LD46 — Keep it alive

You Have One Job by LeReveur 2020-05-02T02:27:02Z

A Simon game? But without the order to remember. It's adapted to the theme but it would be nice to see some changes that would happen on the plant creature. (Perhaps it happen much later and I was not able to see it ?) And more different subjects to keep alive. But the idea is interesting.

Busy Bee Business by HuvaaKoodia 2020-05-11T03:08:52Z

Difficult to keep this bee alive! ^^ I enjoy the contrast of zen mood and stress to manage a way for the bee. And I like the fact that we have to Keep energy while flying the less and find the best way to take the drops. The gameplay is simple and efficient. This kind of addictive ones. Graphics are good and control is intuitive. I spent good time while testing this game. Good job you two!

Fine Flowers by PietPtr 2020-04-28T05:19:29Z

Hello. on the html.5 link I cannot play the game correctly because there's too much zoom. I just see a half of the window and half of the painting.

Birdie Burglars by DDRKirbyISQ 2020-04-29T04:39:56Z

Congratulation you two! Very nice art style, and pretty good musics. The game play is very simple, but very smooth and easy to play. I like the mood and the humor. For a game jam entry, it's perfectly polished.

Grove Guardian by chaotikza 2020-05-11T03:47:10Z

I really like theses games made with Pico8. It remain me my amstrad CPC464. And show that it is possible to make interesting concepts with big limitations. The mood of your game is very nice. And the storyline is well in the theme. The growing land and seed system is very interesting. But yes, it's not easy to understand what to do and how to manage the inventory. Perhaps a more simple system of gameplay would be more adapted to the pixel art game style.

Sanity Sim - Keep your sanity alive by petitpois 2020-04-28T07:11:31Z

It's a good idea to mix the theme with the lock down situation. All the feedback are clear, and it's interesting to try the different activities in this closed areas while the days are increasing. Sometime I don't understand clearly the balance between food end sport activity. Simple, a bit repetitive, but efficient.

Corruption by frenchie 2020-04-28T12:50:46Z

Not really in the theme (the heart could not be damaged) but it's good to be sure to stay alive in this kind of difficult boss situation. The patterns with the hands are very interesting. At one time I didn't have patience to continue after always falling down in the up right corner when the head is up left. Perhaps the jump could be a bit polished. But I had fun to test it.

Tetralon by frosty 2020-05-02T02:36:25Z

Interesting mechanic. This game is not at all in the theme, but I had a bit fun to play it. It's clean and the strategy is good. Need a little polish (the sound is very poor) to be a good little game.

Morose by 100th_Coin 2020-05-11T04:18:54Z

Whaou. What a game for a Jam! The art is very cute, animation is smooth, dialogues are great and the mechanic is very well managed. The system of combination is very interesting. Not easy to understand how to manage the seeds for special flowers, but it keep the curiosity alive to try it ^^ I love the characters and a fight system to keep the insects away is very clever. Congratulation!

Inkazimor by bellatrion 2020-04-28T06:47:05Z

This game is well in the theme. I like the first funny dialog with the mask spirit. Good introduction. But a little long when you play it again. It would be nice to let the player skip it then. nice simple pixel art and ambiance. I like the idea of changing from vegetarian to meat eater.

Affordable Pet Care by domrein 2020-05-05T05:00:02Z

This is a cute idea well in the theme. The pixel art is pleasant and there's a variety of animals. No easy to remember to which belong some animals who look the same. But then it's an interesting memory game ;-)

Raiders of the Rural Realm by SpiRiTs 2020-04-27T12:44:30Z

The game is a bit challenging for me. There's many different events to fight. (Little bit like in my game, and I know it's a lot of work). Graphic is simple and nice.

Tablet Force by AdamV 2020-04-27T13:09:43Z

Very nice music. The ambiance is well done, with just few elements. Like the mechanics and interactions. I don't feel well the theme. The LD is perhaps a little bit too big for a Jam, to understand the whole game. Anyway, good job.

Heart Break by gnx 2020-04-28T12:59:45Z

Congratulation. It's an very "simple" and addictive game. One button and lot of possibilities to manage how to destroy the ghost and keep energy. I love the progressive song. Definitively, A good simple mechanic. That's the most important in a game :)

Egg Mama by Enver Arco 2020-04-29T05:23:16Z

Very pleasing game. Ambiance is sweet and characters are funny. The game play is very original and well thinking for the theme. If the control would be better it would be a perfect entry (The movements of the bird are a bit flabby and it make the game very difficult.) And rather than an infinite jump, just an up movement would be enough, in my humble opinion. Otherwise it's very pleasant to manage and take care of the nest. Congratulation! (By the way, I made a game close to yours :) A bird who have to take care of chicks. But the mood and system is different)

Hell Yeah! by ryzy27 2020-05-05T06:02:19Z

Very nice pixel art. The mood of the party is very well done. The mini-game is interesting. I write "mini-game" and not "mini-games" because the concept is always the same with different skins. I don't expect more for a Game Jam, of course, but if ever you will continue to work on it it would be nice to have different concepts. I like the idea that you are in different moment (the bar, dance-floor etc...) and you have to keep an eye on the whole party, not to be stuck in a place :) Congratulation to the team!

Mutiny by Cataractar 2020-05-04T03:55:23Z

Nice idea! Love the mechanic. Very simple and very efficient. The energy bars and resources are working very well. It's funny to see the compromise between let the people taking rest and put them as long as they can on work. It's cool to let new sailors coming on the boat on the trip. And manage the rhum and food ^^ A very pleasant little game well in the theme. And the tutorial is very well explained. It would be perfect with more feedback to understand that the boat is moving and better graphics and sounds. Congratulation, you three LudumDare sailors! :)

Keep Joe Alive by Sanguis 2020-04-29T05:55:14Z

First of all, veery nice pixel art. I love the graphic mood. The game system is not original and not much in the theme, but very pleasant to play, to see the different obstacles to avoid. And the character's animation are great. Good job, you two!

The Fire by FredFilo 2020-04-29T06:09:54Z

Good idea. I like the mood on the island, and the pixel art is very nice. The monkey who pee on the fire is a funny idea. It need some feedbacks when you put the wood in the fire, or when you try to drive away the monkeys. Even if the gameplay is boring (too much Monkeys are coming, and it's always the same action to do) it's a well made entry.

The Call of the Unicore by sndr 2020-05-07T05:07:01Z

My scroll wheel is broken now ^^ Yes I know theses cases are rare, but It would be nice to have other keys to switch between the items. Despite this problem that block me to enjoy the gameplay, I can feel the mood of these game and it's a pretty good top down shooter. Movements are very smooth. The level design is efficient, and the pixel art is awesome. The sound too, but perhaps sound of shoot to high. Anyway. Congratulation to the team. It is a very well polished game for a Jam!

Eggy Roll by RomaRogov 2020-04-29T06:21:20Z

Very nice music and sounds. The 3D art is good and clean. (Perhaps it would be good to make the stars collectibles in 3D too). Not much in the theme but the game is interesting. We feel the fragility of the egg, and it's good to manage a smooth way to avoid to break it. (And small joke : The bottom of the ocean is very hot to make fried egg directly ^^). Congrat.

Hope by Darylsteak 2020-04-21T04:56:07Z

Very Well made. Very clean. I love the ambiance. The intro with the train. A little bit rigid to play. I found the ladders a bit weird (its like you jump and then wait he is falling down slowly). And It would be nice to have a checkpoint after we have done the first step with the key. I'm stuck on the puzzle with the two buttons. 4 seconds is very short ^^ But i'm pretty bad with this kind of game. Anyway, good job!

Eat it by Oune 2020-04-30T12:16:11Z

I like the idea of interact with the two part of the plant. Graphics are simple and pleasing. Even if it's not much in the theme, the concept of eating the good colors and ovoid bombs and bad colors is very interesting. But most of the time it's almost impossible to avoid to eat because some of the insects are coming at the same time. I think the tempo must be polished, and let some colors needed appears more frequently. But it's a nice concept.

Keep Moving by Robin49 2020-05-02T02:49:58Z

This game is not really in the theme (Keeping a character alive is the base of almost all the videogames ^^) but it's a nice idea that you have to keep the character moving. I played the HTML5 version. A bug is that when you press ENTER at the beginning, lot of text are skipped. Another one is that you cannot restart when there's a game over. Anyway, the difficulty is increasing well between the levels. After some polish it could be a good simple game.

Perish alive by Lyrcaxis 2020-04-29T04:58:02Z

Very nice music and art (I see that more time will be required to polish the whole game but it's enough to understand the intention). I like the idea that you have to manage the sea ship with 3 characters. I couldn't finish the ship (This is not my kind of game taste). But the idea of building a ship and take care of it in the see match the theme. Little problem : After the game over there's a blank screen.

Kaoamaru Kaiju by SplitPainter 2020-05-08T02:23:56Z

I love the idea of many different endings. The introduction is well made (Camera movement a bit rigid, but it give a nice presentation of the space). This interactive story is very well in the theme and I love the mood and the purpose. I didn't understand what else to do than pressing spacebar when it was asked for it. But it's a nice atmosphere, and that's enough.

Wanted: Alive! by Dan Colman 2020-05-09T04:10:43Z

Very good idea. Well in the theme and very polished for a Jam. Congratulation to the team. The game play is really fun. It's a solid base and it would be nice to have more levels and more features.

Say Aloe To My Little Friend by boyTurnedRobot 2020-04-27T13:50:56Z

Whaou. Well made. And there's a clear tutorial at the beginning. Pixel art, control, animation and audio. All is well polished for a jam!

Kims little shop of Convenience by Ripter 2020-05-03T04:08:51Z

Thanks for the statue :) How do you know I look exactly like this ^^. I like the mood of this game. It seem there's nothing to do now but look promising. I couldn't take food in the shop to give to the monster. The map is a bit too big for this kind of prototype. No enough substance to give more feedback. Good continuation!

Keep It Afloat by ZeGGamer 2020-05-07T05:19:05Z

Despite the fact that you have to kill birds to keep a balloon alive (I don't like to kill birds. In theses times, they are much more important than a balloon. ^^), you have made a great addictive gameplay. The control is very good (Using W and S to aim) while and keeping the fire on. It work well. And I had fun to play it. Congratulation.

Alien EMT by Zypo 2020-04-30T09:53:02Z

The idea is interesting and well in the theme. Graphic is simple and understandable. And the system of view and zoom is clean. I took time to identify the aliens at the beginning (As some people already said, the clouds are hiding the view many times, and the shadow is perhaps too black). Then it is a bit difficult to move on the roads. After all, is it really required to make roads when there's flat field all around and after all you are moving a spaceship. I know that something like a labyrinth is required for the gameplay, and to have a bit challenge to go to the hospital, but then it would be nice to move very easily on the roads and have other events that can disturb you. In fact, it is a good basis that need to be polished.

Final Flower: Petals of a Lost Age by Scott Steffes 2020-05-11T05:14:47Z

One of the best "in the theme" game I have tried. The idea of throwing the plant in the air and taking it back is just perfect. We feel the sensation of the fragility very well, and it is so cool when we take the plant back. (Lot of breaking glass in the level 2 ^^ Then I could manage it better). The control and level design is well adapted. So good to make many levels in a Jam. Congratulation!!!

Sunlit by palsina 2020-05-08T03:07:20Z

We can stay easily taking care of this tree in this relaxing mood. Nice concept and beautiful execution. The colors feedback of the leaves and the branch are very clear. I speed good time taking care of this tree, helping it to grow up. A very good entry :)

Zoo keeper by Team-on 2020-05-10T02:21:26Z

I love minigames. And there's a lot of variety of them in yours. With very nice graphics and sounds. The gameplay is always well adapted to the animals. (The idea with the the owl to ovoid to fall down is funny). A (very) little bug : There were 2 Words "Lose" and "Win" one on the other after cleaning the crocodile teeth just a bit after time (But "lose" won ^^). I had fun spending time testing your minigames. Thank you and congratulation to the team!

