Interesting idea. I'm not quite sure if it was just in my session, but it would be nice to see more of the population. Also it wasn't directly cleary, that my population needs to survive 5 days to win. Maybe some kind of progressbar might fit here?
I really enjoyed the mood. The UI is gorgeous, the world is cute and the sounds effects really trigger memories of these rainy days where you just stay at home in a warm blanket.
Great Graphics! The combat is fun, but it would benefit from faster projectile speeds, imho. However, it was fun after all. Also, the theme is spot on :)
Nice idea. Very fun to play against friends and compare scores.
Interesting concept that creates challenges for a vr design. I had some problems opening the trunk, because I accidentally pushed the car. I think the game would benefit if the car wouldn't move unless the player is in the driver's seat. Also the speed bumbs could be a big problems for players who are prone to motion sickness. I like the physical hand presence and the navigation system works great while driving in VR. In a flatscreen game with a cockpit view, that wouldn't work that well, so you took great use of VR regarding the navigation system!
It's a really pleasant and calm experience. I liked the music, especially "to study" and the performance on the secret record. The Stereo effect of the speakers is a really nice touch, aswell as the hand physics.
secret_record.jpg
Works great on the Valve Index, even with finger tracking!
This game feels amazing! The theme is spot on and it's fun to play.
I like the way you use sounds to indicate the ramp's movement, so you can be prepared and not be hit by the ramp when it starts charging off screen. The last level had me thinking for a bit until I remembered that the ramp won't try to charge at me from a distance. It made good use of the mechanics and was indeed a rise in difficulty, but it definitly wasn't too steep, at least imho.
@lyrcaxis @virimine Thanks for playing. We struggled with some of the last levels as well and it took us a more tries than we'd like to admit. We're working on making the controls snappier, so that hopefully fewer people get stuck.
I think we should upload a video of a completed run of the game, so you can the the ending even if you get stuck. Hopefully I'll get to that tomorrow and don't fail too often :D
Very impressive implementation of a unique idea. And all those little details, like windows bumping down when you fall on them really make the game blend organically with the desktop. How did you achieve this?
10/10 voice acting. That's some funny dialogue!
Very nice and unique idea. And it's quite educational aswell.
Great platforming! I really like the metroidvania touch with the abilities you get over the course of the game. The little details, like the dust clouds behind your feet when you walk, are a really nice touch.
Cute and oddly bizzare game. I like the vibe the graphics and music create in the beginning and the divergence with each additional plant into the bizzare
Great game! The art and audio build a beautiful atmosphere.
I think it would be a good addition if the flame (sprite) would also decrease in size as the fire diminishes. Not in a linear way, but just a little, so that you would just about notice it.
Also thank you for playing our game on your stream and showing us how you did the flicker effect!
I really like the art style. The animations are very cute. The music fits the vibe really well. At times I tried to drop to the branch below by pressing S, but that didn't work. That might be a good addition to make the controls feel a little more intuitive.
Great game. I really like the individual characters. I didn't expect them to be characters at first glance, but I'm glad that they're not just some kind of weapon without personality. The gameplay was fun. I had to adjust with the character switching each time I got a new character. Maybe the ability to select the character with numbers would help with that (like changing weapons in an fps with the numbers keys instead of scrolling).
Also thanks for playing our game in your stream.
Very immersive. The world building is most impressive. The story and dialogue really touched my heart. _No I'm not crying, you are._ Thank you for making such a relatable masterpiece reflecting my inner struggles and helping me find inner peace. VR version when?
I love the graphics and the music! Finding the right spot for the kick drum in an atmospheric song is quite difficult in my opinion, but you nailed it!
I personally feel like the timed reset mechanic works against the exploration, but I get that it fits the theme. However I like that you implemented the theme in two ways with the great level design.
The glow highlight sounds like a great idea and looks awesome! I'm looking forward to the enhanced edition.
The humor was great! I gotta check out the pocket operators, the song you made sounds really nice!
The cardboard graphics look great and I love the slow motion sound effect! I'd appreciate it, there was a mouse sensitivity slider. Bonus points for the punny title
Stuck in a loop? **I am the loop!**

I had a lot of fun with this game. The art style fits really well. As others pointed out, the game got a lot easier once I noticed I only had to protect my last carriages. Though once the train got longer than the distance between the stops it got a little bit trickier again, because I had to fight the respawned enemies and didn't have the protection from my first turrets.
