Pretty fun game. I had quite a bit of fun despite not realizing how it worked until later on. Cool graphics and well polished game. Good Job!

Definitely a game that was easy enough to understand and get into. Just the pacing I feel was a bit slow because people just arrived at a specific time instead of when requests were filled. I enjoyed the art style always good to see simple pixel art in a game jam and you made clean aniamtions. Good game for your second jam.

This ones real cool haha, love the style and vibe

sedna 2020-04-21 11:59

I like the Music changing a lot. The Graphic is really good. The only thing I would wish for is like a bell ringing, if he is at the Door. Because personally I didn't really see the change in the circle. But this is the only thing! Well done!

Keeping the party alive - what a fun concept. Good job! Graphics and music were on point!

2020-04-21 21:40

music it's really good and I love the art style. really fun concept and well implemented, it's a shame that keeps crashing on my PC and some guests leave anyway even if they have the music they like. it's still a really good game, good job guys!

vulpineblazeyt 2020-04-22 02:13

I loved your take on the theme, and sort of wish I was clever enough to have come up with *it* lol

xbcw 2020-04-22 17:25

Graphics and music here were incredible. I was a bit confused about what to do at first but eventually figured it out. I would have loved to see more party goers and after awhile, the people stacked up and i was not able to continue.

radicalace 2020-04-22 17:45

Loved the music and watching all the guests' dance moves haha Sometimes it was a bit difficult to talk to the guests though because 5 of them would all be standing in one spot. The general difficulty also stagnated for a while because all the guests just wanted different music so I didn't need to call the delivery for about 5 minutes. All in all, it's a solid, fun game. Great job!

Tremendo carrete! Eso, si puse la chela en la cocina y el DJ se pegó. Excelente juego! Maravilloso pixelart, música genial y se nota que el juego fue diseñado especialmente para la temática desde una perspectiva innovadora. Quedo atento por si hay actualizaciones. Felicitaciones! 5/5

inferture 2020-04-22 20:36

I love the concept ^^ It was pretty fun and the variety of music was impressive ! There also a nice progression as you have to gradually take care of more and more guests. Nice work !

naca 2020-04-22 21:58

Great entry! Music is superb! My favourite tracks are the 3rd and the 5th (counting from the left). It's a bit slow at the beginning but very fun to play after a few minutes. It would be awesome if you add a "dance" action for the main character :)

Also, I experienced a few issues while playing. First time HTML5 version crashed and I downloaded the macOS version, but then the first door would not open (the one that leads to the kitchen locked with :lock:10). Let me know if you upload a fix, I'll be glad to play it entirely.

Really cool! I really like these kind of games haha. The music & art are really good! I couldn't finish because the game crashed on chrome, but that's fine! I liked the level of details, but just for me the beginning was really slow, I wasn't sure what to do since everything was all good, I was just waiting. Then when more people came it was more fun :). Congrats guys, really nice!

Really nice mood and cool feeling. One of the best game so far! Fun to play, cool graphics and nice music! The parents don't seem to come home though, or ar the two last guest the parents?

Hey there, this title is really polished! Fun to play with nice and fit composition, I liked the most indicators (when ordering food) and good difficulty progres like also music. Only things that I would improve (with time ofcourse :)) will be somehow visible indicator of how single guest is having fun and more clear info that i need put food on table to keep them happy :D Anyway great job Dedicave!

invader 2020-04-27 11:50

It is fun to play... I love the tunes - keep the party going.

I agree with comments above about sound notification for a door bell.

Also, I was taking to somebody near the table with food and drinks, and the person suddenly disappears :smiling_imp: Did I killed him? Should I expect the police coming to the party?

bulent-altinay 2020-04-27 19:49

Nice game. Fun to play. Need some time to figure out what's going on...I liked the delivery system  . Some 'joy indicators' above the guests may be helpful for gameplay. Congrats...

dedicave 2020-04-30 18:16

@invader Actually that guest left the party because he was unsatisfied for too long of the food, music and or trash level! The police was one of the best ideas that we had to discard due to time. Thanks a lot for the input!

dedicave 2020-04-30 18:22

@shinchan Thanks for the feedback! Visual clarity is a key aspect for this kind of "simulation" game, we´ll figure out how to implement your ideas after the jam!

dedicave 2020-04-30 18:25

@martin183 Parents were supposed to come home at 02:00 but we weren´t able to add the end before the submition period. So keep the party going! (We really loved your parents as the last two guest theory)

dedicave 2020-04-30 18:26

@peterfiftyfour You are right the beggining is pretty slow, we wanted the player to have some time to get used to the game, but we should tweak those timers a bit, thanks for the advice!

dedicave 2020-04-30 18:30

@sedna You´re so right about the bell ringing, definitely a sound that would improve gameplay. Thanks for playing!

dedicave 2020-04-30 18:34

@naca We did some fixes recently on the html version, try it and tell us if you keep encountering the same error. Unfortunately we don´t use Mac so we are not able to give a lot of support there. Thanks for playing!

dedicave 2020-04-30 18:38

Big THANKS to everyone who played, rated and/or commented our game! We´re thrilled to see the communnity enjoying Home Alone Party! We´ll continue to fix bugs (like guests trapping you) add features(like the police ruining the party) and polish this project on future installments taking in account all the feedback we´re receiving.

danilo-freire 2020-04-30 19:04

Hey, congrats for the entry! That idea pop up during my team ideation at the start of the jam, glad that someone make it. Had fun with the game, but sometimes i didn't realised that the delivery had arrived, some sound feedback would be nice.

joror 2020-04-30 21:15

Ha great party-management game - loved the music - I wanted to switch to the one I liked even if others didnt like it ;) The gameplay itself was pretty interesting, balancing different needs. It felt though that the game moved too slow, would have been great if it progression was a lot faster. :) Perhaps I was just not a good host or missed something ;) (I think when people left, the number in the room also didn't go down, bug?)

Nicely done!

keepoccino 2020-05-01 08:45

Great game with good music!

Sadly the game crashed after a while, but it was fun to play.

One thing I've noticed is that the Items on the kitchen table are not shown for me which makes it a bit hard to tell if there is still some food left.

vesper 2020-05-01 11:02

Great little game! The pixel art was really nice, and the changing music helped to keep the atmosphere feeling fresh. The difficulty level did sort of stagnate over a while though, and the html version seems to have a bug where it never ends (though I see that has been mentioned already).

It would be nice if the tables were more accessible - at one point the room was quite crowded and it was difficult to select the table itself and I just kept interacting with the nearby guests. Same sometimes with the doors. Also (in the html version at least) all the food on the kitchen table was invisible, which made things tricky. Was never really sure if the food effect was persistent or not. Sometimes the requested item would already be on a table already, but people would still be asking for it and I didn't know if it still counted, or if I had to order fresh. So some clarity there might be nice.

But with a couple of small adjustments you could have a really nice game. It was fun and easy to play. Very impressive for a Jam, and I liked the core idea behind it. Well done!

Great concept and solid execution! The graphics and music were great! The game started off in my opinion waaay too slow. I was just waiting around occasionally changing the music while waiting for people to show up, which took quite a while. It definitely became way more hectic once they did show up! I liked it a lot though, would love to see this worked on more!