Space Girl Thibi Feed Me by Elnu 2020-04-21T06:29:27Z

The controls are very simple and cleans (Good idea the corner slope to jump). Good pixel art and Music. The action is a little bit repetitive but we don't expect lot more for a jam. Congratulation! my best score 143 sec :)

Friendly Fire by very dark lord 2020-05-03T05:08:10Z

Whaou! Love the dialogues answers possibilities. I didn't try the weird or funny response at the beginning in case this block the progress. But then I felt it's like Monkey Island, just for fun. You cannot be blocked. It must take lot of time to work on it (But I see you are a very big team. It help, even if it should not be easy to organize the project I guess, so you managed it very well ^^). Camera management and Direction en scene : Perfect! I like the humor. Dancing for a tree. Haha ^^ The idea to help tree to procreate before having some wood is very cool. The pixel art is so nice with varied moods. Love all the characters. ( Taking the stone master was awesome! A floating stone. Haha) Humor (Flying multi jump) Dancing for the water. And the end is fabulous and make a lot of sense with the theme! No bugs found. It is only difficult to stop the fire, because the stressing music is covered the rhythm of the other one. And for me The jump sound is too present. But it's a perfect entry ! Congratulation to the team! Nice job!

House Plant Hero by dualtagh 2020-05-03T02:46:27Z

I have never seen plants that need so much water! This small game is challenging. At the end, a little boring, but this simple concept is well made, I had a bit fun, and the pixel art very minimalist is very interesting (Close to Atari 2600) with the 8bit music too. It is a cool simple little game.

The Dragon's Curse by Aditya Kumar 2020-05-07T04:41:28Z

This kind of game is not easy to make in a Jam, with lot of text dialogues to manage. Congratulation to the team! You have done it very well. The mood is very good and the graphics, even if it look always like the same town (But in a Jam we don't expect more) are nice. It is a promising game. I like the fact that you have to find your path from towns to towns with different stories.

Mammoth Expedition by Abdurrahman Khallouf 2020-05-09T02:59:35Z

The mood of this game is very good and even if at first we can thought there's almost nothing to do , the variety of the events make the decisions not so easy to take. And it seems not easy to manage so much text. Congratulation to the team. The interface is clean, and we can enjoy a good time in this cold place.

Space Ranger by LuCecyl 2020-05-11T05:34:35Z

Nice idea and art style. The tutorial introduction is clean and clear. The mechanic is interesting, but perhaps a bit difficult to manage. The movements are a bit low (But after all it's an astronaut ^^) and I had difficulties with the lack of precision because there were lags on my laptop. But I could see that the gameplay is original and well in the theme, and sound design is good too. Congratulation to the team!

Keep the campfire alive by 1257th or nothing 2020-04-22T14:33:19Z

Not very easy to move the character on the platforms, perhaps the level design must be a bit adjusted. but the gameplay is simple and interesting. The night ambiance is well rendered. And completely in the theme. Nice job!

Nature of Fear by Omickron 2020-05-11T03:27:20Z

On my laptop the framerate was very low, so I don't know if it is because of this, but When the character is walking, he go quickly on the border of the screen and is not centered while scrolling. Anyway, I could have done the actions and follow the directions of the text. Interesting atmosphere and gameplay. Animation of the character is well made and the graphic is well in the nightmare sensation. Need polish and sound ambiance, but it's a pleasant entry.

EDO by Jozef 2020-04-29T05:04:53Z

Congratulation to the team! This game is very well polished for a Jam entry. The idea is in the theme, and the way to keep you ship alive is very funny (I love the ideas of the ice cream and the way to catch the objects and characters reaction...). There's a lot of thinks to do and that's very nice. I think you have a solid original game play.

Hungy Hungy Dwagons by cheesepencil 2020-05-08T02:47:10Z

Very good idea well in the theme. The fact that you have to transform people in meat, and then avoid to burn the meat for the babies dragons is cool and the gameplay work very well. It's a simple addictive mechanic. The control of the dragon is soft. Art and sound are pleasant, and you must had fun to make the voice of the baby dragons. I laugh when I heard it the first time. ^^ Congratulation.

platformEGG by Tricky_Fat_Cat 2020-05-05T05:33:21Z

Very good game. I love the pixel art and music/sounds, and the level design is very good too, but perhaps the difficulty progression is a bit high. Because there's different levels it would be nice to let the player choose the last level he was playing after he die. And perhaps let the possibility of using UP to jump (I find it more comfortable than Spacebar). Anyway, it's a very well made polished game for a jam! Congratulation to the team!

Baby: Don't Hurt Me by Eroar 2020-04-27T13:35:28Z

Nice character animations. The concept of taking care of a baby is well in the theme. Perhaps a lack of special event with the baby. The movements of the character are a bit tough. But it's nice to made many vary level in a Jam :)

Tamagojamy by Akronsus 2020-04-28T06:29:47Z

Nice pixel gameboy art graphics. Yes, tamagoshi is well adapted for the theme. Unfortunately, I am not able to understand what to do. It would be nice to have more information about the buttons, and how to interact. And when Tamagojamy it seems there's no way to start again... But the different screens look interesting.

FIREGUARD by Puszkee 2020-04-30T10:11:28Z

A very nice entry. The pixel art and the mood with music are very good. And the control too. All the game is very clean. Only this bug that you know... Sometime there's no spawn of enemies. And the forest is perhaps too big. One time, I was exploring it and I couldn't find the fire again (But perhaps it was consumed and the game was stuck). Anyway, congratulation to the team. You mad a very good job!

Catch the Worm by Sprotex 2020-04-22T15:06:06Z

The environment is big, and it's a nice concept, very much according to the theme. But the control is very difficult. the direction of the vision is moving very quickly, bit rough. (There's a bug of infinite soundloop at the game over). I like the music.

Slime Mama by Jack Kaloger 2020-04-21T06:47:46Z

I love the pixel art. The game is well in the theme. And I like the multitude of objects, and the details like you're putting slime when you touch walls ^^ But the action is repetitive and character difficult to control. (Changing speed) I'm stuck many times. Anyway, really a goo job for the jam. Congrat!

Don't taste the lava by mira 2020-04-22T14:42:16Z

This is an interesting variation of Tetris. I like the idea that you don't have to fit perfectly the shapes, but find a way to cover the surface. As per the theme I find it a little off. The graphic is poor but the level design is very well made. Congrats!

Pirabbit by TimeTravelHamster 2020-05-11T04:33:48Z

It's a classical game, but you made it well. The control is very easy and smooth and the increase of the difficulty is good. (Perhaps just the easy part of the beginning a bit too long). I love the pixel art and the mood. Even if I don't find it well in the theme (in every standard game you don't have to loose you character ^^) I enjoyed to play it. This is a clean little game.

Revenge of the Woods by Robonaut121 2020-05-03T03:45:27Z

This is a nice story completely in the theme. I like the introduction, and the mood. I like the depth of field made with the different high of pixels (In this way, the trees need more definition). The idea of attracting the enemies near the tree then embody it is very good. It would be nice to have a bit of acceleration of the spirit when you are in a inclination of the ground. The game need to be polished but you have made a very good base.

The Last Guardian by civmaniac 2020-05-04T02:51:47Z

The cut paper art style is very nice. And the game completely in the theme. The intro puts us well in the mood, and even if there's many buttons, it's easy to take control of the guardian. I like to see how the tree is getting better (I have done the same kind of evolution in my game) and very cool to see the cactus helping the guardian. And I like the fact that we must "ask" for the clouds to come to give water. The game is not so easy (Perhaps more feedback and precision would be required to understand when the enemies touch us and we touch them). I had fun to test this little cute game. Thanks and congratulation you two :)

Keep it alive by PD Dev 2020-05-03T03:59:55Z

It's an interesting design of classical game, with the level design like a snake with all the enemies around. Even if it is not in theme (Keeping the enemies alive, if you cannot do anything against them ^^. Or perhaps i miss something?). The easy mode is very easy, The challenging one very difficult. This small game concept is working well. With polish and more features it could be really good.

Florence and the Alien by joewolf 2020-04-29T05:37:34Z

I love this kind of gameplay where you have to manage a way for an other character. It's very funny to see the alien growing up. Movements are a bit slippy, but it's not a problem to enjoy to play. Haha. At the first time I fed the alien too much (I had made the same system in my game, as a bird, if you feed too much the chicks ^^). It's a pleasing small game. Congrat.

Zorla's Tavern by Nexushub 2020-04-27T12:25:35Z

This is not in my taste, but I can say that the graphics and animations + introduction are very well made. Looking at the theme, it seems a little bit off. Not very original in my humble opinion, But the finishing is very clean. Congrat!

Keep Me Breathing by AstroLabe 2020-05-05T05:45:26Z

Very nice idea completely in the theme. I love the contrast of taking care of a plant in a spaceship to survive. The art and music and controls are perfect. And the tutorial at the beginning is very clear. I didn't find any problems in this small game. Very well polished. It's like a finished one :) Congratulation, you three.

Keep the memory Alive by Ninsky 2020-04-28T04:19:33Z

The idea fit completely the theme. I like the map system and the fact that we have to be aware in many part of the Brain. Graphics are nice but it feels more that we are in a forest than a brain. A bit difficult, but it's a good entry. :)

Pogo by Motley 2020-04-30T12:36:13Z

Not in the theme, but I really like this kind of old school games. The art is well in the 8bits spirit, and the gameplay is easy to understand and original. It's difficult but addictive. Nice little game.

Marx And His Dog by KeyVote 2020-05-07T03:58:58Z

This is a good try. Finish to make a playable game is not easy. I like the two main characters. But there's a lot of problems with the camera and the jump that make the game unplayable (or very difficult ^^). The jump go very high and the camera move very slowly... So we loose the focus on the characters and in this kind of game the control is the most important... But keep making games! You will make something better next time!

Tepkluth and the scared one by Achiliuus 2020-05-03T03:11:22Z

Very nice atmosphere and the story is completely in the theme. And you have made different levels, that's nice for a Jam. I find not clear where to click at the beginning. It would be nice to have more feedback. But good job, you two. There's a good design on this game.

Keep Him Alive by Convg 2020-05-09T03:50:34Z

The graphics are simple and clean. Movement is very fluid, control is great with the direction of mouse position and I like how the ball you have to protect is following you. Otherwise the mechanic is very simple but efficient. It's a nice base for a game. The only thing that bothered me was when you destroy the enemies : I think the shake camera is too strong. It's like an earthquake ^^ Anyway, it is a pleasant clean entry. Well done.

Letter to Thomas by LouieJams 2020-05-11T04:52:48Z

First of all, the pixel art mood is amazing! And the sound environment fit it very well. The storyline is very good and we have time to enjoy reading the text while there's not a lot of things to do in the screens. I find the animation very nice, and it's pleasant to move the character, but I don't understand why you only let the possibility to make ridiculous jump at very short moment when there's a danger. In this way, I find the game artificially difficult. But anyway, this is the destiny of the character to fall down at the end ^^. In fact, it's a good narrative experience, and a very good entry.

DON`T DIE STAY ALIVE! by PenguinBob 2020-05-09T03:58:20Z

I really enjoy theses little concepts. Often, the more simple the mechanic is, the more we have fun to play it. And this is the case with this little cute game. I would say it's not really in the theme for me, because almost all the game consist to keep your character alive. But you have made an addictive game. And the art is clean. Nice entry.

Apple Panick by peterfiftyfour 2020-05-10T02:34:17Z

A nice small game with cute graphics. I like the music too. It's a quiet place to grow trees and flower ^^ No stress. I like the way you can take use and drop objects. But perhaps planting seeds would require a bigger trigger : We need lot of precision sometime. Anyway. It's a very good entry well in the theme. Congratulation!

