LD18 — Enemies as Weapons

Grandfather glasses by skalle 2010-08-23T06:12:00

Well I can see I got a little bit farther in your game than Meep and Daniel ;-) I got to the wolf
I like the idea but an introduction to what the different kinds of items do would do wonders. A life system would also enhance playability.

Mind Operated Control Device by EmptyFlash 2010-08-23T04:37:00

I really like the concept of the game. Haven't seen that before. What kills it for me though is that you shoot on ctrl and jump on space. That's not very good controls. Also some sort of continue or life system would have been good since you have to start the whole game over when you die.

Dr. Stein's Super Weapons VS Giant Robots by benjaminum 2010-08-23T04:53:00

Overall good concept but a way to control in which direction the repelled objects move would be great. Loved the 1337 speak :-D

All Peasants Must Die! by Birke 2010-08-31T06:19:00

Hi everyone thanks for the good responses. As moop says the pace of the game needs to be higher. I think some other background music would really help on that. There's also some bugs I'm not to proud of that need to be ironed out.
The 'paper cut out' animations that localcodes likes is actually the result of me not having the pro edition so I couldn't use movie textures! Instead I used Unity's build in animation tool to animate the scale and orientation of animated objects.

I am still working on the game. It is the first time I have created something that comes close to something that is playable. I have figured out that game jams are a nice way to be motivated to complete a game prototype and find it interesting to polish and make into a more finished product.

I will post a link in this thread and on the IRC channel when I have a new version up and running :-)

Wherein Obstacles [...] IN SPACE by Sam Driver 2010-08-23T05:01:00

Good game but the phase is too slow as Pokute says. I liked the 3D though

LD30 — Connected Worlds

Tribe of the Giant by MerlijnVH 2014-08-28T12:32:00

Looked amazing but did not control that well. Was the idea that you would lunge forward each time you clicked with the mouse? I think if you made the trigger zone for detecting when an enemy should be eaten bigger and lowered the spawn rate the game would be much more enjoyable.

Star Garden by OnlySlightly 2014-08-26T22:11:00

Being able to create a game that supports user generated content during a Jam is impressive! I'd add some more tools to create the drawings with. I had more fun creating my drawing than exploring due to the control issues other people have mentioned.

Colorshift by Andrew Adams 2014-08-30T18:44:00

Great core mechanic. A bit annoying that you used a perspective camera since it made it harder to judge the jumps.

On the edge of Earth: 5000 by Hypnohustla 2014-08-31T13:47:00

Cool little game. I would have liked it to be a bit more obvious what to do by providing more clear feedback to the player when doing something wrong like having the wrong distance or pitch put in. Visuals were great.

Data-Man by Hyoga-3D 2014-09-01T10:03:00

I quite enjoyed it but it lacked some challenge. Interesting look though. Could be cool to play on touch devices with swipe controls.

RED Thread by NickZangus 2014-08-26T22:42:00

Very pretty game! That small tilt of the camera when you switch characters is a nice touch. In the level with the many high platforms going up and down the controls felt a bit too imprecise and the jumping sound good a bit annoying. Otherwise really good job.

Connected Caves by Birke 2014-08-30T23:38:00

Thanks for the nice comments everyone. We are considering doing more with it at a later point. We want to make the cave generation more varied and also have hazards for the player. I have always loved the camera mechanic in Beyond Good and Evil so that would probably also make it into the game since it fits well with the exploration mechanic.

Connected Caves by Birke 2014-09-01T10:24:00

Ha I did not know about Noctis. It seems like non violent No Man's Sky, for DOS :P

Tall Tales by Spencer Alves 2014-08-27T22:58:00

Neat idea but really bugged. I could not even get to pick the helmet up even though I played the new build.

The Other Sky by Jishenaz 2014-08-26T22:02:00

Liked the look of the game. The jump sound was not very pleasant to listen to though. The shifting perspective mechanic is solid but it feels more like a visual gimmick than an actual mechanic when it happens at predetermined locations. If the player had control over when it would also lead to a more mental challenging experience.

Visiting the Mushrooms by Ryan Melmoth 2014-08-27T21:49:00

Great to see more procedural stuff! :) The jump could use some more gravity so you fall faster when you reach the apex. Since you placed an emphasis on the dungeon I'd suggest spending some time on getting your generation to create more unique results. In general I liked the visuals though.

Arched Dimension by Tanser 2014-08-26T18:46:00

pros: really like the graphics and choice of music
cons: controls feels quite jerky. Annoying the attack automatically happens to the right

Chipset-0 by deepnight 2014-08-29T13:00:00

Very well done. Impressed with how many puzzles you got out of your mechanics. The most complete experience I have had so far from this LD's entries.