I really like the different mechanics and roles each carriage has, though I there'd be a tutorial for the mechanics. It took my a while to notice, that the max amount of money I could make per trip increased with each gold carriage. Before that I mainly used them as a tank at the end for protection. Also once you buy some upgrades or new carriages the price for the repair all option drops to 0. Not a big deal, but I thought I'd let know you as you're working on an updated version.
This is one of my favorite realizations of the theme I've seen this LD and I'm glad you now have music and sound effects. Can't wait to play the updated version
I had the game on my second screen while doing other things and played it like a cookie clicker game. Here's the result:  loopyTrain2.PNG
I love the minimalistic art style and music. This was quite a peaceful experience up until the last level, which took me some time to figure out. Maybe some kind of slow motion mode (for a few seconds, not permanent) would be nice if you intend on adding harder levels.
It'd love to play a versions with more levels one day, but for the limited time the amount of levels is impressive!
Awesome game! I like the minimalistic style and the screenshake with the sound effects feels great. I had to try the level with the death zone a couple of times, because the given time was barely over the time I took to finish it, but it felt pretty good once I made it to the finish line. Great job!
It's a lot of fun. It reminds me of these wooden mazes where you navigate a marble to a hole to get to the next level. This would be great on mobile with gyro controls! Also, I love the racoon design!
The circle switching is oddly satisfying! Great concept!
Awesome idea! It took me a bit to get the repetition concept as I finished the first levels by luck, but once I got it I was amazed. At the end, I finished some levels by going through small gaps between the dots and the spike walls. I'm not sure if they were the intended path, but the gap could have been a little wider, as I needed to be quite precise to get through and I feel that stood in the way of the concept. Though I'm not sure if there was a better path to take, so that might be on me
The visual effects are great! The fast movement speed wasn't always easy to control. Maybe slowing everything but the player down could help with that while retaining the core concept of the speed boost. Great job on the sound effects as well!
I love the art style. The characters are unique and I had a lot of fun unlocking them **all**.
Characters.PNG
I had the feeling that the balance of question categories is not that even. I'd like to have more than one music that that I can reach each round, **without teleporting**. Either way, I had a lot of fun and the time went by faster than I realized.
Highscore.PNG
I'd love you to continue working on this and add more questions and maybe new boards? Good job!
@dans17 I'm glad you like it. I did indeed make the sound effects myself. We're planning on make our game roguelike and adding deck building. Thanks for play & your feedback!
This is mindblowingly awesome! I love the music and humor is top notch.
When can I upgrade my upgrade my free trail to the full version, so I can fry my brain completely?
I love the innovative concept and level design! The controls are getting in the way and I had some trouble figuring out, that I needed to walk back from a movable piece and walk back to it to rotate it. This seems to be intentional, as some puzzles make you turn a piece so you can walk back on it to face another. The minimalistic music and sound effects also really suit the vibe. Good job!
I love your interpretation of the theme. It's impressive that you managed to pull it off in 4h. Good job!
I love the music! I can't get enough of it, OST release when?
The flow in the gameplay feels amazing! I really like how you introduce more elements with short tutorial levels as you go deeper. The art style is very lovely as well.
It took me more time and deaths than I'd like to admit, but I'm glad I made it through to the end.
It's nice to see a fellow card game. I had a lot of fun with the real time battles and the deck building. To me, it had a similar feel to mmorpg fighting as in you need to wait for energy/mana to play your cards/cast your spells. It's amazing how you managed to add deck building in 72h! Good job!
The online leaderboard is a great idea. I had a lot of fun competing with a friend. It took me a few rounds to get familiar with the controls. The music is also spot on, great job!
I like the arcade style! Good job!
I really like the atmosphere and pixel look. In place where I could theoretically look far into the distance, I'd prefer it, if the effect would be turned down a bit. I'd also recommend giving the player some sort of feedback (sound and/or text) when they interact with a gate without having a key. I also really liked the npcs. Some of them will haunt me in my dreams, but that's a good quality for this atmosphere
I love the music and the smooth & snappy controls! It also launched SteamVR for me (my headset is connected). The parallax background is also a nice addition and suits the style very well.