Fading Ember by Brelx 2020-05-05T05:20:24Z

Nice ambiance and pixel art. A bit difficult because control are slippery. And it took me a long time to understand that I could use the left mouse button to fight enemies. You should write the key controls somewhere. The first platform part is not adapted to the movements and it's annoying to make it again. Need some more respawn points. But with more polish it must be a very nice game with a good mood.

The last plant by AdrianKrawczyk 2020-05-11T05:01:01Z

Funny pixel art. The game is very basic and a bit boring, but it match the theme and the control is working well. A good first entry ;)

The Adventures of Eggbert by BattleCat 2020-04-21T07:30:56Z

Simple and efficient. Before playing, the screenshots remind me the old game chuckie egg. I like the idea of keeping a long time the eggs. This kind of game would be adapted for a infinite scroll (If you go out at right, you appear at left) My score : 1296 ^^

tiriplici by Trexxak 2020-05-07T04:28:30Z

The idea is interesting. Not really in the theme, but I like this kind of special main characters. And the art style and animation are cute (You made it on paper first isn't it?). I played the bug fixed version. The game is very difficult, because the movements are very stiff. Time of reaction of the toaster is long and then he go very quickly. It look like they are making teleportation. It is like the frame rate is very low. But the mood of this game is interesting.

tiriplici by Trexxak 2020-05-08T02:33:12Z

@trexxak I understand what you mean. Don't worry. I just wrote not REALLY in the theme. Because for me, if you have to keep something alive, you are not able to move this thing, but to take care of it. Very nice art with only a mouse. Congratulation.

Guardy_Bird by Matootsy 2020-04-21T07:56:36Z

thank for your feedbacks, @aerosoap and @slimbun :) Yes, right. I think the difficulty is a bit hard. Will try decrease it later.

Guardy_Bird by Matootsy 2020-04-21T10:43:17Z

Thanks for your nice feedbacks! I am glad that you find the vibes I wanted to project. A small natural environment that you must care about. And keep it alive in the roughness of the city. I am too tired to test other games today (the jam was intense) but I will do it as soon as possible :)

Guardy_Bird by Matootsy 2020-04-27T12:13:35Z

@moolamu : Thanks for your feedback. I have changed the way to fly. Now it will be less stiff (I hope). @hiimbarney : Thanks a lot :) I'm glad you found this event with the human. I add one new event in the game. @sprotex : Thanks too :) I have changed a bit the controls. Now when you go down, the bird will increase his speed.

There would be more enhancementn to do, but for now I will leave it like this. I will only work again on it if there's a big bug :)

Guardy_Bird by Matootsy 2020-04-30T08:52:21Z

Thanks for your feedback, @jin9310 and @zypo . The bird stuck on the ground was a very bad bug! Normally it's fixed. Zypo, if you test the game again, can you tell me if the bug is not there anymore? Today I made a better congratulation screen :)

Guardy_Bird by Matootsy 2020-05-03T12:05:11Z

@duke and @huvaakoodia, thanks for your feedback. Yes I simply forgot the S Key to take the fruits. I made an update :)

Can you look after my plants? by the_martijn 2020-04-28T06:58:02Z

The idea and introduction is good and well in the theme. All my plants die on day 19. It could be a good tutorial to know how to take care about plants. I like the concept. Perhaps it would be nice to have a bit more feedback on the leaves, to understand better if they need or not water.

Social Distancing For LadyBugs by mehrdadsh 2020-05-07T04:52:13Z

A simple concept well made. All is clean and working well. The weird thing is that we have to kill so much bees and they are so important in the nature environment... Why the ladybugs need so much attention ? ^^ Anyway. Perhaps you need to give feedback when we kill a LadyBug by mistake (When don't feel it when the game is over). So, even if I don't like to kill bees the idea to manage the numbers of sprites to keep some other safe is interesting. You made a clean finished game, congratulation!

Mr. Cheesy by SAVVU 2020-05-04T03:07:07Z

It's almost a complete finished game! All is perfect in this concept except that it's not really in the theme. The menu, the pixel art, the Level progression are very polished. And the idea to be a cheese of a giant cheese grater is very funny (The fat mouse behind you too) ^^ Congratulation. It had a lot of fun to play it.

Keep Pit Alive! by BunnyDen 2020-05-04T03:28:08Z

The animations of the horse are very well made. Congratulation for that! The choice of moving a jumping horse in galleries is special. I felt very congested. But it is original. The gameplay is very classical and not really in the theme but it's working to keep our attention alive. I think some polish would be required for the character movements (A bit slippery) and some contrast between background and middleground would give more clarity for the path. Anyway. It's a good entry. It was nice to test it. (Yes, the horses are so fond of apples. The cannot stop to eat ;) )

CaveFlame by Pretzol 2020-04-27T14:19:24Z

This game is very special. A little bit difficult to understand what is happening and how to navigate at the beginning. The atmosphere is worrying and well made. The only thing I have done is giving paper to the fire, then a creature kill me. Seems interesting, but I don't understand what to do with the pipe...

Plant Man by Broken Robot Studios 2020-05-03T02:58:30Z

Interesting world. The main character remind me a mr Man character ^^. The gameplay is perhaps a bit blurred, and the movement is very fluffy. It's very difficult to jump over the ennemies. But there's an interesting mechanic that could be nice with some improvements.

Package Protectors by AeroSoap 2020-04-21T08:05:25Z

Like this kind of concept, even if it's too difficult for me ^^ I crash very quickly. The idea of playing on a school notebook is going well with this kind of game.

SAVE THE DINOS! by marcusnystrand 2020-05-03T06:19:13Z

A simple mechanic well in the theme. It's funny to see the male and female dinosaur making kids dino. And we really want to see more and more of them. That's the addictive part. The pixel art is simple and clean. It's a good entry! A little bit difficult, but I had fun to test it.

Save the torch! by eduardogacn 2020-04-29T04:23:10Z

I love this entry. Very well in the theme. The idea that you must take care of the fire, but use it as a weapon, and avoid to touch the fire shards if you don't have the fire in hand, that's veeery nice. Difficulty is perhaps a bit high. In the level 3 the fire go quickly down. But it's a very interesting feature. One time the fire was blocked up right in the corner after throwing it. Otherwise I don't see any problem. Smooth controls, good music. very very good job!

Spoon by Cadstor 2020-04-28T07:23:55Z

It's a classical non-stop running game. A little bit too easy and boring, but the mood is interesting, and funny with the ostrich behind you and the egg in the spoon. Simple and efficient. (Hey in the desert, the egg will be cooked quickly, no? :D)

Eggsploration by ChickenCastle 2020-04-21T07:49:14Z

I like the pixel art, character and eggs. The game is based on an simple effective gameplay mechanic. Only the character controls are a bit stiff. You made many levels! Congrat. That's nice for a gamejam :)

LD47 — Stuck in a loop

Crazy Looper by LeReveur 2020-10-09T10:18:07Z

I like this kind of clean simple little games. This is the kind of games where you don't clearly know why it's addictive. But most of the time the simplest concepts are the most efficient. I find an easy way to have a landmark for managing the strenght : the mouse cursor ;-) And visually, at the end of each level, it's a neat representation of something stuck in a loop. Nice.

Rail by reheated 2020-10-23T20:07:34Z

A clean game! The simplicity of the design is good for this kind of game. The puzzles are easy but efficient, and because it's randomly generated, it's a technical success. Congrat! The mix between shoot game and puzzle is special, but interesting and this give the challenging part. Good entry!

Cyber Blob by gogo199432 2020-10-09T09:32:43Z

Yes, very good 3D art and audio atmosphere. Even if the theme is not really present (A close labyrinth is a standard), The ambience is very grim and the presence of the monster add a bit of stress at the beginning (But after figured out there's only one, it's easy to escape from him). First I didn't see very well the buttons. But once I activated one, the others were easy to find. So not really in the theme, but good work on the art for a Jam ;-)

Awesome Ludum Boat Race by mvasko2 2020-10-25T16:54:30Z

Simple and efficient. The kind of game to play with other people for sure. The control is working well. Not very easy. With better graphics and perhaps some others features (things to avoid on the river, bonus to take) and audio, it could be a small fun family game.

Time Break by Ivan Garcia Filho 2020-10-25T19:01:51Z

Nice ambient. The 3D art is clean and the character is moving well. But I find the Level Design a bit confuse. It's not easy to understand where we can progress with the jump on the border. In my humble opinion it need more clear paths. And sometimes the whole part of the ground disappear.(Perhaps because of the clip camera settings?). Anyway, the clock and the effects at the end are very well made. Then the concept of going back with new elements poping make sense with the theme. You have a good concept. With some gameplay improvement and some work on the LD, it must be a very cool game!

Loop Wood Shire by C64Gamer 2020-10-18T17:36:56Z

Good ambient. But I find this game a little bit boring. We always have to push the numbers in the same order (I know, it's for the theme...). The sounds could be more smooth to fit more the music when we press the keys numbers. Anyway. It's working without bugs. And that's good.

VintageTime by maskinmask 2020-10-24T08:55:54Z

Perfect concept. All is matching. Art, choice of musics, gameplay. At first I thought it would be too easy, but the curve of difficulty is really well made. The last level where we have to keep a piece to the end is very interesting. The only complain is that it would be nice to have a restart option. I know this is your way to match the theme, but it's annoying to wait the end of the music to start again. Anyway, you made a very polish and addictive game! Bravo!

Fountain Of Death by sawtan 2020-10-17T08:16:58Z

I don't feel at all the theme. It's a classical puzzle game. I like the clean pixel art, and the animation of the character is well made. The music is good and fit well the ambience. The puzzles are very clever. Perhaps some feedbacks problems : in my humble opinion, you have to make the visual of the button different if it need more weight to be activated. And the crate is not moving well if we move it on the small wood trapdoor. The LD is sometimes very harsh with the platform (beginning of level 5 for exemple) and the jump don't react always on the border. So it's not very smooth. But I enjoyed to solve theses levels. Good job, guys.

Niki the Ghost by interstateeight 2020-10-24T10:51:03Z

Interesting memory game. I like this simple mechanic. It could be addictive with more reactivity and polish and feedback. The fantom is very slow and it's boring to wait that he reach a tile to go to another. I don't feel the theme, because restarting levels is the base of almost all videogames. Anyway. This kinf of mechanic could be addictive with improvement on the whole design.

C - O - I - I - L by Ace17 2020-10-22T12:12:30Z

Nice ambience. And the sound is adding a lot on it.I like the effects too. But I didn't had patience to find my way in this repetitive labyrinth. Really stuck in the loop! ^^ So I would say that art and movements are good. Now You need a good gameplay and more variety.

Twist Turn Shoot Burn by gamepopper 2020-10-25T16:07:47Z

This is the kind of game where all is perfectly polished. For a jam it's really well made! Simple and efficient. And it's completely in the theme. The control is perfect. Very addictive. I was surprised to discover that we can even slow down and speed up with the LT and RT buttons! The effects are sooo good. Only one "problem" sometimes some big courses paths are a bit out of screen. Otherwise it's a complete clean entry.

Tempus Locus by MSiddeek 2020-10-23T12:05:20Z

Whaou! 72 hours to make a so polish and clever game! Congratulation! It took me a long time to understand the mechanic, I didn't understood that the record start when you begin to throw the ray. But then I enjoyed the variety of level you made. I was blocked a long time on the "Evade" Level. Then the "Reflect" one was easy. The good thing is that the order to push the doors buttons is not so important because there's a loop ^^ Very clean direction and implementation. All is perfect to me. The mood, the pixel art, movement, music... One of the best entry i have seen.

Loop Invader by Ale 2020-10-17T19:50:14Z

First time I tried the game I couldn't write anything in the white box. I had to reload the page to be able to do it. Your game is very interesting and clever. At the beginning I could identify directly the Bad ball in the first level. Then it was more difficult because with the white box and my french keyboard it was a mess to write something. But it's a very good concept.

