Cool game! I loved the sound and art, and the tutorial was very clear. The only issue I had was that the pogo slice did not always seem to bounce me despite hitting the spikes, and therefore I died very quickly. My best was around 46 seconds.

I love the music! The mechanics are interesting and graphics great. The tutorial is mostly clear. The buffs/debuffs remained unknown to me. I almost broke 1 minute!

Maybe you could swing the sword more often for intense bullet deflecting?

One of my favorites for sure.

124 seconds! The pogo timing is a bit unforgiving but other than that great game. My favorite so far

Took a bit to get the timing for the pogo, but I kept playing until I got at least 60 seconds. Good music and art style, also really good tutorial. Great job!

Love the concept, love the graphics, LOVE the music. Somewhat hard to control, in my opinion? I found the constant danger made it necessary to hold down the down arrow at almost all times to prepare for the next pogo. I think if it was a bit more forgiving, maybe some more platforms or something, it'd be well on it's way. Platforms wouldn't really mess with the game so much either considering the regular bullets. The player would still be on their feet.

This game feels really well-made overall. Everything about it screams quality! It's such a simple concept for a fantastic experience! My only advice would be to try and make the hit window for the pogo sword a little more usder friendly as it was possibly a bit too hard to time well? But otherwise, amazing!

Really well made game. Loved it

Hi there! :) I can't pass by and not to say that the software you use is a great choice! I've played the game and I’ll try to write down what I’ve found.

The music is good. It fits well, pleasant and loops well.

I think that what you have added a tutorial is a very good thing. It feels a little bit lengthy, but it prepared me well and calmed me down a bit.

Concerning about the gameplay, you know that this mechanic in Hollow Knight is one of most difficult? I just want to say that you’re maybe aiming for hardcore players.

The game plays well and smooth. I like it! I also like how ghosts look (I feel their struggles). The pixel art is simple yet works just fine, the game looks unique.

I have one suggestion that you may want to add a restart button when you lose the game, no need to move back to the main menu.

And from time to time when I strike the ground to jump up I feel like I hit it right, but I missed. Maybe some collision issue or I didn’t practice well I don’t know.

Overall, great entry. Well done!

Lovely. I think it has a potential for a longer game. I had good time playing your game and the music creates awesome atmosphere.

The only small detail suggestion would be that the sound of hitting bullets was a bit too mellow for me. Something harsher, maybe steel-like would be more satisfying for me. But, that's a small personal detail.

You made a great game.

The game is really good but the controls went against my usual muscle memory! 😆 I don't know what it was about them but with jump and slash being the same button I consistently used them at the wrong times. For me a seperate slash and jump would have been much easier to control.

The graphics, music and sound effects were really spot on. The music could be a touch quieter compared the the sfx but that's a minor gripe. They were very fitting to the game and the art style.

Overall very nice 👏

I loved your game!!! It's so addicting!!

I played Hollow Knight a lot, so I already knew what this mechanic was all about, but in your game I think it's a little more difficult: you have to hit closer to the spikes to be able to pogo on it. So I took a little while to get used to it. But when I finally mastered it, it was a very nice feeling! I felt like a ninja slashing through the bullets.

The difficulty progression was on-point. Removing the spikes as the game goes by is a very clever idea, as well as keeping the ghosts on the ceiling, making us pogo on the bullets, nice game design.

I think my only criticism will be the powerups. In the end, I get used to a certain rythm of pogoing and moving, so changing the gravity and the movespeed kind of broke that rythm and worked more like a debuff, so I ended up slashing through all of them xD.

The music is AWESOME!! It gets you pumped up to keep slashing, it's very good.

The art is beautiful, those pixel art shadows and lights are very well done.

Your game is inspiring. This is the type of game that I want to make: small scope on the mechanics and scenario, a very fun gameplay loop and lots of polishing with art and music.

Amazing game!!

I really enjoyed this one! I liked Hollow Knight, so this mechanic made me pretty excited to try this game out. The graphics and audio are good. It feels good to slash enemies and pogo off spikes. The only issue I had was that it was really easy to press attack too early and miss the pogo.

was seriously jammin' out to this one! music was killin' it! the game is really fun too, simple and polished.

Awesome game. Music was great, controls felt good, and it had just the right amount of challenge to it.

5 stars from me. Made it to ~50 seconds with my best highscore. Probably going to play again eventually

Good that you had time to make a clean tutorial. The concept is working well. I don't feel the theme much, apart the continuous changing level. Nice swinging music and good art. Even if the control is already good, there's perhaps a little more precision to give, and with the feedbacks to. Some animations would help. I really like the challenging LD with all the spikes, but I would say that it's a bit too difficult to begin like this. Because your LD is evolutive, it would be nice to start on a easier layout first. And the full ground Spikes would arrive at an advanced point. Anyway. Lot of potential with this base. With some polish it would be a very addictive game.