I love the vibe of this game! The different layers of music and art really awesome! I think the level design is great, but if the player would jump just a little bit higher some frustration at hard jumps could be avoided. At some points I wished that I could switch to an higher level faster, though I get that the point is to calm down, so I wouldn't change the breathing time to much. I'm also very impressed on the result of the layer changes in the dialogue. It's crazy how one's perspective can change/manipulate the perception of meaning and intention. Definitely food for thought!
I played the WebGL Version and the controls seem to work on my QWERTZ keyboard layout. Though I feel like "W" is a bit unergonomic for jumping. Midgame I switch to my steam controller an mapped the controls to it, which helped me a lot. While writing this, I checked if you had controller support on my XBox controller and I noticed you can move and jump with the default Unity layout (Left-Stick + Y [though A would fit better, imho), but I couldn't switch layers. I'd love to see this with controller support to explore a longer journey
I love the intuitive & fun gameplay! The level design offers great possibilities for trick jumps, which were a lot of fun. The sound design and visual aesthetics work great to create a relaxing vibe.
One thing that had me confused at first were the cogwheels. I thought they were obstacles at first. A little clue would have been helpful in the level with the first cogwheel.
Also, the cats at the end of the levels are awesome! So far, one of my favorite games this jam. Good Job!
I really enjoyed the upgrade progression. The start felt a little slow, but when I combined the red and blue fuel things really took off.
I'm still a bit confused about the ending though  EndGame.PNG
Awesome game! I really like the individual level sections, but a little less backtracking/dead ends would make the level design shine even more. Also the options would benefit from a mouse sensitivity setting. I love the consistent art style! Great job!
Great game! I like the balance of simplicity and complexity. An easier way to restart would be great for multiple playthroughs  Good job!
Great game! I really love the throwing mechanics. The changing arrow indicator is a great way to change your shot if you pressed longer than intended.
I love the cute art style! At first I didn't get the speed building mechanic in the first small area, but once I got it, it felt so very liberating to traverse so fast after starting out so small. At some points some kind of arrow pointing home might have come in handy, but as there's no need to be(e) in a rush, it wasn't much of an issue. Great job!
I really dig the art style! The gameplay works well on controller, but I had to use the mouse for the menus. The music and sound effects are great. Some audio feedback when I'm getting hit would be a great addition, as I sometimes didn't register the subtle visual effect. Overall, great job!
Just the right amount of jank! Pulling some donuts while reaping a lot of crops really feels satisfying. The music caught me off guard in the beginning, but it grew on me. Good job!
I love the graphic style & music! The riffs complement the gameplay speed perfectly.
As others have mentioned, a way to keep track of the objectives would be helpful. Apart from the pause screen, I'd also show them on some sort of HUD, so you don't need to stop your flow to check what's left.
It would be great if I could use the right stick to control the camera. Looking sideways to check for objectives would let me keep my speed and my flow.
The game is very fun and it's impressive what you managed to do outside of your comfort zone!
I love the approach with the hand crafted graphics  Very cool and cohesive style!
Very cohesive and cool style! At first I didn't think the roaches would affect the gameplay, but Combined with the timer, they made more challenging than i initially expected, not too difficult though. Great job!
This is one of the most unique interpretations of the theme I've seen so far! And the art, music and execution is awesome
I love the cute duck and the music  Jumping feels great and snappy, however I had some trouble navigating when falling, as the camera doesn't show enough of the space below me.
The graphics are amazing. The artstyle is really consistent. With some music and sound effects that could create a really awesome atmosphere.
Very fun idea! Though it is quite hard. Maybe an option for 1 vs 1 would allow players to have an easier start.
Very cute idea. The graphics are adorable.
If you want to check our game out and help us reach 20 votes, that would be nice. c:

I really liked the way the story is presented. The mood of the story is fitting, too. Great writing!
I like the level design and it's good first game. Like some others, i also had some problems with the keyboard layout. I'd suggest using Unity's input axes (horizontal and vertical for movement e.g), so they can be changed in the configuration window before the game starts.