LichLoop by Abregado 2020-10-11T17:39:58Z

I like this kind of puzzle game. The fact that you are making paths for differents characters is perhaps not enough to match completely the theme, but this is a very good concept anyway. The retro style is clean. In level 4 I found this bug where the two characters knock out when they are close, even if the respective paths don't overlay. But whith some improvements it must be a nice small game.

SnowTrip by GlacierEclipse 2020-10-25T16:46:29Z

Nice minimal pixel art. The mood is good. It's not easy to take control of the character but it's interesting to see that only an environment could be dangerous. I don't feel so well the loop theme, because here "loop" could be called "level" but the mechanic is really interesting. I like the fact that the level are randomly generated. (Ooops one time I was trapped up left!). Anyway it's a good entry.

Around by mahalis 2020-10-14T19:43:08Z

A Very simple game, but the view is very special. It's funny to see the path behind on this strange view of an infinite loop. The game is working well. Perhaps a little lack of reaction when we want to change direction that make difficult to avoid obstacles some time. But it's a good entry. Simple and efficient.

Loop2Loop by A-Flat Miner Studios 2020-10-11T19:19:32Z

The colored neon & partticules visual is very nice. And the music/sound match very well. I like the shapes created with the paths on the background. Here the loops are only visual and there's lack of impact on the gameplay. But it's fun to have 3 different ways to play based on the same principle. Good job!

Solivagant by RafaelGiordanno 2020-10-25T17:13:17Z

It's a enjoyable simple puzzle game. The control is working well and the art is clean and efficient, like the music. It would be good to have a different color when the rectangles are in a slot. Then we can understand better the ones we can push. The puzzles are a bit repetitive and I don't feel well the theme. But for a Jam it's a nice small well finished game.

CRISPR BOB by Sol Roo 2020-10-19T19:28:18Z

Very nice puzzle game. I already played some games based on this concept of programmable loops moves, and There's always some little differences. In yours, I like the fact that we have energy. And the mood is very cute. Bob is moving nicely and I like the sticky effect between blocks. Pretty deformation shader. The music is too repetitive, but smooth. And it's good to have finished the whole interface + save of stars. Congrat to the team!

Karma Farmer by Plasmonic 2020-10-19T19:09:12Z

Very nice concept. The idea that we have to avoid the loop of reincarnation and achieve enlightenment. I like the the representation of the temple and the different places where the monks can be. The differents animations are well made. But I don't understand what I can do to break the loop. They always die, wherever I can put them (and sometimes I cannot move them). Sorry I don't understand the gameplay of this game at all. Perhaps I need to meditate and find enlightenment in real life to be able to play your game...

The Myth of Sisyphos by gilborn 2020-10-15T13:24:32Z

Nice atmosphere. I like how the level is build, with the mountain and the rock to push. The control of the character is good, but with the rock, feeling are always different. Sometimes it's easy to push even in a hard slope, sometimes the character is just stuck. I like the music even if the notes are sometimes out of tune. Good small concept.

Loopy The Robot by blubberquark 2020-10-24T16:33:13Z

I like the design and animation of the robot. Perhaps the movement is a bit low. The mechanic is working but I would say that it's a bit unfair not to have an overview of the level. I think the camera don't need to be so close to the character. At the beginning it's like a blinded programmation. Nice entry anyway.

Ribbon by 100th_Coin 2020-10-12T19:50:02Z

Lot of innovation in this game! It took me time to move with the ribbon but once I get it, it was just delightful to navigate between the loop and the clipped ribbon. Good mood. Congratulation! To implement this crazy gameplay on a gamejam is already an achievement. But there's good art and music too!

Time to Act by Vodzik 2020-10-15T12:55:33Z

OK! I could reactivate the generator then I was able to open all the doors. I Found a number on a table. I really enjoy this game and the minimalist 3D art is very nice. But I don't have patience to restart again and again to see what I have to do... With this feature, you are completely in the theme, no doubt about it, but in my humble opinion it's a bit annoying to do the same things again and again. But the atmosphere, interactions, music/sound and ambient are well made! Congratulation guys!

Precious Pergatory by LordKawaii 2020-10-20T16:44:26Z

I like the character and the ghost. And the music+sound is giving a nice mood. But the control is awful. There's a lot of work to do on it. But it's a good base. With improvements on the movements it could be interesting.

Mind the Gap by coderTrevor 2020-10-17T08:34:18Z

I enjoyed playing your game. Mostly for the humor and the story. Funny dialogs :-) The theme is not very present (all this kind of point and click game are based on the same principle to find a way to unlock a way), but the characters and the scenery are a good base. With better graphics and animations (The monkey is moving very jerky) it could be a very nice little game.

The Magic Steak by chispaLBC 2020-10-08T18:58:25Z

Il like the idea of the general structure of the level staying the same and changing little by little every time you reach the goal. The character is cute and the pixel art graphic is simple and efficient. I find the level design and the movemment a bit stiff. But even if there's ehancement to be done, it's an honorable entry.

Loop Frogs by GaryS 2020-10-22T19:29:10Z

Very good game design. It took a bit time to understand the mechanic, but once I did, I enjoy a lot the puzzles. The Level design is very clever. And the frogs are cute. And there's many possibilities! The level with all the blue flames to switch off with the green frog make the synchronisation difficult, but very interesting. Only the sound is a bit rough and boring after a while. Otherwise, good job you two!!!

Springy's Adventure by TheCrittersCove 2020-10-25T15:47:13Z

I like the mood of this game. The art is cute and music is enjoying. But the objective is not very clear. It took me time to understand that I had to go on the "bridge". More feedbacks would be nice to understand it better. Other little problems : We can go out of the screen on the border. Perhaps a wrap would be adapted to this kind of game? Sometimes there's collision box with the plants. Only with 2 plants in the level 1. That's weird. Anyway. With more clear feedbacks and precision it could be a very nice little game.

Metamorph by Brothers Arcade 2020-10-25T19:32:55Z

I wanted to give you a good rate on the art. It is not you that made the graphics? Because it is a cute pixel art. I really like the idea of metamorphose and it fit well the theme. I like the different control at the different steps (the jump of the 2eme phase is perhaps a bit slippery). The game is too easy and sometimes we just have to wait the next transformation to progress. I really like the idea. Perhaps another way to manage the time would help. Or things in the environment that push you to the next step? Good entry anyway! Congrat!

Mission ∞ by ryzy27 2020-10-12T14:09:39Z

I don't understand how this game fit the theme, but it's a well polished shooter game. Difficult for me to play because my keyboard is not a QUERTY so WASD is a nightmare to use. But whatever, the pixel art of the characters is very cute and the movements are very clean. The sound design is funny at the beginning, but too strong and present on a longplay time in my humble opinion. For the obscurity, it's good for the ambience, but I needed to use the light at maximum to play well.

Ticket to Loop by Rost 2020-10-20T16:10:40Z

The old school pixelart is pleasant. I like the idea. And the fact that the train is bigger when we take a new passenger (like a snake game) and that we can manage the speed. But what a mess with this amount of ennemies! Too messy for me, I don't find fun in this. Anyway, I see that some players like it. It's just a matter of taste. With some polish, it could be a nice game for the fans of the genre.

Ekko by PierreNS 2020-10-11T16:20:33Z

What an entry! Wery well polished game in the theme. Very nice music and effects, solid basement of gameplay. The beginning and the ending effects surround well the ambience. The mechanic is very easy one we understand it. I'm sure you can find many variation and evolution on this system. It's very funny to see the first ghost discovering the environment, bit lost in the beginning ^^ Perhaps a button to begin a new character would be interesting? If it's not already done? Whatever, congratulation to the team!

Stuck in a Hoop by Tunahead 2020-10-18T18:51:53Z

It's a pleasant little classical platformer. The art is clean. Sound perhaps too stiff. It would be nice if the jump stop when we leave the keyboard key. In my humble opinion it's important to have precise control. The hoop is a good idea to try to match the theme. So I would say it's a respectable entry.

Nucleus Loop by m.dam 2020-10-08T19:54:03Z

Yes the control and camera management are a bit messy and the level design a bit confused. I had difficulties to play. Need some polish on this points. Otherwise, the character and colored minimal style is interesting. And the music fit well. It's a nice wink to the oldschool 3D games.

Glide by egawag 2020-10-19T08:27:58Z

Nice entry. This game is very well adapted for mobile. The esthetic is nice, with symbols like chinese ideogram and texture of paper. And the scalable music fit well. The ribbon is not so easy to move but this is the difficulty I guess. The detection of caught symbols is working well, and I like the paint explosion. It's nice to see some abstract paint on the sheet. It's a good base. Now with more features (like the classical "bombs" to avoid to lock up) or some groups to enclose (by colors?) and with some little improvement it could be a nice small mobile scoring game.

Galdir's Quest by Nehvis 2020-10-23T17:37:35Z

I'm completely drunk now ^^ No, seriously it's a nice platform game. The controls are good, and that's important for this kind of challenging game. (The part with the lava down and the pricks is hard. And I didn't have the courage to start again at the end). But I have seen the breaking wall and I know it will be a path with the next beer. I like this kind of Level Design where there's always a new way to go with new powers. Well done you two!

Tloop - The looping tank Shooter by loligxp 2020-10-08T09:41:57Z

A very simple game, but the gameplay is fun. At the beginning it's very easy because you just have to keep going in one direction, but then with the shooters in 4 directions, the difficulty increase. Very simple graphics, very simple sounds. 8 bits nostalgia ^^ it do the job. Good.

TALLY MARKS by de3sol 2020-10-24T09:51:55Z

The fact that you can use the dead bodys of yourself is a very good concept completely in the theme. And the game is very well polished. The art is very nice (I like the mix between 2D and 3D) and the ambiant sound fit well. The movements are clean. Perhaps a bit difficult to understand the distance to throw your body at first. I was a bit disturbed by the camera at the beginning, but it's good to let the player choose the angle of view. (In level 3 I didn't see that the level wasn't flat with my angle of camera). I like the Level Design. levels are not too big, and very clever. You already have many things done for a Jam Game! Wish you the best to continue working and finish it!

Led Astray by Lyrcaxis 2020-10-13T08:14:09Z

Very nice art and mood. I like the character and how it can go through the stage set of the house. The use of loops on objects work well (Perhaps just a discret ghost behind that show the beginning and the end of the path?). The music and sounds brings depth to the atmosphere of this story. But I was a bit disappointed not to be able to go to the end, because I was stuck at this part : SCREEN1.png

Impossible for me to reach the platform. It's like there's a big collision box that block me. Or perhaps I miss something to do? Anyway. It's a very nice entry. Congratulation to the team!

Looping Madness by Croped 2020-10-16T18:58:53Z

It's an evolution of flappy bird. Well in the theme, and the control is difficult, but clean and clear. The sound is adapted. Perhaps the music a bit too repetitive. Well done, but really too difficult for me. I don't have patience to anticipate the direction with this loops and only two buttons. But for the fans of the genre it's successful.

The Loop by Jin9310 2020-10-12T09:13:15Z

This simple concept work well. I like the shapes effects that the loops let behind. The rythm of the music is a good base for the notes you do when you move Bob. It's like we are playing music while playing game ^^ Many times I just go quickly right and left to try to go straight... But the nicest is when we can make big circles. It's already addictive, but with an improvement on the LD and art (I know you are good at it. I already test your other games ;-) you could make a very nice polished game. Congrat!

Caterpiloop by Marcus Otterstrom 2020-10-16T13:28:57Z

Very cute world. The art is sweet and the sound with mouth funny (perhaps a bit annoying on a long time period, and in this case, a bit of variation could arrange it). And the concept with many different paths to manage is enjoyable. It would be just perhaps nice to skip the starting time, and have a speed up when the insect come back. Anyway. The atmosphere and whole game well polished for a jam deserve a Congrat!

Loop the Poop by Merrow 2020-10-24T13:14:49Z

Well done. Perhaps a little long at the start when we have to wait for the poops ^^ The music fit well the mood. Sounds are funny at the beginning, but for me a bit too much on a long play. The difficulty come with the collision when there's too many poops. The fact that a poop stay stuck in the pipe increase the difficulty. It would be nice to have a level select screen. Good entry, nice funny concept.

