplay itself I found a bit confusing. There was lots of text presented at first, which is already daunting, and after that you're still not sure on how to play. For example I had no idea why certain buildings weren't being powered up. And then I wasn't sure about the purpose. Okay, I have to place buildings. Why? Just to place buildings? The sense of purpose wasn't very clear. Overall it's a beautifully presented game that maybe lacks a bit of substance.

Pixel Piles by Gabriel Chan 2023-10-03T12:10:09Z

Game is super cute! The game mechanic actually seems very interesting, and I would have liked to play more. But after a bit of figuring out the controls and how to play, the game still turned out to be extremely difficult. Specifically, rotating blocks is way too hard. That on top of trying to use the hold is way too much cognitive overload. I think if block rotation happened just with a button press it would become rather enjoyable. Or even getting rid of hold and replacing that button with rotation. So I think the gameplay is a bit flawed, but presentation is excellent, and of course from a technical point of view, everything works very well and smoothly.

Too Maneon Loots by lastuck 2023-10-04T12:30:36Z

I really love the concept here, but I think execution is a little off. There is way too little time to read the item descriptions and the inventory fills up way too quickly. You also die very quickly. So really there isn't much time to do anything and it all feels like you have to quickly make random choices. The drag and drop also felt a bit clunky because you have to click to drop. You could have easily done away with drop on button release to make for a smoother flow.

In the end I think this could have great potential and I'm disappointed I couldn't experience this better. It seems like you put a lot of effort on content and mechanics, but maybe more time should have instead gone into gameplay tweaks and quality of life improvements.

disembARK by Crygos 2023-10-03T11:47:44Z

About to play the game. Just saw your notice about macos problem. There's an [open Godot issue](https://github.com/godotengine/godot/issues/70691) about it.

I haven't tested this fix myself, but from what I've learned, for chromium browsers at least, it seems one has to switch to the metal graphics backend. Either with the command-line flag --use-profile=metal, or switching to metal for the angle graphics backend in chrome://flags.

disembARK by Crygos 2023-10-03T12:01:24Z

Game is pretty cute! The animal sounds are brilliant :)

I played on easy mode but even then at the end it's massive chaos and the amount of animals is overwhelming. So much so that I felt like giving up at some point and just waiting for the last few days to pass. Also nothing seemed to happen regardless of how well I was doing so it wasn't immediately clear what the game win/lose conditions were. Regardless, the core mechanic works well and I feel bad saying this but I smiled as I dropped the first few animals :D Maybe music could have been a bit more interesting and less repetitive.

Bimbi's Cosmo Party by Frib 2023-10-07T15:01:13Z

Lots of mini-games content! Overall it felt a bit messy an visually unpolished. The voices were a bit annoying as well. Music was a great fit, and I'm impressed with all the art that went into this! Gameplay was a bit confusing at first. And controls for some of the games feel very hard, like for the flappy bird game. Overall some of the games were pretty fun and appropriately challenging. A bit more polish overall would have been welcome.

LazerPhaser by EvilMurlock 2023-10-04T14:05:34Z

Nice puzzle game! I quite like these type of puzzles. Art is nice and animations are really good. Controls felt a bit clunky, and the choice of keys was also a bit strange. Like the fact that you could only place things in front of you. But I also really liked the concept that dying was acceptable as part of the strategy. Overall a decent game, but could do with some quality of life improvements.

Gacha Fever by Falestress 2023-10-04T13:45:58Z

Very well presented game! Gameplay is very smooth and well executed. Weapons feel satisfying and the art is great. At around level 8/9 it seems levelling up becomes really slow, so at that point it's not fun anymore. The fun in this game is not so much moving around, but rather obtaining new equipment. So when that stops happening, there's no incentive in playing anymore. The other annoying thing was the damage you would take outside the circle. Eventually, the circles close too fast so you're spending all your time outside anyway. Which is not a problem because of the lifesteal. But at the same time, you have to live with the annoying -2 sound effect continuously. Also it wasn't clear what was the clear condition for the wave. Was it time? Amount of enemies killed? Which would be a strange metric, as monsters were still on the screen.

Anyway, a very fun and satisfying game (as long as you can level up). Well done!

Packed to the Gills by npckc 2023-10-03T11:44:22Z

Very cute art and mood! The gameplay is intuitive enough to start with, and gets pleasantly challenging. I really liked how the playing is at the same time relaxing and engaging. The timer for the input keeps it engaging, but at the same time there's no hard consequences for missing trains. One can enjoy the atmosphere so much more this way!

Snowlord by minjutin 2023-10-04T13:25:58Z

Game seemed pretty cute. Very well presented and a good tutorial. Gameplay seems interesting but felt a bit random. I would have assumed the tunnels would collapse when I'd approach the yellow/red numbers, but actually it would randomly collapse even at green. So that was a bit confusing and it felt like your choices were all a bit pointless since anything could happen anyway.

