LD46 — Keep it alive

Efi by ludipe 2020-04-24T12:01:56Z

Awesome job on this one. Everything feels very smooth and pleasant, the gameplay is fun, quite hard but not frustrating. The level design is good. I liked the art.

Thanks a lot for the game!

Junior Juggle by miltage 2020-04-22T22:26:02Z

Great job! It's very simple, very well done, and perfectly enjoyable for a few games! I hate babies and yet I loved the sounds this one made and didn't really left that grenade fall on him on purpose I swear.

Thanks for the game!

Defend Your Plant by bloodyaugust 2020-04-21T07:09:23Z

I had a lot of fun ! Good job on the game feel.

Keep The Vibe Alive (VR) by killthealias 2020-05-09T17:37:09Z

Awesome job!

Very simple, yet incredibly well executed. Couldn't find the fifth one, but had a great time anyway!

Thank you for the game!

Glory to Tamo by Krassenstein 2020-04-23T11:23:46Z

Great job!

I really love the art style and sound design, the animation when washing Tamo is awesome. The rules are simple and easily understandable! Too bad you have to change key to confirm giving an item or quitting the inventory.

Thank you for making this game!

Me And My Bat by zguba 2020-04-22T18:22:42Z

That grandma is dope! I loved the humor and tone of the game, with the music, animation and character arts coming together. The controls feel good, and the indicators to show you where gas can be found is a very good idea. Thanks for the game!

Life by esenti 2020-05-09T15:58:13Z

Great job! I saw several games based on the game of life, and the concept here is one of my favorites.

I feel the player might have a bit too much life, I deliberately tried to die and it took me a lot of time!

Thanks for the game.

Birb Island by ursagames 2020-04-26T09:41:00Z

Great job!

The game feels very nice to play, the crafting / inventory mechanic is working fine and is not overly complicated. The animations look great. For sure it is missing some music, invisible walls, and some clearer indication of win and lose condition, but it is already a very good Compo game as is! :bird:

Kreep Alive by AViTT 2020-05-12T08:59:55Z

Good job on making a game. As stated, the game feel is lacking, and you never know when you hit someone without looking at your score.

I had trouble with the keyboard and mouse controls, sorry I do not hae any controller available.

Keeping Your Fire Alive by Louis Hong 2020-05-11T21:37:01Z

Great job!

The gameplay is here just to be part of an ambiance and a short narrative, and it fits well together. The eyes are really frightening and questioning.

As said by other, the text speed is awfully slow. I really tried but couldn't stand waiting so long to see the end of the ending. Too bad, It got me intrigued!

Thanks for the game.

Nest Guard VR by Louspirit 2020-04-26T13:14:32Z

Great job, this is very impressive for a game made in a jam. The audio and visuals are nice and the rules and controls are very simple.

However, not only you need a VR headset to play it, but you also need a Nasa super computer I guess! My GTX1070 ran at 100% to give me around 20 FPS. So I guess to get those stable 120 FPS you would need something at least 6 times more powerful than a 1070?

Thank you for the game!

Tiny Fragments by Daniel Moreno 2020-04-24T11:46:29Z

Incredible job on this one!

The game design is simple and good, the level design is on point, the art is great, all little animations and input feedbacks are polished, the ending comes when it needs to. This gave me a real Nitrome vibe.

Thank you for the game, you can be really proud, I hope someday I can be as talented!

Keith's Flint & Steel by johnnysix 2020-05-12T09:35:33Z

Great job :fire:

After playing it a few times and winning, the mechanics are still a mystery to me! What does the fox do? Where exactly do you need to place yourself to hit a tree? Is the hit efficiency random?

I did not need to know everything to enjoy it though. The art is great, the music is nice, visual and audio feedback are there, and what I liked the most : the win and lose condition are very clear.

Thanks for the game!

untitled mob game by Subsage 2020-05-10T20:25:39Z

who made dis?

I really liked the idea, I was just moving around and yelling food names to anger people. I guess if someone in the street next to me kept yelling "MILK!" I might get angry too. Great art, great music. Too bad you could not finish this in time!

MACHINA by Harry Alissavakis 2020-04-25T08:32:52Z

Awesome job! Everything feels really polished, the art is coherent and very well done, the visual and audio feedbacks are on point. The not so simple rules are very well explained, and the narration makes you want to go further. Thanks for the game!

cloudy with achance of unicorns by alphapolygon 2020-04-21T06:50:14Z

Good job! The music feels nice, the art is beautiful, the rules and controls are easily understood, and there is a decent layer of progression when replaying.

Feeding Mr Biggs by Marco Stagni 2020-05-09T21:42:12Z

Great job! that's a lot of work for a game done in two days. It feels pretty polished and ambitious for a compo game.

The controls are very intuitive and the small noise makes them feel responsive and fun.

I found the food packages hard to identify, and I was not quite sure of when Biggs' needs change or why.

Thanks for the game!

For Ducks' Sake by GaryS 2020-05-12T09:27:17Z

Wow, great job :duck:

The pixel art is very very good. The sounds are also spot on, they are quite funny and they give a great audio feedback. All hitboxes (bullets and gnomes) are big and convenient.

The game concept is simple and to the point, which let you polish a lot of small aspects and get to this great game feel. Great job on not falling into the classic trap of wanting to add other mechanics or enemies or anything.

I loved the erratic movement of the ducklings. This gives a great "living" feelings, and is not too random so it still does not feel like you can lose by bad luck.

On my crappy computer, the game started lagging when around 2 minutes when the screen was full of gnomes yelling HIHIHI.

Thanks for the game, and again, good job!

Embers by Anuke 2020-04-25T14:36:56Z

Incredible job on this one!

The art is really good, the visual and audio feedbacks are great, the gameplay is simple enough with a bit of cryptic discoveries with the crafting and purple rocks. I had trouble understanding the difference between Amber's life and the fire life at first.

Thank you for the game, I liked it a lot!

Seeking Power by gustavo.christino 2020-05-12T16:02:24Z

Good job!

I liked the idea of different movement options at different charge levels. The animated characters are cool, too bad you didn't have time to make a tilemap or animate this cute phone.

The jump does not feel very good, and the bug where you get stuck at one level when jumping in a wall is pretty bad but pretty classic when you let the default physics material on your player.

Thanks for the game, I had fun!

Keep It Aflame by Epono 2020-05-09T18:58:42Z

Great job!

Gwyn makes nice noise when it is happy :fire: The game is simple and quick to understand. The "only one ressource" + timed towers are very nice ideas. I liked the length of the game.

As you said, the game is quite unbalanced, and would benefit a lot if you had more time to put on this aspect!

Thanks for the game.

BLOOM ETERNAL by samboyer276 2020-04-21T11:53:01Z

That pink watering can is cute as hell, no wonder he wants to drop the gun in favor of gardening! Cute and clear art, good little intro to get the concept, AWESOME menu and nice auto aim feature. I struggled with the camera. You did great, congrats!

Perish alive by Lyrcaxis 2020-05-10T20:50:13Z

Wow I loved so many things about this.

The visual art and music are spot on: beautiful and clear. The ramp up in difficulty is very well tuned. I love the random look and names of my cute crew too.

The mouse only controls become quite hard when the game goes long, and sometimes the camera zooms in on a weird spot and make you lose a bit of precious time.

Thanks a lot for the game I really enjoyed it. Great job :two_hearts:

By The Fire's Light by selavy 2020-04-21T11:27:33Z

Great theme interpretation on this tiny game ! Controls are a bit clunky, but overall the rules are pretty intuitive. The text introduction is nice. On my first playthrough, I died a second after spawning, and when restarting I understood that wolves often spawn scarily close to you and inside the fire zone.

GOLKIA by Szieberth Adam 2020-05-01T22:08:25Z

Great job! The compo version is a very simple, the presentation is clear and the game is intriguing.

Plantsitter by FloYams 2020-05-09T15:09:51Z

Great job!

The game looks incredible, every sprite and every animation looks great. Good job. The music is very nice and fitting too. The gameplay is a bit complex but not overwhelming. What is overwhelming though is the timing and pacing of the game. Everything gets really stressful really fast, and this is a bit sad considering the overall smooth and relaxing tone and theme.

Maybe different win and lose conditions might do the job? Maybe some tweaks to the speed of incoming customers? I feel like this game can go a long way if you find a solution to this.

Thank you for the game!

Ethereal Tale by Optimans 2020-04-22T18:02:28Z

Great job on this game!

I really loved the music (especially the second one), and the visual are clear. I would have loved more feedback when missing, especially on the third song where I couldn't hear the audio feedback because of the song. I also felt that the timing where pretty hard at first but then got used to them!

Thank you for the game!

Bioternity by Maskrosen 2020-04-22T18:12:02Z

Hey @lilachoklad and @maskrosen!

I really would love to play your game, but when I try to open it on Windows 10, nothing happens! I also tried to run it as administrator but no luck either. Is there something I can do?

Bioternity by Maskrosen 2020-04-22T18:29:04Z

no luck with either options... I tried all the compatibility settings I could, all the options, and also unzipping it with 7zip. I don't even get an error message so I cannot really help you more than that, sorry...

Bioternity by Maskrosen 2020-04-22T21:12:51Z

Hey @maskrosen! Launching the desktop-1.0 file directly with java launched the game. Thank you, the game is beautiful and I had to restart a few times before getting the equilibrium right. Good job and thanks for the game! :bird:

Trending Beasts by Siuler LM 2020-05-12T14:38:24Z

Great job!

The idea is really good and very well executed. I love the visuals, and seeing those small people move is very satisfying.

Towards the end, it gets really tiring very fast. Maybe the win condition should be lowered for a simple fix, or think of something smarter to keep it interesting past the cool mechanic discovery and awesome art.

Thanks for the game :snowman:

No Fall, Beach Ball by MightMakeAGoodGameSomeday 2020-04-21T11:35:43Z

Cool interpretation of the theme. The first person camera and the empty blue sky made it very difficult for me to understand where the ball was and were I was. Good luck for your computer science exam :white_check_mark:

Trump Crisis Simulator 2020 by Lyje 2020-04-25T20:12:42Z

Great job!

I had my share of laugh when playing. As stated, some music and a bit more variety in text and you have something really beautiful, the greatest game, purely american and huge.

Thank you for the game!

Keep Her Light by arche-san 2020-05-10T14:50:37Z

Wonderful job!

The visual and audio art are really good. The writing is great too and makes you go through different emotions. The gameplay is simple and the rules become clear fast.

I like the explanations given when you do nothing, but I personally would have needed clearer ones, I am not very good at this and I often had to click everywhere to get the next bit of story!

Thanks a lot for the game!

Feed Charles by mmmcgill1232 2020-04-21T12:04:54Z

Love the visuals! Charles is cute and very well animated, good job! The controls feel awkward at first but good after some time, even if I really feel that the magnet range is frustratingly small. Great job!

Keep What Alive by Valeth2124 2020-05-12T14:28:01Z

Great job! This is very very ambitious. The art and music and sounds are all very very good. The narration works well. It is a bit sad to be put in a classic genre stereotype of "man defending woman and children", but other than that it is pretty well written and disturbing. Thanks for the game and great job again!

Missing Pieces by Abu Sabiq Mahdi 2020-05-10T14:22:32Z

Wow, this is amazing :two_hearts:

I loved the color palette, the music, the calm and nice aesthetic given by all the visuals and audio coming perfectly together. Each level feels different and the length feels perfect.

Thanks a lot for the game!

RushBomb by Gelgavish 2020-04-21T11:44:12Z

Hey! I get the following error when trying to launch the game: The code execution cannot proceed because VCRUNTIME120_1D.dll was not found. :x: I tried on windows 10 by just downloading and extracting. Keep me posted!

RushBomb by Gelgavish 2020-04-22T11:59:43Z

Good job! It worked this time! I had fun, and the level design and general progression is very well thought out. The look and texts give this game a strange feeling, so much that when it crashed at the firewall level I didn't even know if this was intentional, and I kinda don't want to know. Thanks for the game.

Chronocipher by Instafluff 2020-04-25T19:04:20Z

Wow, this is incredible!

Not only the quality of it is through the roof for a jam game, but this game have so many good ideas that would make it a wonderful detective game nevermind the time it took to make. This is so good, plus the twitch integration and the replayability...

Thank you for this game, you are a really great team!

Living Light by zubspace 2020-05-12T10:10:30Z

Great job!

The mechanics and gameplay are very clear from the start. The level transitioning is very good. I liked the light mechaninc, and it is especially good in maze like levels. Great job on implementing a leaderboard.

Thanks for the game!

Plant Boy by cannedveg 2020-05-01T21:46:39Z

Great job! The visuals made me really want to try the game, and they are indeed very good. All the animations and text are cute, the music is simple and nice.

The controls are painfully difficult. I get the clumsiness that emerges from this, but here there are a lot of things that could have been tuned better with more time I guess, such as the grab range and time needed to water the cactus.

I had fun, thanks for the game!

Remember, Apollo by AdamCYounis 2020-04-24T19:59:04Z

This is absolutely incredible. Not only this is the best game I've played from Ludum Dare, but it is so good it will stick with me for some time. The art is great, the storytelling is fabulous, the sound and music are perfect, the gameplay and level design are nice.

Thank you so much for making this game. I hope someday I can be as talented as you.

Happy Life by scalliondelight 2020-04-24T20:12:39Z

thank a lot for this game. This was really great.

The Last Guardian by civmaniac 2020-05-12T10:16:37Z

Great job!

I liked the coherent art style, and really dig your music choice. The controls are well explained and feels nice.

I loved the "raining clouds" mechaninc, but feel like it could work a bit faster. The cactus might be a bit too strong also?

Thanks for the game!

Save the Fish by Duck Reaction 2020-04-24T11:53:39Z

Awesome job! The art and sound design takes this to a whole other level. Thanks a lot for this game!

Egg Knight by GabrielRhys 2020-04-22T11:52:24Z

Good job! :egg: The art looks nice and coherent, controls are not explained but easily found out. The boss fight is fun. Don't forget that there are free to use music online, but if you want to use only things you made it is fine as well! I found that spawning in the middle of the room was a bit strange, and was a bit sad that the egg has no hurtbox. Thanks for the game!

Projet Crayon by Bronislaw 2020-04-24T11:37:09Z

Great job!

I really like all the visuals, animations and effects. The controls feel intuitive, even if the parry window or range seems a bit messy and I found myself spamming parry for better results.

I agree with the previous comments, since everything is a bit slow and repetitive, you don't really feel any pressure to survive. I am sure you had a lot more ideas and the concept is good so you can definitely make something with this!

Thanks for the game.

Fire Is Life by Lakshya Maurya 2020-05-12T08:47:56Z

Good job. The idea of a fps where you protect something instead of yourself is not new but fits to the theme. You couldn't complete your idea but at least you have a semi functional game here, and that's already a big achievement. There are a lot of bugs but other people already mentioned the ones I experienced. Thanks for the game!

Keep Him Alive by Convg 2020-05-12T09:08:12Z

Great job!

I liked the ambiance given by the very slow follower and the gold scattered everywhere. Even if the gold is useless, it makes you want to go for it, but the old man keeps you from going too fast and makes you feel tension. I did not understand precisely the lose conditions. There could be more visual and audio feedback on that. The attack animation is clear and feels responsive. The ennemy are hard (impossible?) to beat without getting hit.

As stated by others, you should consider A* path finding. It is often useful and this is the perfect prototype to learn how to implement it.

Thanks for the game!

Flippy Fish by Doot 2020-04-22T21:47:25Z

Thank you so much everyone! This is our first game jam, and every single comments you make means so much to us. :two_hearts:

@dovahkciin thank you, and sorry for the negative lives haha! We thought this was a very minor and fun bug so we did not prioritize it :fire:

@lykawolfie Thank you! We tried the best we could, but indeed I think there would still be work to do on the "clear and responsive" feeling of the jump! :fish:

@peachtreeoath Thank you so much! The last difficulty level is triggered at 200! But please go try other games, I hope that everyone will get comments as great as the one we receive!

@brylamare Thank you! We thought of allowing jumping and moving together, but did not do it for several reasons, one of the major ones being the enemy AI would need to be very different and very aggressive to keep the game challenging, thus removing the rhythmic feeling we got here. Also, it would require a lot more work on animations to make them feel coherent. We thought of being able to cancel every move on early frames, but this was one of the many many things that was not prioritized and did not make the cut :knife:

@ausstein thanks for the tip! But wouldn't that make it awkward for people who want to play it in their browser and not fullscreen? I think I will make a mockup itch page and try all options to see which one feels best. It's my first time uploading a game, a friend helped me with the html version but I guess I still need to learn a lot!

@marcin-godzina Thank you so much! We are thinking about that, I will let you know if there is an android version coming! We do not want to monetize though so that would not be on any app store I believe.

@ausstein impressive! the difficulty shift at 150 really is something eh? :anger: The current best score we know about is 207!

@sndr Thank you! There actually is such a window, but it is only a few frames! You are right that it might need some adjustment :tools:

@everyone, thank you so so much, I feel like I am living a dream :rainbow:

Flippy Fish by Doot 2020-04-27T16:14:31Z

One week after, everything still feels magical! :rainbow: Thank you everyone for your nice comments and constructive feedback.

We are not sure what the project is going to become yet, we will decide as a team and wanted to give ourselves some breathing time before! We will give updates on the possible future of the game via itch.io if there is such a future, so feel free to follow us there!

@javasaurus, thank you! We had similar comments about the "only japanese" aspect. For those who are still wondering, here are the approximate translations of most words: - "Start" at the beginning - "Faster" at each difficulty level bump - "Ouch" when hit by a knife - "Hot" when hit by a blowtorch - "Bon appétit" on the score and credits menus

@krassenstein, thank you! The ideas you gave are actually near the top of our backlog if we decide to continue the project.

@aurel300, thank you! The music is indeed not ours, that is why we are not rated on it. You can find info on the 3 musics used in the credits menu if you like one of them! The one during gameplay is Yume O Yume by Reiswerk.

@marcusnystrand and @rongefilet, thank you for the comparison with those awesome games.

@everyone, thank you so much once again! :two_hearts:

Flippy Fish by Doot 2020-05-09T14:29:06Z

Hey Flippy fans!🐟 We have big news for you today.

**Android version**

Flippy Fish is now available on Android! The apk file is available here on itch, and the game is waiting for Google's approval and will soon be live on Google Play!

**Big first update**

All the great feedbacks we received from irl friends and awesome internet people led us to this first big update. Here are the major changes:

- **Difficulty modes** Want to relax a bit and enjoy more of this awesome music by reiswerk? Calm mode is here for you! We believe this might be the best way to play the game for younger players or people not very familiar with video games. Tell us what you think! You are a crazy person and found Flippy Fish too easy for you? We got you covered and added Fishy mode! Share your highscore with friends for increased brag potential. Other difficulty tweaks have been made, such as making torches a bit less hard to avoid in all modes, or an invulnerability window when hit.

- **QOL updates on controls** We added a buffer window to help you control Flippy with perfect precision!

- **Menu makeover** All menu went through some work to better please your cute eyes.

- **On / Off sound control** You can now toggle sound on or off in game.

- **Bug fixes** Music not looping, pause menu slowing the game instead of really pausing, negative lives... Flippy doesn't really like bugs, so we had to ask them to go away. Let us know if you find sneaky ones that we couldn't see.

We are all very happy to go on this adventure with you. This is our first game and seeing people enjoy it makes us really happy. @everyone **Thank you so much**. 💕

Flippy Fish by Doot 2020-05-09T15:15:25Z

whaaat @ausstein, the version is still young but the best score of devs and friends was 124! You are really good at this. We will keep you updated if someone gets even higher!

Keep the Earth Alive! by ColeHorvat 2020-05-12T15:11:26Z

very nice one! This is a very good compo game.

Pretty simple but well executed. The game feel is there thanks to audio and visual feedbacks, the menu is clear, the art and audio are functional. The difficulty ramp up is well balanced.

Thanks for the game!

Keep it alive by Bperju 2020-04-22T17:43:18Z

hey @bperju ! When I download your .exe and try to open it, I get an error: The code execution cannot proceed because UnityPlayer.dll was not found.

If you made your game with Unity, after compiling it, you have to zip all the content of the folder where your exe is and share the zip file!

Please @ me when done I want to try it :v:

Catastrophe: Wildfire Firefighters by Kaappis 2020-05-12T10:05:58Z

Great job!

I really liked the idea. The ressource management and fire spreading feels quite real and menacing. I was really bad at this haha. I feel like there could be better feedback on what you can use, when, and where.

The art and audio where on point.

Thanks for the game!

BigFlow by Nivamdjo 2020-05-09T16:06:30Z

Great job!

The game is simple, fun, and feels ok to control. The menu are simple, even if they don't work as intended on larger screen resolution.

I may be bad, but I found it quite difficult, especially the number of crows!

When you start again after failing, another music comes up on top of the one already playing instead of replacing it.

Thanks for the game!

Alive by Exainz 2020-05-10T14:11:28Z

Great job!

A lot of attention to detail here. Visual and audio feedback are clears, the tutorial is integrated in game. In the second level, it could be clearer what hurts or does not hurt your companion. I also experienced a bug where there was an invisible wall on both sides of the very first room once.

Thanks for the game!

Plants To Grow by foxtrotluna 2020-04-22T21:21:47Z

This is for now my favorite game from the jam. The theme interpretation is a bit of a stretch, but the game is so good that I don't mind.

Thank you so much for making this! :two_hearts:

The names given to the plants take this to another level. I would love if I could save my composition and come back to my plants once in a while.

Feed The Fire by Nuanda79 2020-05-12T09:16:33Z

Great job!

The game feels nice and is pretty polished. I liked the clear visuals and audio feedback. The gameplay is very simple, yet correct balance makes it interesting. The lamp battery mechanic is also a very good idea. Simple and breaks the rythm a bit when needed.

I loved the "oh no!" sound when putting some water on the fire. my goal on the next runs was actually to find water to hear it again :fire:

Thanks for the game!

Firekeeper by Minrato2 2020-05-12T08:31:48Z

Great job!

The game is small as it should be, and the exploration feeling is good. The music and art are nice. Nice level design.

We are so used to coyote time now that it feels quite wrong not to have it in any platforming game. My guess is you didn't have time to add it and that's ok!

Thanks for the game!

Long Live To Flower by fermingimpel 2020-05-09T19:08:57Z

Oh no that plant and its voice will haunt me for days!

Great job on this game. It is very simple yet innovative and enjoyable. It feels a tiny bit long on the end but there is a proper ending to compensate. Great job on taking time to make nice menus and a good tutorial.

Thanks for the game!

Keep It Charged by LaZZyDev72 2020-05-12T10:23:59Z

Great job!

The idea and executions are nice.

The visual and sounds are good.

Overall, I would have liked better if there were less but better designed levels. Here, some are pretty good but some feel like filler.

Thanks for the game!

Life of the Party by KC_Shiftyyy 2020-04-24T16:55:12Z

Untitled.png I got 74! As stated, the games start to suffer a lot above 60. Also, ultra wide screen is not really supported here haha, maybe try to set your camera to match height instead of width (21:9 are more frequent than 4:3 now I think)

Great job on the game! The concept is super simple, the rules are clear to understand, the visuals are cute, the music is great. A very good jam game! I had fun, thanks.

CAT KEEPS YOUR NIGHTMARES OUT by Mantarus 2020-05-12T15:16:26Z

Very nice one! I really liked the art, especially the tiny attack animation.

There is not enough feedback when attacking nightmares, I don't even know if I can attack them without taking damage. Maybe some very simple audio would have helped.

Thank you for this game!

Toasted Dreams by HakunaSoft 2020-05-12T15:06:19Z

Great job!

I really liked the simplicity of the game. The art is very good and the music and sounds are nice. The controls feel responsive.

Too bad the scoring system is not really working (continues after death), it would have me try a few more time.

Thanks for the game!

Keep Tree Alive by Khan 007 2020-04-22T17:50:16Z

Good job on your first game :)

I like how you set up a menu with a nice "How to play". The tree looks great, the litter is very colorful and identifiable. I would have loved if the tree had collision too and stuff got stuck in it, but maybe this was removed because of the fixed camera? I also was able to "cheat" a bit by dragging stuff below earth haha.

As stated, adding a screenshot of your game as image will make more people come and give feedback. Thanks for the game!