DUƎL by JLV 2020-10-26T13:05:32Z

The mechanic is interesting. Good pixel art and music. I think it's a good base. The ennemy go too quickly too fast and then it's very difficult. Some polish and other ideas with this concept and you can make a small cool game.

Roundabout Rowdy by Andreas Roschal 2020-10-09T09:49:56Z

At the beginning I did'nt expected the game would be fun. But it is! Because it's more challenging than it look. I like the concept even if it's a very simple use of the theme (loop is not so present). The idea of taking time back while making a complete round is clever. And even if the control is not so easy it's very clean. That make the challenge fairly. The art is nice but Audio would be welcome to have better immersion. Anyway. good job!

My Hat by GuyUnger 2020-10-18T11:04:44Z

Very nice small game. I love the stop motion art and the music is fitting very well. The mood is very sweet and funny. At the beginning I was wondering how to avoid the plane ^^ Nices small loops. And the final rainbow puts us in a good mood! Congratulation it's like a complete small game! Very polished and clever for a jam.

The Flying Tree by DavidPeterWorks 2020-10-24T13:26:43Z

Nice ambient. Good choice for the music. But the quietness of this atmosphere is a bit broken by the difficultie to find the good placement on thermal wind. I couldn't reach another mountain :-( I would prefer to have something more smooth for the control. Anyway. It's really a nice idea.

Stuck in the Clock by Aaronacus 2020-10-20T17:20:32Z

Good design! I love the concept and the simplicity of the character. Nice effects. And the music coming slowly is good too. But I was a bit disappointed by the gameplay. The game is very easy. I don't find it funny and quickly boring. It's a nice mood, a very solid atmosphere, and with better features and objective it could be a very good game. Otherwise it's already a nice little experience very well done.

Countercl0ckwise by Iker Díaz 2020-10-22T17:38:28Z

Very nice simple concept well made. Design + Pixel Art + Sound + Movements = everything is in perfect harmony in this addicting little game. Difficult to manage the paths at the end. Very challenging after 4. I reach the 2. I Couldn't finish the game but love to play it.

Hypnic Fall by Dakke 2020-10-24T10:16:27Z

The game seems interesting with the energy to keep and use to jump, but I find the control a bit slippery. Difficult to react quickly while falling down. In I was not able to make big jumps (I read the comments to understand the mechanic, and it seems that the energy is exponential but I didn't feel it) Anyway, I'm perhaps too bad to play it...sorry.

Doggo in the Woods by 113hz 2020-10-23T19:45:05Z

Nice mood. With the rain, the start of the game is really close to the game "Revenge of dog" I made with my brother : https://matotitou.itch.io/revenge-of-dog

The movement of the dog and the loop around the tree is working well. It's a good base. I'm curious to see what will be the gameplay if you continue working on it.

Train Rush by Panagiotis Iatrou 2020-10-11T19:05:18Z

Very good concept well polished for a jam. I like this simple and clean esthetic. Interface, art and music are fitting well. easy to take in hand, not too difficult, the progression difficulty come with the length of the train. (Nice idea the fact that you take as many ressources as you have wagons). The tempo of the traps on the ways is well managed. Kind of small simple addictive games. Congratulation guys!

Stucker by Animaster 2020-10-24T10:40:26Z

This kind of crafting game is not my cup of tea, but with the bots to work on it it's more interesting. Still I didn't finished the game, because I find the ressources too long to manage. Anyway, the art is simple and nice. Perhaps the movement square by square is a bit slow then the rythm of scrolling is a bit jerky. With some polish and sound it could be a cute little game for the fans of the genre.

Hyperloop by very dark lord 2020-10-12T09:55:10Z

What a team! And I can see it's even a biggest team this time! Great job. Te ambient/atmosphere is very scary. I like all the details (rats, lights...). Nice pixel Art and animation. The introduction implements very well the mood and I like how the text is coming. Just some small details : The scrolling could be more soft. (I find it a bit quaky while following the movement of the character). Perhaps stop the animation and foot noise when we are stuck on a wall. (sometimes the foot step noise continue when I died.) For the theme I just find the fact that there's an infinte loop left and right at the beginning. But perhaps there's something else that I didn'f find. Unfortunately I was not able to go very far : I find the game not easy because we are quickly out of munitions... But anyway! I could play enough to see that it's a very nice polished game. Congratulation to all of you!

Curse of King Uroboros by Echo GameWorks 2020-10-25T14:09:58Z

I defeat king Uroboros! It's a cool small game. Nice that you were able to do so many boss. I like the idea that we have to be carefull not to shoot too much bullets because it will be dangerous with all our ghosts after. The music is repetitive, but evolutive, and that's well made too. With a bit polish on the control (I find the jump a bit flabby) and some ehancement on the art (even if it's really good for a jam) and feedbacks it will surely be a very nice small game.

WONK - Aretha Wonk uses the internet. by mitsu.artemius 2020-10-22T17:07:32Z

What the hell, poor Grandma so much spammed on her computer! ^^ This game is very funny. I don't know what to do with the letters and the fact that we can write some. And the computer. But the mood and the art + choice of the music is so nice. It seems to be a good concept. But Perhaps more explanation to understand the mechanic would be welcome? Anyway. I really enjoyed the atmosphere/ideas.

Paper Hell by Lexyvil 2020-10-09T10:05:55Z

A very classical and simple concept. In fact it's juste a QUIZ. The only link with the theme is that it's an unending game (and there's a ton of unending games). But I like this kind of simple games where we can learn with fun. And Some shifted questions/answers are very funny. Lot of good ideas in the text. And with the stress of the time, it's not so easy to choose the right answer :-) Thanks for this little funny game.

DISTORT by SuperGamersGames 2020-10-24T15:44:23Z

Yes, this is a classical platform game but very well made. I like the gameboy art style and the control of character is very clean. And the fact that the level is always changing a bit work well and fit a bit the theme. Nice glitch effects. The sound is in the mood but perhaps a bit scratchy. Anyway, It's a solid entry.

Rainy Eternity in Limbo by pfs 2020-10-14T08:51:29Z

Umb umb umbre umbre Umbrella! This game is completely crazy. But funny! The pixel art is very nice, and music match well. Good mood. I don't have patience to always go again in the two parallel loops... but there's a lot of fun characters. Obviously I suppose you know there's a lot of collision problems. But it seems you assume it. Anyway. It's a rich entry full of ideas.

Orpheus by Isaac Surfraz 2020-10-14T08:24:46Z

Nice ambience and retro art style and good choice of music. The animation is overall good, but when we move to the right the character is looking down. And the movements are a bit slack. When we stop the character continue to slide. Then it take time if we want to change direction. Due to this lack of reactivity I find the game too difficult. I didn't feel the "loop" theme, but perhaps it come later in the game? Anyway, with more energy, a better view and better reactions of the character it could be a nice game.

Sloop by Martynas 2020-10-17T20:19:38Z

There's something special in this game with the two ways of moving, but I find the movement of the character not very comfortable and the action a bit repetitive. Apart from that the pixel art and animation are nice.

Just another Day by Jeremia 2020-10-06T13:30:27Z

Very good concept well in the theme. I like the ambiance. It's like a small escape game. And I love the END, the fact that it crash the game. Best way to break the loop. Graphic is simple but efficient and the mechanic work well. I notice a small bug (I made the dishes, then you can do it again). I agree with Marbles that it would be better to push E again to close the interact, better than ESC. Even if more polish can be done, it's well finished. Bravo.

Hiccup Time by Somogy 2020-10-13T07:48:04Z

OK, I will not speak about the graphic and audio assets ^^ But the mechanic of the gameplay is funny and interesting and match well the theme. It took me time to understand how it work precisely with the time bars, and even after this I find the tempo a bit too stressful to enjoy to use it. In my humble opinion I would say that there's a better balance to do on it. Nice idea anyway!

Crazy Scientist: Lost in Dimensions by WormholeGames 2020-10-15T13:12:15Z

It's nice that you had made an introduction to the game. And many levels with different atmospheres. The music fit well. Control is a bit raw. I like when there's reactivity but perhaps the character go to fast. And the level design is a bit tricky, some space is a bit too small considering the speed of the controls. I gave up in the level with the mill where we have to go down between the thorns. Anyway. It's a quite complete entry.

Hamster Simulator by snowinn 2020-10-12T19:27:45Z

This is a good joke ^^ Completely in the theme for sure. It remind me some old games I played on my amstrad cpc464 with which I destroy my joysticks button. I just play enough to see the animation speed up of the hamster. Then more in rythm with the music. Funny.

Driven Round the Loop by JoeShanahan 2020-10-06T18:56:57Z

What a very good puzzle game completely in the theme! The design of the interface, like a website is very well adapted and clean. And the mechanic is so interesting. The storyline is very nice because for each petition, it's a new way to think (the idea of crashing all the cars for exemple). No Bugs found but the only thing weird is in the "Cycle gang" level : when I put the guy in the park, there were still bikers. So the guy would not be safe there... Another thing, when we have to go through the cross parts of the road, it would be nice to know which numbers in advance rather than discover it like blind test. I didn't find a way to finish the last level. I don't understand if I have to put all the Cycle at the same time on the cross sections of the road? How I can do it with 4 cycles? Anyway. Congratulation. You made a very very good entry with this game.

Lucky Lefty Loves Loops by TheBookSnail 2020-10-13T20:12:55Z

A very simple and funny idea. Just for the loop at the end it's worth a try! ^^

Chicken Leggacy by Magic_mike 2020-10-24T13:58:31Z

Nice title screen! I like the idea and the chickens. And the music fit well the cute mood. In fact with the eggs we are putting in the nest we just activate checkpoint. But it's working. The art is nice, but animations and movements need some polish. Collisions are a bit raugh and some more feedbacks would be nice. Anyway. It's a charming entry. Congratulation to your big team!

Jungle Jam by Daxic 2020-10-06T12:46:50Z

Very nice pixel Art, and music + sounds are well made too, the game is in a good mood. But I find it difficult, because there's too much buttons, and I'm quickly out of ammo. And then I cannot destroy the boxes... Perhaps I miss something ? I cannot buy anything in the button cooldown. Perhaps I'm too bad to play this kind of game, sorry. Anyway, the esthetic is very well polished!

Undead Carnival Carnage by dummydojo 2020-10-25T17:02:29Z

Incredible how polish is this game for a Jam! All is perfect! Sound, animation, control, design. Whaou. Good idea the carousel for the loop. It's funny to scare the zombies, even if we are scared too. I find the game a bit difficult. Because at one time there's so much ennemies on a small place. But I'm very impressed by the quality of this entry! Congratulation!

Inside the Planet by victor_reiner 2020-10-12T14:27:44Z

Cute! I love the art style and the inside square planets universe. The gameplay is well polish and the character is moving well. Music is matching the art and the interface is clean, and tutorial very clear. A bit unfair with the loops that are not matching with the ennemies loops. Level Design need to be polished in my humble opinion. For exemple level 3 is very difficult and level 4 very easy. With this solid gameplay and a nice ambience you will make a very nice game!

Hackermon - Evil Edition by Le Don 2020-10-25T15:32:16Z

Yes! I beat that excellent game! :-) One of the best I tried. Good to learn to code! However, I didn't understand *if doorlocked==true doorlocked=true*. It would not rather be False? Anyway, so much good ideas (the trapp hidden... The continue...) so much possibilities. Very funny and addictive. Good that the F12 pause the game. I would really enjoy more levels :-) Very clean and intuitive. Congratulation!

LoopBots by Empty Set 2020-10-13T13:06:00Z

Very nice entry according to the theme. It's so enjoyable to record the loops and see how to optimise the time to get the ressources. The first step in each level is to explore it then put the robots to work. The tutorial is very well managed. I was completely ready to play at the end. Very good job! With some polish on the art and sound and perhaps some more features it must be a very nice game!