Planetary Marriage Counseling by WeaselZone 2014-09-01T11:49:00

I'm a magnificent beast! Loved this entry. To start with I think it was a bit too hard but when I discovered there was only one level I understood why you had made it that challenging.

Jessie and Jack by rnlf 2014-08-26T11:37:00

Quite good! Liked the core mechanics and the fact that you had to choose between carrying a key or a weapon. Movement was a bit floaty though

Parallel worlds by Druid 2014-08-31T13:30:00

The first puzzle was quite difficult to figure out since it's not really that logical that running to the right and hide behind the furniture would not just result in you getting shot in the back on your way there. Interesting concept though.

Expedition by holgk 2014-08-26T19:51:00

I got bored but it also took me a while to figure out how to use the connections. changing the connection notification to say "click on two planets to connect" would have been helpful. The ingame time could also go a lot faster

I Think I Broke Something by Otrora Games 2014-08-26T22:19:00

Quite good. For some reason I could not shoot to the right.

Jane Austen Versus Slug Lord by hexagore 2014-08-26T11:42:00

Had a bug where the monster ran past me once without triggering the end. Looks pretty though

Transceiver by AtsK 2014-08-26T20:37:00

Tried to run it but said it needed MSVCR120.dll. I'm on windows 7 ultimate

GRAVCOMM by doomista 2014-08-26T20:43:00

Quite fun. The font is really hard to read. Afterburner did not seem to do anything.

Nigel - Hero of the universe by ruerob 2014-08-26T07:49:00

I think the game could really use a tutorial. I find it very confusing. After having delivered pizza to two aliens (snake and ghost) it does not look like I can do anything else. Controls works pretty well.

This Little Piggy... by InfectionTeam 2014-08-26T19:05:00

Best entry I have played so far! As others have written really cool to explore the small spherical worlds. Only issue I had was that I could only get the enemy killed counter up to 9. I think I might have killed some of the pigs before the counter went active. Otherwise really good job. Now all I want it so grow potatoes on a small planet somewhere.

The Beginning by Nuclear Napalm 2014-08-26T19:38:00

SPOILERS I liked the mechanics a lot. You really got a lot of mileage of out them. I can't see however how they have to do with growing inside your mother's womb. Could you explain?

PLuTO by CoopNasty 2014-08-26T07:55:00

The art looks really good. Very hard to find more star pieces. If you kept rotating the camera movement was also a bit jerky.

Starpiercer by Schrodinger Games 2014-08-27T20:47:00

Very nice look and feel. The difficulty should rise as you play, right now it is very easy to play. Loved the animation and assembling of the ship

Dream Epoch (adventure / rpg) by Adam Thompson 2014-08-31T08:21:00

Looks good. It managed to create a good amount of atmosphere and mood. Reminded me of To The Moon with the text based dialogue and really nice piano music. Some feedback, the second camera angle is zoomed in too much so it is hard to navigate around. It is also quite confusing in general when the camera changes viewpoint. Maybe interpolating between the old and new position would be beneficial? The SmoothDamp functions in Unity would be good for that. In general the WASD control scheme seemed to work better than the mouse since it did not change direction after a camera shift.

Intranet by bluemaroo3 2014-08-27T19:43:00

The site kept crashing Chrome so I did not give it a second playthrough but I liked the experience. The delay between text delivery was a nice touch but I would have prefered it to be a bit shorter.

Skewer World by tatmos 2014-08-27T22:23:00

Interesting experience, not that great game I have to say. Giving a score for a game that is so random and where player input has so little to say does not really work.

Connected Worlds: Filllight by FurtherForm 2014-08-26T20:14:00

I'll echo what others have said. Amazing art, not so amazing controls. It feels like there's too much friction on the player and that it takes too long to reach your top speed. In general too much momentum.

Driver's License by Sanguine 2014-08-26T22:33:00

Of all the entries I have tried this has the most innovative mechanics so far! Good work!

Ghostly Worlds by josh1billion 2014-08-27T22:18:00

Fun little game. I got stuck on one of the rocks though.

Let's be friends! (But some will die) by RFMTeam 2014-08-26T20:21:00

So far the most adorable entry I have played. I could not figure out how to stack the small buggers though but damn they are charming!

Polar Dash by Cheesefork 2014-08-27T22:29:00

Very pretty aesthetics and fluid animation. Mechanic is nothing new.

