Nice controls, minus once you get to the wall jumping thing. I couldn't get after that as the keys are all jumbled together there and it cramps up your hand. :) i found everything else to be nice and very challengingly timed. I liked skipping that one room by jumping over those three guys with the jaws! :D
Controls were slow. the idea of it changing based on user input is genius, however tedious in the sense that there seemed to be no clues on how to activate the different game modes. :) (that was the point though. :D )
I killed all the rockets and crash landed at the bottom. i assume this was the goal. animations look nice, glad that i can still can move while shooting. :D
game froze loading the third room.
This is a cool game graphiclywise. very impressive. it shows how games Should look like lol. the movement is a little troubling at times, but i managed till i got to the railroad car part. The saws kept slicing me up! the huge filesize was, lame at best. other than that great!!!!
the mechanics of the game were nice. I could shoot at the enemy while running away. I like that. (some fail at this) The graphics were humorous, as well as the buttons in the menu that didn't do anything. haha. I was pleased you got the boss there at the end that even bled a little as he died. Nice.
I liked the feel of the game. I felt dizzy looking at your menu screen and at the transistions from level to level. I thought the fighting system was rather funky, as in there wasn't any, but i found it fun to level up and stand my ground. The farthest i made it was upgraded to level 7 on stage 6 or 7 i forget which one of the stages i made it to. :)
Yes, i'm sorry about the hitboxes, definatly improvements for the future. For the 4 fat guys you have to hit the edges of them in order to succeed. I just beat the entire thing yesterday, so i know it's doable. :) The bosses can't be destroyed. Maybe I should add some sort of text saying how useless your lolipop is against him. :) The cat stage, try blowing the cats, it makes it much easier. otherwise you have to use your lolipop and jump in the air to get them. if you get caught in the air suck or blow, use "weight" to stop! :D thanks for playing!
Thanks for the reviews, they were really helpful. It really gives me good feedback for future games and ideas. :D I fixed a lot of the problems with the hitboxes and have made things somewhat simplier to understand and play. :D you'll have to find me in the irc chat though to play the updated version. the dot moves SOOOOo slow. takes an hour just to move from the boat to the woods. :O Didn't get much further than that. :)
Very interesting game, it's different. If you click the x button it makes a random explosion appear! haha destroy your population faster! It was very difficult to get the partners to get together, they seemed to die much faster than i could pick. Very nice idea though, maybe have only a couple be effected and spread it like a virus that you have to try to stop. :)
This is a fantastic game. it was very fun and interesting with that geomeneome gun. :) in combination with the pistol made it very intriguing. :D great work here!
Nice i thought it was a very solid play. only improvement, i don't liking having to "click" the piece again to be able to click on another space. Once you figure out how to win, that's it. :D still, cool!
Don't know how to win at this, the timer runs out before i can send my rocket to the other planet. Simple, but nothing lags, it works nicely. :)
The controls were bizzare because they changed from the menu screen and then back to w,a,s,d in the game. i didn't know you could use the mouse, but once i got it, i got it. nice work with the full screen mode. :D
Not being able to shoot while backing away makes this impossible to pass the first wave. Otherwise good first go!

i don't know how to win. I seem to lose everytime. i don't know how to control which of the three objects i am, i can't seem to not hit anyone. i just hit all of them. lol didn't know unity could look this way good job with that.

Finally beat it. man that speed kill is like, "ok, just shoot me now cause i'll never make it." it was better just to run through the rooms than to focus on killing. You got random genetic improvements, is that evolution? :D That final room was hard! took quite a bunch of tries. needs more though, more more more!

Great! i loved it! the only problem really, was that my computer often froze and i lost control of the ship for a while, the computer beeps for a bit and then you regain control. really cool upgrading. :)
amazing work here. loved the size, feel, music, ui, and mood. Found it hard to use guns. made it to where i had to get 21 ppl before i stopped. NEEDS a marker on your character when you first load a level. it's hard to find yourself! (at first) that's the only time you would need it. otherwise, nice nice nice. loved the cars. CRASH
Nice puzzle game. Not much on the theme. Interesting dynamics. i think i only lost on one puzzle as i didn't do the very end lava blocks write. good job
LOOKS fantastically brilliant. i love the graphics and feel for the game. I figured out that i could just leave it on for awhile since i didn't see anything else to acomplish once i found i could zap them when they came in. Eventually they built ladders over the entire map and dug all the way down to the bottom. piles of ladders! XD

Thanks for all the comments guys! Really makes me smile. :) i'm glad someone discovered the unwinnable wall placement of cookie error. There is also one where you put it on the ground in the bed room and leave the room. that makes it unwinnable. Also, has anyone discovered the secret bug where you get dev settings? ;) My sister found it. I think it's hilarious that those settings are in the game! :O
music makes this nice. Is there no way to remove a dot? ar r r g. if not, then you hvae to have it perfect. made it to wave 4 in 4:02 minutes.
um. Same as the other guy. Nice twist in killing me off immediately by placing my guy next to where they spawn. hahaha. but, i found no way to speed up the time intervals you just wait. :P nagga. The pathing was strange, so setting up towers is difficult. Once towers are errected the single person going through is very hard. I survived one wave and died the next. :D
Undoubtibly you are the villain. you kill harmless people that do nothing to harm you. other than that the game didn't seem to have an ending. i got 100 points and killed everyone.
The guy's jumping across the platforms is nice! I beat this quite easily as long as i didn't ... die. death was > threat than them getting my pink box with a face and legs.
I played with this for a while trying to figure out what everything did. I'm very impressed with the radar system, targeting system, the console was simply brilliant, it even had a "space" bar. ;) It took a while to figure out that black thing was chasing me, and when i did it scared me to no end. I wanted to destroy it, tell it to go away, leave me alone, and stop annoying me with it's messages. Then it left. lol It would be nice to see this developed into a game. I like the idea of a sole survivor having to sort out the past and deal with higher intellegence and work out how to succeed. :)
Very nice game. Graphics, feel, difficulty, objective. All had a really bizzare freaky evil feeling of stealing stuff. I want more whining and crying though when the kids discover things missing... Anger! Hatred! it's what villians want to see!

The item selection and animations were cool but it seemed very difficult. The graphics seemed to be really low resolution. almost faded.
I enjoyed the thematic intro. it was beautiful and nicely set the stage for me. I liked the idea i was going to impress a princess. It took me a little while to figure out how to hurt anything, let alone consume it. i did though. once in the courtyard, i didn't figure out what to do. nice models!

Challenging fur sure. I beat it haha. Collision needs a little work, unless the walls are supposed to be sticky. Why the weird movement controls? it'd been easier just to have the keyboard move the dude and/or the mouse used just to face a certain direction. dunno, that's just how i thought!

Hilarious. top marks for humor! and theme wasn't bad either, you were very evil as a gamaker and as a gameplayer. I felt villionouous. It was kind of weird that the main character wanted to murder. very, non-hero. The endings blew my mind... Cons would be graphics, gameplay, audio, music, mood, etc. :D
haha nice work with the partical effects and world emersion! i felt like i was part of something great. I wish you had put something there for when i died. took me a couple of times before i realized i had health and that i was dead. :D

I could jump very quickly. The only thing that was weird was that the camera bounced everywere when you moved. maybe as a result of a grid based movemnt? Also it seemed like i could jump in the air. didn't know if htis was intentional or if that was the gold things i collected. :)

