LD47 — Stuck in a loop

Luminous Edge by Yword 2020-10-25T09:39:24Z

Very nice game, I enjoyed it! Visually the game is beautiful, with all the effects and all. Soundtracks were well picked, although the boss music could've been heavier for me. I liked the afterimage mechanic. The afterimages felt slightly too weak, dying very fast. I didn't find much use for them outside clearing the level obstacles. I tried using them in the boss fight, but they didn't last long... :D

Overall polished game, good job!

All the same by Erkberg 2020-10-05T12:43:28Z

Very chill, heart-warming game. I tried to activate objects by scratching them :D

Hasteus by exilegl 2020-10-22T18:16:50Z

Very good audio. The music might be slightly too relaxing for a chasing game, but on the other hand it's great. I guess it's only a matter of preference. The gameplay is interesting, yet it lacks stakes (losing the game).

Good job with the game!

Soulbound by benjamin 2020-10-06T20:11:24Z

Great riddles (even though I didn't get far) and good use of looping mechanic. Overall great! The three lives without regaining them in any way was brutal.

a nice place by netmute 2020-10-07T17:26:02Z

a nice game

I liked the mood and little story you told us. Nice touch on describing environment.

Minecart Mayhem by masterkrepta 2020-10-05T13:22:05Z

Help, I'm stuck at crossroad! No, wait. There's the buttons. Coo' I like the idea of the game and music is pretty funky, I could dance to that.

One of those... bats hit me and I teleported elsewhere. And little after that I got stuck at crossroad, for real. I clicked navigation and nothing happened.

Etracyte by bentglasstube 2020-10-05T11:10:17Z

Can we get an executable?

Satelloop by diptoman 2020-10-07T17:09:36Z

Well polished, good game. You nailed the music for this. Kinda reminds me of good old Flash games.

Enjoyed it!

Hyperbolic Space Fighters Extreme! by gingerBill 2020-10-09T13:35:51Z

Very nice idea! I haven't played a game like this before. Gameplay was smooth and graphics beautiful. Bonus points for using your own language!

Purgatory is a Music Store by MattWoelk 2020-10-07T15:55:53Z

Nice musical experience and story. I feel there could've been clearer indication on *where* you interact with the instruments, instead of randomly wandering around them.

Despairship by Shess 2020-10-27T16:23:27Z

Cool game! It's very hectic. I didn't have enough time to read text boxes, watch the top bar AND manage all the things in the ship. But I did finish the game and it was very enjoyable regardless. I also liked the music and visuals as well. Great job, very solid entry!

Loopin' - A C64 action puzzle game by Endurion 2020-10-05T07:59:41Z

Agh, my antivirus blocks running the emulator batch... Looks neat though. I haven't tried a C64 game before.

Tower of Time by Ygor.arts 2020-10-05T10:24:27Z

Another game called "Tower of Time"? Cool! Just missing the game... :/ Hopefully we get it sooner or later.

Operation Rewind by lilkrit 2020-10-22T13:54:19Z

Chill tunes, I like it. Graphics were also nice. As mentioned before, the controls could've been more robust for better platforming. Maybe slowing the movement would've done the trick.

I'm not sure what I was supposed to do with rewinding. I did get the text stuck, though.

Good job!

GunTron by neowhoru 2020-10-05T11:57:58Z

Enjoyable shooter! The collecting sound remind me of Zelda games. It was challenging enough. I think the game reset at one point, but I'm not sure why?

Also noticed one blob chasing me through a wall (from top to bottom).

Good game.

OROBOROS by ArBe 2020-10-05T10:21:56Z

I like it. Overall very good. The graphics and audio both match and I think atmosphere is on point. The last level was challenging in a good way. Too bad there wasn't more levels.

Temple of Heh by p0l4r 2020-10-09T14:09:39Z

Good platformer! The different paths are a good touch in design. Mood is set right with the ambience and starting voices. The upgrade system is nice, though there could be a notification of them (I **just** noticed it in the description and got it, even though I went through them couple of times wondering..). I had fun hopping around anyway.

Some sort of indication of the door timer would be a nice addition.

Save Her by Lestat 2020-10-05T09:32:21Z

Nice game. I liked the visuals and the story.

I felt the time limit is very narrow. As if the only way to win is by speedrunning it. The automatic panning of camera gave me headache, moving where I didn't want it to on its own.

The Curse of Cattenburg by Honest Dan 2020-10-10T10:59:41Z

Amazing. I really loved everything: the graphics, the music, gameplay... Just wow.

I was bit upset that Mobius' special ability one-shot my mage, but I didn't realize crit was applicable to specials as well. Made him even more dangerous, for sure. Speaking of, perhaps the crit should be more clearly indicated. I feel it could go unnoticed unless you're fully focused.

Defuse in under 5 by Darylsteak 2020-10-07T05:20:18Z

This is a good, intense game. Solid in every aspect. I won games by guessing at first, but the intended way is more satisfying.

Stucker by Animaster 2020-10-12T16:19:19Z

I love the robot management. Graphics are cute and the sounds match them. I think there could've been lower resource requirements for jam version, so that more people would complete it. Though I see you aimed for 30-minute gameplay. Overall good job, it would be cool to see more of this.

in Dreams you can't find clocks by OmarMoBadr 2020-10-18T15:19:15Z

Nice story, I liked the camera movement at the end the most. I second the dialogue opinions already given.

I got stuck at the very beginning when I jumped on the bed and tried to go to sleep, but nothing happened.

Once More, Dear Friends by GibsS 2020-10-05T13:47:00Z

I like it. Very cool twist!

I've come to bargain by Fernando Tonon de Rossi 2020-10-05T10:10:26Z

Fernando! I've come to ~~bargain~~ tell you our games come from the same place. I also got my inspiration from the movie. Cool, huh.

Sadly there's no executable or anything...

Time Loop by _Kassjak_ 2020-10-10T08:44:43Z

Good game! Theme is on point here. Gameplay is fun and feels polished. Mood is upbeat with the music and increasing intensity. Graphics look great, I dig the monochrome palette.

As has been mentioned, I was also uncertain at times whether I was taking damage or not from jumping on bats from different angles.

Anyone else see a face here?

Paper Hell by Lexyvil 2020-10-05T13:30:32Z

I kept smiling while playing. Great soundtrack!

Time Wizards by Sininenblue 2020-10-06T20:24:23Z

Sweet platformer, I like how you rewind the steps if you die. Very intense towards the end. Graphics and visuals go well together. Good job!

Ebontale by JUSTCAMH 2020-10-08T13:58:31Z

Well that was interesting. The dragon fight is rough without the spear.

Lily The Bee by Vivien Fargette 2020-10-10T15:23:26Z

The game is good, and Lily is ready. I liked the storytelling visuals and the very fitting music. Is bullet sfx actually part of the soundtrack, it fits so well? I didn't use nectar till I got stuck in a level (I forgot it was an option). As others have mentioned, the bullets are quite small and unnoticeable. I didn't mind bullets shooting from the back at all.

Dragon Loop by JustusPan 2020-10-05T07:42:00Z

Very solid game! The UI is clean, dragons have graphical variety and the system feels robust. I especially liked the talking sound. I think music and some sounds would add a lot to the game.

No towns ruined. My tactic was to pump up offense - and it worked! I think the poor dragons need a buff. I barely took any damage.

looper by Matt Swieboda 2020-10-05T09:36:48Z

Awww, no Windows or browser version. I wanted go brrrrrr.

Grinding Gears by Pincushion 2020-10-10T09:34:23Z

Nice puzzle game! I really liked how the camera changes in every room, together with the music it reminds me of some old PSX game. As others have said, the camera change does disorient the controls a bit. The mini-map is mandatory to solve the puzzles, I would probably lose my patience without it. I'm amazed at how some people like yourself come up with solid puzzles in so little time.

I'm not sure if it would improve anything, but it would be cool if you could open the mini-map bigger on the screen, just like a real map, giving more focus on solving the puzzle and your next move. That way you wouldn't have to squint over the mini-map constantly.

The Lost Frog by Lombax 2020-10-05T11:42:38Z

I like the idea a lot where the map turns like in this game. The frog has character and the one sound fits a jumping frog very well. The level itself looks good too and I saw those arrows... You had interesting ideas coming up.

Some major downsides for me: - The controls were bit off. I'm not sure how I got past the first pillar once, but there was no second time. Also the running around was bit too slippery for my taste. - Probably the biggest thing: there is too much waiting. The death fading screen takes a long, long time. And when you have to wait after every jump. Oof.

Orbeatz by PastelGames 2020-10-10T09:59:29Z

Nice rythm game! I only played the easiest one and tried the hardest, but it indeed was bit too hard for me. The beats were great and hitting those notes(arrows) feels satisfying. I had some trouble timing my presses because of the circular movement, but I really don't mind it as getting the gist of it is part of these games. I felt the progress bar of the song could be slightly more noticeable.

I wonder how it would've affected the gameplay if the pressing zones were horizontal instead of vertical.

Loop City by Fupi 2020-10-09T16:58:31Z

Funny game! This fits the theme perfectly. Gameplay is funny for the most part. Only thing that bothered me was missing bought items and messing with shopping controls. Might be because of the fact that it was constant falling and I wanted to *stop for a second* to buy things. The music was a killer!

Grand Magus by daitli 2020-10-05T09:50:46Z

There's something about those voice lines. Added into the mix, they create this flavor of humor to me. The tunes are chill and work well with the game.

Stealing spells was confusing first, not knowing where or what to click (Starting screen guides you to use left mouse, although I figured it might be a inaccurate). Eventually got it to work and it was satisfying. Time warp remains a mystery to me, it has only gotten me killed, haha...

Looping Days by ThomasEsc 2020-10-08T16:13:08Z

I second what others have said. The graphics and transitions between rooms are great. The idea fits the theme very well. But the game wasn't engaging unfortunately. Perhaps some resource management and giving player more freedom would have been in order. Hmm, maybe even some animations for each task would've made a difference. It's a shame there is no audio, I was waiting for footsteps echo in the rooms.

In any case, I see lots of potential and would love to see this developed further.

Last Lap by RoofloorWall 2020-10-10T08:23:23Z

Nice game! I liked the different weapons the most. Sounds and art also match well. Personally, I would've liked it if the camera was bit zoomed in so I could see objects better. I also thought the car was going backwards, haha. Somebody else also said this, but different sounds for player getting hit and hitting zombies would've been good.

I feel there could've been more control over the car. Maybe it would be momentum-based, as mentioned before, or adding brakes.

Stranger by Julius Vander Arend 2020-10-05T08:42:12Z

Interesting game. The atmosphere is set just right with the music and visuals. Portal mechanic is fun, shame you can't go both ways. Text was bit hard to read at the starting room, adding some sort of background or outline would've helped a lot.

Eloi's Adventure by Convg 2020-10-11T11:56:58Z

Very interesting mechanic with the shadow! Shadow explosion radius and platforming caused some trouble, but otherwise very good!

Eloi's Adventure by Convg 2020-10-11T14:38:21Z

@convg Whoops... :D

IT Guy by Thooom 2020-10-05T08:23:05Z

Cool little game. Damn bugs got me killed time and time again.. Not sure if it's just me, but the aim might be a bit off compared to cursor position?

Games are So Much Fun by Rainbows are Fun 2020-10-17T14:35:05Z

Interesting and innovative game. Nice!

Pogo Knight by TheWinrawr 2020-10-05T11:22:17Z

I love the music! The mechanics are interesting and graphics great. The tutorial is mostly clear. The buffs/debuffs remained unknown to me. I almost broke 1 minute!

Maybe you could swing the sword more often for intense bullet deflecting?

One of my favorites for sure.

MUGEN by GOD COLO 2020-10-08T14:26:33Z

Nice game. The music is catchy and fits the rest of the game well. Bright colors work very well here. The game gets hard pretty quickly, I wasn't able to finish it. Since the colors are high contrast and fast, I was having trouble recognizing brown and white ones. I feel it was straining my eyes quite a lot as well.

As mentioned before me, some sort of indication of color swap (player or enemy) would be neat. I had some really unlucky situations where either one changed all of a sudden. I like that there is the five second frequency, but I personally won't be able to keep track of that when focusing intently on everything happening on the screen.

Found a bug: the cursor is lost visually if you go to menu after starting to play. Encountered this one when alt-tabbing and tested without it.

Skelehunt by Catomag 2020-10-11T12:04:12Z

Missing OpenAL32.dll. Graphics do look nice though.

Fufu, Destroyer Of Worlds by Talal 2020-10-05T10:38:10Z

Well the theme sure is present in this one. Funny game, enjoyed it. I was slightly confused by unlabeled meters as well, and it took me time to notice where the one for planets was. Bullet-hell didn't bother me much, but the sheild could've been recharging or last longer.

Good job anyway!

Loopy Glitch by fpoli 2020-10-07T15:20:20Z

Love the mood that music and art style create together. Theme was used well. I think there could've been more levels using movable blocks and bombs.

Tower of Time by CodeRaurus 2020-10-05T06:33:36Z

Patched up the freezing when dying as mentioned in the pervious comments.

Tower of Time by CodeRaurus 2020-10-05T14:18:57Z

@lombax Oh my god, I had the opt-outs wrong... Thanks for mentioning it! I want everything to be rated, haha. If it's not too much to ask, do rate them as well.

If you're talking about the "mega jump" it indeed is a bug. Unless..

Tower of Time by CodeRaurus 2020-10-05T14:50:54Z

@p0l4r Yep, additional jump is not intented and I want to fix it.

Tower of Time by CodeRaurus 2020-10-05T14:59:31Z

@pastelgames Oh no... Just to be sure, we're not talking about a bug?

Tower of Time by CodeRaurus 2020-10-05T15:52:51Z

@pastelgames Ah, yeah that can happen sometimes. Maybe it happens only when you "mega jump"? Adding to my todo-list. Thanks for letting me know.

Tower of Time by CodeRaurus 2020-10-08T09:06:27Z

@netmute Thank you! There is definitely a certain flow you can get into. You can do it, victory is almost in your hands!

@nidrig Cheers for the feedback! Yeah, there is clearly a divide between player preferences for inputs. I wonder if making that as an option would be worthy? As for the control guide, I thought I would save everyone's time by dropping clear instructions right off the bat. I even tried to consider colorblindness in some form. I'm glad you like it.

Tower of Time by CodeRaurus 2020-10-08T09:13:24Z

I want to thank everybody for playing and giving feedback so far, I appreciate it a lot.

Tower of Time by CodeRaurus 2020-10-09T15:34:11Z

@kassjak Thanks for your input. I think I've fixed most of the issues on my end, but can't decide whether I want to patch up the entry or wait after the jam is done. I'm glad you enjoyed it!

@fupi Thanks for playing and feedback! Yeah, I guess the theme is barely there, isn't it? It mostly revolves around the story of time manipulation and in the game you do loop through the same floors of the tower, over and over again. I felt not having an ending just wasn't the way to go.

Tower of Time by CodeRaurus 2020-10-09T17:05:06Z

@fupi Yeah, I totally understand. I will step up my "theme game" next jam.

Tower of Time by CodeRaurus 2020-10-10T07:55:18Z

@clemetayer I'm glad you like both the art style and sound design. Thanks for playing and feedback!

@roofloorwall Thanks for the feedback. I also realized I didn't give the theme enough thought. I'll work on that next jam. Good to hear you liked it anyway. Could you elaborate on how the run felt unresponsive?

@god-colo Yess, pixels! I'm glad you enjoyed it. The game is meant to be slightly challenging.

Tower of Time by CodeRaurus 2020-10-10T14:21:04Z

@vivien-fargette Thanks for playing! Yeah, the jumping bug is annoying and I'm working on a fix. As for the delay, there is definitely room for tweaking the physics for better experience. And congrats on beating the game!

Tower of Time by CodeRaurus 2020-10-10T18:31:02Z

@roofloorwall Ah yes, it is intended indeed. The tower gets harder the more you progress.

Tower of Time by CodeRaurus 2020-10-11T17:15:38Z

@cogcomp Congrats! Glad you enjoyed it.

@neowedge Thanks for playing! It seems I got the music right :D

Tower of Time by CodeRaurus 2020-10-12T20:12:18Z

@tuatarian Thanks for playing, glad you liked it. Yeah, I agree. The game would benefit a lot from random gen. However, this time I decided to go without it and focus more on controlled level design. I had planned adding obstacles incrementally to mix things up, but in the end I had to scrap it for jam version. Maybe I'll play with the idea later.

Tower of Time by CodeRaurus 2020-10-17T09:32:35Z

@rainbows-are-fun Thank you!

Tower of Time by CodeRaurus 2020-10-18T08:20:56Z

@omar-14 Thanks for your encouraging feedback. I'm happy you liked it.

Tower of Time by CodeRaurus 2020-10-21T14:25:54Z

@glaikunt Good job defeating the Time Lord and thanks for the feedback! I'm glad you enjoyed the game.

Tower of Time by CodeRaurus 2020-10-22T18:03:14Z

@exilegl Thanks for playing and feedback! Congrats for you win. You're not alone thinking the eyes would hurt you. Hmm, something for me to think about in the future.

Tower of Time by CodeRaurus 2020-10-25T08:47:45Z

@yword Thanks for playing. I'm glad you liked the music :)

Terraform Express by Josh Roby 2020-10-05T11:02:24Z

Interesting resource management game. It took me a while to understand how the things work, but after the click it started to be enjoyable. Not sure if everyone has the patience to figure things out.

Some issues with UI: the text was too small in the windowed mode, so getting instructions was even harder. And if turned to full screen, UI components would go out of view.

Loop Dream by ZoeAgxn 2020-10-08T16:45:10Z

This was fun! Interesting mechanic and good tunes to go with. I do agree with others that it might be bit too challenging. I managed to win a game once I realized how I can get time to plan. I'm not sure if planning is enough though, the pieces seem pretty random.

Trials of the Twisted Timber Land by Enad96 2020-10-11T12:33:47Z

Good game with interesting puzzles. Good work with the progressive music and art style which remind me of SNES era RPGs.

Some knockback would've been nice when hitting enemies, and the long horizontal hallway made me bit nauseous.

W.Y.F by Glaikunt 2020-10-21T16:53:41Z

I like your take on the theme. Mechanics are simple and that's fine. Although I did misunderstand how to play: I tried to type the correct answer :D I like how you made the water.

Unfortunately I didn't hear any sounds or music on browser. Good job!

Nirvana by dranjohn 2020-10-07T16:52:30Z

Nice idea! Audio was on point. The only thing I feel it's missing is characters responding to answers.

Got the grandma ending.

Stuck in a Hoop! by Spodthewizard 2020-10-10T09:00:45Z

Funny little game! Cute graphics with fitting music. Gameplay is simple and it works well here.

Reincarnation by Omeletton 2020-10-12T16:39:13Z

Congrats for you first jam game! I really like the music, gets you in the mood well. The controls were pretty rough, especially jumping while moving caused me headache. Otherwise platforming was nice. The second ghost part is hard. I think improving controls and maybe adding checkpoints could do the trick and improve the game quite a bit.

Airstralian by ThunderSalt 2020-10-07T16:36:50Z

Good game!

As stated by others, I felt the game was bit hard and unforgiving as I understood the gems were required to complete a level. But I could've been slightly too impatient as well. As boomerang I wanted to go fast! Shame redirecting movement breaks the momentum quite a bit.

I kind of like how the boomerang orbits around the wind. It gives personality.

Definitely mobile material and the menu gave that vibe as well. Great work with audio and graphics.

A not so boring game by clemetayer 2020-10-05T12:59:20Z

Have I Been Here Before? by BradyG 2020-10-05T07:50:48Z

Interesting mechanic and good design! Solid game.

LD49 — Unstable

Stacks by ping78 2021-10-10T08:20:51Z

Enjoyable stacking game. Points for the UI overall. I had trouble dragging some of the items, maybe because they were too high? Not sure. Good work!

Cargo Breaker by ounai 2021-10-05T16:29:20Z

Funny game! Hard to say how choppy the camera was before and how much it would've affected my experience. Nice graphics and the tunes really fit and are catchy. Good job, guys!

Doc. Noggin by Mr_Field 2021-10-18T15:18:12Z

I love the music and art. Good job!

Elemental Slime by rayriver 2021-10-09T10:16:21Z

Good puzzle game. I like the retro graphics, only thing missing is some music and sound effects to complete the set. I found the puzzles clever, good job!

The Unstable Zone by Zarkonnen 2021-10-04T10:55:02Z

Interesting story. I wish there was an option to adjust your music as it got disturbingly loud. My run took 10 minutes and with some UI and UX improvements I could see myself doing another run to solve the mystery.

Thanks for the game, good job!

The Unstable Zone by Zarkonnen 2021-10-04T15:37:43Z

@zarkonnen Umm, well another thing would be your party information being more apparent. Could be just me, but I kinda missed/ignored them at first. Maybe isolate them visually? I would also drop the bullet points from your choices since you already distinguish them with color, and to me that seems enough.

Trailer Trials by thomz12 2021-10-08T06:32:43Z

It was fun. Leaderboard is a nice addition. Reversing seemed impossible for me, it would be cool if you could turn your tires without moving. The current sounds hit too loud for me. Otherwise, the game is sounds pretty empty. Adding engine sounds or simple background music would give the game more life.

Great work, good take on the theme!

