Very nice graphics and effects loved it :)
small enemies need a bit work, they feel kinda wired, maybe make them have less health or smth to increase the overall speed of the game

Very nice graphics and effects loved it :)

Awesome art and nice sound effects, neat little game :)
The green stuff was a little confusing at the beginning, I was thinking that it shows the direction of the path
Sound is very noisy for me
Oh yeah otherwise good idea :)
"rest in pie father" at least he had some cake before he died :)
great game
Great game, love the console, everything looks polished and feels nice
only thing that could have been done better is the implementation of the theme but then we might not have gotten such a nice game :)
oh yeah and you wrote "A / W" instead of "A / D" ;D
casual battle with a pickaxe against a demon in a cursed labyrinth, thanks for the experience, was a fun little game :)
I liked the game, looks polished, would like to see some more variation tho
Fun game, well done.
Only issue i had was with the screenshake and the camera movement, its sometimes hard to place loops exactly where you want them to go
interesting idea, graphics are nice
got stuck a lot with the rock, not sure if i did something wrong
needs a bit more variation
Amazing artstyle, really nice touch with the bird sounds, felt really cosy, wish there was more :)
cool idea, was a little too hard for me tho
upgrading should maybe pause the game or have a bigger pause between waves and indicate that, didnt really had much time to do it
Interesting idea, was fun to play around :)
a preset would probably help to understand it better
Interesting idea, needs a bit of polish tho
The command list should have a scroll bar or a restriction
the robot is a bit to slow for my taste
Game looks nice, music is good too, combat needs some improovement tho, and maybe break up the repetiviness somehow
combat is bit stiff but the rest of the game is well done, loved the voice over :)
very cool puzzel, once i got the hang of it i couldnt stop playing and finally did it :)
The undo key is nice but when you want to undo a lot of things it takes very long so thats something you could improove, everything else was good :)
Game is ver fun, i like the artstyle, the shooting of the robots is very satisfying
the movement is a bit clunky for the map
yeah for me as well
Nice Idea, character is very cute, i didnt really want to kill him :(
My problem was that at the beginning it had no real meaning for me what card I use, I just took a random one because I didnt know where to go. It worked out at the the end but it also was more fun at the end because i had to plan what card i use. So maybe it would be better to have a smaller level or maybe a map so you can better see where you need to go.
Nice idea, was sad when der was such a sudden end to it
it sometimes feels a bit clunky that you first have to walk to turn around so that u can shoot in the direction you want
Really nice idea, but very hard, enjoyed it tho.
would like to see an instruction
home button doesnt seem to work for me
What i liked: - Graphics are nice - Soundeffects - the variety of the puzzle elements - instructional gameplay - feels polished
What i didnt like - Sound was very loud when starting the game, after adjusting it went to normal volumes as if the values are diffrent from starting up and the standard settings - did not really see the connection to the while-loop, just a limitation in steps i can walk. The idea is good tho, its just that if there wasnt the text with the while statet above, the game would still play the same because the gameplay itself does not really get affected by it
An example of how i would improove the issue I stated: have the programm text given (a while loop with the elements as code version) and you can drag the elements from the code into the game (like your level editor and a given level layout just with a limitation so to speak)
(played html version)
the beginning with the big red thing in the middle was very confusing, thought the game was broken, or is it? enjoyed the game tho :)
awesome art, and great music, gameplay feels good but the level is a bit too narrow or the enemy spawnrate to high for my taste
Love the Artstyle, not a fan of horror games but i guess that wasnt too much horror :P, defenitly set the mood tho, good job :)
should there something happen when you get the wand?, because at that point I didnt know how to continue
graphics and sound are good tho, and its an interesting idea :)
Game looks awesome, gamplay itself is a bit frustrating tho, since you dont know what trap kills what and there are so many diffrent enemies at once, so its hard to keep track of them
I liked the idea, especialy the voice acting and that you had a tutorial
- after tutorial all text was gone tho :(
- some items did not seem to combine, not sure if that is the intention
(played the html version)
very realistic game, to bad there is no voting for realism
Very cool idea, not sure if platformer is the right choice tho, maybe a more story driven game where you dont need precise movement would make more sense? Well done non the less :)
cool idea, I like the art and music
I did not see a real objective tho, why i had to kill those cute little things :(
at one time i killed all of them but nothing happend and they just respawned
you wrote 'S' instead of 'D' to move right
I really like the textures
hmm controls dont seem to work for me, is it A and D? it seems if i hold the key it charges up or something, feels very wired.
game looks cool, wish i could play it properly
oh to bad, dont have a gamepad :( @szkocka
very nice idea, enjoyed the game, especially the effect when the loop ends
-GUI was sadly not scaling so i had a hard tim reading the stuff
-walking sounds irregular, sometimes stopping for a sec
-when walking back to a previous objective you will ovveride your current objective
-you can get "infinite" time when you just complete the same objective for several times
(played html version)
Fun game, cool idea, a bit too difficult tho :)
Cool game, would be cool if the lines form a picture or something
sometimes the circle cant be moved directly, just after a few trys, even tho there is a connection
@gilad-bar-ilan Thanks!
