I really like the whole graphical presentation of this!! It looks really cute!
Needs no saying, but amazing art! The game is very well-polished as well
It looks like a finished game! I like this!
Tho, i don't understand how the powder works. If it's random, i got so unlucky to never spawn it
Cool looking game, and good concept for the theme. Once I learned how it worked, it ended up being pretty easy, I just gave up eventually because the game didn't get any harder with time.
Thank you for your feedback all! Glad you liked it ! @federico-giorgi You actually have a mortar next to the cauldron, if you put any item in it, it will turn into powder of the same color ! But it's not really clear in the game indeed, I may put it in the Jam description ! :D
I'm really bad at this. And RNG really hated me or something. However, I loved the art and music a lot!
Great sketchy art style, and music too, really endearing and well done. The game itself seems very hard, but I still tried it over and over. Always felt like I was just a little short on time (but that's the theme, so *shrug*) Overall very polished game, great work!
The art and audio are fantastic! I tried four rounds but still can only succeed three to four times. Also, the retry button seems like it has some problem; I can't use the retry button to restart.
Looks and sounds fantastic but I have to admit I have no idea what is going on.
Love the art , Nice music , tip make it less hard for programmers and artists we are not all gamers :)
Love the art and sound design, and the store + concept are great.
I'm not sure if this was a bug but red items never spawned on reroll, most of the potions I needed red dust or red beer I would spend ~8s re rolling ingredients and never see them. If you made it so you can't lose based on bad spawn it would be a 10/10 from me!
I played on the webgl version not sure if that was why i never got red ingredients after the initial drop
Excellent art!
There's a bug where entering options and leaving fullscreens the game the first time on a fresh reload. Besides that, great job.
Really cute art style, very polished look and feel, and I see that someone has a... *ahem* appreciation of the exquisite sublimity of transformation here.
The game loop itself is pretty easy to understand and quite fun while it lasted. According to the game though I apparently still "suck" at 50000 points, so I assume there's some kind of win condition that I overlooked, but I'm really out of ideas to try at this point so I decided to call it quits. Otherwise, a generally very well-made game, and I liked it a lot! Great work!
There is always a potion brewing game! Every LD! Not a bad thing and this ones great but the theme this LD make the games really stressful to play :timer:
Glad most of you liked the art direction of our game ! Lot of love from all the art Team With such positive comments we can only promise we'll make our next game less difficult on the onboarding thanks to your feedbacks !
@wendy222 Actually, it's not a retry button but a reset potion one ! It's just like throwing away the current content of your cauldron if you misplaced something inside. And the other one is just to restock your ingredients.
@chitoyuu That's a neat score ! Actually, there is no win conditions, the game was made in aim to share the score your did with friends, or in comments, etc... At last, the "You suck :(" on the Game Over screen is actually an addition from one of the dev outside of the gameplay, and it's not dynamic at all ! So don't worry you did great with 50 000 pts !
Nice one! Fantastic art! I'd suggest to put the receipes near from the ingredient so that it's bit easier to play. Congrats!
SOoooo fast >< I'm bad at this game but it looks great GOOD JOB
What an interesting take on the theme! The witch girl caught my interest, I'm not gonna lie. She's so adorable! All the graphics look wonderful together. This artstyle totally fits the theme you're going for as well. I felt like a witch myself, brewing potions in my little lab. The drawing that was made in the credits scene is sweet. What a nice touch to add the creators in a witchy outfit to fit your game, so cute!
I love the game's mechanic. It's not just dragging items, but I also have to adjust the existing items by crushing them! And also that there are tiers of the different potions. I like that I have a variety of choices that I can make when brewing. These features really adds to the gameplay. I wish there was a tutorial level because I didn't get it straight away, on my second try I got the hang of it though \( ̄︶ ̄*)
I could see myself spending a lot of time playing this game, it was a real treat! Good job to everyone in the team, you all worked very hard and it shows! (★‿★)
Really fantastic game! Very polished, and the art direction is very nice! Very tense from the start though, so I'd recommend a little balancing at the beginning so the potions are easier and ramp up from there. Getting into the flow of the game loop was excellent, and finding some of the side effects (like the Game Developer's Potion) was pretty funny. I think a Skip button on the starting instructions would be a good thing as well, as it was a little annoying having to click through them when starting the game every time (it's a good game, so I played quite a few rounds haha).
Was there always only one potion that you could make from a given set of ingredients? At times I couldn't seem to find the final ingredient for the potion I was trying to make no matter how many times I did a restock!
Also there may be a bug after restarting the game a few times... I lost three times and on the final time it never finished reloading (I forgot to check the console before I refreshed the page though!).
Overall though excellent game!!
very cute concept and visuals! art is so stunning...
Really cute graphics and really nice game flow. Also fits well with the theme.
Really nice buds gg ♥
I really love the art, very cute. The game is simple but quite challenging.
Though, It's difficult to find the ingredients that are on the recipe book. Maybe an indicator if certain ingredients is currently there could help. And maybe add a new ingredient after I use one so the ingredients slot is always filled up, because I use the restock button a lot :D
I want to know the artist of this game!!! The art style is fabulous and the game is so well polished!
I got confused about the shop restock mechanic - it never seemed to give me the ingredient I was looking for.
Really digging the visuals of the game, and great soundtrack to bring it together. Simple and clear mechanic which could go wonderfully or horribly, depending on your luck.
I'd prefer if the text at the start would stay in place while appearing instead of jumping around the lines.
Well done!
I love the graphic style and especially this pumkin looks gorgeous ! The game was pretty tense but fun !