Catch The Mouse keep it alive by GameOverMexico 2020-05-10T14:04:57Z

Great job!

I love the simplicity of this one. The fact that the level does not reset is kind of a double edged sword. It can make it easier sometimes and then you feel lucky, but most of the time it feels more frustrating than anything else. The fast respawn with music continuing is well done. The dumble jump mechanic is nicely explained through level design.

Thanks for the game.

Keep Hope Alive by keybol 2020-04-22T09:57:27Z

This game is very cute, the art and music go well together and make the underlying theme of "Stay Home" feel important yet not oppressive. I liked the idea, the control feel smooth and I had no bugs while playing. Good job!

LD47 — Stuck in a loop

Mudcar Sprint by Tutti Ankka 2020-10-18T17:48:19Z

Nice one!

The game looks great, the controls feel very responsive and the music and sounds fit very well. I love the explosion 💥

Gameplay wise, it is a bit boring though. Does the speed increase with time? It didn't feel like anything changed, so it became a bit repetitive too quickly. I'm sure that with just little tweaks to increase the difficulty over time this would be a very cool game!

Thanks for the game, incredible work for a compo 💕

Stuck In Paris by CocaPasteque 2020-10-06T17:41:42Z

Wow, this is great. The feeling is exactly the one you have when driving at le rond point de l'Etoile in Paris. The explosion might be a bit exaggerated but that's all.

Would recommend to every driver, every parisian, and every human.

Thanks for the game 💕

Another One Loops the Dust by limered 2020-10-07T19:53:31Z

Haha I had so much fun!

The music is a nice choice, the art is really good, the ending is a blast.

Thanks for the game 💕

TCHOU by Sirkovitch 2020-10-06T10:46:46Z

Haha I had lot of fun.

The puzzle is short yet interesting, and the actions feels intuitive. The art is great. I loved the ending.

Thanks for the game 💕

Dodge the Doge by LucasMolina 2020-10-13T07:03:48Z

Nice one!

The gameplay is smart, challenging, fun, and the controls feel smooth. The art is really nice and the rhythm of the animations is well done.

Too bad there is no sound to put the player in the right mood.

Thanks for the game I had fun 💕

Kiwi Intergalactic War Initiative by Iak 2020-10-06T10:08:08Z

Great job! The game works and graphics are nice.

Same here, it took me waaay to much time to understand what to do and how to do it. Dragging is not intuitive, I was just clicking, and then I didn't know if I should kill the birds or not!

Thanks for the game 💕

ringtale by torcado 2020-10-10T07:25:38Z

Wow this one is really nice!

Reminded me of that nitrome game with a hedgehog I played a lot when I was a kid. The art is fantastic, the racoon is super cute, the controls are well made, the new stuff coming along the way is easily understandable. The puzzles are well thought, but the difficulty is a bit brutal I think.

Thanks for the game I had fun 💕

Magmania by CameronPenner 2020-10-13T07:16:57Z

I loved this!

The idea is really good, the execution is awesome. On my first try I lost but understood the correct strat, and on the second try even if I knew exactly what to do each loop the execution was frantic and a lot of fun. And then I blocked myself with a wall of floaters and died very stupidly right at the last loop haha. The animations of the lil dude are perfect.

Thanks for the game 💕

One Frog's No Good Very Bad Automobile Malfunction by weeping-rupee 2020-10-15T20:45:36Z

Haha this is fantastic.

This is the best "move elements from a code loop" exemple I've seen. The dice splitting mechanic is intuitive and fun, the real time feeling of some actions add a small layer of execution to the puzzles, and all the art, animations, and sounds are so good!

The difficulty of jumping and going forward at the right time may be a bit to much.

I loved the game, thanks and good job 💕

The Good, The Bad and The Fluffy by shide 2020-10-12T18:39:47Z

Nice one!

The puzzles are well fought, the rules are clear and the controls feel smooth. The theme is a bit far fetched but well who cares.

I did not have any sound, is it normal?

Thanks for the game 💕

Aouf Run by shubart 2020-10-06T08:42:42Z

Great job!

The game works great and looks good. Doing this kind of game was also one of my ideas for this jam 🏎 The collisions work fine, and the variety in opponents keep the game interesting. I liked the music and visual elements reminding the first few zones of OutRun.

It is quite hard to go straight. I feel this is due to not being able to control the intensity of your turns. Levels are also a bit simple, with only straight lines and 90° turns.

Thanks for the game!

Loopy Loops by ded 2020-10-24T08:43:40Z

Haha this is nice!

It made me laugh, and I love the art style and animations. Good job 💕

Test Subject by ThiefViolinist 2020-10-24T14:44:15Z

Nice idea, good controls and good graphics. The AI voice is cool too.

Waaay to hard and unclear for me though :robot:

Bust-a-Loop by PeachTreeOath 2020-10-11T18:05:29Z

Wooow I loved this.

The idea is really smart, and seems like something very hard to execute as well as this. The puzzle that it creates are as much ones of planning, execution, and the goal is not only to win but mostly to look as cool as possible. Comboing in a fighting game is always fun, and this game takes all this fun and adds a puzzle layer to it to make you feel clever. The art is clear and the animation are on point.

There are a few things I wanted to note: - The progression and level selection felt like a bit of mess. I did not really understand why or how I unlocked moves, and if I would have to in other difficulty levels. - The lack of sound is indeed sad for the overall feeling of power you could get when doing your custom combo. - The hitboxes where sometimes a bit unclear to me. Maybe with this overly simple art style you could show them to make everything clearer? - The opponent froze on the ground when I hit him/her on the exact frame they touched the ground. - I am not sure but maybe this would be even more satisfying with a considerable amount of hitstun on most moves.

Great job, and thanks for the game, I had fun 💕

Ribbon by 100th_Coin 2020-10-18T11:22:26Z

This is fantastic 💕

The uniquene mechanic feels good to control after just a few seconds, everything is clear and works well, the adaptive music is perfect, and omg this is beautiful. I guess the only way this could have been even better is with a bit more audio feedback (on actions and on the unlocking of the last door).

You are very very talented, I hope some day I can do something as good!

Pulsewave by bitdecay 2020-10-18T11:09:36Z

Nice one!

Adding rhythmic controls to any gameplay is always funny. I like how you didn't make it punitive, with only an impact on the score.

There are a few elements that don't help you keep rhythm : the lines between lanes feel like they could come in rhythm but they don't, and the music felt like it has not enough strong elements on the beat and a few too many outside it (the crunchy square wave snare on the first music for example).

Great job and thanks for the game, I had fun 💕

Blank Tape by Greet 2020-10-06T09:33:28Z

Wow this one is great.

The mechanic is classic, but incredibly well executed. The movable camera adds a lot to the game. The art is great, the music fits perfectly, the sound design is on point.

The game also is great to speedrun. Here are my times! unknown.png

Thanks for the game 💕

Beat Farm by Andrfw 2020-10-14T07:30:43Z

I loved this!

The gameplay is super simple and straightforward, with a nice layer of depth and puzzle added by crafting. The sounds are very well chosen and the loops you make are instantly pleasing. The art is cute.

It is quite hard to move everything around and a bit long to change pitches with diapason, but it makes things even more satisfying when you make something out of all this.

Thanks for the game 💕

Cashier Every Day by schwede 2020-10-21T08:52:26Z

Haha this is great!

The feeling of pressure is definitely here, and there are some times where everything goes ok and then you mess with a single article and everything goes to hell. Great job, the controls feels right, the sound is just what is needed to make the game feel responsive, and the short meta with upgrades and steep difficulty curve is nice!

Great job 💕

Space Loop Kit by Marin0104 2020-10-09T11:32:03Z

Nice game!

The art is very good. The music is a good choice, the sound effects are very nice.

The chore mechanic is smart and pleasing when you find your rythm. Too bad you did not have time to put more challenge or content in the game.

Here are a few things I noticed in case you didn't: - you can fly of the screen - the energy refills after the first beat (energy used on the first beat is the one from previous cycle) - enemy lasers despawns only when death animation is over. The can even shoot when already dead if their gameObject is still there. - big blue lasers kill enemies if they are in it when it spawns, but then it just push them away when you try to swipe the screen with it. I guess it's a trigger/not trigger issue.

Thanks for the game, I had fun 💕

Skyloop by Coda Highland 2020-10-07T15:38:27Z

Great job making a complete game!

Even if the game is very simple and a bit broken, I had fun. Racing is always satisfying.

The drive feel is ok, the opponents AI seems pretty well done. The menus are quite ugly but very clear. Collisions with other cars feel wrong, that makes them even scarier haha. You can skip laps with going back a bit behind the starting line and coming back. Sadly, this is the fastest way to complete a lap. However, doing this you won't collect any coins so this makes playing normally a better solution, which is great.

Thanks for the game 💕

Skyloop by Coda Highland 2020-10-07T16:16:38Z

@coda-highland to be precise, I think you have to go back about 5 meters, right where the tracks has a strange split on the sides. As said, it is not a real bother, just wanted to point it out to help you!

Synthloop by atlantian 2020-10-18T11:15:39Z

Wow nice, thanks it feels great to have this between all the other LD games!

The visuals are nice, the music is awesome.

The transitions were not good on my PC, don't know if it's same for everyone. Too bad, I couldn't toy as much as I'd like with adding and removing music parts.

I also didn't understand what the 5th music added as visuals?

Thanks for this that was definitely nice 💕

Snaketroidvania by Antti Haavikko 2020-10-12T21:34:32Z

Wow this is incredible.

So many good ideas in this game, it manages to never get repetitive even with so many rooms. The art is clean, the color choice is great, the animations are really well done, the sound is nice. The visual and audio feedbacks are really clean. Close to the end, I encountered many bugs, especially when doing too many input too fast. This has to be expected for such a packed compo game I guess.

Awesome work, great job, and thanks for the game I really had a good time 💕

Moby's Trip by blaster391 2020-10-08T07:56:00Z

Great game!

I really liked the aesthetic. The music was energetic but not annoying. The gameplay is simple and effective. The rules are clear. The active leaderboard during gameplay is a very good idea and kept me playing!

I felt like the coliders of obstacles were a bit too long, it felt a bit frustrating at time. The second track with loops and bumps is a fun idea, but the camera jitter made me sick haha. It is just bonus anyway.

Thanks for the game I had fun 💕

GREY MILK by sunnray 2020-10-12T07:43:17Z

That was interesting!

The mix of gameplay and dialogue is a good idea. The art is cute, the music is nice and the story is great.

I found that playing the game normally is too hard for me, so I figured out that spamming jump was an invincible strat and did this while reading the dialogues. Then I figured out that stopping was even more of an invincible strat and did just that haha.

Thanks for the game 💕

Loopomotive by JPiolho 2020-10-08T16:40:01Z

I loved it!

The art, animations, and smoothness of gameplay are on point. I loved the sound as well. The goal is clear, everything is very understandable, and the feeling of progression is nice. I really liked the idea of the train's speed dropping when you don't push a button, forcing you to always be active and not just look for the perfect speed and position and do nothing until the end.

I didn't like the right entry of the first level. It felt to random and I just rushed through it hoping nothing would come. I think it is placed to close to the track. The 2nd and 3rd levels are awesome, but the number of cars needed to win is a bit too much for me.

Thanks a lot for the game I had fun 💕

Springy's Adventure by TheCrittersCove 2020-10-19T17:20:44Z

Very nice one!

I loved the art and the music. The controls are ok even if some collisions are a bit sticky.

The text explanations for good and bad mushrooms is good, same for the conditions for level end.

I had the same crash than other peoples at the end!

Thanks for the game I had fun 💕

POKKO by gord10ahmet 2020-10-07T21:41:57Z

Wow this one is incredible.

The art is beyond solid, the sounds go well with the game, the level design is simple and effective, the core mechanic is very efficiently conveyed, the length of the game is spot on for a jam game, and there even is a short story to top it off!

As stated by others, collisions are not the best, especially frictions on walls. You might want to apply a different physics material with 0 friction on the sides of your jumping characters so that they don't stick to walls.

Awesome job making this game 💕

Loopark by Tex Killer 2020-10-18T17:42:39Z

Nice one!

I love the idea. The track looks fine, the controls are easy. Nice job on the train sounds too! Too bad you couldn't do more levels and polish it a bit more!

Thanks for the game 💕

Groundhog Garden by svyatozar 2020-10-12T18:53:05Z

Nice one!

Played a bit with you and PvPlayz27 when he streamed. Great job on the maze generation and the online code, they both work solidly.

The idea is very interesting, I love the collaboration it can enable. I found that mazes don't offer enough visual details to remember, so sometimes your second loop is just random wandering again.

Thanks for the game 💕

River Express by ProdigalSon 2020-10-19T18:04:10Z

Super nice game!

Everything felt smooth and natural, with a good level design to teach you how to play gradually.

The music choice is on point too!

Great job and thanks for the game, I had fun 💕

Rogot Slide [Prototype] by itsdanidre 2020-10-24T14:39:31Z

Nice one!

The concept is super clear. The number of puzzles is quite impressive for a jam game. The art is simple but understandable.

I really liked that you could play with keyboard or mouse. It would have been even better if you could start / restart a level with only keyboard.

Great job 💕

Pip's Journey by JemSmith 2020-10-06T09:58:27Z

Very interesting concept, and well executed!

The mix between story and chess puzzle feels good. The art looks good, too bad there is no music or sounds.

There were a few bugs, such as white pawns after the village becoming invisible, or a knight becoming unusable after pawns get on the same place.

I had fun, thanks for the game 💕

ShortRails by Yorsh 2020-10-06T16:40:49Z

Wow, nice game!

The visuals are very very good and polished for a compo game. The gameplay is very intuitive on most part but a bit less on others (I didn't understood right away that the men in shirts were bad guys, even if said like that it sounds obvious haha).

Once I read that you can delete with space I got too good and got stuck on end of the world too 🌈

Thanks for the game, now I know how to build railways.

ludum factorum by AMastryukov 2020-10-06T17:32:21Z

This one is awesome!

The art is stunning, the concept is smart, the mechanics are very well implemented. The ratings at the end, even after a few jams, are quite harsh, but well, I never actually tried compo, so maybe this is actually the case haha.

Thanks for the game 💕

Action Loop by iszlonn 2020-10-10T22:21:09Z

Nice game!

A very creative and smart use of the theme. The game is short and to the point. The story is fun. The visuals and gameplay are pretty barebone but I guess this is not the focus.

Thanks for the game I had fun 💕

Track Day by Remzo 2020-10-08T20:17:41Z

Yaaay this is so much fun!

The controls felt weird at first, especially due to a lack of engine sound to let you know you are accelerating I guess, and the collision felt a bit unfair. But then I played more, learned to accept it, and had a lot of fun! The turning point in all races is when everyone starts crashing into one another, and this part is so much fun.

I did 0:50 something with 9 mistakes, and over 1 minute with 6 mistakes.

Great job on this game it works very well 💕

Loopy Train - by Boby4458 2020-10-14T16:42:13Z

Great idea!

Same as others, I could seem to buy any weapons, even with empty carriages. Too bad you couldn't put some music too.

The mountain is absolutely lovely, and the train fits there nicely.

Thanks for the game!

Saisons by Gaming Night 2020-10-12T19:47:08Z

I love this so much.

The art is amazing, the parallax effect (or is it real 3D?) is fantastic, the far away camera makes everything beautiful. The ambiance sounds are great, the flute sounds are too. The gameplay is very good. I had a hard time at the end because I really don't have a musical ear, but it was not frustrating and just very calming.

One of my favorite of the jam for sure, thanks for making this 💕

Led Astray by Lyrcaxis 2020-10-07T11:03:08Z

(played the ldjam version)

Nice one, I had a great time!

The art is absolutely fantastic, except the onions that felt quite out of place with this black outline. The amazing graphics, along with great music and short story elements, made me feel immerse really quick.

The platforming controls are ok, but I feel like you wanted to put too much in a jam game so some aspects become a bit lacking. For example, it is sometime hard to understand when you should jump and when you should dash through a platform. Jumping down from some platform but not others is not intuitive too.

Is there an ending? I went through all the forest but got stuck at the end I think.

Thanks for the game and keep up the good work 💕

It's The Leash I Can Do by hemlocksoames 2020-10-11T19:47:42Z

The art is readable, the music is nice and the sounds are so funny. The chore mechanic is very smart and feels really good, too bad you couldn't do it in time!

Thanks for the game I loved it 💕

Daily Grind by spacemyname 2020-10-19T10:53:07Z

Good job on this the mood is there.

Thanks for the game!

Raceabout by joll05 2020-10-16T15:03:57Z

Nice game!

Nice idea with cool execution. The art is clean and understandable, the music fits nicely. The controls feels responsive.

The random placement of obstacles does not work very well. Most of the time, they are not in your way anyway, and sometimes, they are just to close in front of you to react. I believe that such games could use pseudo random obstacles, such as forcing an obstacle half a turn away right in front of you from time to time to make gameplay more interesting.

Also, stucking to the outside wall feels a bit broken! I just did more than 40 turns without doing anything, I don't know if it's infinite because I quit at 42 but it feels like it. Capazfsqvqvture.PNG

Thanks for the game I had fun 💕

Escape From Rotting Town by Jonathan Lorenz 2020-10-24T14:27:53Z

Too bad you couldn't do all you thought about, but one thing is really great: you managed to deliver a complete game even if you cut a lot of things!

Playing with controller feels ok. There is a really strange buffer window on the punch action. Nice visual assets choices, nice music and nice sounds!

Thanks for the game!

Stormy Delivery by Matterox 2020-10-24T14:21:32Z

Nice game!

The concept is clear, the controls are cool, and the R to restart is something missing in most compo games, so it's great to see it here! I found the game really hard, especially the movements: it's really easy to get sucked in typhoons, and really hard to avoid any opponents bullets. Maybe adding a bit more power to the boat would make it funnier?

Great job and thanks for the game 💕

Blossoms & Steel by Hare Software 2020-10-06T10:26:55Z

I loved the nidhogg inspiration. The game feels good, sounds good, and looks incredible.

Loop Land by Préda 2020-10-09T11:15:30Z

Nice game!

The 2.5D graphics are very solid. The music is very good, and you even did a second one for the boss fight, good job!

The platforming controls work ok, but as always, this is beyond difficult to get it just right. Here, what was the most frustrating for me was some sticky corners on some platforms, and not moving along with clouds. Clouds were also very frustrating all along. My humble advice would be to always use them over shorter paths like one in the second loop, and to make them wait a bit at the end of their cycles.

I loved that the enemy only push you, this is very good. I like the idea of the mini game for elevators even if I personally don't like this mini game.

Thanks for the game I had fun 💕

Creed by dimlight 2020-10-18T18:17:16Z

Nice game!

The portal narration works well, the mechanics are cool, the controls feel right. The ending is funny too.

The pixel art is nice, but god did you really need to make an over sexualized woman as your character? I disliked this quite a bit, too bad your game was really cool!

Turret Bug by kaeveris 2020-10-11T17:27:05Z

Nice job!

The idea is good, but as stated by others, the fact that you can just spam in any direction to win makes the game not interesting.

The art and sounds are nice.

Thanks for the game!

Terror of the Lazy River by Birdwards 2020-10-19T10:47:25Z

Awesome compo game!

The idea is very cool, the movement feels right and original, the audio and visuals makes for some nice feedbacks.

The only issue I could see is that the more you defeat enemies, well the less they are and the less it's interesting.

Awesome game anyway, great job on making this 💕

LoopChan by Kaish 2020-10-07T17:38:42Z

Really nice game!

The art is incredible :robot: The mechanic is simple, original, and the puzzles are well designed.

I had a bit of trouble understanding when I could move forward or not. Sometimes, the music loop seems to not offer enough memorable parts and is quite hard to remember.

Thanks for the game I had fun 💕

Spaghetti Quest by peterfonts 2020-10-15T10:30:28Z

Nice one!

I really really liked the coherence of visuals, music, voices, text, gameplay, and everything. The idea is great and the execution is very well done!

If I had to be picky, I feel like the part that is not done as well is the progression. The only real difference I felt when going from the first levels all the way to the last ones was the stickiness of some ingredients and the time I had. This is a very good idea, but it feels like it is not enough to have 10 levels.

Also, reading the comments, it seems that some things were added post jam, but it is a bit unclear what? Everyone needs to be able to rate the game as it was at the end of the 3 days I believe.

Thanks for the game I had fun, great job and you got a new follower on itch 💕

The music is art 💕

Life's Loop by Matav 2020-10-16T14:47:36Z

Nice one!

Nice work making animation and art for every possible action. The music is nice. The gameplay is very self explanatory.

The balance seems quite off, with not enough interesting decisions to made. Also, it seems like you cannot win as a non smoker haha (not enough social in a day if you never smoke at lunch break).

I also had the same bug as @fc85057, here is an image: Sans titre.png

Thanks for the game!

Also, your game won't be shown to others if you don't play and rate other games!

HONK II by Tricky_Fat_Cat 2020-10-07T08:15:07Z

Woow really nice game!

The game feel is instantly there, due to slick controls, clear visual feedback, nice enemy design and level design. The art is on point, the music is very good, I would even love it if the volume was a bit higher compared to the sound effects. This is definitely a very solid entry. Great job!

All the inspirations (Doom, Nuclear Throne, Enter the Gungeon, Untitled goose game in the name, Undertale reef, and many more) are pleasant but maybe a bit too much for me.

Bug: When opening the menu, the HUD disappears and don't come back when you go back to the game.

Thanks for the game I had fun 💕

SpaceRace by andrei009 2020-10-18T18:04:50Z

this is really good!

Simple game, but very well executed. Good asset and music choices, good controls, good difficulty progression. The idea of freezing when you go high is very smart so you don't have to make an invisible ceiling or something like that!

Thanks for the game and good job 💕

Raildle by DrSomma 2020-10-07T11:42:28Z

Good job on making this game!

Felt like a simple idle game, with satisfying graphics and soothing train movements.

Start was really really slow though. Most idle games let you act on early stages of the game, such as clicking on something to gain money. It is also hard to understand what you are supposed to do to optimise money returns without testing, and testing takes way too long.

Thanks for the game and keep up the good work 💕

Racecar racecaR by Russ Moonbase 2020-10-11T17:38:18Z

Nice one!

Very good choice of assets. Kenney assets are always lovely, your car looks awesome, and the music was so good I went and added it to my asset list in Unity (thanks for the discovery).

The game itself is fun, even if the driving was a pure mess to me. I couldn't get the drifting, was always confused as if I should break with space or s, etc...

The explosion in parts with their own physic when you touch a ghost is a very good idea and well executed.

Thanks for the game I had fun 💕

Loop City by Fupi 2020-10-07T14:56:15Z

Nice game!

I loved the main mechanic. Not having control on your fall set up a hectic rythm that is pretty satisfying when you get the hang of it. I liked the simple graphics, even if some stuff where unclear to me at first, such as the farm or the loop parts you get when completing tasks. I liked the music, energetic enough without getting on your nerves too fast. Other sounds were ok.

I really enjoyed the first 10 loops or so when I was trying many different stuff and understanding the game more and more. What I didn't enjoy was making a chocolate cake, and here is why in my opinion:

I loved to do trials and errors, and the expensive costs in the shop did not really allow for that. For example, I tried mixing chocolate seeds directly with cake stuff, and it didn't work. I instantly remembered the farm and thought "oh yes I have to grow chocolate first!". That was nice, but then I had to do 5 or so boring loops to gather the money for seeds, then 3 to grow seeds, then a few more to get cake stuff again. Also, during all those loops, I was stuck in this quest, and did not want to drop it in fear of having to do it all over again. I would love it if you could have multiple quests at a time so you feel like you always do something.

Thanks for the game I had fun, keep up the good work 💕

Lily Pad Drifters by bernard-bumblebutt 2020-10-08T19:56:40Z

Nice one!

The game is beautiful, with so many cool details like the fishes or lily pads changing color randomly when you restart. The music is bangers.

The mechanic is smart but has a few issues. The jumping direction felt weird, and it was more than often optimal just to not do anything. I won level 4 by not touching anything and level 5 with one jump. The level progression with a bit of story is nice.

Small bug : you can touch the kill zone and die while hanging to the rightmost lily pad on level 2.

Thanks for the game 💕

Mirror Space by AlexTagun 2020-10-06T09:13:16Z

Tried it on mobile. The controls are intuitive, but the shooting seemed very weird and unresponsive.

