LD35 — Shapeshift

Shift the Shapes by Larzan 2016-04-21T14:18:00

Great puzzle game! Never seen this mechanic, I enjoyed it a lot. I got through 11 levels but I don't know if the 11th is the last one or if there's a bug, it keeps saying click for next level. As a curiosity fact, I'd like to know if there's always a way to solve the puzzle or if I can "mess it up" so much that I'm forced to restart. Sometimes I couldn't figure out how to fix what I did wrong.

Zen and the Art of Transhumanism by Deconstructeam 2016-05-09T00:15:00

Enhorabuena!!

Signed Distance Shift by netgrind 2016-04-28T13:27:00

It does not work properly on Linux. It runs, but the visual effects don't show up. I mean that on Linux is just a black screen with a white path that you can easily follow :D I'll be playing it on Windows later.

Geometry Garden by Evgiz 2016-04-19T15:51:00

Really addicting!

Go Shape Yourself by Elemental Zeal Games Studios 2016-04-22T21:45:00

Nice game, pretty challenging for me. I liked the visual part and the sound effects.

THIS IS AMAZING by JokerDen 2016-04-24T22:25:00

Nice concept. First levels are a bit too easy and suddenly level 15 gets really hard. It would be good to adjust the learning curve to be smoother.

Snakoban - 倉庫蛇 by Fonserbc 2016-05-03T22:26:00

Great mix between snake and sokoban :) It would be nice if you explicit somewhere the exact constraints for snake and box movement. I'm not sure I fully understand them, even though I solved all the puzzles.

ORIKAMI by Mnemusyne 2016-04-22T17:48:00

Excellent take on the theme. Glad to see games that deal with social issues. Beautiful graphics and audio, also. Congratulations!

Genius Loci by glbs 2016-04-24T21:21:00

It's for games like this one that I keep playing LD entries. A real pleasure to navigate through this environment. Very good work. I feel like I'm missing many architectural references, as I don't have a background in that field. But anyway, I've enjoyed it a lot. Also, it's impressive that you've done all this modelling work in a weekend.

Species by JaviCepa 2016-04-23T15:39:00

Wonderful low-poly graphics. The fish movement animation is impressive. Nice relaxing atmosphere, sound fits perfectly, enjoyed it a lot!

ADAPT by cabezotta 2016-04-19T14:40:00

Well done :)

Creased by Cosine 2016-04-22T18:34:00

I like the idea, it's fresh, simple and very well connected with the theme. It's a pity you hadn't enough time to add a little in-game tutorial, I had to make a bit of guesswork at first. Anyway, very good work!

Mortal Ro-Sham-Bo! by dcolgan 2016-05-06T14:58:00

This is hilarious! :D Fantastic revision of the Rock-Paper-Scissors classic. I will definitely use it in my home arguments ;)

Graphics and music are very fun. The real-world characters and animations slightly remind me the first Prince of Persia :D

wolf and the moon by zillix 2016-05-05T23:11:00

Beautiful game! Mechanics "play" with the fable literally. I think it's an awesome way to guide the player through the game (even though it took me some time to figure out what was I supposed to do :D). Music and graphics suit perfectly the general mood. You've made a fantastic piece :)

Polyshift by keyboardmonkey 2016-05-04T21:52:00

The core idea is simple but very well developed. The game looks great and is fun to play. I got 74% :D But the last level is absolutely crazy!

SandShifter by nesis 2016-04-22T22:07:00

A bit short, and it needs some ambience sound in my opinion, but the atmosphere looks great and your puzzle concept can be expanded so much! Good work!

dröm by Danny Gallagher 2016-05-01T01:52:00

Man, we had the exact same idea for this jam: clouds! Although mine is not very similar to yours in implementation terms, the core idea is pretty similar. So I encourage you to have a look at it. Regarding to yours, I think some more music or ambience audio would be better, but it is a lovely game anyway :) Clouds are so awesome things :D

Aeroteque by dustyroom 2016-04-28T15:27:00

Woooooow fantastic game!!! Please listen to the VR suggestions!! I love the colorful atmosphere and the song is soooooo funny (as the game is). You're a true music magician, dude :D I'm sure that half of the fun with this game is due to its amazing music and colors. I will definitely play your past LD entries, because they look so good!! Congratulations, no doubt this is one of the best entries at LD35 :D

Sunshift by guimonpa 2016-04-20T23:04:00

Extremely fun and well polished game, congrats!. Though I don't see the "shapeshift" theme anywhere but in the title :D

Wood for the Trees by ratking 2016-04-29T20:23:00

I liked it very much. I was totally absorbed by this looping world. You've made a great work with this maze-like adventure. Hints were perfect to squeeze a bit your brain: not too easy, but not too hard. Visuals are very good too! I felt like there was an actual backstory for this, but I didn't catch it though. I think it would be good to tell a little bit more detail, less abstract, and let us enter the story. Anyway, congratulations!

Sheepshifter by merzlot 2016-04-22T01:01:00

Great work! The idea of being the shepherd and the werewolf at the same time is interesting. Also, really cool drummer ;)

Cutting Hedge by Headmade 2016-04-29T19:31:00

Really funny idea :D Very good take on the theme. The cut physics are so cool! But I think the satisfaction scoring is not very well implemented. I've done a couple of them pretty good, and got less than 40%. Then got 100% with just a few random cuts :D

Shift that Shape! by Lagoe 2016-04-22T21:54:00

It is a good first work. Graphics aren't so bad, they work well with the game. Hard mode is funny :)

Soothsayer Simulator 2016 by iceburg7 2016-04-21T15:45:00

Glad to see a new unique experience. Beautiful song, I also listened to it until the end.

Conway's Game of Death by florin 2016-04-29T17:39:00

Interesting version of Conway's. I think it's closely related to the theme, so good idea. My best score: 63 :D

Flow by flummox3d 2016-04-29T17:24:00

Very clever puzzle concept!! I enjoyed a lot :D Also, good use of the theme. I played through the 20 levels and in my opinion the learning curve and increasing difficulty is very well balanced. Good job! Could work very well for mobile if you add more levels.

Shadow of the Red Hand by andyman404 2016-04-21T15:13:00

Awesome concept, man. Simply awesome. Reeeeally good use of the theme, I'm impressed. Controls are a bit tricky but I've had a lot of fun. Music fits well although it's not made for the game. And I love 1UPs :D

Silver Bullet by pavel_insight 2016-04-23T15:14:00

Great conversational game, the dialogue has goes on well in every branch, it's fun and has an unpredictable ending :D

Endless Runner by isaque.picao.sanches 2016-05-01T02:31:00

As someone has already commented, level 3 may have a bug. I keep pressing space and nothing happens. Anyway, I liked the concept so much. As you said above, it teaches you how to play implicitly in a very smart way. Well done!

Soundscape (Find the Light) by johnbrynte 2016-04-29T22:33:00

This was such a pleasure to play. I can see (hear, actually :D) that you put a lot of work into audio for this game, it feels sooo good in my ears :) I've heard about a similar game some time ago, but never played it. So this was my first audio-only experience in videogames and I really liked it! I hope we'll see more audio based mechanics in the near future, they're a fresh new field to experiment with.

PS: Found the Light 4/4! Second and fourth were very hard to find!

A Story of Hatred by fragileannihilator 2016-04-20T21:45:00

Vampires have extremely advanced problem-solving skills :D Voice acting is superb!

OFFLOAD by Anupam Coleman 2016-04-19T14:24:00

Nice idea extending a classic, but I think it would be interesting to have more shapes to play with. Anyway, music is great, and congratulations for your random color picker, it's got really good taste :D.

Swim Away! by Sabina Lis 2016-05-05T22:46:00

Nice entry :) It's fun, and control is simple so it could work well on a mobile platform. I found it a bit unbalanced though. I don't know exactly why. Plants are so big and sometimes is impossible to move forward as the black objects keep spawning.