Loop Lab by LeGoLaZ 2020-10-11T18:39:10Z

I didn't understood What I have done in the first level to complete it. But I understood the loop mechanic easily in the second one. Then It took me again time to handle it in the third. Finally after this I could manage it very well in the different levels. I love the diversity of the puzzles. (like the synchronisation to find in the bonfire level and the variation of goals with the bomb on the car). The art is efficient and the audio atmosphere fit well. You created a very nice concept. Now I think the important thing to do is a good tutorial and make a nice difficulty progression curve. Congratulation to all the team!

WhileFox by Snory 2020-10-21T20:09:06Z

The version I played is still confused. I'm blocked under the frog after the tutorial explanations. Anyway, I think I understand what you were trying to do, and it's a nice concept. Lot of possibilities on this base. You need to put strong feedbacks, for the activations and links of the loops betweens characters. It's a pity that you were not able to make a working level. But with improvements and more exploration on this base, I'm pretty sure you can make a good game!

Spiiin by Temulgeh 2020-10-24T10:26:45Z

Very nice concept. I like the simplicity of the pixel art and the control is clean. Of course, there's work to do to improve it, but for a Jam it's already a good base. The concept of breaking the loop while stubbing the blue ennemies is working well. If you keep working on it I think you would be able to make a very cute little game.

Escape the Loop by Rawb 2020-10-09T10:41:06Z

I like this kind of new experiences. Good concept. It took me time to understand the mechanic. I always used the wrong button (mix between the freeze and unfreeze). It's a good idea to put the timer directly on the circles of the game. Like a big clock. Unfortunately the movements of the character are a bit flabby (The jump mostly) and the feeling upside down when we are on top don't help (movements seems inverted for the player). But it's really a good prototype. Whith some improvement it could be a nice little game ;-)

Slime Boi by noakishere 2020-10-11T17:54:47Z

I like the simplicity of the mechanic and the art. The command are very easy to take in hand, and the animation of the slime is clean. The fact that's an endless game is not enough to match the theme in my humble opinion, but it's an addictive game. The good idea is that you have to jump to be quicker than the scrolling. It give more challenge. With a lively music it must be a very nice little game.

Alter-Nate by Codeman1010 2020-10-23T17:54:11Z

There's an interesting post apocalyptic atmosphere in your game. I like the art and the music, and I was surprised to see new characters while starting again. That was funny. On the other hand I find the Level Design a bit confuse to move in and the control not very clean. Sometimes the character continue to move alone. Anyway. It's a generous entry.

CUB by Loig 2020-10-16T19:56:15Z

very clever game completely in the theme. And I like the minimalist clean esthetic. The dash is a very good idea. The progression curve is well done. No Bugs. A very addictive puzzle game. I enjoyed to play it. Good job.

The Power Loop by maxflav 2020-10-12T14:44:27Z

very nice puzzle. And good use of the theme. The difficulty come with the stabilizer. And the progression curve is well managed. This kind of game show that the most important for a good concept is the heart gameplay. Congrat.

Spectre Circuit by Theg 2020-10-09T09:11:42Z

A very classical game, and a very simple use of the theme. But it's clean. I didn't find any bugs. And even if it's a dejà vu, the ghost of the car is welcome to see the loop of the past.

Imperial Eggnog Incorporated by Blue Pin Studio 2020-10-24T15:28:43Z

Funny concept. Very clean desktop interface. Nice art and audio. But for me The fact that we must put the key and turn it, then put the finger then push the joystick then a button again is funny at the beginning, but really annoying at the end. It give the mood, but a shortcut would be nice. I felt the routine of this job. It's a bit in the theme in this way. In short, good entry, funny small game.

Shadow of Archimedes by Eckkert 2020-10-24T11:30:24Z

It took me a lot of time to understand that we can build structures while clicking on the icons at the top. (I had to read more the HOW TO PLAY) before starting ^^ Anyway. Very good post apocalyptic mood. Nice sound atmosphere, and I like how the ressources are following you. The concept to go right to cool down and stop before freezing is interesting, but at the end, I'm just walking/stoping all the time. But it's a nice entry. A good concept and a nice experience well in the theme.

(Nu) Da Drum by Trexxak 2020-10-24T08:27:21Z

I'm so sorry but I don't understand the gameplay at all...

In the explanation you say : *I know it is easy to cheese the whole game with flicking the mouse really fast. Maybe try and ignore that?*

But I was not able to play without doing that. I don't understand why there's an energy bar and why is it going so quickly down...

Otherwise it's a good idea. It's a very child art but it fit the back to basics of memories with the bear. And in this way the audio with mouth is matching too. This give a good mood. It's a narrative experience in fact. With more polish on the control it could be pleasant to discover the story.

Baderna by laorixu 2020-10-20T16:50:22Z

Yes. The art and the mood + music are nice. And the scenery of the game. But th physic is awful. Very difficult to control. I was not able to do anything. Lot of improvement to do on it! But then it could be a cute little game.

Loopsky by Matootsy 2020-10-20T15:16:56Z

Thank you a lot for the feedbacks!

I put an updated version on itch : https://matotitou.itch.io/loopsky2

@robin-psaila : It's interesting to see that for you the black holes make the level easier but for @sondy it make it more difficult... Then I must make lot of test to see the average and make the progression curve better.

@apfel : Now the hitbox of the black holes are less unfair, I hope. In any case, now the path is destroyed too, so you cannot guide the stars to the black holes anymore.

@joeshanahan @codertrevor : Thanks a lot! Now I put a tutorial in the level 2 to help to understand the breaking loop thing. And there's more feedbacks to understand it. And now the stars change when they are captured by the path. Hope it will be more easy to understand.

@theg @lereveur @duke @ale @triceratopsjjj @satolas : Yes, the stars and the blackholes were not very visible. I change some graphics, now I hope you can see them better.

@vodzik : Normally the loops are more smooth now, but there's still possibility to make square. I think this is usefull to make different puzzles possibilities. But I will try to find the good compromise. Otherwise I changed the buttons Sound. Hope it match better the ambience.

@nekuake @tauheed-game-dev @spawncampgames @egan-henderson @egawag : Thanks a lot for your encouragement. Since I finished some feedbacks polish I will work on some new features now.

Loopsky by Matootsy 2020-10-22T14:14:13Z

@lereveur : Thanks to have tried it again. Weird that it doesn't work on your side. I don't have problems and snory didn't too. Perhaps it's because there's a bad mix between the saved parts in the 2 versions on specific browsers? I tried it on Mozilla and Chrome and it's working well on my side...

Die with the spikes by JaviCoder 2020-10-25T19:16:27Z

The colors and light are really beautiful. Even the character, only made with cubes, is nice because of the transparence and color contrast. I like the mood of this game and the music fit very well. I was just a bit disappointed by the gameplay. It's just a matter of chance. Only die and retry. And the movements ar very rough. I don't feel well the theme. But for the atmosphere, congratulation!

Pogo Knight by TheWinrawr 2020-10-25T14:59:11Z

Good that you had time to make a clean tutorial. The concept is working well. I don't feel the theme much, apart the continuous changing level. Nice swinging music and good art. Even if the control is already good, there's perhaps a little more precision to give, and with the feedbacks to. Some animations would help. I really like the challenging LD with all the spikes, but I would say that it's a bit too difficult to begin like this. Because your LD is evolutive, it would be nice to start on a easier layout first. And the full ground Spikes would arrive at an advanced point. Anyway. Lot of potential with this base. With some polish it would be a very addictive game.

One More Day by Bit Assembly 2020-10-07T20:44:10Z

It is more a narrative experience than a game, isn't it? It seem that whatever we do, if we clean or not, it's the same story. But this is completely in the theme. I like this kind of ambiance. The dialogues and voices are very well made. Good behind closed doors story. Meaningful. A good entry!

Foolish Me by Raeya 2020-10-24T13:42:20Z

The atmosphere is nice and mechanic interesting. Cool pixel art. Music would be nice if it wasn't sooo repetitive. The system of moving platform with lines is interesting, but I find it a bit frustrating with the movements and the gravity of the character. And I would say that there's perhaps too much keys to use. But it's really a good concept that could be a nice game with some polish.

black_box by Fraxle 2020-10-16T13:52:04Z

The inside LD of the ship is well made, and I like the simplicity and clarity of the pixel art. I didn't clearly understood the loops, and even if the gameplay is not bad, I find it too repetitive and at the end, it's just assigned task to do (And at one time, too much task is obviously difficult). I think you have a nice base, with improvement on the gameplay it could be a nice small game.

The Ages Among Worlds by Victor Vk 2020-10-15T13:38:17Z

For your first Jam, it's already good to have a small part of game working, and without bugs. The music is nice and the clean art style is fresh. And because it seems there's nothing to do, it's a bit matching the theme, because we just have to loop around the floating islands.

Re-Slash by Croxel Studios 2020-10-08T18:43:23Z

Great concept. A very good use of the theme in game play. The very interesting thing is that in fact the player have so a few time to do the right movement and must be very clever. It become to be really hard at the level 4. Perfect entry for a jam. Congrat, guys. Good job.

Loopy Keys by LazyAlarm 2020-10-24T09:39:10Z

What a messy game! Throwing all the objects upside down! The idea is funny. A small bug : I was ablke to see the text in the first room from everywhere in the house. (mostly upstairs). I didn't have the patience to start again and again to find this key! Anyway. It's a simple little game that works.

Skycrawler by oneiromancer 2020-10-24T11:00:34Z

I like this kind of gravity games where we are walking around pieces in the sky. But there's always this upside down feeling when we don't know if we have to go left or right at one time. The fact that we have to reach some distant platforms while breaking the gravity is not easy and interesting. Nice art, and music (even if it's a bit repetitive). A very clean entry. Congratulation.

A100P by ItsIsaac 2020-10-16T19:43:50Z

Very nice music and ambiance. The robot character is cute. The difficult part for me is the gameplay. The objects are often flying far away and difficult to move. Physic is a bit strange in this spaceship. The camera views are a bit weird. It would be good for a cinematic introduction, but in the game I would prefer to have a constant overview. I could'nt do anything to stop the loop, but I enjoyed the ambient of this game.

Grotinger by RizekCajk 2020-10-17T08:44:47Z

I don't feel the "loop" theme, but it's a nice little platform game. The pixel art is pleasing, and movements are clean. I like the characters. The game is perhaps a bit too easy. And the ennemies are not difficult, juste a bit too long to kill (and at the end it's a bit boring). I could have soo much potions! That's funny. So I would say : nothing new, but it's a well-made simple platformer.

Stuck in a Loo by Xenon27 2020-10-24T16:17:33Z

Very funny idea. Completely crazy. A character stuck in the loo! It's a very simple classical game but very well made. The control is very neat, and I like the two way to move the loo, and the fact that it can fall down with the dash.

Creatures of the Sky by WiredSound 2020-10-15T12:43:38Z

I like the atmosphere, even with very simple pixel art, it's working. The story look interesting, the picture with the whale at the beginning is very nice. But otherwise I don't feel the theme, and it seems there's nothing to do except walking. I finished the game very easily.

Hudson by Dharby 2020-10-12T20:31:50Z

Very nice idea the fact that the ennemies attack directly the energy bar and that we have to put the squares directly in the upgrades weapons or the loses lifes. But what a mess with all theses ton of ennemies! Good that they don't give dammage on the character. And very good that we don't have to clic every time but just keep the button pressed to fight them. I don't find the theme in this game, and it's too stressful for me, but there's innovation, for sure. Good entry.

LOOP by Blue05 2020-10-12T08:35:44Z

Very nice. I love the movement of the character, very dynamic. And the simplicity of the art and sound. Just a bit movement of particules give a lot of life. Link to the theme, the fact that the screens are never the same when you go again out is well managed. I found only difficulties with the last screen. Challenging to take the collectibles while falling, but very gratifying at the end. Congratulation.