The game looks great and works great! The idea is cool too.

It felt very repetitive very fast. Maybe more red blocks or faster upgrades would do the job?

Thanks for the game 💕

Hell on (not) Wheels by WelshDivision 2020-10-07T21:11:22Z

(tested on Xbox controller, only single player mode)

Great job!

I couldn't try the multiplayer mode, but single player works fine. The art of the game is pretty nice, and I like the music too.

The driving feels really strange. Acceleration is very slow, and breaking push you in direction of slope instead of actually breaking. Collisions also feel very weird.

I hope some people try multiplayer so you have feedback for this too! Don't forget to leave review on other games if you want people to see and rate your game.

Thanks for the game 💕

TIME TO DANCE! by Savvy Community 2020-10-10T22:14:09Z

Wow this one is incredible.

The idea behind the core mechanic is fantastic, and so well executed. It is really funny, and not as easy as it could seem at first. The music and sounds are fantastic too.

I really dislike this graphic style (personal tastes) and yet I really enjoyed the game, one of my favorite for this jam.

Great job, and thanks for the game 💕

Zgulls by ashashza 2020-10-12T10:50:34Z

This is fantastic.

The tower defense mechanics are simple, but very well thought. I loved the fact that there is no way to lose and a clear goal with an ending before it gets repetitive. I loved the art, the music choice, the ambient sounds, everything leads to a perfect mood. Even the fact that you don't quite understand what towers do exactly or if a strat is better than another one leads to this great feeling of comfort you have when playing.

Thanks for the game I loved it 💕

HTML5 version should be easy to do with unity, maybe push one if you want more people to play?

The Loop Collection by Geegaz 2020-10-07T09:21:21Z

Woow I loved this one.

Very straightforward, clear and well executed. The art is simple, the rules are simple and fun.

Here are some things that could have been even better in my opinion: On the first game, the size of the targets felt really small. On the second game, I had some lag issues (maybe due to particle effects not going well with Godot engine? The third game had a super fun idea but felt a bit slow.

Thanks a lot for this game I had fun and really loved the aesthetic 💕

Right Side Up by TheJonu 2020-10-14T16:49:14Z

Nice one!

I liked the idea and the fun you quickly have throwing explosive all around. The rules are quite clear and the first tutorial levels are nicely done.

I would have liked if more levels had roof so that you don't have to wait for hours when your box go up too fast.

Thanks for the game!

So much feedback so fast! Thank you everyone 🌈

@lexi @fishmasterino @kornel @dexort @ryzy27 @xsoodx @simone @spyranteros @mrscythe @don-fouts @wormius @karin-g Thank you very much 💕

@sashamils @isha Thank you! The lack of feedback during a recipe (either what's in the soup or what's left to add) is definitely missing, but we didn't prioritize it as much as other game defining features, so we did not manage to do it in time!

@elpadlos Thank you! The difficulty is indeed a bit crazy very fast ☠ Soup business is not an easy life path.

@khadia Thanks a lot! Characters are by @dodidouda. They like you too.

@jatdev Thanks for the detailed feedback! As said, the difficulty is indeed too hard, and we could have made it easier to remember the recipe (similar placement of food containers between levels, not too much variety in soup, specific miniature image in recipe for each soup, etc...) Thanks for pointing out the mystery recipe, we'll try to kick it out if we do a post jam version!

@yorsh Thank you! The audio feedbacks on clicks are either missing or late, and I agree, it doesn't go well with the frantic gameplay. Might fix this someday in a post jam update!

Have fun playing other games everyone, and take care 👨‍🍳👩‍🍳

@blind-lemon-games @josephdevelops @shortbread @coda-highland Thank you! We might do a mobile release if we find the energy and time to work on it again. Touchpad controls would be less tiring than mouse I believe.

@meek-bits Thank you! Sorry for the ingredients moving places, it seems evident now but we didn't catch it during playtests...

@cakii23 Thank you! We cut a lot of gameplay ideas we had because we wanted to focus on the core components.

@justcamh @josephdevelops thank you for streaming that was really fun!

@naali @pierrens @krammetje @domin77 @danielblanco3d @blooobird @necauqua @tricky-fat-cat @mog13 @euix Thank you so much 💕

@teto Thank you! We realized the issue of not knowing how many turns when watching streamers and people play the final versions, we think we have a few smart solutions to patch this, we'll include them in a post jam version if we do one! Thanks for pointing it out.

@teto @laurari The color change depending to the ingredient is also something we want to try, but it is not easy to find the right colors that match with all the other in the game (reusing ingredients colors could work most of the time but not always).

@vlandemart Thank you! Thank you for pointing out the satisfying part of turning the spoon, we'll keep it in mind if we think about new elements to add!

@gale-swift Thank you! Making the direction of stirring relevant was in the initial design of the game, but we cut it due to not knowing how to convey it efficiently to the player and to keep things as straightforward as possible for the jam game. We'll think about adding it in a future version maybe!

@tom-a @fupi Thank you! We might do a mobile release if we find the energy and time to work on it again. Touchpad controls would be less tiring and more natural than mouse I believe.

@convg sorry, being blind is not recommended to make good soup.

@mariana-mattevi no pause in the soup cooking life! (sorry, didn't add it to the game in time!)

@laurari Thank you! We will definitely fix the "In Soup" sometime ⌨ We thought we could have it before the deadline, but we didn't, and we did not even find time to remove the UI!

@mike09123 Thanks a lot for the idea! That is indeed a classic in most cooking games. We will remember it!

@peachtreeoath Ok this means so much to me thank you thank you. We found it quite funny too that the idea we had for this jam was very similar in style than the idea our previous jam group had, but it was not intended! This time, out of the 7 girls and guys who participated at least a bit to the project, this was a second for 3 of us, and a first for the 4 other! We had a lot of fun. I believe the secret is actually a lot of luck. I hope it stays! Thanks again for the feedback.

@udo Thank you! The game would definitely a bit more or better feedbacks. I think the lack of "tactility" comes from the sound effects being a bit late and a lack of animations in some places. Maybe we will fix this sometime!

Stuck in a Soup Loop by Doot 2020-10-12T20:55:03Z

👩‍🍳🥣👨‍🍳

@super-hadoken @arron-fowler @imod Thank you so much 💕

@antti-haavikko Thank you so much for the lengthy feedback! - Simple animations to the stories and in game were planned, but we did not manage to do them in time (I really am a beginner in Unity 🙇‍♂️) - The progression is indeed quite the same for everyone, except that at each level end, you can either get fired if you do bad or quit if you do good. This was intended, so there is no punition for doing "poorly" and you can enjoy the game anyway. After seeing many players play, we understand that it might not be perfect, since some don't really understand if they should really continue or not. We are currently trying to think about a better way to convey "overall feedback" to the player without giving up on the "you are doing good anyway, continue if you want" feeling. - Game balance is clearly off. Round 2 of last level is indeed the hardest, but I just saw someone doing a 100% perfect run of the game first try just an hour ago, so it is definitely doable. First level is indeed quite boring, and I really get that adding drudgery without new mechanics in the last two level is not a good thing. Recipes are fixed for easier game balance. - Thanks for the ideas for adding depth. We thought of all of them except the allergy one, and didn't add them to keep the game as simple as possible, but also doable with our beginner skills and limited time. If we wanted to update the game by adding content, I definitely think that we should think again about some of those. Currently, we are mostly thinking about fixing bugs, small balance patch and maybe cutting a level before a mobile release. - Screen sizes support wasn't thought well for the jam version. Sorry if that was not convenient!

@msiddeek @trexxak @noam-blei @captainproton42 @flying-dog-fish Thank you so much 💕

@virimine, Thank you! Yes, the artists did a wonderful job, they are awesome 🌈

@mathemagician Thank you! The lack of variety comes from a wish to keep it as simple as possible, plus the lack of skill and time! I am quite happy that we kept it that simple, but we would definitely need to add some mechanics if we wanted the game to feel a bit less repetitive so quick. The soup direction, for example, doesn't count. Everything in the code is ready for it, but we didn't have time to think of how to implement it in the game design and how to make the player understand. "In Soup" was not done in time, so it's just a blank space in game! Maybe in a post jam release!

@archie-evans Thank you! The controls do feel bad on mouse. On mobile, it's way better, and we also thought of how to make it playable on keyboard but did not found a good solution.

@island-jam-2-group-3 Thank you! I totally agree with you on the need for gameplay variety, and sorry for the bad music looping!

@fabula-rasa Thank you so much! The gameplay has some flaws, I agree with you, yet we are really happy of how the game turned out!

@peterfonts Thank you! Some feedback are indeed missing. For example, when you add an ingredient the feedback is only audio, and when you stir and the soup is ready it's only visuals. It's incredible how many feedbacks you need to make the game feel good, and we are not quite at it here you are right!

AndreOL Revenge by AdrianKrawczyk 2020-10-07T10:26:51Z

Good job!

After a few games, once I understood all the elements, I had fun.

It was quite hard to get there though. I understand if you could not put a tutorial or explanations in the game, but you should at least copy them to the itch page I think. Making the game simpler would be a great starting point too. Also, a restart button would be really helpful.

I think you messed up the aspect ratio on the itch page, I can't see everything if I am not in full screen. That should be easy to fix in your itch page!

Thanks for the game and keep up your work!

Re:Live by Ciber_Turtle 2020-10-11T20:03:31Z

This is so good, incredible job.

The mechanic is very common in this jam, but this is one of the best example I've seen. Slick controls, cute and clear art and sounds, Simple and progressive puzzles.

I loved the accessory each character has to make a difference.

Thanks for the game 💕

Never End by Finn_Tr 2020-10-06T17:14:32Z

Beautiful game.

The mood is very well executed. The Gris / Night in the Woods / Celeste inspirations are pretty apparent and well implemented. The game is hard but not too hard, and the difficulty fits with the story.

I would have loved if the dash was mapped to a key instead of the mouse, or if the direction was linked to mouse position. I was confused the whole game because I always tried to put my mouse where I wanted to dash!

Thanks a lot for the game 💕

Midnight Road by marcusnystrand 2020-10-06T10:58:40Z

Nice one!

The concept is good and well executed. The art and music go very well together and with the game. It felt a bit too hard or messy at time. I liked that you could go to next level anyway to see more content.

Thanks for the game 💕

Z Rhapsody by KaafiRookie 2020-10-14T17:29:22Z

Nice work! There is a lot of work put in this.

This was maybe a bit too ambitious? The art style is a bit messy, with the skybox, buildings and characters not really fitting together.

The combat gameplay feels right even if not great, and is very impressive for 3 days of work.

Good job 💕

Rewind Dungeon by FishMasterino 2020-10-05T22:29:52Z

Awesome job 🌈

The art, animation and sounds are incredible, and the game feels very polished! The core mechanic fits perfectly to the theme. I thought of it too, but didn't feel I would be able to do a good game with it. You did, and the level design manages to avoid most traps of a mechanic that could have become too repetitive too fast.

Thanks for the game 🗡

RIP in Time by ATonic 2020-10-21T07:42:52Z

Nice game!

The art, music and texts make for a great atmosphere. I liked the idea, I am not a big player of those kind of adventure game so I didn't finish it but it felt quite polished.

On top of the bugs mentioned, I encountered another one: If you rush to the RIP engine at the begining and open the interaction dialogue before the intro dialogue pops, the intro dialogue will try to take its place and it will result in a lock with an empty dialogue box.

Also I would like if you could press up to interact without having to stop!

Great job on this game 💕

Bloody Loop by Ashkman 2020-10-25T16:26:16Z

Great job on making this! The rules are simple and the movement feels ok. The diversity of power up is nice.

I hated the art style and audio but it seems some people dig it so it's ok!

A few things I noted: - The firing didn't seem to exactly follow my mouse. - The R button to interact was a weird choice. I guess E to interact and Space to use power would feel better. - There was not enough level / monsters diversity to justify so many rooms per loop I think.

Thanks for the game!

quotes by Pixelboys_TM 2020-10-25T16:11:32Z

Nice work!

The idea is great, it makes you work your memory and relax a bit with the music (great choice of tune here). As stated by other, the walk speed is waay too slow, it would maybe be ok for the first loop, but once you have the solution it really feels like a pain to go back and talk to everybody.

Thanks for the game 💕

GravLoop by AvatarGreggles 2020-10-07T16:13:34Z

I really liked this one!

The core mechanic is great, the sense of progression you get at each loop comes in many forms: more fuel, level knowledge, less enemies, skill mastery... This is great, and the game is just short enough that it never becomes boring. I really liked the music, it sets an ambiance just right. The sounds of green orbs was a bit too loud and annoying. The art is nice, I did not like the colors but I think it is a matter of personal tastes. The soft gradient of the background is a very very nice touch. The movement feeling was nice.

I did not understand what the enemies on the ground are supposed to do. It felt weird that some orbs were placed under platforms, I understand this is a trade off between going fast or getting more time but it felt a bit wrong.

Thanks for the game it was very strongly executed 💕

Nico's Halloween Story by raks 2020-10-08T20:35:40Z

Nice game!

The character looks cute. The integration of story is great, it could use some ambiance sounds. The controls felt responsive, even if the jump could've been a bit snappier.

I loved that you did not instantly lose when getting touched. I did not understand why I got the bad ending though, I guess it is based on your number of deaths but there is no indication of the threshold.

Thanks for the game 💕

Stuck in a planet by Ethery 2020-10-06T08:23:36Z

The web version loaded for me, but with a strange format (I think the itch page settings are off)

Great job! All the platformer mechanics works, and this might have been hard with curved ground and platform. I liked the "paint" arts, and the animations work well.

I felt that the character was a bit too slow, or the levels too big. That made me quit the game before I could see if there is anything more than platforms and movable ladders.

Thanks for the game 💕

Bjorn to Dance by Tomh 2020-10-11T22:07:55Z

Nice one!

The mechanic is simple, but there are so many things done right here! The main thing I loved was that each sequence is characterised by sound, symbol, color, and position. This is really really good for memorisation. Nice art with a lot of great details, good sound and music choices.

The game feels repetitive fast as it is very easy and the difficulty goes up quite slowly. I did not really understood the use of such a complicated score system too but I think that's just me!

Thanks for the game I had fun 💕

Laces and Loops by fc85057 2020-10-05T23:24:42Z

Great Job 🌈

I liked the How to play and the story introduction. The variety of sounds and images is great! The gameplay felt a bit repetitive, I wanted to see more environments without having to kill so many enemies.

Thanks for the game!

MazeRider by Kodaar 2020-10-08T20:27:45Z

Good job making a game in time! Even if it has no goal, the driving mechanic works well, and it's not far at all to being a true game! The camera could use a bit elasticity.

Fractulinear by gungnir 2020-10-08T19:20:01Z

Wow nice one!

Stunning graphics, ambiance music and sounds. I love the chore mechanic, already seen in other games but brought here to its simplest form and perfectly well executed. Also, worked well in full screen on a 21:9 screen.

Great job this is beautiful.

CircleRun by PvPlayz27 2020-10-12T19:28:04Z

Nice one!

The mechanic is very well thought and the controls work well. The loop system makes you remember the placement of the gem if you missed it and plan ahead your next turn, this is great.

I felt a bit dizzy, I don't know what could help with this while keeping the same speed and mechanic though.

Thanks for the game I had fun 💕

Keep Inside by davidB 2020-10-11T17:23:31Z

Nice one!

The idea is nice, the execution is clean. I love the simple graphic style, the color choice is good too.

After 20 or so, you become stuck in a cycle where you always have exactly the same angle to turn to win. Maybe adding a bit of randomness to the bouncing angle, or speed to the ball every bounce would make it more interesting.

Well done making this game 💕

Time Saver by Daniikk1012 2020-10-08T07:21:13Z

Hey, nice one!

I liked the art even if it was a bit too much of a mix of different pixel size or art style. The controls are smooth, the sound effects are good.

The core mechanic is smart and fits well to the theme, but I felt it was not conveyed efficiently to the player. Without reading the description, I did not understand that I gained time when killing enemies, since there is no visual or audio feedback, and it is delayed to the next loop.

Nice job making this game, I had fun 💕

Smells Like Chlorine by TheGreenWorm 2020-10-06T12:58:10Z

This game is incredible. Everything is great in it. The storytelling, the pacing, the art, the intuitive gameplay with enough variety of gameplay, the sound design...

How can this be done in three days? Did you reuse most of the assets from other projects?

Thanks a lot for the game and keep up the good work 💕

Loop of Life by Marin840 2020-10-06T10:39:49Z

Nice game!

The mix of story and mini games is a good idea, even if I guess doing this in a game jam makes it hard to nicely balance things out. I felt that movement and actions where a bit slow, and games could give more feedback.

I liked the art and the voices.

Thanks for the game 💕

Just Keep Spinning! by SubStandard Productions 2020-10-08T07:34:41Z

Wooow this one is great!

The art style is fantastic, the audio sounds really great. The chore mechanic is smart, and having to change fingers spinning now and then is a very good idea.

The mole game seemed out of place: the graphics were not good and the colliders not big enough, it was a bit frustrating. The game also could become harder faster imo.

Awesome job, thanks for the game 💕

The mix of visual novel at first and simple gameplay on the boss is surprising and pleasing. I expected less when starting but the narration is actually quite good!

The art is enough, but the missing music / sound is a bit sad.

Thanks for the game and good job 💕

Gold Mine And Infamy by yellowsalamander 2020-10-06T08:55:16Z

Nice job!

The simplicity and snapiness of the gameplay makes you immersed instantly. The graphics and sound effect look good. The level design helps the mechanic.

I quit around 3000, I felt the difficulty was not enough and stopped increasing? I also had a bug where the cart got stuck somewhere without spider web, around top right corner. Why do scorpions have such a huge and weird hurtbox?

Thanks for the game 💕

Read Steady Non-Stop by Kira Yoshida 2020-10-18T11:33:01Z

Nice one!

The game works and is very intuitive. The art is nice and the music is really great.

The game becomes very repetitive and easy. Last LD, my team and I made a very similar game (3 lanes, obstacles to avoid), and used the following trick to make it interesting: - non random patterns, increasing in difficulty - semi targeting attacks to force you to move (obstacles that are not in your face are actually useless) - quick speed increase with a few moments of breathing time

Maybe you could try some of those here!

Thanks for the game 🚗

This is a nice use of the game medium and the theme to tell an absurd story. I found that the timer was a very good idea to even more question what you are still doing here as a player.

I can't say I had fun but this was a really cool idea, great job 💕

Manic Miner by ryannielson 2021-04-28T13:50:47Z

Fantastic compo game!

Art is simple and clear, audio feedback is great, rules and controls are very intuitive. At first, I thought that just mashing down would work, but as you get deeper the scarcity of oxygen bubbles forces you to move left and right, that's great!

Thanks for the game 💕

Lo Fishing by luizdev 2021-05-11T16:51:42Z

Nice game!

The art is nice, especially the beautiful menu. The music is well suited for the game. The sounds and general visual feedback are great and make the game clear and intuitive. The gameplay is well thought but not very balanced: you can get locked any time by just buying speed instead of depth. The depth upgrade could be something like 250m instead of 50m imo. Great job on making a small tutorial too, even if as other said it is quite unreadable!

Thanks for the game I had fun 🐟

Malleus Pistrium by piscythe 2021-05-14T06:43:50Z

Nice little boss fight!

I like how simple and intuitive it is. The controls feel right, the red line warning is very clear. Music is great! I think sounds would help even more with timing. I also felt like the boss had maybe too much life on normal difficulty?

Thanks for the game!

Debt Collector by thomz12 2021-05-01T07:55:28Z

I love the idea, and it is very well executed. Every puzzle is smart, and the game stays short with a nice little story too. I found it a bit hard to focus on the text sometimes, as I was not sure when or how it was switching to the next line.

Thanks for the game it is beautiful, almost perfect in all categories for me!

Not So Grimm by Rongefilet 2021-05-05T15:45:41Z

Very beautiful game 🌳

The mood is perfect, the art is incredible and very inspiring, and the work on audio is fantastic (same game without that great footstep sound would be something else). I am conflicted between a feeling that it was a bit too slow and a respect toward that design choice you made of forcing the player to take its time.

Thanks a lot I loved it 💕

depthscraper by lexi 2021-04-29T13:07:26Z

Nice game!

The idea is great and well executed on the visual side!

I am not sure why I had game over at the end though? I still had two empty rows.

Hamster Mania by michidk 2021-04-27T07:54:39Z

Cute and calm game 🐹

The art and animations are nice and clear. The music is calming. The gameplay felt intuitive at time and a bit clunky now and then.

A few things I noticed: - It looks like hamsters on the surface don't go to the nearest food? - my score was weird: first star full, second star empty, and third star half. Does each star mean a different thing or is this a bug?

Thanks for the game!

Hadal Depth by RAC-Games 2021-05-09T19:28:54Z

Nice game!

It has a lot of things that are better than other card games I tried in this LD. The simplicity of mechanics and possible interactions ensure there is no bugs or weird unexplained rules. The balance feels right even if the difficulty could increase faster. Visuals are clear and cards are easy to read. Great job on making it work on android too!

A few notes if it can help you (windows build): - The volume slider on the menu slides the map with it. - The "mana / life" system could be explained in game, it is very intuitive for most players but maybe not for all. - The targeting after selecting a card was not very clear for me at first. - Is there a way to deselect a card? Sometimes I changed my mind and couldn't go back, and once I selected a 8 mana card and had to quit the game because I didn't know how to deselect it. - Isn't it strange to get those 8 mana cards on those level where you have a max mana of 6 / 7?

Thanks for the game I had fun!

Logistics Boy by Dis0rder 2021-05-05T12:45:35Z

Fantastic game!

I love the aesthetic, huge congrats on that! The variety of gameplay is great, sometimes it's a bit confusing what you have to do, but it feels exactly as confusing as old game and watch games, without being as much punitive.

Thanks for the game I had fun 💕

Deep Cover by Silas Reinagel 2021-05-12T20:32:24Z

Fantastic game!

I loved the art, the music, the text, everything. The game would be alright if you just had to answer one people at a time, but the idea of combining "enemies" really make it shine!

Great job all around and thanks for the game!

Fallumns by Logan 2021-05-04T17:21:56Z

Superb game. The design is fantastic, the execution is perfect, and the rhythm is brilliantly done.

Great job and thanks for the game!

Fathom Commander by Adam Martin 2021-05-12T16:51:41Z

Nice game!

The systems are well thought, the balance of the complexity feels right. The interactions and rules are not intuitive at first but with a bit of time it feels ok. The art is nice (I love the big fishark) and the sounds make for a nice ambience!

Great job!

Shook by SleepyStudios 2021-04-30T13:39:41Z

Great game! The idea is really original and well executed. The rules are simple and well explained. The visuals are nice and polished.

For me, it felt a bit too much frustrating at time, mostly when fish were too much on the left or right and I couldn't catch them by any mean.

Thanks for the game 🐟

Cave Girl - SUPER AQUA GOTH by nardandas 2021-04-27T08:23:39Z

Good job!

The mood is good! The controls and understanding of objectives took me a bit of time. As stated by others, enemies are really hard to hit. I guess it is mostly due to being locked to shoot in only 4 directions, and them having what feels like random following patterns, often coming at you at an angle.

Thanks for the game!

Hell is yellow area by zaibakk 2021-05-12T12:43:09Z

Nice game!

I really liked the controls and the gameplay. The game is short (good for a jam), interesting and well explained all the way. The graphics are simple but clear.

I am not sur why but the first monster who was supposed to destroy skulls didn't seem to work as expected! The next ones did though. I guess the humor is not for everyone, I personally didn't like it but it's great if other people do!

Thanks for the game and good job.

Cagey Chiseled Crow by hijomo 2021-04-27T21:07:26Z

Haha those sound effects, I love it!

Pretty simple and funny game.

Infratoad by Seb_degraff 2021-05-18T09:47:38Z

Beautiful game! The art is stunning, good job team! The music and sounds are nice too. I had fun, but felt like the movement was too slow and I didn't quite understand what the ice blocks do. Thanks for the game!

Majula Fall by maaxoom 2021-04-30T13:30:20Z

Nice game!

The game is very intuitive and well designed. The movement felt good and just the right amount of frustration with no feeling of injustice. All those animations on the character look great.

Small bug with the potion though, drinking it make you go backward and I died twice because of that haha.

