Dodging past enemies was very satisfying.
Personally I would have preferred a quicker or more impactfull attack.

I really liked the concept and style.
It felt a bit lackluster gameplay-wise, but with more levels and more challenging button combinations this could be a great game.
That was fun.
My only complaint is, that the font on the tags was hard to read.
I would love to have an endless-mode with randomly generated tags and requests.
Excellent sound! The graphics and gameplay are also great, but for me the awesome sound effects are what really makes this game shine.
Very atmospheric and creepy. That soundeffect scared me soo much the first time I encountered an enemy.
I really like the style of your game. The graphics and music are nice. Like someone else has already mentioned a button to speed up the text would have been nice.
Could be due to my oldish PC, but the game was somewhat lagging.
Good job!
Overall I liked your game, but the music was annoying, so I had to mute it. And I didn't really use the camera/rotating of the planet, I found it most efficient to position the camera in a way that I can see all nations at the same time and then just kept it there.
What a cute game! It took me quite a while until till I figured out how to get to the good ending.
I wonder why those villagers are so angry
Congratulations for your first Ludum Dare, you did a good job.
On Windows spamming of the Shift-key (when you are building) triggers the "sticky keys" feature, which is a bit annoying.
Does the Rainbow Shield acctually do something? I bought it once, but couldn't tell if it did something special.
That's a cool game!
Here are some things I noticed while playing: + It's very easy to get stuck on corners or accidentally push boxes in an unintended manner (which probably has more to do with my skill, or the lack of thereof :joy: and not necessarily bad game design) + The music, while quite good at first, got annoying pretty fast + Giving the boxes and the exit an animation is a smart idea to make them visually stand out, despite everything being the same color
btw, how much training did it take to come up with that speed run?
Are there any disadvantages from only building residential areas?
Puhh, this is quite hard. I played till level 6, then I gave up. The only complaint I have is that sometimes you get a color for which you don't have any viable targets. This is even more frustrating when it happens multiple times in a row.

Otherwise it's a solid game.
I like the background music, did you make it yourself?
When you spam the spacebar near the booze? you can get both musics to play simultaneously.
Building a village was quite fun! I built so many houses, until one of the dudes started bugging out, poor little guy
Do the trees always give you exactly one sappling? I didn't pay too much attention to this detail, but I had the impression that the overall amount of trees always stayed the same while I played.
Is there a way to regain health?
That's pretty cool, especially considering you also had to work. I liked that you took the time to build in a few story elements.
Great game, I got to 3:23 but then I was too cocky and the dog got me... I agree that it would be very nice if you could look around freely, with the static camera you are not seeing the dog for most of the game.
I like your spin on the "Small World" theme.
My only complaint is that to me the controlls felt a bit difficult, I think this is due to not being able to control the directions while jumping (which is unrealistic, I know, but pretty common in platformers).
In the end it's a bit disappointing that you don't even get see the boat you built.
You need to activate the radar to see the asteroids. The monitor in the upper right tells which systems are active.