Killbot's Last Adventure by udo 2014-08-27T22:40:00

Waaaay too much text at the start. The game looked quite pretty though but could have used a tutorial. I'd suggest you do some more playtesting during the jam to fix those sort of issues. Also the browser related ones. Music was good

LD32 — An Unconventional Weapon

Trigonoweapon by myachin 2015-04-20T02:22:00

Very well made game. I can't really find anything to criticize about it. The music really suited the way you interacted with the game since you had to alternate your direction. I started doing it to the beat!

Functor by Enneract 2015-04-23T14:32:00

A lot of innovation going on here and the presentation is excellent. I had a difficult time understanding what I had to do to destroy the towers though so a tutorial that makes sure you understand that concept would be a good thing to add.

Duck Attack by ehtd 2015-04-20T04:16:00

Duck Power! Great game, lovely art, good quacks.

Downbeat by AgentParsec 2015-04-20T03:00:00

Novel idea but I would remove the center (or do nothing) direction. It was quite confusing to figure out it meant to not press anything and was hard to time to get right. I would suggest to also place the arrows as an overlay on the actual game so you can keep your eyes both on the notes you need to match and the enemies you need to flee from.

Mortal Coil by CogComp 2015-04-20T01:53:00

Music and scope of the game is impressive but it is very easy to break the level with the attraction power. I agree that the jump could use some work. You should look into using AnimationCurves to control how much force you apply to your character over the duration of the jump

Hugline Miami by Figglewatts 2015-04-21T22:44:00

Well made but not the most original of mechanics. I don't think the game should be in isometric perspective either since it does not fit the gameplay. There's a reason the original Hotline Miami is seen from above because it leaves no areas that are not visible.

Saber Disk by Neonlare 2015-04-20T03:17:00

The game with the most well made aesthetic I have played so far both when it comes to the visuals and audio. The camera perspective made it really hard to play since it was difficult to determine what was going on and where you needed to be in order to hit the enemies. Props for the mad retro feel though

Get Off My Land by GarethIW 2015-04-22T11:59:00

I could not get the webplayer to run in Firefox on Windows 8.1

Star Driller Ultra by Omiya Games 2015-04-20T04:12:00

Wow very pretty game. A bit hard to tell what is going on from time to time and it feels like using the arrow keys is not really necessary since you can just switch targets to avoid projectiles but overall solid entry. It would have been nice if the menus was navigated with the keyboard since that's what the game is being controlled with.

(mental)fairy by 0x0961h 2015-04-20T10:22:00

The game looks good but its quite boring you can just stand in the centre lane for most of the game. It would be better if the waves were designed so you would have to move around some more.

Space Boy by Hyoga-3D 2015-04-20T11:53:00

I liked it. The graphics are good and mapping the game onto a spherical surface makes it stand out. The problem with mapping it to a sphere is that it is difficult to determine where your shots will go so maybe use mouse to aim and then get the direction you should shoot in by doing a raycast onto the sphere would work better.

When Diplomacy Fails by CivvyThePandaTM 2015-04-20T12:27:00

In the intro scene I'd place the blinking text in the middle of the screen. Took me a moment to figure out the dialogue would take place in both text boxes. You should also only have one use button. Shots needs to be more visible as well.

Disco Icecave Laser Death Tag by Birke 2015-04-20T02:55:00

Jeah the use of the theme is pretty nonexistent. At first I wanted to make a game about a viking shouting down spikes from a cave ceiling to crush enemies but decided the ricocheting laser shots would be more fun to code and play.

Disco Icecave Laser Death Tag by Birke 2015-04-21T14:38:00

Thanks for the feedback everyone! Jeah the player movement needs to be tighter and not so physics based as it is now. The number of enemies is also quite random from playthrough to playthrough so that's another thing I'll look into fixing at a later point. I am thinking there should also be more of an incentive to shot enemies yourself instead of just dodging them.

Super Dash by FireSlash 2015-04-20T02:42:00

Neat mechanic. The sound effects and the music are pretty gruelling though.

Bazooka Vespa: The Tri-Miniguns by Crawler Studios 2015-04-20T02:29:00

The sense of speed was good but turning felt like tank controls which you don't expect from a motor bike. The enemies did not shoot me so I take it that feature did not make it in?

The Great Shooting by holgk 2015-04-20T11:09:00

I could not figure out how to place the scripts in the casting office so was not able to progress from that point on

SLICK LICKER by KodingNights 2015-04-21T14:35:00

It was difficult to understand what was going on. Would have been better to have fever mechanics (removing the concept of armo for example). There's a good game in there but it is buried under a lot of unnecessary complexity. The music loop should also have been longer.

Wee Pon by DarkMeatGames 2015-04-20T02:48:00

Nice little game. Liked the death animation. Could have used some music though. The game feels a bit empty without it.