SUBJECT 26 by MSiddeek 2016-04-20T13:56:00

Wooow huge game! I will definitely replay it in order to find and save all the butterflies.

I think you've made a really interesting interpretation of the theme. A man in a mental asylum saying that he can become a butterfly, but only when nobody is watching... and he can indeed. I don't know, the game has kind of a magical feeling that I loved. Congratulations!

P.D. The ending could be a little more expresive :D

Elegant Flamingo by georgebatch 2016-05-08T20:04:00

Very funny :D When I hit the up/down keys things got really crazy!. You've done a great mood in only seven hours. The only thing I miss is some music. But for the rest it's not worse than any 20-30 hours game.

Side Effects by The Mad Strauss 2016-04-22T16:54:00

Juegazo! Pixel art que te cagas, citas a grandes como el Capitán Threepwood, drogas, bien equilibrado y encima divertido. Lo tiene todo, hay que hacer más niveles!

Y gracias por comentar en el mío compañeros ;)

Henkan Pachinko by AnaGF 2016-04-22T14:21:00

Nice entry. Simple yet effective mechanic. I think it could be easily expanded by adding some levels and increasing their complexity. Even a level editor could be implemented... y'know, give the community the tools and they'll do the work. Well, maybe I'm looking away too much :D

Formorph by Solocov 2016-04-20T21:29:00

Good idea, but too difficult sometimes. I stopped at the climbing part, but don't take me too seriously, I'm a poor skilled player :D. Anyway, I think that part requires much more accuracy than what the controls gave me.

A Portrayal of Poly by heybudgames 2016-05-01T02:58:00

I feel like there's a hidden metaphor that I'm missing, but presentation is superb and I like how the game self-explains while playing. It's always a pleasure to find something different. Great work!!

Flatland Revolution by rcrmn 2016-04-30T15:21:00

Oh man this is Flatland by Edwin A. Abbott!!!!!!! And I'm not able to play it!! Please upload a WebGL or a downloadable version, the one that you've posted does not run on my browser (Firefox). I can't wait to try this!

Flatland Revolution by rcrmn 2016-05-03T15:34:00

@rcrmn Oh man, I feel so silly! I opened a browser console and saw that it was just taking a bit too much loading time :D Thank you for yout answer!

The game is so good, probably the first game about Flatland. Simple, but for the book fans like me, very enjoyable. The way you've implemented shapeshifting in the gameplay is so intelligent. You could expand it with many things of the story, like the Chromatic Revolution, and make kind of a "Flatland: The Official Game" :D

Finally, I want to share a thought with you: how would this look like if it was a first-person two-dimensional shooter? ;)

Great work, man!

Disarranged by Sheepolution 2016-04-21T14:38:00

I don't know how to play it in Linux, could you tell me what I have to do or install?

Disarranged by Sheepolution 2016-04-21T22:44:00

I finally managed to play it, and you guys have made a fantastic game! To play something that makes you laugh simply saves your day. What else do we need? Unexpected laugh is always the best gift, so thank you :)

Solid graphics and gameplay, excellent mood, a top 10 mega-hit song, tons of fun and the surprise factor makes this little piece a complete experience for me, it's all I could ask for in a LD game. Congratulations, 5/5.

IT IS COUCHMAAAAAAAAN!!!!!

ShapeGrid by matiasbontempo 2016-04-22T18:11:00

Really fun and addicting game! Congratulations for you first compo, it's an excellent result. I liked the clean graphics and I'm trying to beat your highscore :D It's my favourite one on the geometric-shaped approach.

ShapeGrid by matiasbontempo 2016-04-23T20:47:00

I'm surprised by how much I like this game :D You forgot to add "current score" info when the game finishes. I can only see my highscore, but not how close I get to it! Keep working on it, it's a good one! Btw, my highscore is 100, not bad but I don't think I'll reach 223 :D

Werewolves by miwuc 2016-05-03T14:24:00

Nice concept, but too hard for me. Couldn't beat level 6, there are too many people! I think if you reduce the number of people in the first levels it would be easier for the player to get used to the gameplay, and then reach further complexity.

TRUMP: Political Shapeshifter by Brice 2016-04-30T14:53:00

I'm very happy to see a game that deals with political issues. It's a pity that there are not many more, because I think it's an excellent viewpoint of the theme. The parody mood makes it more enjoyable, and not less meaningful. In my opinion this is a very good way to let people understand how dangerous Trump actually is. Well done!

There is no game here by Muel 2016-04-28T22:24:00

Even if there is no game here, it says something. It communicates a feeling, and this is all about communication. So thank you for sharing. Whichever your problem is, keep fighting and good luck. See you in the next LD ;)

Purrr by Farelle 2016-04-22T14:01:00

It feels a bit unfinished (I know timing is difficult at LD :D) but I had fun playing it.

You're a Floor Lamp Now by blinry 2016-05-03T14:13:00

This is super funny!!! I had a great time playing it :D It's not easy at all, so I was really challenged to get to the ending (my mouse finally did eat the three cheese pieces!) It's not the superpower I've dreamed of, but hey, now I know that being a floor lamp is not so boring ;) Well done!

The Door by Joanrelos 2016-04-21T14:58:00

I like this kind of experimental thing, as you said, more like a poem. It is true that many people won't like it, but wth, if we don't take risks at LD where would we take them? So I think you can be proud of it :D Don't see the theme anywhere, though.

Endless by fakeyou 2016-04-29T21:51:00

It looks really nice. Some electronic-ish music would be perfect for creating a more inmersive experience, I think.

Public Opinion by Finn Stokes 2016-05-06T15:26:00

Cool experiment. It is a novel and very interesting approach to the theme. I know It's very hard to write a social dynamics simulator within 48 hours, but this is good as a first iteration. It could be easily expanded with new features in order to simulate more complex behaviour.

h3ss by wboqm 2016-05-08T22:14:00

Very interesting project. It would be nice to have an in game tutorial in addition to the textual description. The first two minutes of the youtube tutorial are very useful to understand how to navigate this space, but it would be good to have it into the game itself. Anyway, it's pretty difficult to get used to the space in this game :D

Really interesting engine guys, hope to see more games using it!

Cloud Sculptor by Naca 2016-04-19T16:03:00

Thank you all for your useful comments!

@GrowthRateOmega Yeah, I just intended to create a calming atmosphere to stay a few minutes :]

@Mikaza There is not any goal actually :D

@Wan Very wise observation, I originally planned to add a looping texture to the background, but time ran out. I will do it in the near future for sure. Regarding the cropping effect... I think it's a bit weird, but there was no easy way to "erase" the sprites more softly.

Cloud Sculptor by Naca 2016-04-19T16:41:00

@JHemmings I see you catch the point. But what do you mean with your comment about the music? Can't you hear it or is it that you don't like it? The game has music actually.

Cloud Sculptor by Naca 2016-04-20T12:59:00

@Millefey Thank you :) And yes, it needs some polish in general.

Cloud Sculptor by Naca 2016-04-24T21:07:00

@kestrelgames Thanks for your feedback! I'm happy to find another cloud-lover :D The "sculpting" effect is not very good, I know. I didn't have time to improve it during the jam, so that may be future work.

Unbecoming by tomlum 2016-04-23T15:53:00

This game actually reached to my heart. When I was a child, I used to play with my imagination continuously. I miss that time. And I guess one of the reasons that I play videogames now is because I miss that time, the old fantastic worlds that me and my friends used to visit everyday. I suppose we all have done that, but many people do not remember as well. Maybe one day I'll try to play that way again :D. Anyway, congratulations for one of the best takes on this theme.