Burning Ravager by sinclairstrange 2021-10-09T09:53:24Z

I love it. Thanks for making it!

Fission Horse in The Escape From the Condemned Stables by nanolotl 2021-10-09T11:37:08Z

Very solid entry! I like the graphics and the gameplay feels smooth, once you get the hang of it.

St. Eugene the Resolute by bwalter 2021-10-06T18:01:40Z

Good game! Top notch voice acting. I wish the camera would be slightly zoomed out or even zoom out when flying fast.

The Adventurers by Ascension 2021-10-10T08:10:01Z

Nice, kind of relaxing game. I guess the encounters could be less RNG, because few of my runs died purely because of it. Other than that, great work. Would be cool to see more places and different encounters.

Experiment #56 by ildfuglen 2021-10-05T07:24:39Z

1st try: I couldn't start the game by pressing space (A) in the menu, even though instructions tell you so. Maybe I didn't understand something, but I wasn't able to get moving from start. At all. I noticed the wheel turning red, but nothing happened when the wheel was full. I expected it to launch me off. I tried grappling as well, but that didn't work.

2nd try: Okay, I tried using controllers and now I got to actually play the game, awesome! The game has nice mechanics and I really enjoyed the momentum. I don't really see the theme, though. Maybe it's just me. I would highly recommend double checking the keyboard controls.

free fall by ruthiepee 2021-10-20T16:39:07Z

Such a nice, relaxing game. The song was fitting, though I wish it looped. I like the watercolor vibe I get from the art. Animated ground was kinda distracting and music was initially little too loud for me. Unique entry, good work!

The Curse of the Un-stable by dikkop 2021-10-07T06:43:06Z

Interesting take. I like the mechanics and the horse graphics (especially the player character). UI was a bit hard to read. Good entry, I liked it.

Instability by R3L0ad1 2021-10-05T05:48:34Z

Cool game! I like the visuals and the music. The issues I have with it have mostly been addressed already (rope collision, restart). Regardless, game feels smooth.

You could consider adding improving menu navigation by pressing WASD/arrows and enter for confirmation, so using mouse would be optional. There could even be a separate restart button to cut corners.

Rumble by BrothersT 2021-10-06T17:29:08Z

Very funny game. Gameplay is simple and straight, visually appealing and has a banger music. Only thing that bothered me was the text moving all over the place, that was pretty hard on the eyes. Great work, one of the favorites!

HotHead by johnnysix 2021-10-05T07:08:06Z

Good stuff! Very interesting mechanics and great graphics. Not sure whether I played the judgable version (Web/JS) buut at least in that one there was no indication of what to do with the TNT. After I watched the video I understood its purpose, but you shouldn't expect that from a player. I thought it was just an obstacle... Hopefully there will be music and/or sounds in the future. And more levels!

Pivot Gun by ragtagradical 2021-10-06T09:11:33Z

Really unique and interesting concept. Art and music go well together. I think you should be able to jump from the gun, it would make the movement more fluid. Nice entry either way, and very fast production!

Cawtastrophe by crefossus 2021-10-21T18:56:44Z

Really loved the audio, especially the stage clear melody. I think you caught the atmosphere on point overall and it the game enjoyable. Others have pointed out a lot of good feedback and I concur. Maybe having an actual incentive to keep the eggs in the nest and having more levels could have added a lot.

Good job! Also... did I catch a hatchling bouncing on the ground?

Jenry Javelina by PBG 2021-10-20T16:49:50Z

Nice game! I really enjoyed the gameplay. The camera movement was bit slow for me, but that's just a preference. Good job!

Gecko's Chronicles: The Miserable Men by RAFFE 2021-10-21T17:57:22Z

This felt very unique. I liked the narrative, although I think you could've told us more of the story with each card. Props to graphics as well. Maybe there was a bit too much blur for my weak eyes. And the music - it fit the narrative. Great work overall!

Ruff Tuff Skies by fiaKaiera 2021-10-10T08:27:06Z

Nice entry, although I'd like to get my hands on the jam version. I like the concept overall. I feel the stop should stay until you buy something. I didn't have enough time to consider all my options.

Snmuloc by tayl1r 2021-10-08T06:44:51Z

I like the reverse mechanic. Maybe I didn't play it enough, but I wonder what is the function of the cross at top and how diamonds behave?

Fellowship Manager by Honest Dan 2021-10-07T07:44:45Z

Overall a good, big jam game. I think it's pretty polished even if there were issues still remaining. Not sure how football manager does it, but I would've loved to see the unit faces in the battle.

Great job!

Bomb Mania by Stefan Jovanovic 2021-10-04T12:47:49Z

Dang, graphics are nice and I love the music, it's so good..! How do you make your music? Gameplay feels solid. I don't think it's intentional to get worse if you collect more than one star, is it? Happened in the fourth level.

Reacto by magus77 2021-10-07T06:55:01Z

Nice game, reminds me of Among Us. The player movement animation is smooth as butter. There's a nice ambience around the game. I would've loved a map or a mini-map to navigate around.

Moth Boi by manmantas 2021-10-06T08:49:00Z

Nice game! I like the aesthetics here. The animations of the little moth, music, all that. What bugged me was the camera movement and placement and the lack of skills as little moth. I'd expect to be able to glide at least in that form.

Do I hear Epona's theme from Zelda in your music?

GONZO ALCHEMY! by kristinamay 2021-10-20T17:03:55Z

Nice game! I like the catchy music and the pixel art. UI and controls were pretty confusing. I feel you could replace a lot of the keys with a simple mouse click. It would also be cool if you started with few more ingredients or the first customers would ask for potions you can make. Quite a lot of content for a compo game, great job!

Trauma by AdamCYounis 2021-10-04T09:58:39Z

Such a good game.. I really liked the story with fitting aesthetics, I was eager to learn more. The mechanic is very unique and it would be interesting to see more levels with more complexity. I kind of miss the first melody in the game. Is it supposed to play only once? It's so quiet for the rest of the game...

Also, after completion and dropping down again from the title screen, the menu selection was centered with text "New text" (or similar).

Among Monolyths by Dekajoo 2021-10-05T06:58:23Z

Fun game! I haven't played The Witness before thus I could have been having more trouble connecting the rules. Either way, I suppose the difficulty ramp could be lower to hammer the rules in your head better. I also felt backtracking to older puzzles was a tedious journey. Where are my running shoes? Visually the game is good, I like the glitching effects. And the music is pleasant to the ear. Great work!

Quantum Qitty by Mr.developer 2021-10-09T11:19:38Z

Nice platformer, though it was very challenging. Perhaps too challenging, at the start at least. I felt there was some sort of control issue when I tried jumping and then dash upwards, but instead it dashed me right. Almost felt like the game defaulted the dash there..

No complaints to graphics and audio, I think they fit very well together.

Great job!

Grabanakki by Saturnyoshi 2021-10-06T17:45:06Z

Holy moly, this is a full game! Good stuff, reminds me of old NES/SNES games.

Arrhythmus by justolinas 2021-10-05T17:03:09Z

Nice spooky game. Like others, I was bit confused when sometimes I couldn't fix the lights and died. I like what you did with the audio syncing with heart beat. I also tested whether I would die from avoiding lights, but that never happened.

The Wizardless Tower by Bithellio 2021-10-09T10:04:13Z

Very cool game, interesting concept. It got hectic pretty fast. I seemed to have a problem saving falling blocks. I feel there could be bit downtime for building and the onslaught.

Tables & Tremors by SlimmerBurger 2021-10-05T07:57:02Z

Great game! Nice take on the theme. This graphics are good, such a smooth hand animation. Controls started to get too fast for me (camera turning) and I couldn't land my shots properly.

Bob's Underworld by chesschaser 2021-10-05T06:21:35Z

Good game, solid entry. The graphics are cute and music catchy. I feel the platforms at the start should be lower so you can use single jump to get going. The platform edges probably shouldn't have collision. Unless it is intentional.

Potion Commotion by Frozendoze 2021-10-06T12:12:21Z

Amazing game! Very interesting and varying mechanics and level designs. And a very catchy music. Only **infuriating** issue was cursor unfocusing from the game and clicking other windows.

One of the best entries I've played this jam.

Oopsie Potion by CodeRaurus 2021-10-04T11:16:38Z

@slimmerburger Thanks for playing. I agree, the game could use more content :P

@erikengineengineer Thanks for playing. I used Godot (engine), Aseprite (art) FL Studio 20 (music), Bfxr and audacity (sound and tuning). It was an experience alright as I'm unfamiliar with Godot. I've been using Unity so far.

Oopsie Potion by CodeRaurus 2021-10-04T15:22:40Z

@dekajoo Thanks for playing. Yes, graphics were done during the jam!

Oopsie Potion by CodeRaurus 2021-10-04T19:10:58Z

@slimmerburger @erikengineengineer @dekajoo @mogaiskii Sorry if you have voted already but can you vote for graphics, audio and mood as well? For some reason they were left out... Thanks!

@justolinas Thanks for playing. Yep, more levels could be fun. I'm starting to see a pattern in my own work.

@meredori Thanks for playing! It's an honor to be placed in a top 3 list.

Oopsie Potion by CodeRaurus 2021-10-05T09:17:16Z

@chesschaser Thanks for playing. Difficulty ramps up over time, but I guess the game is already over by then  Conscious decision anyway.

@adamcyounis Thanks for playing and feedback! Yeah, the game is heavily RNG-based. I was going to place important items statically, but ended up randomizing them as well.

@caudatecoder Great, thanks!

Oopsie Potion by CodeRaurus 2021-10-08T21:46:41Z

@ping78 Thanks for playing. Initially I wanted to combine interact and jump buttons, but it was causing issues at the exit and separating them was the fastest solution. Then again, why did I choose enter over F, I don't know.

Oopsie Potion by CodeRaurus 2021-10-09T08:03:36Z

@0x746564 Thanks for playing. Yeah, I was aware of these issues. Due the time constraint it does a hard reset for the game. Something to think about for post-jam update.

Oopsie Potion by CodeRaurus 2021-10-21T19:00:54Z

@crefossus Thanks for playing and the feedback! I appreciate you crediting smaller details I did. The items are randomized so the difficulty is pretty inconsistent.

Maybe the shadow could show up earlier, but the implementation would be quite different from current one and would mean more work. Adding more content would be cool as well, so maybe in the future..?

I'm not aware how bad the jumping actually is in New World, but I'm glad I have it better :D

Save the Reactor by Tvorojok 2021-10-09T11:11:39Z

That was intense! I loved it, such a cohesive game. Good job!

Cultist aboard ! by Guilloteam 2021-10-06T11:43:46Z

Such a good game. It would be cool if your actions would have lasting effects and/or clearer consequences. For example, I felt the last choice didn't really matter.

This is falling to be unstable by WitekWitek 2021-10-09T09:22:54Z

Simple and fun! It was hard to read the instruction during the game.

Danub: Potion Packer by Vaulkhar Alexis 2021-10-06T12:26:23Z

I like the aesthetics of the game. I agree with the screen being a bit too saturated. I got overwhelmed by the love potions letters to a point it was too much. I think some sort of tutorial or progression would be helpful. Great work overall, I like all the details you put into this!

Arranging The Deckchairs by Jibberwocky 2021-10-05T07:40:47Z

Nice game! Fits the theme very well. I wish you could turn around when holding a chair.

Llamas on Log by Joshua Jebadurai 2021-10-07T07:50:15Z

Nice art and music! I experienced some weird physics stuff, suddenly log just flips or drowns and that's it. I also managed to bug the game by placing food in the middle. The log sunk but the game didn't end. Good job, I wish you could control the llamas a bit more.

Jump Goat by 0x746564 2021-10-09T11:27:44Z

Nice platformer. Is the score determined by the height you travel? I got negative scores when I fell all the way down.

I feel there is some sort of health mechanic, because when I fell three times from a platform, it was game over. If so, there probably should be an indicator it or instructions so the player is aware. Another thing that bugged me was getting locked when falling of platforms. It would be cool, if there was little leeway to save yourself.

There is no audio, but a simple jump sound could've increased the experience significantly.

Good job!

Space Truck by Mogaiskii 2021-10-04T10:36:43Z

This one definitely feels like a co-op game. Very nice graphics, I especially like the guide you put up. I was having trouble seeing the UI properly. Also, I feel some sound effects would go a long way. Good job!

Potion Master Incremental by Meredori 2021-10-05T17:13:33Z

Nice game. Could use some feedback whether the brewing was successful or not. And perhaps adding simple sounds or music could make it feel better and responsive.

Acidium by OpenfunGames 2021-10-09T10:47:25Z

Good game, the story absorbed me. The phasing with two different gameplay mechanics is a nice touch, although the connection between the story and the action is unclear.

I played the jam version and the score screen looked like this: b45ac96560ef2c5c587a9177a06a7bf2.png Looking at your screenshot there's something wrong  I played the jam version. Looking at the results I get the impression the spikes are actually good. Not sure if that is the case, though.

Aesthetics are great. I love the graphics, but for me the pixelated assets just don't work with the rest. Music is fitting to the atmosphere. And looking at the comments, your choices do affect the battles in some way. That's good.

Good work, I enjoyed it!

MEMALOIRS by Lovor 2021-10-20T16:30:59Z

Interesting idea, once I realized what was going on. Well polished entry, good job!

Super Stable Charger Robot by caudatecoder 2021-10-09T09:37:57Z

Interesting idea. Unfortunately, I felt the game lacked clear instructions thus making the experience frustrating at times. For the electric fields, it would be cool if there was a visual cue in addition to the sound. Without the sound it just feels RNG in a bad way.

Other than that, the game looks nice and has good tunes. It fits the theme. Only the menu music was very loud for me.

Well done!

Dreampoint Collapse by JoeRenglish 2021-10-04T10:19:41Z

A banger music and interesting mechanics, I like it! The game is pretty unforgiving and fast paced. I prefer if the blocks stayed little longer and you could take a breather in-between. Also there was one exact camera transition which made placing blocks way too hard, eventually making me quit. Good game none the less.

Enabling full screen option would be dope.

Trenchmouth by Mords 2021-10-06T09:48:51Z

Getting some Fallout vibes, nicee. Great entry, although perhaps overscoped for a jam. Atmosphere is on point and graphics are beautiful. I think the game lacks player feedback. Also, would be cool if your squad infromation would be shown when they are selected with LMB. Definitely feels like a bigger project and I'm looking forwards for future updates.

Crystal Town by Lucy Lu 2021-10-06T15:17:27Z

Nice exploration game you got here. For your first game you made the world quite big and finished the game as well. Good job! I especially like the swaying trees. Lowering the total shard requirement is a good idea. I got to 49 and started to worry where in the world the last one is... Lucky me, it was nearby. A mini map could also be a nice addition.

Disruption by WYL TEAM 2021-10-06T11:29:26Z

Good game. Atmosphere is on point with art and music. I also like how you tell the story. I think either the levels are too big or the character moves too slow. Combat is simple in a good way. One bug I found is sometimes your ball doesn't fire but instead disappears (2nd shot within a time frame). You might also want to consider giving the player more ammo in the first level. I went and used mine right away, making the fight impossible...

Great work, very solid entry!

Moonbase Melee by GustavB 2021-10-05T07:34:59Z

Interesting concept. It felt nice zooming around with energy and deflecting spikes. I also like the graphics, although your vision could be slightly bigger. It got repetitive quite fast, more and varied content would be a great addition. The UI was too small for my taste. Great job!

Unstable Piles by nulldreams 2021-10-07T07:10:37Z

Cute game! I felt the goals were not recognized. Also I'm unsure how I feel about the bombs, the game could've done without them as well and be a chill stacking game. Nice work!

Hello Darkness. My old Friend. by Aquachain 2021-10-04T11:06:14Z

Nice game, I like the simple "pencil drawn" style. The controls are a bit janky and there seems to be a some sort of a double jump, probably not intentional. One the later stages just gets too hard to beat as the tempo gets faster. I liked the music and completion melodies.

Good stuff!

Walking on thin ice by greenphox 2021-10-05T06:02:23Z

Lovely game. I like the chill tunes along with simple gameplay. Reminds me of NES games, in a good way. For improvements... In addition to what has been said already I would just polish it. Like adding sound and animation for moving and steam rising from the tiles. Oh, and option to adjust volume of music.

Re:Kotel by gdesecrate 2021-10-18T15:24:37Z

Nice game. Interesting yet simple gameplay. For me the sounds were too loud and color bit too flashy. Would be cool if there was an option to adjust them.

The Leaning Tower Of Pizza by erikengineengineer 2021-10-05T08:43:21Z

Nice little game! I'm bit unfamiliar with Unreal, but I wasn't able to launch the game from the root folder. I had to launch it from binaries. Also my GPU decided to start working real hard, even though game is supposedly simple. I wonder if there are any quick optimizations you could do for jams.

Emotion Vessels by Terri_GamingLunya 2021-10-06T15:44:32Z

Nice game with simple mechanics. I like the art style, although I feel the boxes and the cat didn't quite match with the rest.

Good job!

FlowerPower by C64Gamer 2022-04-09T07:41:27Z

Relaxing and chill game, just what you look for in a farming game imo.

Very solid game overall, good job!

Game Launch Delay Announcement Generator by miltage 2022-04-04T07:49:03Z

Really liked it! Clever take on the theme in my opinion.

The Last Church by sawtan 2022-04-05T06:41:38Z

Very enjoyable game, had a blast playing it! I think you match perfectly the visuals with audio for the atmosphere. I decided to see how much I learn from just playing the game (ignoring instructions on this page) and gate repair confused me, probably because I saw a glimpse that you can upgrade and hammer icon has been used for that in other games. Maybe adding a gate with it could telegraph better its purpose. You could consider including the turret upgrade cost to the actual upgrade button. Otherwise the button is pretty small and you might miss it in the heat of battle.

Great game, I think I'll play one more round... :D

My happy weedy farm by Marin0104 2022-04-07T06:17:31Z

Cute farming game. The otherwise relaxing atmosphere is stirred with intense weed picking and deliveries to fulfill. Maybe the pace could be slow at first to get a hold of the mechanics and slowly pick up the pace as the farm grows.

Duck It! by Squidly 2022-04-21T17:23:05Z

Great art and music! Loving the concept. I don't know what's wrong with my controls, but couldn't find any other actions than moving and jumping. And that didn't get me far. But it seems others got it working so great! I feel the intro could start the text automatically and fill just like in-game.

Wither by Marc Grabow 2022-04-17T07:15:29Z

Nice game, I like it! Couple things caught my attention. First, the difficulty ramps quite quick and you're overwhelmed by bugs during the first day. And secondly, I wish you wouldn't have to go through the watering process, if the plant is already dead. It's disappointing when you're in a critical situation and you try to save a plant - only to find out there's nothing you can do to save it and you wasted time. Then again, I guess that's kind of the point of the game, huh.

On the other hand I like the upgrades and the very simple controls.

Good job!

Gate Keeper by Lawrence 2022-04-06T06:50:24Z

Nice, polished game. Great graphics and quite challenging gameplay. My only gripe is clicking and selecting things outside the game window when aiming, causing frustration. But I'm pretty sure that's on me.

Clone Frenzy by eLeDe 2022-04-17T08:06:55Z

Nice game! I feel the music fits the erratic tone of the game. I assumed the clones would mimic my movement and/or spawn on my spawn point and do that. As already has been said, the movement of copies is kind of unpredictable. I also found the top left being the safest spot on the map.

Good job with the entry!

Slime Survivor by rhewid 2022-04-05T08:02:30Z

The game looks fun, but I'm having issues running it on my PC (anti-virus blocks). Can you make a web build?

mote by KianaMosser 2022-04-17T08:19:29Z

Beautiful game! Loved the harmony of graphics and music, great job on both aspects. I felt the game had a decreasing difficulty, since existing wasn't a problem after the first level. I loved how you played around with the audio space. I think there should've been a fade on the music when you stop moving in the last level, the clear cut doesn't fit the rest of the game.

Great stuff, quite enjoyable!

The Death Delayer by JakobTheQuizGuy 2022-04-21T17:58:21Z

Neat game! The concept is great, unfortunate you couldn't implement the tasting part. I like how the wizard follows the projectiles, and the eye interaction altogether actually. If something, I wish you had more power in the shot when charged.

Good job!

ENTROPY by LarsDu 2022-04-05T08:17:10Z

Great game. Challenging but enjoyable. Appreciate the drumming :D

This reminds me of older PC games in a good way.

The Last Savior by JustusPan 2022-04-09T08:02:43Z

Very enjoyable hack and slash. Gameplay felt smooth and flowing. The different types of attacks and the enemy colorization indicating their weakness are a nice touch and give depth to the game. Good music choices as well, giving that epic battle feel. Sadly my monitor was not big enough for the game so I couldn't enjoy it in fully.

And love the intro!

Good job!

Estrella by Xiris 2022-04-09T07:27:13Z

Great game! Good visuals and feels very polished for a compo game. The difficulty seems to ramp quite fast, though. Couldn't quite keep up. Not seeing the spaces you had to type visually threw me off and escalated my doom.

Good job!

DLAY's Buffet by BinaryPrinciple 2022-04-17T07:00:00Z

I like the design of the take away cup deity. Graphics are quite nice overall, actually. Love the drums. I only checked the controls from description and assumed golden sheep doing extra damage, didn't realize they heal :D One thing to consider, in my opinion, is giving feedback when taking damage. Without it you can end up dead without knowing it.