The concept is neat, kind of reminded me very vaguely of ikuraga, but heh, i destroyed all the levels and finished! xD I thought it was funny by the end as i was just spamming every color and killing all of them. it was like shooting rainbows.
This was amazing. Moosic set the mood so nicely. Figuring out stuff was fun, and the setup of each scene fit the game so well. I'm impressed and enjoyed all of it, even if it was so short.
You know, it was a nice game. Sounds were pleasant, and the theme was simple. It took me a while to get to the statue.
i played till level 12. that one will take a lot more effort to finish it. lol. those moving platforms i keep expecting my guy to "ride" the platforms, but then it doesn't work like that. i loved the music! the top down 2-d jumper was neat. good work.
I enjoyed this little game. It was fun to play, and i got squished on that down section at least three times before i got it right. Finished strong. I thought the music was sweet.
i kind of like went forever. Once i passed 3000 points or abductions it was funny. getting to that point was hilarious. I liked sucking up the ppl for energy, although that is really weird if you think about it...
lol i thought it was fairly simple. I guess that's where the minimal part is. the feel was nice, and the programming was solid. i didn't feel like i glitched anywhere or got lost figuring stuff out. yay!
I made it to lamp 5 i think. 3 got me soooo many times. i noticed the lamp heights varied for every game i played. I like the starry background and the beautiful star. :D
Interesting idea for the theme. it fits very nice. Fishing, to me, seems pretty minimal! Love the sounds and the light pastel colors. The fishing felt pretty solid too. :)
I was impressed by the amount of text, dialogue, and the npc's were neat! xD It was slow to go places, got lost at times, and there didn't seem to be anything dangerous.
love the main char. she's awesome. liked the music and an am in awe that you made that from scratch yourself. The mechanics seem nice, although the fighting became timing and button mashing to win it seemed. The boss was awesome. loved the things that dropped. The bullets got their own shadow as big as a man... xD
Not sure how i die, or lose. lol maybe i missed something. Solid movement, and the controls were easy enough to learn. I cranked it up to wave 100 and it seemed the same as the other ones. Not sure why that was. :)
I liked this game. I didn't like the textbox in the way, or the fact that it played it's text slowly sometimes. The sounds were quaint, the deaths were nice and jittery, the jumping was smooth, the running was nice, the level buttons were cool, and the music was hip. gj!
i loved your water tiles. xD Not sure what to do after the bridge, but when the main character walks i would have expected him to be sickly when he walks. Right now he's like a street fighter. "put em up!". also he talks about being old? He needs something that represents age, cane, white-beard, something. :) idk, just imo.

setting aside that it's mario-like, i loved your music. was a treat to listen to. not sure why the movement was forced to be like a "run!" game as i wanted to enjoy your levels with free movement. That's just me i guess, but that's me. :) cute pixel graphics and nice imitation and feel for a mario game.

hoestly i thought the 10sec timer was the most annoying part. lol the theme. which i thought was funny. nice work with the grid and inv systems, and the wiggly sprites.
When you squash the dudes the items do appear. If a bullet hits a bomb it blows up and disappears... if you collect a green ball that's a green ammo clip, health box for health... :D the throne is in the blue room. the room off to the left is nothing. you only go in there if you run out of the enemies in the main room and need to respawn them.
I was wondering why the slow animated menus? um, the setup works , maybe i was missing somethings i don't know. The music and sounds work for this game i think, i hit a few trash cans and super jumped over some lakes. niiice! :D i felt like a flying robot. the text when you die saying why is a robot bleeding was funny. :D
like the virus games with a good twist on the different kinds of things you can make. nice.
nice job codexus. getting on the roof was a major advantage. Also having them being able to shoot themselves increased survivability through the roof. XD loved the power ups.

augh. i couldn't find it in me to pass the part where you jump to the right over 2 spikes, drop down to the next screen, get on the platform, drop down to the helicopter to grab the 10sec timer refresh. jump down again to the next screen and get on that platform, jump over the spike in the way of the platform as it moves, drop down and there are the two ghost guys with the 10sec timer refresh. that's where died all the time. hurray! gj on the lighting. very creepy. I"m a LIGHTBULB. xD

Once i managed to control the red level the others got much harder. (i died on pac man)

finally figured it out. I liked the free roam system. You could pick up a cup and fly across the screen, even though the camera didn't follow you all too well. The guns went out of ammo so fast that i never was able to kill anyone. With the objective to live as long as you can, i kind of can do that by running forever in one direction. nobody can stop you so you could say i beat the game forever. :D
Weird game. I don't know how i feel about it but it scared me to no end once i reached the killer. the language was scary too.
This is an excellent thing for a market in a game. It's so good. You could have people trying to game the market for a long time. Took me a few tries before i started figuring out it's better to wait. :D More varaibles and risks are better in the stock market too. Graphs, news reports from the companies that have stock, and other kinds of options for invensting those precious dollars. gj.

I felt like the game as a bit slow. I loved the messages along the way, but i felt like there was going to be a time where i was going to have to be let go. The mechanic, while interesting, didn't seem to be entirely useful in the sense that like bullet time in the "enter the matrix" game, you didn't see any need to not be in the "mechanic". all the puzzles seem to rely on being in '3-d', so any chance to make it 3d the answer was there. If there was a choice between when to use it or not, that might be more interesting. the graphics were supurb, and was that minecraft sand there in the middle? :D

Nice entry in the sense that i was surprised by what this game turned out to be. The mechanic with the goop was very important to discover. :D I loved the menu's and the personality of the messages.

best score i got was 911. I thought your game was cool! i saw several kinds of animal life. even a submarine! and the loch ness monster! very scary to see those giant things. ^_^

Sweet. I finally figured out at the end and i was so excited that i figured out what was going on i played through all the levels again. 80% of the time you only needed one side to boost the bar to advance to the next level. The number of connections per circle was a nice mechanic that can be very elaborated on. different colored connections etc could be a nice addition. The sounds of the dots moving through and hitting the bar went directly with the nice music to give it a decent flair. game was a bit short, but the potential is hidden inside the puzzles that could be created with the setup that you've based this on. :-) gj.
I enjoyed this cute game. Collected 43 of them. a bit difficult at times. Best part was dying. xD
i felt immersed underwater in a submarine. It was like i was there, bobbing under the water fleeing for my life to get to the other side. Then i discovered many more submarines and decided to get frisky and blow them up! I discovered that better enemies had scarier torpedoes than i did. much to my chagrin, i died. Nice work. The lighting was bit weird a times and the camera bounce was really wild. a bit to jarring. you caught the bugs at least. :-)
203 seconds in and i'm lvl 23. i don't think that was the objective of the game, but that's what happened with me trying my absolute hardest. Suggestions? make it so no ball, no matter what it's velocity, cannot crash into the middle at exactly the same time. :-D oh, and i saw 3 green balls the whole time... xD
Neat. text = slow. forever. xD um. I liked the spacey feel and the planets surface and going inside them. other than that, there wasn't much else to do.
The basics work nice. the sounds were fun. need to fix the bugs like randomly-running-off-screen-guys and no bounce shot or rebound and continued playing. So if you miss you lose. :-)

I liked it. a bit too hard. i liked the different pathways to travel, the sounds were cool, and the colors were well chosen to represent the underground feel. The rocks randomly falling on you was kind of annoying, even though if you really tried they could be avoided. I don't mind that the dudes spawned often, it was that there was no way to pass them without taking damage most of the time.
high mood, high graphics, high theme! :D why moving balls get stuck in walls, keys reloading then vanishing, bullets seem to only pop bubbles, and what's going on with the camera? xD it moved so strange at times. All in all, you get high marks in the areas i mentioned! xD

I thought this was pretty quaint. I love the little girl graphic and i feel like i want to get places. but sometimes my poor feet just get stuck. kind of like getting cold feet, but without the cold. I discovered these beautiful magical sunflowers that took me to amazing places. This was the highlights of my adventures. :-) The cold feet was very hard to deal with. i like the wavy sunflowers.
this is the only game i've played where i move around giant towers that emit radio waves. They are cool. i honestly felt like i was in the water. doing ... something. cool.
unbelieveable graphics. the mechanics were flawless, the actions thoughough. This game looks so nice, flows very smoothly, the messages were brisk and nicely done. I just didn't have that great of a time playing. Needed to be a tab bit more fun to play. Not sure what exactly, maybe something to shoot at, maybe? don't know exactly. :-) beautful entry though. Not sure how the theme fits into this though.
this thing is very interesting. I like the stars in the background. Awesome and well done. Figuring out a good pattern took 2 tries. After that i got 200+ then i fell asleep, and realized i was dozing and woke up and when it didn't seem to end i stopped at 340. :-) the music was lulling me, i think that's what it is. The stars and the soft humming for music. :-)
wow. this was such a great first place. The look is so nice i figure out how to do stuff and then... it just stopped. There seemed no where else to go... oh look, an edge, try to jump over the building... waaaaaaaa i died. :D Just needs finished is all.
hahahahahaha the first thing that happened to me is i glitched off the left hand side of the screen! Then i tried again and found that i'm almost invicibally awesome at this game! I can not lose and i cannot win, i cannot die and i cannot save ppl, but i CAN make every single ghost dissappear off the screen once one of my purblish balls hits them. i'm UNSTOPPABLE.
Very hard to figure out what was going on. That made the experience very kind of difficult to understand who was contancint who. I did recognize that it was a switch board. :D

Nice tricicycle i took out all them minions. Fav part, the SAND WORLD> WEeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee needed some rad sounds.
Interesting idea of combining the different games into one. i guess that was the idea behind the theme. Seemed a bit slow, that's all i have. lots of stuff going on, just a bit slow to change, move, or shoot. :-)