Overall a well crafted game, but might need some gameplay improvements to feel satisfying.

Six Floors Under by maxededo 2023-10-08T12:25:49Z

A really good game! The setting is very nice, and a great use of the theme. Art is really cute. Elevator music is very fitting :D Gameplay is smooth and works really well. Choice of zxcv for actions was a bit odd. Using the home row asdf or top row qwer would seeem more intuitive. Also the most used command, move, on pinky finger? Not ideal. Other than that, I really enjoyed this game. Intuitively, I tried at first to push bags instead of people and was confused as to why that didn't work. The kill sound effect I thought didn't fit very well with the stealth vibe. Anyway, a really well executed game and very immersive. Definitely feels like a complete experience. Impressive entry!

Also regarding rules, it is allowed to make bugfixes, but something like adding a tutorial isn't. I understand you're providing the original version as a download, but the itch.io version is what most people are going to play, so IMO the itch version should be the original one, and if anything, the extra things can be added to a download.

KAAMOS by PabloAbraham 2023-10-07T15:29:21Z

Such a beautiful game! The mood and atmosphere is incredibly immersive. The art is just gorgeous. Reminded me a lot of disco elysium. The menus are really pretty and well crafted. Compared to how well everything was presented, the yellow squares for the inventory felt a bit out of place. On one playthrough I got stuck at the medicines town, where the dialogue window closed itself and I couldn't move the truck anymore. Driving the truck itself was also very satisfying and really fit the scenario. The shooting felt a bit underwhelming. I would have liked a louder sound or to see the projectiles.

Anyway, aside from the nitpicks, this was a gorgeous entry. Very impressed with the amount of work and polish that went into this. Thanks for this experience!

InvenStory by pro4 2023-10-04T13:16:21Z

That was incredibly well presented. The art is beautiful. And the little map and the travelling added so much charm and immersion. Gameplay is pretty fun and intuitive. The one thing that bothers me was how sometimes you did not have enough information on what to pack. You would get it wrong, and then you would see the correct information once you failed. That felt very pointless and a waste of time. Guessing correctly seems impossible, so it just seems like you wasted time packing things for no reason. For example the guy that wants to protect his hair says he prefers shields, but then it turns out he actually wanted three breastplates. Why? What's the point of deceiving the player like this?

Anyway, it's a really solid entry with a fun gameplay and appealing art. Great atmosphere and mood. Well done!

Space Bar ☆ Porter q(≧▽≦q) by Kuchinashi 2023-10-08T13:50:34Z

This was actually a really good game! Visuals could use some polish, but gameplay is solid! I really like this type of puzzle platformer. It feels good to try to solve the problem, and it's challenging but at the same time it's not frustrating at all. Well done! So core gameplay is there, and dialogues were good enough to give purpose to the story. What's left is some polish and juice. For example more feedback on the spacebar counter (at first i didn't understand the spacebars were limited). The way the dash mechanic worked at first was a bit confusing. It was more like a teleport than a dash.

Overall, really solid entry, that is actually really fun to play! Also the unique take on the theme was very smart!

Before The Trip by Nilan 2023-10-07T14:53:10Z

Omg such a cute game! The atmosphere is so immersive. The music is very well chosen. The art is just beautiful. Packing the inventory was surprisingly engaging. Discovering that items could be combined was also a really rewarding moment. I think the game lives well enough on its art and mood, but maybe there might be ways of making gameplay more engaging, as now it gets stale quite soon. Overall impressive entry. Thanks for this experience!

FELL OUT by daveranan 2023-10-03T13:22:32Z

What a beautiful experience! The art style and presentation is astonishing. Easily one of the best visually compelling game I've ever seen in ludum dare. The dialogues are really charming and well done. Boat riding is very satisfying. Navigating without any sort of map and such a small vision range felt bit like a chore. I didn't end up finishing the game because it seemed like it was going on for a long time and it felt like it was mostly just going to be walking around. Regardless, absolutely excellent quality for a LD submission. Gameplay might have been a bit more engaging.

Sip & Slime by JakJak 2023-10-07T16:13:49Z

Very cute farming/cooking game. Really pleasant to play and doesn't get frustrating, but still requires focus to get the right plants down. Some fitting music could have added to the mood, but other than that I have no criticism. The art and animations are really nice and the gameplay is smooth and well executed. Overall an excellent entry!

CaveBots by quasilyte 2023-10-07T14:32:15Z

Very nice game! I easily get lost playing these type of games forever. I played for a while but not sure if it was even possible to win. Enemy base restocked quite quikly, and titans felt a bit underwhelming. Overall, energy was a hard cap on smooth gameplay. I'd have generators everywhere but I'd still be energy starved all the time, making me have to just wait to do things. Which breaks the flow and the fun. I think with a bit of a better resources balance it could be quite fun. It's pretty nice to see all the bots run around. Even though they all seemed to be very inefficient. Anyway, great entry overall! With just some gameplay balance tweaks needed to make it shine. Menus were also very pretty. Well done.

