OK... but why?
Why?
Why would I ever do such a thing like blowing up planets?
Conquer and mine is always more practical.
Graphics are amazing!!!
@mircea123 for survival of your home planet XD
I believe I found a bug. When I died, I respawned in the center of a planet, and could not get out.
@doga-sarp-sezer thanks!
This is a really cool game, great job! If you're looking to expand this, the concept feels perfect for a competitive multiplayer. Two players going at each other, each protecting their planet, it feels like it would fit beautifully.
@rogerpellicano yeah me and my team were thinking about that. If people would be interested enough, of course we will add it and make complete game from it.
@gavinrg it is not a bug it is intended to be that way. When you die there is something like cooldown until you respawn. During that time planet shield would be down and enemies will attack your planet.
whoo oo the control are nice! I usually s**k at this kind of game but I really enjoyed this one! Fighting against the rotational pull was very well done.
The progression level is harsh : first one is a breeze, and direct on the start of the second level I was hit hard! I could not figure out the missile, and without some kind of minimap you lose a bit of context ( where is the planet, where are the ennemies, is my planet ok ). Some of it can be ok, so that you go and check back.
Music is nice, sound effects are good, art work is compelling ! A great jam game!
@dhim thank you. Yeah without minimaps you lose the sight of what is happening. Adding feature like that would have increased enjoyability of the game. Thanks for suggestions!
Amazing entry! Nice concept, art style works well with it, and it was overall fun experience!
The graphics are awesome, felt like I was in a Kurgegzat video. :P
Great graphics and effects! Explosions are really satisfying and gameplay is engaging. Nice work!
@steambrain thank you! hope you enjoyed the game.
@steambrain thank you! hope you enjoyed the game.
@murpyh our artist is a graphic designer. His style was minimalistic vector graphics thus you could see similarities :)
I really like it, I had a lot of fun playing it. I appreciate the sound feedback for shields up and down on the enemy planet, and explosion particles were really clean and neat.
I kept on playing because I was curious about if the levels were set or random, and it turns out they run out (the last one is a purple planet with really fast spaceships). Some feedback of what level are you in would be nice, or maybe giving a feedback of what's the last level. Still, it's definitely a great game.
Also I noticed that your planet can still shoot in the direction your spaceship was shooting when you died, but I'm not sure if that's a bug or it's intended.
Very fun, very good graphics, Very good game!!! I played the game for a long time ,but near the end their were no enemies? Also why should I move because it moves automatically? Over very good game.
@linx thank you!
@carlix it was a small bug :D. Thanks for feedback!
@guille we thought it would add something like momentum. You know because there is no gravity in space!
Great graphics !
Really like the look & feel, after playing for a while I got into a certain flow - I think that's because I quite like the smooth movement and reaction. Only thing I didn't like was the music, got a bit annoying after a while. I would have liked to hear something more simple or abstract maybe? A bit less "The Rock" movie dramatic at least
Simple idea with excellent execution. The variety of enemies really keeps the simple gameplay loop alive here. The explosions looked especially nice, and the music did a great job of not getting in the way of the game.
Very nice work on the art and particle effects! It felt a little too hard shooting down the enemy ships because their own bullets had to be shot down first but otherwise felt great to play.
Graphics are very good, has a Kurzgesagt vibe to it. Was that on purpose? Anyway, this could definitly be expanded to a full game.
I love this one. Great particles, lots of nukes and there's some enemy ship variety as well. The only thing it's missing is ship upgrades between levels.
That said, the ship movement seems a bit stuttery, probably not updating the positions at the right time. Also you can shoot when respawning :P
Great graphics! Though i think some limitations of your powers (boosting and shooting) would have made it more engaging as right now the only thing that killed me were enemies that spawned on top of me. Well done!
Really nice art, simple concept and the audio cues were really helpful for enemies that spawn off screen.
@wormholegames thanks! I hope you liked the style. :)
@frokes we wanted to add final boss but didn't had enough time!
Pretty cool game! Looks and plays really nice, and the narrative/fantasy aspect is fun as well.
The only complaint I really have is that moving side-to-side seemed a bit odd, and moving seemed a bit choppy.