I think this is a very well done puzzle game. I didn't pass the second triple puzzle. But liked the graphics, blend, and just different sense of a game. :D
I liked the music. Very pleseant to listen to. I thought the switching between the worlds was nice and smooth. Pushing the blocks was annoying as you could just bump them off the switches or knock them off the ledges the wrong way causing you to have to reload the entire game and start over. I got to the weird switch and the up arrow. It appears that if you push the thing inot the conveer it would go up and deactivate the blockage, but not sure how to pass that point. wow. totally awesome feel to this game. I don't think i've seen a playstation entry, ever. Cool. after quite a few fails i figured out how to kind of scope out ai and beat them. But once i got to fighting 3 at once, i was toast! the only really anoying thing was if you flew too high, you no longer had any real spacial view anymore, even though the camera really never flips. :D cool stuff.
Great graphical setup. I truely felt like i was looking at a terminal. Felt a lot like VVVVVVV. (which has been said) Annoying is hardly the word. 1 hit frustration start at beginning megaman annoyance? herpaderp frustration. but, you already warned me of that. so, yeah. haha. nice!

creative in the aspect that i wasn't expecting to be the one caught. Not surprised to see the theme that way, but how cleverly it was excuted in the tiny window was neat. The infinite attacking was funny. Those trainers just got trashed. The music was nice, but loud. The graphics felt gameboyee. nice.
lol loved this, the graphics were nice, the controls were super easy to get, the character was cool, my first failure was intruiged by the message"you are not even in your final form" made me wanted to play it again, which i did, then the thing broke and i was like YES YES YES YES YES awesome!!!! :D a bit slow and tedious to get to that point is a negative, you miss a lot. :/ some sort of indicature with your monster senses as to where ppl are on the bridge would have been super!
this was cool. I liked the simple setup, nice methods of running around. I felt like i kinda did the same kind of thing, but yours was much more puzzly, felt more like pokemon(not mine of course)(mine was alien), and the dynamics of the game felt nice an tight. The choice of magiccarp was what kinda confused me since there are more "monsterly" pokemon in the bunch. :D

It was so crazy!
wow, so cool. Loved so much of this, the knights, the bowman, the horse, the bard, the monster. The genius! Things i didn't like. Man it was slow. Took soooooo long to catch some of those archers. :/ that damped some of the fun for me. Otherwise awesome!!!

this game is hard. I liked gathering as much people as i could, but it was just so hard not to attract the guards before i was ready to fight them. :-)
Funny start at the menu. Nice work on making it not too easy and yet each one was beatable if you thought about how to pass each part. I thought the random parts of the maps that had nothing in them were interesting because i saw them, yet didn't have to go there. it was nice. The controls were a bit laggy for me where i would click and my char would throw himself into the abyss of a "monster" and kill himself. Trying to pass the one room with 6 walking slimes, 3 tiny gumdrops, and 2 big standing slimes that held the lipstick arrow-shooter was the most difficult. They kept running me over when i would drop down. I eventually figured out you can skip teh last two and that lead me to beat the game. :D

HI! i got 4:55. not too shabby. I liked the simple graphics, the nice atari sounds. The gameplay took me a few reloads before i figured out that poeple randomly spawn around you and that you could eat the shooters. nice! Didn't know what to do about the houses. I just ate pplz.

Can't believe that was a 2 hour game. It's sooooooooo hard. Best i did was 1100. I kept killing like everyone. "wait your turn, wait your turn WAIT YOUR TURRRRNNN" splat splat as everyone tries to get out of vietnam. or blockland. Whatever this place is. xD i couldn't believe if you overfilled your heli, it got HARDER to fly. I was shocked. xD

THis.... GAME. this game is the worst gameplay experience i've had. But i couldn't put it down, i had to see where it was going. i must complete and then i just started chanting "please, just let me die" over and over again in real life as i progressively got closer to my goal of figuring out how to beat this game. Time went on. I discovered the selective immunity and I roared at the screen. The secret poison position that i was hoping it'd be an apple! it wasn't a good one, it was poisoned! Then the spikes got me. Oh this game, this game this gaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaame. I played on ultra low graphics, but i had to do the ultra HIGH graphics to see the boost in mood. I got stuck under some spikes, but did that stop me? no! i restarted the entire game!!! I enjoyed the simple look, the concept seemed very similar to other dine/dash games where you run around and get an order ready, like overcooked and such. The moment i had to decide what i wanted to shelve was nice and i appreceated that i needed to make that choice. collision was sticky at times. :\ the rate at which the orders declined was a bit too fast. But, that's okay. it was nice. :-)

I'm amazed at such a simple concept could turn in to so many obstacles. While i found the first few levels doable, the later levels began to be very frustrating. In the sense that it was very easy to figure out what you needed to do, but you didn't want to take the time to slowly agonizingly slowly go through the level avoiding the harmful spikes and the horrible bouncing when you wanted it to stick. The feel and sounds are great, the intro was really cool and i was trying to move the telescope right off the bat and then somehow i became a dude in space on the inside. :D funz and neat and frustrating. :)
This game was really cool, the mechanics feel solid and the shooting was smooth. The mini fights felt nice, the potions were intuitive and i was so glad when they auto healed. I got confused as things progressed when things changed randomly. I liked the boss and mega boss fights. I had to think what tactic i wanted and was suprised when i couldn't just settle on one tactic to win. :D thanks for the fun!

The jumping was annoyingly difficult and I lost many times before i could complete the game. Wow! lots of people have played this. xD But, i really liked this game. It was surprisingly amazing. I felt the grip of the lack of space, the threat of the monsters and the thirst for the quest to find them nuggets. And then i lasted quite a while before finally being annihilated because i didn't have any defenses. :D i couldn't figure out how to sell buildings i already built. Nice!
Decent game here. I feel like this is the perfect ludumdare style kind of game. It's fast and lets you repeat the levels if you die, making it much less like mega man and more like a kind, 'lazy', approach for gameplay so you can memorize movement for only one level rather than going through the entire game every time. Thanks for that. Superb graphics, smooth movement and gameplay. sweet. Only thing that was a bit on edge was the sounds and music. Great entry.
I couldn't believe i lost live while punching. I just became a juziciziqu freak and went to the right side and kicked them all to death. I believe i floated all the way to new york like that. Win. :D music was a tad loud.
Nice game! Biggest complaint is the music is wickedly too loud, and the keys would often get locked into going one direction. :( Other than that cool graphics, sound, mechanics, blowing up the gold was a nice touch, definitely relied on that towards the end; the chests and bombs were cool in general. great work.
WOW. I really liked this entry. Something soothing about a desktop. The feeling of computer. Ahhhhh. so smooth. I enjoyed the soft graphics style, really inspiring stuff. You make me want to do things like this myself. Maybe someday i'll come up with something interesting like this. But, nailed the theme. Super cool stuff. :D
Decent game that was exciting at first and a really nice take on the theme that got tedious as time went on when i realized the time it was going to take to go anywhere. Everything just needed trimmed down into a more concise version of the theme and this thing would have been simply sparkly with neatness. Nice walls, lights, areas, items. The glitches, time, and area distance was big annoyances for me.
Nice little entry you got here. Gives me a big tony hawk pro skater vib. Love the large expansive level. Needed more ways to quickly get around and it'd be a real gem to enjoy. :-) Music was nice too. :D

I beat it yay! Took a while to figure out how it worked. Once i did, it went pretty smoothly getting it to allow me to run around the map working my way to the elusive door. Died quite a few times before i figured out how to move the items around so that i wasn't opening myself up to being destroyed. Music, sounds, and levels will be amazing for this idea. :-)

Neat little game. Lost a bit but figured out how to survive. Couldn't figure out how to win! I had 1000's of troops going everywhere and taking prisoners. Even tackling the boat from time to time, but no apparent way to win. :D
Wished it had audio. I like the concepts this makes you think of. That in and of itself is pretty neat. It's not fun in a game perspective, but it's interesting in what you are talking about with people that no matter what you do are going to sacrifice someone. Gives it a sense of inevitability. That UI is killer! Loved the text and graphics. The drawings not so much, but for the ui that works really nice. :D
Wow, what a strange game. While the subject matter is fitting to the theme, how many people wanted your kids was downright hilarious! The wizard must be quite the celebrity. The pineapple on pizza was hilarious. The non-clear borders of where you could go was both annoying and ok at the same time. Once i realized all you did was point and move your character i was alright. :-)
i liked it. the skill points really made it for me. the only negative was the wandering around forever. No knowledge of recharge, but heh fun! would make a really fun multiplayer game.