The War Dog by Xinelu 2015-04-20T03:25:00

I liked the idea but I think it is a shame you told what was the good and bad ending. Could have been even more deep if you actually gave some reasons for choosing either of the options such as texts that hinted to loyalty for example. Music fitted the game really well though.

Flail Rider by jushii 2015-04-23T11:33:00

Great game! It does not work so well that you have to press two different keys for respawning and starting the game since it breaks the sense of flow flow you have going on. Use the same key for both or better yet just let the player restart the game with one button press after they have died.

Soundwave by Maxr00 2015-04-20T04:23:00

The artwork is good but not an original mechanic. I could not hear any sound so maybe there's a problem with your WebGL build?

SHiFT by Fanttum 2015-04-20T03:32:00

Not an original mechanic but well made. The music was pretty good and the animation on the dude was good. Not much connected to the theme though.

Beermageddon by error031 2015-04-20T03:54:00

a bit of a wall of text before the game started but once it got going it was a fun experience. Could provide more of a challenge though from the guys chasing you. Some sound effects would be good too.

The Guardian by Bastienre4 2015-04-20T14:52:00

Really good aesthetic. I got quite attached to the little guy as well specially given the ending. A shame you get reset to the start of the game when you die.

Soul Of The Forest by Multiplexor 2015-04-20T03:11:00

Good controls and nice looking particle system on the guy you control. I would have liked to move a bit faster. The enemies were well designed as well. I would have liked to be able to skip the intro cutscene. Not really in the mood for that at 4am in the morning ;)

The Tale Of Aldis by HenryBell 2015-04-20T04:04:00

Lovely game and solid mechanic. You should make a web build of it as well.

Mario and the Poetry by gruhn 2015-04-21T22:38:00

I liked the presentation of the game, starting in all the white text and then being given the option of choosing the language. It is quite difficult to use the poetry effectively since the "cured" guys block your path. As others have said its weird to have to click on poetry to read it.

Space Negotiator! by morgondag 2015-04-20T11:02:00

The game made me chuckle a few times and the voice generator you used works really well. Well done

Nuke Whaling by Homletmoo 2015-04-20T01:58:00

I really like the silliness of the game and the art is great together with the music. The controls could use some more work though.

LD33 — You are the Monster

Run Fonster, Run! by Larzan 2015-08-24T17:02:00

Enjoyed the description at the start. Camera and enemy movement could use some work though. It is always important to be able to see ahead in top down games and your camera follows behind the player making it very easy to step into an unseen enemy's cone of visibility

Beagle by salmonmoose 2015-08-24T02:20:00

It was fun to get the dog to wag it's tail but it came out of the blue what the game was actually about. Maybe it would have worked better if the dog gradually got worse on the pictures or something. At the end I did not really feel like a monster because roleplaying as the dog had not really made it's situation worse

A Crown of My Own by graebor 2015-08-24T22:31:00

Intro transition was really lovely and the art is very nice. Would be good if you could go left and right with the arrow and AD keys since it would be more convenient. I'd like it if you picked items up just by clicking on them. After I got the crown and had talked to the human king I could not figure out what to do. Liked the implication that something was lurking around in the forest other than myself though based on all the meat, bones and skulls you could find. Having crafting mechanics in a point and click game was also pretty cute.

Unwelcome Presence by Hemuuuli 2015-08-24T22:37:00

Looks good and atmospheric. Could really use some footsteps and the player character felt a bit floaty. Also difficult to grasp when you landed a hit on an enemy.

Primary objective by Aurel Bílý 2015-08-24T17:13:00

Really like the art style. Would have preferred if the dialogue only forwarded when I clicked instead of doing it automatically.

Sticky-me by Fonserbc 2015-08-25T09:12:00

It's a good concept but he often got stuck (jeah that's a pun) when he shouldn't and it prevented me from progressing beyond level 2.

ENTROPY by ENDESGA 2015-08-24T21:17:00

Very atmospheric and brilliant aesthetic. I had hoped for more of an ending though. Also not sure how much I like you use an LD game as a plug for the game you are currently developing but it is also a bit clever. It would be bad if it became a general trend for developers to do that but at the same time it does make sense since you have placed them in the same story line.

Totem by Ian MacLarty 2015-08-24T22:55:00

Really like the art and mood. The music should have been a bit lower or sound effects a bit louder. Butt stomp attack was pretty fun. The animation of the stone giant felt really satisfying. You could really feel each step.

Time Spill by Chronodrax 2015-08-24T02:36:00

Very original input scheme! The art and music is also nice. Level was a bit hard to get around in.

