Great. A nice thinker. Clever design.
Fun and the basic mechanics feel solid. Love the little particle effects.
Never seen this mechanic before. Great design and executed perfectly.
Nice graphics. Fun.
Super awesome sound effects. Fun too.
Thanks for the feedback. Unfortunately there was only 3 minutes remaining when I uploaded it. With a little more time, it could have started easy and got more difficult later.
Thanks for all the feedback and good luck to you!
Regarding the various bugs, the main excuse is time. During development I found a fundamental problem with the engine that would prevent it from working for the original, more complex idea. At 5pm on the last day, the game was in a hopeless state so I shifted (see what I did there?) focus to a simpler idea using the existing code. This is my third attempt at LD and only the first one that I've managed to finish on time so I'm happy just to get something entered.
There's a whiteboard full of additional mazes and puzzles waiting to be played. If everything goes as planned, this will become a full game.
Very clever. Love it.
Great brain buster. Fun concept. The levels are put together well, each one becoming more difficult. Well done.
Love the graphics.
Free at last! Love the idea and the character. Physics made it fun.
I won! Fun game. The controls and movement work surprisingly well even with the rotation.
Very difficult. Even my Asteroids experience couldn't help much. I suggest ramping up the difficulty more slowly.
Great job capturing the feel of a scared little kid. First time I've rated a Ludum Dare game 5 stars for mood.
"Please be really careful this time." They know me well. Sadly, I wrecked the place. Sorry to the dead and their surviving family members.
Maybe the sword should be to the right of the player at the start. At first I thought the E key wasn't working but I just didn't notice the doorway where the sword is.
Fun for a while then got repetitive. Great graphics for such short development time. This would be a good time/resource management game if there were more tasks to do.
Nice fast-paced shooter. Frustrating to be doing well and then have an enemy land on my head though. Overall a good game.
It was all going so well until my stacks collapsed like a row of dominoes. It's going to be a long day filling out all that paperwork.
Very confusing at first. Definitely original though.
It's pretty amazing the amount of work you finished in 48 hours. It could be improved with some puzzles beyond finding the parts. Otherwise an excellent entry.
Interesting idea. I wandered around and left a message for other players. Fun.
The first part looked so good I didn't think there'd be more to it. Nice work.
Good game. One suggestion is to grab pieces on the button down event rather than waiting until button up. I kept leaving the pieces behind by leaving too soon.
Me like. Me smash. Game good.
@max-cahill Disable your adblocker if you have one installed. Ran fine for me after I did that.
Great looking characters. I love the style and animation. Also a clever idea.
Oh, a rock. I'll just let go of the W key and.,. Oh crap it moves on it's own. Ok. I got this now. Oh crap the world is shrinking!
@dagegen Yeah, if I continue to develop this it should definitely do more to reward skill and reduce the luck required. Thanks for the feedback.
@richard-michael-smith Thanks.
@slowian Great ideas. Thanks!
@khorm Thanks. Glad you liked it! Much of the gameplay came together in the final two hours.
@gamepopper Good ideas. Glad you liked the planets. I found a tutorial on how to make them in Paint.Net. Only problem was making and saving 36 frames each.
@fiote Great. Glad you liked it!
@zorg Good ideas. I'm thinking of maybe adding walls for bounces and maybe putting a blackhole in some levels to influence the trajectory.
@daisy Thanks! It was an intentional design choice to make the background bright blue to represent the sky because the mini planets are invading Earth and are not in space.
@merrak Good idea. Thanks.
@jackyjjc Yes, that's a confirmed bug. It tests for collision in the wrong order. When the planet is going fast, it can overlap more than one target and sometimes the farthest collision is detected before the nearest. I wanted to fix that but didn't realize the problem until after the submission period had ended. :(
@bunnery Thanks! Glad you liked it!
@fixedgerald Personally I only care about getting to higher levels in this type of game but I now see people want a score too. Thanks for the feedback.
@namrog84 True.
@pcmaster Thanks!
@unidaystudio Thanks. I'm thinking maybe some sort of bonus or power up will do that in a future version.
@blaster391 Thanks. Good suggestion.
@ajayajayaj, @conrad123, @wati888
Thanks. I'm planning to adjust the planet selection or add walls or both to help with lack of reachable targets -- possibly some sort of power ups as well to help focus more on skill than luck.
@pandakipu Thanks!
@garethjenkins Thanks! I've always dreamed of making things people could click on and now that dream has come true.
Reminds me of the custom platformer maps people made for Team Fortress Classic. Good times. Fun. Excellent graphics too.
Fun game. Had to dust off my 2D platformer skills. If you continue with the game, maybe add more of a theme to the map.
Great work, especially for the time allowed and your inexperience with the tools! You have skills! I got all the colors and finished. One little glitch. If you enter and then exit full screen mode, the mouse cursor appears and you can no longer spin in a full 360.
Nice game with a retro feel.
Excellent sound effects. :)
Great job on your first game. The tractor beam energy limit makes it challenging while keeping it fun.
Fun. I had trouble getting any kind of momentum going but it's a good idea. Maybe we could get water back when the UFOs are shot down?
Help! How do you ask someone about a clue? Hovering over a clue brings up the same information no matter who you're speaking to. Is that what's supposed to happen or is there supposed to be a different pop-up for each person? Clicking the clue does nothing. Trying to drag to the conversation doesn't do anything either. I'm playing the web version.
I escaped! Weird and interesting mechanic but it worked. Good game.
Kind of difficult to control, although I guess that's the point. Otherwise a good game and fun physics.
Everyone died. Sad story. :(
Great use of lighting, both for gameplay and the look of the game. The controls are similar to an fps, which was a little awkward at first but became comfortable very quickly. Only downside is it crashed right after I died when the score window came up:

@jeremy-wolf web build in Chrome.
Fun but it's a little unfair when the 2 packages drop at exactly the same angle. You can't see one of them.
Much like life - eat, get fat, die. Fun looking design and graphics. The tumbling is a nice touch.
Original and surprisingly fun. There's something satisfying about throwing the pickaxe at the cart and causing it to release the gems. A few times I had to make a snap decision to sacrifice the pickaxe to avoid being hit by a stalactite, which added more pressure to the game. Well done overall.
@azure2s @jeremy-wolf @andreas-ragen-ayal To slow down, you rotate to the opposite direction and press forward. I probably should have put that in the instructions. The original asteroids had Rotate Left, Rotate Right, Thrust, Fire and Hyperspace buttons. Yes, controlling the speed is part of the challenge although it's not intended to be frustrating. A light touch definitely helps.
@azure2s There was supposed to be music playing on each level, not just 5. Don't know what happened there. Were you playing on a Mac?
The manager sure does get angry. One suggestion is the up/down arrows should continue going up/down the steps instead of having to switch to left and right.
A very original idea. Fits the theme perfectly. I gave up on level 5 when my hand fell off. Only criticism is many times items at the bottom of the pile move instead of those at the top.
Original idea and nice graphics. Never did make it to the top but my cat liked watching me play.
Great idea, love the graphics and it looks fun. Needs more instructions though. Why do the cats die even when there's food on the floor?
I was playing perfectly and then it all went horribly wrong! 720 points. Simple yet fun game. Great job.
The lose sound made me jump out of my seat! Love the reversal too.
More fast paced than games I usually play but fun.
This is really well done. I'm a huge fan of stealth games so it's great to see something like this in Ludum Dare. There's a lot going on with the weight limit, $$ requirement and platforming and it opens up many possibilities for tricky puzzles even in 2D. Great game.