THis is a great game. It's fun and really goes and shows the amazing spreading ability of fires. The take on the theme is perfect. less so with helicopters and airplanes, but i get it.

Nice game. Actually Really nice game. I really really wanted to love it. I couldn't because of mechanics and controls. but the feel is great, the mood is nice, the sounds are great the icons are great the tutorial is great the game is engaging. i tried so hard to get the gun to aim better. It didn't work very well. The shot gun was nice but because if the inaccuracy i couldn't justify buying it i had to buy health every time. Good job though.
I liked figuring out what to do by just bouncing around. xD It was kinda cool. xD dropping off ledges was really hard and annoying. Other than that pretty nice entry.

Ran really slow, not sure why it was so slow. I was able to figure out some of the ui, the pace of walking was super fast to start before it dropped off. Just needed to have a consistent framerate.

This game is really nice. I felt like the things I do in life are important in the game in life and that without memories, what are you really? If you can't remember, then learning, experiences, and things that hold such value aren't as important. I made sure i got all three endings and was happy that i nailed all three! :D Loved the music, feel, and mood.

i love the graphics. I love the motions. I died a lot. Wasn't sure how to attack people. I just seemed to die. If i hit them they died, but i died too. you NAILED the theme 10/5 on that one. I even tried easy mode but the game cursed at me and I died again going back to hard mode. interesting that even this game had a personality tough to beat!
Cool, graphics and mood way high here. Nice simple theme. I'm just a simple slimeball collecting coins and layered color cookies or something. :D Once i figured out how to get the big points it got a LOT easier.
I thought this was so hard. That's not bad, it's just how it is. The only thing that irked me slightly was when i figured out that I could die if i go off screen, but the ENEMIES do not. :( i worked hard to get him on that car and drive him off screen, but he didn't die. lol xD Very cool game, love the concept, and the art and motion is saweet.
I felt like i was the king of doing stuff. I raised them all and they kept me alive. That's all i could ask for really. I was very glad it was all green. So much greeness that greened all around.

The paralax scrolling is my favorite part. The bullets have nice velocity. Everything else feels a bit slower.
@hunttis you go all the way back to the beginning of the game? I know the character marker does because I ran out of time to place it on the most recent beaten level. *shrug* it's a great idea and would improve the level selection screen a lot! :D
I played this for a VERY long time trying to solve all the puzzles. After hours of working on it i became stumped. I needed a clue. I started going through the solutions to see what part of the puzzle I had missed. I missed showing the photo to the bartender! After that one hint, I was able to finish the rest of the game unaided! Cool stuff. It's impressive that this was done in 48 hours. The only thing that was kinda annoying was the flickering and not being able to click on things. (where the player wouldn't exactly stand but wiggle back and forth in place) I noticed the 'stain' area with an eyeball on the death bed and linked the code with the other bed in my head as to that being the reason the eyeball shows up on it, but doesn't do anything. :-) Great stuff!

Controls were odd. Game was pretty. Got the mining aspect pretty fast. Had difficulty doing anything very fast. Lost first game, but won the second. Those towers and gems were spot on. The ui menus were difficult to activate, but activate them I did!
I thought it was a nice simple and interesting game. The fact that there was no limitation was my fav part. :D regardless of the laggyness when you'd have lots and lots of them metal piling up. :-) pretty easy to figure out what was going on. Loved the cutscenes. Nice and snappy.
I was surprised at the use of the theme in this game. I really liked the ugly text at the beginning, the twist on the science of nothing. The use of nothing being something but still nothing and that nothing being important on how nothing it was. Congrats on pulling this game together out of nothing because you not only started with nothing you made a game about nothing starting with nothing with nothing to go on about nothing. So this review is probably nothing to talk about about nothing to start with. :D
This game is so DEEP. The reality of mining and taking your timing really comes into play here. I felt like a real miner and waiting for things and getting out of debt was ... uh ... AAAAAAAAAAAa not only Did I start with nothing, I started with less than nothing!!
heheheh I like the flat color gradients, the simple tricks for doing things, and the encouraging dialog. The movement was frustrating at times, especially respawning at the beginning of the level when falling off. I beat it. heheheh. Be like the R2D2H5321 or something. ;-)
This game was really neat. I liked it because it was different. I've never played a side scrolling capture nests as a bird game. :D Really neat stuff. :bird: The sound effects were a bit jarring at times, maybe something with the audio variences, but I wasn't sure. The style and look evokes decent mood, and the enemies swooping on you gave me a bit of anxiety. Nice!
I played this far longer than I probably should have discovering all the intricacies on my own. I believe you landed the theme right on. I looked at that tiny box and went, really? This oh no he didn't. There's no way he's going to start the game with this tiny box. And then so it was. I spent quite a bit too long just finding out that you could change the color and delete all the balls. I wondered if the screen would go back if all the balls were gone. But then i realized that once it was stretched it never went back. :D loved the color changing red balls. I deleted all the black ones to put in the color changing red to black ones. The guitar riff was great! (i believe i heard the underground mario theme in there somewhere ;-) )

i got it. The best thing of all times was the ability to take from the dead and arm your ship. It would have been nice to have the same buttons used for shooting the side that you are shooting as the same button as the one to pick which wing to arm it on. Just would have been easier i think mentally. This game feels a bit like asteroids but without the asteroids, that kind of rotational shooter, but slower and not so fast. :-)

The invisible level was the hardest. The gravity fed player on some levels was also really really hard! I died on one level and had some afterlife flashbacks from all the crazy colors changing on the screen. :D
I feel like i did all the things in this game. :-) I thought the graphics were nice, the feel of the game took a bit to get used to; the slowing down to make tighter turns but throwing yourself into a bit more risk to make tight turns was interesting. I found it difficult to collect the red dragons, most of the time dying to their death fire rays of death. The frogs i collected a million frogs and found that they don't stack but you just refresh your potion when the other runs out to maximize efficiency. What's coolest most of all and kinda surprising was the audio soundtrack and effects. They were very pleasant. Thanks!
duuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuude. The slime is genius. I loved discovering it. I wanted the whole thing to be about the slime. I detested and still detest the platforming and the spikes. The platforming wouldn't be so bad if you didn't have to start back at the beginning the whole time. It was really neat and a solid mechanic that can be totally explored in a variety of ways! excellent entry.
I got over 1000 points before I had to just stop. LoL on the console still being in the published game. I believe if you change the setting to "release" instead of "debug" it will remove the console. But I"m not sure what system you are using to build it, but that works when I do it in visual studio. I thought it was a nice game. Even cramped up my hand a bit when them big horse flies appeared. The pots just kept on coming and I kept on fighting off those bugs. :D
:O i played this game because i thought it was going to be just another game with such an uncreative title like "keep it alive", who does that? I also didn't appreciate the harsh talk at the beginning, it was so mean to me as a faithful train worker, you know? But, once those initial things were out of the way, the game didn't insult me anymore. It delivered and it was a train ride! What a unique idea and a double take on the theme! Outstanding stuff. great work. Really enjoyed this one.
The initial concept is brilliant. I thought for sure i was going to be adding water to the thing as it spun and sprayed the water out of the container to try and balance the two while juggling something else. Nope, it was an amazing array of tasks, i even let the roaches go through with their plan to see what they'd do and they did what i didn't want. ;-) hiding them in the fog was brilliant. The animations were clear, the puzzle for the bomb seemed hard but curious. :-) cool stuff.
LoL couldn't resist to see what you could do in the time alloted to you. From the right outset, it looks superb and no one can tell by looking at it that it isn't functioning well as a game. The mechanic feels about right and you gave the player all the right things to stay alive. That little slowdown from the packs was just enough to make it out of the crazyiest spaces. :-)

Saweet, worked great that time. Got to play it. It was really funny. Not even sure how to approach thinking up something like that. Loved the radio references, found it pretty solid driving around, kept getting stopped by things in the road and turning was kinda hard at times. Found the pizzas to be hilarious but i couldn't find any way to roll down the window to 'throw a pizza out the window'. Beat it, great stuff!
Oh neat! I love all the PhilStrahl References. Always gets me. The audio seemed a bit loud for me, not sure if that's just me. I beat this one. It took me a couple strategic methods, but i found what worked best for me to get phil the coffee he desired. I was surprised how similar the get/fetch idea was to the one I did. Cool!