Nice Park! by Barbabulle 2023-10-04T12:17:56Z

Really good game! This was impressive. The idea is brilliant and excellent execution. Controls feel very smooth and intuitive. The only minor annoyance was how when reversing direction, you have to be careful to start pressing forward/back Before any direction, otherwise you'd still turn a bit in the old direction. I enjoyed playing but didn't get to the end, as it all started feeling a bit repetitive. I'm not sure how others see this, but I personally feel like if a game is too long / has too much content, it detracts from the experience. I *want* to see the ending, but at some point it can turn into a bit of a grind. So maybe instead of too much content, one could maybe focus on improving other aspects of the game instead. But again, that's just my personal thoughts.

Space Ltd. by HangoverGames 2023-10-03T12:29:13Z

My god, what a trip. I enjoyed this way more than I'd feel comfortable admitting. I had a smile on my face the whole time. Is that bad? :)

The amount of juice is just perfect. The camera shake, the tails of blood on the floor. The screaming nerds. The heavy metal riff and speed boost on a killing streak. Just so much polish! I also really loved the screen wrap. I think it fits the game perfectly. My W key was down the whole time, literally. I had no idea what the secrets were or how to get them. I got some of them randomly and still didn't know what or how.

And on top of all of that, you even managed some storytelling, which was pulled off very convincingly. The setting and mood and theme usage is brilliant.

As a minor annoyance, the disclaimer popup was always sticking out from the bottom of the screen. And speaking of those warnings, I thought a little bit of it was fun, but maybe I thought you had a bit too many of them (and again at the end), so it felt a bit overbearing.

LD57 — Depths

Submarine-Souls by psychomonster 2025-04-07T19:40:15Z

Very cute looking! Nice presentation and surprisingly immersive world. Art is done with taste. Camera work is a bit chaotic, way too much screen shake :D Overall a complete game with nice art and sound effects!

The Void by Iluvatar 2025-04-07T20:43:06Z

Amazing art and presentation! Loved the story too. Very gripping! Maybe the writing at the end got a bit weak, and not sure exactly what happened in the last scene :D Really immersive experience overall, thanks!

The Mine Beckons by dnp 2025-04-07T20:13:41Z

Cute little game! Surprisingly more addicting than I expected :D Some sound effects would have done wonders I think! It wasn't obvious that the goal was to complete the whole square. I thought I was going to find things while digging. Anyway, thanks for the fun!

Crust Busters by ectucker1 2025-04-07T21:49:53Z

Such a good game!! Mad high energy action. I wasn't expecting to play a racing game with actual opponents! The interactions felt so satisfying (bless their souls). I was wishing at times I'd be able to go faster but I was always on the edge of "if I went a bit faster it'd be amazing" but never quite got there. I'm sure you could add even more high octane action in here. Extremely satisfying gameplay and idea. Would definitely play more of this. Great amount of polish and very cute flavour text and setting, and excellent music too. Thanks for the experience!

Scavenger Deep by hope42morrow 2025-04-08T17:04:49Z

Wow, the art is amazing! The whole atmosphere and mood is great. The setting is also very intriguing and immersive. Everything feels well polished as well. Gameplay itself was maybe a bit uninteresting and repetitive. Otherwise very well made entry! Definitely stands out among the rest. Well done, and thank you for the experience!

Focus Hunt by dhim 2025-04-13T10:58:39Z

Cute game idea! But way too hard! I couldn't find any of the letters except L and that one didn't seem to work. I assume they have to be found in order? Also couldn't find the rabbit. And tbh, I couldn't even find them in the clear picture you posted above!! Anyway the blur effect is really cool! Music got a bit annoying after a while. You had a mute button but I didn't use it in case it also removed the item found sound. Overall a nice and complete entry. Just way too hard :D

Wrinkles by OadT 2025-04-07T20:23:24Z

Surprisingly addicting! And a little unsettling :D Great dialogues. Puzzles were very fun as well. Could have really shined with some sounds!

Clambell's Great Escape by botwoj 2025-04-07T20:50:44Z

Really cute! Surprised at how good the controls felt! I was having loads of fun until the boss showed up and it was Super hard. Very cute art and sounds, and lovely smooth gameplay. Maybe boss a tiny bit too hard :D Such a relaxing atomsphere overall. Thanks!

DESCEND with CAUTION by LightningST 2025-04-07T12:04:43Z

Really well executed! It all feels very polished. Great presentation. Controls feel good, and gameplay is as intuitive as it is frustrating :) Very frequent checkpoints was super welcome :D Very fun experience overall!