Amazing and great looking game. Nice work!
Very cute, but also very hard! I guess there was a lot of micromanagement to do in just 10 seconds, at least for me. The art and music fit together and were well implemented, thanks for this game!
I have a weakness for cute looking games with a pastel color scheme and that's what initially caught my attention, but what came next was really a pleasant surprise! This game not only has a solid aesthetic, but it's also extremely well polished, both in the animations and in the menu/gui presentation. However, aside from technicalities, what I liked the most is how brilliantly you managed to justify the jam theme gameplay-wise.
The choice to apply random mutations to the main character every 10 seconds creates an original contrast between the relaxed, cozy welcome in the main menu and the frantic gameplay, where high levels of concentration and a fair amount of multitasking are an absolute must to avoid a cat-astrophe (sorry not sorry, bad pun intended). And even though the learning curve is a bit high at the very beginning, once you grasp the gameplay mechanics the experience becomes quite fun with the right amount of challenge.
"But wait, how do you justify such an abrupt change of pace, it will surely feel forced, right?" Oh, so wrong! and that's because of the tutorial. Seriously, what a SMART move. Voice acted (in gibberish, which is a bonus point!), funny, entertaining and concise in presenting all the necessary information - the perfect glue. What I'm really trying to say is, I can feel your entire team worked in perfect harmony and with the same goal in mind, and it's really incredible what you managed to accomplish in so little time.
Now, as a composer, when it comes to music I always have very high expectations, and I can confidently say the soundtrack of this game is another big plus. Focusing on solo instruments rather than ensembles felt consistent with the intimate character of the game on one hand, while on the other gave more time to allow for a well written and properly developed accompaniment to what's happening on screen.
Thank you for sharing your game, and good luck!
Just love how the character changes as you make wrong or right potions! Very cute artstyle and nice atmosphere! (:
Game designer liquor turned me into scariest monster :D I really like art style and audio.
Great artwork and fun game. My only complaint is that sometimes I would spend all 10 seconds restocking and never finding the right ingredients in time. Would have been nice if it was pseudo-RNG and guaranteed that you'd find the right ingredient within a couple restocks at most.
Oh my god this is the cutest game ever. Took a while to figure out how to choose the right potion, but when I did, it was quite easy and it's almost impossible to lose. I was so distracted with the ingredients and when I actually looked back at the character I realized what sort of monstrosity I had become :D The visual presentation is just lovely and the character dancing is just so adorable. Great use of voice effects as well. Really a super charming game and gameplay is quite addicting. Great amount of polish too. Very well done!
Anime girls brewing potions?! Sign me up! Really cute art, I noticed it on some posts that popped up in my feed during the jam and I saved this game to play later, as the art was kawaii and unique-looking. The gameplay was interesting and a little addictin, haha. It also felt REALLY polished, which is quite rare for jam games. Awesome job, keep up the great work!
The art pulled me in! It looks so good - great job!!! Everything looks really clean, and the menu looks great too. I noticed on the web version that the retry button didn't work for me, and I typically spent most of the 10 seconds restocking. But overall very cohesive game!
Solid game, good choice on the genre ;). I didn't get to an end screen but play for a while because the game play kept me on my toes.

Thank you guys so much for taking the time to write so many wonderful comments ! Your feedback helps us to get better, and your kind words are really heartwarming <3 We aknowledge that our game is very difficult on the onboarding, we first wanted to make a difficulty curve: having an easy beginning and then getting harder and harder, but we ran out of time and unfortunatly had to scrap the idea... Anyways, we are really glad you played our game ! Thank you again for your support !
Really cute game, fun to play ! I only understood by chance how to make powder
Witch look so cute,i like this game
Art, music, gameplay - all absolutely excellent! In a game like that even tiny things stand out, so forgive me for being nitpicky.
Revealing the intro text letter by letter felt a bit slow, almost frustrating. Just speeding it up a bit, or revealing it line by line would probably flow better.
It's pretty easy to accidentally touch the mortar and pestle while trying to drag the leftmost ingredients directly to the cauldron, which was a bit frustrating.
(And I can't help but think that maybe "Sketchy Witchy" would sound better than "Witchy Sketchy"?)
Love the music, probably the best background loop I've heard so far this jam! The art style is fantastic, really cute and characterful. Gameplay is fast paced and fun and with four lives the time limit never feels unfair or frustrating. Very cute witch!
Overall, I loved it. Very impressive, great job!
The game is really cool on every aspect but little bit too hard :)
Very nice game, i keep playing until i test most of the transformation. Maybe the random system that refill the ingredients is broken, most of the time one color don't come and i ve click a dozen times to get a red power without nothing. Anyway i love the mood of the game and the art is so cool.
Capture.PNG Very nice, got the transformation too.
Pros: - The visuals are really beautiful - I really like the idea :)
Some feedback: - Sometimes it was simply impossible to do any of the recipes during the ten seconds, because one color was necessary for everything, and even when spamming reroll, I couldn't get one :( - When clinking on retry after a loss, sometimes the game wouldn't load and stay stuck at 0% - I would have loved a bit more clarity on the stuff I already put in the cauldron, like having them on one row like in the recipe
That said, it was fun!
I really love how magical, original and cute this game is. Very well done and the art style is lovely.
Neat game :) The graphics and sounds are awesome! I found it pretty hard to brew anything. By the time I made out a recipe that could be made with available ingredients, I had only seconds left to put them into the cauldron. Some progressive difficulty would have been nice, but I do not have an idea how to make it easier without compromising central mechanics... The whole concept is nice anyway and you did a good job on the project :) Nice!