Oh What a Night by Siegfried Croes 2016-05-06T16:12:00

Very funny game :) Some audio would be nice, but it feels good anyway. I got stuck at the cheese part so I needed to play the post-jam version (much better hints). Btw, loved the Magical Key character :D

Hard to know by kyuni 2016-04-23T00:49:00

Cactus Corner by Millefey 2016-04-20T13:18:00

Congratulations for your first LD! It is my first time too!! This is a really good project for someone that is learning to code while jamming at LD. Nice graphics too.

Binary Shift by JHemmings 2016-04-19T16:16:00

Really interesting idea. I also like how you represent the "health bar" :D

Squircle by Wan 2016-04-19T16:37:00

Well done! Best game I've seen for now. Fun and simple, and it made me smile. It's a pity it does not have a little bit of sound, but hey, take it with humor :D

Pluto's Tears by kestrelgames 2016-04-23T15:35:00

Awesome work, fun to play and love the Solar System theme :) Your song is fantastic, it's a pity you can't enter the audio category. Indeed, I've seen a couple of entries with 3rd party music entering that category... so not everybody is taking the rules correctly... You're very honest by making that sacrifice.

Pluto's Tears by kestrelgames 2016-04-28T00:37:00

Glad to hear you've finally entered the audio category! Scoring it 5/5 right now! :D

Also, I'd like to thank you for your comments. "Unconventional" and "original" are the best words anyone can say about my tiny game :) I will take into account all your constructive suggestions. It's for people like you that this first LD is being extremely enriching for me.

Work! by DevelopTech 2016-04-28T16:07:00

This is really interesting stuff. It's a message, a thought that you wanted to share, masterfully presented to us in videogame form. I love this piece. I think this kind of communication through games is what pushes the medium forward. Congratulations. Btw, I feel the same way as you about this topic.

Origami by muraisama 2016-04-23T15:25:00

Beautiful origami visual style, and very good taste choosing the color palette. The music is superb, is it yours? The only bad thing is control, not very comfortable to play.

LD37 — One room

Rent for 30 seconds by Volcanic Giraffe 2016-12-14T00:02:00

Nice one! Very funny interpretation of the theme, and great replay value :D When I got only 1 star the first time, I felt like I needed another chance to do better.

The Magic Workshop by KonH 2016-12-18T20:02:00

The gameplay is quite good. Random events and survival mode give some replay value. Wizards always prefer bitcoins :D

clapclap by Emile Danger 2016-12-14T01:22:00

This is simply brilliant :D I've been in so many concerts where people were mad about clapping.

Got 273 points ;)

Tiny World by Ednei 2017-01-02T21:47:00

Nice entry! I had a good time collecting molecules :D

One Womb by StoneMonkeyStudios 2017-01-02T05:06:00

Our game is the sequel to yours :D Great use of the theme!

General Room by jeroenwimmers 2016-12-14T01:53:00

Very good entry. Lovely graphics and sound effects, every detail was taken into account. Also very fun to play, so congratulations :)

The Painted Lady by Verz 2016-12-14T21:25:00

Wow, I don't know what to do with this one.

I love the game. Nice pixel art, music is superb, and what in my opinion is by far the best feature: use of the theme and the social aspect in general.

Now, I can't rate your game as long as you don't provide a jam version. The only one you link up above was uploaded about 36 hours after the jam was closed. As you may understand, it's too much time to rate it without a jam version. I usually play post-jam versions, as they tend to be just bugfixes and a bit of polish, but currently I can't confirm this for yours, I'm afraid.

That said, you've made a very good work. I'm now looking at your previous LD entries and they're pretty good too. Very different, that's why I like them. So, congrats folks :D

Non Euclidean Room by NuSan 2016-12-18T04:02:00

It looks really cool! I love this kind of games, and you've got an impressive result in only 48 hours! Great work!. I didn't like music very much, but it was really fun to explore this space. Congrats :)

Sonder by Ludipe 2017-01-02T05:27:00

Very good one! I like how you've used the theme. For me, waiting rooms are kind of special places, don't know exactly why. I also liked this "sonder" concept. After googling a bit, I've found this project that you may find interesting: http://www.kamaikamai.com/index.php/en/projects

Waiting Room - The Game by NinjaPatBeck 2017-01-02T05:35:00

I like it! Short experience, yet fun to discover its content. I think it's a good first entry, and fits the theme well. Also, I like waiting rooms :D They've got something special.

Alone by Liam :D 2017-01-02T05:14:00

I like the topic you've selected for the "one room" theme. It's a very interesting work, imprisonment made gameplay, and very well made. If a game can explain what is to be in jail, this must be very close to do it. It doesn't let you interact with anything, it doesn't let you see beyond your cell... well, that's to be in an isolation cell. Graphics are pretty simple but help to preserve the dark mood.

Shadow Fencer Theatre by ShuddaHaddaLottaFun 2017-01-02T05:18:00

Very funny game :) Great graphics.

The Wiggle Room by panurge 2016-12-22T02:26:00

Hyper-funny game!! Pretty hard to beat though. Anyway, after a bunch of tries I managed to win the Final :P I had a great time!

Empty by dustyroom 2016-12-14T16:15:00

Guys, I'm officially a big fan of your work. Your games' look and feel, your style... everything is really unique, personal and easily identifiable. Aeroteque was absolutely wonderful, and this is a great continuation, although in a slow-paced way. As in Aeroteque, the theme is taken very literally, but the gameplay is delicious. Also, you have an extremely good taste for music and color ;)

I got through level 3 but I didn't really understand how de vase disappeared :D Then I got stuck on level 5 or 6, so a "reset level" button would be very useful, as some people have commented above.

My congratulations! I like this very much :]

The Library of Babel by Ancient_Pixel 2016-12-18T04:23:00

Yeeeaaah!! Good one! I've always found Borges' Library of Babel a really interesting concept. And I've been thinking about making a digital version too! It's good to see people sharing this curious ideas.

Regarding to the game, I have some questions for you in order to see how accurate it is respect to the novel: are the books' contents randomly generated? In the novel they were not. There was a limited number of books, not infinite, and each one was unique and different from the rest. If you generate them randomly, there could be two or more identical books. If they're not randomly generated... then how did you do it?? :D

Books! by Mark Ffrench 2016-12-20T22:52:00

"There should be a book in there entitled "Instructions" which will tell you what to do. If you find it, please let me know where it is." Hahahahaha sooo good man! You really understand what this library is :D

I love this one! I've always found Borges' Library of Babel a super mind-blowing concept. And it was in my plan to make a digital version someday. But you (and someone else) have been faster than me :D In case you didn't noticed yet, there's another game in this jam about this topic, but it's not in full 3D:

http://ludumdare.com/compo/ludum-dare-37/?action=preview&uid=38743

I'm glad to see this kind of fresh ideas come to surface. To take worlds from other media and to implement them as "games" or "simulations" is so interesting for me.

Now, I want to ask you the same questions I've asked to the other developer, in order to see how accurate is the game respect to the novel: are the books' contents randomly generated? In the novel they were not. There was a limited number of books, not infinite, and each one was unique and different from the rest. If you generate them randomly, there could be two or more identical books. If they're not randomly generated... then how did you do it?? :D It's impossible to load all the variations of 410 pages x 40 lines x 80 characters. So you have to load them room by room. Then, they cannot be randomly generated, because that way could be repeated books. So in order to generate them, you have to sort them in some way. But then you have to "unsort" them. How?

illusianator by JeromWaarom 2016-12-18T03:55:00

Nice entry :) The voice recording quality is not very good, but I like the clean graphics and the game is fun to play. Loved the platformer part :D

RAINWATER (is free) by yuigoto 2017-01-03T01:41:00

Lovely game :) It's been a pleasure to play this. The gameplay is so smooth and polished, I've enjoyed quite for a while. Very funny take on the theme, and great job with sound and pixel-art!