LD57 - Slappy's Reef by Scott R Howell 2025-04-07T20:02:15Z

Such cool vibes! Really nice presentation. A little bit of framerate jank, but overall really fun. I'm not sure exactly what I was supposed to be doing but just mashing buttons randomly felt fun. I think that's the definition of success :D Really wanted to go see the platform in the distance hahaha. Super pleasant experience. Thanks!

Sokobound by farzher 2025-04-13T11:05:32Z

Really neat presentation! Very minimal visuals but all so polished and it looks really clean. The puzzles are insane. Got hard stuck on tunneling :( Anyway great effort and overall a very polished entry!

Diggin' Deeper by gquibao 2025-04-11T18:52:54Z

Really cute and fun game! At the start I thought controls weren't working because it wasn't intuitive you had to click on play. Game's really well executed. Nice art, nice music, gameplay works fine. A small improvement could have been to stop a little once on a new level to have a chance to strike the new layer instead of always skipping the first tile. Would have been a bit smoother and prevented some waiting around for the dwarf to come back just to strike one missing tile. Pretty fun gameplay overall and neat atmosphere!

DeepFrame 9 by JavaSaurus 2025-04-07T12:12:10Z

Excellent presentation! Great music and game feel. Nails the arcade vibe! Controls were intuitive and gameplay was fun for a little while, but gets repetitive very soon. Also felt a little disappointing how the momentum was killed regularly by the new floor, and the floors felt very "stopping". I would have liked to smash through stuff more easily :D

Holy Moly! by Thomas_Bringer 2025-04-11T19:33:07Z

Hey this was really fun!! I love the idea of the moles being so violent :D Really well executed game, and so polished and complete! Great art, music, sounds, and gameplay works really smoothly. Surprised you managed such a complete experience for compo! Game didn't seem to work at all on firefox btw, but chrome worked fine. A small complaint is it would have been better to have more warning of when the farmer were going to shoot. As it stands, you just had to wait around far enough to dodge and then tackle them. But that made for a less flowy experience. Anyway, great game!

Sub-Silence by Pusheeneiro 2025-04-10T09:47:28Z

Great presentation! I think you've really nailed the atmosphere. Aesthetic was minimal enough to make you really feel the situation. Gameplay I think was a pretty good idea but I don't actually think my torpedoes were doing anything?? Even when I thought I'd lined up the enemy very well they'd still be there. If they take multiple hits, or if the torpedoes have a chance of missing, then that should have been more clear. Otherwise it just comes off as "not working" for a new player. Overall loved the theme and atmosphere! Gameplay could use improvements.

Hooked by mira 2025-04-07T11:54:41Z

Cute little game. Nice art and a cohesive look and presentation. Intuitive gameplay. Repetitive mashing of the keys gets tiring very quickly so for this mechanic it's just about the right game length! Could have really used sound effects though!

Handbag Havoc by fnelix 2025-04-07T21:27:17Z

So cute! Really nice art and aesthetic. The music is nice but gets repetitive quickly. At first I was trying to be careful with the bag, but after a while I just started to quickly throw everything out and it was SO satisfying :D I'm so glad you only added penalty and didn't fail the stage on items dropped!! Thanks for the fun experience :D

Escape from the Depths of Hell by yohadams 2025-04-07T12:25:49Z

Simple game but nice art and aesthetic! The gameplay got repetitive very quickly. In terms of controls, the mashing might have worked better on the right hand instead of left? Music was also repetitive, but good amount of polish overall, managing art and sounds and all!

@khaotom that sounds amazing! would have loved to experience that myself hahaha

Vanity Check by NoNumbersGames 2025-04-10T10:06:50Z

Fun little game! Presentation was a bit messy but gameplay was intuitive and worked alright. On first playthrough I just went straight up and fought what I assume is the final room and completed the game like that. But then I went back and tried the other rooms too and it made more sense. Maybe a better way of forcing the correct progression would have worked better, making sure players see more of your content. Overall funny setting and dialogues. I think art worked ok though it was quite minimal. Decent entry!

HIM(1).Locked by fosf0 2025-04-08T16:28:09Z

This game is so gripping! I've been stuck not being able to unlock [DELETED] or HIM(1) for the last 15 minutes. Can I get a hint? I NEED TO SEE THIS THROUGH. Art is great, and the music is excellent and fits the mood so well. Overall amazing atmosphere and story/writing is top notch. Please help me get to the end so I can move on with my life :D

HIM(1).Locked by fosf0 2025-04-09T07:14:44Z

OK I FINISHED IT. I had the right idea all along but all the animals I tried were NOT the right one. Opening the last file was amazing. You sort of knew what was coming as soon as you saw the names of the unlocked files :D And the ENDING ending was also a brilliant idea but somehow it didn't hit as powerfully. Anyway, thanks for the experience my friends. I know it's hard to set the difficulty right for these things. All best!