Good job!

Last Breath by Yorsh 2021-04-27T01:27:12Z

Mood is fantastic! The hands are great, the depth given by the sharks in the background is nice. The animations work very well and the art is on point.

Awesome job!

I experienced a small bug: if you stay in the game over screen for long enough, the ending will play behind it.

Mandahlia by MicroChasm 2021-04-28T17:07:57Z

This is stunningly beautiful!

The art is so good, the ending is gorgeous, the particle effects are very nice. I know the audio is not yours but it is very very well implemented in the game.

Thanks for the game I loved it 💕

If there was something to make the game even more better for me it would concern the movement and space feeling a bit restricted. I guess I would have liked it even more with just a bit less walls and more freedom, but it might be personal taste, and it is already very close to perfection as far as a jam game goes!

Great job!

The Chasm by Re-Markable 2021-04-30T15:01:50Z

Nice game!

I loved the graphics, the low poly art is good, clear, the room space is practical for the camera and the lightning feels good. The music is nice and the sounds are satisfying. The puzzle mechanic might be very simple but it is innovative and intuitive!

Good job!

Air-O-Space by zoarfy 2021-04-27T20:52:12Z

nice game!

I really like the gameplay, combining multiple elements and adding new stuff every now and then. Visuals are quite nice, and audio feedback sound goods and is well adapted to the game.

I had trouble with the placement of the breathing keys, I might have enjoyed the game a lot more with closer keys! also a small detail, the text is hard to read when you are in lack of oxygen, you can miss some information.

Great job and thanks for the game!

Watcher Patrol 4 by BlueCalx 2021-04-28T10:07:42Z

Nice game! The controls are really interesting and fun. Great idea!

I didn't understand a lot of things though. Why did I die sometimes and not other? Are the weapons I am using actually doing anything? I feel like more visual and audio feedback would be great!

Thanks for the game!

Catch GEMS all by Panzershrek 2021-04-28T09:11:43Z

Nice one!

The music and art are great and engaging. The gameplay is super simple and pleasing. Well job on avoiding the feeling of getting stuck here and there, the movement feels very free and intuitive.

Quite hard to play on trackpad but I still managed to go over 1100!

Thanks for the game 💕

Moot by Peco 2021-05-10T12:14:03Z

Fantastic game!

The art is incredibly beautiful. the controls feel right and the three puzzles are very well designed. The sound design is fantastic from beginning to end. I would love to play a longer version of this!

Great job 💕

Really cute and fun, with a weird aesthetic. The 5 minute timer is perfect for a jam game.

Dream: The Temple Within by dominikscholz 2021-05-06T12:52:28Z

Really nice game!

The art style is super cute and very well done. The gameplay is simple, easily understandable and the sounds make it very satisfying. The game is short and to the point, really great for a jam.

Great job and thanks for the game!

Deeper and Deeper a Self Care Journey by saoi-games 2021-05-01T08:12:35Z

Thank you for this 💕

Yes, there might be room for improvement (the audio quality and mix mostly), but this was already so different from other games and I feel so good coming out of it!

Reminiscence by Curtis Pelissier 2021-04-30T17:59:12Z

Very nice little game!

I love the art, looks a lot like Gris and that is definitely a good thing! The music is fantastic, did you compose it for the jam? That is impressive!

I like the slow rhythm the game set, even if a tiny bit more move speed would feel good I guess. The puzzle are simple and let you enjoy the mood.

Thanks for the game 💕

Deeper In The Night by Lorwon 2021-05-13T13:02:32Z

Super jeu, bravo !

Bravo !

Dive to live by Jammin 2021-04-29T07:21:18Z

Bravo 🐟

Fallen Angel by Eduardo Yukio 2021-05-01T09:33:26Z

Nice game!

It felt a lot like Downwell, but with enough difference to make it interesting. The one I like the most is that you decided to handcraft the level, imo it feels way better than if you had a bad procedural generation like so many other games rush toward. The level design is well done, the mechanic fun and easy to understand. The music is fantastic!

What does the changelog means? Did you change the game post jam? Health and ammo tweaks don't feel like bug fixes to me, maybe you should give people access to two distinct versions (Jam for rating and post-jam for fun).

Thanks for the game I had fun!

Dear Child by deformhead 2021-04-29T08:50:13Z

Wow good job! The story is short and intense, the visuals and audio are stunning. I am always impressed by good compo games, and this one didn't fail to do so!

Shrink and Destroy by Tomssuli 2021-05-06T15:53:11Z

Nice game!

The controls are nice and simple enough if you know games like that. The movement feels good and shooting is ok on most weapon (I had a bit of trouble understanding missiles at first). The diversity (of weapons, enemies, graphics, movement) is super great, each level is short enough to keep its fun all the way and the simple voiced story keep it together nicely. I loved the first level, I felt the second and third one were not as good, maybe a bit rushed due to time constraints?

Good job all the way and thanks for the game!

How to Swim! by backurio 2021-04-29T18:13:15Z

haha awesome take on QWOP.

I quit after 40m but it still took me so much time to get there! I love the calm music and the tutorial, makes for a very relaxed experience.

Spermy the Whale Goes Deeper and Deeper by Flying Dog Fish 2021-04-27T11:47:31Z

Haha this game is a lot of fun. The movement and collisions are very clunky in a good way, and the drawings all look nice!

DISPOSAL by EvilSock 2021-05-04T11:44:05Z

Incredible game!

The art is top notch, super clear, very precise, with a well chosen color palette. The music and audio are good and give good feedback.

The gameplay is simple and easy to understand. I love how at the end of the first game I was like "oooh ok that's how it all works" and jumped right in a second one without having to read anything.

I had a bit of trouble playing on trackpad, but I still think your controls are a great idea. The jump felt a bit sticky against the walls at time but other than that everything was really fine and balanced. I expected something like a score or a distance to the end to push me to continue, but after thinking about it I am not sure that would have been a good idea, it's quite good to keep all the focus on the intrinsic gratification of the core gameplay loop.

Thanks for the game and good job!

Carriere by Morricore 2021-04-29T09:03:19Z

Great idea!

The execution is good for a compo game! The graphics are nice and clear, I had trouble with not being able to mark bombs at first but it stopped being a problem after a few games. Great job too on offering different difficulty settings.

I understand that you made changes after the submission? I guess that to be fair with everyone it would be great if you indicated it, or gave access to two versions: jam and post jam.

Thanks for the game!

The Creature Said DEEPER by UseCondsomsKid 2021-04-28T14:41:39Z

I liked the game idea!

The simple gameplay was pleasing and went well with the focus on dialogues. The art and audio are clear and make everything very understandable. Great job!

I disliked the jokes about penetration and santa offering "nice women", I felt they were vulgar and out of place. The other dialogues are nice and funny!

Deepest Dungeon by Almighty Games 2021-05-04T12:05:14Z

Nice game!

The concept is simple and well executed. The mood the labyrinths set is awesome. I love that you gave a lot of options, even if I would also love to have one more : luminosity (it felt a bit too dark for me)

Very nice low poly art too!

Good job and Thanks for the game!

Deep Sea by enderswype 2021-05-05T20:44:42Z

Great game!

Everything feels very well put together and polished. The controls feel good and precise even if the hitbox of the submarine is huge. The level design is nice and the small metroidvania and persistent elements are well thought.

Thanks for the game I had fun!

Diggillion by OgelGames 2021-04-27T09:34:41Z

Technically impressive game! The core mechanic works really good visually and gameplay wise.

It felt a bit slow and a bit long, and I had trouble knowing which rock where the most valuable.

Thanks for the game!

T-Minus by michaelaranda 2021-04-29T10:48:49Z

Very cute little game!

I love the art, it is cute and clear. The audio is nice and all the sound design helps a lot while playing the game. The physic is fun to play with, even if at first I didn't understand you could adjust the thrust level, and doing so with position on the screen didn't feel very intuitive.

I like how the game is short and each level is different.

Thanks for the game I liked it 💕

Itsybitsy Spideroo by Janetheodd 2021-05-04T09:48:42Z

Nice game 🕷

I love the art, very clear and very cute. I like the music too even if it can become a bit repetitive. The game idea is good, going up to go down lets you get a good sense of space and progression! The game balance is good. I felt it might be a bit too long for a jam game?

Great job all around and thanks for the game!

Doug Deep by jaoel 2021-04-27T08:17:40Z

The visuals, camera, audio, UI are all very good! This is impressive. I loved how everything is explained when needed.

Thanks for the game 💕

Just Dig by TwoWolf 2021-05-03T09:19:09Z

Nice game!

I love the art, your work is stunning for a compo! Music and sounds are nice too.

The game idea is good, and the controls feel quite intuitive. As other people said, balance could be better and there are a lot of bugs, but that can be expected for a compo game.

Thanks for the game, I had fun 💕

Dive into the abyss by xiyou 2021-04-29T10:59:11Z

Nice game!

The game design and balance felt quite good, and the art was very clear and beautiful!

The controls were not very intuitive and explantation not always clear, I think that could be an area of improvement. I think I would have loved this game in a paper version!

Thanks for the game I had fun!

Deep Waste by shadow30 2021-04-27T07:27:46Z

The controls were intuitive, the art style is nice and clear, the sounds give nice feedback. The progression was well balanced, and I loved that the game has an ending.

Good job all around 🐠

Tower Tower Defence Defence by IAmWave 2021-05-05T13:33:53Z

Great game!

I love the idea. I didn't even read the description yet everything felt very clear and intuitive. The balance feel good for a jam game, I am sure it could be better but this might be the thing that needs the most time to get right. The audio and visual feedback is great on all actions.

Great job and thanks for the game!

An Eggsellent Escape by GoldenEvolution 2021-05-06T11:23:15Z

Great game!

The amount of things in this game is impressive, and yet you managed to keep everything concise and diverse. Every part introduces new intuitive gameplay, new beautiful artworks, and progression to the moody story. The platforming gameplay is not perfect, but that is soooo hard to get right and when I try it's way worse.

Good job all around and thanks for the game!

Altum Altum by Maxwell3000 2021-04-28T10:00:34Z

Great puzzle game! The core mechanic is easy to understand and great to play with.

Some puzzles were better designed than other (I enjoyed best the small smart ones rather than the big ones trying to represent something and giving you too much room), but all in all the game was really enjoyable! I played up to the "momentum" puzzle, level 10 I think. Does the game contains many more levels or was I close to the end?

Thanks for the game I had fun 💕

Dikes & Polders by nsadie 2021-04-28T18:12:02Z

I loved this!

The gameplay is smart, balanced, engaging and very intuitive. The art is stunning, and the feedback and animations makes for a very pleasant and polished feeling.

Great job too on making the leaderboard really optional to see and letting player just enjoy the chill experience if they want to.

Thanks for the game 💕

Woah, That's Deep. by Kryndir 2021-04-29T13:30:23Z

Really cute!

I like the art with all the cute animations. The music is great too! The fuel mechanic is a good idea that make it appart from other similar games.

I feel like there aren't enough obstacles, and the ones that are here are a bit hard to avoid because of how slow you move?

Great simple game though!

Mindcraft 2: Robe Squadron by JengaMang 2021-05-18T09:33:38Z

I really like the idea! The game feels a bit like a stripped version of sims such as Game Dev Tycoon. I think it would be great to have a bit more feedback, such as symbols or colors to remind you what you already tried and how they worked together. Congrats on the idea, the concept, keeping it simple like that and getting a complete game!

Dig It! by Elbapotsnugg 2021-04-28T09:32:08Z

Yay, I made it to the bottom! Fun and simple game with a nice play / upgrade flow.

As stated by others, the turning feels way too slow, even with upgrades. In the end I didn't even try to turn and just prayed there were no dynamite, since I couldn't avoid them anyway. Is the turning speed voluntarily this slow or is this a bug (maybe tied to framerate or something?)

I noticed some bugs with the boosts, but hey it's a jam game! Also, I would love it if there were no invisible walls on the side, maybe some looping trick to make it feel like an infinite playground?

Thanks for the game I had fun 💕

Dig It! by Elbapotsnugg 2021-04-28T13:36:10Z

Thanks for the answer @elbapotsnugg!

Glad to hear you thought of this and this was only a question of priorisation. It is always hard to make pertinent feedback after a jam, you never know if all the missing stuff were cut because of time or because people didn't think about it!

Great job again on this

Yellow Submarine by Strange Nebula 2021-04-27T21:02:14Z

Nice game!

The game is very simple and intuitive. Controls feel nice after a bit of time. The art style looks great, I especially loved the transition in the background.

Sound would take that game to the next level by adding some nice feedback.

I felt like the difficulty curve was a bit off, staying to easy for too long?

Thanks for the game I had fun 💕

The Dropper by The0Show 2021-05-02T20:08:09Z

Nice job making a working game! The idea is nice, and it is playable with several levels.

The absence of background or any visual cues makes it very hard to understand when the camera is moving up or down. Also, I feel the precision needed for the landing is a bit rough?

Thanks for the game!

Fight Your Fears by SkelleRoznik 2021-05-05T19:58:32Z

This is very very very good!

It's quite hard to do a platformer that feels good, and this game does it very well. Nothing very original, but everything is very well executed: gameplay feel, variety in the level design, balance, music, sounds, visuals.

Thanks for the game I had fun!

Super Scran by 8KEN 2021-05-12T14:11:52Z

Quite hard to understand at first, but nice game! As other said, interactions are not intuitive and the first prompt of interaction being undoable feels like a bug even if it is not. Great job making a complete game, and nice choice of fun art too!

To Return To One's Root by C3ll256 2021-04-28T15:06:51Z

I loved this!

The game idea of controlling things is cute and nicely executed. It reminded me of the game Everything! The music is lovely, even if a bit choppy on the web version. I mostly loved the visuals and the mood they set!

The ending felt a bit strange, changing controls for just one short scene did not add much to my experience. Was it not finished as intended?

Thanks for the game I had a good time 💕

Linguini's Adventure by Washington Irving 2021-04-27T07:12:25Z

I really like the art style! The movement feels good, but the jump on the first platform felt quite hard (maybe I missed some double jump mechanic?) The loading mechanic is nice, but the angle of the shooting feels a bit weird.

Good job! 🕷

Your Average Lift Experience by Katsuhira 2021-05-17T16:35:19Z

Probably the best game I played this jam! Everything was superb, good job. I laughed several time, and the feedback on everything was sooo good.

I just think you should not be rated in audio since you did not make the song?

Pearls of Wisdom by JHax 2021-04-27T09:54:51Z

Great small game!

I like the art style, the map menu looks great, the music is very calming and a lot of things are very intuitive!

I noticed a few thing: - air bubbles don't give you back enough oxygen for them to feel worth it. - air bubbles sprite go over the oxygen UI.

Great job and thanks for the game 💕

Jimdinant to the core by Jvdwijk 2021-04-27T20:39:49Z

nice job making a working game! I like the fact that you can control with either mouse or keyboard.

Balance feels very off, I could only gather one or two rock per run and the minimum upgrades required 10, which discouraged me pretty quickly.

Thanks for the game!

@wouter52 @tanner-shelton Thank you so much! Really encouraging to hear that you would have liked a longer version 🐟

@almighty-games Thanks a lot for playing it on stream! It was really interesting to see you play. The games does need some work on sound options, hints and more visual cues to complement the audio ones. Thanks again 🦈

@luc-creationallabs @kaappis Thanks a lot for the feedback! We were indeed more focused on the mood and discovery feeling than gameplay this time. I feel like the game is mostly missing hints or logic in the puzzles, as you stated it is too much 'trial and error'. Thanks again 🐳

@civmaniac Thank you for the feedback! There are no alternate endings, that could be a great idea with more time! We decided to remove control of the character to focus the experience, but I understand that it might hinder the feeling of exploration. Thanks again 🐡

@panzershrek Thank you! It is really encouraging to hear that you would have liked a longer version 🐳

@natalia-dushkina This is so heartwarming. I am glad you finally found the solution for the jellyfish puzzle, it's not the most well designed one! I hope your son is well and will keep having such great taste 🤿

@thejookerful Thank you! It's funny how close our games are! Before choosing the puzzles, we also had the idea of taking pictures of fish and animals! I think you did a wonderful job designing it 🐠

@josephdevelops That is a very high praise coming from you! Thank you so much for playing it on stream your reactions were lovely 🐡

@niklas-zhaga Thank you! Not a lot of people know of this, I am glad you understood it!

@koalaura Thank you! Different endings would have been a wonderful idea given more time!

@justcamh Thank you so much for playing it on stream and the feedback! You found all the puzzles pretty quickly 🐟

@peachtreeoath Thank you for the feedback! I am really happy to hear that you liked the diversity, it was an improvement I really wanted to make over my previous games.

@juliestrator Thanks a lot! Seeing you play on stream was lovely 💕

@tommytheitguy Thank you so much and thank you for linking the replay! I agree with you, the game does need a little more indication, hints or feedback on puzzles, mostly the first one! The story is based on the Selkie myth, women turning into seals.

@xpoho thank you for the poetic writing! I am glad you enjoyed the story.

@henanboy Thank you, your comment and others make us swim in joy 🐡

@vladadamm Thanks a lot for the detailed feedback! We absolutely agree on all your comments, and those were all on our list, but the priorities we decided meant they didn't make the cut! Too bad, maybe they could have been easy quick wins. For the whale sound, it seems to be a Google Chrome issue, I am glad at least it only seems to do that with this particular sound!

@zathnic Thanks a lot! We are not very good at designing puzzles yet, maybe once it becomes easier for us we will be able to make an experience with a bit more 🐟

@neowhoru Thank you! I agree the game does need a bit more hints or feedback. It's very hard to keep those subtle enough to not ruin the experience, we are very new yet to puzzle design and that is definitely an area of improvement!

@fargred @geo3d @mlho7 @duck-reaction @korfi @recursor @doctortm @attala Thank you so much it means a lot 💕🐋

@ardorugus Thank you! Happy that the ending made you think.

@luketobin Thank you! We are not very experienced in puzzle design yet, and we wanted to focus the game on the mood, that's why we made them simple enough. Really happy to know you would have liked it longer 🐟

@waltsontanaka Thanks a lot! More animation or movement on the diver would indeed be great. Sound were indeed from sound banks, you can find links on the itch page if you like them!

@lorwon Merci beaucoup! Trop content que la baleine t'ai surpris, c'était une de nos premières idées et c'était pas évident de trouver la bonne mise en scène!

@fabula-rasa Thank you! Happy that you recognized the legend, not a lot of people do 🦦

@zlan100 @noteworthy Thank you so much your comments are really nice 🐳

@nsadie Thank you! So happy to know that your boys liked it!

@manan @zaibakk Thank you! We are not very experienced in puzzle design yet, and we wanted to focus the game on the mood, that's why we made them simple enough. It's quite hard to do interesting puzzle that do not become frustrating for some players. Maybe one day with more experience!

Dragon Space by timeloopedpowergamer 2021-05-03T15:37:42Z

Nice game!

I am not a fan of clickers, but this one have a lot of great ideas! I like how the narration is done, and I am absolutely in love with the music and the mood it sets.

Great job 💕

Sunken Dungeon by Pascone 2021-05-03T09:31:55Z

Yaay, floor 19 after a few tries!

Very good game idea! Graphics are nice and cute, music is good and sounds are clear.

As many other peoples, I had a hard time understanding there was a second page in the tutorial! Once I found it, everything became much smoother, and the game felt really great.

Sometimes, my click didn't seem to register, mostly on the later level, I am sorry I cannot be more useful I don't really know what caused this.

Also, I would love it if the color circles where bigger (like really big). It would help you prioritize enemies at first glance when entering a new floor for exemple.

Thanks for the game, I had fun 💕

One Dive Man by ofroes 2021-04-28T14:52:41Z

Nice game!

I liked the visuals and loved the music. I am not quite sure I understood the game though. Should I tap the keys, should I hold them? Once I reached the bottom of the ocean, how to go deeper yet? Is this level based? Maybe the game lacked a bit of feedback, but it's quite normal for a jam game!

Thanks for the game 💕

birb by Glaas 2021-05-03T09:49:19Z

Ohhh damn that music felt good! The art was stunning too, excellent choices there. Could we get some link to those?

I needed a few runs to understand exactly what was going on, but once I did it felt great to play. I like how the game is kept short enough to keep the excitement all along.

As other said, there are some bugs here and there, mostly with collision while flying, but well it's a jam game! One thing I would have loved is the distance indicator to be closer to the direction arrow!

Thanks for the game, I had a good time 💕

Of Void by Finn_Tr 2021-04-28T16:26:11Z

Nice game!

I knew I recognized the graphics, I've loved Never End last year! Your art style is great 💕 There are some nice puzzles in this one, I like how well each mechanic is introduced.

I am NOT ready to destroy the earth tho.

Thanks for the game!

Surinapiri - Suruvuori by kovalok 2021-04-28T09:43:16Z

Yay nice, I love some Doom like from time to time.

Simple yet quite fun, wit very nice graphics and audio all around. Doesn't lag at all on my crapy old laptop with no graphic cards, good job.

A few things I noticed: - weapon choice is great, but shotgun felt a bit weak. - movement felt slow for a Doom like, and didn't help for the shotgun feeling. - I couldn't go past floor 3, the tree didn't trigger anything on this level. - Audio feedback of enemy getting hit would feel nice I think. - Shooter enemies continue shooting during their death animations.

Thanks for the game I had fun!

Asteroid's Ahead: Double Trouble by AR Borno 2021-04-29T07:29:52Z

Any finished compo game is impressive to me, good job!

I guess you know it and just didn't find the time, but the game lacks a lot of feedback. Audio cues on the buttons, life bar (I'm not even sur if there is a concept of life or not?), and I also didn't understand what some elements where doing (the fans and big yellow bubbles). Also, I feel like the dispositions of the coins could be more interesting.

Thanks for the game I had fun, and once again congratulations on making this alone in 2 days! You are a hero.

Lidenbrock by Notinatal 2021-04-28T15:49:02Z

Great game!

The gameplay is smart and fun once you get the hang of it. The art is nice and fitting, with a lot of beautiful effects and small details like the color on top when changing difficulty. Audio and visual feedbacks are great.

I wish there was a way to restart faster and skip the intro animation. Did I just not find it?

Thanks for the game I had fun!

THE COOKIE IS A LIE by Wouter52 2021-05-03T16:31:48Z

Nice game!

The story is simple and cute, with funny choices. The "wall of fame" underneath is a superb idea!

I love the character creator 💕 It just felt a bit sad to have to choose between "Genders". Maybe you could use the wording "Shape" like Nintendo does in recent games?

Thanks for the game!

THE COOKIE IS A LIE by Wouter52 2021-05-04T12:11:44Z

That is very great to hear you thought about it! Those matters are always hard to answer and I guess the best is to always question ourselves and ask people around us!

One idea for the first point would be to also ask for pronoun on top of shape. One could chose between "he/him", "she/her" and the genderless "they/them".

Also just for the anecdote, this becomes even harder when you do localisation. In French for exemple, we do not even have genderless pronouns...

A Taste of the Past by Emily Pitcher 2021-04-28T20:36:24Z

This was fantastic. The visuals are absolutely gorgeous, and the story is very well written. Thank you for this 💕

Expedition into the Aronnax Trench by parkuhrmd 2021-04-27T10:29:53Z

This is absolutely incredible!

The controls takes some time to get used to, but in a good way, as this is clearly intended and serves the experience. The graphic choice of pixel art inside and low polly outside is fantastic. The audio sets just the right ambiance.

At the beginning, my first picture added some fish I did not even see to my collection. Maybe it was far away in the background? The ending art felt rushed, but this might be the only thing that is not very well polished in the game.

Full 5/5 for me, great job 💕

Dig it up, dog! by MaDuShI 2021-04-27T01:34:41Z

This is fantastic 🐶

I laughed several times, and the digging mechanic really involved me without putting too much pressure. The pixel art is very colorful, clear and look awesome!

Thanks for the game, I will definitely come back to it to see if I discovered everything!

Small bug: I cannot skip the tutorial on consecutive runs?

Khazads by vsi- 2021-04-28T11:52:14Z

Nice game!

The visual and audio are a bit blunt but very understandable. I like all the little audio feedback even on simple interactions. The text indications is a great jam solution to all all those things that are not intuitive, it made the game enjoyable all along. Was it done post jam though? You might want to make that really clear somewhere.