Good job!

Hearts Ablaze by Jon Topielski 2022-04-21T16:46:34Z

Damn, such a fun game! Loving it in every aspect. I was having trouble getting the character to move and thought stationary gameplay was a feature... :D

FINAL BONES by everedx 2022-04-17T08:32:19Z

Good game! The visuals are great and I appreciate the puns. I feel the music keeps up with the mood as well. The gameplay didn't allow me to analyze the available skills so I used them half randomly. I think the cooldowns were too long, would be more fun to spam more spells!

I didn't quite understand what launches the intermission scene. First I thought it was game over, but then the game kept going. Others have also raised good points for improvements.

Lots of good stuff here, hope you do more with the game!

The Joys of Being Undead by CodeRaurus 2022-04-04T16:44:34Z

@squaxcom Thanks for playing! Unless something is bugged, you can lose. Then enemies go after you when crystals are out.

@lawrence Thanks for playing! Yeah, I wanted to (and probably will) make more levels but ran out of time.

The Joys of Being Undead by CodeRaurus 2022-04-04T18:37:03Z

@very-bad-bunny-studio Thanks for playing! I guess you'll have to stay tuned for more levels. Good catch that itch.io background btw, total oversight from me. Should be better now.

@circle Thanks for playing and the feedback! Yeah, I also feel character progression is the way to go. That could even affect corpses and towers, potentially. Yesterday I was thinking what kind of crowd controlling or mobility devices there could be, like two-way teleporters or something. I could try adding something for better player engagement, got few ideas while writing this. Scoring system is still incomplete, unfortunately.

@rhewid Thanks for playing! Yeah, even in its current state there is so much excess souls available. I have to brainstorm something.

The Joys of Being Undead by CodeRaurus 2022-04-05T05:44:48Z

@david-york Thanks for playing! Sadly I didn't have enough time to implement more levels. But I want to see them as well, so probably there will be more in the future.

@marc-grabow Thanks for playing! That's a nice idea, I'll think about it.

@smiley Thanks for playing!

@purpledartfrog Thanks for playing! I'm still thinking about the blocking, whether it should or shouldn't be a thing. But I was aware of it, yes. And it can cause some issues. If it stays, I want to implement repathing for the enemies.

@boaromayox Thanks for playing! Nice of you to acknowledge the aura. You have to be one dead undead to reach such power.

@elede Thanks for playing! The inevitable is delayed once more!

just drive. by Str0nkyK0ng 2022-04-05T07:30:12Z

Liked the atmosphere! Just chilling and driving. But I wish you could actually do more in it and the game would engage the player more. Moving the car feels really heavy and I ended up doing nothing at all. I have to commend the menu you did, it's impressive.

Good job!

Alien Annihilation by MeritCoding 2022-04-09T08:15:54Z

I feel the interaction doesn't quite work. I tried to buy a cow farm but it didn't appear to do anything. The game could give proper feedback on what's going on. A lot of the time I was unsure if the game was done or something was happening. Depending what you aimed for, I suppose some filling bar or even text would help the player to know what's going on. And sounds! Sound effects are very effective feedback to player as well, even with low effort.

I liked the turning left animation, wish that applied to both sides.

Well done!

Alien Annihilation by MeritCoding 2022-04-09T16:38:39Z

@meritcoding No, I don't think I saw any coins

Wizardfall by Quite Good 2022-04-21T15:07:48Z

Short and sweet! Loved the graphics and the different ways to deal with the conflict. Nothing wrong with the music either, but I think it could've been slightly more dramatic or upbeat.

Somnipathy by Cyzaine 2022-04-21T17:42:07Z

Very solid entry! I liked it overall, the graphics, the music and designs (especially the chasing one). You captured the creepy atmosphere for sure. I feel the interactable objects could have had a slightly bigger collider.

Good job!

Keep It Warm by Fifut 2022-04-05T08:25:53Z

Nice game! Well executed. Juggling between the tasks was fun. Quite moody as well.

Lovers Defence by metatheria 2022-04-21T15:50:47Z

Lovely game! I liked the graphics, the animations and the music. And it had a lovely little story to tell as well.

Gameplay wise I had some issues understanding the controls first. I usually try to see how well the game gives you instructions without relying on the rules and guides in the game page. Once I checked what did what, it was okay. Other thing was the lack of information about the units. I feel usually players would want to strategize their next move in tower defense games. It can also leave the player frustrated if - for example - they don't know where they can place their units and there is no indication of it either.

Very cool entry in any case! Oh, and I liked how you change the music over the levels. Nice touch.

Good job!

darkwalker by BoClow 2022-04-09T07:17:19Z

Very interesting concept. The sniffing got kinda repetitive after a while, especially when the thing was circling around you for a while and you couldn't do anything. Appreciate the audio design otherwise.

There were quite a lot of transmitters and around mid-way I was wondering whether the game had an ending or not :D Maybe there could be less of them due the slow pace. Or indicate somehow where you are in the progress every now and then?

I thought I beat the game at power supply but got the game over screen instead. Didn't hear anything near me.

Good job, very different approach than usual!

The Final Day by Very Bad Bunny Studio 2022-04-05T07:45:25Z

Nice game. I liked the looks of UI and enemies. I feel the pace could be faster, though. Takes a good while to get started. I feel this a jam specific thing. You want to get into the meat of the game fast. I didn't hear any music, but maybe I didn't get far enough?

EDIT: If you can enable full screening the game, it would be great. I was having some difficulties reading.

Good job with the piece!

Whoa! It's like a space game or something! by circle 2022-04-06T09:47:51Z

Nice, vast universe you have here! I enjoyed the graphics and the good tunes. I'm unsure how your ship upgrades, as it seems to just happen. And as far as game feedback goes, I think it would be nice to hear or see when any action is done. Like hearing the trade happen etc.

Appreciated the control customization and that you address them in the tutorial. The tutorial was ok for the first time, but the amount of text gets tedious when you come back and try the game again. The text was slightly too small for my taste and could use some background to help readability.

Overall it seems you got a lot going on here and that's impressive. Good job!

Timeless by shmador 2022-04-07T06:22:49Z

Can't run the game, I think GM games in general are blocked by anti-virus and can't get past it. Is it possible to build a web version?

Timeless by shmador 2022-04-07T07:12:30Z

@shmador Okay, I'll see if I can still do something about it

Timeless by shmador 2022-04-21T16:35:51Z

Very nice and solid entry! Love the tunes with the simplistic art style. Lots of varied levels which is nice. I got stuck at certain door-in-a-pit level, I just couldn't get the timing right.

Good job!

B-Game by squaxcom 2022-04-06T08:06:25Z

Cute game! I really enjoyed the graphics and the music fit the mood perfectly. I was having trouble understanding what was going and I feel it would be clearer if the game was zoomed out a bit. The levels felt very RNG heavy and sometimes you had no chance of winning because next flower batch was miles away.

It seems the game starts during the load and you can miss the action, only hearing the sfx. Something I would prefer to experience myself.

Good job!

Void Prison by Tadas Migauskas 2022-04-09T07:49:00Z

This game is great! Nice take on the theme. I love the visuals and the up-beat music.

It's very fun, enjoyed it!

Cold and Alone by David York 2022-04-04T17:54:14Z

I really love the graphics, 10 out of 10. Gameplay feels good until you get to the end game, as was mentioned before. The amount of batteries is maybe too much compared to what you can do with them.

I wish the game had some sort of ambience and perhaps a rover engine sound.

Good job!

Mama by Charred Axolotl 2022-04-21T17:11:27Z

Loved the concept and the atmosphere. The music set the mood straight away. I expected to game over as a little dragon if I hit the vines, but for better or worse it didn't happen. The vine collision wasn't what I expected, but I appreciate how you did them, making them twitch. Early game (first minutes) felt quite easy. I don't think it's a bad thing, though, since the mood is very calm anyway.

Bloodlust by MaDness 2022-04-05T10:43:00Z

Nice game. Nice touch with the day/night cycle. Graphics looked good. Gameplay wise I liked the weapon switching. Hiding was a good idea in theory, but I didn't see a reason to do it.

Good job overall!

Game User Experience Manager Simulator by jess from online 2022-04-17T07:30:32Z

I had some trouble keeping up with the text and then deciding what to do. Other than that the game feels interesting and has a unique concept. When booting up, I was waiting for a boot sounds, not the basic selection beep.

Great job!

Growing up by FancyPrice 2022-04-05T08:47:54Z

What a lovely game. Enjoyed the story, although I wanted a different ending haha. The text overflows outside the window here and there and I got stuck in the kitchen, pushing the chair wrong way.

Didn't install any fonts and I would recommend not requiring the player to do so, no other game does.

Good job!

A solid game. The core loop keeps you hooked.

Well done!

Catreams by firellon 2022-10-08T12:57:24Z

Lovely game. As has been said already, the goal and icons seem to be some what unclear if you cannot connect them to something in the screen. I would say it's generally a bad idea to rely on huge amount of text to explain the mechanics to players. Especially in a jam game. That manual should be implemented into the game, somehow. But yeah, it's not always possible for a reason or another.

Otherwise the presentation is good. Graphics have slightly too much dithering for my taste, but the music is very relaxing and fits perfectly to the game.

Well done!

Cursing Recursion by Flaterectomy 2022-10-05T18:04:45Z

Quite good entry. Nice take on the theme. I'd prefer if the phone didn't extend as the chat went on. Or is that just a side effect to the recursion?

Missdemanor by alaah 2022-10-05T16:33:17Z

Nice game. I like the atmosphere you set and the little details like walking the stairs. Nice to see another game stopping the timer when not acting. The lightning mechanic is cool. Unfortunately the precision of striking it felt off, even when enemies were highlighted and I believed having enough reaction time to hit the button.

EDIT: The starting rain blew off my ears. Appreciate the sound slider, even if it is not clearly for it.

Good work.

Game Name by Strega 2022-10-04T10:35:44Z

Pretty much sums up the jam. Getting okay sleep, answer to bugs is a hammer, forget to eat...

Amazing job, I think this will be my #1 for this jam.

Escape the.. something by ThaProfesional 2022-10-03T12:31:25Z

I think the switching platforms is a nice take on the theme. The graphics are bright and the parallax creates a pleasing depth to the game. I agree with others, that the level generation could slowly get harder and harder.

Good job.

Toad Cat's Cemetary Watch by 43sam 2022-10-16T11:26:25Z

Cool game. Graphics are clear and overall presentation is good. Some tunes would have been a great addition but not necessary. I think the sounds are bit panned to one side which was slightly disturbing. It would have been nice to choose your next update, or perhaps see what is next.

Great work.

Farming Fatigue by Halleester 2022-10-15T09:12:38Z

This was fun! Overall great quality from presentation to gameplay, you guys are a powerhouse. The functionality of hoe card confused me but I got it after the first playthrough. I assumed it gave the plants an upgrade with the ascending arrows.

Great work!

Be Fast! by codescapade 2022-10-03T13:24:12Z

Nice, simple yet challenging platformer. The presentation with audio and visuals was good, and I especially liked the wall jumping. There were couple things I noticed.

First, I could complete a level after I had died and slid to the goal/checkpoint. I'm unsure if it is intentional, but some of the levels felt like they expect or require it. The floaty gravity and friction made it hard to land some of the more precise jumps and parkour in later levels.

Well done!

ZeleniumΒ© by Enver Arco 2022-10-06T07:04:35Z

The waiting for inevitable doom after missing gets bit tedious, especially when you suck at aiming those orbs. Maybe giving the beacons little wider colliders or adding some sort of aim line could make it more bearable.

Some sort of sci-fi beat would have been cool.

Nice job regardless.

Run Rage by n.feofentov 2022-10-05T07:15:27Z

Nice Max Payne vibes. There's a clear difference between the two modes and the transition is well indicated. Not sure if it was just my pathing, but I ran out of guns pretty fast. Also, I think there are a lot of people around you straight away. Maybe the start could be slightly softer?

The restart after death would have been greatly appreciated.

Well done!

Portal shield charge by GettingRekt 2022-10-04T14:11:14Z

Pretty cool concept, I struggled with the controls quite a bit. Rotating with QE is not my thing in a game like this, I guess. :D Definitely reminds me of those older windows games.

Well done!

1000 Meters to Shade by PBG 2022-10-07T07:14:13Z

Cool runner. I always like the pico8-look and the audio reminds me of NES games in a good nostalgic way.

I'd personally prefer slightly less dithering on the ground level.

Good job!

RandoBots by Brusi 2022-10-05T17:50:43Z

Nice action-packed game.

I enjoyed switching roles from the hunter to the hunted. Graphicly the game looks good and has a nice soundtrack to jam to. I feel the idea could be explored further with all kinds of different things.

I only wish I turned as fast a turret as they do in the main menu.

KindergARTen by benskca 2022-10-04T12:52:26Z

@benskca Interesting. Thanks!

[X-ED OUT] by Nash 2022-10-08T10:42:22Z

Clean execution for simplistic gameplay. I like the implementation of the theme into this, naturally decreasing the upgrading time as your health goes down. Simple graphics work very well together and the varying tracks are quite bangers.

If anything, the movement between the levels felt little sluggish.

Great work!

Digital Bacon's Every 10 Seconds by digital bacon 2022-10-21T19:21:14Z

Game base and the concept are good. Unfortunate you didn't get to implement more of the features you wanted but hopefully there will be more polished version in the future. Maybe showing card costs and damage would have been within the scope of the jam, considering you technically have the variables in. That would have made a significant difference in gameplay experience.

Good job, keep it up.

Tenfold Rim Mining by PurpledArtFrog 2022-10-06T08:01:15Z

I like the concept of the game. Unfortunately I was bit lost of how get things done. I imagined the crackers would harvest asteroids but that didn't seem to be the case (entirely at least). I did get resources from somewhere and could build more defenses. It was unknown to me whether the base regenerates health or not, or if the lightning is basically a countdown ticking.

I think the RNG is pretty heavy on this one. I played twice, second time (after accidentally closing the game with esc) was a lot rougher. Enemy drones just kept coming and destroyed the base.

Overall I think the game could use some visual and/or audio feedback of what's happening. When crackers mine and when you receive more resources.

The hosted game crashed for me, by the way. You might want to check that.

EDIT: I do like the HUD, though. You have things clearly color coded.

Nice job!

The Lone Survivor by m110 2022-10-04T06:02:08Z

I like the presentation of the game. There's some graphical scaling which doesn't feel good for pixel art, personally. Music is jamming and fits the aesthetic well.

The movement is bit weird, getting stuck everywhere to a point it get's slightly annoying. I noticed there was a shooting mechanism implemented but it didn't get a lot of chances to shine during my playthrough. Finally, the rad wave indicator is a nice touch.

Good job, team.

Space Kitten by Renan Felipe 2022-10-04T19:06:57Z

Cool platformer, it got pretty intense towards the end. I worried I was going to fumble with the action buttons, but managed in the end.

Graphics are great and tunes fit very well with the rest of the aesthetic.

Good work!

Tensec World by Rolly 2022-10-03T12:49:48Z

Interesting game. This feels like a unique interpretation of the theme in a cool, tactical way. The music is on point for the game. I feel you should be able to click on objects to give orders for next generations. Although, that might reduce immersion and make it less personal. I agree that the one issue is waiting for the next generation when you want to make an order. I wish you could also cancel construction sites if you're not happy with the placement.

Good work!

Dr. Word's Machine by Kaish 2022-10-18T17:38:19Z

Very interesting game. I love the music and the sound design is great. I like the simplistic approach for the graphics, painting the surroundings with words and sound only.

Might be just me, but the huge difference in contrast started to hurt my eyes after a while. I feel the random timed teleportation doesn't serve the experience that well. I would've loved to at least take my time and think about solutions and move between rooms on my own pace, preferably without RNG.

Well done!

Tower of Kraduul by Zliebowitz 2022-10-15T08:34:56Z

Good game! I really enjoyed the music, and the animations are very smooth as well.

Gameplay is solid and has good variety in cards. I like you implemented the theme in a non-stressful manner, not rushing player action. I do wish you could see some feedback on character actions. Health, damage dealt or taken, something.

Solid entry, good job!

What's the rules? by Pusheeneiro 2022-10-05T16:14:28Z

Pretty cool collection of games. The little tune fits the rest well, too. Others have already pointed out some of things that I agree with like mouse input not registering (balloons + basketball) and that it would be nice to have a little buffer at each level to get time to inspect the challenge.

Good job!

The Other Side by Dafan 2022-10-03T13:05:18Z

I think the concept is good, but in execution it doesn't work as well. On the other hand, you want build as much as you can but that would make your job as the human (?) as much harder. And with the limited space and the ability to move your building (?) things get tricky and you will die fast.

Other than that, I like the traditional look and presentation and feedback is good overall. I kept trying to shoot with left mouse button (probably because the aim is done with mouse), so considering it as an alternative control could help some players.

Nice job!

Holospecter by theStoff 2022-10-04T08:09:42Z

One of my favorites for this jam for sure!

I think you nailed it overall, it felt really polished. Points to every corner of the team.

Few issues I noticed. The audio and text of the records isn't synced. You can basically listen to it all, and then you have to scroll the text as well. So maybe clipping the audio to match each line could be helpful. Another thing was the laser lines. They blend quite well to the environment and at the beginning I had hard time seeing and reacting to them.

EDIT: The game could use some sound effects, naturally.

Great work, team!

Anxiety by lesinvisible 2022-10-18T17:00:03Z

Nice game. The water color style gives the game quite an unique look and I like it. I believe I also reached the end, although some sort of indication of it would have been nice. I got stuck after fixing the boat but replayed after reading some of the comments, to see the end.

Good job!

I'm Just Hungry by ZwodahS 2022-10-16T11:33:55Z

Nice game. Your take on the theme feels slightly more unique than average. The graphics are good. A clear presentation of what is collectable and who is enemy. The health bars are a nice touch.

I feel the game could use some audio feedback and/or music. The emphasis is on sounds and giving feedback to player.

Good job!

The CyberZapper by Vhalenn 2022-10-05T17:40:52Z

Visually good looking game. I would've perhaps toned the bloom down a bit, but that's just my preference. The HUD looks cool. And actually, the audio supports the aesthetic as well and is worth noting.

I was also a bit lost on what was going on and what was the goal to next level. The boss room appeared to be undefeatable every time I encountered it.

Well done!

Witchy Sketchy Alchemy by Bruyère Alice 2022-10-04T12:42:47Z

Really digging the visuals of the game, and great soundtrack to bring it together. Simple and clear mechanic which could go wonderfully or horribly, depending on your luck.

I'd prefer if the text at the start would stay in place while appearing instead of jumping around the lines.

Well done!

Train Trader by FadrikAlexander 2022-10-08T10:04:06Z

Nice game! It felt bit overwhelming at start when you are thrown all of the things at once but once you get things rolling it's very enjoyable. Graphically the game looks good and each resource is distinguishable from one another. The train ambience gives a boost to the atmosphere.

I encountered this issue where you are transitioned to the map while pressing either pickup or order button and ended up back into the train instantly. The choice for next station is critical after all so I would implement some sort of mechanism to either ignore the up/down or have a buffer until they are registered.

As an extra, you could implement petting the dog.

Good job!

10 Frame Adventure by dyguests 2022-10-07T06:31:22Z

Very cool concept. It's clear as day you worked on the creator as it feels very polished. It has nice effects and the frame UI looks good. In levels I like the frame number in the background when actually playing levels.

After completing a level it would be helpful to get guidance to get out of the level, since ESC was not the first one I was trying. Either let the player know what to press or accept any key would be my suggestion.

Well done!

10 Seconds To Annoyance by zimny11 2022-10-05T17:24:16Z

Solid troll platformer. I felt the lack of coyote time in level 5 a bit too much. Regardless, the presentation and hint to mario/kaizo with the tune is a nice touch.

Good job!

10 Seconds Spell Book by Corporation 2022-10-06T10:28:26Z

Sweet game! I really like building the spell bar and do different combinations. It would've been great, if you could remove one spell in order to make room for another, at pickup.

Some of the sounds were a tad too loud for my taste.

Good job, props for using your own engine.

Every10SecondsToEliminateShape by LinWenHao 2022-10-03T10:56:49Z

Nice game. The gameplay kept me intrigued for a while. I would prefer if the spawn interval would be more consistent than random. Now you might not get enough time to make space for the next one, especially when the blocks can move so slow.

I also felt each block had an anchor point you had to place in the green zone, instead of choosing which part goes where. This caused some confusion for me and hindered the gameplay unnecessarily.

Some sounds and music would've been a cool addition, but the lack of them is understandable.

Good job!

Words Matter by Alex5041 2022-10-07T07:32:26Z

Kind of confusing game. Words Matter but why am I holding a gun then? Are the tokens words? I'm sure you had a great concept in your hands, but the execution feels to fall short, unfortunately. Some sort of in-game tutorial at the start could help a lot. I watched the video to see what the game actually looks like when you get into it.

Regardless, the presentation is pretty good. Visually it has a unique style and music gives this actiony vibe.

Well done!

CHASING HORIZON by pietmichal 2022-10-08T13:05:59Z

As has been said already, I feel the controls are weird and don't feel good. The concept does seem good, though. I don't know if it is intended, but the bullet hell can get overwhelming quiet fast.

