Really like the difficult scaling. Good use of the theme. Controls felt mostly fluid. When I died, the game didn't go to a game over screen or anything (was that intentional)?
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → Users → SynysterCola

Really like the difficult scaling. Good use of the theme. Controls felt mostly fluid. When I died, the game didn't go to a game over screen or anything (was that intentional)?
I had a good laugh playing this game. I died more often than not, but it was fun to cause chaos! Muahahahaha.
Love the art style. Nicely done overall! The sounds were a bit loud though. And it was a bit diffult to figure out that the darker shaded things are baddies and can damage you. I loved it though! :)
Neat concept. Took a bit for me to figure out how to do everything but I did like playing God! Muahahaha
I like the use of office noises as background music. Clever power-ups and I like that this was exactly what you said - wasting time. I had a good laugh :)
Like the idea. However, I wasn't a big fan of starting the game and immediately getting bombarded with attacks. It was hard to tell if I was hitting the enemies.
Clicked around a lot. A bit hard to understand what to do, but the graphics and overall feel of the game is great!
The general premise of the game is really funny to me! I liked the decisions I had to make. Overall a pretty meaty game. Maybe make it a bit more fast-paced and maybe mix up the way you have to "fry" the chicken.
I really like the sprirts and the overall Mood of the game. It was a little annoying when I had to jump but the gave made me talk to the nearby spirit instead. Otherwise, good work! :)
For losing a day, you guys got a lot done! The controls took a bit getting use to, but I appreciate the piecemeal introduction to all the tools.
Love the graphics! Simple concept, but a lot of fun to play! Well done!
The coin character is adorable. Really like the pacing. The enemies (I'm guessing they were bankers or rich people?) made me laugh :)
Clever use of the theme. I like the concept of trading abilities for more allies. The aiming was a bit finicky, but other than that I had a lot of fun! :)
This game is MONEY. The music is fantastic and the mechanics are solid. The gameplay is not TOO frantic, which I like. One thing - the room on the 1st floor with the key - was the barrier suppose to prevent me from leaving? Because if so, I was able to get out (the top of the barrier has enough room for me to walk by).
I was surprised at how many levels you got done! It was a little repetitive and the physics was a bit unforgiving. Otherwise, I like it! :)
A little hard to read and follow at times, but I really like the concept! Can't wait to see what else you do with it!
I had a lot of fun playing this! The voice clips had me laughing.
That $5 is adorable. I got lost trying to figure out what to do for a bit, but once I figured it out I had some fun.
Needs some work, but I like the first attempt! I think some sounds or other indicators would help so that I know I'm doing damage and stuff.
Love the concept, graphics, and music. I had a lot of fun playing this! The mechanics are some of the best I've played!
Thanks for the feedback so far everyone!
@jedineeson Thank you! I sort of made it up as I designed the game xD
@thesomeonexd - Sorry you got lost in the cave! I considered adding a minimap to the game, but decided to finish everything else up. The conversation in the cave had a subtle hint on how to make it through!
@listonos Thanks! Using RPG Maker allowed me to really flesh out the game. I considered another boss battle and a few other classes/mechanics around life energy, but sadly I ran out of time.
@torculus Appreciate the feedback! I wanted to make the combat challenging but still fun.
@mrpiedpiper Thanks for playing it all the way! The music was out of the box so I couldn't have audio voted on. Glad you liked that pun :)
@ejmejm Hahaha I was honestly worried it wasn't enough content! But I was able to get so much done because of RPG Maker.
@ryan-westby Thank you! FFX is probably tied with Octopath Traveler for favorite battle system!
@rakowu Thank you! I wanted to make sure the intro was cool!
@justuspan Thanks!
@tero-pulkkinen Thanks! I really wanted to make sure the battle system was fun to play with! :)
@adrian0901 No seriously, thank you for playing! I know next time to make time to make some custom assets! :)
@patrenaud Thanks! It seemed like it was a common practice to have timelapse videos. It's pretty neat to rewatch the work I did. I can even pinpoint the times I was freaking out or cursing up a storm.
@ghostgoatsgames Thanks for the kind words! :) @vertuga32 Thanks! I know now to try and include custom assets to try and mix things up. @mrstari Thank you so much! :)
More frantic than I thought it was going to be. Could use a little more explanation on how to make money, but otherwise I really like it! Graphics were good too!
A good life. Like what you did with the theme. Surprised me (in a good way)!. Very cool!
Addicting. Things did go a little too quick for me. The simplistic graphics did help.
I like the idea, but the early game is really tough! It was hard to tell when or how to hit the enemies. Still - I like the idea of reducing your health to make yourself stronger!
Controls were a bit laggy. Too many times I go to eat/kill and an enemy would spawn right where I am. Still - like the concept and think with a little more polish this can be really awesome!
Controls took some getting use to. The game does get hard. But wow the graphics and audio blew me away!
I had a lot of fun with this. Simple to pick up. Def. like to see what else you do with this game :).
