Very cute. I could not find more than 1 character but the mood of the game makes want to understand where I am and why. Very cool music too !

Very cute. I could not find more than 1 character but the mood of the game makes want to understand where I am and why. Very cool music too !
The aesthetics of the game really make you want to dive into it, it was very pleasant!
Nice! I didn't get what to do, but graphics and music are awesome!
Indeed a very cute game, I spent much more time on it than I anticipated that I would do, even though I was just walking and exploring. Very peaceful, and very original with the hand drawn graphics!
Sadly did not have any sound but the art is really lovely. This could make a great game with some more gamplay elements :)
One of the great things that I find in this game, is that after wandering for like 10 minite(i kept it in the background and did something else), I looked up to the sky, then it presents a unique view with the sky surrounded by tree tops. This game surely creates a nice mood! 2.png
Really nice mood, the watercolor like graphics are very pretty, the change of the surroundings kept me playing for a while just trying to see what would appear next. Maybe other things besides the elements of the environment could change as well like the color of the fog. An other thing is that there is a lack of feeling of control, perhaps giving a button to "run" or just to change the pace of the walk could help with that.
If this game doesn't get a 5 star Mood then I don't know what does. Truly inspirational stuff. I've ran around for a pretty long time to see everthing. Sadly I only encountered "Spirit nr. 5" (I've looked in the art files after I played I'm sorry) and thought the boulders you see when you enter the bluish terrain (Looked really nice btw) where corpses of Nr.5 :(
I also really liked the music. Really took the Breath of the Wild approach of playing piano notes at random times (At least I think it's random) and ran with it. I seriously love it. Good job.
@katsuhira Oh no! D:
Now that you point it out yeah it looks like their corpses, not intended though :|
(Beside the spirit n°5 that you can find very early/easely, I wanted for the others to be rare and memorable, I'll think about maybe tweak up the rates)
I love the graphics and the mood! Looking through the comments i realize that theres apparently charachters you can meet. I didn't find any though, even with many minutes of walking around. The music is really atmospheric too.
The fact that you can walk straight and never get stuck is great! I love the moods and the details. Very nice experience!
What a charming little spiritual adventure!
This game looks beautiful and another OpenGL game :) I would love to play a linux build if you were to make one!
Actually I was able to run it using wine but only with a 32 bit wineprefix! FYI for anyone else on Linux
Wow, this game is gorgeous. Was a great way to relax after the jam. Great job!
It's a beautiful game, but very open. Also the mouse was stuck inside the game so I couldn't close it, or even click on things outside the game, until I used ctrl alt del. An escape feature would be really appreciated. But it feels like you have an interesting experience started here.
Very unique look and style. The mood was really relaxing with the music.
Very peaceful. I loved the look of the vegetation, and the way it would gradually transition to a thicker, then stranger forest as you wandered. I managed to find just one denizen.
Very nicely made and I really liked the watercolor/handpainted look of the environment. Coming across the characters was a pretty neat experience and felt whimsical. The way the trees almost seemed to part for you as you walked was a very nice touch. The escape button doesn't seem to work and that's probably the only negative thing I can say. Overall the mood was right on the money and I had a nice chill time walking through the forest. Nice Job!
Very pretty game. I liked that there was this sense of progress as you would see some plants and following them you would see them more, at least that is how it felt.
@vknauss I actually have an Ubuntu dual boot for this specific purpose but I have been lazy, I'll try and do that soon!
@lelulagames Oh yeah, I have to capture the mouse for the first person controls, if nothing goes wrong you can exit the game by holding Esc
@ruddgasm I wonder if it does work on other computers but I actually have added a nice fade to white as you hold Esc to quit, but maybe it was not clear enough that you have do hold it ^^'
Incredible artstyle! Makes me want to try watercolor for my next game jam
@phafou Wow that's so nice, especially coming from someone who just made such a beautiful game, thanks!
I want to play this game forever, it is just so relaxing.
cool graphic style! i wish there were at least slightly more reason to keep on exploring
@she-wrote Thanks! That's so sweet! ^^
@substain Sadly doing everything except for the audio that's all the content I've managed to put in. But I do feel the same
Saw your post on the front page and I HAD to play it. What a beautifully atmospheric game. The slow progression into a more and more alien looking world was very well done.