Over and Around by JJP 2020-10-11T17:46:36Z

I hoped something will change in this loop. But after 4 points, I didn't have the patience to continue. In relation to the theme we can say it's the perfect loop. Otherwise, it's just a first step. Now we need something more to enjoy it ;-)

CONTRAST by Benedek Labancz 2020-10-25T16:23:16Z

The theme is not "Yin and yang" or "Black and white". You are ahead for the Ludum Dare 52! ^^ Anyway. It's a rich game! There's so much ideas for a Jam!! I like the puzzles on the checkerboard. The gamplay with 2 characters to manage is interesting and well made. Some problems happen sometimes when there's too much distance between the characters they go out of the screen. Anyway. I began to feel some interesting situations, protect one guy in some close areas to fight with the other. There's potential. With some polish and ehancement (better art and feedbacks) and better collisions, it could be a cool game!

Temporarium by Eden Shazar 2020-10-11T17:21:34Z

The art character is very original. I like the style. The game seem interesting, but it's a bit confusing for me. And the camera is perhaps a little bit too close. I didn't understand how to play it. It feel like the game is playing alone. Not enough feedbacks. Tutorial would be welcome.

Kill Me Plenty by Blood_Jackal23 2020-10-22T16:48:19Z

Hello. I tried the MS Build 0.1.7 and I think it's not working properly because the character is always going left.

Kill Me Plenty by Blood_Jackal23 2020-10-23T15:50:27Z

@blood-jackal23 : I tried again, it's the same problem for me : the character is always moving left when I leave the keyboard keys. But it's weird because I read all the comments and nobody seems to have this problem except me... I tried the Build 0.1.4 and it's the same... Or is it normal and it's a feature in the game?

Kill Me Plenty by Blood_Jackal23 2020-10-27T19:34:57Z

@blood-jackal23 : oh! I'm sorry it's just on my side. I see this bug again in other unity project. It's my Xbox Pad that made it... :-o

Stuck on the Train by Conneli 2020-10-19T19:53:14Z

Nice setting up and interactions ideas. It's a good mood game. But I find it difficult because this kind of game need exploration and time to understand what to do, and it's a bit annoying to restart again and do the same things in my humble opinion. But the game is enjoyable even if the collisions box are very big and that the character cannot move very easily. A little bug : when we speak between 2 characters, the 2 texts are overlapping. Anyway. I would like to play it if there would not be a timer. I know, it's for the theme... But I don't have patience. So I watched the walkthrough. Anyway, it's a good entry.

Life Loop by Alexunz 2020-10-24T14:24:31Z

Very nice story. In fact it's more an interactive experience rather than a game, but it's very meaningful. Hey in fact the main character is working his whole life with always new team of young people ^^ (By the way, I like the way the guy is getting older). Simple and efficient. Good mood. Well made!

Grabby - The Ultimate Grabbinator by rucksack 2020-10-24T09:29:28Z

All the concept and good use of the theme is in the first part. It's so nice to break the routine of a robot's life. The Art and music/Sound are veery nice. And the control a bit difficult at the beginning, is very well made. Even if all the other part of the game consist of rushing and taking energy sometimes, it's a very goog entry. Congratulation you three! Perhaps with other features and trying to find a gameplay a bit less repetitive, it would be a cool game. (At one time I was thinking that I was not able to climb on the wall and that I had to use the squares or the triangles to make something like a stair with it. Perhaps it could be an idea?)

Space Loop by sergei201613 2020-10-20T17:08:37Z

The mood is nice. Clean 3D Art and nice ambient music. The spaceship configuration is good to. I know that the time limitation is here to fit the theme, but I don't like this timer in this kind of puzzle exploration game. Suddendly we have to play again from the begenning (The idea of the post-it is nice, but doesn't make the feeling of restarting from the begenning better.). Other point : it's difficult to understand what is interactive or not with E. Some feedbacks would help. But it was to discover some mini games in the game. Congrat to the team! I would say, now you can perhaps forget a bit the "loop" theme and make a nice escape game.

Loop's Way by Linetaru 2020-10-06T11:48:32Z

It's based a simple mechanic, but with the "cheat" feature it become interesting. @lvl3mage : Try to come back with a box in the previous level, you will understand. Then the mechanic go on further with the colors in world 2. Good music, clean simple graphics. This is a good entry. The LD is well made for the mechanic but a bit messy to walk and jump (I think about the path with all the cubes going high in many different rotations). Quoi qu'il en soit pour une première participation à la Ludum Dare, c'est un jeu bien fini. Bravo à toute l'équipe ;-)

Chronophobia by Valkija 2020-10-06T15:01:19Z

Yes the horror atmosphere is very well made. And the sounds are scary as well. This game is difficult, because we don't have time to explore quietly what happen around and what we have to do. Perhaps more explanation would be required. A small introduction? I'm agree with scott-hernandez, it's hard to understand what object we can take. Need a bit more feedback. One bug on my side: There's a freeze at the beginning of the third loop. This game is too difficult for me but I liked this scary experience. 5/5 for the mood. Congratulation.

Deathless Curse by BridgeOnAStick 2020-10-16T12:56:12Z

The main character has a nice design. And good ambience at the beginning with the fire and the other guy. Sad that audio is missing. The Level design is a bit stiff and the jump of the character too. I don't feel well that the character is stuck in a loop. And I don't understand what is the meaning of the big black doors in the gameplay. Anyway. For a first entry it's good!

Master of Tiles by Protagonist-kun 2020-10-23T17:16:06Z

Very nice mood. I like the Mix between 2D and 3D, and the simplicity of the black and white environment. The music is sweet, and it's interesting to work on the loop with the buttons, but there's a lack of feedbacks. I didn't understand very clearly what happen when I push a button. And I think the controls could be more smooth, without a camera to manage while moving. (And hide the walls when they are too close to the camera.) But it's a nice experience :-)

Clound loop by Glayson 2020-10-16T13:38:35Z

It look like a super meat boy. I don't feel well the theme. And the control is a bit stiff. (The jump have a small latency) in this kind of hard game, the character movement must be very precise. Anyway. It's working, and a honorable entry for a first jam entry.

Fun Colors by AmusingFrog 2020-10-24T09:06:10Z

It is a very simple concept. (I don't feel the theme, because endless scoring videogames are very usual).Control is very sleepery, perhaps it's a way to make it challenging. At one time, because of the speed up, it begin to be too difficult to anticipate and I agree with MidoriMelody that knowing the next color would help. Anyway. All the simple concepts could be very addictive. With good feedbacks and polish, and perhaps more features, it could be a nice game.

Resurrection by etrealjunior 2020-10-12T07:13:28Z

Nice art style. I like the simple shapes white lines. The story cycle fit well the loop theme. The games are very simple and classical, and the design of the levels could be improved (the last part is too easy for exemple). But we can consider it's more a narrative experience than a real game, and in this case it's effective! Congrat!

Save The Reactor by Jarvisp99 2020-10-24T14:50:04Z

This game is completely in the theme. Good graphic and Good choice for the music. I like the base idea, and the simplicity of the control. But I find it a bit too much based on the luck of the availability of the open loops. Perhaps it would be nice to control something else? Like the direction of the loops?

Loophole by tverdo 2020-10-06T15:19:12Z

The movement is very special to understand at the beginning. Because we have to bounce, to find the loop to move forward. It's hard to understand which part of ourself could enter in collision, because we see from a third person view. Perhaps it would be more clear if we see a character ? Anyway, after some tries, I could feel the path. I like the mood like tron effects, simple colored esthetic. And the transition when we hit a red collision box. Good job.

Bean Up! by TheGamer 2020-10-18T19:01:11Z

There's a super meat boy inspiration ^^ I really love the idea that the level is builded little by little. Very clever. The control are very clean. I died a lot when the starting platform disapear, before managing the double jump. (Just perhaps a problem : we cannot jump if we are too close to a wall).Very addictive. And the music is matching very well the rythm of this game. The simplicity of the graphics is enough to enjoy the game. But now you have time to improve it a bit, perhaps. Congratulation guys!

Stuck in a Timeloop by Stefan B. 2020-10-12T20:10:12Z

Nice effects, nice simple pixel art (The design of the character is cool). With the platform on the heads you add a very good mechanic to the ghost system. It could be quickly a big funny mess with all the clones. Not too difficult. I just have some problems with some thin platforms hard to reach with missing jump-through. A bit polish on the LD and the movement, and it will be great! Congrat to the whole team!

INSIDE THE LOOP by aerloth 2020-10-19T08:49:51Z

Very good ambient game. The camera movement is surprising at first, but then make sense when we have to move in lot of different directions (just minor problem : sometimes, the view is a bit shifted). Congratulatioon for the audio work. The sound is very fantastic and add layers to this unreal universe. I like the fact that we cannot die and we have to manage our path in this upside down loop, but it's very hard to move and go on a ground. I was stuck in the part where there's the ping-pong ball sound. Perhaps with some improvement on how the physic is working (with the gravity) it would be more clear. I Couldn't finish the game, but I saw enough to say it's a very good entry.

Get Over Yourself by SpawnCampGames 2020-10-13T20:02:43Z

Hello! It seems to be a nice concept, but even the tutorial is too confuse for me. I didn't understand the mechanic of this game... In my humble opinion, a tutorial more simple, step by step, to understand the features, would be required. Otherwise the art and the sound is clean.

Dance! Dance! Dance! Dance! Never-ending! by Egan Henderson 2020-10-14T08:32:56Z

Nothing new, it's a simple rythm game. And very easy ^^ But it works. For me the fact that the game never end is not enough for the theme, but There's no bugs, and for a first entry on the LD it's clearly honorable! It's already good to finish a game! Congrat to you guys!

Ballroom by StellarBearGames 2020-10-17T08:59:46Z

Very funny idea. I love the mood and the dialogus, and the fact that there's different ending, even if we crushes the dancer's feet all the time ^^ In fact, nothing new, it's just a rythm game. But the humor and mood make it special. If I have one "complain", it would be that the dance is more teleportation than dance. Whatever, thanks for this smooth and funny Ambience!

Looponaut by exopunk 2020-10-25T12:37:34Z

The Art is very polish for a Jam. The character is cool and the movements are pretty good. I tested already many games based on this concept where in the next loop there's a new feature for the character (The speed up was nice, because at the beginning the character is very slow) but I prefer when theses new fetures give you the power to explore the level in some other parts. Here it's a bit boring because I don't feel the necessity of new powers to do the same actions... Anyway. this a very polish entry. Love the rewind effects and the sound ambience. Congratulation you three!

Cleaning Bot by TriceratopsJJJ 2020-10-18T18:35:30Z

I like the mess of trash in the Main Menu. It's hypnotizing. But It's difficult to select buttons without mouse cursor. The mechanic of the game is interesting. I have seen others games based on this idea, but here the funny think is that the paths recorded are long and fine. With better art and sound it could be a nice little game.

Cycloop by Erlioniel 2020-10-12T19:15:31Z

The design of this game is very clean, interface, pixel art and animations + movements. The system of puzzle is interesting but perhaps a bit repetitive, and it's difficult to have a good overview of the actions. I resolved most of the puzzles easily by chance. And I don't understand why we are jumping in this game, because without obstacles to jump, it's exactly the same. anyway. I really like the esthetic. 5/5 for the graphic.

Sushi VS Burrito by Jhun 2020-10-25T19:08:42Z

A funny idea. I like the food theme added on the loop theme. It's a classical game, very simple but efficient, and clean. A good delirium!

SpaceLoop by Alexey Malinin 2020-10-24T16:46:29Z

I like the character and the movements are good. The ship configuration is interesting but I would say perhaps a bit too big. I'm not fond of maze exploration with limited time. Anyway. I can see that there's a lot of work.