Voyage au centre de la Terre by xpoho 2025-04-11T19:39:53Z

Interesting game, but I had no idea what I was supposed to do at the book battle! The one line of voice over was excellent :D

Living Lift by Scrawach 2025-04-07T19:51:47Z

Art was super cute! Really well made. I loved some of the surrealist furniture placement as well, and the open space between levels. Simple gameplay but entertaining enough. Didn't quite understand why the lift health was going down or why i got to level one in any case :D Whatever, I see a shiny piece of meat on bone, I like.

Ciggy by kenevil1 2025-04-08T15:35:14Z

Cute game! Great amount of polish. Gun was suffering from "starter pistol" syndrome and could have definitely been made more fun to shoot :) Gameplay was rather chaotic. Was often getting damaged even when I thought I'd dodged. Also took me some time to figure out there was a jump button as well! Could have been way more immersive with some music! Overall well polished entry and a cute backstory. Thanks!

The Deepest Descent by ssiannas 2025-04-07T20:31:15Z

Such a cool game! Intro was amazing :D Great music and sound effects. Art is excellent. Really cohesive feel and aesthetic. Gameplay was intuitive and fun. Movement was maybe a little too slow for the speed of the incoming madness, and difficulty ramped up pretty quickly. Very fun time, thanks!

Not Too Deep by Crak 2025-04-08T16:36:15Z

Super cool idea! And really well executed. Amount of force feels pretty accurate! And some of the... situations... really make you care for the result and try hard to get it right :D Art was well made and a little unsettling. Final scene was just mad, 10/10.

Deep Mech Salvage by bearcage 2025-04-08T07:03:43Z

Pretty well executed! Art is nice. It takes a minute to get used to seeing things correctly but then it flows quite well. Well polished and gameplay feels nice. The music was a very good track but I thought maybe it was a little too high energy compared to the visual style. The basic gameplay plan was intuitive but the goal of the game wasn't very clear! Like should you come back to the same tower or find others? Is the goal to explore or just get scrap? There was also no counter for total scrap collected so it didn't feel like anything was happening. And how to unlock the other weapons? If you show them you will need to hint at how to get them. Overall very well executed mechanically and good polish but a clearer presentation of gameplay goals would have helped a lot!

Endless Depth by Dywanix 2025-04-08T16:42:05Z

Cute game! Really good on the procedural generation. Art was minimal but worked just fine. In terms of controls, since it's directions only I'd have like to play with arrow keys instead. Projectile hitboxes felt very unforgiving and made for some frustrating deaths. Overall well made on a game that feels rather complete!

Meanepth by rensun 2025-04-08T16:57:30Z

Amazing locations! Such a good atmosphere. How to progress wasn't obvious and had to come back to the comments to learn about the shaking objects. On my first playthrough I did actually E some of the objects but the range was too unforgiving and doesn't work unless you're right up to them. Anyway glad I figured out because some of the laters locations were so good! Reminded me of SOMA. Excellent work on the art and assets, and the low-res visuals. Thank you for the experience!

Home is where hell is by Anderson Job Loeffler 2025-04-08T08:06:40Z

Cute game with cool aesthetics! A tiny bit short but it worked fine with the more puzzle feel of figuring out the way. Music also quite nice, and the concept/setting is great! A pretty nice take on the theme. For controls I'd like to have a separate hand for jump (like arrow keys + space), which was somewhat possible by using W to jump. Just a little unintuitive. Overall great visuals and quite immersive, and great music and atmosphere!

Descend by Placeholders 2025-04-07T12:19:52Z

Oh my god what a good game!! The art and presentation is amazing! Really cool graphics and animations, and an excellent mood. I was hooked. Definitely could have played way longer. Very nice use of music. Way impressive for compo, well done.

A Well to Wonderland by Mathieu Chougui 2025-04-10T09:56:46Z

Hey really cool game idea! Took a while to figure out the controls. You'd expect the character to move with arrow keys. Once figured out it's quite fun. The hitboxes on the obstacles were MASSIVE though. You'd get hit without the sprites even overlapping. You usually want the hit/hurtboxes to be actually smaller than the sprite for good feel. Otherwise collisions feel very annoying. Also never default to sound being at max level :) Good that you had a setting but it was only reachable from main menu and not in-game, so just make sure that the default is sensible! Art and music was nice and a good aesthetic. But a few gameplay implementation issues and unclear onboarding.

Awakening by Celian 2025-04-08T07:47:09Z

Very pretty! The minimal aesthetic worked really well. Gameplay was intuitive at the start but I think the level design could be better. The level openend up to a pretty big complexity very quickly and it wasn't so clear where to go or what the next immediate goal should be. One annoying thing was how you could fall off to a lower level on the thinner ledges, but this often caught me by surprise as it wasn't so obvious which one was half width. Overall great atmosphere and visuals! With clearer gameplan goals it could feel a lot more immersive.