Felt like a genius when I figured out the relation between falling scrap and water streams :D My best score: 141

Ask Her by Sorak86 2016-12-20T07:09:00

Woooow, this is so heeeavy in the end. I had a great time figuring it out for myself, and then getting totally shocked :D It's a very innovative interpratation of the "one room" theme. Moreover, you've done a great work with graphics: while eliminating the need for pixel art or modeling, you've still managed to generate empathy and make visuals go along with narrative. So, good work! I liked it very much :)

One Room Hotel by TerraCottaFrog 2016-12-18T21:38:00

One of the best games on this LD!!! I'm having a great time with it, very funny and addictive. Love the sound effects :D

As some people have already noted, it would be an interesting feature to add the posibility to change the hotel layout between days.

Anyway, congratulations for this awesome work!!

Simulated by Sheepolution 2016-12-18T03:43:00

Great work man! While not as crazy funny as Disarranged (which is actually one of my favorite LD games ever), this one is also a good entry. I finally managed to get to the ending :)

SkyCorridor by acotis 2017-01-02T21:43:00

Cool! I played it until the end (and there was a funny surprise :D). I find it pretty good balanced, not too hard but not too easy. Control is fine. It would be also funny to have kind of a "good ending" on the left side. When I saw the sign on the right side end I tried to go left at the beginning but there was nothing.

The Last Fish by PickleCrew 2016-12-18T20:17:00

Oh man, this game is much more hardcore than what it seems at the beginning :'( Hope that is not based on a true story :D

INFINIROOM by Patacorow 2016-12-20T06:37:00

Well done! Simple mechanic, yet very fun and addictive. I like it!

Your first room by Naca 2016-12-18T22:32:00

Thanks everybody for sharing your comments and thoughts :)

@acotis Yeah, the fast growing at the end of the game is unintentional. We had not enough time to polish these kind of details.

Regarding to the other issue you've introduced here, don't worry, there's no problem about starting a discussion. We'll explain our point of view: we don't see how this game could be "possibly offensive" at all in any way, to any person or collective, but you are free to explain your reasons if you want to do so. We can understand the "inappropriate for children" concern, but as we've made a cartoonish representation of a womb, and not a realistic one neither showed an explicit birth secuence, for now we're maintaining the entry as it is. Anyway, thanks for your feedback ;)

Your first room by Naca 2016-12-26T03:33:00

@panurge Thank you for your kind words :)

@acotis No problem, everything's ok :D Do not hesitate to share any other thought with us.

The More You Make by TerraCottaFrog 2017-12-27T16:43:22Z

Awesome entry. I love the meta interpretation of the theme :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes: Probably the best one I've seen so far. Moreover, the game feels really nice to players, every game is simple, challenging, and more or less well balanced. You did a very impressive job.

I played it with my brother, 3 rounds each game fighting for the best score, and we had tons of fun. Thank you for this game, mate

Hats On! by recursor 2017-12-11T15:55:50Z

Very good idea: simple, fun and addictive. I like it a lot!

Mallio Cart by Ava Skoog 2017-12-25T19:52:24Z

Funny take on the theme :D It shows in a quite accurate manner the stress of Christmas shopping.

Just a couple of thoughts: I would like the list to get ticked when I grab a product instead of remembering what I've already picked. Things get tricky especially when someone steals you an item. Also, some trolley crash-race mechanic would be extremely fun, but that seems to be a lot of work (and a lot of playtesting for a weekend).

Anyway, well done!

Super Team by Togimaro 2017-12-07T02:50:36Z

Awesome game with a fantastic soundtrack!! I had a great time playing it! I'm impressed by your extremely clever use of the theme. The game's difficulty is well balanced too: last level is tough but accessible.

I think my favorite song was the main menu theme. Btw, when I first saw the flower inevitably came to my mind Flowey from Undertale :D

The more hair you have... by Naca 2017-12-06T03:36:41Z

@rargrave @team-infernus As you may have noticed, the hair you see on some men is not a coincidence. We put it deliberately to represent the hipocrisy of some people with this topic. We thought that the player should not pluck their hair, but rather "pluck" their judjements. Anyway, your point of view is also interesting, and we may reconsider it for the future.

@jack-maxwell yeah, we know. It will be fixed soon.

The more hair you have... by Naca 2017-12-07T18:55:55Z

Thanks everybody for the valuable feedback!! We're very happy to see that our game is having this great reception!

The more hair you have... by Naca 2017-12-09T16:55:04Z

@lexi @gwolf86 Actually the game has only one ending (the text on a white background). If you've seen also the text on a black background, that's just a help tip in order to move forward in the game. Maybe we should make more clear the difference between them with some additional feedback for the player...

Anyway, glad you liked it and thanks! :)

The more hair you have... by Naca 2017-12-12T01:12:54Z

@regisrquoi We don't have a twitter account :/ You can contact me (Carlos) on [my gamejolt](https://gamejolt.com/@Naca), but honestly, I'm not a very active user (just another couple of LD entries). Anyway, I really love Ludum Dare, so it's very likely that I keep taking part in the following jams (hope at least once a year). You can also hit the "Follow" button in my LD user page so we become jamming friends hahaha :right_facing_fist::left_facing_fist:

Stuck in Parallel by Omiya Games 2017-12-25T18:29:43Z

Great concept and level design. Controls feel a bit clumsy, but I managed to get through the 5 levels without many restarts. As some people already mentioned, it's easy to get stuck between walls in level 4. Anyway, I liked it and a few more levels would be superb!

Where The Grains Are by axoona 2017-12-10T18:09:54Z

Nice short experience :) I've enjoyed it.

No Name Ninja Game by mooncalf 2017-12-07T01:51:24Z

Liked a lot the innovative game mechanic. Pretty hard though.

Hasempfeffer by fishbrain 2017-12-25T17:49:21Z

Simple yet fun mechanic, I enjoyed it. My best score: 13240

Tenant Chaos by Siege 2017-12-06T04:04:58Z

Pretty original take on the theme + nice soundtrack. Nowadays I live on the tenant side, so it's funny to play a game where I am the landlord :D The most common answer I get in real life is "Deal with it yourselves", so that one was also the most common I gave in the game.

Btw, some timers were too short and I was unable to read the full text.

Clicker Thingie by ludipe 2017-12-27T15:17:59Z

When I realized the slowly closing eye I felt that something was wrong... but kept on with my scale-farming loop. In the end, it was too late to fix my mistake. It makes me think about how a game's rules shape the player's behavior. Well done.

A Platformer for Ants by Elendow 2017-12-26T03:55:22Z

A classic genre with an unusual feature. I liked it, it's a clever interpretation of the theme from a platformer point of view :) My time: 4.12

Eight More Drinks, Please by rplnt 2017-12-13T00:08:21Z

Fantastic idea, but gameplay is quite frustrating :( It gets very hard really quickly, I loved the game but only managed to get 5 points... To be constructive, I think it could be improved in two ways:

1. Left/Right arrow keys to balance trays might work relative to camera and not relative to character. 2. A few more drink drops (3 for example) might be allowed, and not game over at 1 drop.

Anyway, graphics and sound are very good for the tight timetable of the compo. Well done!

Samurai Shaver by DDRKirbyISQ 2017-12-25T04:00:39Z

Very good entry! It's a funny concept and well implemented, everything feels really polished. Soundtrack is simply amazing. Congratulations!!

Btw, our entry is also about body hair, but with a completely different approach ;) I bet you'd like to check it out!

Life's A Glitch by gamepopper 2017-12-26T17:09:06Z

Nice take on the theme! Music and visuals make up a great combination and contribute to create this unique "glitchy" feeling. I like it.