The graphics and music/sounds were great! I felt bad whenever I got hit - my poor Shroom! :( But otherwise good stuff. A single player version would be very fun (and maybe challenging too!)
Graphics and music are fantastic. I def can see why games like OverCooked were your inspiration :)
A different take on the theme. Can't wait to see what other fighters you can come up with. It took me a bit to get that you can double jump though. Also wasn't clear that you had to get money to use attacks? (unless I misunderstood).
Clever use of the theme. Really like the mood and atmosphere of this game (even though it's not my kind of game).
Not a bad start. Def needs a lot of work done, but I can see potential here. Good work!
Relaxing indeed. I really like the art style here. Well done!
OMG this is a great concept. A great take on the theme. I wish the the game was a bit more forgiving on landing the cartridge, but otherwise good job!
Really like the concept! The tempo of the music changing, the interesting art, and overall gameplay mechanics are really solid. I had a lot of fun with this :)
I really like the art! The story is interesting and this was a nice change of pace. Well done!
This was really fun to play! Love the concept and the take on the theme.
Really good tutorial. Controls feel good and I like the graphics. Maybe I'm missing it, but is there a way to tell what barrels contain oil vs water?
Fun game! Go give feedback on other games!
Wow this was harder than I thought. I had a lot of fun playing this game and the graphics are really good. Thanks!
I love the lighting effects and graphics. Overall great atmosphere. The only thing I would have liked to seen is some sort of indicator about the fire's status as I'm far away. But that's minor - everything I really liked. Thanks!
Spooky, yet cute. I really like the take on the theme. Well done!
The graphics are really cute! I like the premise. Well done!
Great graphics. Sound was a little rough though. The torch swinging mechanic was a little unresponsive - the timing just wasn't clicking.
Well done though! Here's to protecting our little dragon friends!
Well done! I like the simplicity of it. It did take a bit to realize I should drop the log into the fire - not attack the fire with it lol. Good job!
OMG this reminds me so much of Paper Mario. I really like the concept (even if the battles are a little on the easy size) and this is super cool to get done in a jam. Well done!
Difficult, but I like it. A nice take on the theme. Took me a bit to figure out how to move the potato across the map, but otherwise well done! :)
Love the concept! Music and graphics were on point! Text was hard to read and it did take me a bit to even figure out what to do. Well done, though!
What a hilarious concept! Love to see more levels, but otherwise this is amazing!
Like the concept, but the camera kept messing with me and the overall movement feels slippery? Still - good job tho!
I had fun with this! The atmosphere I really like and the graphics are pretty solid! It did take me a bit to not use the arrow keys to not move around xD, but that's on me. Love to see how this looks with more time!
A cute game! Like that you show the baby even if I'm far away. Wish more seeds generated, but overall a solid game with nice graphics and sound!
Game has a lot of potential. But I share a lot of the same feedback as @honey-pony. Still - for a jam this is pretty cool! I appreciated all the references :)
Like the music! I enjoy the challenge of the light puzzles. It wasn't clear to me that sometimes you do need to go through the light to finish the puzzle (i.e it's not instant death). Otherwise great stuff!
I was wondering when a social distancing game was going to appear. Well done - I like the concept! It might be my computer, but I didn't hear any audio :( Otherwise the controls and such were really good!
EDIT - it was my computer. Good job on the audio!
Wow I had a lot to keep an eye on, but this was fun! Simple, yet challenging!
Got a lot done during the jam! I didn't care much for the disappearing platforms part, and the character felt a little too quick (though the fights had punch to them, so it felt satisfying to kill). Liked the story and graphics too!
This was a really fun game to play. Great graphics, music and control! Good job!
Wow this game was harder than it looked! I really like the controls and challenge of the game. Well done!
A little simplistic, but I like the game! Controls feel good and the music is an interesting choice! Would have liked to seen the game get more difficult or more obstacles in the way.
I really like the artwork! The gameplay is like a rougelike Oregon Trail. A little random, but I think I got the hang of the play style. Good work!
What a cute game! My only issue is sometimes I couldn't tell what I was running into that allowed the barbarians to catch up.
This is fine. It's pretty addictive and I like the art. Well done!
Love the art style! The music has that inquisitive feel to it. A really solid point and click adventure.
@horus Thanks! The graphics and music are either pre-made or made using a generator. As such, I didn't opt into the graphics and audio category. But yes - FFX is one of my inspirations for the game!
Thanks @bennybig98! Heat death will get us all in the end! But glad you had fun with it. It was a fun challenge trying to make this game not too hard or easy!
@maxathon Thank you! I know JRPGs are a tough sell for a game jam, but the themes lately allow me to have some fun with them. RPG Maker is a great tool that helps with rapid development.
@raguel Thanks for the feedback! I sadly ran out of time to make more enemies. It's why I played with the encounter rate to try and not make things too monotonous.
@willjardine Thank you for playing!!
@lectvs Thanks! I utilized those cut scenes as tutorials. Glad to see they worked!