I did like the intro zoom to the level, it was cool.

Well done.

Matchless Dungeon by Paroxysmal 2022-10-03T09:25:39Z

What really put me off was recognizing the main character art. Looks very similar to the one you see in a Udemy course - and basically everywhere. Thus, I question the rest as well. I feel this game doesn't belong to COMPO, where YOU produce everything yourself. Because if you don't - it's unfair to others who follow the rules. Please take a look at the rules for COMPO entry and derivative work.

But as JAM game this is quite fine. No problems if the game would be in that category.

Besides the conflict above, I think the game is nice. I like the delving and using the limited light to navigate through. The game could use some feedback, as others have also stated. Adding at least some sound - torch flickering or echoing steps for example - would enhance the immersion. I didn't get far, but I hope you get more matches along the way.

I appreciate the fact that you give instructions in the first room, but I could barely read it and then I run out of time and it all goes dark. Maybe consider keeping the light for the first room on.

The first time I was reaching for a controller, the game had ended and I wasn't able to try again. Every time I "play again" the game is already over, receiving the state from previous run.

I won't be rating this until the category changes. Let me know if you do that.

Well done.

J-Menuing by nyxkn 2022-10-06T11:08:03Z

A fresh take on the turn-based battles. I like the twist, although I would appreciate some kind of indication when the switches happen. The tunes are pleasing to the ear and give a classic RPG-vibe.

Good job!

Satellite commander by Henrik Ganard 2022-10-03T08:51:21Z

Quite funny game. The game looks visually nice and the audio amps up the atmosphere and mood. The controls felt off for me. I expected to thrust into towards a global direction instead of activating thruster on that side. That made me fly faaar into the outer space and in those moments I wish I had some sort of way to restart the game.

Well done!

πŸŒ‹ FlareScape by MikoziQ 2022-10-05T17:01:27Z

Cool rover game. The representation looks good and the theme is implemented well into game. Controlling the vehicle feels good, but I would prefer if the initial acceleration would be quicker. Now the flare comes pretty quickly and you don't get to enjoy the ride that much.

Same effect with the duration of the flare, kind of kills the momentum. I think it could be more fun if the flare doesn't insta kill you as fast as it does now, but instead gives a chance to have a close call and _almost_ turn you into ashes.

The HUD is clear and legible, appreciate the color coding. A restart would have been nice, though. Got myself stuck in few ways :D

Well done, nice entry.

Tower of Time 2 by CodeRaurus 2022-10-03T09:45:10Z

@linwenhao Thanks for playing! I wanted to give the player a chance for a breather and plan if they wanted.

@nion Thanks for playing. Can you elaborate on the issue? I was aware of spatial audio and tried to prevent it, and didn't experience it myself on browser.

@arachnid56 Thanks for playing! Yeah, the difficulty is quite high in this one, I admit. Watches give you a slight boost of a one second.

@deniz-aras Thanks for playing and the feedback. I actually implemented coyote time initially, but it stopped working somewhere along the development. Only one watch is a trap, and I can think of another which would be optional. I was thinking about having them in the game. Sadly time was against me and I couldn't make more levels, even when I wanted to. There is a good chance I will do some rework with collision and movement as there is a critical error in the game I really want to fix.

@fokaz Hey, thank you for playing. I feel people are getting stuck in some of those twists.

@poboy Thanks for playing and the feedback! The game sure needs some tuning. I assure the level is beatable. Perhaps you have to think of a different approach. The answer could be quite simple.

Tower of Time 2 by CodeRaurus 2022-10-04T08:41:51Z

@boclow Thanks for playing and the feedback. I completely understand the frustration from the wall hugging.

There will probably be some sort of post jam update, so consider following me on itch.io to receive notification when that happens. I'll probably post a short devlog about it, and the eventual results of ratings.

Tower of Time 2 by CodeRaurus 2022-10-04T20:31:24Z

@n-feofentov Thanks for playing. Yeah, even with the slight timer twist it's pretty generic in nature.

@jabsatz Thanks for playing and the feedback. Glad to hear my level designs are hitting some notes. The wall run is something I will fix for sure. I guess it's hard to balance a game with tactical planning and platforming.

@enver-arco Thanks for playing!

@flaterectomy Thanks for playing and the feedback! That level seems to give trouble to players. There is actually a sound for picking up a clock and getting a second to the timer. But a visual feedback might still be a good addition... I was actually considering simplifying the back tiles for the exact same reason, but ended up just with the current solution. Sadly time was against making more levels, and I wanted to prioritize new (and harder) challenges.

@kitmani Thanks for playing and the feedback.

@brusi Thanks for playing and the feedback! Congrats for the win. I was aware of the low visibility of the character during the development but I just went with it this time. I wanted to experiment more with the levels but I guess I'll have to do it at later date, huh. You can follow me on itch if you're interested enough, I'll post devlogs for updates.

@vhalenn Thanks for playing! Glad you like the graphics.

@zimny11 Thanks for playing and the feedback. I will probably take the wall running out.

@mikoziq Thank you for playing and the feedback. I'll see what can be done to the clunky jumping and make the graphics clearer.

Tower of Time 2 by CodeRaurus 2022-10-04T20:41:30Z

@figadei Thanks for playing! I'll try to fix coyote time, but will probably hold the update until ratings are done. It's in the gray for me.

Tower of Time 2 by CodeRaurus 2022-10-05T06:23:38Z

@alaah Thanks for playing! Sorry to hear about the stuttering... I'll investigate. I don't know how good your PC is, but did you try turning the particles off from menu?

@kuboxxxxx Thank you for playing and the feedback. Yeah, I agree it doesn't fit the theme that well honestly. I guess it ended up being more of an inspiration this time.

Tower of Time 2 by CodeRaurus 2022-10-05T18:59:33Z

@purpledartfrog Thanks for playing!

@pixelydian Thank you for playing and the feedback! Game could use controller support... The theme is very prone to have 10s timers unfortunately. But there are clever implementations out there.

Tower of Time 2 by CodeRaurus 2022-10-06T09:02:21Z

@corporation Thanks for playing!

@sharploaded Thanks for playing and congrats! There's certainly adjusting needed for movement.

@shmador Thank you for playing!

@nyxkn Thanks for playing and the feedback. There might be a twist in the level.

Tower of Time 2 by CodeRaurus 2022-10-07T05:38:39Z

@glove Thanks for playing and the feedback! The sequel side is pretty much just a homage to my first LD entry, you're not missing much in that sense. The goal tries to be shaped as an hourglass.

@dyguests Thanks for playing!

@papaya Thank you for playing.

@projectcolorball Congrats and thanks for playing! I'll put your game in the queue.

@pbg Thanks for playing! And thanks for the chrome confirmation. Maybe it's my version + hardware.

@alex5041 Thanks for playing. There are six different tiles but I totally understand and get you. For this entry I tried to approach with a simplistic solution so I didn't even bother trying get too much variation. And all good, I didn't see any duplicate comments.

Tower of Time 2 by CodeRaurus 2022-10-08T09:27:16Z

@katreenashy Thank you for playing!

@climbing-dolphin Thanks for playing!

@nash Thanks for playing and the feedback. You think 3 and 5 are the hardest ones? Interesting. With the time I had I wanted to give player something new for each level but that was pretty hard with limited resources. So, I decided to up the difficulty the further you go. In addition to that, I just wanted to explore different kind of levels, like the ones with small passages, although they are extra tricky with my limited and quite punishing mechanisms. Perhaps I over looked some design choices from the player's point of view.

As far as QoL goes, coyote was attempted but didn't make it to the jam release. But I got it working and it will be there in the future, yay!

@niccolo-temperanza Thanks for playing!

@firellon Thanks for playing!

@pietmichal Thanks for playing and the feedback. I agree, I have to adjust the tile set further to provide more clarity. I did it a bit during the jam, but I had a hunch it wasn't enough. Coyote time is coming in the upcoming update, making it more bearable hopefully.

@lesinvisible Thank you for playing and the feedback. Yeah, the game is not the most casual platformer. I think I had Celeste and others like it in the back of my head while developing. That said, the difficulty could ramp up slower for sure.

Tower of Time 2 by CodeRaurus 2022-10-09T10:18:07Z

@stuffedgravy Thanks for playing and the feedback! The falling blocks ignore the timer and if you are on them timer keeps running. It's a great idea to introduce the time stop in a level. It might require something extra to be able to be implemented, though. I'll give it a try!

Tower of Time 2 by CodeRaurus 2022-10-10T18:48:26Z

@zwodahs Thanks for playing and the feedback. Congrats for beating the game, as well. Especially if it got frustrating. I agree with your points and I feel my execution fell short on crucial details. And the initial difficulty was aimed quite high. But a lesson learned, hopefully in the future I can make something more bearable.

@euler-moises Thanks for playing! Too many colors, you say? Huh. Well, I'm doing update on the tile set and will probably give the background a spin while at it for clarity. Hopefully that will fix the issue.

@fuzzybut Thanks for playing and the feedback! Congrats for winning. Yeah, the sequel is used as a very loose term and is meant more of a homage. There is no bigger scene or lore going on between the two. The playable character is the same, though. Kind of you to give the old game a spin!

I'm making a post-jam update which should fix most of the issues and maybe provide some new levels. After that, who knows. I do enjoy making the game. I'm aware of the clock bug you're talking about, I'll add it to the list and see what can be done.

Tower of Time 2 by CodeRaurus 2022-10-15T06:53:11Z

@artofluba Thanks for playing! There is no controller support, unfortunately. I'll have to add some.

@satacat Thanks for playing!

@digital-bacon Thank you for playing.

@matt-ravenhall Thanks for playing and the feedback. I'll investigate what happens to the volume.

Tower of Time 2 by CodeRaurus 2022-10-17T06:28:05Z

@vykri Thanks for playing and the feedback! It was nice to see some live thoughts and you gave good insight. Hopefully the upcoming update solves some of the issues. I'll try to come up with some levels that encourage to actually use the time mechanic.

Tower of Time 2 by CodeRaurus 2022-10-18T17:54:43Z

@sephowepho Thanks for playing and the feedback! I guess you're quite a platformer then, huh. Yeah, some of the issues should be addressed by the upcoming update. Your comment inspired me to implement some control to jumping, we'll see how that will feel.

Count Down Dracula by Guilloteam 2022-10-04T12:10:34Z

Such a wonderful game. I only wish there were more levels. The game didn't feel too hard after few upgrades and with a nice setup it could be escalated, making progress super easy.

Good work, team!

My Robo Nanny by satacat 2022-10-21T17:35:17Z

Great looking graphics. Unfortunately the game was pretty unplayable (at least the first update). To me it seemed you 50/50 lose the game straight away when the timer runs out, and before the first tick you really cannot do anything but move.. I got to try out one mini-game but no input was read and I ended up losing.

As far as the controls go, I think you should give a comprehensive list of controls if you do list them. For example, let the players know how to proceed from the menu (using space, I assumed E as it was listed as a interaction). I'm not too worried about the mini-game buttons as you can see available buttons in-game.

I think the concept is nice, though. Hopefully functional game will be available later (idk if the latest update is it).

Good job.

Shady business by Peche et Tradition 1867 2022-10-06T12:17:37Z

This one feels like one of the most atmospheric games this jam. Kind of relaxing yet anxious, just sailing a ship. Gameplay wise there's just enough complexity to keep yourself on your toes unless you want get caught or crash.

Well done, team!

Chaos Pigeon by jabsatz 2022-10-05T07:30:07Z

Pretty funny game, reminds me of GTA in a good way. I appreciate all the different types of scores you can get and the various birds to unlock, gives you incentives to play. Though it was unclear for me who the pacifists are.

The menu could use alternative ways to navigate. I initially tried to use mouse only.

Good job!

Chaos Pigeon by jabsatz 2022-10-05T11:17:54Z

@jabsatz No, didn't see any reaction from mouse input. Tried to change playable character.

Relaxing Roots by SharpLoaded 2022-10-06T10:51:11Z

Lovely, relaxing game amidst other fast paced entries.

Well done.

Insecures by BoClow 2022-10-04T18:13:02Z

Pretty cool concept of a game. I do agree on some stuff others have already said.

I think there is too many things happening at once and would probably separate the interaction with the pilots and acting in the field. I kept forgetting to reply to their messages because I was so focused on the action. I'm not even sure how the lack of communication would affect them if at all. There was no indication of that in the field.

I feel the aim could turn to the direction of movement or the turn could be faster. I also found the move and aim toggles redundant. Maybe they would work better as a setting option.

Visually the game looks good and has a nice command deck feel to it. There's quite many paths to go with this and I don't want to make the development any less fun, but you could contemplate on what are THE THINGS you want from the game and further improve them. Or maybe the idea has to brew some more as a whole before coming to fruition proper.

Good work regardless!

Rush Hour by SephoWepho 2022-10-04T10:04:08Z

Very enjoyable game. I like the presentation and the overall mood. The graphics are clear and the music is popping. Nice grain of salt in the humor as well.

I think the order recipe could use some tuning. Now it takes time to scan which items you actually need and gives you a huge disadvantage. Or maybe I was just slow. I also like the zoom, but I wouldn't want items to be unreachable because of it.

Good job!

Last Defense by Pixelydian 2022-10-06T08:28:37Z

Damn, you nailed the retro feel! I love the tunes. Graphics are also on point and the gameplay feels coherent with slowly increasing difficulty in levels.

Skipping levels is such a fantastic idea! Maybe I'll implement that in the next one..

Great job, one of my favorites this jam!

Two beers and a glass of wine by arachnid56 2022-10-03T12:08:16Z

Once you get the hang of the game, it's pretty enjoyable. The lack of feedback made me lose the first run in confusion and double check the instructions. Some sort of sound or visual to reinforce your action would have been nice. Picking up drinks feels a bit slow, it would've been great if you could keep the key pressed and it gave you drinks from the shelf.

Good job!

Bomb Squirrel by shmador 2022-10-04T14:33:40Z

I really like the NES-aesthetic! The music track is also good, but was bit too much after a while for me.

Good job!

Area 51 by Bdiaztobarra 2022-10-06T08:51:06Z

Nice game. The timer here creates a decent pressure to the game play. I assumed reading the text that you have to use the computers before the 3 second mark, but apparently it is within 3. Graphics are solid and the music has this infiltration vibe to it.

I would've liked to know what computers have been used and how many there are left overall in HUD.

Good job!

Cutthroat Cannoneer by Glove 2022-10-07T06:16:37Z

I like the pirate theme and the concept in general. Movement feels a bit floaty but otherwise good to control. The player character has nice animations. The HUD is also on point with the aesthetic, though I was slightly confused what it. Initially I thought the ship indicated your health, maybe because of its coloring. But once I noticed what was going on it was all good. The fuse is a nice touch, clearly indicating a time limit. Perhaps it could lead to a cannon? Just a suggestion.

The imbalance in audio, between music and sound was quite high and it almost blew my ears off. Sound effects were too loud in comparison. For these cases sound and music options would be great. The music has a good vibe though, I liked it.

Good job.

Speedy Farmer by Papaya 2022-10-07T06:45:02Z

Nice fast paced farming. Graphics look nice, although some animations for actions would have been neat. Interactable objects are nicely highlighted and transition to each season is clear. Speaking of which the change in music is always a great touch in detail.

As has been said already, the aim is a bit vague and could use clearer indication and/or more leniency.

Good job!

Sub10 by uik 2022-10-04T06:57:58Z

Cool concept. Loved the sonar effects and points for having narration. I would've liked subtitles with the narration to double check given information. The narrator also mentioned getting upgrades but sadly I didn't notice any difference in the experience.

I was confused what the goal was or when I had gathered enough materials. Adding indicating element to HUD could be a nice addition. Some of the enemies seemed to avoid the sonar, somehow.

Good work, I think there is room for exploration and further development (as seems to be your intention).

Exp10sion by lynnezzzy 2022-10-07T07:05:21Z

Nice puzzle platformer. Good puzzle designs and a catchy music. Some of the levels have this difficulty with timing when you are on a timer and it makes it rough.

The visuals quite good. At first, I thought the yellow railings in the first level were waypoints or something.. :D

Well done!

Emperor Penguin by OlivierYC 2022-10-03T08:19:50Z

Loved the presentation and design in the game. While I like the rush to respond to requests, it would have been nice to have enough time to read and think about what each penguin is actually saying as well.

Good job!

DingDongDie by figadei 2022-10-04T19:20:12Z

Graphics look nice. Unfortunately I wasn't able to play the game after intro. The character wouldn't move or if it did - just slightly to a direction.

DingDongDie by figadei 2022-10-04T19:34:23Z

@figadei Controller is plugged in but not in use. Just mouse and keyboard.

DingDongDie by figadei 2022-10-05T06:51:39Z

Okay, got it working. Had to plug out the controller.

Game is pretty cool. Pretty short and I would've liked few more levels and maybe some variance in enemies. I like the graphics and the fact you change music for the rewind is a nice touch of detail. I'm not sure how to feel about collision and health. It kind of felt either the player or bullet colliders were too big and I took damage in a situation where I'd say I was dodging. I also assumed the health would drop by one bar but instead it was reduced by two.

I'm not exactly sure of all the conditions, but if you play around the menu you are able to break the game state and move the character - even after the game is done.

Well done!

The Box by Lukas0842 2022-10-03T07:59:25Z

A funny puzzle game. I feel the theme interpretation, while not that unique, provides nice urgency to plan and act. Simple sound effects could've been a nice touch and the only thing I really think is missing is restarting the level, in case you realize you're at a dead end.

Good work!

The Box by Lukas0842 2022-10-03T09:26:34Z

@lukas0842 There was? Oof, I'm blind! Thanks.

Machine! by KITmani 2022-10-04T07:28:53Z

Game looks nice. But I don't know what I'm doing or supposed to do. I tried experimenting with it, to no avail.

Time: Cardmancer by AkaCMD 2022-10-06T07:37:53Z

The presentation is very good. Loving the banger music and graphics are great all around. On the UI side the the menu buttons and white text blended a bit to the background.

Combat in itself feels fairly simple but the pace makes it harder to grasp of all the cards and their functionalities. It feels pretty fun nonetheless. I would probably try placing both character bars next to each other or make the enemy one bigger and thus clearer.

Windows package was corrupted when I tried to download it. The web build hides player information slightly on the left. Full screen would have been appreciated, as well, to ingest all the pixels.

Great work.

A Little Bit Of Everything by Matt Ravenhall 2022-10-04T13:51:02Z

Nice series of mini games. Simple and clean execution.

Good job!

Whack-a-troll by Ezekyuhl 2022-10-04T06:37:47Z

@ezekyuhl Where are you hiding the web build? :D I see the google drive link named HTML5 is basically just the source code.

Whack-a-troll by Ezekyuhl 2022-10-04T07:08:23Z

@ezekyuhl Ah, I was blind. There it is, on this very same page!

Whack-a-troll by Ezekyuhl 2022-10-04T07:22:40Z

I like the character sprites and the concept of the game. The music is too loud for my taste, especially when you have no way to adjust it.

I see the game is lacking some features you have mentioned yourself, so I won't focus on them. I'm not sure how the enemies work, but if they have health it would be great to see how much they have. Now it felt like the whole game loop starts over: the enemy is pushed backed and the music starts over (which it shouldn't).

Nice job, I find the game a good project to work on and hope you do so.

Clique Hell High by Sean Esopenko 2022-10-21T16:41:42Z

I really like the music and the visuals are colorful and cheerful. The options at the start are appreciated and the changing music as a cue is a nice touch. I didn't get too far and felt either the projectiles should go slightly slower or you faster. This was emphasized in crossfire situations.

I think describing the game as rhythm game threw me off a bit, because I couldn't connect any projectile patterns to the music. I might have read into it too much or just too tired to actually hear the patterns, though.

Good work, regardless!

The Lamplighter by SelkieHarbour 2022-10-04T13:11:04Z

Cool, moody game. The eyes really stick out from the darkness. I had a slight difficulty understanding how to light the lamps so I skipped the first few and then got stuck in a long path, which seemed nearly impossible to cross with light. I'd say outlining the charge wheel would make it a lot more visible against the snow.

Nice entry!

Time control in 10s! by Eager 2022-10-03T08:40:44Z

Ah, the good old rewind mechanic. The movement feels good overall. The lack of integrity between some assets is bit immersion breaking for me. Appreciate the control guides. It's nice that the game has a story and dialogue, but I would prefer text appearing in place rather than jumping around the lines. I would consider using a pixel font or some other crispy font to promote the aesthetic.

Sadly I got stuck in the pool of water, I'm sure there would've been nice puzzles waiting.

Good job.

3-Min Derby by JPK 2022-10-06T11:42:31Z

Pretty cool mechanic, feels like something different for a baseball game. I'm not sure whether it was my pc or if the build is unoptimized, but the character movement felt choppy.

Even if you don't participate in compo but want feedback, you could very well opt in the jam category for the parts you have done. I fear people might skip the game if they cannot rate it in any way and get a possible trade with them.

Well done in any case. Welcome aboard the game jamming.

Samurai Halloween by Nion 2022-10-03T11:29:01Z

Nice looking game. I like the concept of having this insta-killing action. Unfortunately the gameplay falls a bit short for it. I feel it is because there is so much waiting. The waiting and running is fine in itself, but the long anticipation between each slice on top of that is too much. So I would make the action feel faster and thus powerful. I would also increase the target range a bit - or maybe even target the closest one in range.