Mr. Great President by spyispie120 2017-12-11T01:24:17Z

That was quite funny :D Not really sure about how things affect anxiety and popularity though. Anyway, it's obvious that the more Donald Trump you have, the worse it is!

Mr. Capital! by fluidvolt 2017-12-10T03:52:23Z

Great concept, excellent level design, lovely music track and it even has a social-aware message!!! Congratulations, you've made a top compo entry.

Save the Plants by joski 2017-12-10T16:58:22Z

Super fun gameplay! Very solid entry. My best score: 2.27. Great work!

Slightly annoying traffic by JOrbits 2017-12-06T03:33:22Z

Great gameplay! I enjoyed a lot (best score: 2700). It's also very funny to see how the road gets crazy when you fail :D

Something to improve would be the score visibility, I didn't notice that it was there until the 3rd play.

CalligraTree by Roaring Cat Games 2017-12-27T14:56:38Z

I love this kind of games, and particularly this one is very well made. I would like the gameplay to be slower, though. You have to be pretty quick clicking branch points, or they'll disappear (at least playing with mouse, maybe on a touch device feels more natural). It could be a nice game to relax, but in the end it's kind of fast-paced gameplay.

Anyway, it's a very good work and I enjoyed a lot :) I'm glad that you've made this wonderful piece, different from anything that we're used to. Congratulations!

unipsychle by niksg 2017-12-07T04:25:01Z

Very fun and addictive :D Love its simplicity.

Money transporter by lexi 2017-12-12T02:02:04Z

Great gameplay! The car goes a bit fast so it take me some time to get used to it, but once I was ready I really enjoyed the game.

Be Yourself by Noa Calice 2017-12-28T04:00:06Z

Great entry! Gameplay is too fast for me, but the game's look & feel is really good.

> The message in this little game is to always be ourselves, to not let society, opinions and judgements warp who we truly are !

That's fantastic. And it's implemented through gameplay in a very original way. The message in our game is pretty much the same, but applied to a concrete case ;) I bet you'd like it.

Farmland Invasion by CoderK 2017-12-10T19:25:50Z

Quite simple, but fun to play. Good work!

DO NOT FEED by Zorg 2017-12-26T17:33:38Z

Not bad for a few hours of work! I think this is a very original take on the theme, different from every other I've seen so far. With another couple of hours put on the background and dog sprites this could look really good. The other elements are pretty well made (pigeons, food and that sign that makes this game so funny and also so similar to real life situations :joy:)

Personally, I'm fine with games that don't have a win/lose condition. Indeed, I use to play many games like that, and I even made one for another jam. So that's not a problem for me.

Great Deal by sunnray 2017-12-11T20:15:52Z

As you say in the description, the game feels a bit unfinished, but it's an interesting concept and different from the things that we're used to play. I played it a few times and liked a lot the idea of expressing my feelings with my fingers :D

Pajuu - Always With You by Samurai Spark 2017-12-09T18:24:57Z

Beautiful experience. Not gonna lie, I'm a bit tired of raw platformer mechanics, but this one has a special mood that makes it stand out among others.

I'd like to contribute from a user testing perspective. Platforms are much more difficult than freeze mechanic. In fact, I've never failed because of using scarf too much (if it wasn't in the description I wouldn't notice), but I've failed lots of times on platforms. Also, a pretty annoying bug that I think should be fixed is what @aviland points out:

pajuu_capture.gif

The fox's flipping point at the head causes that behaviour when I hit A. But hey, it's only a tiny bug, the overall experience is fantastic!!

City Mayhem by Simon Rahnasto 2017-12-11T00:48:21Z

Had a great time looting the city :D It's pretty impressive that only one person made both art and programming for this game. Good job!

Furtive Fortune by Jake White 2017-12-07T17:17:02Z

Great concept and gameplay! At first I tried to get all coins, but then escape was absolutely impossible, so I played it a second time with only 8 coins. Even so, it was pretty hard!

Snow You Want to be a Snow Plow Driver? by Ductoman16 2017-12-11T19:42:36Z

Good take on the theme. It would be nice to see the snow plow's position in the city map. Also, the bug that makes it get stuck on building sides is a bit annoying, but the game is fun to play anyway. My best score: 1457.73

Property In-spectre by Tad 2017-12-06T01:58:45Z

Nice game, there are so many assets and two 3D animated characters, so one can see that you've put a lot of work on it. On the other side, control is not very accurate, but it doesn't make the game unplayable. Very good 2D art, also.

And thanks for the comment on our entry, mate. Glad you liked it :)

Hero Human Man-Pirate by Iamsodarncool 2017-12-09T04:49:19Z

5 star audio with no doubt for the main menu song and superb voice acting  The game is fun but extremely difficult. We're enjoying it, so we'll keep trying on the next few days (thanks to the savedata feature), but I don't think we will ever manage to beat it.

Anyway, well done. We as players can perfectly see that you had lots of fun making this game, so playing it feels really good. Main Menu -> Tune Yer Game -> Mute = NEVERRRRRR hahahahaha Best options menu ever :joy:

Finally, we'd like to thank you for your comment on our entry, it really touched us. The emotion sequence you described is exactly what we intended with our game. It is great for us to see that someone has gone through the experience just as we would like. So thank you again, for playing and for sharing your thoughts :)

Hero Human Man-Pirate by Iamsodarncool 2017-12-10T03:25:13Z

@iamsodarncool So no one has gone through the entire game yet... wow, that's pretty hard :D Can you tell us at least how many levels are there?

PHOTOPSIA. by Simon Stalhandske 2017-12-12T01:53:33Z

Quite interesting entry. Graphics are simple yet effective, main character animations are well polished, and music contributes to create a great alien atmosphere. I've especially enjoyed the music. Good work!

Multiple Escapees by rargrave 2017-12-06T23:46:09Z

Great concept! Level design is a bit unbalanced in my opinion, but the game is fun to play anyway.

Drugrun by Fluffi 2017-12-10T22:26:45Z

Very good game! I wasn't able to beat the final boss, but until that I enjoyed music, graphics, drug effects... everything was really cool.

My little advice is about the camera controller: for platformers, it always feels better when the camera does not jump when the player jumps (unless you want the player to experience some dizzy effect).

Btw I've checked out your itch.io user page and I absolutely loved "Beating assholes in some dungeon" :D I wonder what game engine you're using to create your games.

Retro Rocket Run! by gwolf86 2017-12-12T02:22:06Z

Very good for your first time in the compo! Coins seem to be pretty random, so I always tried to avoid them. My best score:

Aatmo by Gaming Night 2017-12-26T21:09:12Z

I like very much the core idea of the game. We jammers should always be questioning the main ideas of mainstream video games, and that's exactly what you do here. You address the common gamer behavior that is to accumulate wealth and power without thinking about how it is obtained, and that's really interesting. Indeed, I experienced this issue on my own with some commercial games.

Also, lovely visual design :) Congrats!

Mizu by sbarrio 2017-12-11T16:45:05Z

Very original idea :) There are many platformer games on the compo, but this one is the best I've played so far. Water-fill mechanic gives an special touch and level design is superb. The game is well designed and balanced. And the two last levels are really intense!! Well done!

POKED - be social by Faktori 2017-12-06T03:08:01Z

Awesome entry :D Very clever theme interpretation, I love it. You've captured perfectly the feeling of living sticked to your phone 24/7. I also love the cactus :cactus:

Waltz by Steffan 2017-12-25T17:31:24Z

Very innovative concept, I don't remember any similar music games. Although a bit difficult for a non-musician, I've managed to solve it :D Minimalist style works pretty good and the whole game is short but enjoyable. A few more levels/songs would be nice now that we are not subject to the tight deadline of the jam.