Thanks for the game I had fun!

My Dentures! by Luc-creationallabs 2021-05-04T12:19:48Z

Wooow what a compo game.

The art is super clean, clear, and even have some nice animations to tie everything together. The sounds are sparse but do their job very well. Maybe a bit more feedback when getting hurt would be great as stated by other.

The game mechanic is super smart, easy to understand and fun to play with!

Awesome job, thanks for the game!

Leap of Faith by Sombrero Guy 2021-05-14T06:51:05Z

Nice game!

The game feels good, and the fact that it has a little story and is short enough to not get boring sets it appart from similar games. I like the parachute mechanic and the UI being on top of your character's head. I really like the art and the colors, but they make it a bit hard to understand what is happening sometimes. Also, I think maybe less randomness in the way obstacles are disposed could lead to more interesting movement for the player.

Thanks for the game I had fun!

Game-ception by Herbyvor 2021-04-27T07:47:15Z

Nice idea, and good job making all of this solo!

The movement feels ok and intuitive. I would love it if there was coyote jump. Nice job doing an in game tutorial!

A few things I noticed: - The web version is cropped and has no option to play full screen. Since it's a unity build, in the itch settings, set to auto detect size! - Some corners and walls feel sticky. - The tilemap is sometimes bugging visually in the web version.

ROOTS by TheGreenWorm 2021-05-05T14:29:36Z

This is fantastic!

One of the only LD game I invested so much time in. The rhythm of the game is really smooth, the music puts you in a great mood and every run is very satisfying.

Someone already mentioned the upward momentum bug I see, this was the only strange thing I could see.

Thanks a lot I had a great time 💕

Swing Shroom by Quite Good 2021-05-12T14:44:06Z

Nice game!

The art and music are really really cute. I loved the jumping sound. The gameplay feels surprisingly nice. It's not perfect, but platforming controls are hard as hell to make properly, the rope mechanic feels really hard to do too and yet the game is very enjoyable. Good job! The level design feels a bit meh at times, maybe making the game shorter by cutting some uninteresting parts would make it even better.

Thanks for the game I had fun!

Lost in the deep by Ambear 2021-04-27T07:17:33Z

is it possible to get a portable version? Having to use an installer scares me a bit

Lost in the deep by Ambear 2021-04-27T07:39:06Z

Thanks for the portable version ;)

I really liked the mood, the lights and texture look good! controls feel a bit weird but in a good way. Good job.

Ariel Cleanomancer and the Eldritch Sweep by alyd asmar 2021-04-27T08:11:23Z

Great game!

I really liked how everything is introduced, with controls always on screen and good puzzle design. I especially love the puzzle teaching the turbo mode.

Art style is really good and all the little audio for feedback make the game feel very polished.

Thanks for the game 💕

Monster in the Deep by chuckie 2021-05-09T18:56:06Z

Nice game! The visuals are really great, and the camera choice is a very good idea with great execution. That red light on top of the enemy's head is a great idea too! The movement feels nice. The introduction is great and the short line of dialogues help understand what to do.

Maybe a bit more indication on how many code number you have yet to find, and a clearer indication of where is the reactor would be great. Also small bug: when you go back to menu after starting a game, I think the timer is still going and won't reset if you press start again!

Great job and thanks for the game!

Clean The Ocean by DariushF 2021-04-27T07:32:52Z

The art style is nice!

I didn't really get the game though, how do you get oxygen ? I tried shooting the fish and collecting waste but I always seemed to lack oxygen anyway.

Drill Cave by Ryder Studios 2021-05-03T08:22:43Z

Great game!

I loved the art and the music. All the audio and visual feedback on interactions felt great. The level design and balance are very good. Also the game is quite short, which is good for a game jam!

I agree with MetalFox on their two points: - the controls felt a bit wrong. - there were some unfair bits in the level design. However I feel they were rare!

Thanks for the game I had fun.

Deranged Space by Roman Dubrovin 2021-04-30T11:43:09Z

Nice prototype!

The ambiance is well set by the music, sounds and lights. The story is very short but intriguing.

Here are some bugs I encountered if it can help you: - I had a lot of problems with the doors, I got stuck many times and had to restart twice. - The game crashed before the ending.

Thanks for the game!

Fish Quest by GoldenPalazzo 2021-04-27T08:34:41Z

Nice music, nice art!

As stated by others, controls are indeed very slow and make it incredibly hard to react in time. I would love a way to restart quicker, without the animation. I went back to start menu every time, did I miss a way to restart faster?

Big congrats on your first game jam 💕

Fish Quest by GoldenPalazzo 2021-04-27T22:10:21Z

yay, restart button and a bit more room to react! It makes the game a lot bette for me.

Deep sleep by Zef1r 2021-04-30T12:06:29Z

Really nice game!

I loved the low poly art and the cute music. It's great that you took time to make an introduction and clear controls. I love the idea of three dreams with three gameplay. It feels a bit too ambitious though, and maybe that's why some parts were less pleasant than others.

Thanks for the game I had a good time!

Little Mother by Save Sloth Studios 2021-04-28T14:18:06Z

This is so great!

I love the art, and all the little details in animations, UI and colors. The story is well paced with just the right amount of mystery.

I was a bit disturbed by the music, it felt choppy with a lot of stutter, I don't know if it's wanted and I don't have the ear for it or if it is a problem with my old laptop.

Great job I enjoyed it very much 💕

Mariana's Trench by mmisspelling 2021-04-28T12:00:06Z

Nice game!

The rythme feels very good, alternating between moody exploration, stressful mini game and calm text explanations. Great simple art too!

Thanks for the game and awesome job doing all of this on your own 💕

Beat-Dive by ShotgunSamurai_ 2021-04-27T08:54:17Z

Nice idea! I had trouble at first but then I got into it and it felt good with the slam.

The visuals are a bit aggressive in the tutorial but they look better in game with the background.

Thanks for the game!

Atlantis Gold by SuperFishBoy 2021-04-29T17:24:24Z

Thanks for the game!

The fact that you can only shoot upward is a bit surprising, but it is an interisting idea.

Graphite Journey by pnkvrt 2021-05-05T13:44:45Z

Incredible mood and art!

I was really hooked by all the weird text on the second run, too bad you didn't have time to finish it but awesome job already on everything that is in here!

Thanks for the experience 💕

Ocean Snap by TheJookerful 2021-05-01T10:36:36Z

Nice game!

The idea of taking pictures was one of our plans, but I think you did it better than we ever could! The little sentences, the score and the "pokedex" all tie it together nicely. Also all those drawings are very cute!

Thanks for the game I had a great time.

Abyssal Secrets by thain 2021-05-01T08:23:49Z

Nice little game!

The movement feels good, the exploration is engaging and the upgrades with coins is a nice idea. I had trouble with the enemy fish never stopping to follow you if you don't have an item, it felt a bit too stressful.

As said by others, the background is blurry and the UI is not scaled well in the web version. - For the background, when importing an image in unity, you can choose compression setting. For pixel art, you want to change those settings, here is a tutorial for that : https://hackernoon.com/making-your-pixel-art-game-look-pixel-perfect-in-unity3d-3534963cad1d - for the UI, it's always a bother to set it up correctly, but continue to toy with the scaling and anchor settings and I am sure it will be perfect in your next game! When it's still hard to find the right tweaks, rememeber you can change the base resolution in unity settings and in the itch.io page!

I hope this helps, good job making this game 🐟

Unto the Eight by Threeli 2021-05-09T19:10:19Z

Nice game!

The visuals are really really great. The game idea (mix of survival with exploration missions) is great and sets an interesting mood. The music and sounds are simple and work well. The menu looks good and very nice job on doing a tutorial in a compo game.

I was a bit confused at first because I thought everything was advancing regarding time and not steps, so I stressed and mashed movement and everything went even faster haha! The west and east edges of the map were not very clear to me also.

Thanks for the game and incredible job for a compo!

Deep Sleep by Link270 2021-04-28T09:00:31Z

Wow great job!

The mood is definitely there, with music, dialog and environment setting it right from the beginning. It lagged a bit on my crappy computer, but I could still enjoy it.

You are aware of this, but some puzzles would benefit from more hints or feedback (as in our game haha). The doc with solution is a great backup plan to compensate!

Thanks for the game 💕

Hyperspace Narwhale by styrofoamwaffle 2021-05-12T14:23:14Z

nice game!

The gameplay is super simple and well done. The music is awesome and carries the game! The art is really cute too. The saturation and contrast of some background was a bit high for me, my eyes hurt easily and it felt a bit like playing on Lylat in Smash haha. I really liked some details like the beat effect of the background following the rhythm.

Thanks for the game I had fun!

HELL deep is your love? by Villanelle 2021-05-12T13:28:08Z

Really great game!

It feels a lot like a Castlevania, with very good control feel, nice concise level design and well balanced difficulty. The music and sound design are fantastic. The pixel art is awesome, even if some details feels a bit off (non pixel perfect scroll and movement is fine for me but rotating sprite feel flat and weird). The inverted parallax of the background give a really weird and cool vibe!

It seems that all small issues I could point out are corrected in the post jam version!

Great job team, this is a very very good game 💕

Jung Guns by vickles 2021-05-18T09:56:29Z

Great game! The art is really really good and the sound design too. I like the patterns of the bosses, and the small story on top. Like some others, I felt the game was a bit difficult in a somewhat frustrating way, especially regarding the hurtbox size of your "ship". Hurtboxes are usually super tiny in shmup and it felt weird to get hit on the edge of the ship. Great job anyway this is a super solid compo entry 💕

Jojo's Treasure by poddlesli 2021-05-03T15:56:01Z

Nice game!

I like the idea, and I love the art with all the cute animations. The digging felt a bit too random for me, is there a hint on where the key or ladder could be? Maybe I missed something.

Thanks for the game!

Ludum Dare 48 - Deep trouble in Little town? by Geo3D 2021-05-01T13:35:13Z

Nice game!

The art looks fantastic, I absolutely love the low poly style with few colors. And there are so many 3D assets + cute animations! Wow. The movement felt good and fast enough. The story was nice.

Maybe the fetch quest was a bit too long? At least it let me stay in this beautiful world longer!

Great job and thanks for the game 💕

Goo Grab by Phillip Scott 2021-05-10T12:02:37Z

Nice game!

The "simplified Noita" feeling is really great, and there are a lot of very well done thing here! Controls feel good, right and left click actions are super smart and enjoyable, procedural generation and fluid physics work well, visuals are simple and clear, sound design is nice... Very good jam game all around!

The walls felt a bit sticky, did you forget to change the friction on their material?

Thanks for the game I had fun!

Elevator oddysey! by timepass 2021-05-13T19:47:42Z

Nice game! There are a lot of interesting mechanics that make up for a fun prototype.

As other said, I believe you should opt out of graphics and audio categories.

Wander through the caves in search of a new nest by arekb 2021-04-30T11:31:56Z

Wow I loved it!

Did you make all those cute characters, textures and animations for the jam? They are positively lovely. They were a lot of things that weren't quite clear in interaction, mostly due to lack of audio feedback. I guess that was cut because of time and that's ok. Even then, I had a really great time just wandering around and looking at my incredibly cute flock of followers.

Thanks for the game and good job 💕

Also, if you want to have more feedback and grades on your game (you deserve it), here are two ways: - give grades and feedbacks to other. The more you rate, the higher you will appear in game search. - maybe do a web port? Really easy to do with Unity, but I am very unsure this kind of 3D game would not lag.

Poss Loot by Guax 2021-05-14T11:17:29Z

I love the controls and the characters animation! The game idea works well and is balanced too. Sound would definitely be great for feedback.

Deep into the vibe by Ariorick 2021-05-11T17:01:08Z

Wow, great compo game!

I absolutely loved the music and the art. The simple gameplay is pleasant, the rotating animation add a lot to the game. For simple arcade games like this one, I believe semi randomness or patterns are preferable to pure randomness. Having obstacles positioned in an intended way can force interesting player movement and feel more synchronous with the rhythm even when it's not.

Thanks for the game I had fun!

Aby's Life 🐠 by Tieffeline 2021-04-28T17:45:04Z

Oh lala j'adore 🤿

The Golden Saucisse by BrokenMatcha 2021-05-05T20:18:12Z

Super cute drawings, nice music and nice animation and audio on interactions. The controls felt a bit messy on the way up, I was not sure if I was supposed to spam the up button or not?

Thanks for the game I had fun!

I didn't even know if it was possible to get it out but I kept trying and I did! Great job the art is perfect, the music fantastic and the design hilarious and very adapted to a compo game.

Congrats 🦟

Gecko Dive by bqq 2021-04-29T10:25:13Z

This is so good!

The art is gorgeous, the puzzles are well designed, the music is very cute, the feedback is perfect all around. I love it, I hope someday I am good enough to make such quality content.

You can be very proud this is so good!

Thanks I loved it 🐊

Deep Breath by Saltysa 2021-05-06T13:59:28Z

Nice game!

5/5 graphics and mood, I absolutely love your style and your game atmosphere 💕 The game is full of good ideas and the main mechanic is nice. The platforming mechanics could have been better, but that is very hard to do and almost impossible to get right in such short time.

Great job and thanks for the game!

Thanks for the laugh!

Warp Engineer Simulator by Kichiguy 2021-10-06T20:25:59Z

I loved it 💕

The UI is sooo on point, great job. The game concept is super clear and intuitive with a lot of affordance. This lets you use weird cryptic messages just for immersion, and with the great sound design added to that it works really well. The progression is satisfying and the difficulty felt well adjusted to me.

Awesome job!

Potion Trouble by Yorsh 2021-10-05T05:17:02Z

Really cool game!

Art and music are incredible for a compo game. Great job on those sounds too! I like the simple idea, and the cool little twists like the mushrooms that make you fly.

Thanks for the game!

The Intoxicated Boat Chauffeur by Dudum Lare 2021-10-09T09:40:10Z

Nice job!

I like the idea. The art you chose is really nice and the mouse controls are great and responsive. It took me a few seconds to understand what I had to do. I think it would be more fun if there were more unpredictability durink the "drunk" events. The way it is now, the safe strat that consists in pushing against the force applied to the boat is a bit boring and too efficient.

Thanks for the game 💕

Babel by Gaming Night 2021-10-05T18:47:34Z

I loved this!

The "unstable stacking of things" idea is taken to its best here. I love the clarity of everything. The response of controls are great, the feedback are nice. The sound design adds a strange mood that is quite fitting.

What I liked the most is that without looking at the controls, I played only with left click on the mouse and it was very pleasing! The auto rotation and set angle of the camera make for a comfortable experience!

Great job :two_hearts:

Unstabadome by Dj Depressive 2021-10-06T20:17:33Z

Nice job!

I liked the art style, the music and the voice. The options menu right at the start is cool, I wished I could access it from the pause during game. The controls are intuitive at first but become weird when you change gravity. The idea is very cool though! I played v0.1 and found the self damage you can do with the bazooka quite punishing and with a very big aoe.

Thanks for the game I had fun!

Uranium-236 by XeduR 2021-10-07T18:33:07Z

The rules are simple enough so you get them after a few tries. The gameplay is very simple yet engaging. The feedbacks (audio / screenshake / visuals) are great!

Thanks for the game

Nightstruck by Flomino 2021-10-17T19:27:25Z

I loved the graphics, this will definitely inspire me for future games! The music fits super well too.

The gameplay has nothing fancy but the controls are pleasant and there are not too much back and forth in the fetch quests.

Thanks a lot I had a good time 💕

The Builders by Dante2001 2021-10-05T19:16:45Z

Really good job on this game!

The narrative direction is absolutely fantastic for a jam game. the execution is also on point, your selection of assets, systems and audio serves the game well.

Thanks for the game I felt a lot of different emotions 💕

Benji's Boat by MargotLsdgt 2021-10-17T19:15:13Z

Nice job! The game is visually beautiful, the music is lovely and the ambiance sounds work great!

The idea is fun even if it lacks a bit in execution. The controls with arrow keys gives so little feedback that you never know if its bugging or not. The drag and drop is quite buggy and is a bit cheated with the last item.

The progression works super well, I loved how the waves were massive at around 150 score.

Thanks for the game 💕

LD50 — Delay the inevitable

Aito Deliverance by Joror 2022-04-18T11:45:06Z

Very cool concept. It was really interesting to try to understand every interaction during the game. Also the mood was definitely there. Great job!

Strata by Skyeward 2022-04-06T18:23:06Z

Incredible game for a jam!

Art is super clean with juicy feedback, sound design is very good. The different mechanics are well done and well explained.

I had a bit of trouble with aiming with my mouse, and I encountered some bugs, but nothing that stopped me from enjoying this beautiful game!

Eschaton, Dark Forest of the by Tygrak 2022-04-10T20:16:05Z

Very cool came!

I love the (almost) black and white with voxel and pixel, it works well and is a superb compo idea for efficiency. The cryptic mood is great, the gameplay is clear and simple, and the dialogs help a lot to understand the rules and set the mood. Some moving distance between PoI were a bit long, it was cool to have a higher moving speed but still.

Thanks for the game and great job!

Shotgun King: the Final Checkmate by benjamin 2022-04-06T21:24:18Z

Wow this is damn good!

I loved the game, and I loved the fact that I discovered your studio and your work. Very admirative of what you people do!

I'm Not A Robot by Turkey 2022-04-05T19:19:56Z

Great job! The game is definitely original and fun! The captcha are really well implemented, and the difficulty curve is pleasant.

Made it to 19!

Bullets For Hell by davision 2022-04-18T11:56:57Z

Very nice game! The fact that you can only strafe is quite confusing at first but I liked it in the end, it lets you focus on the actual interesting aspect of the game: big tower, lots of demons, lots of bullets. I like games that keep it simple and this one is very well done is this regard! Also having to stop shooting to collect XP works well.

I had a bit of trouble with height when I strafed I don't really know why.

Thanks for the game I had fun! (got to lvl 21)

Sakura Shrine by arzi 2022-04-18T11:35:56Z

Very nice game! The polish on the pixel art, SFX and animations is very very good. I also love the font you used.

The gameplay of balancing between protection and accomplishing the ritual is well balanced

I get the idea of trying to find out what poem should go where, but it took me a bit of time and I was not very good at it haha!

Thanks for the game I had fun and would love to see other games you make!

Mech & Aliens by firellon 2022-04-19T20:11:35Z

Super cool game! I love the idea, I love the execution, good job on everything ✨

I failed but was sooo close haha.

Thanks for the game I had fun!

Baking Simulator 2022 by Sarah 2022-04-07T18:13:13Z

Cute game! I liked the fact that you always had to think a little on what combination of spoons you should use. Some elements were a bit hard to understand at first, I spend a couple of minutes looking for a bowl before understanding I had to validate the receipe haha. The hints and zoom are very nice ideas.

Good job! 🧁

STUDY LADY (cookie mix) by PeachTreeOath 2022-04-21T16:36:15Z

That was so cool!

Mixing an idle game with super nice animations and switching scenes like that is a very good idea and work well, good job 🥛

Concave Knave by krammetje 2022-04-11T19:59:40Z

Nice little boss fight game!

I was a bit skeptical at first, since some basic elements such as the character controller or feedbacks are not perfect. But the rhythm of the game (the fact that the boss only takes a few hits at each level is very good) and the very varied patterns make the game interesting and challenging really quickly! Great job on making such a simple idea fun and coherent with the theme!

Earworm Jam by ursagames 2022-04-15T14:26:16Z

ok this was definitely weird and fun haha!

I liked the art, the sound, the overall mood here. The concept was a bit too cryptic for me and that was a bit unpleasant at first, even if losing was still fun because of those awesome animations and great music!

Great job on this it's quite something 🪱

Dino Fate by Zettelkasten 2022-04-15T12:50:02Z

What a nice game!

The gameplay is quite simple at first, and then the tower defense elements add a lot of depth. You are always trying to survive long enough for the next upgrade, and the difficulty curve is really well done! The graphics were nice even if a bit unreadable after level 7 or 8.

Great job and thanks for the game I had fun 🦖🦕☄️

Off with the show! by edwigelel 2022-04-07T20:27:12Z

I liked the sound and graphics! Also good take on the theme. I'm not exactly sure I understood if I combined things or not?

Home Before Dark by j_cob 2022-04-09T09:31:38Z

As other said, there is an issue with speed! It's just impossible to get further than 2 powerups. Maybe the speed is tied to framerate? Then try multiplying it by Time.DeltaTime.

Great idea anyway, and good job!

Lava is Deadly by OadT 2022-04-16T21:44:22Z

Very very strong compo entry, great job! I loved the gameplay. I'm not a big puzzle player, so I had to stop after the first Push levels, but I enjoyed the game a lot until then!

Thanks for the game and great job 🍌

TOOB by Gatlink 2022-04-19T17:01:46Z

Very nice game!

The art, the navigation in menus, the controls, everything is so smooth and polished ✨ I found the game a bit too easy and repetitive without always accelerating, so I challenged myself to never drop the right trigger. This is my best score on 1.2 at max speed!

Untitled.png

Thanks for the game I had fun!

Into The Light by Yorsh 2022-04-04T22:29:25Z

Awesome compo game! It looks, feel and sound very good. Everything is quite intuitive, and the game is well paced.

Those mantis are very scary hahaha 🦟

Will There Bee Another? by Gabriel Dias Oliveira de Almeida 2022-04-05T19:27:53Z

very cute game 💕✨

Loved the art style, and the dialogue were simple and cute. I had a bit of trouble getting to the good ending but I finally did it!

Procrabstination by sebastianscaini 2022-04-07T18:00:10Z

Very fun game!

Games are super stupid and useless and this fits so well with the theme and the game, good job. I love the art on every part of the game, and it feels polish even with so many crab styles!

Thanks for making me lose 9 minutes of my day 🦀

fireme.club by velvetlobster 2022-04-21T10:16:29Z

That was quite fun! Great art and nice concept. It felt a bit too complicated for me, even after 15 mins I was still a bit lost on some of the mechanics.

Thanks for the game!

Dating under the Comet by Joscco 2022-04-11T20:08:29Z

Such a cool game!

The procedural portraits with elements from the parents is a very good idea and incredibly well realised with a very adapted art style. The general mood is very fun and all the elements go well together! I had a bit of trouble understanding why some dating actions went better than some other (I think there is a bit of random in it?), otherwise it was all very enjoyable and fun!

Thanks for the game and great job ☄️

Disaster Waiting by mimusangel 2022-04-16T12:33:37Z

Nice game!

The build up is fun when you are hoping that no disaster hit you before you have time to protect your buildings. Then once I had a lot of protections it became a bit boring, maybe it would be a bit more fun if the difficulty ramp up continuously instead of having to wait 10 minutes for the disaster to come (people usually spend less than 5 minutes on any jam game).

Thanks for the game I had fun ☄️

Mow Bot by Seng 2022-04-07T20:06:28Z

Great game!

Classic and intuitive gameplay with a very good execution! The space for errors and the timer are very nice ideas. I would love a webgl version to come back to it sometimes!

This is so good, thanks a lot for making this!

Wipeout by TheMoonrise 2022-04-16T19:32:16Z

Awesome game!

I was an absolute fan of YouRiding at the time so this throws me back! I liked the controls, it's really difficult to balance on the wave at first but once you get it it feels good! Art is also nice and readable with cool music.

Thanks for the game and great job!

The Great Flood by cassowary 2022-04-18T14:46:32Z

Incredible compo game! Great work!

I loved everything about it: The art, the mood, the sound design, but mostly, the concision and simplicity of everything. The big roman numbers to clearly show the height of each level is superb.

Thanks for the game!

Life On Mars by anstabo 2022-04-06T20:54:06Z

Wooow this is very good!

It looks absolutely stunning, and I loved the music choices! Some controls feel a bit weird at first but it makes it always so cool to get the next reward!

As someone who started playing Crumble on my switch just yesterday, I absolutely loved this one:

HONORED EXECUTION by Cope 2022-04-05T06:11:52Z

Great game!

The pixel art is gorgeous. The game is super simple yet interesting and satisfying, perfect for a jam game. I love the design of the big badies, they force you to always be on the move.

Maybe hitboxes and hurtboxes could be a bit clearer, I sometimes was a bit confused on what just touched me!

Thanks for the game I had fun ⚔️

Tilted Saloon by Vitor Milioni 2022-04-07T19:48:24Z

Nice job!