Below Birdsong by levi kingma 2025-04-08T17:13:38Z

Interesting setting, and art was nice. But gameplay was super basic and there wasn't much to do. Level design was very flat and there were no interesting features to jump around. Particularly annoying was if you travelled one way and the door spawned the opposite way, forcing you to backtrack. Enemies were really hard to see as well. Could definitely use some more interesting gameplay!

Doctrines - LD57 Game by Riggen 2025-04-08T07:56:54Z

Really cool visuals and art! Monsters looked really cool. Gameplay was okay but cards were very limited and repetitive. It was also really hard controls-wise to pick cards 2 and 4 and that was a little frustrating. Also not sure what was going on with the ??? card? It didn't do anything and just stayed on the field. Music was great and very fitting for the atmosphere. Nitpick, plot wise it made little sense: why am I summoning things just to kill them? :) With a few more fun cards and no mouse selection jank this could have been way more immersive! Overall great vibes and aesthetic.

CONFESSION by pavlov36 2025-04-11T19:25:41Z

Hey really interesting game! I'm impressed at how good the visuals are. Some really cool transitions in there as well. Interesting story but the ending black screen is a little underwhelming. I was almost expecting the game to start again as a time loop. Anyway, anything would have been better than black screen :D Text was moving too slow, that's always frustrating. Never a good idea to put a cap on reading speed! I realized at some point I could hold click but a second click tap would have been better, because with the hold it's possible to skip multiple lines at a time. Anyway, cool experience overall, but maybe the story needed a bit more fleshing out!

DungeonDescent by thisyc 2025-04-11T19:16:02Z

Extremely addicting game :D I came across a few really broken combos, and that is FUN. Obviously it's really hard to balance all these effects well in a short jam, and I'm glad you erred on the side of "possibly overpowered" rather than being too stingy. Seeing big numbers and breaking everything is way more fun :) Took some time to figure out it wasn't match-3 but rather draw a line between the tiles. But then it was smooth sailing. Overall visual presentation is a bit messy, but works just fine. On a few occasions I unlocked so many things at once that dialogs overlapped weird and wasn't sure which one to click first. Anyway, super fun, thanks for the experience!

Nightmare Digger by OnnGD 2025-04-07T20:08:14Z

What a banger of a game! Took a while to figure out what was happening with the mushrooms :D Other than that very intuitive gameplay and the pacing is great. Not sure what all the things in the status bar where except for health or if the mattered at all. Fun regardless.

Game Graveyard by AntagonistBob 2025-04-07T21:20:37Z

Cute little game. Music and sounds are pretty nice! Art is okay but environments are very plain and repetitive. Gameplay is very difficult at first until you get a couple powerups, and then it just becomes a bit boring and there's too much distance between the pickups, and you're mostly going towards them in a straight line. Some enemy spawns were very annoying. Another easy improvement for game feel is to just make the hurtbox on the character smaller than the sprite. As it is now it's so easy to bump into things you didn't even think you were touching! Overall, could use with some polish and smarter enemies!

deep trouble. by frutal 2025-04-07T21:31:56Z

Simple gameplay but quite engaging, and the levels are well designed. Engine sounds is a bit loud and gets annoying after a while. Overall nice atmosphere and cute art!

Depths of Color by threegoldeneggs 2025-04-07T21:40:07Z

What a cool idea!! I enjoyed this so much! The cat was extremely cute :) I enjoyed trying to find cat as quickly as possible and really got into it! Also very nice that you let the paintings stay to have a longer look at them. A shame that the bgm music track was not looping, because I got stuck staring at the last painting for a good 3 minutes before finding cat :') Overall really simple gameplay idea but so much fun! Thank you for this experience.

LD59 — Signal

Pharos by Chaseplays 2026-04-21T09:51:25Z

Absolutely gorgeous game! I loved the art and visuals so much. Atmosphere was great, and gameplay was fun and intuitive. The level of polish was outstanding! Really felt like a complete game. If there's one criticism it's that managing multiple boats at the same time was somewhat clumsy, and using a single boat was often the most reliable (but more tedious) approach. Anyway overall brilliant game! Thanks!

Signal Steve by Isaac Hisey 2026-04-21T08:47:35Z

Cool game! I thought the gameplay idea of matching the waves was very fun and engaging! One thing I found confusing at first was having to walk all the way to the exit door for the signal to change, and then walk back to the terminals. Just felt a bit tedious. Other than that great game!

Stranded on Lingas by 4farandbeyond 2026-04-21T08:40:08Z

Hey, this looks great! Love the atmosphere and art. Things were at times small to read. But also I could not figure out how to find frequencies on the radio! I'm sure I tried all the buttons. Maybe more interactive feedback or instruction would have been nice. I really wanted to play this more! Already got really into the story. Great narative.

Space Record Studio by kayrum 2026-04-22T07:03:07Z

Super good presentation and visuals! The art and assets are amazing, and the scene is really nicely put together. It's definitely missing some music though for being a records shop! Gameplay was pretty confusing to be honest. It was never obvious what I was supposed to click on and in what order. Things would highlight once you hover over them but it's not obvious which things are interactable! Anyway once that's figured out, it flows quite well. Good game!