The Tulpa by nahual 2017-12-10T17:52:54Z

Wow, awesome experience. Despite the fact that keyboard control is a bit clumsy, the overall atmosphere feels reaaaaally good. Especially the outstanding use of light and sound. Well done, it was a pleasure to play this.

On the other hand, it doesn't seem to fit the jam's theme in any way. It looks more like you added the swirl effect in order to adapt the game to a concept that was totally unlinked to the theme. But hey, it's not mandatory that everyone follows the theme, it's just there to help some people with "blank page syndrome". It's only that I like the "theme interpretation" part of Ludum Dare jams.

The Lost City of Bhalrim by solluxx 2017-12-09T17:32:02Z

Lovely old school game :) The high level of polish and a wide variety of events makes it a great experience. Also, the treasure gathering mechanic is really clever.

findMyself by yellow attic 2017-12-25T18:03:39Z

I love the concept, and visual style is really good, it's a pity that you didn't have time to finish it. If you plan to keep working on it, a few sound effects would also be nice.

Don't Grow Ego by Sherwood 2017-12-06T02:48:22Z

I really enjoyed this one! Loved the clean and elegant style and the translation of the theme into a simple mechanic. Small entry, but extremely polished, with very good taste for graphics and music. Congrats!

Statues by giucapan 2017-12-07T16:56:01Z

What a beautiful plaything! Well done folks.

Greedy Guy! by farofa0 2017-12-10T23:58:40Z

Really good result for only 7 hours and your first time :) My best score: 30.

Wonder Tsum by regisrquoi 2017-12-07T04:07:29Z

Great entry! Really cool idea, although at some point it gets so hard that we didn't manage to finish it :/ The gameplay and general mood reminds us a bit of LocoRoco, a masterpiece of video games published on PSP a few years ago (if you didn't play it, you definitely should). Well done!

Also, thanks for your kind words on our entry :)

Wonder Tsum by regisrquoi 2017-12-10T18:52:49Z

@regisrquoi Sorry, didn't want to say that your game is too similar to anything. It has some things in common with LocoRoco, but Wonder Tsum has clearly its own style. Moreover, taking into account that there are hundreds of games with the exact same platformer/shooter mechanic, this one has a really unique design.

DJ Hamster by blinry 2020-04-22T21:53:27Z

That was funny, but, as @tomathor I think it was a little confusing to know the difference between the good and the bad things. The hamster is sooo cute. Well done! :)

How They Survived by Florent Juch 2020-04-22T21:25:05Z

Sooooo funny! Congrats! I loved the art and the credits pictures. I saved my egg and I enjoyed a lot. Well done! :)

Crab It Alive! by Naca 2020-04-22T17:05:51Z

Thank you everybody for playing and commenting!!

@mopkoo Actually the goal of the game is to make all the boats leave by returning them the trash they throw to the sea before all the fish are captured. We know that explaining the goal to the player is one of the biggest flaws of the game.

@huvaakoodia Thanks for the feedback! Some of your ideas were already on our roadmap but didn't have time to include them in the final game (fullscreen option, cutting fish lines). The other things you mention are also very interesting and we will consider them for a future version of the game :)

Crab It Alive! by Naca 2020-04-25T13:22:32Z

@ironjeff @luckyfeathers @hozoku Thank you very much for the valuable feedback!

@ironjeff > you can’t save all the fish no matter what you do, but maybe it’s part of the message?

I guess it is. Human activity produces irreversible transformations on many ecosystems, however much can be done to stop or partially amend some of these transformations.

@jelch Yes, you can win. Kind of. You can save some of the fish, not all of them though. The goal of the game is to make all the boats leave by returning them the trash they throw to the sea before all the fish are captured.

Crab It Alive! by Naca 2020-05-08T18:42:34Z

Thanks everybody for playing and commenting!!

@ryzy27 Thanks for sharing your playthrough notes, it's really valuable for us :) Crab pincers sound was crafted by knocking tongue against palate and recorded with a standard smartphone mic just like every other sound effect in the game, and then tweaked a bit in Audacity :P

Fade of Life by Sheepolution 2020-04-25T01:33:04Z

I'm a fan of yours since that hilarious sofa game :D You're giving away another ideal Ludum Dare entry this time: short, easy to play, funny, well polished, and with a whoa! moment that is the window fade effect! Well done again!

Busy Bee Business by HuvaaKoodia 2020-04-22T22:27:12Z

Graphics are really nice, especially the bee. Unusual control scheme for this kind of game, but that's also what makes it a challenge. Nice entry :)

the Isle by zillix 2020-05-09T17:10:24Z

A great narrative entry powered by excellent graphic/audio features. The visual style combined with that tense music creates a really cool and unique atmosphere. I like it a lot.

The Vending Machine by wrexialmt 2020-05-06T20:14:18Z

Your entry is clearly different from the rest for sure! :D I like to play weird stuff, but there's not much to do in this one. Or maybe there is, but I didn't noticed. My score: 1261

Keep IT Alive by waylon531 2020-05-08T19:42:07Z

I work in an office and I can confirm this game is an accurate representation of an office job, doesn't matter if it's 90's, 00's or 10's. Colors and GUIs have changed over the years but the corporate bullshit, the pointless activities and the alienation of workers remain the same. Glad to see takes on the theme like this one.

Also, the game has a lot of content and every detail is taken into account. Hope you add to the game some office ambience too, the youtube video does the trick but it would be better to have it in-game. Anyway you made a great entry!

P.S. I want a "dead inside" sticker for my office computer ASAP

Fuel Onward! by Drury 2020-05-08T20:40:42Z

This one was very fun! Fantastic graphics, nice soundtrack and gameplay is also great. Everything fits really well and I love how the game takes you through different stages. It was a big surprise when the captain asked me to chop the deck, and after that to throw his pegleg into the engine!

At first I didn't know how to deal with the storm but I gave it a second try and reached the island. Very clever design, well done!

EDIT: I think control scheme would be more comfortable if you set UP to jump and DOWN to interact with both shovel and axe (could be played with one hand).

Fox! Hen! Bag! by 0x01F0 2020-05-01T12:06:10Z

Nice adaptation of the classic river crossing puzzle :) You did a really good job with the graphics and sound, especially the character animations are soooo cute

The only thing I don't like very much is that fade out when you get on and off the platform, couldn't it be always open and just have a button or something like that?

Friday at Barney's by AnaGF 2020-04-22T22:10:49Z

The art is very interesting, congrats! As @boxedmeatrevolution said, it was pretty annoying to have to replay the game from the begining, but it was fun to play. Well done :)

Potater Toss by BoxedMeatRevolution 2020-04-27T16:30:42Z

Well that was different from all the entries I've seen before :) Glad to see some new ideas! Also this game is very well made and fun to play in my opinion. Congrats!

Cyto Killer: Save Our Cells! by loveapplegames 2020-05-08T22:09:10Z

Awesome game!!! I smashed that invaders and cleared all stages!! It was hard and confusing at first, but I kept playing and suddenly it turned into a fun and smooth experience.

There are lots of different enemies and defenses. I bet it was a real programming challenge to get this done: procedural generation and movement, balanced gameplay and no bugs or broken things at all! I am quite impressed with your entry. I only wish I had more time at the beginning of each stage to place my defenses properly instead of doing it in a rush. If you polish graphics a bit this will be 10/10. Congratulations!

Life of the Party by jelch 2020-04-25T13:41:23Z

Great take on the them and the music is really cool. The only thing I really miss is some movement in the party or character animations.

Keep It "Alive" by jantunes 2020-05-05T23:05:36Z

This is too good to be true  Greatest take on the theme I've seen so far. I had so much fun shouting Alive! Probably because I love shouting games as well as I love this song. I'm showing this right now to my friends, even non-gamers.

As others already said, if you add some feedback after each shout this will be 10/10.

