LD46 — Keep it alive

Lay Down Your Roots by NotExplosive 2020-04-21T06:55:17Z

Very interesting concept. It has some nice strategic elements. Great peaceful music and mood also. It was initially a little difficult to get my head around, so maybe a bit more explanation could help, but I figured it out after a while. Good job!

Orbit One by scottthoo 2020-04-20T11:46:59Z

Simple, but enjoyable. Fun timing-based gameplay and satisfying sound effects and particles to polish it all up. Great!

Tiny Fragments by Daniel Moreno 2020-04-20T12:04:33Z

Really well presented - art, audio, general attention to detail. A clever and fun concept also. Maybe not starting the level automatically and giving the player a little time to scope it out first could be beneficial. Loved it nonetheless.

Fishing Around by TheGameGoyal 2020-04-20T11:54:22Z

Unique concept. Polished well with nice audio and simple but pleasing art. Gameplay wasn't the most engaging. Once there was a lot of fish on the screen, it was hard to see what was going on and I just ended up spam clicking everywhere. But for a first time you've done well. Good job!

Frog Rations by healthire 2020-04-20T09:34:54Z

Simple, but enjoyable. An interesting way of controlling the frog too. My strategy was to not eat all the flies at once, but rather save some for later when the hunger bar was lower, seeing as it refilled all the way no matter what. Good job.

Keep the Beet Alive by Tad 2020-04-21T06:43:50Z

A very amusing concept and well presented also. It could maybe use a little audio feedback for damage and such. Other than that, great job!

Soul Seed by unept 2020-04-21T06:42:02Z

Played it all the way to the end. Very enjoyable. Great mood. Looks nice. The whole package. Well done.

Doomsday Feelings by biemorth 2020-04-21T23:50:01Z

Beautiful atmosphere. The art and audio really create a great mood. The gameplay was enjoyable also. My only gripe was that the player felt very heavy, like the gravity was tuned up a little too high. Other than that, great job!

Baby Dragon by dmtroy 2020-04-23T11:13:45Z

This was one of the most unique games I've played. Visually, it's gorgeous. The dragon is adorable. Some good gameplay variety too, with very simple controls. A pleasure to play.

Wonder by Ian Kettlewell 2020-04-20T08:58:11Z

Simple, but enjoyable. I liked how the levels and the text were drawn in gradually as you watched. Good job!

Fairy Savior by pvp 2020-04-22T01:38:58Z

Multitasking and finding the balance between attacking and moving the fairy is an interesting mechanic. Couple that with a mana system so that you have to be selective about when and where you move the fairy makes for some interesting depth of gameplay. Pleasing art and audio also. Well done!

Mollie by DecadeDecaf 2020-04-20T09:17:13Z

This was great fun. There was both precision control and puzzle aspects to it. A very clever concept!

The Core by NoobException 2020-04-23T06:21:11Z

Pleasing minimalist look. I found the ship a little difficult to control. It seemed like it kept turning after I had let go of the key, which gave me some difficulty lining up the shots.

platformEGG by Tricky_Fat_Cat 2020-04-21T07:33:00Z

Initial impressions were very positive. Looks great and plays well. I was enjoying it thoroughly until I died and had to start from the beginning again, which I didn't have the patience for, sorry. I liked what I did play. It was just a bit too punishing to want to put more time into it.

Crumbling Home by Becher 2020-04-20T09:46:08Z

Great concept and take on the theme. Gorgeous visuals. I had a little trouble controlling the character because he seemed to keep moving for a bit after letting go of the keys. There was also a bit of downtime just standing there waiting for the platforms to move within jumping distance. I still enjoyed it though. Good job!

Slime Mama by Jack Kaloger 2020-04-22T01:31:41Z

This was very clever. Enjoyable to play and well presented. Great attention to detail with things like the slime goop that the player leaves behind on the surfaces he touches. Maybe as a punishment for dying, the mama slime could use up some of her strength to respawn you. Great job!

Beat Savior by HKSpadez 2020-04-22T02:21:54Z

Clever tutorial. That was a great way to explain the mechanics and set the mood at the same time. The gameplay was very fun too. I had a little trouble hearing the beat. For a game like this, choosing music where the beat is very clear and distinctive is important. Other than that, it was very enjoyable. Great job!

A Very Fishy Game by Hillelgo 2020-04-23T06:07:12Z

A very pretty looking fish tank. Getting baited by the other fish that eats your fish made me laugh. I liked how you had to actually shake the food above the tank like you would in the real world. Well done.

Fleurist by TheJonu 2020-04-20T06:52:41Z

Fantastic! Great concept, satisfying to play and cute art with lively animations. Maybe a few more sound effects for cutting, watering etc. would have been nice, but that might just have been a time issue. I loved it!

Keep it Going by PatrickJR 2020-04-20T08:50:02Z

Very cool concept. Definitely a unique take on the theme. I liked the cheering sound effects you recorded as well. Good job!

Stupid Little Bird by Dolleman 2020-04-23T06:16:14Z

There was a lot more depth to the mechanics of this game than I expected. Not only did you have to control the bird well, but you also had to plan out your movements ahead of time. It looked nice too. I especially liked the mother bird's animation when the baby died. Great job!

DodoSavior by grtodaro 2020-04-23T05:49:34Z

Pleasant art and audio. The gameplay started out simple, but then you added more depth to it with the rocks and such. The dodos turning into cooked meat when they hit the fire was an amusing little touch. The character felt a little floaty, maybe strengthening the gravity a bit could be beneficial. Well done.

Box Of Limes by RedDashGames 2020-04-20T23:52:19Z

A very clever concept, and well presented also, with a lot of polish. A great interpretation of the theme and quite fun. Maybe giving the player a little bit of time to scope out the level first before it starts could be helpful. Great job!

To The Sky by darksylvok1 2020-04-23T11:21:29Z

Simple, but enjoyable. I like how you limited how often you can move. This introduced some added challenge and strategy that wouldn't have otherwise been present. I liked how the balloon looked when it was swaying side to side. Good job!

Just a Stroll by killy9999 2020-04-21T02:04:36Z

Looks good, plays well. The shooting sound effect was a little out of place, but I still enjoyed it. Good job.

Heartbit by antomatti 2020-04-23T11:07:55Z

Very clever concept. The letters for the word alive are in positions on the keyboard that are a little awkward to switch between quickly, but I still enjoyed it. Well done.

I LIKE FISH! by Rikitaner 2020-04-22T00:05:52Z

A simple, enjoyable concept that fits the theme well. I especially liked the camera zoom you did when the fishermen are chasing you. That was a nice touch. My only suggestion would be to maybe increase the frequency at which the fisherman spawn because there was some waiting around doing nothing at times. Other than that, great job!

Across the Lake by stephan steinbach 2020-04-20T23:32:35Z

Such a beautiful atmosphere - the reflections, colours, sound effects, attention to detail. The gameplay was basic, but I think that's what you were going for. Something calming and peaceful. You certainly succeeded at that. Well done!

My Egg and I by Sid Fish Games 2020-04-23T06:01:06Z

A very amusing concept that was quite fun. Pretty challenging also, trying to multitask between the platforming and juggling the egg. I enjoyed it, even though I didn't manage to make it very far. Well done.