I loved Yoku's Island Express so I like those kind of games ✨ Visuals are nice, controls are very intuitive. As other said games might be a bit too hard, but mostly too frustrating due to large spaces with no bumpers where you just have to wait for the ball to live its life.

Great job and thanks for the game 🤠

Heal me, please! by Andrey_Zhukov 2022-04-15T14:17:02Z

Really good idea and beautiful art!

As other said, it's quite cryptic at first without tutorial but it's very pleasant once you understand how the game works.

Nice job!

Go Go Car Boom by Russ Moonbase 2022-04-16T19:02:15Z

Nice little racing game!

I personally liked the controls and found it fun to drift and race, but the it was quite difficult to target those blue stuff so I just used the one near the end that can remove everything.

Good job and thanks for the game!

Cards of Life by TheMiSta92 2022-04-09T09:08:42Z

Nice job on the UI, visuals and texts! The game runs well even on a UW screen.

Gameplay wise, it felt a bit too random to me, I didn't really have any way to inform any decision, and was not quite sure what karma does. Also, I think it would be great if you couldn't have the same choice twice in a row, even if it was quite fun to spend my whole life trying to learn to read and randomly succeeding and failing haha.

Good job!

The Arcane Artist by Savolae 2022-04-15T15:15:43Z

Really cool game!

I was an absolute fan of Lost Magic when I was young so this is just the right mechanic for someone like me! I laughed when I died by The hand on my first run.

Maybe the game is a bit too dark?

Great job and thanks for the game!

DeePenguin Boreal Offensive by Bruyère Alice 2022-04-17T19:31:55Z

Nice little game! I really really dig the art style and cute animations 💖🐧 The game feels very unbalanced in the current state but I'm sure it's only because it's the jam version!

Nice job

Delay The Invasion by Dannyk1994 2022-04-15T15:25:01Z

Nice job!

The art and audio chosen are great. The gameplay is fun and hectic, but I had a lot of trouble understanding some of the mechanics or what plants actually did at first. Also I saw nothing to remind me if I forgot or clicked to fast?

Thanks for the game!

@fae-pdf thank you thank you thank you 💕 I am so glad that you liked our game, that you saw all the game design decisions we took during this weekend, and that you took the time to write this heartwarming and wonderful comment. Absolutely agree with your take on desicion space and context. That is exactly what we reached for, and we were quite happy when after several iterations everything started to click together. Also I'm quite glad that one can play in very different ways and that even if there is always an optimal choice at any point of the context space, any other is still fine if well executed. Your incredible score show how well you understood everything, good job!

@sarah Thank you for the comment! It was so nice to see you play on stream 💖

@jlv Thanks a lot for this detailed comment! Not sure I understand what you mean about sound, the game has music and SFX! If you mean that it would have been great to have some made by us instead of free sound found on the internet, I agree, it would be even better to work with a sound designer on a future jam!

@peachtreeoath Thank you so much for the nice comment! You are right, we wanted to make it so that most choices were fine but some were better, but this can lead to make it hard to understand the value of choice at first sight. If you want a really hardcore challenge, try to beat this insane score a friend made after several hours of try harding:

Highrail to hell by BadPiggy 2022-04-05T19:56:27Z

Nice short game!

The art style is absolutely amazing, along with all those nice feedbacks and screenshakes. Really strong stuff you got there. The mix of action / puzzle was a nice idea, would have love to have one or two more rooms! The buffer (or lack of) on input felt a bit weird to me.

Thanks for the game I had fun!

The Inevitable Dominion by Kupnu4 2022-04-18T14:36:06Z

Really cute game!

I love the super simple gameplay, the very nice art and the nice visual and audio feedback everywhere!

I think there is a problem with the highscore, it seems to show you last score and not your best one?

Thanks for the game I had fun 🏰

Hero's Last Quest by Caym 2022-04-05T20:11:06Z

The mood is fantastic. The idea of wanting to stay just a little longer in a world you had an adventure in is so relatable! And the world you created there is beautiful, with a perfect choice of music to top it.

I had a lot of trouble getting the hang of fishing though. Also those intros and outros were weeeeird haha!

Thanks for the game, I actually wanted to stay in it just because it was beautiful!

Cyber Skater by Syafire 2022-04-15T15:06:37Z

Nice game!

The movement and shooting feels great, the art is clear and the audio and visual feedback work great! The progression kept me engaged despite the low diversity of enemies. I couldn't see my money when I was shopping, I don't know if this was specific to my screen resolution? Also the hook was a great idea but I was too bad to control it properly haha.

Thanks for the game ✨

Last Day of Serenity Orbital Station by Glayson 2022-04-15T14:55:14Z

Super cool compo game!

The mood is fantastic, with great art and great music. The rail shooter feels quite cinematic, which makes it both really cool to watch but sometimes a bit frustrating to control.

Great job and thanks for the game ✨

NAP GUARDIAN by nethead 2022-04-19T12:41:48Z

Wow, such a cool game!

The pixel art is incredible, the controls are smooth (even if as other said I'm not a big fan of the dash, I used it only for jumping), the tutorial is insanely good for a jam game, the feedback are all very clear.

I loved that just at the moment I thought "ok now I'm overpowered I hope it doesn't get boring", they awoke and the game was over ✨ Great timing.

Thanks for the game I had fun!

No Match by Peche et Tradition 1867 2022-04-07T16:33:02Z

Very very good game!

The design is so simple, and the only real thing one could say against it is "Wait I am actually sure to lose if the deck contains a finite number of cards", which hits the theme so perfectly.

Great job on the art, the UI design, the rythm, the animations, all the polish in general. The game even ran perfectly on a 21:9 screen in fullscreen mode!

Thanks for the game I had a good time, and great job!

WHEN NANA SAYS IT'S TIME FOR SCHOOL by alyd asmar 2022-04-21T07:15:58Z

That was soooo cool ✨

I don't know how you came up with so many great idea, I never played anything like this. That was awesome.

I needed a lot of energy at first to understand the rules, read all the text and make a few mistakes. But once everything clicked together in my brain, what a ride! I was immersed from start to finish, reorganizing my barricade frantically while playing xylophone to unimpressed pigeons with my super cool hoodie on.

Thanks for the game and huge congrats 🧙🪄

RIG WRECKENING by WhyNot 2022-04-16T21:51:49Z

Super cool game!

I loved the mix of low poly, pixel textures and bright colors along with fun 8 bit like sound effects. The controls feel great even if mouse look sensitivity is crazy (at setting 1). I love the fact that you can walljump or even stall jump on the helicopter haha.

I had a good time, thanks for the game 🚁

The Railroad to Elsewhere by Save Sloth Studios 2022-04-05T19:37:41Z

Thanks for the game I had a good time.

Road Rage Mage by Pious 2022-04-07T20:35:11Z

Woooow those graphics are definitely the best I've seen this jam.

Cute pixel art, clean lightning and effects, nice animations, plus sound that goes well with it? I'm definitely saving this for future inspiration. The gameplay is nice, maybe a bit too complex at first sight but ok once you grasp the basics of damage > speed > shield > damage and strong red or green > basic blue.

Thanks for the game I had fun ❤️‍🔥

PopCat Hoover Disaster by OrangeDragon 2022-04-18T17:11:03Z

Fun game! The concept is really fun, the art looks great and is easy to read.

Making good platforming controls is very hard, and this is close to it even if it lacks small polish like coyote jump or a buffer.

Thanks for the game I had fun 😼

Gods of Divine Stuff: RAgnarök by Anaxie Studio 2022-04-07T19:25:18Z

Nice game! Great job on mixing tower defense and visual novel, I got attached to my towers! The game plays well, even if some tower defense sections could indeed benefit from better balancing or more interesting paths.

Well done!

Say Something by Andreia 2022-04-19T20:32:06Z

Nice game!

I like your interpretation of the theme, it's quite close to ours in some way ❤️‍🔥

The platforming controls work fine and the balance between trying to get clouds and time is good. The art is very good. It felt a bit dark/sad, was it on purpose?

Thanks for the game, I had fun!

FYI I had issues on the start menu of the web version on chrome and had to zoom my window for it to display properly. In the game everything was fine.

Lumi and the Cloud Shepherd by Heremeus 2022-04-11T19:52:07Z

Nice game!

Simple, fun and responsive. Visuals and sounds are very clear. Gameplay is innovative and fun for a time, even if it gets repetitive quite fast.

Awesome job for compo!

RIITA by wobs 2022-04-20T12:14:26Z

Incredible jam game!

The art (in the intro, the village, the music scenes, the UI) is very very good, polished and gives a great vibe. The music and sounds are very cool. I especially loved the feedback during gameplay, I know it's not that easy to make a comfortable rhythm game and you nailed it.

I was a bit disappointed the tracks were so short, I understand it goes better with the narrative structure of the game and it might also be due to jam constraints, but still the game feel was so good I would have loved longer songs!

Great job all around, you girls and guys can be very proud of what you made ✨

D-Lay Guetta Party Hard by Turtle Games 2022-04-05T19:48:36Z

Cool game! I had a lot of fun hitting everyone to make my way through. All the color on screen made it sometimes hard to see where I was or what was broken but I guess that's part of the challenge! Thanks for the game :)

Giraffe o'Clock by Kepsert 2022-04-15T15:40:06Z

Nice game!

The idea is very cool, and the platforming controls feel nice, with coyote jump, buffer, and this special giraffe neck mechanic, very smart and well done! The level design is most often quite good. The pixel art is awesome with a great color palette, but I would personally love it even more if it were pixel perfect. The dialogues were way too long for my personal taste and not really my kind of humor, but it was great that you could just skip through them without losing any important info.

Thanks for the game and great job 🦒

The Final Day by Very Bad Bunny Studio 2022-04-18T10:34:35Z

Awesome compo game on many aspect, great job! I had a lot of fun ✨

The random sometime felt a bit weird, like when I faced 4 enemies with 0HP in a row.

The Fire Will Die by PolymathLD 2022-04-18T07:26:06Z

Very very good game, one of my favorite I played so far!

The gameplay is just diverse enough to make it interesting without being to complicated. The clear objectives, the narrative elements and the structure of the game make it way better than other games where you just have to keep a fire burning. Everything goes well together in this game.

Great job and thanks for the game!

BOX IN OX by Jonah_SRG 2022-04-04T22:33:31Z

Great game!

The gameplay is innovative and pushes you to make fast and interesting decisions. My first game was a bit random but the second one was really fun. Art is simple and readable, sounds too.

Thanks for the game I had fun 💌

The March to heaven by damakuno 2022-04-16T19:48:30Z

This was really really good, thank you so much for making this 💖 I absolutely love the art, and I didn't expect the dialogs to be so well written and to almost make me cry at the end. Thank you and great job!

Carrot Grove by Ehon 2022-04-10T17:12:23Z

Yay, a Renpy game!

The art is beautiful, the text is well written and the enigma is a nice idea. I just found it maybe a bit too long and complex for a jam game. Great idea to give tips for the good ending on the itch page since it's not that easy to get it!

Thanks for the game I had fun.

Wait For It ! by Forgin Bits 2022-04-19T19:54:42Z

Insane compo game! How could you do all that in two days?

Great job on everything, the game is fun, beautiful, easy to play, it seems like you balanced your work very well even if you put so much in every aspect of the game!

Awesome job ✨

Tap to Snooze by Jul._.li 2022-04-09T20:26:48Z

Very good game!

Menus are smooth, the game looks great, and gameplay couldn't be more intuitive. Theme is also spot on. Maybe the bonus to time could be granted right at the end of a puzzle instead of after the fade out?

Thanks for the game and great job ✨

Flowers Photos & Pills by KatAsunder 2022-04-09T10:13:05Z

Beautiful short game 💕

The mood is clearly there, helped by very nice art, music and sfx. The gameplay is simple and intuitive, and the ending is nice. I was worried it would be all sad and dark but it's not, and I loved it.

The photos always seem to be weirdly framed (down left of what I was snapping).

Thanks for this game I had a nice time!

Hole by OlgaVek 2022-04-18T17:27:36Z

Super fun game! Well job coordinating so many people for a game jam and keeping the result simple ✨

Thanks for the game I had fun!

God's Rage by LiveInside 2022-04-10T13:53:10Z

Nice job!

The pixel art is solid, with a coherent color palette, detailed sprites and clear platforms. The movement feels fine, with a lot of air time and control. I felt a bit frustrated at some moments where you cannot see the platform you are aiming for while jumping because it's a bit too far down (even the first jump is like that). Maybe lowering the camera a bit could help?

Thanks for the game!

The Gallows by Burn Tree 2022-04-07T19:57:42Z

Thanks for this game 💕

Ludum Dare is full of action packed game, and it feels great to play something calmer and full of emotions like yours sometimes. I loved the visuals and beautiful animations. The story is simple yet full of beautiful small details, and the writing incorporated into the level is a very very good idea.

DisasterGuard by Jroo 2022-04-18T14:28:28Z

Wow that's a lot of programmers! Great job making something that works with so many people on board.

The gameplay works well, and there are a lot of great systems ideas. Good choice of assets too. I was a bit overwhelmed by all the elements at first but it was a bit better during my second and third attempt.

Thanks for the game!

Corgi, Protecc! by JuulH 2022-04-07T20:13:23Z

I had a good laugh!

Game feels great, controls are intuitive, movement feels good. The upgrade system with increasing repair cost is smart, as is the fact that some enemies go for the dog and some for the house. Vision perimeter feels small, so I mostly had my eyes on the mini map, which is a bit sad considering the beautiful art you created haha.

Thanks for the game ❤️‍🔥

Out of Controls? by Bumble 2022-04-18T17:19:15Z

Very cool idea and well implemented! It's very fun to try to remap everything in a hurry when you get hit. I would have loved a bit more event that force you to remapping from time to time without feeling like it's the end.

Thanks for the game I had fun 🚀

Morituri by omgitsleana 2022-04-15T13:06:48Z

That was a very very good narrative jam game!

The graphics are simple and work fine, the sound is well done too. The text are well written and not too long, and the rhythm of emotions during the story is very well put together. Not having choices was actually not a problem for me, I liked it.

Good job on your first game jam!

Orange Mécanique by Pommthur 2022-04-09T10:28:42Z

Excellent, bravo!

Lights Out by Dan Livings 2022-04-15T14:48:47Z

As many other already said, the idea and minimalism here are very good. The mood it creates is quite pleasant even if a bit sad. It definitely would need something to make it more a game than a weird interactive experience, but if that's the later you were aiming for you did a very good job!

Dr. Jan Itor by VorpalSnark 2022-04-09T09:16:12Z

Nice job!

The mix of trying to clean behind people and get the hearts of the deads forces you to always have an eye on everything that is happening, it's good!

It didn't always felt very clear on why I got fired, I think a clearer explanation on the end screen could be great.

LD51 — Every 10 seconds

CRAVE by AkirAssasin 2022-10-04T21:25:50Z

Nice game!

It was a bit hard to understand everything at first but once you get it it's fun! I like the hunger mechanic, it forces you to swap powers so you never stay with the same. I liked how clear the enemies health bar were with both color and visual threshold indication of when they can be eaten.

The map may be a bit too big? I was lost really fast, and with no goals or waypoint I didn't really know what way to explore. Great diversity of "animals" though, that's great!

Thanks for the game, I had fun 👏

The Turgenev Study by benjamin 2022-10-18T12:08:24Z

Yaay, another awesome game by Puncake!

As always, your game is super polished and fun to play. I love how everything connects together very nicely.

The assimilation mechanic for upgrade is smart, it changes from classic roguelite / vampire survivor games where you have to chose between 2-3 upgrades on a static screen when you level up.

Great job, that's quite a perfect jam entry ✨

The Blood Tree by strong99 2022-10-06T21:32:11Z

Very good looking game, that's impressive for a compo game! I had a lot of trouble to begin with, then I started to understand most of it and it was fun! It's cool to expand, to try to catch people when other are fare enough, and to survive when it gets caothic. Great job!

Decaedia by arzi 2022-10-16T16:43:31Z

What a beautiful game!

The art is even nicer than your previous games, and that's quite something! And with soo much content, that's very impressive.

Having a mix of exploration and turn based combat is fun. The exploration feels good. The combat was a bit messy to me. I had trouble with understanding the position of things, and the dice roll mechanic felt a bit unintuitive and unimportant.

Impressive jam game nonetheless, good job!

Gelato Drift by thomz12 2022-10-04T14:52:51Z

Nice game!

The crazy taxi concept is simple and well executed, I liked how the difficulty ramp up! The scoring system is cool. Driving felt mostly good, except when you get stuck on corners.

The menus are gorgeous and the fake 3D truck is really clean.

Thanks for the game, I had fun 🍧🚚

An Average Day At The Cat Cafe by alexrose 2022-10-15T17:47:24Z

What a cute game 💖

The art is sooo lovely, the music and sound design work really well.

In the beginning, everything felt hardcore haha. A lot of information to take in, and long recipes to read. I messed up everything! Once you know all the recipes, it starts to feel good! Being able to do everything smoothly with only the keyboard and no mouse is nice. Also, the movement system is really really great, it's very intuitive and is perfect for this kind of game.

I'll go take a look at the post jam version now, thanks for the game ✨

Impending Doom of a Thousand Kitties by RalfZ 2022-10-11T07:59:35Z

Cute game!

The art style is great, and the simple idea works fine.

I would have liked a bit more feedback, like something telling me which cat my cursor was currently targeting for exemple, and maybe something indicating more precisely how close I was to losing. Also, the food icon replacing basic cursor when hovering a cat was a bit buggy. I didn't find the hand tool very useful. I guess it's meant to push cats that are in front of another cat? It's often easier to target the pixels that still shows. Maybe finding another simple mechanic to force a bit more swaps between those two tools would be cool.

Great job and thanks for the game, I had a nice time!

Just Roll With It! by Cornflowerblue 2022-10-17T10:20:59Z

I am absolutely amazed by how good looking this is for a jam game. The visual polish is incredible, those animations and poses are soooo cool ✨

As other said, it's a bit sad that the game is so difficult. I couldn't even get the last gem of the tutorial haha, and managed to get only something like 20 gems out of each levels after some tries. The core concept of gaining speed every 10 seconds is a fun idea, it makes you think about the best trajectory.

Great job!

Sweet Nightmare by almost 2022-10-06T21:42:54Z

Nice game! The idea of changing controls is well executed, the clear indication of when it's going to change next helps a lot! It's very cool that enemies also change how they move / attack, it adds even more variety.

Level designed felt a bit chaotic sometimes, and maybe some parts of it were less adapted to some controls scheme (snake often felt cramped)

Thanks again for submitting it on stream, I had fun playing it ✨

Tiny Jukebox by bobo_oh 2022-10-04T17:06:20Z

That's awesome! I love rhythm games, and this is such a perfect way to adapt the theme and make in fun for short sessions! Congrats on all those tunes you did, a lot of them sound really good.

Thanks a lot for the game I had a lot of fun. Didn't manage to beat all songs yet, I'll definitely come back to it 🎵

Game Name by Strega 2022-10-04T21:42:22Z

That was sooo cool.

The idea fits the theme perfectly. I saw the same kind of game now and then at ludum dares, but it fits this theme better than ever and your execution is impressive.

The art is good, the music is good, the diversity of fun simple intuitive gameplay is insane!

I loved the Relax mini game, and I loved that your schedule included a lot of sleep, eating and relaxing.

Thanks for this game, I had a lot of fun 💕✨

Space Lord X by CrociDB 2022-10-06T16:28:27Z

Nice little game!

I liked the art, the particle effects, the concept and the fact you can easily play on mobile. It seems to me like the best strategy was just to stay in the same place and spam projectiles, and just avoid stuff when it could hit you, which happens very very rarely even on later levels. Maybe having a bit more missiles could be cool?

Thanks for the game ✨

The Curse of Tencond by Harry Alissavakis 2022-10-04T16:20:12Z

Insane compo game, great job 👏

The minit vibe is perfect, and I love that you decided to base everything on knowledge and not items. Art is splendid, I'am amazed you managed to do that solo in such a short time.

As many others, I had problems finding the Home key. For my part, it's because on a french keyboard the name is totally different (Début, which means Start, nothing to do with Home).

I had a lot of fun anyway, thanks for the game and good job 🌲

Ethereal Exchange by Mathstr0fficial 2022-10-17T19:57:41Z

Nice game!

The concept is fun, and the abilities are well designed to make it work properly. It felt a bit slow sometimes, maybe swapping more often could be nice for a post jam version.

Great job on this!

HALL OF GAMES by spudboy 2022-10-16T09:45:08Z

Nice Wario Ware like!

It's already hard to make one game, so congrats on making four! They all feel very intuitive and work well, great job.

Of course, it would be great if as with Wario Ware, some things changed on top of the speed going faster, but it's already pretty cool as is!

Thanks for the game I had fun ✨

(I'm not as good as other haha I only made it to 31 after a few tries)

Under Pressure by Teanan 2022-10-21T13:59:18Z

Nice game!

My first attempt was a mess haha, but the second one went way better. The number of things that can happen is great, the controls are not really intuitive but almost. The graphics look really good (even if it often froze on the HTML version).

I really like the idea of phone calls, it would have been really great if there was some sort of progressing story.

Great job on this!

Beardadette and the Eternal Hiccup by Honest Dan 2022-10-16T11:00:36Z

Nice game!

The art and sound design are gorgeous.

The hiccup mechanic is funny, but quite hard to use properly when you need it for big jumps. I'm not sure I understood the last puzzles but I got to the end anyway haha.

Great job and thanks for the game, I had fun ✨

Meteor Racing by Andreadbx 2022-10-05T17:16:12Z

Nice game!

I really liked the art. The car looks nice, the track looks nice, and the fog gives a cool mood, plus the change of colors when meteors come in make it looks even cooler. The menu and UI look professional. Controls felt fine, and the track was simple but interesting. (I couldn't play with controller though, had to use my keyboard)

Meteors felt too easy to avoid, like they always landed behind me anyway. I would love to play more if meteors were less random or forced me to avoid them!

Thanks for the game I had a good time!

FLV-51 by landosilva 2022-10-06T21:40:15Z

Very good game!

I know it's quite hard to do a platformer that feels good in a jam, and this one does! Really nice job on tying together quick platforming, metroidvania and "past you can push buttons" together.

Visuals and audio are very nice.

Only thing that felt a bit weird to me was the camera: since your level goes up and down, you decided to center the camera vertically, but with such a high jump and vertical gameplay, it felt a bit cramped at times.

Very very good game overall, great job ✨

Gastronauts by MateusBoga 2022-10-15T19:07:23Z

nice game!

The concept is intuitive and fun, I like the risk reward of trying to get as much as you can before coming back. Trying to figure out what each ingredient makes by making weird recipes was fun too, even if I'm not sure I understood everything in the end haha. Also it took me a bit of time to understand that you could sell stuff at the shop!

Thanks for the game and great job!

Lava Crossing by GibsS 2022-10-05T21:17:09Z

very cool game! It looks really good and the vehicle is fun to control. Putting some chill lofi on such a demanding gameplay is a very good idea, I loved it ✨

Thanks for the game and great job!

Get All the Orbs by Suchista 2022-10-16T10:00:17Z

Nice game!

Controls feel nice and intuitive. The art is simple but at least everything is clear. I liked the shooting knockback, it makes it that you cannot just go straight and shoot everything in front of you. I also liked that there was an ending to the game, at some point I was afraid the game would be infinite.

Maybe a bit diversity on enemies or a difficulty increase at some point could add a lot to the game.

Great job and thanks for the game!

Prince Defense by jondkoon 2022-10-21T21:27:23Z

Really nice! Simple tower defense with an added button for attack works nicely.

The difficulty curve is a bit off, really hard at the beginning then impossible to lose, but it's fine for a jam game!

Great job and thanks for the game, I had fun 💖

Carton Carrier by dimlight 2022-10-14T10:34:46Z

Super fun and cute game!

The mechanic is super smart and fun, the art is gorgeous, the sound design works nice. I especially liked the randomness during the building phase, it couples well with the timer tension. As other said, 10 seconds mights be a bit short though?

Why is it not in the Extra category though if there is no version done in 72h? Is it not possible to move a jam game to Extra? I am sorry, but I cannot rate it as if it was a jam game!

Thanks for the game anyway and great job on this ✨

The decasecond by Shakedimus 2022-10-06T21:20:08Z

Cool small text based game. There are a lot of funny sentences in there haha! I guess UI could be reworked to look better, but it works as is!