Keep it aloft by Papaver 2020-05-09T15:35:49Z

Lovely graphics and music, I had a great time with this one. But the controls feel a bit clumsy, can't tell exactly why. Maybe they're too sensitive? Anyway, great game overall!

Flock for Feast by Antti Haavikko 2020-05-09T16:07:35Z

Impressive work for a Compo entry! Music is fantastic, gameplay is fun and addictive, procedural level generation (or it's just many different levels, I don't know)... The game also feels complete and well polished, it's a pleasure to play. Congratulations!

Keep it Olive! by Nathalia Hohl 2020-05-11T03:52:30Z

Great concept! The game is fun and well polished. My best score was 230 :)

House Bouncers by LuckyFeathers 2020-04-25T13:59:54Z

Very innovative take on the tower deffense genre :D The game has many features so you've done a great job in just a weekend. Character animations are very expressive and they really add life to the scene.

Keep it alive by Hexa3 2020-05-01T12:17:08Z

Good first-time entry! If you've made all the art and sound yourself you can consider it a success to have something finished and playable :)

The game looks great, gameplay is simple but fun. The only lack is the increasing difficulty over time that this kind of games usually have. Anyway, good work!

Hell Yeah! by ryzy27 2020-05-07T23:07:03Z

Amazing pixel art and nice gameplay! At first it was a bit difficult to understand what I'm supposed to do, but after reading carefully the instructions the game was really fun in my opinion. Great entry!

Mutiny by Cataractar 2020-05-04T20:38:39Z

Love pirate games! And this one is quite good! I think if you add a bit of pirate music it could be really great. The game feels already well balanced, any player can win but must be focused all the time. The visual style looks funny and polished, although some additional animation would be nice.

Small UX suggestion, I sent a sailor over the plank by accident once, so in my opinion some sort of confirmation action would be nice to prevent this.

Congrats for such a great pirate entry!!

Google: The Good Boy by Sarrixx 2020-04-23T19:03:18Z

The fish animation and the underwater effect are amazing. The camera movement is very realistic in my opinion. I like the general mood of this plaything!

P.S. If you like creatures of the sea you should check out our entry :P

Soul Seed by unept 2020-05-07T23:36:09Z

Great platformer! Very well designed and polished, a pleasure to play.

MandaTrouble by mineiwik 2020-05-06T20:13:06Z

Nice entry, I bet there is some mandalorian inspiration behind the main character ;) The gameplay is simple but well made. Congrats!

Keep Joe Alive by Sanguis 2020-04-27T23:24:08Z

Gorgeous pixel art and music! And I love your interpretation of the theme. It's so easy to relate with Joe :D Countless times I went to work in the morning as sleepy as him.

Cursor by MiracL 2020-05-01T16:20:43Z

This game is so well made. Everything fits perfectly and is cleverly balanced. Motion, shape and color seem to dance together. Congratulations!

Tons of fun with this one, I even climbed up to 4th! :star2: I wonder for how long

Soaring by Talops 2020-04-27T23:10:13Z

Music and graphics are nice and flight controls run smoothly in my opinion. So the overall gameplay feeling is very good but the game is pretty hard to beat, I couldn't complete it.

Penguin March by ilPrinny 2020-05-04T19:56:44Z

Nice entry! I made it in easy mode with 98 :) The only thing I really miss is a scrolling background that helps to see when the penguins are moving.

Horny Rhino by Hozoku 2020-04-23T19:47:10Z

It's awesome to find entries like this one. The game is short and simple but extremely beautiful and polished, while at the same time delivers an important message. Really well done here. And IMHO it's perfectly fine to talk about important issues from a humorous point of view.

That said, we've also made a game that talks about how human activity has a negative impact on other life forms on Earth, and as you did, not with a serious approach. We would be very pleased if you check it out and share your thoughts with us.

Perish alive by Lyrcaxis 2020-05-01T10:06:13Z

The game is really fun, I replayed several times. As others said, at first is a bit hard to understand until you get used to it. Graphics are just amazing and music is great too. Awesome entry! Well done!!

Father dies At The End by nahual 2020-05-09T00:44:38Z

You created a really harsh atmosphere that got me in tension for the last few minutes. Realistic graphics and high quality voice acting are not usually seen in LD entries, so you're making a clear difference with this game. I cannot say it was a pleasant experience, but the work behind it is definitely remarkable.

Leap Of Faith by ryan123rudder 2020-05-09T17:25:20Z

Nice entry, but it's too hard for me, I couldn't reach the ocean :( I like the take on the theme, also graphics and music are quite good. Well done!

Grow Up by prokischd 2020-05-08T19:06:26Z

Nice chill experience. I like the use of color in hanging clothes, it looks beautiful.

Ultimate Kick Ball by Random Thoughts 2020-05-09T14:42:10Z

The core mechanic is simple but the game feels really good: that bounce effect is superb and the main character movement is well polished. My high score: 2737

Sunlit by palsina 2020-04-23T17:36:52Z

What a wonderful zen experience. I enjoyed it a lot.

I think there's a bug if you play it with your touchpad and try to scroll upwards, but I didn't mind and played until the end anyway.

Bodyguard for Chicken by Aret24 2020-04-25T14:06:53Z

The gameplay is nice and the character design is so cute. Great work!

Snowy Night by Roalinn 2020-04-27T15:57:05Z

Nice entry! The pixel art looks great and the atmosphere is very unique. I'd only change one thing: the minimap is not really necessary and it cancels a bit the "lost in the woods" mood of the game. Anyway this is a good work.

UnArchive by mitjmcc 2020-05-08T18:07:05Z

Interesting concept, but I could only make it to the aqueduct. Rotating its pieces without gizmos was too frustrating for me.

Hospital Ride by The1 2020-05-11T03:16:07Z

Never thought that drifting with an stretcher through the hospital could be so fun :D Collisions with walls have some sort of bug, but the game looks polished aside from that. It's challenging and addictive, when you clear a level you just want to play more. Cool game!

The Keep is Alive by OwlyCode 2020-04-22T22:37:09Z

Nice concept and funny gameplay!

The Tree of Life by Unicorn Studios 2020-05-09T01:33:29Z

Lovely pixel art. You picked colors very wisely, the game looks fantastic! Sadly it was too difficult for me and I couldn't keep the forest alive, but it was fun to play :)

PLATEAU MELODY by Hydezeke 2020-04-24T19:53:52Z

Gorgeous musical game! The music is fantastic and the game world sends really great vibes. Well done!

The Last Humans by FumiKnight 2020-04-22T21:02:18Z

Very interesting the sound radar! I loved that and the colors that you choose. The resource icons maybe needed more work, but it was funny to play. Well done :)

Living Light by zubspace 2020-05-09T21:05:11Z

Glad to see another awesome game made with Godot! It seems very difficult at first, but once you get used to the movement of main character and enemies it's really enjoyable. Level design is nice and you've made a great work coding that positional 2D audio component, it really improves the play experience. Had a lot of fun and my best score was 366, ranked #10 in all time leaderboard!

PollUFO by OddSocks 2020-04-24T20:15:16Z

I like your take on the theme. We've followed pretty much the same idea in our game. Fighting back humans that destroy and pollute the planet is a great goal :) Also kudos for the handmade sound effects. Again, we also like to create our own sound effects with our voice, it's very fun to record and tweak them for the game.

The Cause by enderr42 2020-04-23T18:25:11Z

I like the revolutionary theme and the gameplay style :fire: :fire: You've done a great job writing many different card descriptions, it makes me always want to discover another one. I played 3 or 4 times and the game feels pretty well balanced.

Little bug report: if you drag a card to the revolution planner and then try to drag it to the trash, it gets stuck on the planner and you're no longer able to put other card in its place (at least in WebGL version).