And the art. So many art assets! Wow, great job to the artist! The music was very fitting for the atmosphere as well.
I was only able to find one denizen, a worm looking guy. Are there more types of denizens? Its appearance was unexpected but very cool. Made the world seem even more alive / alien.
Congrats on creating an absolutely beautiful experience!
Wonderful artistic direction. It was such a feeling walking through the forext. Felt so peaceful!
@slurpcanon @katsuhira @yeppe @logan @keithswanger I've uploaded a tweaked version if you are still curious about find out about the remaining little folks ^^
I love the art style and the mood it creates! If you added some more things to explore, I would definitely play it for a while. I also like that you made a game that just makes people feel better, which we probably all need right now...
Wow the game feel, the graphics and the music make it so good together ! I really like the fact that trees move as you move, it looks like a royal entrance, but in a forest. Impressive, good job to the team, it's a great game, I loved it !
@rongefilet Thank you very much, I was able to see everyone now! :)
Awesome! This time I was able to find a few more buddies! A yellow four-legged bud, a flying red bat bud, a purplish alien bud with antlers, and a seahorse bud.
Thanks again for making this beautiful experience. Definitely one of the most memorable I've played this jam.
Wish I could play, a webGL version would be awesome next time if possible! - mac user
@jacobrutter *edited out, said harsh things I'm not proud of and I am sorry about*
@rongefilet I'm sorry I touched a nerve, I didn't mean to. I honestly like playing everyone's Jam entries and webGL is the easiest way I've seen to allow the largest subset of players to play. Again, sorry I offended, it wasn't intentional.
@jacobrutter I'm sorry, It did touch a nerve for and I was already down for some personal reasons but that's no way to talk to strangers on the internet, again I'm sorry.
But yeah you can have a look at Wine (https://www.winehq.org/) which allow for windows software to run on Linux or MacOS it's far from 100% reliable but you should be able du play a good amount of lightweight jam games only available as windows executables.
Loved the relaxing atmosphere of the game. Walked around found a creature(jam version), audio felt soothing. It was so relaxing I melted on my chair almost dozed off twice. Really loved the way trees behaved giving the lost in deep forest vibe. Now onto only issue for some reason after exiting game with "ESC" it is creating empty files in snd folder going to restart to see if it gets fixed. Also peeked into img folder really cutesy creatures nice.
I really enjoyed this.
The sparse piano felt fairly perfect for the vibe I suspect you were going for, and I really like the watercolor visuals. My only minor complaint is that I could only find one of the sprites. I can imagine so many wonderful possibilities for this project. I hope you'll continue to work on it, I played the post jam version so I assume you have future plans for it?
Very cool atmosphere/mood. Love the art!
hi! i'm posting this in the middle of a playthrough. right now i'm standing by the purple, horned spirit in the blue forest! i really love this so far. the gameplay isn't riveting but the atmosphere, and the cute spirits you find along the way are really great. also, i'm pretty sure out of all the games i've rated, this one fit the theme the best. i didn't expect this to be so deep when i begun playing it and only saw the same tree, but as i got further i realised it was more to it than that! great game!! (also the sound design is great at times, love the small jingles here and there)
i like the aesthetic and the atmosphere a lot, but i feel like it needed a little bit more to break up the monotony. i appreciate a game that isnt more than exploring a nice environment, but it was pretty repetitive
Graphics were really cool, music and mood were great also, it all created something very pleasant! This was such an enjoyable adventure ! Wish that we had more interaction with the world even if it was small, on details or something like that ! Thank you for the game !
Very beautiful game 🌳
The mood is perfect, the art is incredible and very inspiring, and the work on audio is fantastic (same game without that great footstep sound would be something else). I am conflicted between a feeling that it was a bit too slow and a respect toward that design choice you made of forcing the player to take its time.
Thanks a lot I loved it 💕
So cute! I loved the relaxing and pleaceful exploring aspect of it as well as the "fake 3d" incorporated in it, mixing 2d assets with 3d environment. A solid entry!
Hey! [I played your game on stream!](https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1023963888?t=02h24m43s)
Very nice, serene little experience. Soothing vibes all around. I only wish the music was more subtle, to blend in a little bit better with the ambient :)
