Crazy. Loved it!
I like the rhythmic movement mechanic. I would like to see more clarity and feedback regarding the status of your totems. I think this game is deserving of more work put into it, as the base idea is nice and reminds me of Patapon, which is a great game :) keep it up!
Excellent. I want to see a post-compo version, because I want more! :D Cheers!
Great work that reminded me of Zelda. I think you have a great sense for level design, and would love to see more dungeon and puzzle designs in a post-compo version. Get more content in and some polish and this could be a great little action adventure game! Cheers :D
Neat little idea! Worth expanding over time. Keep making games :)
This is the trippiest I have played during this compo, and perhaps one of the trippiest I've ever played, period. I like the art style. Trippyyyyy!!!!111213123
Point was really made! Lovely little adventure about something we can all relate to. It was as frustrating as the situation is in reality, but with a sense of humour and nice production values to offset that! Glad I played it, cheers :)
This game is so damn amazing. I had fun reading everybody's little bio / chat log. Would play a full game like this :)
Beautiful graphics / audio / mood. Music reminded me of Chrono Trigger / Final Fantasy, and the game brought memories of Superbrothers: Sword and Sworcery. Hats off to you :)
Incredible atmosphere. I really want to play a full game that lets you properly explore these environments. Having some more details and things to look at: such as different flora and fauna. A first person option would be nice as well to drink in the details. Fantastic work for the jam, and I'm glad I played it :D
Amazing game, great audio + visual experience. A delight to explore and uncover. Cheers :)
Great work! Some feedback: some visual feedback would be nice for when you pick up a phased object. This is just me, but perhaps a slightly more generous hitbox for picking things up ;)
Hilarious! I like how the actual levels and their design contributed to the humour rather than through traditional means. Would like to see more polish in a post compo version. You could absolutely release this with a little more work :D
This is really well thought out. I appreciate the local coop nature, even though I didn't get to try it. For a post compo version, I would consider slowly unlocking each power + upgrade over time while introducing what they do, similar to something like Diablo 3. Thanks, and keep making awesome games!
Beautiful graphics :) it is a bit hard though. I wish the 3 different tiles were mapped to buttons and I could just move the mouse over a spot and hit the right one that I wanted. Great work with the audio / visuals / mood / polish! You have great talent!
Haha! Ok, even though it took a few tries, everybody might agree that it's a little short. But, what a game! I love it! Very deserving of expansion, so I hope you work on it after the compo. Add some audio, and even keep the graphics the same - the binary nature helps with the theme. Cheers, and goodluck!
Beautiful intro. Love the audio / visual design. Gameplay related to the theme really nicely :) overall, great job. If I had to say anything, sometimes the gameplay felt a little difficult due to the physicsy nature. I think this idea has potential for expansion - would make a great touch game! Cheers and good luck!
Keep at it! For extra juiciness, you could add some feedback for hitting (and getting hit), and sounds. You'll also want to remain on the moving platforms. Overall, it could be a lot less difficult ;) but this is a fantastic attempt, and I hope you feel encouraged to keep going! Cheers :)
Great work to everybody on the team! Graphics, audio, and game were all incredible. Glad I played it. Thank you :)
I love the character animation (walking, sleeping, attacking!). Really nice looking little game. My suggestion would be to map the controls to different keys, such as Z and X for attack and switch respectively. Holding ctrl + arrow keys are hot keys for doing crazy stuff on Macs.
Nice game, glad I played it!
Thanks for your comments!
The game is a little buggy in regards to the triggers / colliders when coming down (they can land on your head and do weird things!). Second is when moving past multiple camera changes - the movement can be off. You can fix that by going back to an area that changes the camera.
As you guys know, 48 hours isn't too long to make a game, and I did my best! Hopefully a post-jam demo will fix these issues and add more "game" :)
@sneeuwpopsneeuw: I meant to have it black, and not blue, but must have missed it. Also, I'm sure I didn't break any jam rules.
@JonathanG: The environment and the character art are from the Asset Store. I did all the programming, design, lighting, camera, character controls, interactions, and so on. Eva is somebody I met over the weekend and composed a song based on some suggestions I gave her - I think she did a really beautiful job!
I don't have any experience building for Linux (presumably you'd need to be running Linux to build for it?) but I can try to make an .exe build and a mac build.
Keep an eye out for an update! Sorry if this has inconvenienced anybody or made them unable to play!
Update: Windows, Mac, and Linux builds now up!
@Kyoutashan: Thanks! I spent too much time on the demo to fully implement the theme. I should have explained it better, but my idea was going to be this: as you click on and read different notes in the house, it would tell you a little story and go "back to another time". That's where the effect comes in - objects fall into place, night turns into day. It's like transporting to another world, in real time. The two worlds are connected and tell a single coherent story.
Unfortunately I didn't get far enough :(
Thank you for your response!
Thanks Rage Paint. I'd definitely like to create more. Feel free to follow me to keep up with post-jam development!
Saw this on Twitch and had to play. Love it!
Very innovative, and excellent implementation of the theme. Very creative. Keep making more :) Cheers.
Such polish! Stunning work. You get ALL the STARS