This was amazing. Such detail for such a pico game!!!! each phase was very carefully thought out and the act of stealing at the end was brilliant. xD What's funnnny is the meat thing. oh wow it was like a horror show. hahaha
I made it to the end! I think my favorite part of the game was the mechanic, the unreal sound and ambiance which was really fitting for the world we were in. The only thing i was hoping for would have been the drip, drip, drip sound in the caves. <3 The jagged band of graphics across the screen was all janky on my vision, weird effect, but *shrug* that's purely aesthetic.
i got a few of the puzzles. The one i failed was the one where it wasn't blocks you were clicking. it was cool, but i had no idea you were supposed to do that; now, that said ever after i was clicking everything on the screen until something happened. ;-)
The mechanics are solid, the bunnies cute, and i loved that there wasn't a time limit. :-) Beat'um all xD
nice. I like tankman Phil, felt solid. He was a good gunner. Made it through the game. Thought the end dropping stuff at the same time as wanting to defeat the big guy was really cool. I liked making it bigger. Would have been neat to see the big thing at the end shoot something at your tank. Felt a lot like missile command. :-)
Fun little game here. I almost massacred everyone, but the main one stayed alive. :-) I clicked on this because i saw lots of penguins and thought that seemed fun. :-)
I got all the upgrades, took me a while to figure out what to do, but i figured it out. There were a lot of things that would have helped though, like costs for upgrades, knowing when they've already been purchased. Not that i didn't figure that out just by clicking on things, but yeah. The fact that you go from mouse to keys and back to mouse can be difficult if you are not good at swapping. There was no way to restart from the loss screen, i just started the applet over again. :-)
Great work on this game. It feels cold. It feels like i'm going to freeze to death. Got my fires figured out. got my torches figured out. I didn't know for the longest time that you had to ACTUALLY CLICK THE OBJECTS WITH THE MOUSE. I thought it was just alt and then click the mouse like if i was next to them. Once that hurdle was passed i rolled right along and got to all the neat stuff. :-) xD
I got through this one. I'm getting better at figuring out your games/or whatever system it is that you are using to create these text adventures. I'm getting better at the commands and it wasn't as difficult to navigate around this time and pickup on important things to do and take/see etc. Lots of leeches too. wow! Nice. :-)
I got to play and lose. My tree burnt to a crisp! I also played and WON bruh-hahaha. I enjoyed the smooth look of the graphics, and the pleasant tunes. :D I thought the water mechanic was nice i had to not grab ALL the water bubbles because i would just murder my poor sapling. :-D The jumping felt a little too floating, maybe a bit more gravity, but i'm a terrible judge on this considering my own game with jumping is too airy too. xD Great work!
the dancing mechanic was neat and figuring out that you fall over if you move to fast, super cute. The hard part was sensitivity, they are excellent shots, no good way to hide, you wobble more than peek. :-) you had a lot of flashing lights, that might be an epilepsy thingy.

Arrrrrttttt! I thought about doing melee in my game. I think I need a lot more thinking about how to do it effectively xD. So thus firing some projectile until i can figure it out. I loved the snails, the powered dust, and the trails left by the snails. Indications when you were hurt, and such. :-) Nice.
I figured it out after i got to level 3, but level 3 didn't have any kind of departure and that must be where you stopped in the production. These games remind me of bulldozer. But what's interesting is you have everyone clumped together so movement is a mass and it's like a giant blob of flowing water. xD :D nice!
Fun little thingy. I was attracted by the fire. I loved the use of parallax scrolling. It really comes off nicely. The fighting mechanics were frustrating and if there wasn't a 'continue' i'd have died two hours from the end. I think the most difficult things were the dash, i kept dashing when i didn't want to, and if i did i'd miss the bears and fly past them and that was hard. Getting up to the air guys was a choice, and it didn't seem like it was obvious which bears/clouds and things were the ones who'd do the most damage. The mood is nice and the graphics and music fit nicely. Just need to know where to go after the fire!

But, the joy was discovering there was a way to move around and i improved my method quite a bit in moving around. Pretty cool stuff. Solid graphics and music, even the tune icons on the vinyls were amazing.
I managed to escape. The only thing i wasn't sure about was the reset anonomomennely thingy. I ended up thinking it retained your progress from one loop to the next. I loved the concept, fairly innovative with the massive loop to walk around in. Worked really well together. :D
my testla stock gone to waste was hilarious. Not sure what the UI was until i started getting shot. I thought it was a chainsaw that was on my screen that i was to manually chop people up with. Nice creative environment for your story as hyperloops are totlaly in the inventive phase at this time! :D Good first entry.
Really solid entry. Exciting, fun, interesting, nice take on the theme and then i got to room 3 or something with the tv's. There's too many things in this room that doesn't make sense and the odds of randomly guessing based on deduction scales out of control. The tv's have different sizes but that doesn't correlate, there are more colors than what you can pick on the keys so those don't correlate, if you are supposed to combine the number colors you see for Tertiary colors you see the colors don't match with the guesses. Some numbers have more than one valid color which negates that connection. There are numbers not on the wall, my guess was that they don't get a color. I'd be fine with that, but I want to figure it out so much. I had a hard time with the witness puzzles too, trying and then often coming back to see if i could deduce what the solution was over and over. I was hoping someone in this chat knew, but i haven't seen the answer to these puzzling issues with logic.

Bother i fell so many times in that room. i got shot a lot of times trying to get down into that room. i'd be soooooooo much more forgiving if you spawned in the room you died, but no you have to go back every single time to walk through 3-4 rooms just to fail again in a different way because there's nothing in the game that tells you where to walk. (trial by error) :O Things I liked: smooth transitions, levels feel like levels, sounds are quaint :) visuals do a great job of communicating to you. I liked the switch that you had to get to and realize you just had to start over to get it to work. :D

really endjoyed this. The jumping and the speed just felt really nice. IU personally don't care for screenshake and the clicking of the "c" button and the "d" button to move and jump at the same time was kinda awkward for me. Other htan those tiny things, this was fun. :D

honestly the audio is like the absolute best thing ever in this game. I enjoyed it so much. <3 :D i felt like i was the greatest herder ever. The issue was i wasn't sure how i went from one season to the next.

this was pretty funny. I was trying to figure out why i'm a pie out side running around. It was a bit motionsicky, but we survived. I was unable to beat the last level though. My kids thought this game was pretty funny.
Everything is nice, sound, visuals, user experience, except it didn't have a game mechanic. I was trying to sabotage my space satellites to only have ones that would destroy earth and have free internet. :-)

@glcoder you can change the controls of the game to keyboard, mouse, or joystick by pressing ESC and manually changing them. :-)

I think the hardest thing for me was i was unsure how risky it was to go onto the next battle and how likely it was for my very young men to be deleted. Also, waiting for the dungeon to go back down to a safer level was tedious. :-) Neat things were the upgrade system, the loots. :-)
I have conquered the game! ah hahahaha i saved somebody at the end. :-) I liked the crt graphical feel to the game. The clear communication of the puzzles and the interesting mechanic of investing early beans to make later bean requirement or forgiveness beans a reality. I appreciated it. didn't care for back to start respawns, but *shrug* i managed regardless. :)

Wow. This game was SO funny. My boys thought this was one of the funniest things they've ever seen. We did manage to get a couple of checkpoints after ripping our bodies apart a lot. xD Really really neat job here!
This game is so odd it's cool. It's just so bizzare! hahaha you turn into a box (at least that's what it felt like) after reading the intro once i finished the game(i think, i found something pretty creepy down there) then i understood that I was being sucked into the boxes. The one section with the "ID" i had to brute force the lock to solve it. I wasn't sure if i missed the "id" code or not. :-) allnall neat entry. :-)
Wow. What an interesting idea. the name is quite fitting, for some reason. I almost felt the chains wrapping around me and pulling me down. Strangely enough, the alphabet category was my best one. :-)

Wonderful little top down shooter you have here. The guns were easily op, but who cares! That was fun. :-) i preffered the shotgun over all the other weapons. Just like realm of the mad god and other close up shooters, it's always generally frustrating to always be shooting things offscreen, but i enjoyed like all this stuff. THe sounds, the music, the boss, the drops. Neat stuff. Funnnnzzz
Audio, graphics, and feel of the game are all so nice. :-) a little fast on the left and right in the sense that i felt like i had a huuuuuge butt smashing into everything. xD Torpedoes were cool till i got barbaqued by electric exploding eels. got to about 508. Others seem to have gotten a lot further down!! Liked how it got darker and darker the further you went.