Chrome version fails to launch with a javascript exception pop up

The Creature from East Second Street by emmelineprufrock 2015-08-24T01:32:00

Fun little game. The only complaint I have was that the captions should have stayed on the screen for a lot longer. A couple of seconds is not enough to make a decision before the thumbnails appears at the end of the video.

Super Sea Serpent Simulator by CosmicAdventureSquad 2015-08-24T14:20:00

Good entry. Love the water effect and the overall handcrafted art style. The tail could have used some more work though. It did not feel as something that was flowing after you but as a chain you where dragging after you.

A Bad Wolf King is Hard to Feed by McFunkypants 2015-08-27T07:42:00

Very nice looking game and great audio as well. It seems like the camera right now is parented directly to the player character which can make for a bit of a bumpy ride. I'd suggest you use something like the SmoothDamp function in Unity to create a smooth camera follow solution.

Evolution by sapermysz 2015-08-24T10:09:00

I can't seem to shoot the suicide enemies. An in game tutorial would have been nice as well. Why don't you shoot with the left mouse button?

Monster Date by Lady Beardo 2015-08-25T07:55:00

I enjoyed the writing. The music is repetitive.

What Have I Become? by Birke 2015-08-24T07:46:00

@DavidErosa Whops! You are right! Thanks for pointing that out. It is fixed now :)

What Have I Become? by Birke 2015-08-24T22:39:00

@Blobo that was on purpose but on the two island level it does look a bit weird. Decided to leave it in though since it took a surprising amount of effort to make the whole thing look glitchy enough

Help! It's a hero! by cvaneseltine 2015-08-24T02:12:00

Qute concept (yes I went for cuteness!) I think the game is missing some challenge though and it appeared that it does not really matter which strategy you ultimately choose.

Hop's Hope by OldPeculier 2015-08-24T13:42:00

Nice little experience. I liked the changing color scheme and the music a lot. A bit more control in the air during jumps would be nice and it could also be a bit more snappy in the pacing.

V8000 AD by DanteDouglas 2015-08-27T16:23:00

Very nice art and sound design. I had to read the comments here before I got you had to destroy the other cars to get fuel so it would be good if you provided some feedback on that. A nice reward sound or something for example.

Hero Mate by Lancelot Gao 2015-09-01T09:39:00

Good art and gameplay. It was a bit difficult to figure out where to stand and movement of the monsters felt a bit sluggish. A reset button on the keyboard would have been nice since you sometimes had to wait for quite a while for the hero to drop down in order to play again.

Moonlight by amy742 2015-08-24T21:01:00

Good game. It would be nice if it was easier to see which thing you would be attacked with next. Having the controls explained in game would also be nice

Intergalactic Love Machine by Slothmachine 2015-08-25T22:39:00

Hilarious game. I think the life system did not really serve a purpose though. It might be better if you could just try out all the answers without having to start over

Adula by conormn 2015-08-24T02:13:00

Lovely art. Captions could have been a lot bigger though. To start with I did not realise they were there in the first place. I like the horizontal format of the game as well. Would have been nice if there had been more decisions to make as well

Lady Bug by dickpoelen 2015-08-26T16:43:00

Controls felt great, art and sound effects were good. My only source of complaint is that it was hard to figure out how to best deal with the pistol wielding dudes. I'd suggest make the shots they fire slower and make the interval between shots bigger.

PokEscape: Magicrap's Stealthy Journey for Survival & Gyrodeuce by Tuism 2015-08-24T20:57:00

The presentation was good but I found it quite difficult to figure out how to best deal with the trainers. Seemed like running fast was the best option but then you also had to look out for keeping your food level up which often conflicted

Lying in Wait by whalebot 2015-08-24T02:43:00

That's not a monster simulator, that's how you get through Ludum Dare! :D Really liked the game. Good art and nice polish effects. It should have been shorter though since there was not a lot of different actions to take so it quickly became a bit repetitive. Also giving the player an incentive to use all the different interactions would be a good idea

Executioner by TheZiggy 2015-08-24T02:26:00

I liked the concept but it would be nice with a bit more flexibility in your choices. It would also be nice to have a more in depth case presented to you. As it is you can't really make a decision without having any evidence presented. Maybe that's the joke though

Razed by kewleus 2015-08-24T10:04:00

Nice mechanic. A little bit too hard to dodge bullets when on planets and it took too long to get away from the ground to be able to dodge the bullets that way.

Grave by uheartbeast 2015-08-25T07:50:00

Feels good to play and the art and animation is really awesome. Wish I could jump. Don't know what I would use it for but it feels like it should be there. Had 36 kills

PONY! by Phil Strahl 2015-08-24T21:56:00

Fun! Presentation is good and premise is hilarious. I'd wish it had some more challenge to it. I think you should finish it. There's a great little game here if you just make it more difficult to win.

