Nice entry!!!

Wow! A VR game in a game jam! I'm really impressed that you managed to do this. It plays great on the VIVE but I don't know about other headsets!

@mantaraytv-games Glad to hear it works well on the Vive! I built it using the Rift CV1 but I wanted to attempt to make it compatible with as many headsets as I could through SteamVR.

772c6eef48e36c58e4706c998cc4ee6b.jpg Nice job making a VR game in 48 hours. Took me a while to find the 5th record but I can confirm it's existence. :)

This is really well done, it's a very contained experience obviously but but I'm still amazed that you managed to make a decent looking environment in vr. The texture and model for the player's hands, and the rigging was spot on, like HL:A level detail. Seriously good job with that, also The interaction with physics objects feels really good and very natural, which is quite rare in most other VR games I've played.

I do think it could have benefited a lot from having some more clutter around the environment to interact with, like more books on the bookshelf, for example.

But other than that the game and it's level of detail was very impressive. I also enjoyed the music a lot, I think my favorite track was "To Study", so good job on the music for sure!

Also it didn't really fit the theme too well, as there was no pressure to make you feel like you had to keep the vibe going by finding the next track before the previous one ended or something, but honestly I'm glad there wasn't. As it stands right now it's just a very chill experience, and hearing you speak to the player and play the acoustic track was a really nice touch that just added to the vibe.

It took me a while to find the secret track also, which made it feel more rewarding when I did. I admit I couldn't find it at first so I just threw everything out the window and then looked behind me and it was there. Unfortunately I was unable to hear the record at that point because the speakers were out of the window along with everything else, so I had to restart the game to play the record with speakers.

Also, I used the Vive headset with Vive wands for controllers if you are wondering.

I can't help myself wondering .... how much of the actual project was prep'ed in advance? I haven't tried doing VR yet... but to me it seems impressive if it's from scratch

Very nicely done :thumbsup_tone1:

@purpledartfrog None of it was prepped in advance! In fact, I spent the first day or so procrastinating really hard and having a few false starts. The only thing that wasn't made within the 48 hour time limit was the hands, since they came with the SteamVR libraries. I hope that's not *too* much of a stretch of the compo rules.

Works with Quest Link.

Really neat!

It's a really pleasant and calm experience. I liked the music, especially "to study" and the performance on the secret record. The Stereo effect of the speakers is a really nice touch, aswell as the hand physics.

Works great on the Valve Index, even with finger tracking!

Found easter egg, but couldn't listen to it (throw out a speaker)

Awesome job!

Very simple, yet incredibly well executed. Couldn't find the fifth one, but had a great time anyway!

Thank you for the game!

Glad to see a VR game in the jam. There were some minor QoL issues (i rather dislike teleportation movement and generally prefer a walk option and the and the audiolevels seemed a bit off making it hard to listen to the record much), but for a gamejam a very impressive entry, especially with details like the hands reacting to button touch events.

It's fun to fly around the room and leave me a mess in the room music.jpg

I'm pretty impressed, never played a VR game for a jam before! I couldn't actually hear the music at all unfortunately, and I was never able to find the 5th record, but it was pretty cool. Tip-toeing to see onto the high shelves and getting on my knees to look under the bed gave me a real sense of immersion, so kudos for that!