Ok I'm going to go through my experience after losing the first time. Then doing it again. hehehe
first, i had to figure out how to beat this very low output of bananas. It's horribly grueling slow in order to harvest enough bananas. By themselves the miners do not give enough bananas to justify the oil cost. Immediately it has to be trimmed down to be profitible, but it's so marginally close to make another one that there isn't enough time to be able to make it to the end. Until i broke the game. Once i broke the game it still took 2 hours to beat this sucker. xD YES.! Very interesting stuff. If you try to add more bananas than you have into your truck, you get the full amount. Wow! Got through everything fairly well. The only part i had trouble was searching for a vial. I think my problem was i know what a vial is and couldn't find one. It took me a while to figure out that it was simply a container that was needed. xD One that was already used!! ah hahahahaha nice mooooody feel, rooms and graphics were on par and great for an LD entry. :-)

Simple yet effective drawings conveying the slumber water born sleep walking bubbles of the little Cthulhu child. Felt like it was going very long time. I was about to fall asleep and then i fell to the bottom. I made it!heheheh
Graphics are superbulicious. It looks so pro. Couldn't see the bottom row unless i moved the camera down. I beat it on my second try on a hunch that sight was the bad thing on normal mode. I was right. It was much easier without that vision. xD Nice stuff!
Super fun game. i got tolike 34 and was testing out whether you could interact physically with the wizards. Seemed like it was great, but then... he plastedme with a spell and i insta died. Some hesitation on engine dropping frames from time to time was annoying, but enjoyed it!
Wow, nice little graphics. Loved the ability to fly. Ran into a major stint of not finding any ores. would have liked to see some indication of where things might be, maybe if i'm getting too close or the drill hits a level that one is on. :-)

This is a great game. Just, great! Good puzzles, good sound, good visuals, not too hard, but hard enough to have to retry many levels. We loved the fire graphics and the take on the theme. :)
Wow, so much going on here. For people having problems with the download, i had a couple browsers eat the download when i was at other places. Fixed it by right clicking the download and opening the file in a private browser or incognito mode. The jar should work with the latest install of java. I have gotten mixed results with the exe launcher. Sorry about the deployment mess, it's the first time i've done it! Thanks for playing, those that could!

I think i won. hee hee. I enjoy these. At first i'm always, oh no, how long is this going to take me to do; but it's always worth it to dive in and attempt to solve these clever balance games. Keeping that instabliltiy meter down as low as possible was quite a challenge for me. I lost many times before i figured out how to maintain the community better. :)
neat little game here. Music quaint and lively, graphics fun, building awkward and tedious, but delightfully unexpected at the same time. So high, so high above me. xD
My kids and i loved this game. Super cool. Just... not able to win? Best we got was 3/4 of the way there. We often found no ways to counter-act the impressive changes that happened on random encounters. Most of of the time the best we could hope for was no change after an inciting event. The start seemed to have different stats too, we wanted the 0 change stat! xD
Strong graphics, decent sound, the random generated terrain was my favorite part. The look and feel was really nice. The Random generation made me win at times and lose at others. I knew that if i kept going i'd get a good roll and the metal bulls wouldn't have a chance. And so it was. I win! roll out the bottles!
ENJOYED. that was fun. I like that i was trying to get chains and keep that multiplyer going and just had so much difficulty controlling it. ... that's the point! Fun and neat entry. Liked the music too!
Great visual hunt in peck reading experience. I didn't know much about van goh. it was nice to see and read and see the pictures in pictures that were done and art as a form of expression meeting the needs of both the artist and those that view such works. :-)

Wow. STUNNING visuals. Great sound. Awesome atmosphere and build. I felt like i was on a space station and it just was incredible. Game-play and humor were less, but that's not necessarily what this game was about. It was full of mystery and intrigue and that fire really startled me because fires are very dangerous in space! xD Great entry!!
ok. My kids and i enjoyed the atomosphere till the ghosts got us. Then it was very difficult to figure out the puzzle because you could solve the first one without the key hit given at the beginning of the game. The ghosts were very scary, the lighting extreme, and the blocks and jumping forgiving once we figured that part out. THEME ON. you got the theme for sure. There was a moment at the beginning where i loved it. That's great! Then it got a little ... tedious where i had to do the same things over and over again. It's hard to describe, but i liked the measure of control over where i was landing. Then i tried to fail and boy did i die quickly. Nice work with the rockets the swirling stars and the custom meter. That seemed hard! xD

Steve, you know he was really into corregated, but i said i'm more of a paper guy myself. lol fun lines. Aestetic is spot on. The fire fits the theme. Lack of control though really hurts. I tried herding all the little people together so i could keep them safe, but that just makes it more likely to die and spread faster. If there was a herd bonus, haha. Level felt really neat. music yeah! Sound effects and voice overs were great! nothing felt clanky. Just the randomness and lack of doing things that helped you delay the inevitable was the biggest thing for me that i wanted to do. Otherwise super cool stuff going on.
This game felt very real. I also had a real simpsons vibe while playing the game. (not sure you were going for that art style, i just couldn't help feeling that way while playing it) This is so incredibly relatable because work really is like this! xD Gj you two
trickery!.png I'm not sure what's going on here, but I figured out that it takes 10 pulses of water from my fire truck or water truck (whatever it is) before it puts out one fire spot. Then as i put out all the fire spots, i realized that there is trickery a foot. You see i managed to put out all the fires. But! alas. The burnt out areas count as fire tiles and they never stop burning. Thus my disappointment. and my realization that a farmer and this game don't go together very well. At this point I rage quit. Great game, except for the time it took to put out a fire (you empty 1/2 the truck for one fire) I suspect the bomb with water didn't help at all (or at least i didn't notice anything, it just made more fire) When i would click spacebar to use the water truck, it kept purchasing water. So i just evenutally held it down and that bypassed this oddity. :-)

i like the complexity of carrying things, the doors, switches, boxes, and neat mechanics of the game. The constantly dodgying the blue thing was tedious at times, especially on the very large waiting maze to get to the middle. By the middle of it i just wanted to do what the large blue ball god said.

There may not be much for humor or mood, (via sound/music) but there's always a fantastically written tale with interesting puzzles to tease and think about. I did much better this time and it only took me two run throughs to get the whole thing accomplished. I'm such a good spy! xD Fit the theme perfectly, great work.

I liked this. It fits the theme very well. The only issues i ran into playing the game was that when i switched to the tax collection sequences my mouse would often scroll out of the monitor and onto the other monitors, i'd click on those screens and it'd pull me out of the game. I didn't see any full screen options in order to fix it. It's neat! great take on the theme, i wanted the shotgun so badly, but was unable to because of the outside screen clicking on scroll. My guess is, if i only had one screen active, this wouldn't be an issue. :-)

got really far. Got to where you get a gold key and then the jumps seem to be too far away to finish and i'm not going to keep trying to time those two tiny blocks in keep with the one that is going up that doesn't stop to keep itself in timing with those two blocks below the gold keycard. (using the gold keycard area to jump over to the other blocks that seem too far to get to) Many things are amazing in this game, look, feel, astetic, humor, even a save state thing is neat. Then the platforming, oh man. oh my. oh dear. yeah, for some cool, for me less so. :D
--(edit, later)ok so i went back and found you can spiderman over the wall by the gold key and get to the door. So nice to have found that particular help. I didn't find the cake though. Still searching.

This game is awesome. Had so much fun. I just had a few issues with the web build, it kept crashing on me. So, i looked for another option. Found the windows build. Oh MAN the windows build is soooo much better. You get bigger graphics to enjoy the roaring forges, great miners, and my thor's-like hammer smashing everything forever to kingdom come! I got into the groove and saved up a bunch of time and launched myself all the way to doomsday! Great entry man!

I loved the little people. The game got really hard! I wasn't able to pass the one with three landing pads. Those little red cursors kept popping up and they are so small, move fast, and are very challenging to kill. All the while i'm expected to pick these little engineers from buildings i'm killing and save them. haha felt a lot like defender. :D

Took me awhile, but I got it. It's entries like these that make you wonder why it takes a while to play and rate games. ;-) nice job on the graphics and programming. Pretty much flawless with animations too! xD Simple concept, lots of levels. A harvest take on a classic puzzler.
I made a mess with my garden. It was crazy!! It was really weird watching all these plants interact with one another in crazy ways.