@dedicave Thanks! I wanted to add my own assets but due to unforeseen issues I couldn't! Glad you liked the concept - I had a lot of fun coming up with it!
@rein - Appreciate the kind words. It was a tough balance - like I wanted to make trash mobs, but I also wanted to showcase the use of weaknesses. By staggering, that's where you can often kills enemies in like two hits.
@madewink Hey thanks for all the feedback! I wanted the first area to be linear to sort of show the general path (bottom left to top right) before throwing you into the mazes! I might consider adding more save points.
@anastasia-goncharenko Thanks a lot! Glad you enjoyed it
@hruy-gashaw Thanks for playing! The bosses were my favorite to make :)
@oqlqo Thanks! A little automated battling goes a long way it seems :) I know RTP is frowned upon, but I ran out of time to add some of my own tunes. Still appreciate the feedback!
@casual-effects Thanks!
@b-golda Appreciate the feedback! My intention was to utilize the "stagger" status to increase damage done.
@wuceng Thanks! I had intended to add more monsters to mix up the fights, but I ran out of time. Also weird with that random sound error. Was this via web or the download?
@wuceng Thanks for the info!
@epsulon Thank you! It's all out of the box though, so I didn't opt in to Graphics.
@kaeveris Thank you! RPG Maker takes care of a lot of the under the hood things so I can focus on the game. As for the battles - I tried to balance it out by allowing escaping always and making the optimal path in the mazes fairly low in the encounter rate. Thanks for the feedback though!
@valisse21 Thanks for the feedback! I had saved the more complex battles for bosses. The trash mobs were meant to be on the easier side (though I admit the encounter rate seems to have been too high). I purposely made the first map easy as an antepiece to the mazes.
@adamv Thanks! I wanted it to be a little on the harder side (but not impossible). Plus when you finally stagger an enemy it feels rewarding!
@ranjan Thank you for the feedback! RPG Maker, for all of its faults, allows for really rapid development. I tried to balance the encounter rate by allowing escaping to work all the time, and by making the optimal maths in the maze nearly encounter free.
Really like the style. A bit slow and monotonous for me, but I can see the potential! Took me a while to figure out what to do!
Wow this is BLOODY awesome! Well done! A nice take on tower defense games! I can tell you put in effort to balance the game.
A really well-polished game! Challenging and the music is on point. Reminds me a bit of games like Super Meat Boy and stuff.
It's short, but I like the concept! More choices would have been cool!
There was a learning curve, but overall I enjoyed the game and really like the audio! Well done!
Really good looking game. I like this take on the theme. Well done!
Good job for the first game! The controls felt a bit slippery (I was surprised how fast I was moving), and I think the jumping mechanics could use improvement. The sword throwing mechanic was solid and I did enjoy killing enemies. Well done!
It's fun! Love the art and the overall space station feel. The hit detection on the robots felt a little off. Good job though! Love to see what this game could do with more time!
Getting a 404 when I click on the itch.io page :(
Thanks! I liked the concept of constantly switching weapons. I felt the map was too large (though the minimap helped a lot). I can see a lot of promise with this game! Good job!
Like the idea and concept. The retro vibe is good too! I would have liked to have seen some more mechanics around the "enemy shooting themselves" idea. Otherwise, I had a lot of fun! Good job!
I like the powering down mechanic - keeps things challenging! Overall a very fun game. Good work!
For the first game, this is really good! The difficulty of this game is a little hit or miss, as at times I died from something I couldn't foresee or the RNG wasn't in my favor. That all said, the graphics and game play are on point. Well done!
Moving around was a little unwieldy, but otherwise I liked the game! The audio clues really helped me with keeping an eye on things. Solid graphics and music too!
Couldn't find the fifth person, but otherwise I liked it! Like the feel of the spider alien you control. Graphics are solid too! Well done!
Game just hangs "connecting". The tutorial makes me so interested in playing this though!
This is pretty fun! A nice change of pace. I played the survival mode and it was fun thinking of creative ways to use the items (and myself) to solve the puzzles. Afterwards, we did try it sort of like @thristhart 's way. A very flexible game!
Good music and visuals. It might just be me, but I think the play and cancel buttons being wooden threw me off (took me a while to get from the start screen lol). That said, I see a lot of potential in this game. Well done!
A lot of promise, but the controls felt a little awkward. Graphics are good! Good job for a first jam!
Oh my goodness this is awesome! Almost 3 games in 1! Love the music and humor! The water pipe puzzle kept messing me up. Otherwise, really good stuff!
The art style is amazing! The controls took me some getting use to and I found the repair/hear mechanics to be a bit clunky. The beeping sounds were a bit painful to my years. Still - this is an amazing submission. You guys should be proud!
The jump mechanics were a bit hard to use, but once I got the hang of it, I really liked the game! Cute music and a solid use of the theme! Well done!
Who knew trying to keep two hearts going would be hard! It took a bit for me to get into the rhythm (hah!) but I like the concept. The flatline as a game over is a nice touch :)
Keeping the party alive - what a fun concept. Good job! Graphics and music were on point!