Good stuff!

Monster's Dungeon Shop by Deniz ARAS 2022-10-03T12:19:29Z

Nice game, I like the mood you set up with the music. Graphics look fine and shiny. I guess you have to spread the items around, otherwise they will clog the spawn real quick.

Not sure if you are aware, but the timer goes to negative after game over. Very minor thing, but I wanted to let you know.

Spaceship Parking Simulator by fuzzybut 2022-10-21T16:05:33Z

I like the atmosphere of the game with chill space tunes. Didn't play for long or get too many successful landings, but the actual landing felt quite challenging. I even thought I nailed few of the failed attempts. Perhaps some sort of speed indicator would've been a nice addition.

Good job!

Unstable by RaynDawn 2022-10-04T07:39:00Z

Very cool looking game. I like the mix of voxels and 2.5D. And the spooky music adds a ton to the atmosphere as well.

I think the collision for the characters is off vs. what you see. I kept missing even when the missile was right there, visually on the spot. This also caused me to bump into environment by accident. I wish the map had clear, visual borders. Now you see land before you but get stuck on the invisible wall. And if you're unlucky, you will be surrounded by enemies for that.

I like the clear HUD and the fact you have the controls right there.

Nice work!

Quick Quack by theohay 2022-10-06T07:43:51Z

Pretty solid, fast paced game. I like the duck animations.

The game's pretty tough, I also dropped out at second level, when I realized I wasn't going make it in time. Unfortunately there's no music or sounds, but I could imagine something hilarious with the rest of the aesthetic.

Good job.

Press me...or die by Vykri 2022-10-21T19:57:13Z

Funny and very compact, jam-sized entry. Voice acting is a nice touch in a jam, although subtitles would have been great on the side as the second character was hard to understand at times.

What's Under The Teapot? by thegamearchitect 2022-10-03T13:08:59Z

I have no access to the linked itch.io page. Anyone else got that?

What's Under The Teapot? by thegamearchitect 2022-10-04T06:13:32Z

Got it working. Game assets look nice. I don't know about the timer, I think it could count down from 10 and repeat. It was quite at the edge of the screen as well.

I agree with others that the pace could be slightly faster. No real reason to wait for feedback after guessing (unless there is anticipating drums or something to enhance the experience). I feel the game could start with multiple objects already at the table and moving them around could give a nice little boost to the difficulty.

Camera movement is nice, but I didn't feel you need it really.

Nice work.

10 seconds ware by Remblej 2022-10-03T13:38:18Z

I liked the visuals of the game and the different levels. Was fun. A compact game for a short timeframe. Sounds and/or a music track would have been great addition, but that's how it is sometimes.

EDIT: The game doesn't fit the frame of LD site. Is it just me? Just letting you know.

Good job!

You and Floor by Climbing Dolphin 2022-10-08T10:10:52Z

Nice concept, using the classic play as a base. The controls were bit floaty for my taste. Good move to implement checkpoints throughout the map. Somehow the music fit the game quite well and was quite catchy.

In addition to the planned player start randomization, there could be a check for transitioning from nothing to nothing and blocking it. Because that combination prevented my progress at one point.

Nice job.

Loop Arena by LorandusBianchi 2022-10-06T07:22:12Z

Nice shooter. I liked the graphics and the intense music. I was also misunderstanding the goal at first, thinking you have to reach each column in time. Maybe such confusion could be avoided if you reversed the kill count to show how many enemies are left.

The cloning mechanism is pretty cool and the decaying powers of columns force you to move around.

One thing I would change is making the shoot automatic when mouse is pressed. You see plenty of these kinds of implementations but they rarely work when you shoot a lot.

Good work.

Lights Out by niccolo-temperanza 2022-10-08T12:37:41Z

Interesting game, I liked it. The main mechanic is cool and towards the end there is some clever usage of it.

I'd say the controls felt slightly too floaty as some of the jumps required more precision and the character slipped from the edges in addition. The last part could have been bit more interesting and used the previously introduced logic or something. Now you could/had to simply brute force it.

I could imagine hearing some echoing steps in the void.

EDIT: I recommend using proper platforms like itch.io or jolt or such in the future. Downloading from google drive feels always shady.

Good job!

LD53 — Delivery

Hexy by rasblo 2023-05-17T17:24:01Z

This feels like a great couch game. I would've liked a little in-game guide to explain how many pieces you can place and how the center block works. I thought it was game over when the opponent reached to the border before me and the mailman started running. After realizing the game was still on I assumed the block would yield more points. But it seemed to count as one as well.

Good work!

Pizza Friday by Phlip45 2023-05-17T18:03:28Z

Very interesting puzzle game, it felt quite unique. The whole overlay could separate the game components from the instructions. The rules feel quite complex and I wasn't sure, for example, was a single item counted as a demand or not. At first I didn't understand the left side houses indicated the rows available, maybe some sort of clearer indication could work as well. I really enjoy the music.

Good work!

Ultimate Pigeon Post by Yorsh 2023-05-03T17:10:23Z

Nice, complete game. Graphicly pleasing to watch and you got good sound effects to fit the game (I like the KO announcer). For me the control scheme felt odd but I got used to it. I suppose I would use space for jumping but then again the slide is pretty crucial mechanic. It was also little hard to read the result texts, either outline or some sort of background could help with that.

Edit: It was slightly annoying to have to click the intro text away each restart.

Good work!

Pack Bringer by Bugord 2023-05-04T16:52:26Z

Very good puzzle game! Loved the provided challenge, though I almost lost my patience with level 8, haha.. Can you change the audio levels in game?

Great work!

Pack Bringer by Bugord 2023-05-04T17:12:14Z

OH! Nvm, I was just blind as a bat. I don't know how I missed those... Because I DID go to menu but didn't see them. Carry on!

Hexpress by RunicPixels 2023-05-09T15:23:12Z

Very cool. I like how you use the mail as a weapon and how you reveal units behind trees and such. The music were great, although I'm not sure if the main loop really fit the setting. Maybe I was waiting for something more whimsical.

I would adjust the hearts to be one color for legibility's sake. Limited palette is a great challenge and choice but how you present some information. I felt the UI especially was very easily lost into the pixel jungle. Outlining could have helped for that.

Good job!

Sender Not Found by whycardboard 2023-05-02T17:39:42Z

Love these kind of games. Pretty unique take on the theme. My only gripe was the confusion between "L" and "1", not sure whether it was on purpose or not. I also got the impression there was only one correct answer to each input but later I found it to be false. It left me wondering whether it was the case for the whole game, because there would have been quite a many interesting choices.

Good job!

The Souls Express by antvelm 2023-05-09T15:02:20Z

Beautiful game, the presentation is on point. The calm music drifting in the sea.. I wish there was a quest log or something, keeping record where the passengers want to go. This way you could double check your next destination at the engine room instead of walking back and forth. Also, I was left unsure what the apple icon meant. Was the passenger hungry, did I make progress in their goals? It felt like you only got the same dialogue anyway.

Good work, very relaxing indeed.

Pretty good game, I like the funky tunes and the beep boops. I got stuck but I just realized it was just my brain doing its thing. Mistook 0 for O.. But it was pretty cool doing the morse.

The current text animation makes it unreadable until it stops, so I would highly recommend revealing characters in their intended position. I believe there is a setting for that in Unity as well, though I can't recall it.

Rhino Express by Mahjoub 2023-05-01T16:30:30Z

This is a great entry. Loving the intro and constant introduction of new rules and challenges. The music is very catchy.

Great work!

STL: Last mile by TinySalad 2023-05-03T16:36:17Z

Nice little game. I enjoyed the movement, though I wish you could rotate around. Would make it even more fun.

Good job!

Courier Carter by Linnet5 2023-05-06T08:54:31Z

Fantastic game! Love the visuals and audio. The puzzles are challenging. I got stuck at the radio level, having no idea how to do it.

I agree with others that you should not hide UI (once introduced at least) and perhaps improve on the command execution feedback.

Great job, loved it.

DeliverEgg by Tricky_Fat_Cat 2023-05-06T09:09:05Z

Good looking and feeling game. Maybe it was my approach going for the top level first, but after dying once I was unable to lower the bridge. I have no idea what lowered it in the first place, either. Perhaps the game could've used the classic floating F for interactions. I had no issue starting over but I didn't reset too many times either.

Good work.

30 Minutes Or Your Potion's Free by Rustywolf 2023-05-01T15:55:55Z

Nice little card game! Adding mana to the usual energy economy feels like a fresh take. I expected to preserve unused energy, though. All the fights feel unique. I like how you executed the transitions between fights, the orders you get from the crown and the deck preparation.

I would change the location of deck and discard piles. Currently you can confuse them to indicate enemy deck.

Good job!

Crystallium by MikoziQ 2023-05-07T13:58:31Z

Cool entry. The game gets pretty intense at level 5. I found the start screen to have no text or indication how to transition to the game, only a blue screen. Not a huge issue but I was waiting for he screen to either go away on its own or tell me to press something (like it does for space bar). I found the controls bit weird for locking steer to one side only. I think I understand the design choice but now there is no way to correct over steering.

Good job!

@gzalo @rustywolf Thanks for playing!

@castitatis Thanks for playing, I think you did good.

Monster Mail by CodeRaurus 2023-05-02T08:30:57Z

@yorsh Thanks for playing. I wanted to make the quests little harder but I didn't have time to fine tune it, better if more people can finish the game.

@defrag That's an excellent idea! Maybe I'll change the ending... Game's easy enough to have no issues finishing, especially when you give a little thought to choosing units. The stats were indeed for another feature which didn't make it. I fell for the classic... over scoping. Thanks for playing.

@spaceylake Thanks for playing. No, game is easy. I'd rather have more people finish it in a jam, unless it's meant to be challenging. And it is lacking the core challenging feature which was suppose to use defense and charisma as well.

Monster Mail by CodeRaurus 2023-05-03T15:10:33Z

@rradu I totally get the boredom part. It's missing one core part from my plans which make things things a bit more interesting. Even few sound effects would have done a lot, honestly. Thanks for playing.

@ollie-d Thanks for playing. I guess there could have been something in place to estimate the distance, say "Short/Medium/Long."

@bridgeonastick Thanks for playing. You could've kept playing after the completion and do a bit of grinding to get the rest. I was okay having them as "post game content", though now I'm unsure why. Extra laughs would have benefitted everyone.

Monster Mail by CodeRaurus 2023-05-04T18:15:54Z

@corporation Thanks for playing. Yeah I was wondering about the clarity and decided to go with little more cryptic, story driven path time. I think this would be a never ending battle nonetheless.

@dishwand Thanks for playing! I also want to see where the game could go with this premise.

@montigor Thanks for playing! First one commending the relaxed game play. I find it pretty rare in the jams.

@rasblo Thanks for playing. Yeah, I did a over scope this time around. There were meant to be different kinds of events which could either benefit or harm you, depending on multiple factors. And it was going to be the challenge in this one. I hope to return to this later!

Monster Mail by CodeRaurus 2023-05-05T18:21:33Z

@phlip45 Thanks for playing and the tool suggestion. Yeah, I wish I could've added some sounds. It would have done so much to the game. I even had the manager for that in place. Enjoy the games!

@ruddiculous Thanks for playing and feedback! I actually wanted to name the towns proper but had to skip it in the end. Some of the information could be clearer when selecting the route, for sure. I'm glad you enjoyed the story.

@aile Thanks for playing! The game needs some audio. Perhaps I'll do at least that later if nothing else. I had some good ideas for them too.

@asieke Thank you for playing. The main component for incentive is missing, sadly. I meant to add different factors on the way. If I was able to do that then I would've also adjusted the difficulty slightly higher than what it is now. I could've made the RNG harder, yes, but I preferred having more people being able to finish the game instead.

@aviv-levy Thanks for playing and valuable feedback. I also want some audio in the game. The starting town is actually darkened but I also considered highlighting it. I have no idea what made me keep the former. If I had 15 minutes or more I could've added the names as well. My logic for units is that they are unavailable until hired, which lead to greying out. There could be some change or indication when you have enough money to hire. I left the stats as a sneak peek for what I was going to do but ran out of time to actually implement. If you don't mind, do elaborate on the last part a bit more.

Monster Mail by CodeRaurus 2023-05-11T15:11:55Z

@jeffrey-hwang Thanks for playing, glad you got your itch scratched. Unfortunately I ran out of time to implement the core feature to make decisions meaningful and not just speed checks. I'll try to get it done at later date.

@adamcyounis Thanks for playing and the feedback. You made some great points and I've got them written down.

@0x-void-x0 Thanks for playing and the flattering praises. Didn't think anyone would take a look at the source for the art, haha. The gameplay fell short even though I spent a lot of time with it. I'll come back to the project and fill the gaps.

@le-don Ey, thank you for playing. Yeah, I figured that hiring units could be confusing without any good indication of being able to do so. I didn't make it clear enough but you don't have to sweat about the total days on top right. Once you hit "Go" on routing the timer for quest starts and there is no punishment for taking your time otherwise. I understand it might not be clear as a player.

Baby Juggling by BridgeOnAStick 2023-05-03T17:23:14Z

Nice game, it's pretty fun trying to go extreme with the throws.

Packet by Defrag 2023-05-03T16:52:20Z

Cool game! I like how you get a tune from routing, almost make it feel like a rhythm game or something. Visually appealing. I wish it had an interactive tutorial instead of just clicking on the dialog. I got the feeling you had the parts for it. But once I mistakenly tried to move a packet it was go-time and there was no time to read anymore. And this unfortunately applies to the (most likely) interesting messages you get bottom left. I just didn't have time to read them.

Perhaps you could have change the timer to limited moves so the player can take their time to adjust. Or drop the urgency altogether since the servers have durability and require action from player.

I also liked the menu transition.

Good work!

Energy Delivery by Gzalo 2023-05-01T15:13:17Z

Nice management game. The concept is pretty simple but the gameplay gets hectic quite fast, providing a good amount of challenge. It would be nice to have clearer distinction between sources and sinks, now they kind of blend with each other (and the background). Music could be slightly lower by default. I appreciate the fact that you can mute the audio, though.

Edit: I think "the tips and other rules" you provide on the page should have been in game as well. The information is pretty crucial to strategize.

Good job!

Galactic Roadside Assistance by SpaceyLake 2023-05-04T15:40:33Z

Very good game. Probably the most polished one from the games I've played. I liked the visuals and the music as a whole. Unfortunately it seemed like you have no way to fight the bigger pirate bases. Or maybe I was not progressing fast enough and there would have been some sort of a solution for them. Perhaps the progression could have been slightly faster.

Good work!

The Mailman by Castitatis 2023-05-01T15:33:51Z

I like the vibes the game gives. The music creates this oppressive atmosphere and calls for action. However, I found out there was actually no incentive to beat anyone up. It would've been nice if there were checkpoints or stops that force you to clear the screen and get to beat some butt.

Good job regardless!

Soul Weaver by ollie_d 2023-05-02T18:03:28Z

Nice take on the theme! The first soundtrack set the perfect atmosphere for the game for me, while the second felt.. too cheerful? The gameplay was fun, although it would have been great to have some rules laid out for you. For example what tiles the enemy can have control over and does your tiles lock for the round or not. I think you nailed the narrator voice for the setting.

Good job!

Rapid Delivery by Mikzam 2023-05-05T17:03:53Z

Nice game. I like the aesthetics of the game, the LEGO block like buildings, and the music has a nice vibe to it. The music volume was too loud in parts, causing it to break. I second having some sort of an UI indicating how many packages you have and maybe how many you have on you.

Well done.

Battery Boys by Cronno 2023-05-01T16:56:33Z

Nice, original game. It would be nice to have the instructions in game, as well (I read them but forgot when launching the game...). Sounds were quite loud.

Thank you for the recharging accessibility option.

Good job.

Ludum Dare 53 by Beebster Games 2023-05-04T16:00:10Z

Cool game, has a solid setting to it. The eerie music fits well. Now, I didn't read the explanation to see how the game teaches its players. And I almost got a heart attack when the series of mines went off! They were pretty loud, so I would lower the volume on them. Some beeping light from their position could also act a warning. The Sorceress spawn sound sounded very fairy-like, making me believe she was my friend who came to help me.

I would also give even more margin to the text in the first scene, so the eye wouldn't have to wander across the whole screen for each line.

Good work!

Stand and Deliver by rohanmoon 2023-05-02T18:13:58Z

Nice idea and take on the theme. Loved the comedic mood you're set on right away. For a moment I thought my prompt window was the assistant, even if it was on my side of the screen. Maybe it was the lack of italic or gray font that is commonly used for fillable fields.

Good job.

The Delivery by aile 2023-05-17T17:42:58Z

Nice little story. It had an unexpected ending. I concur with the cursor feedback. I managed to speak to the Gardener without seeing him at all, thought I was talking to the plants. The game could use some sound effects even if simple and few. I could imagine hearing some footsteps or perhaps a hiccup. What I heard from the music was pleasant but perhaps some option to tune it would have helped.

Good job, welcome to the jamming.

soul sender by aushijo 2023-05-01T16:41:06Z

I like the tunes and the borderless level. I wish you could steer the car more and make sharper turns. The way the car pivots feels disorienting when you're upside down.

Good job.

Packing Up by RRADU 2023-05-05T17:38:18Z

Nice, cozy game. Good aesthetics. I deemed myself victorious when I sold Zoro figure for 999.99, haha. It would be nice to see your balance while shopping as it is quite vital part of it.

Parcel Control by Vitaslayer 2023-05-09T15:42:19Z

Lovely customs game. The difficulty ramped pretty fast but once you got a working process it was easily maintainable. The game does give Papers, Please vibes, as has been mentioned.

For dialogue boxes you could consider progressing the dialogue when pressing the whole box, not only the button. Or make the next button little bigger. But this is a very minor thing.

Very solid entry, good work!

Shell Shipping by Puggytatoes 2023-05-01T16:15:50Z

Beautiful graphics, I like how there is a clear distinction between objects and terrain. The music was very soothing. I think the game could have been just an exploration in the deeps, without any fighting. The control scheme feels weird. It's hard trying to shoot enemies while keeping your distance. Dodging enemy bullets was very hard, I guess I was meant to use dodge on them. Some checkpoints between "the branches" would have been appreciated.

Great job, solid entry!

Valhalla Calling by Aviv Levy 2023-05-05T16:54:42Z

I love the music and the tension you built for the game with that. Combat felt a little janky.

Good job.

Valhalla Calling by Aviv Levy 2023-05-05T17:51:43Z

@aviv-levy Yeah feel you, there is never enough time haha. Hmm, I guess the major thing would be the enemy lunges. I'm not sure if it was just me or if the player states change slowly and I got hit. While I did try to block (unsuccessfully) I was also attacking around, trying to do the tango. So I guess it sums up to tightening the combat and inputs. And you also mention a lot of good points to work on so I'm sure the path is correct.

earthmover by dishwand 2023-05-05T17:24:01Z

Very charming game! Reminds me of old PSX games. If anything, I would make some sort of bar or indicator you are resetting. Now you kind of had to figure out you hold R for a bit instead of just pressing it. I thought it was broken at first.

Edit: I also meant to suggest extending the dialogue background to full width since some of the text was overflowing.

Good job!

Tiny Island by ghpxi 2023-10-07T07:48:06Z

Lovely building game. The difficulty was pretty easy, which should be ok generally. Maybe it was missing some sort of a twist to make things more interesting? Also, I learned of the win and lose conditions from the comments. This should have been provided in-game, in my opinion.

Nevertheless, I enjoyed my playthrough. Good job!

Compress(space) by Fahim Faysal 2023-10-07T06:54:29Z

Great puzzle game. Lovely visual effects on the compression. The sound effect was kind of loud for my taste. It would be cool to see more levels and perhaps even vertical folding.

Good job.

Slime Infestation by Lexyvil 2023-10-03T05:53:26Z

Nice, clear visuals. If anything, I'd tone down the stars in the background a bit, currently it's pretty noisy. I also like the interpretation of the theme and concept of the game. The RNG might be too rough. I keep getting swarmed around mid point because I can't get enough ice. A run button or a mechanism to kill some of the slimes would have been great addition.

Good work!

Low Memory Rush by Magnanix 2023-10-03T06:05:14Z

On-point with the theme here. The presentation is overall good. Each object feels visually distinct even if it the screen can get messy late game. And the audio fits perfectly with the graphics. Gameplay was solid. Next steps to see would be gun variation, different types of AI and a dodge roll.

Great work!

Please Sign Here by Ampo 2023-10-07T09:02:08Z

Cool drawing game. I could appreciate the humour once I noticed I can inspect the forms better (maybe the hand made me believe there is nothing on the left side of the screen). I feel the levels could be a bit more lenient with the precision. One of the later levels which contains a lot portals, precise movement and was timed made me quit. There was just too many factors there, for me at least. Perhaps, if there was no timer or if the path was wider it could have been doable.

Great job overall!

Hot Drills by CodeRaurus 2023-10-04T05:34:02Z

@kultuk You can use CTRL + ALT + V to skip levels and continue where you left, if you feel like it.

@raaph Yeah, the dynamic ended up being quite interesting. Do you feel like something is clearly lacking?