Play by ChaosCult 2015-08-25T09:07:00

One of the best games I have played in terms of mood. Very cute and relaxing. Nice take on the theme too. The difficulty could have ramped up a bit more towards the end and it would have been nice to have a proper ending to the game as well. Other than that good job!

Shi by toni343 2015-08-24T21:59:00

Liked the art and the mechanics are good. It was just not difficult enough

Imperial Accountant by Ilseroth 2015-08-24T02:52:00

Rendered in the webplayer just fine and it is indeed some nice shaders. I think the bottom level took a bit too long but the stealth mechanics on level 7 were fun. Good you could see the cone of visibility for the enemies.

The Old One by Chris Olsen 2015-08-27T16:50:00

Very nice looking and sounding game. Excellent use of colour and animation. I think it takes too long for the giant to wake up to start with. It would also be good if you got more feedback that shaking enemies of your causes the roof to collapse, maybe by having dust particles appear from the ceiling every time you activate the move. Other than that a very immersive experience, good job!

Power Lich by rattower 2015-08-24T02:13:00

Lovely low poly art and fun gameplay. It took me a while to figure out how to use the resurrect spell. I'd suggest placing the graves closer to the player to start with and also play a negative alert sound when it is used on an invalid location to make it clear to the player she is doing it wrong. Getting points for how many houses, peasants and knights you get would also give it some more replayability.

Cant i just stretch my neck peacefully ? by grynca 2015-08-25T07:59:00

Lovely set of mechanics. I think the game would be more fun to play if your laser recharged faster. Was great you could retract yourself to dodge missiles.

Snake Strike by steve 2015-08-27T12:58:00

I really liked the art style and the feel of controlling the snake. It would have been nice if the game had provided a challenge and some music or ambience would also have been good. Really impressed with the animation of the snake though.

Stay Angry by RovingSquid 2015-08-24T21:48:00

I think the idea with having the game take place on a cyllinder was quite novel. I would suggest moving the camera out a bit.

StoneWalker by Jamie Guillemette 2015-08-24T21:37:00

Game looks good but you walk way to slow or the distances between objectives are too big.

Fireapocalypseeverseen!!! by DAT.NOT.MY.GAME! 2015-08-30T13:57:00

Lovely artstyle and good core gameplay. The controls are a bit too floaty for my taste since it was difficult to change direction.

Monster of the Labyrinth by J3X 2015-08-27T16:33:00

This really creeped me out so it definitely worked. Really liked the glitchy matrix like shading. I could not figure out how to find the exit before I died. I only played once though but I think the maze like structure can prevent you from finding it in time before you are swarmed by the green skeletons.

Monster Chips by derugin.s 2015-08-24T22:10:00

I could not see most of the game in the Kongregate iFrame so it was difficult to play.

UFO by Polyganz 2015-08-25T15:21:00

Really fun game! I think the funniest part was the UFO rolling around but the rest of the game has a great feel to it as well. The sound when moving while flying gets quite annoying and it is difficult to see if you will get hit by bullets from the tanks because of the orthographic perspective but it worked pretty well nonetheless

Motherflipin' T-Rex! by mantis 2015-08-24T22:50:00

Art and sound was good and the mechanics worked well. Controls felt a bit floaty and tank shots should have been a bit slower so you had a chance to dodge them or may have a charge time before the shot is fired so you could dodge it

Collateral by mklee 2015-08-24T15:35:00

Very good game. My highscore was 139 for anyone who wants to beat it ;)

LD37 — One room

Eyball Room by DBRalir 2016-12-13T02:31:00

I couldn't get the game to run. Clicked on the exe and nothing happened.

Galactic Petting Zoo!!! by BoneDaddy 2016-12-13T02:48:00

Cute! I was a bit confused about only being able to pet one animal though, do more spawn in when you have petted the first one enough?

Creature by spirulence 2016-12-13T02:35:00

I think the basic idea is sound but the controls were too slow and sluggish so it was really hard to dodge the enemies.

1RC Your Forever Room by Kerr 2016-12-13T12:13:00

Presentation was very nice but I could only get one package to spawn and it broke when I got it. I also tried to throw some of the broken pieces into the chute so I could burn them but they bounced off.

How many employees are needed in a factory? by ThCortezZ 2016-12-13T04:10:00

Like the presentation, gameplay grew repetitive really quickly though. Music and art works really well together though.

flwr truss plus by wscones 2016-12-13T12:31:00

Really liked the aesthetic. Controls were awful you should have stuck to traditional FPS input, it's an established convention for a reason. Couldn't figure out how to make a bigger flower.