Switchy Glitchy Arcade by Thomas_Bringer 2022-10-21T14:13:18Z

Wow what a great compo game!

I love the art and visual effects. As other said, it may be a bit too difficult or unfair sometimes (for me it was especialy true on the flappy bird one) but other than that it was really great!

Good job and thanks for the game, I had fun!

RETROFUTURECATS : Admeownistrators of Hell by Julien Darras 2022-10-07T14:17:14Z

Nice looking game! I really dig your art style.

However, it was quite unplayable on my side: - It ran at non stable 20FPS on a GTX 1070 (screen size 3440x1440) - The navmesh had a problem, enemies were not moving and just stayed by their spawn points - I did not really understand what were supposed to be the objectives ? I saw that I could press E in fronts of outlined objects and that would give me charge, was that it?

I tried updating my drivers, even rebooted my PC but all issues were still present 🥲

Great job anyway, it's really hard to make a FPS work, and at least movement and shooting are there and work fine ✨

Frogwatch by Gunnbju 2022-10-04T12:56:57Z

Nice game!

I like the art and the idea. The prompt for the E button and the movement tutorial were really great. I would have liked to have one for the dash too, I didn't read the description so I didn't get it at first haha. The sound design works well. Also the intro is really cute!

Maybe the world could have been smaller or movement faster so that you are more focused on what is on screen rather than the arrow on the edges.

Well done, this is a very cute game 🐸

Oroboros by Black Potion 2022-10-18T10:33:39Z

Great job!

It's impressive how many things you managed to do in such a short time. I love low-poly RPGS, it's cool to see one here.

Of course, the game could be polished in a lot of ways, here are some things that felt like priorities to me: - Put attack and using items on different buttons instead of having to select from a menu and then click. - Grabbing apples was a pain, it would be cool if it was a bit easier. Maybe even just by walking over them? - It was easy to understand when I hit wolves, but not so much when they hit me. - Lighting felt weird, I couldn't see anything in dark areas. - The world was way too big and easy to get lost in. It doesn't go very well with the time limit mechanic.

I saw you are planning to push the game further, so I hope this helps!

Good luck and thanks for the game ✨

Armillario by Ingo_holle 2022-10-10T09:19:59Z

This is fantastic!

The visuals looks sooo good, the sound design is absolutely great, and it felt like the right amount of cryptic but understandable. I made it to 6.3 on my first try and 8.7 on my second!

The only little thing that I guess could be improved is that sometimes black node are hidden behind already colored ones and are impossible to click on. That doesn't happen very often though.

Great job and thanks for the game!

Getting Farted On by kuviman 2022-10-16T16:23:25Z

Nice game!

I liked the "Getting over it" vibe with the really hard difficulty and hard to master but fair controls. Only thing I would have liked is an indicator of when my bonus fart is ready. Maybe there is one I didn't see?

Awesome job on adding multiplayer, it was fun to play it with a streamer, and that's quite insane for a compo game!

The humor is absolutely not for me, but that's fine.

Great job and thanks for the game!

The door and the cap by vkaike2 2022-10-11T19:16:28Z

Cool game! Controls are nice, pixel art is great and the super fast level is really fun to play! Last level is especially cool.

There are some visual bugs now and there, and I would have liked it better if the dash canceled your vertical momentum, but the game is already very good for a jam game!

Good job and thanks, I had fun!

Reboot by Astrydax 2022-10-06T18:01:10Z

Really great game!

The concept of resetting every X seconds and getting help from your past self is taken to its best here! It's simple, smart, fun, and the puzzle aspect is very well done.

I also love that you put some difficulty levels, I guess you saw in playtests that 10s made it too difficult or prevented you to do a cool level design, and this is a very smart solution.

Great job and thanks for the game ✨

Jam Session by Guardaro 2022-10-15T18:54:22Z

Awesome game!

I really enjoyed the music, it's very nice that you made it synchronized with the 10 sec timer. The concept is super fun, the crazy vampire survivor / roguelite upgrade system works well with the timer mechanic.

I felt like the aiming was a bit punitive, it often feel like you'll lose if you miss just a shot. The game makes you want to retry though!

Thanks for the game and great job 🎵

Ticktock Tactics by Cral 2022-10-06T21:09:09Z

Absolutely impressive games in terms of graphics and polish! I love all the little details, the animation, the smoothness and snapiness of the controls. It's quite hard to make a game like this feel intuitive, and you did it very well. The mechanic of "time resource" is extremely well implemented too.

I guess the only thing I would have liked is a bit more challenge, it's nice that the first levels are easy but then the difficulty is really slow to ramp up.

Thanks for the game and great job!

Thornscatter by KeithSwanger 2022-10-15T16:28:48Z

Nice game!

I really liked the mood the gameplay, art and music set: I felt a mix of tension, loneliness and calm. The game pushes you to go fast but to weigh every slash you make. It creates a lot of interesting short term decision making.

If I had one suggestion, it would be to replace the mini map by some sort of indicator that is closer to the center of the screen (as an arrow pointing in the direction of the water / the center), so that you don't have to juggle between what you are looking at.

Really great job on this, and thanks for the game 🌹

Slow Mo Samurai by Rawb 2022-10-04T12:41:47Z

Very good game!

The visuals and audio are beautiful, readable and clear. I love how everything is super intuitive. Level design is clean and offers several paths. A lot of polish everywhere, I love the slow mo + zoom at the end of every level for exemple!

Maybe more contrast on enemy projectiles would have helped a bit. I made the mistake to go back to menu at something like level 12 oh noooo ☠️

Thanks for the game I had fun, very strong entry ⚔️

Escape The Ice by Dannyk1994 2022-10-16T15:05:50Z

Managed to get up to 280 after a few tries!

Nice job for only 4 hours, that's impressive. The controls changes are fun, the randomness on the ice getting pushed back not so much. Also I played on a Azerty keyb and that was even more confusing haha.

Didn't experience any bug!

Homerun for your life! by ChevalBancal 2022-10-04T09:33:37Z

Very funny game!

The art, mood and humor are really great. I like the double screen design, it's funny to switch between reading stupid lines and looking out for the next asteroïd 🤖🏏☄️

Small bug: I had no sound on my second try!

Thank you so much everyone 💕🐼✨ You built a lot of statues together, Poda is really happy now. I am slowly going though all games from people who left a comment here, it will take me some time but I'll go and play each of them!

@entropea Thanks a lot, and thank you for the share on Twitter 🐦

@makar-ss Cutest comment I've ever seen (thanks) 🐰

@bangkerpow @tam @yogurtthehorse @kavehes @sean-esopenko @phillip-scott Thank you! I agree with you, clicking on resources or bunnies near the end of the game is a bit of a hassle, we'll try to think of some way to avoid this if we do a future version! Cleaner bunnies, magnet or vacuum for resources all seem like good ideas, thanks!

@thatzniko YOU ARE AMAZING 🗿

@gibss Thanks for the comment! I think I see what you mean, like the Panda mechanic can feel like it was put on top of it? I can agree, yet it's funny because it was actually the opposite when we designed the game. Our conversation with Blibloop went something like: Blibloop: "Ok picture this, there is a big panda, and he's chilling, and then he gets angry every ten seconds or something" Me: "Ok cool, but what's the game?" Blibloop: "..." And then we went through several ideas before setting to a tiny management / god game! (also 117 is a very impressive score, my best was 120 before today)

Poda Wants a Statue by Doot 2022-10-05T19:26:40Z

@joe-bevis Thanks a lot for the lovely comment! As game engine, we used Unity (with no specific plugin except TMPRO). Art is done on Procreate and Photoshop, and for the musics and sounds I'll have to ask @Zakku!

@okshirl Thank you so much! Panda defo needs to chill, and maybe Blibloop (@dodidouda) too, because she's too talented 💖

@fae-pdf yaay I'm always happy to see your analysis of our games. It's so cool to see you point out every little details or design decision we took. This time especially, since I was a bit scared to do a "management" kind of game. It felt so hard to make it understandable. But with a lot of playtests and around half the jam spent on polish and reworks, I'm really proud of what we managed to do! Thank you once more for taking the time to play our game and write this lovely analysis 💕🐰

@teddyreid Thank you! That's an interesting idea, we'll keep it in mind if we do a future version!

@ingo-holle Thank you so much! Blibloop (@dodidouda) is indeed very talented, and needs to hear it haha ✨ I agree with you, it needs a bit of balancing or design to make it a bit less disrupting near when you have a lot of bunnies.

Poda Wants a Statue by Doot 2022-10-05T19:27:00Z

@waterfowler Thanks a lot! Making more varied event for a future release would indeed be a very good idea, it was clearly out of scope here but would indeed add a lot to the game!

@hoffi309 Thanks! Thats an impressive score 👀

@lawrence Thanks a lot that's a lovely comment 💖

@heremeus Thanks a lot! Blibloop (@dodidouda) is indeed very impressive (and funny too)!

@karen-shum Thank you so much ✨ We'll try to add more upgrades or variation if we do a future release!

Poda Wants a Statue by Doot 2022-10-05T19:27:23Z

@artofluba Hey there! Blibloop (@dodidouda) is indeed the incredible artist you know 👀 I'm lucky to be able to work with her! Very cool to know it works well on iPad.

@misterstripey Thanks a lot! it was absolutely lovely to see you play it and comment it on stream 💕

@saltysa Thanks for the nice comment! We are right, we need to balance it bettre when there are a lot of bunnies if we do a future version!

@johanhelsing Thanks a lot! I am very happy to see you mention Frogloop 🐸

@pychewing Thank you! Nice catch, overlapping bunnies can have the wrong layer order, I'll fix this in a post jam version. Thanks for pointing that out 👀

Poda Wants a Statue by Doot 2022-10-05T19:28:29Z

@lomby Thanks! That's a very impressive score ✨ Your strat is indeed the best one at the beginning of the game, we saw it was possible and decided to leave it for people looking to optimise everything. I agree that resources are hard to gather at the end of the game, we'll try to find a solution for that if we do a future release!

@fiat-ventus Thanks for the comment! I'm sorry to hear about the issue, it didn't happen on our devices. What browser and screen size do you have?

@peachtreeoath Thanks a lot for the detailed comment. It's really nice to see people enjoy and understand all the little decisions you made, and your way of anylising them and explaining them makes it very clear and satysfying. Thank you again 💕

@clonze I think you are! My personal best is exactly the same 👏

@tyrannas Thank you so much! I admit I am a bit jealous of Blibloop (@dodidouda) too, she's really talented 💖

Poda Wants a Statue by Doot 2022-10-13T20:41:02Z

Thank you so much everyone 💕🐼✨ We are really happy with the popularity of the game here and on itch.io! It's so cool to see people appreciate what we have been able to make for this jam, especially since it was quite different and a bit harder to do that games we did in the past. I hope I'll find the time to play all of your games before rating period ends!

@clonze Woow great job sub 100 is incredible ✨

@legolula Thanks a lot for the nice comment! I agree with you, we are thinking about a solution to the pain of gathering resources one by one in end game, we'll include it in a post jam update someday!

@jmad Thanks a lot! That's an impressive score 👀

@interface Thanks for the nice comment and the improvement suggestion! We'll take it into account if we do a post-jam version!

@urggann It's so nice that you could play it with your son 💌 Thanks a lot for the comment.

Poda Wants a Statue by Doot 2022-10-13T20:41:50Z

@alks Thank you so much for your kind comment it means a lot to us 💖

@cosmonautical That's indeed the best strat! We know only of two players that managed to get a sub 100 as of now, it's really really hard!

@shakedimus Thanks a lot for the detailed comment, it's really helpful! We agree with late game slams being a bit too much since you just cannot reassign everything, and thank you for pointing out what took you some time to understand! Making everything as intuitive as possible is always one of our goals, so we'll work on that if we do a post-jam version. Thanks again ✨

@someone Thanks for the detailed comment, it's nice to know what can be improved! I'll check your statue building game 🗿

@almost Thanks for the detailed feedback! I agree with you, we'll work on something to make late game poda less annoying if we do a post-jam vesion 🐼

Poda Wants a Statue by Doot 2022-10-13T20:41:56Z

@nyxkn Thanks a lot for the detailed comment, it helps ✨ We'll try to think of something to make late game a bit less tedious if we make a post jam version. Thanks again!

@ruruie haha yes I hope so too 🐇

@nash Thanks a lot for the detailed comment! having only to click on resources instead of dragging them is a very good idea that we didn't even think about, so thanks a lot for that 💕

@kalendhos Thanks a lot for the comment! I agree with you, well have to think of something to make late game a bit less tedious. Your score is really great, great job 👀

@unitedfailures Thanks a lot! Your score is already really good, great job ✨

Poda Wants a Statue by Doot 2022-10-20T19:13:26Z

Woow another batch of comments, thank you so much 💕🐼✨ I've played a lot of games from people who commented there and there are so many good ones! It's impressive how many talented people take part in LD each time.

@benjamin @eager @kleinzach @runicpixels @asfdfdfd Thank you for the nice comment, each one means a lot to us 💖

Poda Wants a Statue by Doot 2022-10-20T19:13:36Z

@jag Thank you so much, you are so nice! Also thanks for pointing that out, it's true that sometimes people don't realize there is an unstashed item because they use the same sprite. We'll take that into account if we do a post-jam version!

@lepoulet Thank you so much, it means a lot coming from someone who made such a great game 💕 Not sure our bunnies are the same as yours though, considering your ending I guess they would have broken free of Poda's tyranny very quickly 🗡️

@erkberg Thanks a lot! It was really nice to see you stream, and thanks again for the very detailed feedback along with each grade!

@fuzzybut woooaaaw what the frick how did you do that ✨ I'm still stuck to 100 myself. Thanks a lot for the very nice comment and congrats, I don't know anyone who beat that yet.

@mateusboga Thanks a lot for playing it on stream, it was really cool to see you play ✨👀

Poda Wants a Statue by Doot 2022-10-20T19:13:42Z

@chris1919 Thank you so much for the nice and detailed comment! I agree, the game is tiring on a mouse, sorry for that! We even hesitated of keeping the high score incentive just so people don't hurt their wrist but I'm finally glad we kept it. I agree, the resources should scatter around in a better way. Currently it's just random, but I could send them in a perpendicular direction of the current bunny path! We'll try to think of solutions! Thanks again 🪚🐰

@delpod thanks a lot, it's very nice to know that you enjoyed both way of playing the game since it was one of our design intentions!

@dannyk1994 Yaay thank you Dannyk, it was really fun to see you play and get into the game on stream!

@studiokraze I just watched the VOD, your comments were so nice thank you! Art is so slick indeed, @dodidouda did amazing work as always 💖 To answer some of your questions: We did other jam games only, but we never did full games (mobile or not) yet! I personally work on Blooming Business: Casino as a GPP, Blibloop (@dodidouda) is an independent artist and @zakku is currently working as QA in a small studio and as an independent sound designer! Also yes, we did all of that in three days, we started at around 9am on saturday with nothing reused (except some copy paste code for stuff like screenshake and audio management). Thanks again for the nice comments on your stream it was really nice to watch.

Field O' Fiends by Baconeta 2022-10-16T07:31:58Z

Nice little game 🌿

The art is cute and quite clear, the idea of having a mix of stress and time to rest is cool, and it's nice that you can play on mobile!

I felt like the game could benefit of being a bit more nervous. Maybe faster movement, or a smaller arena. It's sometimes a bit long to go all around the place because some enemy is hiding in a corner! Also, a bit more feedback when hitting enemies would be nice. There is sound, but you could still add a lot: small shake, hit stun, simple animation or color change!

Great job and thanks for the game!

Babbage's Cabbages by BangKerpow 2022-10-04T15:13:56Z

Nice game!

The mechanic is well done and quite intuitive. Some parts of the level are well designed, it's interesting to try to remember, time and execute your movement well. I also liked the scope of the game.

Movement and controls could have been a bit snappier, but I know how harder it is to make a platformer feel nice, so this is already really impressive for a jam game.

Great job and thanks for the game 🥬

Thwack by Jon Topielski 2022-10-17T15:01:54Z

What a cool game ✨

Presentation is super cute, snappy and very satisfying. The gameplay is kept simple and very polished, it's fun to play! The three levels of difficulty felt well balanced to me, it took me a few tries to beat the last one.

The "game speeds up every ten seconds" didn't feel right to me: - it doesn't speed up enough to be noticeable. - Most trades don't even last 10 seconds.

I guess a more dramatic change, or making the speed boost stay for the rest of the game and not only the current trade could easily fix that if you plan to make a post-jam version? Or maybe just remove that, the game already feels complete without it.

I had a lot of fun, thanks for the game and great job 🎾

Corrupt Dungeon by Reyansh 2022-10-08T12:11:02Z

Cool idea, and nice mood set up by with the lights.

I think the collision detection works bad on the sword, like if the sword hitbox is already in the enemy hurtbox and you attack it does nothing, so have to do weird jiggles in front of them and sometimes it deals double or triple damage too.

OH! STUPID ENGINEER by ThatzNiko 2022-10-04T16:55:22Z

Very fun game and the art style is amazing. It's impressive how much content you have in there, with so many beautiful sprites and animations.

Difficulty curve could be reworked (a bit hard at first and becomes very easy with a few turrets and generators), but that's absolutely normal for a jam game!

Great job and thanks for the game 🔧

Count Down Dracula by Guilloteam 2022-10-04T21:39:03Z

I loved it!

It's absolutely gorgeous for a jam game. The 3D environments, the lights, the FX, the 2D characters, the UI, everything looks great and fit well with the other elements. And it plays well! Movement feels smooth, attacks are clear enough, and the dash to finish enemies is very satisfying. The time mechanic is elegant and well executed.

I would love to see a longer version someday!

Great job ✨

Alice In Ten Seconds by Golin 2022-10-08T13:05:52Z

Nice job!

I liked the progression of the game, the interpretation of the theme, and the visuals in both parts of the game!

Controls in the platformer section were kind of problematic, with the second jump feeling like it gave force and not speed, or not having coyote jump (or a very small one ?) or other 2D platformers tricks we are now used to. I know making a platformer feel good is extremely hard, so that's quite normal for a game jam, but then if the level design is difficult, like in the second 2D phase here, I feel like it can get frustrating really fast when controls are not tight.

Great job anyway, that's a very good game with a lot of content that you did here in only 3 days! It's impressive ✨

Grim Light by Forik 2022-10-04T21:18:43Z

Nice moody game 🍄

I liked the simplicity of it. Awesome job on the world, I really like the way it feels coherent yet diverse. The behavior of the lights feels nice. You get the feeling of getting lost in an eerie place while never actually getting lost.

Thanks for the game and great job!

Secret ingredient by Guzman 2022-10-16T10:09:22Z

The maze looks great, and the mood is nice, but is there anything to find in here? I spent around 5 minutes wandering around and didn't find anything.

Downpour by chris1919 2022-10-17T15:52:51Z

This is the best game I've played this Ludum Dare (and I've played more than 50!) ✨

It's beautiful on so many levels!

- The art is perfect, with a lot of polish on all those cute and super clear animations. - The UI works perfectly. - There are a lot of signs and feedback on everything. I love the particle effects announcing an incoming wind and making its direction clear. - The sound design complements all those signs and feedbacks very nicely. The jump sound is crisp enough without becoming annoying (and that's quite rare) - The platforming controls are well executed. - This "something happens every 10 seconds" comes with limits, but you found clever solutions to those. For exemple, the red fogs that pass time fast to wait less before wind jumps is a very elegant design.

5/5 on everything for me, good job and thanks for the game 🍓

Here are two details I think could be improved: - The black areas delimited by dots feel like they should be "Thunder free" zones. Yet one upward corridor in one of the first levels is black but you can get struck by thunder in it. - The "effect changes" like switching from wind to thunder could be feedbacked even stronger. I know there is a sound and an animation, but it's still quite easy to miss when you are playing.

A Quick Bunny Affair 🥕 by Vidu 2022-10-20T18:32:47Z

What a fantastic game!

I am totally impressed by the art, animations, UI and sound design. This is sooooo good, I love what you did here and will follow you to see some future work!

On the gameplay side, it's great too! The simple loop of going around as fast as you can is surprisingly engaging. You try to optimize your path, and it's nice that some action requires different number of input to be executed (one to water vs two to pick + plant). I had a bit of trouble understanding the lose condition at first, and sometimes it was not quite clear, what plant was considered to be in front of me, maybe a visual indicator could help.

Incredible job team, thanks for the game 💖🐇

WHO'S NEXT !? by Kmyho 2022-10-20T21:16:24Z

Nice game!

The concept is simple but very well executed. I liked the variety of "filters" that make it harder to find the right person. I would have loved a less violent version, but I guess that's also quite funny in a way.

Not sure I should rate Graphics, since it uses so many asset packs? Anyway, it does look good, you used those assets well. Same for audio, I don't really think you should be rated in this category since you didn't make the music.

Thanks for the game!

Justin Time by RoyalCookieX 2022-10-16T10:21:58Z

Nice game.

It was a bit hard to understand at first. Also, since the enemy have limited range, it's often easy to just camp outside of their range.

Thanks for the game!

Intomb by LittleBlackDog 2022-10-07T13:44:03Z

That's an impressive one!

The controls feel perfect, the implementation of the theme is nice, everything is very clear and the puzzles are well thought and just the right amount of them.

Very strong entry, great job and thanks for the game ✨

It's nice that you added hands and a dot in the middle of the screen to limit FPS induced nausea, but I still was a bit nauseous I admit. I had to limit the framerate so that the game didn't feel too choppy and it was a bit better then.

Impact-Effect by IdeasPerSecond 2022-10-19T08:38:49Z

Congrats, that is an incredible jam game!

Everything is kept simple but super consistent and elegent. There are a lot of nicely polished stuff here and there to make the game feel fair.

As other said, it gives good Luftrauser vibes, but with way simpler controls, so much more adapted to a jam game.

Here are two things that bothered me a bit: - I couldn't see my life bar in full screen mode with the webgl version (hidden behind windows bar). - I couldn't pause the game (to go back to full screen for exemple) - I didn't really understand the laser enemy, maybe due to lack of feedback when the laser hits you?

Anyway, that's minor, you did a really good job with this game, I had a lot of fun!

Decrypt by Gabriel Chan 2022-10-06T21:29:33Z

Even as a non native english speaker, this was really fun to play! The UI is very good looking, even the in game credits look really great haha. The drag and drop worked well, even if would have liked a bit more feedback when putting down a letter, like other letters moving / bouncing to their new position instead of instantly teleporting.

Great job and thanks for the game!

Slimebonker by Angrybeard 2022-10-10T08:46:43Z

Cute and fun game!

The 10 second shop refresh mechanic adds a lot to this kind of idle game! I liked the way everything was balanced, and how the difficulty bumps were not forced but had to be bought as upgrades.

I made it to something like 1500, then felt like increasing the speed and almost instantly died haha.

Great job overall, that was fun to play!

Card Empires by SunnyRx 2022-10-11T19:15:22Z

Impressive game ✨

The design is fantastic. Having to make all those decision quickly makes the simplicity of it really shine. I like small details like the farmers respawning after some times when an unit dies. The game feels like it was well tested and adjusted.

Great job and thanks for the game!

I went up to 80 and stopped when I was sure it was only going to be 2 wolves per wave from this point!

10-Second Magic Artist by vivyhasadream 2022-10-05T20:39:52Z

uuuh excuse me wtf (this one made me laugh a lot)

AIGalleryPainting-2022-10-05_22-36-35.png

Very nice little drawing game! Very polished version of something already fun on its own, this is great! The way you receive prompts by small sentences and the time limit forces you to do some silly things.

Thanks for that I had fun!

Jupiter & Arcana Travel Through the Nevermore by fae.pdf 2022-10-10T08:33:52Z

Beautiful little story game!

The writing felt great, just poetic enough without becoming unintelligible. The layout is nice, it makes reading comfortable and choices easy to do. The sound design ties everything together very nicely.

Great job and thanks for the game ✨

*One small issue I ran into: during the "revive a dying star" ending, once it became linear and I had only one choice, most of the choices appeared and disappeared so fast that I couldn't even read them. Maybe not having time to click on them is on purpose, but not being able to read them felt a bit weird!*

THE_MACHINE_KNOWS_HATE by HexyVexy 2022-10-10T08:59:08Z

Very nice game!