@stormcat thank you for your feedback :)
yes thats a good idea :), first i started out to give some help over the prints but i thought that would be too easy
@dunderroffe thank you, hope you made it in time :D
yeah i wanted to change that too, but didnt get a good idea at that time. Maybe it would have been better if i had different ascii art but it took me already a bit to get the current one to look good, so I didnt want to do it all over.
@meek-bits thanks :) i dont really understand what you mean, the output of these lines are at the bottom. Do you mean that it should be more obvious?
@sirred thank you
@james-joubert Thanks for the detailed feedback. Im very happy that you have completed my game!
yeah I once had a comment pointing out that commented stuff will be repeated but i guess i took it out, next game I will have a better instruction :)
I had some bugs while getting the sound to work so i was happy that the game still worked at the end. So I didnt want to add extra music to it because my nerves very already at the limit.
@evogengames Thank you :)
@caeonosphere thanks, thats a cool game, thank you for pointing it out :)
@maychant that is strange, maybe unity messed up the layers of the UI because underneath is a black panel, but not sure, have you tried to reload the game? That should be the same problem @meek-bits pointed out. Hope not everybody had that problem... Just getting back into Unity after a while so im kind of a noob regarding UI.
@monkosum Thanks for your feedback! Yeah my initial idea was a drag and drop system but due to time constraints i went the save way but your idea is also a good idea, maybe if I make it generally more like a text editor. Can you point out what you didnt like about the visuals?
sry that question wasnt directed to you, your point is totally correnct, there should not be any need for counting, the question was for @monkosum, i copied your name into the wrong paragraph, i corrected it now
@spotline thanks for the feedback, yeah it was also very tedious to think of all these combinations with the same puzzle elements, a few more would have definitely helped or fewer levels, but i did the art first and the puzzle elements/levels on the fly. So there should have been more planning i guess.
was a bit to hard, but i finally made it
it is an interesting idea, could not really make practical use of the mechanic tho.
when maximizing you can see the full map, not sure if that is intendet.
Nice piece of Art :)
i like the voiceover and the perspective, but did not really understand what i have to do
collision does not work properly
the link states "sourcecode" but its the actual game
the game itself looks interesting but could not really play it because the key layout is very bad on an european keyboard
i like the idea, a bit too hard tho
there was no sound
when resetting it feels very slow, should maybe add a button to increase speed if player wants to
very depressing game :( well done tho :)
enjoyed the game, the aliens are very cute
could not finish level 4, even tho i had caught 5 Grongsnippers one time and several times 4
edit: in the menu it shows that i have completed the level
I think this was my first text adventure and i really liked it :) the artstyle in your images is also very cool. Well done.
i like the music and the graphics the jumping is kind of slow/moon like, considering you are in a hurry to get to work
I liked the over all gameplay and art,
but i didnt like that you had to sometimes guess where you need fall in order to land on a platform because the platform is offscreen
also that you have to wait on a button and if you dont make the jump in the 2 trys you have to stand on it again
music could be more hectic
cant run the linux version :(
Not sure if it was intented but you can grab monsters drag them over where other monsters are release and grab again sou you can basically collect every monster on the screen.
Im also curious if there is a deeper meaning or thought behind this or if its just wired enough to smash monsters into a wall.
Very cute game, was also fun to play!
For me the main problem was that the "fog" was very close so you can see very far and for that the combat was not polished enough. Also that when you need to go downwards the camera doesnt rotate so you see even less.
I liked the overall style of the game but it needs some balancing as the other people suggested befor me.
Sadly did not have any sound but the art is really lovely. This could make a great game with some more gamplay elements :)
I like the overall concept of the game. The random spawning can make it a bit frustrating tho. Maybe you could add a way to push falling blocks to give the player a bit more control. The art fits well. :)
Enjoyed it, I have now alot more respect to slimes, they are hard to kill :D
I like the concept of the game, and the editor is well made. But I dont like that you cant delete parts of your fish, you should at least be able to upgrade them. Also, the simulation ist basically just wating so maybe that needs some more interaction. Overall good entry :) Ps: Grüße aus Lübeck ;D
Flashing the small enemies was really too easy since they only needed 1 flash, you could just walk through the area with your light on and the job was done since they were all on one spot. Maybe seperate them and dont replenish the flashlight while you are in one area, or add a cooldown or something since you can just tab it fast and you have it basicall constantly on. This will result in the Player to be more careful with using it and you can make more use of the world structure, because in the end, the structure was just used to sperate the world into smaller levels. This is fine but then you should not indicate the player that there are other exits if the game is still linear in the end. So yeah maybe the structure was a bit too much for a jam game to make use of and could have been left out to focus on other things.