Signal Scrubber by Steven Garberg 2026-04-21T09:39:01Z

Brilliant game! A shame it's so short. I had a similar idea for tuning into signals for my game but you implemented it so well! Very intuitive gameplay. Great art and atmosphere! I was pretty spooked when I saw the second image clear up

My Men! by CrispyPear 2026-04-22T07:57:59Z

Loved the idea  Visuals and presentation were great. Audio was super fun too. Overall it was hilarious! Gameplay was a bit unpolished though. Men were too suicidal and wouldn't follow well enough, so the follow mechanic seemed very unreliable, meaning I found that the best strategy is to just ignore boss attacks and spam boogers as fast as you can. I think that can certainly be improved and it would make for a super fun game!

Cadence of Glob by Orjan 2026-04-21T20:26:10Z

I think this might be one of the best ld games I have EVER played. Amazing art and visuals, extremely cool textbox effects, and brilliant writing and humour. The gameplay overall flows super well, and the songs used were ace. The story is so effective for such a short game, I was truly moved. Thank you for the experience :) Miss glob.

Signal Quest by Slowline 2026-04-23T09:17:00Z

Web build is pretty broken! It crashes my whole browser on startup with firefox  Starts fine on chrome, but doesn't get into fullscreen correctly, so everything is too small to read. But from the little I've seen the visuals look amazing!

Coo-Coo, Chef! by poboy 2026-04-21T08:30:30Z

Look this game is hilarious and beautiful. I love the presentation so much. But for the life of me I could NOT figure out how to play  The ending scene was brilliant too.

First Contact 3000 by 23edsa 2026-04-23T09:11:44Z

Pretty cute game! Very simple but as usual these games can be rather addicting. Overall idea and execution was neat, and gameplay flows well. Main complaint would be the UI looks unpolished (for a game where ui is used a lot!). The actual in-game art looks good, so with some ui polish it would look and feel pretty great overall!

Star Traveller by nyxkn 2026-04-21T16:12:19Z

@helagos my friend, that's the best compliment i could ever receive :heart:

Star Traveller by nyxkn 2026-04-22T06:21:56Z

@henk The audio crackling issues are a known Godot problem for web builds unfortunately :( It wasn't happening on my end so I was hoping it would be fine, so thanks for pointing that out!

Star Traveller by nyxkn 2026-04-22T19:07:03Z

@chaseplays Thank you friend! The log of the dialogue sounds like a totally valid idea. I'll make sure to add that in the future for these sort of games!

RESCUE by Andrey Angaev 2026-04-23T09:27:07Z

Wow amazing visuals! All the assets are great and the overall atmosphere is brilliant. I thought maybe we could have had a music more fitting of the atmosphere. Controls are fine but some of the platforming was needlessly hard I thought! Anyway definitely in a league of its own for visuals and content. Good work! And props for linux build

STATIC by Solis 2026-04-21T21:35:46Z

I call in at the right time but they never put me through. UGHH I NEED TO KNOW, HELP?

Game looks and feels great, atmosphere is incredible. All the little sounds and visuals are just perfectly unsettling. So far the gameplay has been cool but very unintuitive, and can't seem to be able to figure out how to continue

Squeaking For Love by Crak 2026-04-22T07:34:26Z

HMMMM, I have no idea what it is that I just played, but I enjoyed it

Humour is spot on, easily the funnest game I've played so far. But the visuals are just gorgeous! And the movement through the forest somehow feels so alive. Overall very immersive experience! Pufferfish best call. Peace.

MONITORS by hotdog 2026-04-21T21:03:18Z

Really well made game! The atmosphere was excellent, particularly the sound effects were perfect and horrifying. All the visuals are so cool. The waiting for the countdown at the end felt a bit long and could have maybe been shorter. But overall super well done!

WEB DIVER by mshrmgirl 2026-04-22T07:46:56Z

Loved the unique and unhinged visuals! It's all pretty trippy and I love it. The text messages were great. The controls were pretty clumsy but I actually liked that and it fit very well. Main criticism would be it was a bit hard to navigate and too easy to get lost, and objective wasn't super clear. Cool game though!

Catching the Signal by MeeRebane 2026-04-21T10:00:51Z

Wow such a fun game!! I love how unhinged this all was  Finished in 4min something. Controls felt great, and was challenging but not TOO frustrating, within the spirit of wacky physics games. But mainly it was just very fun! I had a smile the whole time. Great experience, thanks!

Jester’s Vesper by stisdan 2026-04-21T20:37:26Z

Game is so good! Really fun to play. But the visuals are just stunning. Such good drawings. Music was so well fitting as well. Gameplay was intuitive and flowed really well. Thanks for the experience!

