I love the color scheme! It really sets the mood. The theme was very well represented here, a lot of trial and error with the drops of faith. Cool death sound effect. Great work!

mitsu-artemius 2020-10-05 23:47

Controls were a bit difficult, but I liked the mechanics and artstyle.

conneli 2020-10-06 04:57

That little momentum the character has goes a long way in adding to a stressful situation. The impending time limit, the atmosphere, the simple dark characters, it lends itself to the overall vibe well. It's one of the only games I've seen where unseen pitfalls haven't been a great source of frustration due to the quick restart. So stressful, but not necessarily frustrating!

elpadlos 2020-10-06 12:08

Cool game! I really liked it. Good design solution and pexel art is good )

seskon 2020-10-06 12:16

I liked the over all gameplay and art,

but i didnt like that you had to sometimes guess where you need fall in order to land on a platform because the platform is offscreen

also that you have to wait on a button and if you dont make the jump in the 2 trys you have to stand on it again

music could be more hectic

reo 2020-10-06 12:30

Really liked the atmosphere and gameplay !! Great job ^^

Thank you for your feedback guys, we really appreciate every idea, criticism or comment you bring in!

Very cool game! I like graphics style and game mechanics, it is really fun! I think it be cool if you add button pressure effect, that indicate button activation.

ryzy27 2020-10-06 14:21

Awesome!

Looks and feels great. Love the art!

Cheers!

wiskey 2020-10-06 17:26

Fun little puzzle platformer! would like the controls to be a bit more precise, but pretty good overall. Nicely done!

cyberfrank 2020-10-06 17:32

Truly love the background graphics and meteor animation! Although I wish there could've been an extra frame or two just so you can see the explosion:D Bonus points for Ableton Live!

skiwee 2020-10-06 17:36

A little more vision would be good, I cannot see anything below me and I have to memorize things or guess.

edalbung 2020-10-06 18:42

Cool platformer game!

Here are my feedback:

_Positive points - The pixel art is quite good - The ghost players feature is really cool - It is challenging, the timer adds a great tension

_Negative points - The box collider of the player seems to be a bit too big, indeed, sometimes I didn't touch the pikes but the game killed me - The character slides a bit too much after stop walking, so it gave imprecision to the gameplay

Overall: nice work!

adorikill 2020-10-06 18:44

I liked the background a lot ! Overall the pixel art really great, good job !

oleksandr-shchavinskyi 2020-10-06 19:09

Really like the game overall. Especially art style and mood. I would recommend balancing movement and difficulty a bit. The movement has a lot of acceleration and very little damping. Also probably would be a good idea to have first levels sort of tutorial and not so crazy right away.

keyurrana 2020-10-06 19:11

Nice game. The art and music is really good. The controls are a bit difficult and can be made a little tighter. Also, as others have already pointed out, the camera size can be increased to avoid leaps of faith. But still a fun game though. Good job! :)

acropolise 2020-10-06 21:57

Nice game! The vibe and gfx are amazing, good theme and idea selection, wd.

banholio 2020-10-06 22:10

I liked the game a lot, it can be improved in so many ways if you would like to continue it. A war to actually save a ghost would have been nice.

Nice work

quentin-wittevrongel 2020-10-06 22:29

Nice game. The character feels slippy but pretty easy to handle after several tries.

nema 2020-10-06 23:05

@edalbung great insight, we'll definitely be looking into what you pointed out next time!

@oleksandr-shchavinskyi thank you for your detailed answer, a tutorial might have been a good idea ^^'

@banholio good advice, we thought about that too! ^^

@everyone thanks a lot for all the feedback and praise! I cannot answer everyone but we feel really honoured you guys took the time to comment! <3

marinee 2020-10-06 23:07

interesting irea with several times trying! I'd liked it! very good gameplay.

pichuscute0 2020-10-07 05:37

The physics make platforming very difficult. While I understand speed is needed for something like this, the slow down after you stop pressing the button means you fall off platforms very often. You also keep jumping repeatedly if you hold down the jump button, which is another major problem for a platformer. Otherwise, I especially enjoyed the background art here. Being able to see that meteor in the distance was both really cool and really striking.

saniae 2020-10-07 10:48

Il like the art and the stressful and yet cool atmosphere. The color scheme was really nice and the last two shadows showing your past ways is pretty nice too. Was kinda cool to play and make me restart so much time ahah. Nice job !

jakob-reborn 2020-10-07 16:55

Loved the music - one little thing - it was too quiet so it's crucial to turn it down after you've played the game not to make your ears bleed. I really liked the graphics and overall vibe. After second orange pressure plates i couldn't find out how to proceed. Still it captivated me for quite a while and i enjoyed playing it.

usenrame 2020-10-07 20:33

Music is the really made! And game is so good in general, hope it's continue to develope!

animaster 2020-10-08 09:17

I liked the atmosphere, and artstyle if polish it a little could be something unique. Great job!

frigow 2020-10-08 16:39

I really dig the pixel art aesthetic, as well as the plateformer puzzling, so that was a hit for me :D Maybe you could rework the slippiness of the character a little, but other than that a very solid entry!

chris-hall 2020-10-11 06:21

Really great concept. I like that you can't always see the hazards you are jumping into because that is a good reason to die and try again knowing that little bit more. The pressure plate mechanic is awesome but I had to read the webpage to realize what was happening - if the pressure plate reacted visually to your character being there, and maybe if there was a platform that appeared at the first plate that you could see, it would become clear immediately. The platforming itself feels wonky in a "platforming using a physics system" way - there are a lot of platform jumps that I barely made every time that felt like they could be a bit easier. Overall this is a super cool entry. Good concept and you nailed the aesthetic. Awesome work!

aerloth 2020-10-17 21:48

Ooof, the controls/platforming is a little bit frustrating. I liked the beep sound when respawning a lot, it was fun to respawn super fast and give it another go.

I like the mood and 【aesthetic】, would be cool if the music didn't restart every time you die!

I would love to see this evolve into a more complete thing - and to join the ranks of celeste and VVVVV!

matootsy 2020-10-19 20:25

Good mood. I like the simplicity of the atmosphere and the music. The control is good, but could be more clean (the character is a bit sleepery and I don't understand why he continue to move slowly alone) We have to be cautious when we go down in this big labyrinth, because the overview is difficult. Perhaps a little zoom out with the camera would help a bit? I didn't have patience to finish it, but I really enjoyed the aesthetic.
