This is really good! It's simple but very addictive, and the way your level design builds in more and more mechanics just feels right.
I made it to level 12 before getting stuck, but my favorite levels were 6 and 8. Like a good puzzle/platformer, it really has that sense of discovery of "oh, I can do that?".
The skateboarding has just the right feeling of tactileness to it (both gameplay-wise and audibly), and I think your BGM is a jam. Great job!
I like the level design! Got stuck in the railing level though. Couldn't figure it out
Absolutely amazing! I really enjoyed this game, the controls are really fluid and intuitive, and the level design is also amazing. Unfortunately though I did get stuck in a pit at level 19
This truly is a genius concept. I've never seen anything like it before. Well done.
Wow now this is an innovative concept. I would never have thought of skateboarding from "Keep it Alive" Not only is it innovative but it's incredibly addicting, fun, nice sounding, and graphically adept. One thing I would like is a quick restart button, even the slight half second after falling off the board gets infuriating on harder levels like 15.
This was great fun. There was both precision control and puzzle aspects to it. A very clever concept!
Looks simple, but very fun and addictive. Thank you!
This was very well made. I love the smoothness of the game. The graphics were great and simple.
Very fun and just the right level of difficulty! Fantastic level design as well. You did a great job of finding so many applications of such a simple mechanic and it was super rewarding to get the "Ah ha!" moment of figuring out the solution to each level!
Awesome level design and addictive gameplay! I had a lot of fun and found myself playing much longer than I expected lol. Good job!
It felt like actual skateboarding, just repeating the same trick over and over until you finally nail it, YES! Made it to 15 and absolutely enjoyed myself the whole time! The levels had a unique puzzle like quality to them that I find enjoyable. I loved the music, the fluid controls and character movement to match the speed of the board, the sound effects of the skateboard slap when it hits the ground, and the adorable tags on the wall in the background. I noticed the levels titles as well, "double Tollie" too cute! My only critique is that it's a bit of a stretch to say that you "keep it alive," however that is well made up for in the well thought out levels, from progression to varying tricks to accomplish. You did well introducing a new element and getting the payer used to it before adding it to a challenging string of tricks. Overall your game demonstrated your skills with all of the different elements you included. Coming back to play again!
Good job with this. I liked how the names of the levels helped you to know how to complete the level. Had some struggles with level 7 because I wanted to rush through it . Realized i needed to take one jump at a time.
Amazing concept for the platforming genere, this would make for a great game I would pay for with a graphical overhaul and some polishing. Great job.
great job is a good game!!

Really fun! all the levels up to 14 felt perfectly challenging and learning of the mechanics felt natural. level 15 felt just right challenging wise but janky physics and bugs really started to show their face here. I really want to see this developed further (with some more bug testing of course). one of the best games I played this night, ty!
this game is awesome!Great game-design,Great music,Great sound effects(Ilove the noise played when you get on the skateboard),Great Level design and perfect lenght!I'm glad to say that I could reach level 21,but my fingers are hurt and it took me half an hour. You can really be proud of you!
Really fun! Best feeling game I've played so far from LD46. Putting in a timer and the ability to replay the levels would be a great way to get some more replayability.
Presentation wise it's a shame the backgrounds are grey and a bit boring to look at. That and the Banner just saying the name almost meant I didn't try the game.
The skateboard sound works really well but the music got a bit repetitive quickly.
The "Speed" level could also use some better visual feedback that your movement is changed. Rather than the arrows I'd make the ground different like conveour belts
Thank you everyone for the awesome feedback!
Sorry to hear that @ofirma85. Were you able to jump onto the ground to restart, or were you actually stuck? Either way, that stinks.
To add onto that, a restart button like @veesus-mikel-heir suggested would've been crucial. Not just to avoid getting stuck, but to speed up the process if someone wanted to start over as soon as possible.
@brandann I will admit that my interpretation of the theme may have been a bit of a stretch. When I originally designed the game, I imagined a lot more of the levels to be about keeping the skateboard's position, momentum, and state "alive," but once I got down to making the levels, the game turned out to be a lot more precision-based than momentum-based.
@jake-marks I love that image.
@rextgun I did notice a few people getting their board stuck a few inches into the ground, but I hadn't actually seen anything else. Could you elaborate on the types of bugs you noticed?
@parahunter There actually is a timer (at the bottom), but the ability to replay levels is an awesome idea. The graffiti was a last-day addition to try to spice up the backgrounds. I tried patterns, lighting, and other unique ways to make it less bland, but I settled on some fun, randomly-generated images. Maybe it would've been a better idea to make the backgrounds/graffiti have depth so they actually looked like they were in the back. Also, I probably should've drawn the logo instead of photo-edited one, that would've given the game a lot more style. The song is a 2:50 loop, but for a game that takes most people over 15 minutes on their first go, it may have been worth adding a few more sections. Making the movement tiles animated (or something) definitely would've made them easier to understand, I agree. As with everyone else, thank you for the feedback!
This game is up there at the top regarding fun. The skateboard as a momentum based platforming mechanic is such a novel idea, it surprises me there isn't already a full game out there that plays like this that I know of.
I gotta agree with @peringo who beat me in race. I neede 24 minutes while he was finished in like 5minutes (oh man). I loved the build-up between the levels, how you introduced new mechanics towards the end of the game and combined them in such an unimaginable way - I had pure joy while playing!
"This game is up there at the top regarding fun."
Wow, this comment aged really well. Thank you so much @peringo and @sn4pi! Extremely happy with my results.
Later levels were kinda hard

Congratulations! Indeed, incredibly fun! Nice how I was able to use the skills needed in the last levels when playing the first levels again to avoid falling.
Commenting just because I found a bug: On level 15, keep jumping since the beginning and you'll fly. That also happens, for exemple, on level 13 or at the end of level 8.
A very cool game I remembered my childhood I got so hooked on it and began to play out that I forgot about the fact that I needed to write an essay at the university. Thanks to the guys https://writemyessay.nyc with what helped me with this while I continued to play and enjoy this masterpiece