Mike.cpp by shan.hsgames 2020-10-24T14:15:49Z

Very nice pixel art and direction. Controls are very good. Music is a bit boring. Very interesting fish eye shader. In the first screen we can go left and we loose the character. After the interaction with the character's dad, I was going back to first screen and really stuck in a loop, and sorry, I didn't find how to get out... Anyway for a first entry it's very well done! Congratulation! (Small detail : It Would be nice to use E again to close interaction text).

Infinite Nightmares by Alpasyon007 2020-10-24T16:09:15Z

Very nice art and scary ambiance. The sound fit well this mood. I would say that the character is a bit too slow. And Sometimes the E interaction doesn't work. I had to leave E then go again then it works. It took me time to understand that I had to use the mouse to drag and drop the signs to resolve the puzzle in the chest. When the character is outside (near the swing) there's a shader problem I think (black on the sprite) and I was stuck at this part. Cannot understand what to do with the torch. Anyway. It is a very good entry. (Congrat for the wind effects with the open windows).

VHS Loop by Sayuri 2020-10-16T13:10:16Z

Nice concept with the theme. The puzzle are very interesting and not easy. Good Idea the rewind VHS Style. Otherwise I find the movement of the character a bit stiff and slow. The art remind me some old games I played on my Amstrad CPC. With improvement on the art, control and animation, it could be a nice puzzle game! Good job, you two!

Dolen Days by James Clark 2020-10-13T12:28:17Z

At first I was thinking at a kind of idea close to yours. With a metro/work/sleep loop. But I thought it would be too difficult to manage for a jam. You two have done it very well! It's a boring loop not boring to play because of the small choices to do that impact the repeating life. I didn't manage it well and I lost my job. I just discover the shower at the end ^^ Anyway. Very nice entry. I love the pixel art and the music is very sweet and add a very good ambience. Congratulation!

RbLoop by OaksGuard 2020-10-24T14:33:59Z

Very good concept! I like the idea that you can hold space to pause the loop for a moment. Collecting the arrows and putting them when you want in good order. In fact it's a good prototype. It need a big polish and nice art and sound and a better music. Then it could be an good game!

Dwarven Delve by fronwewq 2020-10-20T16:34:50Z

It's an interesting adaptation of match3 kind of games. The idea of the loop around, and interactions with the character. Good idea that you can push them on the conveyor belt. The art is very strong pixel 8 bit, but characters are still nice. Good job. In my humble opinion, the problem is the control. I find it a bit flabby and many times ranges are not moving when I pushed with F. The puzzle part is a bit lost with this. With improvements on it, and lot more of reactivity, it could be a nice little game.

The pain of what never will by kutarta 2020-10-14T19:25:47Z

The screen is not fitting well on itch. It's cutted at the top. For exemple on the title screen, I can only see START and QUIT but no title. And I like the introduction, and the atmosphere of the box style like prototype art with the music, but in the game I'm just able to go down and push the big cube. Then that's it. I'm blocked...

Isolation by Tauheed Game Dev 2020-10-08T19:24:00Z

So many ways to die in a single room ^^. I like the mood and Jokes in this funny little escape game. Good pixel art and music. Funny to see how much loop we made at the end. Good entry. Congratulation.

Stranded by Stormboyyy 2020-10-12T08:05:58Z

Very nice art style and good choice for the music. The ambient is very pleasant and I like the fact that you can choose your character. But I don't understand very well the loop with the timer. Is it just a restart? interesting the fact that you can change directly the screen with arrows but it would be nice to change screen with the character too. The jump seems to be not required (too small, with no feedback). The transition between screen is a bit weird with display. And it would be good to close the path after the crashed plane to avoid the character walking on water. The loop of walk animation is not working correctly. Sorry I could'nt do anything in your game. I just see on the plan that there's something to do with the big rock in screen 2. It would be nice to understand better what is interactive with feedbacks. But congratulation for the art & mood!

S.H.I.P.S. by PhindieGames 2020-10-25T14:26:33Z

Interesting concept. I like the idea of loop between the 4 characters. The synchronisation is difficult to manage. It's a good game to work on coordination. It's very helpfull that when a character is dying it throw a donut of bullets around him that kills the enemies ^^ But in fact at the end, when only 2 characters were remaining, it was very easy to shoot everywhere around me while I always push the 2 buttons at the same time and make an infinite round loop with the thumbstick. Anyway, it's a good prototype well in the theme!

Frozen in Time by TwoHands 2020-10-19T20:25:02Z

Good mood. I like the simplicity of the atmosphere and the music. The control is good, but could be more clean (the character is a bit sleepery and I don't understand why he continue to move slowly alone) We have to be cautious when we go down in this big labyrinth, because the overview is difficult. Perhaps a little zoom out with the camera would help a bit? I didn't have patience to finish it, but I really enjoyed the aesthetic.

Stuck in the Luntic by Harrm 2020-10-08T19:43:56Z

There's an interesting atmosphere in this game. I didn't understood what was the bouncing character and I didn't have the patience to find my way in this big labyrinth. I think it need a bit more feedback and animations. And the lack of audio kill a bit the immersion. But with some ehancement i'm sure it must be a good ambient game.

LD54 — Limited Space

Just another random TD by LeReveur 2023-10-19T05:30:46Z

It's interesting to make of a tower defense on limited space. Perhaps a button to skip the time counter when we have placed all the towers. And maybe increase the speed of the movement of the enemies. Anyway, it works well for a first prototype. Well done.

Justine Time by abcdef65g 2023-10-05T12:44:14Z

I like the idea of the difference of time speed around the character. That fit the theme in a very original way. The graphics are simple but effective. But the movement is a bit slippery. It's not clean easy to go up on the ladders, and it would be helpful to stop the jump when the player release the spacebar, because the kind of level design you are making required a lot of precision. I stop to play in the level 2 because I find it too difficult. But I know it's hard to polish enough during the gamejam. But really, this idea of changing of time speed on the collision box c around the character is really cool.

Package Express by SpicyMarcus 2023-10-05T05:53:52Z

It's a well known mechanic (filling the squares with the shapes) but adding the fact that you have to fill the trucks quickly one after another is a good Idea. And you made it well, it's responding perfectly. The shapes are sticking quickly so it goes well fast. Maybe the graphics could be more stylish, but it's clean and clear. Well done.

Compress(space) by Fahim Faysal 2023-10-19T18:06:26Z

Wow. It's just...perfect! Incredible concept. The best game I have tested until now. It fit perfectly the theme. I really like the clean execution. The mechanic is really incredible. You find something! This idea has a great potential. Maybe a little bit polish for the progression, but it's already very good. Congratulation!

Tombstone terror by Netarion 2023-10-19T05:39:38Z

This is a well known concept but the fact that the ghost must be alone or in three is an interesting idea. I find it weird that there's no grid to place the shapes at first, but after playing a bit I find this freedom to put the pieces interesting to isolate the ghosts. Cute graphics and the song fit well. Bravo!

Slime Infestation by Lexyvil 2023-10-19T17:26:22Z

I really like the contrast between the limited space in the spaceship and the big space outside. Very well executed. Easy to understand. Cute pixelart. The idea to take the elements to increase the fuel is nice. The slime : funny idea :-) Good job!

Squeeze & Wiggle by YogurtTheHorse 2023-10-19T17:59:36Z

I really enjoy the graphic, and the concept fit totally the theme. The execution is very nice. The only thing is... I don't have the patience to move this snake... the movement is just...insane! But I guess I'm not the player for this kind of game. Anyway, I'm impressed by the execution. Congrat to the whole team!

ROLLiE and the Desert Drive by civmaniac 2023-10-19T17:05:34Z

The concept is very interesting. And the execution how to manage the shapes of the programs in the limited space is very clean. The fighting phase is interesting with the fact that we can refresh one time the elements, and how to combine them against the enemy programs. Nice mood. I like the humor. And I didn't find any bugs. Good job, you two! :-)

@lincolnsalles There is a SKIP button on the top left to SKIP the dialogs of the tutorial.

Mechanizyn by Lincolnsalles 2023-10-19T05:48:07Z

I like this idea and atmosphere. The fact that the energy is limited increase well the difficulty. In the second level, I felt a bit like playing flappy bird, but a bit differently with the fact that we have to manage the flying energy level. (Second level is already well difficult). I like the mood of this game. I didn't find any bugs. Well done. It's a good prototype. With more polish it can be really good.

Moneypit by Wouter52 2023-10-19T06:00:59Z

At first I was thinking: "where is the limited space? this is a labyrinth, but a big one". And then I understood the limited space of view that become more and more small when the anxiety increase. I really like this idea. The movement is good and the game is simple but efficient. And I like the difference of colors from one level to another. Good job.

Prickle by Kultuk 2023-10-04T22:24:22Z

IMG_20231005_035008.jpg

I love this kind of puzzle games. And this one is a very clever enhancement of Sokoban. Perfect for the theme (we really feel congested). The art in the rough pencil style is very cute. And I 'm impressed with the amount of levels you could managed. The progression bar is well polished. Congratulation, Sunbird Studio :-)

Micro Golf! by txomin 2023-10-03T04:46:00Z

the idea of combining mini golf with billiards is very good for this theme. In fact it's as if we were a miniature character on a pool table with the mini golf hole that moves. It's functional, with these very basic graphics but it's an assumed style. I would say, however, that it's difficult to predict the moves... There's too much luck. Look at this screen, I feel a little frustrated here... ^^

Banti: Limited Space Bar by rankb 2023-10-05T12:55:19Z

Good. It's interesting. The idea of choosing the directions and then to use each card for a limited time. In the comment you write "solve puzzles" but it seems that there's only one level isn't it? Anyway it's already good to be able to finish the concept. Now it needs more polish. And I really miss a restart et skip button.

Tiny Tower by Martin Bousquet 2023-10-19T17:42:13Z

I love this minimalist concept. It fit the theme perfectly. The pixelart is amazing. Well lisible with so few pixels. The LD progression with the explanation is very effective and I like the blink idea. I didn't understand at first that we had to destroy the bombs with x like the enemies. You did a great job for 48h Compo Game.

Free Him by Rena 2023-10-05T13:06:50Z

I like the fact that the level is an iceberg. Cute graphics. I really enjoyed the mood, the simplicity and the clarity of the pixel art. The penguin is cute and the movement is a bit tough but respond well. You already wrote the todo list of the things that you have to add to make it a real polished game. I wish you all the best for that. I am sure you can make a cute game.

FELL OUT by daveranan 2023-10-05T05:24:05Z

Cute game. I really enjoy the art with the black and white contrast. And it's nice to be able to interact with multiple choices dialogs. (Maybe a bit too long. Too many small sentences, and the voice is a bit annoying after a while). I like the fact that there's not reset when you restart. The Island is fitting the theme, but could have been even smaller to feel a more limited space. And it would be nice to be able to turn the camera to understand better where we are. The character animation is well done, but too slow. And the jump is a bit like we are jumping on the moon ^^. The collision box of the coins is too big and just a small sound would give better feedback when you take it. Anyway, it's a good game. You did a very nice work! Congratulation you two :-)

Keep It Burning by Daniel G 2023-10-19T17:48:08Z

Cute little standard game. I like the mood. Nice graphics. Maybe the animation is a bit rough. For this kind of LD you should maybe manage a jump that will stop when you leave the jump button. Then you can manage the height for different situations. Anyway, it's a good entry. Nice job.

Pocket Universe Snake by TheLastSlowpoke 2023-10-05T06:07:28Z

This snake game is one of the most classical video game. But you convert it on a 3D small world to fit even better the theme. The animation of the Snake is good but a bit more of degrees to turn the head would help to move it mo re precisely I think. And maybe the environment is a bit too dark (even if you put a light around the fruit). A bit more of textures on the ground would give more clarity. Otherwise didn't find any bugs. Good job.

Borderline by Tzeo 2023-10-19T06:10:07Z

It seems there's nothing to do? I can just move the detective and he walks very slowly. The mood is nice, but there's no game. I understand it's a first work in progress, then I wish you all the best to continue and try to develop some mechanics.