I'm always impressed by games that look this good over any of jam time we get! Cooool. I admit i really struggled and was defeated by the 2nd level. I just couldn't get that little nook to be important. Then when i watched the video that's all i needed to then beat all the levels once i realized the people would just march their way into a corner. lolz
This is a solid entry. Even the description is amusing. Gameplay is nice and the fact that i can put on a yellow hat as god mode is one of the goofiest things to come out of 2023. ;-) :D

That was very different kind of game. Higher innovation. Almost an rpg style click your own adventure game mixed with a little mouse clicking. :-)
well. I beat a few levels. The graphics are saweet! The color distinctions are great and I can readily tell apart the enemies from the rest of the level. Mazes are always hard and get very easily frustrating after awhile. :-)

Enjoyed how innovative it was for a variation on a common theme, like minesweeper. The planting was the neatest part. The blowing up of the plants would have been interesting, but i guess we can harvest them instead. xD

I found this extremely frustrating as to how to play this game. I must have done everything wrong.
I thought you were supposed to plant and throw things down the conveyor belt. I grabbed my seed packet (or i thought it was) and kept throwing it on the ground. Nothing. Grabbed the tools. Threw them on the soil. Not even a dent. Frustration builds.
I look at others. I look at the descriptions. I see that others have enjoyed this legendary game. I keep trying. I grab the frames as others have called them and chuck them around. Nothing seems to be working. I grab the item that looks like a little shovel and throw it at the ground. I finally discover you are to left click the shovel item thing at the ground. This ... is something! I can do something. I then look intently at the instructions. "Hoe > Plant seed > Water > Wait > Scythe > Put veggie in order box > put order box on conveyor belt" ok. got the hoe part. How do i plant seeds? I look everywhere. Where are the seeds? I grab the supposed seeds that keep coming onto the screen. They're pouches right? I try to plant them, i click them, i chuck them, nothings seems to be happening. I throw things down the conveyor belt. I eat all the tools. I constantly accidentally click off the screen causing a right click menu to appear. More frustration builds. How on earth did others plant these framed apples? There's got to be a way.
Eventually, after much time passing and lots of items and losses at 0 score, I finally figure out that the TINY little apple is actually some sort of infinite apple store!!! WOW! I had no idea. I thought that was what i was supposed to be getting and filling orders FOR. Once i accidentally picked up the apple box i found that it represented the seeds i was looking for. The game became maybe, just maybe i'll figure this out. let's try, yet again.
I hoed infinitely, planted the seeds, watered; man that well must have been insane to get water out of. I stood there forever gazing deeply at the Koi fishes and pennies down there as water slowly dripped into my thirsty bucket. The plants grew and i grabbed the harvest scythe eagerly and out popped actual apples for the first time. Ok. I have the apples. What do i do with them? I chucked them down the conveyor. Nothing changed. I chucked the frames down the pathway. The seed packets, nothing happened. I walked over to the frames and threw the apples at the frames. Why wont the frames take my apples. I threw the frames all over the farm in frustration. I took the pack of 3 apples i just harvested and gave them to the frame with a "1" on it and magically the apples disappeared from me holding them and a big "-2" appeared on the frame. EEUURREEKKAAA it's below zero I'M A GENIUS. I chucked the frame at the conveyor and finally i realized that the left click mechanic must be the gravity of all my problems this whole time and I grabbed the frame and left-clicked that thing and a wonderful little chime went off. My first order completed.!
Then the game was fun. I enjoyed the entire rest of the time. :D Great thing. Just understand that I had to get to that point. People playing my games will definitely feel this and this is something I will have to learn with time.

Crisp clean graphics! Movement! things to see, things to do! Clearly enemies are murdering my little cave miner. I figured out how to plant, but not to harvest No worries. I used that dynamite to kill all enemies!
This game looked very interesting. Nice shadows and animations. Not sure how to swing my really cool swythe, but i've never been good at reaping things anyway. :D :D:D:D:D
got to about 10. The nicest thing is the arccing physics that make the character fly through the air. It would have been sooo fine if it wasn't falling through the floor back to the beginning so often. xD
wow this game is so different than other games. It was so hard to get that water/temp/sun balance for the optimal growing! Being God is hard!
The orchard on fire really sold me that I should play this game. So play it i did. xD I felt like it was a ... um... what's that game called. ... heroband or gitar hero or rockband or somethign or other. That kind of game. :-) It was neat. I was woefully inept at completing your wonderfully coded game, but great work!
idk about everyone else but i was unable to see the orange sandy background once I actually got into the game. Not sure what it was, but that's how it was for me. I was able to find objects with my trusty metal detector though and that's what I came here to do. I'm RICH!
@antti-haavikko, Yes to all. I heartily agree with you. My implementation of the health and stamina bars were not fully fleshed out. I've never made them before and was so excited that i was able to make them in the first place. I got them both working quite well, but when attempting to integrate them i was unable to get those dogs to ping down the health bar in a meaningful way, nor the reduction of the stamina bar. I had to resort to the quick panic finish in the end. In the future I plan to utilize these things in a more formal game. Thanks for playing! :D

I am AWESOME. This game is sooo coooollll love the dragonsssss love the levelllll where do the paths go that run offscreeeeeen i'm dying to know. i beat this thing like first try and that is what makes this very accessible. Th early game balance is amazing and then the late game is loads of clicking. I was a clicking fiend. Ended up with balzillions of Nybbles. hee hee
Very Logistical. I couldn't even tell the difference between being in a truck on a postal delivery service and in the game. I felt like work again. Man. Good job. Graphics and solid mechanics. I was waiting for godzilla to burst through the wall and eat me at one point though. Was really peaceful and ... you know, sometimes that happens. ;-)

This was, hard. man. I'm not that great at these, but the mechanic that got me the most was jumping in the wrong direction. I liked it. nice game. Simple design, but nice on the gameplay. :D i thought the messages were neat too, i remember believing that upgrades went somewhere, but most of all the game was a SNAP!
Looks and feels really solid. Really got me on the double sided explosive category. I failed it alot but i found the game really fun graphically wise. xD yay!

nice little game here. I did alright. Great to see another java game hurray! :D :D :D I loved how the houses are on some sort of rocket booster because they start really moving fast! Either that or we're on a treadmill.
great bit of a game! haha oh my was collecting junk such a DRAG. and often times I would feel enlightened by getting involved with some metallic BOXES. The pew pewing and yeh-hawing and secret AMBUSH techinques got me for a bit. But, once i knew, ah HAHAHAHA i destroyed them all as they graciously exited the wormhole one by one, firing a misfire shot and dying to my amazing bullet firepower. :D nice
got a 9 out of 9 took me 209 tries or turns. I really enjoyed this one. I loved figuring out who needed what and chasing people down. The only thing i struggled with was remembering what people wanted to make their game ideas into. I couldn't think of what to ask them. :D Got it though! fun fun fun! :D
I can't believe this is a game. There's so much going on here! the menus, the levels, the desert, swamp, bridge art, crazy sound effects, npc's running around. It's so crazy to think that all this was made during the jam. great stuff! :D I prefer fighting jrpg's and encounters/exploration is always a delicate balance. what do i know? xD

I like the flying. The falling. The dropping of things. It all felt and worked really well. haha i thought the FAA was going to swoop in or something and blow up my drone, but i kind of hit an invisible wall put up by the FAA and my plane got so shocked by this phenomenon it froze up in fear and died. ;-)

reminds me of my first game that I made. I got to lvl6. Not sure how to recoil jump high enough to get over that ledge. The wall ledge blocking your jump and the lack of upward force and the very strong pull back down made that part. :D
I was not expecting to see a navy style signals game in the mix. Good job with the crazy idea and all the seagulls getting in my life. <3
I did it boys. I charged the batteries. Aside from the clunky controls and wap-a-tap-tap-tap on the keyboard; it was really cool! I like the simple crystals and it wasn't too difficult to figure out how to swap and fire and charge stuff. It was just impractical to guard the entire room. I basically chose 3 and kept them charged and under-pared the courses. Nice. :)

loved the rose directional for traveling. Made getting around nice and easy and intuitive. Kinda felt like no mans sky when he was describing looking up at a star, clicking on it, and going there. :-)

AHOY. i completed this. I was arranging things to where i would make LOADS of money and not have like, any, extra stuff. anyway. Fun stuff. I enjoys strategy games and this had just enough to try different things to see what would max out profits or to see if I could get away with putting things in odd places or arranging only women or only men or only luxury or only common, etc to see what would happen.
Tried to fly across on the first level, the energy runs out like @local-minimum has shown. Try to fly up from the bottom next to the [door/pipe]? thing and it runs out of energy like @local-minimum has shown. Not sure what to do.
Music is so awesome. :D woooo hoo i felt a bit trapped, almost like there was very limited space to move around. I'm suspicious of a theme relation here. ;-)

I killed myself a lot with all the random objects that kept spawning and summoning haha. The best was the random full health kill when i just tried to jump on top of a massive pile of generated things that hadn't 'quite' settled down yet causing my murder and instant surprise reaction. xD At least I made it to the school.
Wow. interesting map with little houses and a giant circle. I really gave it all my all. I just couldn't understand how a few statements made by little coffee shops explained which coffee to buy or which placements in the circle they would occupy. The math didn't let me understand how the numbers were to line up and the line about assembling using the first letters wasn't able to make it anything other than 'magic' but there wasn't enough money to make up the the letters hehehe. Maybe I just thought about it too much. nice work.

when i finally figured out that the mouse is where the flying skeletons went, it got a lot easier. xD they were just randomly flying around before that. hehehe that last level was pretty challenging too. xD they just kept congregating in the middle of the map and i had to skirt the edges until they would walk away from my beautiful dead skulls!

the game was really hard! I couldn't believe how difficult it was to lose your momentum the moment your body hits a wall or your hand graces a sign... xD Once I learned how to fly, however, the game became much easier to make it to the top. it was like stretching a rubber band!