The timer felt also kind of strange since it was to no use for the gameplay or story. I could see that you would want to get out of the forest fast but then the timer should tick down instead of up.
Game looks really nice tho and has potential if you add more to the world, overall you did a good job :)
I got an error loading the page, and wasnt able to play :(
Would be cool if you could find the upgrades throughout the world and not just do 1000 attemts and buy all of them.
Really enjoyed the game tho :)
Great Idea! :)
I liked that the enemies drop the "portal" to the next floor, if you build up on that idea i think you could get some cool labyrith where you have to kill the right mobs to find the exit or smth :)
Enjoyed the game. Combat needs a bit of work, felt a bit stiff. The rest of the game was really well made :)
Made it to depth 223.1072M. The intro scene felt nice. Graphics looks also good. If it had more gameplay, i can see myself playing it for a while.
Did not seem to find a way to fill up oxygen, i could only upgrade the tank. I felt like an upgrade should come with a refill (I guess thats the grayed out button in the top left that did not work)
Shooting fish only created bubbles, so not sure if its bug that the torpedos did not display.
Would have liked the explanation under the game window, inside the game window :D
I reached exactly depth 300 but i needed to go 1m further to win so i assume your if-statment is > 300 not >= 300 as the winning condition was stated in the window at the beginning ;D
I did not understand what the skills are for, i just hired the cheapest guys and mined my way down. Is it just not fully implemented or did i do it accidently right? In the end I didnt even feel like it would have made a diffrence if I would have just sticked with the 3 guys i bought at the beginning.
Overall the game is interesting and the experience was good but I think you could have left out a few things and then focus a bit more on polishing or adding more variety to the basics, a simple polished game is alot better then a game with lots of/complex gameplay mechanics but also having lots of bugs.
The Bloom is too much for me, i was feeling like loosing my vision but nice visual style and mood :)
Really enjoyed the game, wish the graphics would tell some more Story. The Text and Inventory felt really nice. The jumping from the tower almost made me ragequit tho
You can "cheat" by placing all objects on top of each other. But very uniqe idea, love it!
Very funny idea, nice Art and the music is on point, very annyoing like my cat used to be when he wanted something, combat only needs a bit of balancing but overall excellent job!
edit: ok i just realized that i had the game open several times so the music overlapped and it sounded very annoying... yeah but it worked well with the game :D
Enjoyed playing it! Fits the theme very well and i liked the music :)
I was a bit confused at the beginning since i used the num keys to switch spells, witch the UI showed but it actually didnt work. Glad i played a second time to figure out you can use the scroll wheele too, and with that it works properly. Other than that, some rooms felt a bit hard but thats probably because i am not too familiar with the enemies. Ver nice pixel art tho and i very much like dungeon crawler, overall nice Entry! :)
the attacks themselfs are nicely made but the overall combat feels a bit clunky to me. The Art is also nice. Overall nice entry :)
The movement felt wired sometimes, but very nice pice of art. I also liked the overall gameplay idea.
@cyanowski Thank you!
@fonkin Thanks, glad you liked it. I wanted to add more content but I was running out of Time.
@squeg-inc Thank you for your feedback! I think if I had turned of the visibility of the cursor, the shooting would be a bit better since the rotation doesnt match the mapping of the cursor because of the camera angle but it defenitly also can have some more tweaking.
@philip45 yeah i was fiddling around with a music generator but couldnt make it in time :( But glad you still had fun! :)
@jnur thanks for your feedback and the suggestions!
@lb01 cool that you noticed i only used cubes, and glad you liked it :)
@brusnika yeah I sadly had not enough time to balance the game properly, but glad you liked it anyway :)
@moirai Awesome, glad you liked it. Thanks for playing!
@tyler-law Thank you!
@fabdynamic Thats nice to hear, thanks for playing! Havent done anything with VR yet, but I defenitly want to try it out, so maybe in the next GameJam ;D
Very nice game! Gameplay itself can be improoved, but for a jam its good enough for me. Was nice to be able to do something while reading and also the hartbeat responding to the story was a great addition.
A lot of buttons, it think if you play long enought you maybe get used to it but it makes the game very hard. Awesome graphics tho!
I often had problems seeing the broken boards, maybe a little more color would have helped, but yeah I understand that with 8 bits its kind of limitited. But overall I enjoyed playing it and got a time of 2.24! (i sadly missed one coin)
@kurakurture thank you for the feedback! I initially planned the drone scene only as a transition so that's why it's closing every time. I sadly ran out of time so I couldn't implement the missing scene :(
@blockerz thanks for giving feedback!
yeah that clipped text is odd... I actually set a fixed resolution so something like that does not happen...
I created the hole game with only basic primitives that are already in Unity so that's why it looks a bit wonky
I actually only had 10 hours but it was 10 hours of fun :)