B.O.B.O by miles2099 2026-04-22T08:52:40Z

Wow such a cute game!! So incredibly adorable! Gameplay is also pretty fun! Very simple and intuitive but very engaging. But I think the art certainly carries this game! The illustrations are just so well made and adorable  Cute story too. One nitpick was that the game started off in Chinese and I initially thought that was the only language, so instead maybe you could have forced the language choice at the start, just to make sure everyone knows there are two options!

SAVE OUR SOULS by steinhks 2026-04-22T07:21:32Z

Really cool presentation and visuals! Atmosphere was great, and really felt immersive. It was cool to learn something about morse code  Gameplay wise, I guess the whole morse code premise makes for a pretty slow gameplay, which I guess is not for everyone. Also I thought at the beginning there was a bit too much idle dialogues that felts a bit tedious to reply to. And overall the received texts were coming out very slowly which again added to the game's slowness more than necessary. Anyway very well executed game!

ECHOMAZE by pipetto 2026-04-21T08:54:44Z

Hey loved this game! Visuals are great, and I really liked the gameplay of navigating relying on the minimap! I managed to finish it just like that without any need for the laser beam, which used up a scary amount of energy anyway. At first I didn't understand the battery was the lifebar so that could have been made more clear at the start. Drawings were also super cool! Maybe overall the game wasn't very fitting of the theme though.

Link the Shrink by TOSHIY 2026-04-21T09:06:46Z

Wow what a beautiful game! I loved the art and presentation, and it all flowed so smoothly. Some of the text was a bit too small to read comfortably even at fullscreen. Gameplay was super fun too and intuitive. I'm glad you had a gameover condition otherwise I'd still be playing

Signal Through the Blizzard by anku 2026-04-22T08:41:36Z

Cute game. Presentation and atmosphere is very nice, although a bit unpolished. The gameplay was a bit bland and too simple, but the story added enough interest to continue. And of course resting by the fire is always an excellent feature :D who doesn't love a campfire? Dialogues sometimes faded a bit too fast, and maybe font was also a bit too small. Overall this game lives on the atmosphere, so with a bit more polish there I think it could be very cool!

Connection Lost by CoTiJeLucie 2026-04-21T09:34:37Z

Wow what a great game!! I'm glad there were limited levels or I'd still be playing  It was a bit confusing at first, and I was playing with the debug ui on. Feels like it's really important to understand that each hop has loss of one turn of TTL and you can only chain so many things. Otherwise the signal would just stop going and it wasn't clear what the reason was. Anyway absolutely great game! Thanks!

RedFlag:SOS by ReiMi 2026-04-22T06:52:22Z

Fantastic entry! The art is so well made!! Seriously a great mood, and you can truly feel the tension. Something I found a bit annoying was that some chips that looked like they would fit exactly the picture, they didn't and you had to find just the right one. That took away from the immersion because only a videogame would care about the exact pixel shape of a chip  Also wished there was maybe a better ending cutscene or something. Anyway absolutely great game!

Signals of God by Geeni 2026-04-21T20:54:55Z

Absolutely loved how unhinged this was. Superb atmosphere, and visuals are really cool. The walking part felt just a tiny bit tedious, but I think it was rather fitting pacing overall. Having to go around for trashbot was maybe the only one confusing bit. Overall great work!!

RADAR LINE_ by saloid 2026-04-22T07:11:37Z

Super cool presentation and visuals! Really well made. Only complaint is that fonts were a bit small, and having to read a page of complicated instructions before playing is a bit tedious and I'd have rather seen a small interactive tutorial!

lost in head by ROWLING 2026-04-21T09:16:29Z

I loved the visuals! Such a cool and immersive experience. I really wanted to play more, but the model rotation was way too hard and the popups got stuck open on top too. That was a bit too frustrating! Otherwise such a great atmosphere!

Read My Signal by Shivvvy 2026-04-21T08:09:46Z

Very pretty game and execution! Art is beautiful and game flows well. If there's one criticism is that the player is overwhelmed with having to read the books information all together. A system where you gradually teach the player new signals with each new customer might be much more pleasant to play.

Drum`n`Ice by PepeBrante 2026-04-23T08:59:05Z

I feel like the overall idea is great! Art and atmosphere is great, and gameplay feels like it should be fun, but I feel like the rhythm aspect is rather off! Like it doesn't line up with the beat of the music, and gets really confusing. It's also not clear when you're allowed to start inputs, and whether it's your turn or the enemy's. It just felt a bit too challenging as it is now, but I think the premise is excellent and it just needs a bit of refinement of the gameplay.

Small Among Storms by ShanzPro 2026-04-21T08:17:39Z

Very pretty game! Love the atmosphere and the art. The gameplay is a bit bland though. Also I could never figure out how to avoid the bird and the only way seemed to be to keep running forward to the next checkpoint. I guess with how pretty the game already is, I would have liked to see more narrative and less challenging gameplay!