@baturinsky I doubt the java version, as long as it's past 1.7, would be an issue. Not sure what would be causing the crashing. If you need more fairies, you run over the little mole hills that appear after a leg stomp to the ground. Originally you were supposed to sacrifice some fairies to get more fairies, but I ran out of time. :-)
There have been full screen issues, so I recommend not playing full screen.

2024-10-23 12_26_11-DucksOnTheRoad.jpg got all the ducks in the road. I was way off in my original idea as to as it looked as though we were to cross the road and the mom duck didn't want that to happen as she didn't want to get on the road.
Once i watched the howto it was like, oh. OH. i'm supposed to go there. Yeah i just jumped in and missed the howtos. haha
i got 500 points. Muah hahahahaha i can keep all the fish all teh way to one fish.

i'm stubborn when it comes to crazy controls for flight movement and gameplay. This is a lot of that. It's okay, but i personally am not a huge fan of these kind. The astethics in this game rule. Theme, feel, mood, music, animations, and general gameplay all seemed spot on!!

i wanted the sound of them blasting each other away to be loud and clear. Instead i had a great time commanding my troops and leading them to victory in silience. Sometimes they would get stuck and not fire. Sometimes they wouldn't shoot at all. Sometimes they wouldn't move forward. Most of the time I was victorious. Nice entry.

@andrewkennedy you can get the store if you don't die, but then you are probably to weak after that to not "die" i ran out of time to make the death scene one that said, "your ship is broke, but you are not...yet" or something like that. xD
@bangkerpow looks like an upgrade issue, definitely not a lot of testing with those since those were the things i was working on when the event ended. I'd try it but only picking the ones I reported are working. range, firerate, max health, and personal gun. It could be something else, but not sure!
it was all quiet in space. Everything felt amazing when I was on the ship. Figured out the weird pointing arrow was just a return arrow later, figured out that you had to click the button on the base, figured out that the first upgrade was only weapon. i felt stranded in space. I felt alone. It was so deep.

looked everywhere for a way to save everyone, but I couldn't get to the daughter's ship first; or it wouldn't let me pick her up first and then go to the survivors. I wanted to make sure she was safe before making it known to the survivors that there was a way off the planet. Granted they might have all been dead, but that's a sacrifice we were willing to make. The first choice was to save them all because families can be together forever someday.

nice moody depths generated levels that were different every time. neat stuff I tried many a times before i could beat it. took a bit and several restarts to figure out why the spells weren't casting. one of the persons commented it was no movement meant casting spells. derp a herp a derp. i got it now. xD

definitely one of the most different entries I've played. So many things to pick from and look at.
@endurion I'm not sure. The option was available to compile them for the different architectures, and the file size is cut in half comparatively.

My son played and got alittle further. He as 3 gems and like 7 coins. Got 115 of the cupcakes. Reminded me of alot of games that have bouncing left and right movement. I just had to barely tap the left and right the motion for movement felt very high. took forever to figure out I had multiple jumps in there.

Nice bit there. Not sure how to get to the 7 and having to circle around to it a lot made it drag on. :D It took me awhile just to figure out what to do in the very beginning. I didn't know what you have access to is on the bottom. :D
You know, i'm rather proud of this score. I think it's nice. I absolutely loved the defender feel to this game. I loved that it felt like the helicopter from the other jam that when you die you explode and fly in hilarious directions. This is a very solid representation of what you were going for. Nailed the theme. This was misery trying to get just right. We solved it! We got it! We are something ah hahahaha. :D

I had no idea how to do it and i really had to work hard to figure out that you can only do moves that actually get rid of blocks. I didn't see if There was a way to tell you if you can't make it. I enjoyed it nevertheless!
I enjoyed this game. I'd have loved for it to be happening at the same time (meaning there was one continous wave timer that you constantly got to decide which screen you wanted to be spending your time on. Should you be watching and upgrading your towers or being greedy while clicking away on that money coin? it spawns an interesting game because you can try to stretch it out but you can't really see how well your towers are doing, you just would have to switch and check it before going back to clicking. Idk, it was a nice entry because both portions of the game had a lot of content in it. The clicker one more than the tower D, but that's great! Things to do better on this concept? know when the wave will begin, know how much you've upgraded things(critical hit, freeze duration, etc) i had no idea how much i had raised the crit hit, etc. :-) I guess i could have watched the arrows till all they shot was red ones. xD thanks for the game.
I really enjoyed this. I was amazed at all the screens. It's always been my dream to do a freakish amount of screens, that i could be good enough at making levels to do something like this. It was a bit empty in the castles, but that's not the point. They were there. I totally failed my first run through since i ate everyone. Then i realized there was a lot more going on and it was much more intersting! good work.
This looked amazing. I think i had 11/12 cards, and the guy just let me leave. HA! i figured out the riddles. I thought that was really cool. :D thanks for making such a nice entry. Only thing i wish could have been better would have been a SPRINT button. Walking around very slow-like is annoying when you have to go all the way back to see if you missed anything (which i did). cool stuff man. cool stuff.

Sorry man, cant rate what i can't play. I couldn't figure out how to move the guy. I tried sliding the box and clicking places, clicking on him directly with both mouse buttons. I guess i'm missing something.
Sound effects were hilarious. It seemed fairly simple, i love that you can click all the keys. I felt like i had 26 cannons or something. Nothing was going to get past, and nothing did. Till i voluntarily jumped ship. Thanks for that mash up of typing with a typing game and typing numbers to shoot. I think i got all the typing right here.

Never seen a control tower management game. I was all in a flurry of trying to figure out what people needed. It was so much like my day job, i had feelings of famillllllliarity. Nice! :O or not? lol
The mechanics are neat. The feel is real. I wasn't able to figure out the buttons/switches without reading the comments section, but now that i can activate signals on other planets it made getting the outer rings possible. there's things that are really great about this game. And there are things that I didn't care for. It took me a while to figure out what to do. I was confused that some only needed 3 digits while others needed 4 or 5. Once I figured out you just needed to pick one of the signs I was good after that. Then it was, the same thing over and over? Seemed like it to me. nice job for a compo!

Decent audio! I've always wanted to test out panning on my sound making localized sound a part of the game. Haven't done that yet. Liked the moody feel and guidance by sound. Mazes are frustrating, dudes wanted to kill me, but touching them was a sound experience.
The art style is insanely good. I'm so surprised when it comes to groups making such neat things. Great work all! (i only had to reach for hints once, and that was I didn't know i was supposed to combine burnt match and paper. That was all! great stylish game.
I think I made it to the top. At times I had a difficult time knowing where to jump, but then I found positive clues at times that really helped, like the lights showing where the edges are so I knew where to jump to make the gap, THANK YOU FOR THAT DESIGNERS. Sometimes I just didn't know what was a ledge and what a was a light causing me to fall many times down. I figuring out how to kill things helped immensely. @aweskybear no, i couldn't take not being able to see what i'm doing, and the tiny tiny green dots that have to be targeted with 1x1 pixel size when the disappear the moment i shrink down the very thing i'm looking at it with wasn't fun for me. Others may like it, just not me.
So, I did what I like most and made it as big as possible and took as many cool pics as I could.
We got most of them. There were a lot of different variations to achieve something CLOSE but not correct and that was the most difficult thing for my son and I as we tried to link up the various settings. :-)
Neat game. Nailed it on like every point minus a few things.
Took me forever to figure out you click TAB for the inventory, you drag and drop the items onto the inventory bar and you use E to use the required items. E to pickup stuff outside with your robot. So cool and loved the sub vibes.
Great take on the signal idea. Loved the variety and the various rules for things to do. It's like I wasn't expecting it. The art seems pretty familiar. (my art seems to be similar) haha. Great work.