Also asking for donations for a jam game is annoying. I don't think you should ask for money for something you spent a weekend putting together. Wait until you have a more polished version.

VR Block Buster by jerwil 2016-12-13T11:53:00

Fun mechanic. Didn't like the way the camera followed the ball so directly. I also had a bug where the structure fell down but I still had to shot an extra ball before the game would recognize the level to be completed.

The Rocket Man by Dev Dennis 2016-12-13T11:47:00

Worst job ever! :P

I liked it. I kept expecting something really terrible to happen.

Where is the room? by Thijs Tak 2016-12-13T12:54:00

Interesting game. It would be nice if you could see the recharge and drop off zone. Also normal difficulty was quite hard. I couldn't figure out how to get the pandicorns back to the ship but I managed to drag some energy back.

Remote Operations Team - Tactical Extraction Action by HuvaaKoodia 2016-12-13T13:10:00

Nice mechanic! Could have used some audio.

Tempus Machina by Pickens Inc. 2016-12-14T16:16:00

I like the art and music. Interesting gameplay idea as well but you can spawn in the middle of an enemy which hurts you which feels unfair. The game would be better if you didn't take damage from touching enemies, especially since you move so fast and your attack is melee that you end up bumping into them a lot.

TILT Service by Birke 2016-12-14T12:09:00

EtherealPsycheGames That's a good point! If I end up doing a Post LD version that's on the list of things to fix

Moore, No! by Ronin748 2016-12-13T12:46:00

Nice presentation but I couldn't figure out where to start the puzzle. I figured out placement though.

Puppertrator by NotExplosive 2016-12-13T03:02:00

One of the most polished entries I have seen so far, good job!

Only complaint was most of the text was split up a bit weirdly when being showed so reading it felt stilted.

Oh would be nice with a sound for when you click on things.

Subway Taxi by ambi 2016-12-13T03:16:00

Cool little game. Doesn't make sense that he way you pick people up is by bumping into them gently though. Also couldn't figure out where to drop them off.

Walkie Talkie by managore 2016-12-13T22:06:00

Nice! Super original concept. Would have been nice with some audio and music.

Can into space by Ogniok 2016-12-13T03:44:00

Nice visuals and overall presentation! Would have been nice if the tutorial was introduced during the game since it was a bit front loaded sitting through all those slides. Also for some reason the game started up SteamVR? Also took some effort to figure out how to move units to another planet. Game also crashed on me when I got attacked.

Battle Dads by Peach Pie Productions 2016-12-13T03:07:00

Pretty fun! Movement felt quite floaty though.

Alien Barnage by homeworld 2016-12-13T21:48:00

Lovely art style! Sounds were good but would have been nice with some music as well. Gameplay was okay but I got stuck on the level geometry a lot. I think you should have focused on just making the shooting and dodging fun and not have bothered with the crafting of turrets.

ISS - Infuriating Space Simulator by Scruffy 2016-12-13T02:27:00

The web build on LD didn't load but it works on itch.

Really liked the mood, but it was way too difficult. It took a while to figure out the controls and it's odd that roll and yaw are mapped so a button press moves you in the direction you press while it's opposite for roll. It's a shame I really wanted to watch some TV ;)

Alter Void by fafastudio 2016-12-13T22:35:00

I got a memory allocation error from the WebGL build so played the Windows version instead. Very nice use of the theme. A bit hard to aim where the room will go when you click. Would be nice with a ghost outline for that.

The Paper Ship by kirilllosev 2016-12-13T21:40:00

Nice looking game and played well. It would be nice if you didn't have to use mouse click but could use space for instance to add speed to the ship since I'm dealing with RSI at the moment. The use of the theme was a bit weak.

Flat Zombies!!! by klams 2016-12-13T02:42:00

Looks gorgeous but the controls could feel a lot more snappy. As others have said it needed a win or lose state to make it more interesting. Also I didn't hear any music or sound which always makes a game feel barren.

Concierge by Zarkonnen 2016-12-13T03:33:00

Nice game! Would be nice to have some more information about the guests up front. I saw it more as a comedic game than a puzzle game though since as far as I could see there wasn't a way to get everyone to survive since you didn't know beforehand all the guests you would have. It was also difficult to determine the behavior of each guest, like what rooms they were going to visit during the night.

Super Furniture Mover ULTRA by NidzaKornjaca 2016-12-13T21:00:00

Nice presentation overall. Waayy too much headbob on the camera. Would also be nice with some kind of indication that you have actually grabbed onto the object your are currently targeting.

Dead End by NuclearCellar 2016-12-13T03:11:00

Needs more telegraphing when the boss attacks, also there's not enough impact when your shots hit the boss. Some sound of sound to indicate it has been hit would help a lot.