I like this game! It's fun, but camera movement a little bit floaty for me. I always lost my enemies from my sight
Moving around was a little unwieldy, but otherwise I liked the game! The audio clues really helped me with keeping an eye on things. Solid graphics and music too!
Really nice graphics. I didn't expect the execution to be this great. I do wish there were a respawn timer, though. That and a few seconds of invincibility when you first respawn.
Really fun game where the punishment for dying feels fair. Audio and gameplay was nice and I liked the line that guides the player to the enemy planet. You can't aim when you die but can still shoot out of the planet which is a little odd. I think disable that completely to let the player really feel the effects of dying.
@yarpoplar хороший стрим был :)
Good game. Graphics looked awesome and audio was good. Movement felt awkward, I feel like the ship should move forward the way it's pointing. Difficulty progression was good, but I think enemies should not be able to respawn too close to the player's ship. I often got killed by a group of enemies suddenly spawning all around me all at once.
Simple idea, great execution! Controls were very responsive, the slow camera forces you to remember where things are.
Two minor things I noticed: After one level I was unable to click next level (nothing happened on clicking), did I finish the game? You can shoot while you're dead.
Maybe the enemies could profit from leading their shots. Just linearly extrapolating where their target will be when the bullet arrives.
@deinfreund yes you reached the end. I think that sounds like a good idea. Thank you for playing!
This was really fun! I beat the last level and got a bit confused because it still said next, there were some minor flaws but it was overall pretty well done!
GAME JUICE!!!! Nice game :)
Nice piece of work, felt good to play. Almost too easy because the frequency of our missiles is way higher, and because we destroy enemies missiles. Or maybe the planet could be damaged when we are hiding behind it. Great game overall
Thanks for bringing it by the stream, I enjoyed playing it. Overall I think you did a good job with game feel. The controls were tight, the bullets felt good -- particularly destroying incoming weapon fire. My only real complaint is that the game is a bit simple for how long it is. The one level where there was a mix of enemies stands out as a more interesting level as I had impactful decisions to make. Do I focus on a bigger ship that will take longer to destroy? or the little ones? Adding more types of enemies (like say a sniper enemy, or bomb layer) would make the player need to do more decision making rather than just bullet hell.
Overall though, great game and good job!
Great job with the game design, the goal is simple but with the different levels of difficulty as you progress it makes it more interesting. Nice game!
Incredible audio and art, really polished as well, and good progression. Really great work!
Top notch graphics. You really took the space shooter game jam game to the next level!
Great art, nice concept and good execution !
We both made space games about protecting Earth. Yours is much better.
Love the graphics and gameplay. The combat was actually pretty well achieved. Here's my playthrough of it: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/599709057
@mateusboga thanks for playing, it was a nice stream!
We streamed your game with Danae: [link to Twitch VOD](https://www.twitch.tv/videos/598538752?t=02h08m49s) (approximate timestamp)
Nice game. Towards the end I was a bit unhappy that there was not much variation. The strategy of being far from the enemy planet and strafe-circling when the enemies were around was pretty much all that was needed. Perhaps the enemies could have different shooting patterns? Enemies that actually try to lead their shots? Kamikaze enemies? Etc.
Hello! Your game was played during my stream!
If you want to know the timestamp of when your game was played you can see it in this spreadsheet: https://tinyurl.com/yau8hjzn

@ursagames Thanks for playing! Got valuable feedback.
@aurel300 we didn't had enough time to add different enemies. Initially there should have been 2 shooting mechanics, several types of enemies and final grandiose boss!
Short and sweet game, yet incredibly polished. I love the battleship and defend-the-earth theme you've got there. Also the best soundtrack I have ever heard after 100 games I've tried out ^^. Just one thing, it was not that difficult for me (since I'm quite familiar with shoot'em'up games) and I quickly find myself navigating senselessly just to find an enemy. I was a bit confused if I can obtain the enemy's drops and upgrade my own weapon, however they were falling way to fast xD. Anyway, good work!
Great graphics, fast paced game, simple mechanics make this game a plus. Nice job.
Really digging the soft art vectorized, which blends well with the music. The explosions deserve a special mention in this regard.
I found it a bit confusing that the player ship re-spawns behind the home planet an not above it. Perhaps I was doing something wrong.