The King is Watching by Tvorojok 2023-10-07T08:45:17Z

Great, innovative game! One of the favorites this jam, for sure. I almost beat it, maybe I don't know how to cycle tiles enough or something. Might come back to it and give it another shot.

Wrecking Jail by Guilloteam 2023-10-04T05:26:38Z

Clever take on the theme! Aesthetically pleasing with wreck-o'clock music. Sadly the leaderboards seemed to be down again.

@jrevel Hmm, interesting. As if any dynamic text isn't working..

Garbage Stack by CasualNothing 2023-10-03T06:19:24Z

Quite relaxing game. It's easy to just waste minutes stacking the trash. My first intuition was to place them at the bottom of the truck instead of top of it. Proper player feedback for game over, not just freezing the game, would have been great. I was uncertain what the color box indicated. Something score related, perhaps?

Good job!

Too Maneon Loots by lastuck 2023-10-04T06:01:01Z

Very interesting concept, I like it. While I generally like jam games being fast, this went overboard with it. The pace picks up REALLY quick and in matter of seconds you're unable to inspect your new loot and are forced to throw 95% of it into trash pile. You don't get to enjoy the experience at the moment. The vibe is there though. All it would need is little tuning.

Exit button doesn't really work on web version.

Good work!

Tarot Nightmares by ne_sofa 2023-10-03T07:30:28Z

I have no idea what I was doing. No previous experience with roblox and couldn't read the pictures either. So I ended up running around a bit and messing with the flashlight. I was able to bug it so that I couldn't point anything with it. The whispering was bit overwhelming for me.

Not really my cup of tea but graphics seemed nice.

Well done.

Doodle Defenders by martinboue 2023-10-10T18:18:31Z

Nice, solid game! The mix of visuals and music makes for a unique experience. Gameplay wise the mechanics are simple and clear. At first I got the feeling you cannot spam the lanes and have to wait for the base to clear space first, but I think my cursor was misplaced. I don't know if it's a bug, but my pawns got stuck at the top. I would've assumed them to disappear upon reaching the camp.

Good job!

Good job!

Great puzzle game. The music sits very well into the rest of the game. I got stuck at level 9, seeing no way around it.

Great work!

Limited 2 Space by DSK 2023-10-03T07:56:42Z

Interesting mechanics, it's a clever take on the theme. Puzzle difficulty is fine, getting harder towards the end game. I feel there is a disconnect in the menu UI and rest of the graphics. Otherwise they look good. Some sound effects would have been a cool addition.

The ending text was hard to read, probably because of the size and glow. Didn't have enough time to read it through.

Good work!

Snow Rose by Shiivers 2023-10-04T08:50:46Z

Nice concept. Aesthetically fitting and good looking, creating a mysterious/ominous atmosphere. I wish the chase was a single occurrence and instead more puzzles to solve using the unique mechanic.

Have you opted out of ratings intentionally?

Good job!

Aeris by Loka 2023-10-07T07:29:39Z

Awesome puzzle game, great take on the theme with the mechanics. The music oddly fits the game. I tried undoing with Z but it didn't seem to affect anything or didn't go far enough. I got soft locked twice by snuffing out the fire.

Good job!

Ark of the Dogbear by doubley 2023-10-03T07:16:25Z

I like the two phases of the gameplay and their relation to each other. The fishing scene reset for each fish is mildly disturbing but otherwise it felt good. It's a shame you didn't get the different kind of cargo and scoring implemented, would have definitely made the game more rewarding and interesting.

If you plan to improve the game, rotating the cargo would be a nice addition.

Good job.

Space Ltd. O.D.A. planet defender by Wekslie 2023-10-04T07:03:55Z

Nice idea and I like how you approached the prologue and enemy introductions. I got to second enemy and pretty much got stuck between the planet and explosions. My suggestion would be removing said collisions between player and objects. Some of the projectiles also hit the planet off screen, which makes it impossible to block.

Good job!

Shrink Up by 0Point 2023-10-04T06:47:57Z

Good job.

Rogue Rails: Fractured Cargo by Phillips Albright 2023-10-03T06:55:06Z

I really like the low-poly models. Movement was fine, I felt like I could stealth through early situations. Combat felt bit clunky, I would've assumed at least the one hit kill when head shooting unaware enemies. But instead it felt like the enemies were shooting faster than me and doing a better job at it. I think I know what the music was aiming for but I would prefer a more intense, atmospheric track for this kind of game.

I got stuck at the second gate, finding no lockpick or key.

Performance wise it was okayish. I was dropping frames at assumed last cart since it was pretty packed. I don't know if Unreal provides the performance settings out of the gate. But I'm fairly certain my PC shouldn't have such a hard time considering how small the game is. I was playing with high settings.

Good job overall!

Princess can jump by Xeniarta 2023-10-07T07:10:32Z

Nice arcade platformer. Visually good looking. I made a mistake interpreting the jump bar, somehow I read it as "jump stacks" instead of "timer for one". I would've preferred slower movement, now the character moves and jumps with quite a burst of energy. And of course, few sounds would've done a lot.

Well done.

LD55 — Summoning

Dungeon on Demand by ThePelranthean 2024-04-15T12:56:15Z

Interesting idea. It could work with little more meat on the bones. What plans did you have for it? I feel in this state it could've used some sort phases for the doors, like "spawn X and then slay Y" or "slay X in Y time". Sadly there was not a whole lot to explore, as promoted.

I do like the models.

Good job!

Virtua Bob by MSolomon 2024-04-27T15:23:13Z

Appreciate the sound slider.

Good work, enjoyed it!

Sum Monsters by eonarheim 2024-04-30T09:54:49Z

Enjoyable puzzles. How did you design them? I'd say visually the preplaced reducers could have different colored fonts. And as has been mentioned, current total and indication of removing/repositioning units would be helpful.

I didn't vibe with the music. I could imagine more melodic, perhaps cheerful, tune to fit the cute summoner better.

Good work!

Nexus by denvil 2024-04-19T20:58:49Z

Nice idea and cute 3d models. I was also confused on what to do next at first. Once I got the first hero I tried to deploy them into the last pipe because that would've aligned where the mission board is - left side. I noticed you have the labels on pipe lids but they are pretty hard to read most of the time due to camera angle. Maybe turning them towards the camera could help a little.

I like the intention of seeing the progress of the mission. But the gameplay feels very slow, especially when the progress bar goes into negatives. It was also unclear when you lose your moneys. Is it when the bar goes -100?

Music is catchy and reminds me of old PSX times.

Good job!

Gander and the Elemental Dungeon by burnedkirby 2024-04-27T15:36:19Z

I see you got little over ambitious :D I love the music, they feel like they're telling a story. The game reminds me of old school JRPGs and I like that.

The lack of feedback or indicators for parrying made me stop, unfortunately.

The game has possibilities and room for growth and it would be nice to see what you can come up with.

Good job!

Rythm Ritual by rasblo 2024-04-20T08:32:21Z

Nice - actual - rhythm game. You managed to set a perfect, creepy mood. Indicating accuracy of notes is a plus, though maybe it could've been slightly clearer. You went pretty crazy with patterns in the late game. Personally I wouldn't have used triple notes. It felt.. a bit too much. Maybe it's because there are only three tracks, not sure.

I would recommend using git or other version control for your project. Google drive links are always a risky move.

Good entry!

WWWWW: Wily Wazza (the) Wizard's Wacky Wadventure by ThaProfesional 2024-04-15T12:10:05Z

Nice entry. I like the art style. Platforming felt slightly wonky, at times little infuriating with the rest of the mechanics. I expected to have singular, consistent type of projectile. One that I could rely on.

Edit: Not a huge fan of the spamming section. With RNG it could take ages.

Good job!

Summoning the Gienie by ajpl 2024-04-20T07:51:06Z

9 Hours Till Chaos Comes by Cubanfrog 2024-04-27T16:42:34Z

Tried the original to know what you managed to do in the jam. I also skipped reading the game page and attempted to understand the game during the play and how it conveys it's mechanics and such. Appreciate the information and polish in there, though. A wall of text can scare jam players though due the strict rating period.

I really like the visuals and the audio. The grimoire is a nice reference for mechanics.

Didn't quite understand how the battle worked. The "x/y" stats were slightly confusing me, I wasn't sure what they were and why they were altering. In addition, I would've loved to inspect the opponent to strategize my lineup.

Great work regardless!

Zarguuf The Summoner by Juutis 2024-04-19T19:50:29Z

Very nice entry. I love the eerie soundtrack. And you've done a good job using monochrome palette. Gameplay has a nice depth to it, especially now that I read about the farming strategy in the comments.

I'm wondering.. Is the bone boss supposed to be invisible the first time around? Felt like a bug to me. Death resolved the issue and it was back in business.

Well done!

Very solid entry. It's fun and challenging. The audio visuals give a pleasant cozy vibe. Control wise I'd increase the buffer time for tapping slightly.

After giving my brain a good scratch, I got to level 7.

I'd also like to remind you that we are in fact in year 2024, not 2023 :P

Bureau of Summonings: Infernal Affairs by KaisenTheGreatOne 2024-04-20T08:20:19Z

Nice Papers please -like game. I expected the age guidelines to change as well. Didn't hear any audio which could've made the atmosphere even better.

Appreciate the difficulty option.

Good job.

Necromancer 101 by Ty Victorson 2024-05-01T17:20:10Z

Nice game! The mechanics feel quite deep, although little one sided. For example taunt on player side didn't seem to do anything and. Sometimes poison didn't seem to tick but there might have been something negating it. Also, auto targeting an enemy by default would be a nice quality of life feature. Then you could change the target if you wanted to. Targeting your team implies interesting skills that could be implemented in the future.

I'd probably change the movement velocity to static value instead of ramping up, now it feels little sluggish.

I like the sound effects and the battle music!

Good job!

Seamonner Survivor by Transkuja 2024-04-17T19:56:26Z

Nice game. This has a nice twist to the survivor games. Digging the graphical style and the music. It would be cool to see what skills the diver unlocks on level up, before witnessing them in action. Also, I think there are two audio bugs. First one at the main menu where you can hear the swing sounds and second one with overlapping tracks when the game ends.

Nice work, team!

Reaver by AdamCYounis 2024-04-16T21:06:05Z

I like the music a lot. I didn't quite get how the capturing and summoning works. It felt like a chaos and couldn't really recognize ally from foe with only the color coding. Perhaps different skulls would've made a difference. And when I tried banishing, sometimes it looked like it affected a demon nowhere near the ward.

I managed to bug the game. After a run I pressed ESC to jump back to main screen and back to the game from there, the level was filled with empty colored clouds.

Good job as always! How did GameMaker feel?

Chief Ghost Crazy Cooking Bonanza by yohadams 2024-04-15T12:43:46Z

I like it. Great mood with the audio-visuals. I feel the items could float gently instead of spinning. I had trouble recognizing one because of it.

Good job!

Devil's QWERTY by SakuH 2024-04-16T20:09:51Z

This one is great! I love all the aesthetics and the humor. If anything, there could be some end review or simple scoring at the end.

Good job, one of the favorites this jam!

SUMMonDICE by koro.games 2024-04-30T10:13:38Z

Damn, very solid entry. Great visuals and jazz, setting up a nice atmosphere. I love how the results pop up all around on the field. It would've been cool if you could get short description for the shop items.

How did you implement the dice faces, by determining vector direction?

Good job!

Tower Of Madness by Chiara Sanviti 2024-04-17T15:15:43Z

Overall very good entry! Aesthetically good looking, great up beat music. I feel the difficulty was well balanced for jam context, meaning I had to do a warmup round before actually getting a decent rank (and still leaving room for improvement).

I'm not sure if I was just slow but I didn't get to utilize the room bonuses that much in late game. And some of the early ones were for unavailable units.

Great job, easily one of my favorites this jam!

The Sorcerat by JamieOK 2024-04-27T15:02:54Z

Nice chilly game. I like the dream like combination of environment's style and the music. I feel you gave a good taste of what the gameplay could be with the summoning mechanic. Would be interesting to see the concept taken further - like progressively increasing rat army and commanding them into several points.

Good job!

Against the Titan by CodeRaurus 2024-04-15T10:30:53Z

@ollie-d Thanks for playing. I blame my tradition to work levels and optimization in the last hours but I do agree with you. I was planning a second track (among other things) to spice things up but had to cut it, unfortunately.

@rob6566 Thanks for playing. Glad you found the difficulty fair. I had the urge to go over board but decided to play it safe for accessibility. I was afraid the symbols might not be legible enough... Need to work on that.

Against the Titan by CodeRaurus 2024-04-15T15:21:04Z

@jazkottaja Thanks for playing. It seems I really have to clear those symbols quite a bit after all.

@inkweeper Thanks for playing! I omitted the stars from guide but in hindsight I should've added them.

@matt-ravenhall Thanks for playing. I'll bump the speed up when I update the game.

Against the Titan by CodeRaurus 2024-04-17T16:44:14Z

@gabriel-chan Thanks for playing! I'll be tuning the speed.

@roughskin Thanks for playing. I'll see what I can do for more variations. Basically would need more content.

@ashketchdem Thanks for playing and the feedback. The current system doesn't really support rhythm but I'll see what I can do in the future. Would be cool. @ffenril Thanks for playing, glad you liked it! The content needs some tuning for sure.

@merb1000 Thanks for playing. The outer circle is showing you the next ring, to counter sudden notes in the next cycle.

@thaprofesional Thanks for playing! I'm sorry to say but "the fish ending" is the losing one. Gotta tune the difficulty.

Against the Titan by CodeRaurus 2024-04-18T21:28:23Z

@tempestcognitor Thanks for playing. The ultimate dance off should definitely be a thing! The pacing and downtime options were poorly balanced. I'll see what I can do about it.

@nardandas Yeah, the two hand coordination takes time to get used to. It got me as well. Thanks for playing.

@chuckiee Thanks for playing. Naruto definitely was an inspiration but time didn't allow me to do more signs... Risky move, summoning early!

@bradur Thanks for playing. You are correct, early summoning is pretty much just spelling your doom at this state. I had bigger plans for it. N-no, I wasn't over scoping. I was merely setting up room for updates... :P

@rakowu Yep, the game needs balancing. Thanks for playing.

@denvil Hey, thanks for playing. Choosing to go faster you basically get a bonus to points which determine how many followers you get. As for the rhythm part... I do kind of agree. Even though it did cross my mind I didn't want to tie the inputs since I was too far in current implementation. And syncing the music creates a whole new set of things to think about. But I'll consider it for sure.

@ajpl Glad to hear you liked it. The arrows sure need a visual update for legibility. I'll see what I can do.

@kaisenthegreatone Thanks for playing! I'll try to add more rhythm and sync to background music to the notes.

@rasblo You too? The notes don't follow any rhythm or anything because I knew it would be a huge undertaking for me within jam. Instead, they're only somewhat randomized (with some logic depending how many there are). Thanks for playing.

Against the Titan by CodeRaurus 2024-04-20T08:51:51Z

@baluj Thanks for playing. Always good to hear from the other side of the spectrum that you've set the difficulty well, instead of always being too easy (which I also understand).

@dishwand Thanks for playing!

Against the Titan by CodeRaurus 2024-04-24T03:20:23Z

@chiara-sanviti Thanks for playing! Glad you like it.

@jamieok Happy to hear you like it, thanks for playing!

@jonathan-vinesar Thanks for playing. The ending definitely could do some work. Previously discussed dance off would be great.

@msolomon Thanks for playing and the feedback! The invocations are the beats you're trying to hit. You get scores depending on the accuracy. Maybe it would be clearer if the logic was shown after each level.

@burnedkirby Hey, thanks for playing! I wish I had time to put more hand signs in.

@magicdweedoo Thank you for playing. Yeah, symbols could be clearer.

Against the Titan by CodeRaurus 2024-04-27T16:03:04Z

@untitled-studios Thanks for playing! Glad to hear I got the game feel right.

@kiv Hey, thanks for playing!

@sweetwizzle Thanks for playing. Yep, the beginning could have been a tad faster but it's great that people feel they've been given a chance. Kind of the point I keep in mind.

Ritual Realm by mhorth 2024-04-27T15:13:47Z

I like how much you got out of your few enemies and skills. Nice and challenging gameplay towards the end. I also dig the music. The "stay in the circle" objective could be rephrased, since you can complete the objective another way as well.

Good work.

Throes of the Javelin by MatterLinx 2024-04-30T17:04:23Z

Awesome work! I really love the spear mechanic, makes the platforming so much more enjoyable. And all the possibilities...! The game feels very polished over all with the varying step sounds, the "spear out of camera" indication, and fading menu music. If anything, it could've used some UI to mark your progress with the crystals. And the ending could've been clarified, as mentioned by others.

One of the best entries this jam for me. Thumbs up for post-jam development.

Ascension by Gabriel Chan 2024-04-18T20:09:33Z

Thanks for adding calibration, something to keep in mind for my entry as well. With it I increased my score ten-fold. The most intense part of the song is quite hard and I seemed to lose the rhythm there very easily. After half way the notes seemed to be out of sync.

I like the songs regardless. And the visuals are quite pleasing. Perhaps, if there was some additional hint of typing of notes (chain/simultaneous) it could've improved the experience.

Great work either way, team!

Symthesis by ollie_d 2024-04-15T11:08:29Z

Sweet puzzle game. Challenging enough, made me scratch my head few times and think. I like the atmosphere. I kind of wish there was better way to check combinations. I'm not sure what it could be, though.. Maybe a tooltip when you're about to fuse cards?

I managed to bug the game on win. In the assumed later part of the game, one of the fused cards stuck on cursor and couldn't interact with cards anymore, even after restarting.

Good job regardless!

Summito by RoughSkin 2024-04-18T20:24:30Z

Very polished entry! The art is cute and I like the fact that you can go for different kind of builds. Give a sense of depth. The brass in the music started to slightly get on my nerves but that could also be for being tired.

Good work!

Braid 3 by magicdweedoo 2024-04-27T15:55:41Z

This was an experience to say the least. I'm not sure how but you got a lot done within the jam. Or at least it feels like that. The platforming was little janky in places but otherwise the movement was okay.

Great job!

Summoner's Chess by Matt Ravenhall 2024-04-16T20:26:51Z

Interesting combination. I also like how pressuring the music is. Didn't understand how you summon pieces until I read it from the comments.

Good job!

Summoner's Burger by Chuckiee 2024-04-19T19:27:54Z

These typing games are always fun. New words and perhaps even combinations would have been a cool addition. Alas, time for compo is very tight.

Good work!

SoundSummoner by goddzeproject 2024-05-01T16:36:00Z

Unique entry. I second aforementioned: longer keyboard would have been nice and using keys or mouse for inputs could have been better than cycling through each key. One octave isn't simply enough (for me at least).

Nonetheless this could easily have extra development and features if you feel like it. Adding second hand could be interesting to see...

EDIT: Ludum Dare embed didn't start loading for me but itch was fine.

Good job!

Arcane Ante by Rob6566 2024-04-15T11:37:42Z

Interesting deck builder. Aside from some visual bugs (some elements like the discard pile and speech bubbles over scaling/using different scales) I really like the main concept of it. Even with the tutorial I was bit confused when choosing a card and getting the next hand.

Visually I was expecting the first one to replace the used card. And I would've loved either heals or more time for the bigger foes. Or maybe I was unable to utilize upgrades proper. For example, I didn't realize at first the timer delay was on draw/use instead of immediately.

Good work! I'd like to see more polished version of this.

Summoner Kit Simulator by Francois Dervaux 2024-04-17T20:38:48Z

Quite janky on the controls but otherwise a nice experience. I like the model and the relaxing soundtrack.

Good work!

Summoning by a lovely wizzard by LeoAtopos 2024-04-16T20:01:20Z

Nice little story, I love the sound effect. I feel the window resolution was set too high, it was hard to see the whole screen at once.

Good job.

Voiceborne by Blues 2024-04-16T20:44:12Z

Didn't quite grasp the mechanics, but managed to summon ONE monk :D Nice work using a microphone. Some of the sounds were slightly too high pitched.

Good work!

Court Summons by dishwand 2024-04-20T08:48:32Z

Very polished game, again! I like all the visuals and sounds you've done, they fit together perfectly. The different stages give nice variance.

EDIT: Adding accessibility option for a jam game is always appreciated.

Good work!

The Summoning Goes On by Inkweeper 2024-04-16T20:13:14Z

I like the catchy tune. The gameplay feels simple yet challenging enough.

Good work!

Temptation Summoner's Aprendice by Baluj 2024-04-17T20:52:58Z

Like the others, I wasn't sure what was going on even after reading the preface. My strategy was to spam the baits randomly. Additionally, in game there is no time to read the instructions at all. It doesn't help either that the text is on textured background, making it hard to read. So I suggest to change the background to something bright single color if you want to use the font.

I do like the art and jumpy tunes, they mix well together.

Good job!

Sir Lancelittle by BaggerSmurf 2024-04-18T20:34:38Z

This one has great sound design, loving the hurt sounds. The deck building aspect feels off but I'm not really sure what else to replace it with either.

It'd be nice if the enemy spawns had a lasting marker until they have actually spawned and if the beamers had some form of anticipation right before they attack instead of an instant laser.

Cool stuff, quite enjoyable!

Sir Lancelittle by BaggerSmurf 2024-04-18T21:29:24Z

@baggersmurf OH! I thought it was my cursor... Silly me.