Joe, the balance by Gonzo13 2020-04-24T16:26:02Z

Great concept and well executed, but a bit too difficult for me!

Coal Of Duty by Empheon 2020-05-09T14:55:17Z

Lovely artwork and music. Animations are also pretty good, I especially like the one that plays when you kick out a monster :punch:

Keep Me Breathing by AstroLabe 2020-04-21T19:18:22Z

We love the color palette you choosed for the game :) It took us 4 attempts to finally save the plant and it was really nice to play. The RGB matcher is hard to control at first, but once you get used to it the game feels pretty well balanced. Congrats!

Keep Him Alive by Convg 2020-05-10T22:09:25Z

Graphics are a bit simple but gameplay is solid and you did a great level design. I don't think I can add anything more to what other people have already said. Good work!

DI(e)NO(t) by Thibaud Ligneul 2020-05-08T17:48:33Z

Love your cute dinos!! I like this game very much. I even managed to survive with more than 1 dino after a few replays, I think there were 5 but in the end the game did not tell me how many! If you add a dino count to the end screen it would be a nice improvement in my opinion.

Every other aspect of the game is fantastic: lovely artwork, great and diverse music for each age, proper animations... and dinos wearing fancy hats  It's such a great work, congratulations!

current by zzox 2020-05-09T14:28:41Z

Nice sokoban-ish entry! Level design was really good and that weighted pieces and piranhas add many new possibilities to the puzzles. Moreover, graphics and sound were nice, the music is very appropriate for an underwater scene. Great work!

Resquack by SorgardTeam 2020-05-01T00:45:09Z

Great game with a lot of different assets and gameplay elements! I really liked how weather conditions affect the duck movement. Well done!

THE PATH by theblackfrog 2020-05-01T10:53:16Z

Absolutely fantastic. I see this game as kind of a frogger but with a real focus on animal struggle for survival in a world conquered by humans. The very first part of the game, when the other chicks are killed by the rubber wheels of a fast and loud shadow that makes the floor tremble... that's devastating. I think it really makes the player get into a chicken's point of view.

Moreover, you chose the right control scheme for the game: the chick obeys your orders but his moves are a bit unpredictable at the same time, which gives me a feeling of constant tension. Graphics and sound are just perfect to create that crude atmosphere.

Can't wait to play the extended version. You did an amazing work guys, congratulations!

P.S. We've also made a game about human impact on animal life, but with a very different approach. We'd be happy to hear your thoughts.

How to Air by kwaku 2020-04-22T22:14:42Z

Lovely art work mixed with the classic point-and-click mechanic creates a great overall experience. Well done!

Franky by HadB 2020-04-25T01:47:34Z

The enemies become too fast for me at some point, but the concept is great and maybe you can polish the game with a little more time working on it. Congrats for your first Ludum Dare! To submit a game it's already an achievement, it doesn't matter if it's finished or not.

The Consequences of Gardening by JMad 2020-05-09T21:48:10Z

I've seen a lot of games about plant care in this jam, but this one is definitely unique! The story is very funny and pixel art is amazing, great work! Also in Kaz's room I found an X-Wing and... is that the mask from Crash Team Racing? :D

Fire is Friend by Joe Chatfield 2020-04-22T21:19:51Z

Nice! It was so interesting and so funny! I loved the concept and the gameplay. It took me a couple times to understand it, but I enjoyed it a lot :)

60 click to Alive by Maverick Fan 2020-04-22T20:48:54Z

Interesting but a little confusing... I was wondering if I was playing for a couple times, some audio would be appreciate. It has some very funny moments anyway. Well done :)

balloons by Mopkoo 2020-04-23T17:40:13Z

Sorry but I cannot see any download link or browser game in your itch.io page. Let me know if you upload it again!

balloons by Mopkoo 2020-04-25T00:55:20Z

Finally played it... and I've been playing for quite a while! Reached 3000m (normal mode) I loved the way the balloon is fueled and moved in x and z axis, always keeping an eye on each gauge. Great idea and great execution.

As others have commented, the control scheme for keyboard is a bit weird. Holding space to move Tim is not comfortable and I would prefer using Q and E or arrow keys. Great job anyway!

Hedgehog Survival by Vaanrile 2020-05-09T16:51:18Z

Cute little game! Every summer we have two or three hedgehogs that keep coming at night to our grandma's orchard and we love that little creatures.

In the game it took me a while to figure out that placing a hedgehog in the way of another will cause them to turn around. I was scoring just a few seconds but after that I managed to keep them alive until 2:05 :)

BTW we also made a game about keeping alive wild creatures from human dangers, hope you have a few minutes to check it out!

Mind The Vagazar by Ryan Ackermann 2020-04-30T23:51:02Z

Nice entry :) It's a great work with graphics and audio, and the core idea of the game is also very good. As others already commented, the only problem I find is that the game gives no sense of progression. But I know that's hard to do within the little time of the compo. I'm in the jam and even with that extra 24 hours I struggle with the same issue in my games.

Rift Defender by RK-17 2020-04-22T22:48:18Z

Nice entry. The camera is a bit too close to the player in my opinion, I wish I could zoom out a bit in order to see whats going on in each room. The game is fun to play though.

The Lightwielder - Ludum Dare 46 by 1StepCloser 2020-05-04T23:06:58Z

Amazing pixel art!! Reminds a bit of Superbrothers: Sword & Sworcery, beautiful game btw. Your entry is enjoyable despite it has no ending. Sound is also good and contributes to create a magical atmosphere.

One more thing, you should add a changelog if you're adding more cutscenes and bugfixes to the game, and maybe also keep a link to the jam version. Anyway great work!

Social Distancing For LadyBugs by mehrdadsh 2020-04-30T23:26:16Z

Pretty good for your first jam, simple game but well made.

Mr. Cheesy by SAVVU 2020-04-25T13:32:16Z

Very funny game and great work with music and graphics :) Well done!

To Be Alive by Withee Poositasai 2020-04-24T15:11:48Z

Great concept and level design! I managed to get them out of the zoo :)

Now That's A Cool Sun by Raxe612 2020-04-25T13:09:33Z

You really had a great idea for the core mechanic. The game is very fun to play, last level is pretty difficult but I enjoyed it a lot. Congrats!

Fire Game by dceddy7 2020-04-22T21:43:19Z

That was funny to play! I have been transporting materials for a long time to collect many near the bonfire and finally see that I did not need all of them, that has disappointed me a little. But I really enjoyed it. Nice choice of color. Congratulations! :)

Escape With Alive by Arefnue 2020-04-25T00:07:03Z

Interesting game mechanic. It feels a bit unbalanced for me, I could not beat it after many tries, but I think with a bit more playtesting and parameter tweaking you can make a great fast-paced game with this concept.

Time Travel Terror by Philip Sawyer 2020-05-05T00:05:45Z

Well this is actually really fun! Graphic quality is a bit low, but the game is really well designed and balanced. There are many possible objects to craft and different enemies, and the player has to manage time and resources carefully. Also kudos for the day/night cycle, it looks great. Well done!

SaverTato by LebbyFoxx 2020-05-01T00:09:38Z

I'd like to play your game but I'm using someone else's PC to play windows entries, so I cannot install anything. Please let me know if you publish an standalone version and I'll give it a try.

Home Alone Party by Dedicave 2020-04-22T21:58:52Z

Great entry! Music is superb! My favourite tracks are the 3rd and the 5th (counting from the left). It's a bit slow at the beginning but very fun to play after a few minutes. It would be awesome if you add a "dance" action for the main character :)

Also, I experienced a few issues while playing. First time HTML5 version crashed and I downloaded the macOS version, but then the first door would not open (the one that leads to the kitchen locked with :lock:10). Let me know if you upload a fix, I'll be glad to play it entirely.