Chicken House by Raphael_ 2016-12-13T21:28:00

Nice visuals and I like the gameplay. Tutorial could use some more work though since it was a bit confusing. Also the amount music improves a game is a lot compared to how little work it is. Sounds as well would also help a lot on the experience.

Escape from Man Cave by Treborginho 2016-12-13T21:20:00

Pros:
Very cool idea and I'm impressed you got the videos loading. I laughed when I lost the first time. Didn't see that ending coming!

COns:
Too much headbob on the camera. Also I would like to walk faster.

ZROOMERS by neontropics 2016-12-15T21:42:00

I really liked the visuals. Steering was pretty hard as you realized yourself. I also think the camera could use some smoothing so it didn't follow you so directly to give better feel to the game.

LD46 — Keep it alive

Keep, Calm! by Maniulo 2020-04-21T09:17:56Z

Looks great but couldn't figure out how to control the tower seemed random what A and D did

HELLDERLY by KirLosev 2020-04-22T10:55:21Z

Looks great! The footstep sound got annoying really quickly though. Some music or ambience would have helped make the game feel a lot more polished as well

A Bolder Wizard by parahunter 2020-04-21T10:07:59Z

Haha thanks for the feedback everyone it was mainly meant as a way to try out the new physics but I'm glad you enjoyed it :)

LEADER KEEP THEM ALIVE by Bastienre4 2020-04-21T08:34:49Z

The music and sound design was super cool! I also liked the retro Sci-fi feel of the whole game.

Gameplay wise the startup sequence got a bit samey and when I failed the launch it put me right back at the start of the game. A checkpoint system would be nice so you don't have to repeat all the steps again. Otherwise the game conveyed itself well to the player I was never in doubt of what I should do.

Wandering Star by twigames 2020-04-21T08:48:55Z

Looks and sounds beautiful. I'd pull the camera out more so you have a better overview of where you are going. The arrows pointing towards the player also didn't seem to do anything? Would also agree with previous poster that the "doot" sounds gets a bit repetitive. You could use random pitch and volume shifting to fix that.

Keep it afloat! by Maka 2020-04-21T10:49:09Z

Novel take on rhythm mechanics and overall great presentation. Neat!

Bat Man by Dominium11 2020-04-21T09:01:02Z

Interesting movement idea but was a bit clunky to get used to. Text in the options menu is way too small. Also it's a jam game I wouldn't bother with an options menu and instead focus on gameplay next time ;) The move sounds got really annoying I'd replace them with something less high pitched.

Mollie by DecadeDecaf 2020-04-21T09:13:56Z

Really fun! Best feeling game I've played so far from LD46. Putting in a timer and the ability to replay the levels would be a great way to get some more replayability.

Presentation wise it's a shame the backgrounds are grey and a bit boring to look at. That and the Banner just saying the name almost meant I didn't try the game.

The skateboard sound works really well but the music got a bit repetitive quickly.

The "Speed" level could also use some better visual feedback that your movement is changed. Rather than the arrows I'd make the ground different like conveour belts

Bones 'n Roll by gerudoking 2020-04-21T10:08:29Z

Fun little game. I think some more juice on the character as you go up and down would add a lot to it. Also the fork I thought was something you could grind on especially since there was a trail of points leading into it :D

AMT: Alien Medical Technician by No Grapes Games 2020-04-21T09:56:25Z

Lovely art! The intro cutscene was a bit too long for my taste. A lot of the text in the how to play section was also very small and with the bright backgrounds hard to read.

Great atmosphere though.

Coffeetalism by Neisha 2020-04-22T11:04:36Z

Cute game love the art but didn't understand the mechanics at all some sort of tutorial would be good. Not a fan of the Resources buy sound it's way too high pitched. Some randomization on it would be nice as well

Planets wars by raguel 2020-04-21T09:27:35Z

Very nice work on the art and particle effects! It felt a little too hard shooting down the enemy ships because their own bullets had to be shot down first but otherwise felt great to play.

Planet Alerino by Marino 2020-04-21T10:02:47Z

Took me a couple of tries to figure out I had to protect the plant in the center. I'd give it's health bar the same art work as the plant instead of a heart to make that clearer.

Also the jump was very floaty and it took too long to land again. Some juice on when enemies died would be good.

I like the leveling up between waves.

Cool Plants / Chill Beats by Witdarkstar 2020-04-21T09:44:47Z

Nice atmosphere and graphics!

Found a bug where my plant wasn't visible when I returned to the room view or maybe I watered it too much and it died but there wasn't any feedback for that.