Making a platformer feel good is quite hard, and this one is great! The mechanic works great. Having to wait to see what's ahead could easily be boring and push to be careful and wait too much, but here it's perfectly designed, with small levels, fast movement and a mood that pushes you to be scared of waiting too much.

Great job, I really liked it ✨

🌙 Night Shift by Puree Adventure 2022-10-09T14:43:29Z

Nice game!

The gameplay is simple and nice to control (and well explained in the main menu), the art is very well made and sets a good mood. I liked that you need to decide between losing time to look at your paper often or try to hope you are still facing the right direction and stumble on the client. Randomising them between each round + all the fishies was a good idea, it feels better than delivery games where you just have to go to specific places and repeat.

I sometimes had trouble getting back to the Pizza place, I don't know if it's intended or not, but I would have liked a clear indicator when I'm not holding a pizza for exemple. Also, at first, I thought you could pick up pizzas from the ground, but it's actually funny to see all bad throws on the ground after some time.

Finally, I think the "caching" sound when you successfully deliver is a bit too loud compared to other sounds and music in the game.

Thanks for the game and great job for this, it's an impressive compo game ✨

Edit: I made 106$ during my shift 💰

Machine Yearning by Daniel Username 2022-10-06T16:37:49Z

This was absolutely fantastic. I love the idea, I love the execution, I love the music, the sound design, and I love me a good ghibu rudour.

It's really cool that the game needs no explanation and you understand after a few rounds that when it's a new word, it's your choice.

Nothing to add here, go and release it, it's really great!

Thanks for the game I had a lot of fun ✨

Peter OS by Brandsma 2022-10-08T12:04:56Z

That's a cool prototype!

The idea is very fun, the graphics look great, and the sound design works well. Gameplay wise, it would be really fun if each notification would make you do something specific. I guess it's what was intended, looking forward to see a post jam version then!

Also game is quite full of bugs, but it goes well with the "crappy telephone" setting haha.

Nice job!

Mages Arena by makar-ss 2022-10-04T16:37:05Z

Nice game!

I loved seeing all those mages run around, the hectic feeling of the arena is cool, even if the best strategy I found was to hide close to the walls haha. The upgrade system works well, maybe everything is a bit too expensive and grindy though.

Great job for a solo game!

10 Seconds, 9 Lives by Joe Bevis 2022-10-05T21:01:52Z

Lovely pico 8 game! I think I rarely saw ones that looked this good ✨

The concept is simple and well executed. I liked the nap times to make a bit of breaks between increased difficulty levels. Made it only to 12 but had fun anyway!

Garden Slime by Amanda Neff 2022-10-05T20:54:50Z

Nice little relaxing experience! I like the mood, just looking at the slimes play with the ball and listening to the music was quite soothing.

I was a bit confused by the stats menu, I did not really understand who was who or what those stats represented.

Great job on your first jam together ✨

Clique Hell High by Sean Esopenko 2022-10-16T09:28:59Z

Nice game!

The concept is very strong, it's very similar to Ikaruga but the fact that color change happens on a timer makes it quite interesting and force a bit more patience.

The level design is nice, you understand quickly where to go.

I like the art, it sets a fun mood. Great job on adding some cute animations too. Sometimes, since the background is very colorful, it's a bit hard to see all that is happening on screen, but most of the time it's fine!

The sound design and audio in general is very strong. Music is great, and there are a lot of great audio feedback, like for the 10 second timer and the different hits.

Speaking of feedbacks, it could be great if you added more than just audio for player hits and timer. A lot of players play without it, and it's often a good idea to have something like more feedback than one for everything. For example, when getting hit, there could be a bit of screenshake, some tiny pause or time slow, a little animation or just a sprite shake (since animations are often too long to make for jam games), and maybe a bit of color changes on the player sprite.

Great submission overall, good job and thanks for the game ✨

Earth tremor by Nel Creation 2022-10-06T21:25:55Z

Nice small game!

The wall jump is hard to get at first, but once you have it it feels nice. I managed to end in 16 seconds after a good numbers of tries!

I think the hookpoints could be more visible, it's hard to see them or understand what they do at first.

For a first jam game, it's very impressive! It's cool that you stick to something simple and didn't try to make a big level or some complex game.

Elemental Shrine by Correia de Brito 2022-10-08T11:52:50Z

Nice small game!

The art is cute, the idea of having to be the opposite color to hit enemies is fun. I like how you have to take risks to go back to center to change color

As other stated, it's impossible to know if your bullet hit an enemy or not, which makes it very hard to get the mechanic without having to read the text outside of the game.

Thanks for the game!

Aberration by waterfowler 2022-10-15T17:00:04Z

What an impressive compo entry!

Where did you find the time to make all this haha? The amount of stuff (narrative, gameplay, art) is insane, great job. The game was quite enjoyable too! The area of effect of people stayed up maybe a bit long, you had 10 seconds at first but then only 5 or so between each one since they stayed active for so long.

Great job on this and thanks for the game!

Sokobyo by Roroto Sic 2022-10-04T21:28:14Z

Cool Game!

The concept is cool, it's a nice twist on classic sokoban games. The first two levels felt great, they introduced the mechanics nicely! I don't think I did what I expected on the third one though, but I beat it haha.

I would love to see more levels on this!

Great job doing this solo and thanks for the game 👏

Cannoner Panic by tiagokioros 2022-10-16T09:50:04Z

The itch game page looks like it's private or broken, I cannot access it 🩻

Short-Lived Survival by SoshJam 2022-10-04T21:31:49Z

Really fun digging game.

The classic logic of "dig stuff => come back to upgrade" works well with the 10 second reset. On the first levels, you get used to go and come back, and once you understand safe zones and stars it changes the way you think about your runs, which is cool to keep the game fresh.

I'm not sure having safe zones be so random is a good idea, I would love it to be able to plan a bit better if I was guaranteed to find one around somewhere.

Nice job on this ✨

Polyhedron by Skeptes 2022-10-18T11:48:54Z

Made it to 42!

It's impressive how you transformed something as basic as QTEs in something quite cool. Feedback are well designed, and I was pleasantly surprised when letter then numbers were introduced.

As other said, the visuals take a large part of the screen without being of any use. I believe that without even changing mechanics, you could easily connect them to the QTE, like by making them spin faster when the QTE progress, or removing / adding some arrays for each key press for example.

Good job and thanks for the game ✨

Dia de los muertos by Paul_viu 2022-10-08T11:08:24Z

Nice game!

The movement works fine and is mostly intuitive. I like the idea of very small levels you need to do in less than 10 seconds. The art is flashy and nice and the music fits well.

I felt however like a lot of things were very hard to understand: - The fact that you can only walk on platforms of a certain color depending on the color of the sky - When does the sky changes color? This can lead to frustration when you are mid jump and it changes - The text explaining the shooting mechanic is very small and at the bottom of the screen, be careful, people who read texts are rare and even fewer people read text that is at the bottom of the screen! - The wall jump mechanic! I stumbled on it by accident. Actualy this might be fun to keep this one a secret mechanic. It's really busted though, I zoomed through the last level using just one wall in less than 5 seconds.

Also small bug that happens in every unity jam game haha: music is not looping.

Great job and thanks for the game!

Jumpy Fellow by ChungoStudios 2022-10-20T21:25:00Z

Nice! Made it to 328!

Gameplay is simple but well executed, the "safety jump" mechanic works well. I love how you designed a simple tutorial level at the beginning to explain the mechanics, it's quite well done.

Controls work nicely, the character is very slippery indeed but it gives a "old super mario" vibe that I liked.

Great job and thanks for the game!

LD54 — Limited Space

Chargez by bentglasstube 2023-10-12T11:36:49Z

Nice design, and great execution for a compo.

I agree with other comments, the dizzy effect strongly needs some visual/audio feedback to know when it's active or not!

Mental Space by pauljs 2023-10-10T14:06:14Z

What a nice experience ✨ The art is really well done and the game loop just feels a little bit too real. Thanks for this 💖

Hexle by TRASEVOL_DOG 2023-10-02T20:18:49Z

This is really impressive ✨

I can't imagine how hard it must be to design such rules and then make a good enough puzzle generator based on them. I'm really admirative! The polish and game feel are also really good, well done!

Overall it was a bit difficult to grasp everything for my post-compo brain, but I still had fun and might come back to it later to do some daily puzzles!

textures_failed_to_load by Yorsh 2023-10-02T17:47:49Z

This is absolutely impressive ✨

The core gameplay is simple and satysfying, with a level design of very high quality for a compo game. Then the "missing textures" gameplay comes and adds a lot! At first it's just fun to discover more of the art and animations, and the more you progress the more it becomes important for the cool little puzzles.

Absolutely loved the disk2 ending, this makes the game go from a 5/5 to a 5.5/5 💾

Great job and thanks, I loved it!

AM4LGAM8 by Alis 2023-10-10T12:55:27Z

Nice little puzzle game!

I really like the added bomb mechanic on top of the basic 2048 gameplay. It makes you face interesting risk/reward decisions. I get that the new wall tiles is here to fit the theme and prevent the game to go infinite, and I appreciate that, but it sometimes felt a bit frustrating.

Thanks for the game and good job ✨

The Fregstival by Honest Dan 2023-10-10T14:15:51Z

What a beautiful game! It's seriously impressive for a game jam ✨ I had a bit of trouble understanding the best strategies at first, but once you get it it's quite fun!

Introvertigo by Scott Steffes 2023-10-10T13:02:02Z

That's definitely one of my favorite game of this jam!

The mood is a 6/5, with incredibly nice graphics, animations and polish for a jam game. The sound design ties everything together quite well, and the dialogue system just works and makes you feel like you've already been in those situations.

I have strong negative feelings about AI in general due to ethical and ecological concerns, but this game makes such nice use of it that it almost made me forget that while I was playing!

Great job and thanks for the game, I'm sharing it with my friends ✨

Save the Tinyverse by azokal 2023-10-04T19:56:26Z

Nice little game! Everything feels polished, and the upgrade loop works great. The ending might be a bit long, once you get enough upgrades you just wait while covering the screen with bullets. Really nice game anyway!

Great job ✨

Blockade Burst 95 by OwlyCode 2023-10-02T17:50:33Z

What a nice game ✨

The concept is easy to understand, controls are simple and work well (I had an easier time on controller), and the overall polish of the game is super impressive for a compo game. Combos are super satysfying!

I want to go back to it to try and improve my score! Current best is around 105k.

Great job!

Nice game with lot of polish and a fun idea!

The incredible adventure of Bonaventure the Hero by ThomasLebel 2023-10-12T11:47:22Z

I'm really glad you liked it!

@yorsh @notinatal Thanks a lot! When designing, I made the leash as the "limited space", not the arena, but I get it that it might not be intuitive!

@tasakasama @owlycode @nicholaspfo @doinksoft @neon-kuroasa @phillip-scott @crow-seeds Thanks! It was my first time doing audio for a game, I'm glad I decided to record my voice!

@trasevol-dog Thank you! A friend of mine also told me that mouse controls might make the game better, and I felt a bit stupid cause I did not even think about it. I might try it for a mobile version in the future!

Boo! Bark! by Doot 2023-10-10T13:50:04Z

@alec Haha I love that. I played Super Corgy Drifter, I loved it! It feels so hectic 🐕

@nozomu57 @camilleb WAF 🗣️

@kanagg Thanks! I agree, the screen shake is not well balanced, and I often forget to put options to disable it. Thanks for the feedback!

@cheesepencil Thanks a lot and thanks for taking the time to come back and leave a comment 💕

@jesse-j-jones Thanks a lot and thanks for playing it on stream!

@rincs This drawing is so precious 💌 Thanks again for playing it on stream! (also omg your game is so good)

@mealky Merci beaucoup ! Yes je suis d'accord, j'ai réduit après les playtests mais c'est encore un peu long et on peut facilement se prendre les murs. Ce sera peut être corrigé dans une version post jam !

Boo! Bark! by Doot 2023-10-10T13:50:12Z

@portalis Thanks for confirming, I was not sure since I don't have a dog 🤔

@shidygames Merci beaucoup ! Content que mes super SFX faits à la voix t'aient plu 🗣️

@kasmilus Thanks for the feedback! I agree, I could have done a better job for the ending / scoring. I might add this in a post jam version!

@kairuma Thanks! I agree, I tried to tune down the difficulty a bit before the end but I'll have to remember that it always feel way easier than it really is when you try your own game!

@nick-baggett @zubspace Thanks for the feedback! I totally get what you mean, I even hesitated to just remove the spacebar bark since I had troubles balancing it. Maybe I'll do better in a post jam version!

@bauke-regnerus Thanks! There are 10 waves in the game and the last ones are stupidly difficult, so getting to wave 9 is impressive!

@braeden Thanks for the feedback! I totally agree, I made some adjustments during the jam following playtests but the game is still frustrating on the aspects you mention. I might try to do better on a post jam version!

@konfekt Thanks a lot for the feedback! I agree and will keep it in mind for future games ✨

Space Way by MrSamafu 2023-10-03T08:54:26Z

Nice compo game!

The mood is nice, the controls work and there is a little bit of extra polish here and there. I had a bug at level 10, I could not go to the red tile even if everything was yellow! Too bad, this was the level where it started to get interesting.

Great job and thanks for the game ✨

Wrecking Jail by Guilloteam 2023-10-04T20:05:43Z

This is an absolutely crazy good level of polish for a jam game! Plus a very cool game idea. Great job team!

A Little Bag Story by Vidu 2023-10-02T17:53:04Z

OMG this art, this is so impressive for a compo game ✨

The game concept of choosing what to keep in your inventory works well, even if some of it could be better explained. The lack of music or sounds is a bit sad but hey, it's compo!

Overall, nice game with absolutely crazy good art, well done!

Voyd by amarokczukay 2023-10-10T12:52:31Z

I love a lot of things about this game!

The wall shrinking mechanic is very well tied to the core shooting gameplay, the execution is impressive for a compo game with a lot of details that enhance game feel here and there.

Great job ✨

STOP BURYING ME ALIVE, BEAUTIFUL! by robobarbie 2023-10-10T14:40:14Z

omg this was so good. When I saw a new Angela He game I knew I had to try it, and I am not disapointed. This might even be one of the best ones. Thanks a lot for this and huge congrats to the team 💖

Gacha Fever by Falestress 2023-10-10T13:12:36Z

What a beautiful game!

The art really pushes this higher, both by being cute, well done, and visually clear. I love all the details like FX and transition screens. The "closing in circle" is nice on its own, but here it works enven better due to the enemies that leave AOE behind them.

I did had some trouble understanding some of the mechanics, like when does a wave ends or what do each stat represents exactly.

Nice game, great job ✨

DeliDare by igdiaysu 2023-10-06T06:14:27Z

Nice execution of this timeless puzzle! I like that you added lore around this.

Also damn I'm so bad at those haha

Feng Shui Struggles by Nozomu57 2023-10-02T19:55:08Z

I loved it 💌

The mood is set up just right by the cute little music, nice puzzle mechanic. The particles and moving sounds are a nice touch too. The mechanic is simple but the level design is smart and the game is just the right size.

Great job and thanks, i had a nice time!

Deadlinez by mickey-sanchez 2023-10-03T20:47:51Z

What a nice game!

I love the idea and execution, with a super coherent and original art style. Once you get enough green faces to just cycle through your deck, the game become a bit uninteresting, but that's an edge case and nothing that can lower the impressive amount of work you put into this.

Great job!

Crime Critters (Rob the British Museum) by Pen Island Games 2023-10-09T14:25:52Z

Awesome game!

The art is incredible for a jam, the level design is solid. The game might feel like moving out clone at first, but it has a lot of little smart design decisions that differenciates it: the way the time alert limit works, the fragility of items, the fact that you don't want to take everything but have to chose what to prioritize.

Great game and very impressive for a jam, good job team ✨

YOOBD by Ch48 2023-10-03T20:11:48Z

Woooow how did you make such a game in compo!

It's fun, feels good, has a lot of polish and very consistent art. The difficulty grows a bit slowly to keep the game interesting, but that's a nickpick for such a great compo game. Good job!

Subwhell in RushHour by Mealky 2023-10-04T19:31:10Z

Cool little runner!

The art is really cute, and the 2D/3D mix works very well. Loved to play it on stream ✨

Bien joué c'est très cool 💌

Claustrorush by Neon Kuroasa 2023-10-06T06:01:55Z

What a nice game!

I really like how the pressing "Walls are closing in" mechanic both adds tension but also helps you go faster. The controls are a bit hard to get used too, especially the wall jump, but once you get them it's really fun.

Also nice art and fitting music. Great job ✨

Circular Nest by ShidyGames 2023-10-04T19:27:35Z

Nice little roguelike!

I'm quite impressed with all the content and upgrade choice here, and I really like the idea of the smaller and smaller arena that changes your strategy over time.

Some upgrades are definitely way better than others, but it's kind of expected than a jam game with such a scope to not be perfectly balanced!

Great job ✨

Nice Park! by Barbabulle 2023-10-03T21:05:54Z

This is so cool! Loved it, and loved the fact that you could just ram into everything and go on to the next level when you didn't like a level that much. Love all the little details like the horns when you bump into cars, and the recap at the end.

I guess the only thing that could feel better are the collisions against walls that are sometimes frustrating and break the "go fast do stupid stuff" vibe. Otherwise this is very solid all around!

Great job and thanks for the game, I had fun 🚗🚗

DeskStop-30 by Turner Austin 2023-10-14T16:23:43Z

Nice little game! It feels very polished for a compo game, good job. Also very original for a Pico8 game

The_Box by KANAGG 2023-10-02T20:22:32Z

That is quite simple but still fun! Love the tense music and the sensual "Yes" at the end

One does not make jam without breaking pots by SimonCarter 2023-10-10T12:50:09Z

Really nice game!

The core mechanic is simple, intuitive and works well. Mostly, the simple "5 crates" objective turns what could have been a painful timed scoring experience in a tiny game where you just want to try and go for perfect.

Good job, espectially considering the time you put into it!

LD55 — Summoning

Summoning of Qasimar by arzi 2024-04-16T15:39:55Z

This is beautiful and very well made, but my brain is too small to get the puzzle. It would be nice to have a way to skip the summoning to try more stuff!

Great job on this little game!

Words of Power by nsadie 2024-04-16T15:58:03Z

Nice word game! I love that you always have a lot of possibilities but there is a push toward using some letters. I found the font quite hard to read.

Thanks for the game I had fun!

CHAZM by amarokczukay 2024-04-16T15:49:02Z

What a nice game ✨

I loved the overall presentation, and the core gameplay is super intuitive. The different balls have interesting effects, and the difficulty progression is perfect.

Awesome job, impressive for a solo made game.

Summoner Survivors by helluin 2024-05-02T20:02:37Z

Love the idea of a survivor with summons! The game works great and its nice to have a good variety of enemies to force movement.

I feel like the controls are a bit complicated and could have been simplified. The mouse doesn't really add much, and having to press space instead of auto attack feels the same.

Solid foundation anyway, great work team!

Burn with me by Nozomu57 2024-04-16T16:39:09Z

What an impressive jam game!

The deck building is very clean, allows for several different strategies, and makes you want to try again when you fail. I'm very surprised at how you managed to balance this in a jam. The random "sacrifice" ability on draw works extremely well.

Congrats and thanks for the game, I had fun and manage to beat medium difficulty!

LD56 — Tiny Creatures

TINY PACK by xk_the_name 2024-10-08T10:33:10Z

Woooow I was going to rate it 5 stars all around, but seeing it's a compo can I give it 6? Incredible game with a lot of polish, loved it.

Combo Critters by benjamin 2024-10-09T18:49:11Z

Really nice game! The polish is incredible as always, and the game itself is really good and engaging. Same as Div00 I found the font a bit hard to read for such a game, and maybe there was just a bit too many creatures? It might have been easier on my tired brain with a few less families or weird effects 🔥 Really solid game anyway, great job!

Build The Sun by TRASEVOL_DOG 2024-10-10T09:43:46Z

What a beautiful game! The gameplay was both intriguing yet intuitive, and the progression felt smooth. My only issue was with the "delete if holding" mechanic, I deleted important material from creatures that just kept walking into my cursor while I was doing something else several times. Still, I built the sun in the end ☀️

Tiny Apple by DocGeraud 2024-10-08T15:03:50Z

Fluto by pataya 2024-10-09T19:00:29Z

Very very nice game, especially on the mood side. I loved the way sounds / music and light were tied, and the farming mechanics were simple yet engaging enough. I'm just not sure what my goal was? Once I established farms all around I would have loved it if there was some sort of ending. Great game anyway!

Cheeese Watch by Yorsh 2024-10-09T10:21:28Z

niiice, simple, super intuitive, juicy, satisfying. Maybe a slightly bigger hit radius would help a bit? Or maybe I'm just bad at the game because I don't like cheese enough 🧀 Great job!

Kopeng run! by OwlyCode 2024-10-08T14:43:56Z

Nice runner! Movement feels smooth, the herd gameplay works great! The perspective works extremely well too. Maybe a tiny bit more action, like jumping or moving cactuses would tie this together a bit more. Well done anyway, impressive compo game!

Tiny nomads by Vhalenn 2024-10-08T14:34:04Z

Really nice game!

I didn't really understead or cared about the management/survival mechanics but the exploration of this tiny 3D world was really cute ✨

@yorsh @fishmasterino @trasevol-dog @13x666 Thanks a lot! I agree that being able to push back ennemies is a bit too strong, but we felt like it was in line with the "childish playfulness" we wanted for the game. We also added a stamina (grab an insect for too long and your hand will turn red then you'll drop it) + slower hand movement on big beetles, but we tuned it down a lot when balancing the game because it was a bit frustrating. We'd definitely need to find a better solution if the game was longer!

@laywelin Great job! Wave 7 is the last one and we made it a bit too difficult, it's always so hard to balance jam games! Thanks for playing ✨

@owlycode Thanks! I agree, more feedback on what your hand is currently hovering would be nice.

@ntimi So initially we thought of a tower defense game from the perspective of a child, where you'd grab stuff in your garden to make towers, like a rock and a stick to make a hammer tower. Then we thought about being able to grab enemies too to add them to your tower, and then we scoped down to only have enemies + stuff, and then scoped down even more to not use stuff from the garden but stickers!

@ani Thanks! Oh you are right, I could have made it so that the small bugs would always be in front of the bigger ones. I'll thought about it next time I make a game like that, thanks 🪲

A Tiny Summoning by Reyansh 2024-10-23T07:39:20Z

Fun concept but a but really lacks polish, its hard to understand when you hit for exemple. Also the music adds a new track everytime you start a new level! It was fun but I don't think it's intended haha

The Red Beetle Squad by Vidu 2024-10-09T10:30:48Z

Niiiice! The game is extremely cute, very innovative, has MULTIPLAYER OMG and is quite fun. The onboarding is a bit rough with a lot of text but once you get into it it's really fun.

Big congrats on this one!

Tiny Colony by MrEliptik 2024-10-14T16:58:33Z

Incroyable ! La musique est dingue je l'ai laissé tournée après avoir joué j'aime trop. Le gameplay marche super bien, même si c'est dommage que les objets non bombe n'aient que trop peu d'intérêt. Bravo à l'équipe ✨

Totally accurate Demon Battle Simulator by Ghatazorg 2024-10-09T10:14:25Z

Nice game!

I love the concept of an auto battler where you have to prepare your army before each run. Graphics are nice even if they made my 1070 melt for only 30 fps haha. Too bad the AI sometimes just got stuck, but it's ok since you can just restart the run and try another placement of your army.

Well done!

MushMush by Leykal 2024-10-14T17:10:45Z

The art is really nice, and the game idea is cool! The camera might need a bit more work, and the controls were a bit clunky, but I still managed to get to the end. Great job ✨

Having to download such a big game and have it melt my graphics card is sad but I guess it's always the case with Unreal games, too bad.

TRAP-EM by JawshyDawg 2024-10-23T07:27:38Z

Nice little game! Some things are not really intuitive, but once you get everything it's quite fun! It felt like the cooldown on the grapple could be way lower? It could be fun to zip around this little world.

Zeus Needs You by Geoffroy 2024-10-08T14:53:25Z

Ok wow il est trop bien votre jeu ! Sérieusement incroyable pour une première jam, et tous les sprites sont dingues et si grands, je suis fan ⚡