God's Apprentice by Kimday 2024-04-16T20:37:12Z

Very cute puzzle game. All of the aesthetics and music fit together well. I could easily imagine some mouth-based sounds added to the bunch as well. Managed to solve all but the "cutest takes it all"

Nice work!

Cat Wizard by Lily Hubbard 2024-04-19T19:01:55Z

The game feels quite unique. I like the concept of using these different summons to accomplish different goals but the actual execution unfortunately feels janky. I expected to be able to cast both ways or jump on the balloon with relative ease, for example. The cat animations are SO smooth.

It would be nice to see your current available summon combos in-game somewhere.

EDIT: Does the game have audio since you've opting for a rating? At least I couldn't hear a thing.

Good job!

Summoning Salesman by Merb1000 2024-04-18T21:06:38Z

Enjoyable game. I feel you've set a nice atmosphere of mystic. I think the RNG was slightly against me when getting contracts but that's nothing new on my side.

Well done!

Illegal Summonings by FFenril 2024-04-18T20:46:29Z

Nice little game. I really like how you tell a story in each scenario. And props for the voice acting? I brute forced the last one and had to come back to what was the logic behind the solution.

Good job! Do make the later levels as well.

Endless Engagement by OobOob 2024-04-15T11:56:36Z

Nice entry! I like the simplicity of it and the music. I had some trouble commanding and understanding my units which cost me time, fatally. I think the unit descriptions should be seen instantly when hovering over the unit. This way you would have it laid out so it would fit in the screen as well (the most right ones over flow outside the screen).

Good work!

LD56 — Tiny Creatures

Hooverfield by Ava Skoog 2024-10-25T14:45:06Z

Cute little thing. Aesthetically very pleasing, and I like the little noises dust bunnies make.

Shame we didn't get a complete game but good work regardless!

Invertaburied by bradur 2024-10-25T15:13:19Z

There was music the whole time!? I finished the game without any audio and such it felt kind of slog. The base idea is good. Upgrades could be more effective and include a tooltip what they do to initially get going.

I wasn't a fan of the fleeing bugs, would have preferred if they at least fled a couple blocks away. The controls felt little janky with the accidental diagonal movement.

Loved the music once I found it. Good job!

Vox Regis by Sheepolution 2024-10-08T08:30:59Z

Very good! Such a tactical and hectic (if you try to minimize the speeches) yet simple game. Wonderfully executed, love the graphics and sound effects. Points for voice lines.

Is that... Townscaper I'm seeing? Creative!

Skrungle Rescue by dooskington 2024-10-07T14:19:55Z

I like the retro style and the banger music. You got a lot done! Combat was little janky and honestly I feel the game could have been done without it as well and instead focus on just platforming and collecting.

Good job!

Leapo Froggo by zwartraider 2024-10-07T08:17:35Z

Small yet very compact game. I like the fact that the scoring has multiple variables to it. Good work getting the leaderboard in as well. The game has a very funky feel.

Initially I thought you could eat any bug on the screen but it seems there is a range involved?

Beetle Brigade by bentglasstube 2024-10-10T08:24:59Z

Nice game. Visually looking good and the music gives a nice bright upbeat mood (it is quite loud though). Didn't really know what "start" button was mapped to but figured it out pretty quickly.

I am not a fan of the automatic deployment of ladybugs because that means I lose control and can't take my time to think and try. Instead, if you wanted to force them and limit player action, one way could be to trigger them after X player action or by increasing the deployment time.

I did not finish the first level. Probably could have with enough time but patience wasn't with me today.

Good work.

Re-Bot by Iluvatar 2024-10-07T14:02:29Z

What a nice little adventure full of FRIENDS.

Really liking the graphics and had to check what else you've been cooking.

Shame there's no music or ambience. Maybe a singular space humming could have done.

Re-Bot by Iluvatar 2024-10-07T16:37:39Z

@iluvatar Huh. Yeah, I did hear the other sounds alright. Now I'm doubting myself... There's a chance that my brain just filtered it or it might have been too low volume-wise :D

Crossfire by Jack D. Taylor 2024-10-07T13:49:23Z

Very hectic game. I kept dying over and over again. The controls felt wonky. Once I got a gun I had no idea whether I was shooting or not, because there was no clear player feedback that indicated it. OR there could have been but I mixed the bullet lines to someone else's.

Nice entry regardless! Wish it had some audio.

Tribal Tribulations by multiplexor 2024-10-11T20:15:21Z

Nice concept! I liked the tunes, makes you feel tiny and adventurous. Just like others, I also had some trouble platforming with my group to the extend I just wanted to see what's at the end, without them. And boy should I have had some followers then :D

Good work either way, the main mechanic is solid and you had done good around it.

B&B: Bugs 'n' Breakfast by rynti 2024-10-08T10:26:04Z

Good idea and execution. Fits the theme well. Art looks good and controls are simple. I feel having couple sound effects would improve the game quite a bit. Would make it more interesting when you can also hear things happening.

Good work!

Cheeese Watch by Yorsh 2024-10-08T10:17:11Z

Very good, I like how effective yet simple the game is. Interesting how the game teaches you about combos with the spikies. Overall the audio and visuals are good, fitting the aesthetic you're going for.

As mentioned, the flicking was difficult at times.

Was fun!

Luck of the Draw by Cruise Elroy 2024-10-07T08:11:44Z

Very cool! I like the gameplay, it feels quite unique to throw dice AT others. And then you got some extra upgrades in addition. I love the aesthetics overall, the catchy jingles, the dice animations, the small yet effective art style.

If anything, I wish the game had some banger theme going on in the background.

Flea Patrol by Sviborg 2024-10-08T06:36:51Z

Short and sweet. I especially dig the aesthetics and the playful music. Levels had good variation and you came up interesting challenges for each.

Controls felt little janky but it was not a big deal, really. What can you expect when controlling tons of fleas at once.

Good work!

Remy The Roach by beats 2024-10-12T10:26:44Z

Nice little fast paced game! The music really sets the mood, just listen to it and you're ready to rumble! I imagine the audio could be little too loud on headphones. Was there a option to adjust/mute them?

Good job, solid entry!

Shrimptopia by Instafluff 2024-10-07T08:39:12Z

This is one of those really, really idle games, isn't it :D Good work with the few hours you got!

Being a COMPO entry, I would opt-out of the audio category since you didn't really make it. Or maybe the game should be in JAM because of it actually, still opting out of audio.

Little nitpicking but I find it important to adhere to the rules, especially for COMPO.

Squirrel Mail by Boudichon 2024-10-07T07:42:32Z

Loved the puzzles in this one, very clever! I think there was a misunderstanding with the last mechanic. Maybe it was because the first subject wasn't exactly the same as later.

Nonetheless, good job!

Ants Save The Queen by Filip VannfΓ€lt 2024-10-09T09:52:05Z

I like ant swarm gameplay. I played kind of two runs, one where I immediately got stomped by a roller. Next run I completed with little no difficulty. I didn't encounter any upgrades or shops unfortunately, would have been nice to see them.

The game has a nice fitting music and a good climax in the end to wrap up the whole thing. I lost 90% of my swarm in the last room.

Good work, it was enjoyable!

Bug Hunt by JammyGunns 2024-10-07T07:56:13Z

Lovely little game, I like the family co-op you did! Visually cohesive style and interesting variations in bug types.

The sound effects were ear piercing, at least for me. Not a fan of them.

Good work!

runner by haztro 2024-10-10T08:54:08Z

Interesting concept. I would echo with most feedback. Also highlighting @holysparks 's first point. Remapping in-game interaction key from ESC would be my suggestion as well. It got kind of annoying when I was trying to figure out buying units.

Well done regardless, very nice and potential game!

BOILERMEN by diabolical-sloth 2024-10-07T06:33:51Z

Loving the whimsy atmosphere the music creates. Graphics are great and I like how you got in the little juicy details like heat emanating from the furnace and camera shake.

The group movement is a nice idea. At first I thought others would come to me when trying to pick up bigger coals. Are some sprites stronger than others?

What Is This, An Empire For Ants? by Jaco van Hemert 2024-10-08T08:48:29Z

Good war game. I like the puns and the setting overall. The music really makes you feel like you are a ant in the great ant march.

Selecting colonies and their path was slightly quirky which cost me an ant or hundreds. But other than that it felt good in gameplay. In the first match I totally forgot to check opponents ability.

Well done!

Interesting idea, the game really has some unique depth to it. I like execution overall. What I didn't realize at first was you can actually interact with the side bar. I just took a glance and thought "Ah, cool. Some sort of progress bar." So it could have been just me as well.

Nice entry!

Olives with legs by tete 2024-10-08T08:16:05Z

Good work!

HONEY, PUSH!! by Waterflow 2024-10-08T07:02:19Z

Certainly a unique setting. Appreciate the intro. I like the double edged sword of birthing more heir. Makes you consider twice. I feel the heir turn slightly too fast, though. Did you try fiddling with the variable?

Would be interesting to see a "chosen heir" as a special option.

Good, short fun. Well done.

Mouse Game by EightiethPeak 2024-10-13T11:12:40Z

I like the mice wiggling around. Cool idea and solid execution. I can imagine possible future challenges and features. Shame you didn't have the time for any sounds.

The embedded version gets stuck in the loading screen for me.

Well done!

EDIT: I see you still have the audio category in ratings. You can opt out of it if you wish.

Tiny Invaders by yosefu 2024-10-08T10:41:40Z

Very interesting concept. The enemies look more like Halloween creatures than tiny but that's fine. Not entirely sure what the other buildings do but the attacking one seemed to be the most important.

The scream sound is a good indicator of waves. I would put some visual helper as well that would show you where creatures are moving every now and then. Even if it's part of the game to find them out.

I tried to restart the game but there were no waves and double magnifiers.

Well done!

SURHIVE by Danigabe 2024-10-11T19:53:28Z

Interesting idea and nice execution. I feel the sounds and music were good but perhaps too loud. I wish you could determine the time of day from the background sky and perhaps get a warning when trouble is coming.

I agree the game could have a exit button or something and audio settings.

Good work.

Dance with the Sprites by Flewbimo 2024-10-07T06:54:47Z

Your Itch.io link doesn't lead to anywhere. Is it possible that it is not published?

Dance with the Sprites by Flewbimo 2024-10-07T13:28:06Z

I stumbled my way to the boss. I feel like I didn't utilize the sprites enough to light my way, instead holding on to them in case a red light appears. I was assuming some sort of passive light when picking up sprites.

I appreciate the sound alert when danger is near.

Good job.

Gobbo Freakout by Seth L 2024-10-07T08:45:45Z

I like the little gnome with the ear wax stick as a bow and matches as arrows.

One thing I felt missing was the clarity of what moves are left and whose turn is it.

Good work.

Creator's Dilemma by elykx 2024-10-13T11:31:55Z

I was doing fine up to 700 population until I was out of food. Perhaps there could be some balancing improvements but otherwise it was pretty enjoyable. The music fits the balance of good and evil I think.

The game didn't fit my screen even when going full screen which is a shame, I feel I missed flavor from the dialogue.

Well done, good entry.

Thoughts of tiny creatures by FuTaiBu 2024-10-07T13:30:04Z

Adding myself on the waiting list for when the game is available.

Thoughts of tiny creatures by FuTaiBu 2024-10-11T19:42:25Z

Nice entry. Cute little characters. I liked the challenging platforming and the fact you could "climb" platform ledges.

Having camera not show what is below makes it hard to make decisions to move.

EDIT: Didn't hear any audio but you have not opted out of it. Was the sounds or music?

Butterjar by Zz1p 2024-10-07T12:49:17Z

Nice puzzle game, I'm always impressed how people come up with these and manage to execute them in COMPO. I got stuck flower field level (third screenshot) and was little confused on how to control the butterfly with fire since it was moving kind of randomly.

I only noticed music thanks to previous comment. I shouldn't complain because at least it is not blowing your ears off but it could be a tad louder in my opinion (using speakers).

Slurp'em all by Romane R. 2024-10-13T11:43:27Z

Art looks good. The game feel very unintuitive other wise, unfortunately. Lack of any instructions (in game, here or itch) with the combination of debug tools available makes it pretty harsh when trying to figure out what's going on. There also doesn't seem to be any exit button, unless you fail. This annoyed me a bit. There also seemed to be a score but it wasn't showing for me in the UI anywhere.

I do feel the music fits and you have captured the essence of the theme well.

Regardless, ambitious and good effort. Good work!

RestaurANT by Guadalupe Murgo 2024-10-08T06:49:14Z

I like the music a lot. The movement is bit jittery, at least for the animation part. I wonder if there is a strat to follow.. The best I could do was $10 a day.

Shouldn't you start with the plate first? :D

Good job!

Stick Racing by Prunus Padis 2024-10-07T12:25:22Z

I like the cute/playful vibe you went for. Nice experiment for sure and the perfect opportunity for a jam. I only drove with the normal car. The track felt perhaps too tight, even for the normie. I shrug at the thought of trying the speed one..

The legibility of text has taken a hit from this approach. Now the thin line blurs into rest of the screen. Perhaps thicker marker or double lines could have helped.

Nice entry!

Bugstar BREAK by glooga 2024-10-07T08:32:18Z

Welcome to the game dev and jamming!

I see there was some complexity in the battle with the different move options. For me it was kind of difficult to tell each character's turn apart.

I would heavily recommend not using the bright yellow as fill background. It is hard on the eyes.

In the end I managed to beat our warm-up enemy. On to the next battle..!

Love Bugz by Jake Pearce 2024-10-07T07:07:08Z

I didn't get far in my bug findings.. (thanks RNG!) The game is aesthetically pleasing, you did a good job. I wish the randomness was more forgiving and let me find somebody who matched. And jam-wise it would give more players the chance to see the whole game you have poured your weekend into.

I would've forced the tutorial in this game. Because I went in without it and soon enough I was out of hearts.

As a stretch goal, it would have been nice to be able to choose your own details.

Good job.

CLICK THEM by Claudeliu 2024-10-07T06:50:22Z

I think you nailed your first entry to Ludum Dare. Getting something complete and NOT over scoped is never easy. Just for the sake of my mouse I wish there was an auto-click option when just pressing.

I feel the progress icons are misleading. They signify upgrades not bosses, right? The other thing that caught my attention was the health bars, which had inconsistency in how they fill up. I'm pretty sure it's the simple horizontal flipping causing it.

I do like the graphic style and the mice are cute. And I think you were creative with the upgrades.

Good job!

Dust in a ray of sunshine by ILDr82 2024-10-11T20:02:02Z

Interesting visual style. I had to double check the objective because I didn't understand what was going on at all... :D

Perhaps the balls could slow down faster. Now it gets little boring to just see losing all the energy while the balls are going and going.. The game started without actually clicking the play button.

Nice work!

Horseless Headman by SwanBoat 2024-10-13T12:01:13Z

Very polished entry! I love the aesthetics and the attention to detail in juice. Cards as health is a nice touch as well.

I encountered couple issues. The LD embed doesn't seem to fit very well. Early on enemies dropped two card top left side but I couldn't pick them up any time soon (one of them disappeared or was picked up, not sure which). I also got stuck with a red overlay. I imagine it was for low health or something but it never went away. Followed me all the way to main screen when completing the game.

Visually one of the favorites for sure and good work overall!

LD57 — Depths

Mole Cart by Skosnowich 2025-04-12T13:00:23Z

This was cute! I do feel like the combat could have been something else like hitting dynamite to clear path or something.

Good job!

Depthninja by headchant 2025-04-07T09:23:43Z

I liked the gameplay. Got good vibes. Not sure if the difficulty gets too hard when jumps get very precise, barely got to feel the game.

Is the repo up-to-date or is the game really made with one script? I'm not familiar with the used stack. Also, I would advise to make a web build if you can.

Directive: Downwards by ThePelranthean 2025-04-09T17:40:41Z

I like the design of the robot and the gameplay. It's fun exploring and trying to find your way to the next one.

Two minor things I noticed. The player slows down quite radically if looking down. This caught my attention when trying to land falls. And the other thing was having to grab the mouse focus back to the game every time you either complete or restart a level.

Well done!

Mirror City by vidarn 2025-04-07T10:49:22Z

Great entry. A real head-scratcher at least for me.

Audio levels seemed off. I know, I know, there are settings. My issue was watching the end and credits where no audio was adjustable.

Well done!

Moos from the Depth of Space by notnasiul 2025-04-10T17:29:13Z

I like it! The game gets quite intense when you're nearing the end, in a good way.

Graphically pleasing and the simple tune sets the mood well.

Good work.

Ribux - Spelunker delux by daandruff 2025-04-07T10:25:58Z

Damn solid entry! I love the visuals the vibe from soundtrack. It was fun! For a moment I felt like I got soft locked at - fourth level was it? The next level just within reach, one block between us.. If only I had any spades left. I hoped the restart button would have worked there, in case you get stuck.

Good job!

EDIT: Looking down scrolls the page as well so it gets kind of unwieldy over time.

Dantes Descendants by elZach 2025-04-07T11:10:42Z

I also like the character customization AND the connection with other player characters. I wonder how deep it runs or is it visual only? It's fun to watch the teams clashing.

Personally I would tone down the character outlines a bit.

Good job!

The Cleaner of the depth by Egor Iv 2025-04-10T17:24:10Z

Beautiful game. Simple yet efficient execution. I like the sounds the tooth make.

I was confused how the game was actually played, though. I had to come find the information from the page instead of in-game. I thought you had to do the opposite and especially clean the darker spots!

Good job!

Wrinkles by OadT 2025-04-07T09:37:41Z

Very interesting and great entry. I like how you don't necessarily have to beat each level to proceed.

Good work!

Puppeteer by benskca 2025-04-12T07:52:17Z

Very good entry! Level design on point, each introducing something new. I actually got stuck at the two corners one until I came here for answers. I didn't expect the components to behave like that.

The visuals and audio all match as a whole. I also like the execution of the theme.

If anything, it could have used a option to adjust or mute sounds as they were kind of loud.

Good work!

Bubbles by tolja 2025-04-07T10:06:57Z

Cute entry, I like the whale especially. I was kind of expecting to catch bugs even when they hit me, not just me charging towards them.

Good job!

Dyamid by leorean 2025-04-12T08:59:43Z

What a great game. No dull moments, nice vibes and jams. Gameplay is well executed, I'm always amazed how people make these interesting puzzles in a jam context.

Good. Work.

WanderWood by AdamCYounis 2025-04-07T11:26:28Z

Heads up, your game embedding is broken.

I love the mechanics of the game and unsurprisingly you nailed the audio visuals. I had a similar idea for "Layers" and would love a overall breakdown how you did it.

Not sure why but I got stuck pretty deep, in a room I entered from above. I guess I just couldn't reach the sweet spot to travel back? I think I also skipped an early level somehow - or brute forced my way in.

Great work!

Bagatelle by Aune 2025-04-12T09:18:14Z

Somehow weird and very lovely! Very polished and the gameplay is fun. Atmosphere is set just right and the music fits the vibe.

Awesome work!

Minesweeper 3D by LittleGamer 2025-04-11T16:23:14Z

Nice, solid minesweeper. I was bit off-put by the loud explosion sound. Wish it could've been adjusted.

There is actually a proper place for a link to your game in the game page here. For future reference.

Nice work!

@dstoc @colisan @frib I failed to convey this but you can actually use the buckets to get to upper levels. Them and the big rocks. It's part of the puzzle. Part of the idea is to explore and navigate with limited vision. Thanks for playing!

@cammin I do agree with you about the running. I was thinking about it when developing but decided to let it be. Who knows, maybe you happen to speed a bit too far. Thanks for playing and the feedback.

@clare-chan1738 Thanks for playing!

@cluster7ck Hey, thanks for playing. I'm glad to hear it made you feel these emotions!

Face Your Fears by CodeRaurus 2025-04-12T14:05:49Z

@nimbushead Thanks for playing!

@alex-davies Thanks for playing! Yeah, it is not too clear from the start. Especially if the game would have more props it would get tricky to distinguish. Something to think about for sure.

Face Your Fears by CodeRaurus 2025-04-12T14:58:27Z

@henk Hey, thanks for playing. No, you are right. The game is short and it's a weakness of mine in jams. The premise kind of sets you up for more. I wanted to do more layers during the jam but bumped into issues that cut the time for that. I'll probably give it some post-jam love.

Face Your Fears by CodeRaurus 2025-04-15T12:50:27Z

@fernofai @daniel @linky439 Thanks for playing!

@mikeliosus Thanks for playing and feedback. Yeah, the height difference is not clear enough in its current state.

@littlegamer Thanks for playing, I do agree with you!

Face Your Fears by CodeRaurus 2025-04-27T10:46:53Z

@gbegreg @librory Thanks for playing! Clearer instructions would have been in order.

@untitled-studios Thanks for playing! Yeah, gameplay ended up being kind of weird due very rigid execution of the main mechanic. Alas, that's how it goes sometimes.

Deep Hour by Cammin 2025-04-12T08:40:04Z

Nice game, very polished! I like the Luigi's Mansion-esque gameplay, though sucking thing into your flashlight doesn't make too much sense.

Enemies have a good amount of variation. Maybe some of the more busier rooms would need more space to run around and dodge.

I wasn't a huge fan of button smashing, I think you would get better game feel if you could just keep the spacebar pressed to keep sucking.

Well done!

Voidwood by Tobius 2025-04-12T09:10:33Z

Love it. I like how you rewind back to the surface and see the fruits of your labor.

Descent to sunrise by milq 2025-04-10T18:04:59Z

I liked it. There was times when I wished there was less running back and forth but I think it was redeemed later in the game when the different sections connected. I wonder if adding some detail to the environment could have eased the experience.

I think this could have worked without the items though and instead focus was on the individual skills of characters.

Good work!

O.R.B.I.T. by robin_schmitz 2025-04-12T08:07:48Z

I like the gameplay of swinging your way in the space. Is it intentional that you can do sharp turns when doing rapid clicks?

Visually this is very pleasing to watch. Audio wise it could use some space ambience and simple collect sound(s).

I found the UI top right to be in my way when trying to clicking on a planet beneath it.

Good job!

O.R.B.I.T. by robin_schmitz 2025-04-12T11:05:32Z

@cluster7ck Are you sure about the audio? I was playing on itch and heard nothing.

Forest Depths by Jon Curtin 2025-04-07T09:01:43Z

Nice vibes and I like the simplicity in gameplay. I got 86 points, it felt like the predators got way out of control. How does their spawning compare to hares?

Nice work.

Crabs in a Bucket by busisen 2025-04-12T13:04:22Z

Interesting game! I like the unexpected depth of gameplay. Visually pleasing as well.

I couldn't handle some of the sound effects though. They were ear-piercing.

Good job!

Pogo Dwarf by NTMalichi 2025-04-12T12:54:17Z

This is a nice skill-based, raged infused game. I both like and dislike it. I feel the pogo sound could have been more springy, like Mario's jump.

Well done.

Into The Abyss by Constance 2025-04-10T17:46:43Z

I liked the general concept of the game. It's a nice spin to make it an auto-scroller.

To be honest, I would've enjoyed the game more without the floaty physics. It was pretty frustrating when trying to pick up health potions, to the point I realized I was trying to avoid moving normally at all. Only digging and doing as little movement as possible. This was not what I wanted to experience from the game. I want to be able to move around and explore.

Nice job regardless. The music fits and the graphics seem pretty nice (could use that point filter). Points for making comprehensive settings even though I didn't experiment on them too much.

The Bleep by Literato Games 2025-04-07T09:07:29Z

Simple and clean. I like the graphics. The game could use some audio, maybe just a sound for taking strokes and/or "Under the Sea" like tunes.

I think the score screen is broken? I exited my run after doing couple laps and went to check the best score (even though it is shown already).

Nice work.

EDIT: You can also opt-out of categories you don't want to get rated for. Looking at you, audio..

The depths of Jam dungeon by Jernskegg 2025-04-12T12:36:13Z

Nice looking game! I liked the style.

I think instead of clicking and clicking, I would prefer just pressing the attack button. I was little sad that the camp ended up being kind of empty.

I appreciate the AI logic you have here. Do they have path finding?

As for your plans in personal notes - I think you did well to keep your scope in check. And you will definitely improve over time. I would love to see more features implemented into this one.

Good job, keep at it!

Deep in the Folders by Playrea 2025-04-10T17:17:26Z

Nice game. I like how the gameplay was designed. Clever.

Dungeon Chef by Clare_Chan1738 2025-04-12T08:23:36Z

Nice game. I didn't expect the order of items to matter but after failing few times I caught up with the gist. I liked the different stories the customers were telling.

I think the main font was kind of hard to read. Gray on gray with a small white outline just doesn't do it. I had to fullscreen the game in order to see. I would probably make the font totally white instead or black, whichever feels better and has good contrast.

The speech sounds were very loud, I would tone them down or provide audio settings for players.

Nice job.

Dive to Survive by Zshandi Krahn 2025-04-12T12:46:17Z

The double jump (assumed, felt like some sort of floating mechanism as well) felt little tricky to use. I almost gave up on the first jump when it seemed impossible. Fortunately the hint was given.

I did vibe with the game, it really has this old school feel to it. Points for that. And once you got into the platforming it was fun. I would have dropped the final fight or at least take a crab out of it. It felt unnecessary.

Nice work!

Ruby Hole by Aleksey4adoff 2025-04-09T18:01:55Z

Fantastic. Love me some rubies! Nice, concise story and interesting characters. Kind of shame that the game itself is pretty short yet understandable given the context of jam. But I guess you could always try to aim for bigger score, right?

Great work.

The Hole by dstoc 2025-04-07T19:54:39Z

Nice game. I liked the banger music the most. The gameplay felt okay as well although I feel I wasn't able to get a good shot with a lot of momentum.

EDIT: Went through the ground in hole 18.

Good work.

Life&Depth by Jacky San 2025-04-12T12:25:01Z

Good entry. Music amplifies the dark, underwater adventure nicely. Gameplay is okay though I wished you could make an impact to submerging by pressing down. Saw some comments about the distances for oxygen zones and do agree that they are kind of far compared to the tank you have.

I like how the game looks. The important UI components kind of get lost in the noise, I would try giving the bit more space to stand out.

Well don, guys.

The Investigator by ImmortalFox 2025-04-08T08:42:39Z

Congrats for your first game. The piano jingles sound nice.

I was also feeling the lack of feedback for my choices. Did I choose correctly or not? Who knows. Do the actions matter?

The buttons generally were little unresponsive compared to their visual size. If the input area actually matched the size then it would be okay. Also, just an idea but I would probably change the conversation button's visual as well to distinguish from the dialogue itself.

Great job regardless.

Froggy Towers by LordSheo 2025-04-07T10:09:14Z

Adding myself to the ping group, let me know when the game is available.

Froggy Towers by LordSheo 2025-04-09T17:27:20Z

I like the graphics. Gameplay wise it is quite rough. I would've loved to see the difference in towers, not just arrows and arrows, as well what the different towers do to make educated choices.

I barely heard the music in the background but once I did it was a pleasant tune.

I found that your score and health (at least in UI) do not reset after starting a new game.

Good work.

Fishing game LD57 by Andrew 2 2025-04-11T16:46:38Z

Nice little game. I like the extra reveal when timed right, though I kind of didn't know about it at first and just ignored the rod. I feel it should be emphasized more, bringing it more into front-and-center. Maybe around the cast area?

I enjoyed the music.

Good job.

Debts in the Depths by Reaktori 2025-04-10T17:09:27Z

Suck! It! Up! by Hjalte 2025-10-12T16:10:00Z

Fun game! Loved the show setting and points for having some voice lines.

The gameplay is interesting and it has nice amount of complexity to it. Reminds me of Backpack Battles for sure. However, I was little confused what the order of execution is in the grid. I assumed left-to-right, top-to-bottom but then my foxes on the right side went first.

Good work!

The Collector by Split82 2025-10-13T08:52:51Z

At first I wasn't sure if the progression would be too slow in order to complete the game but in the end it was fine. In the perspective of jam I would have loved it to be slightly shorter experience.

I like the aesthetics of the game. The visuals are simplistic, clean and effective. The silent audio scape sets the mood nicely, though I would have loved some sort of ambience in there as well.

Good work!

Dropseed by azahara 2025-10-20T13:57:05Z

Tight experience. The menu feels juicy. Might be just me but following the rain drops among the smaller ones gave me motion sickness..

Good job either way!

Lil'Jones 2: The Collector's Tomb by SolidHinken 2025-10-20T15:05:32Z

I think the game has an interesting concept but unfortunately we are missing half it. Picking items and fitting them in the inventory feels nice. I wish the upgrades would also increase the difficulty and give the gameplay some stakes.

Well done!

Catorus by TopperVideoGames 2025-10-20T15:54:06Z

I like the idea of moving around a sphere. I was honestly waiting for a snake game, it feels weird your tail end isn't grounded and instead in fixed position. As others have mentioned, I also felt the steering was too weak.

I think I was able to bug the game out. I couldn't find any dust particles and was so close to completion. I wonder if I consumed too many particles in one chomp or something...

Good job.

Treasure Hook by Monado 2025-10-11T07:52:46Z

Aahh, I missed the swinging feature completely. That could've helped me in a few spots.

Pleasant music and nice graphics, I see you put good effort in the animations and effects. Gameplay felt janky in places but overall okay. I kind of wanted to hurt the enemies with the hook instead of risking my own health going in melee. As for the bouncy slime blocks, I expected to be able to time myself and get a boost.

Didn't complete the game but found myself to level 2. Well done!

Trash Catchers by mira 2025-10-12T15:33:34Z

Quite nice. It's fun to navigate two ships simultaneously. I also enjoyed the visuals and music. I feel there could have been some different obstacles, like whirlpools or currents.

Sadly the window dimensions were too large for my monitor. I had to zoom out the browser to make it somewhat work. At least the shop and dialogue portraits on the right didn't scale that well.

Good work!

Kitchen Pottle by CodeRaurus 2025-10-08T09:25:12Z

@nextnoon @imos @vauletti Thanks for playing!

@harujam Thanks for playing! We kind of had an in-level guides in our backlog but it got scrapped at the last minute.

@alstegodev I see you found our latest feature... :P Thanks for playing!

@monado Thank you for playing. The cutting board's facing can definitely be confusing. We tried to emphasize it with texture but it might have needed something more distinct.

Kitchen Pottle by CodeRaurus 2025-10-12T15:17:14Z

@ynnon @skel3ton Thanks for playing!

@nomelu Thanks for playing. There definitely could have been some indicator/hint for rotating, just like moving. And the counter might have been little unintuitive.

@thoastbot Hey, thanks for playing!

@schu Thanks for playing! You mean the game page itself? You can return to menu with ESC. That could have been in the GUI somewhere...

@dm1tr11 Hmm, mouse would definitely give more precision. I think our minds got locked in on one peripheral. Thanks for playing!

@amiuke @fullbuff Thank you for playing!

@the-default-team Thanks for playing. I also prefer sticky mode off, it was added mid-way as the default for accessibility. Good thing it's totally optional!

@azahara Thanks for playing, the controls can be bit janky. We wanted to give them some polish but didn't end up having time to implement.

Can you give me a hand gesture? by She Wrote 2025-10-08T09:33:47Z

Simple and clean game, I liked it! Felt like a solid compo entry. I also had some trouble working with between thumb and index finger.

Good work!

Stealth Hobo by Thoastbot 2025-10-12T15:57:44Z

I was expecting more levels and more treasures to collect. I'm guessing that was the plan at least, looking at the inventory space. I liked how the direction of movement is indicated with the head tilting forwards.

The stealthing didn't really matter in my playthrough. Still, interesting idea on paper and would have loved to see it more.

Good work.

Stamp Divers by harujam 2025-10-11T07:02:56Z

Love it, such a polished piece of art! I like how the scroll opens up. I think the balance is there, even when I got destroyed at ninth crown by tower spam (which I didn't get that much). Appreciate the interactive tutorial at the start.

Great work!

Collect Star Dust β˜… ζ”Άι›†ζ˜Ÿε°˜ by fan 2025-10-11T07:14:05Z

Aesthetically pleasing game. Appreciate the visualized tutorial. Still, took me a moment to understand that where you have to stay to extract materials, and stay very still.

Taco doesn't look like a fast robot so it was kind of weird to see it zoom around. Perhaps the level could have been more condensed in size and then Taco could clean up at its pace... like a roomba.

Good job!

EDIT: I almost forgot. During the starting dialogue there was flashing between the bubbles. I was not a fan of that.

The Garbage-Man Of New Trash City by kenevil1 2025-10-11T06:52:04Z

The vibe is there and totally matches the theme. Appreciate the voice lines. The music is also a banger. Gameplay wise it was mildly frustrating to lose when you're middle of reading the guides. I feel you could have started the timer after a button was pressed and you knew player was ready to play. There also seemed to be some random time losses. For example, I dumped some trash and got more time (according to the UI) but shortly after boom - it was game over. Odd.

The streets felt small for the car.

Good work regardless!

Build-A-Bot by Tykki19 2025-10-08T09:58:48Z

Really fun! The game suffers a bit from RNG but I like the increasing difficulty and added mechanics. Didn't realize at first that you can save parts for the next round.

I think I beat the last level? I heard the countdown sound and figured that was it for me... But no, instead I cleared the level!

I wish you didn't have to restart from the beginning when failing a day.

Good job!

The emotion stealer by vauletti 2025-10-11T07:22:40Z

Hey, if you have time to upload a working web build that would be awesome. I'm trying to avoid downloading anything. Would love to try the game out.

The Collection of Me - θ‡ͺζˆ‘ε›Ύι‰΄ by Amiuke 2025-10-20T14:47:37Z

I didn't quite get it and understand how everything works. But the atmosphere was mysterious and interesting.

Good job.

Cat & Swords by MrMastin 2025-10-21T18:25:06Z

Nice game, the clicking is kind of addicting. I do wish, for the sake of the mouse and enter, that there would be some auto-clicking as well. Others upgrades could be cool as well.

Well done.

Grid Commander by alstegodev 2025-10-11T07:34:50Z

Interesting mechanics. I like how you combine the cards and order them to control your unit. Lots of variety. Though, I wish you could've eject a card for free and pick your card after that as part of the same action. I would've also liked a description of each card in game just to make sure. On the other hand, I feel like part of the fun was to discover what they did.

I wasn't able to destroy any bases, my hand didn't allow me to move in place to shoot it.

Well done and congrats for your first submission! Welcome to the jamming.

One More Pack by Nomelu 2025-10-12T15:44:22Z

It was very hard to sell my rare cards to get more money... But I got there, all collected! Nice and simple game, scratches the itch just right.

Good job.

Stuffed by KIRY6A 2025-10-12T16:14:06Z

Any chances to have a web build?

Stuffed by KIRY6A 2025-10-13T09:05:46Z

Intriguing concept. The combat feels very hard when your jaw flies gods know where after getting one hit in. And the issue there is the fact the jaw doesn't drop nearby. I found it preferring out-of-bounds locations, inside the walls. Those were tricky to get.

I did like the skull's animations, they were fun.

On a side note, I skipped the link initially because it was under "MS Windows". I assumed it only had an executable there and moved on...

Good job!

Meticulous collector by The default team 2025-10-20T14:31:08Z

Very good game! I love the music and the whole aesthetic is in balance. The puzzles and mechanics are interesting. I think it's only missing some sound effects and even those feel optional.

Great work.

LD59 — Signal

Alpine by RenD 2026-04-25T10:54:10Z

Simple yet polished and complete. Loved it, this is a great example of a jam game.

Do it Right by captain-awesome 2026-05-01T12:39:52Z

Nice aesthetics, props for narrating. I didn't have the patience to complete the game after failing for few minutes :D From player perspective there could be a bit more room for error but I also understand that the theme of the game doesn't really allow it.

Well done!

Human in the middle by Colisan 2026-04-25T10:19:39Z

Couldn't quite get the hang of it but managed to send a message! Liked the theme and aesthetics. Well done!

Static Echoes by oramun 2026-05-01T09:01:00Z

Nailed the atmosphere and tone for the game. Nice variety of platforming in different zones. I got to the point where I had five computers left. I have no idea where they are, no clear indicator or open path unlike with the others. The loss of signal effect is nice although I think it could ramp up slower. Now, even when you have "plenty" signal left to play with, the game gets very hard to play.

Good job!

Steampunk Ship by CodeRaurus 2026-04-25T09:33:27Z

@nathanial Thanks for playing!

@harujam Thanks for playing! We did discuss the difficulty and pacing but it seems it was still too much.

@bumble Thanks for playing! Haven't played Lovers in Spacetime, another one to the list... Bottom right room, the cargo room, is for picking up parts that you then use to repair rooms. Rooms themselves have health but unfortunately there is visible indication only when they are at zero. A lot under the hood and in our plans that didn't make it.

@colisan Thanks for playing! Almost every room has a function. And we didn't give clear instruction either.

Steampunk Ship by CodeRaurus 2026-04-30T16:53:05Z

@anszwa Thanks for playing!

@cosmogonicfrog Thanks for playing and the feedback. The instructions were quite minimal..

@garaptic Hey, thanks for playing!

@jhonny111 Thanks for playing!

Steampunk Ship by CodeRaurus 2026-05-01T08:40:49Z

@oramun Thanks for playing! We also experienced the enemies remaining off screen. That is not intentional at all. Do you have a wide monitor?

@pastry-chef Thanks for playing. The bottom row has (left-to-right): engine room, coal room and cargo room. Gather coal and fill the engine to keep the ship running. Cargo room is bit more confusing since we didn't finish all the indicators for that. But basically you gather parts from there and head to damaged rooms to fix them.

@prunus-padis Thanks for playing! We also figured this could be a lot more fun and crazy as a co-op game.

@captain-awesome Thank you for playing, welcome aboard the pirate extermination squad!

@ochpochpunk Thank you for playing. No worries, your game will be checked. I usually check those that leave comments and feedback.

@cazik21 Thanks for playing!

Steampunk Ship by CodeRaurus 2026-05-08T13:36:18Z

@haskill Thanks for playing!

@ping78 Thank you for playing!

@kack3y Thanks for playing! Yeah, the health of the ship is vague, unfortunately.

Signal Tower by Jhonny111 2026-04-30T17:30:16Z

The music really gives an epic atmosphere to this one. Neat defense game with a nice variety of weapons and enemies. The audio was glitching for me any time I moved. I figured maybe the audio player is spatial and turns with the input, causing the issue. The audio was also pretty loud, wish I could've tone it down a notch.

Good job!

Smoke Show by Crygos 2026-04-25T10:29:17Z

Good take on the theme and very intriguing gameplay. I was somewhat struggling with the controls kind of got the hang of it eventually. I wonder if the game would be easier with controls that are lined up next to each other. I think the separation threw me off a bit.

Nice work!

Smoke Show by Crygos 2026-04-25T20:45:01Z

@bumble All good, especially if the layout is standard for rhythm games

A game about a radio, vessels and bombs by harujam 2026-04-25T09:57:28Z

This one ended up quite nice, I like the radio in its whole implementation! You just keep on fiddling with audio, huh. I feel like in some levels there is not enough signals to catch for every bomb and mine. And hiding signals behind a track ("hatsune miku" in this instance) can lead you miss them. And if you do end up trying to listen every channel to its full length, you will risk wasting a LOT of time (which you don't have).

D:Code by CosmogonicFrog 2026-04-30T17:18:31Z

Nice game, I liked the floating signals and the tunes. Platforming wasn't necessarily bad, I'm just not sure about the lack of control with jumping. Especially if there was a tight corner to jump.

Well done regardless, very solid and complete game!

Fire Support Survivors by Zamizmi 2026-05-01T12:20:53Z

Interesting mechanic, I liked it. It also fits the theme. Good variety of weapons. I would move the HP bar somewhere else or make it pop out a bit. I completely missed it on my first run. And perhaps I would either remove center point for targeting or make the player immune to weapons (or at least some of them). Another thing I felt was missing from the panel was canceling the signal.

I didn't play enough to see the progress but how does the game scale? More enemies, tougher enemies?

Nice job!

Fire Support Survivors by Zamizmi 2026-05-01T13:01:48Z

@zamizmi For example, when I mistakenly mark the center position I'd love to cancel the signal and try again.

FixTheDamnSignal! by anszwa 2026-04-30T17:02:00Z

Simple and effective! Like a jam should be. It's also quite hard. Not sure what could be done about it though, without making the game too easy.

Good work!

Robo Phone Home by Pastry chef 2026-05-01T11:56:24Z

Cute graphics and lovely tunes. The gameplay feels original and fits the theme well. I didn't get past the level with rotating satellites. At that point it felt there was too many moving pieces and perhaps randomness (or precise timing).

Good game, well done!

Signal Mage by Zhr 2026-04-30T17:39:37Z

I had some initial trouble figuring out how to put the papers down... :D But after that I think it was pretty nice. Good mood, nice art, jolly music. If anything, perhaps there could've been two different sounds depending whether you chose well or bad.

Good work!

Last Frequency by Catanus 2026-04-30T19:10:40Z

Good game. Kind of relaxing, despite the different challenges. The difficulty curve and pacing felt right. Only the resolving wave sound in aiming matrix was too loud for me. And it didn't occur to me to try and pause the game and adjust audio, other sounds were fine.

Nice work!

Small Among Storms by ShanzPro 2026-04-30T18:01:58Z

Very nice. I liked the atmosphere and audio visuals for all the dangers. I wonder if the frequency is random though. At one point it seemed I was just constantly getting danger after danger without any chance to progress in first level. That made me stop caring for the acorns. Maybe I was just impatient but at least I finished the game!

Good work.

Buller than Bull by gubo 2026-04-30T17:44:53Z

Nice! At first I didn't understand why I was failing right away but then it dawned on me that you don't start with the dodge. I guess the order of buttons (and maybe the colors?) was misleading me.

Good job.

No Service by Nathanial 2026-04-25T09:43:46Z

Good idea and nice platforming. I was bit confused how the signal worked, perhaps it could have progressed as you get closer to the optimal spot. Usually you do have less waves in the icon when there is no reception, right?

Decoder by Garaptic 2026-04-25T10:42:23Z

I liked it! Nice effects and interesting gameplay. Though I would say the difficulty ramps very quickly after the first day. I would prefer having more time to decipher the morse code. Now I had barely time to look at the message and then start decoding with UI (for some reason - was not recognized).

Good work!

EDIT: Where is the confirmation sound from?
