I enjoyed the art and found the game humorous. The particles that come out of the brush felt a bit out of place with the rest of the art.
Funny dialog, but I unfortunately couldn't figure out how to play myself.
I think following @t-mw and @weine 's advice would definitely help.
I enjoyed learning how to play just from the design of the first and second level. Suggestion: Maybe add a counter next to the door to better indicate how many tiles you have left until the door closes.
I agree with @fingamer and encountered the same issues as @moontigr .
The art style was nice.
@jamison No, you were doing it right. Are you using the Mac build by any chance?
Liked it! I would agree with the restart button, maybe along with hitting "R" restarts as well.
Nicely polished and enjoyable!
In addition to music and the sounds others have suggested, putting a ticking sound on the clock could increase the suspense/stress, getting slightly louder as the time decreases.
I liked the color pallete. It was a lot of fun. Enjoyed the music too. There's some layering issues where the gems(?) are sorted underneath the turrets so you may miss them. Great job.
Really cute! It does feel like the loop becomes no food, stop for food, repeat.
The swords ships are the best. Explosion sounds were loud compared to the rest of the sound levels.
The timer is good for pressure, but it felt too short. By the time I got the hang of the controls and making waves, I had run the time out 3 times. No one else mentioned that, so it could be just me ha. Agree with them on the concept and graphics.
Love the lighting and the darkness. I also appreciate the platform corner correction/slide. It's fun to throw the torch into the next campfire.
Enjoyed this a lot! Hits that Peggle itch
Beautiful game. Game play wise, I ran into a few difficulties: - The camera follows the mouse too much and it gets hard to see the game if you get frantic aiming around - Some of the rooms are very small for ranged combat, leaving no room to run away and charge your spell enough to actually fire - It's hard to tell whats activated in the equip runes menu, or how things connect to each other. For instance I thought I was supposed to just click on a rune to activate it, then I found I was supposed to drag them around to change the configuration?
I liked it! Good music and pretty chill for a tower defense. One suggestion I have is to have the max number of enemies shown in game too, like `XXX / 250` to be clearer.
Really cool! Love seeing your stuff. I will say the resource management and building didn't work out too well for me though. Like the sun gave too much pressure and I didn't have time to read and understand what each building did on my first attempt so I wound up just building random buildings and hoped for the best. Don't know if you considered having a pause or slow down time button, but those might give players more time to consider building options. Might take away from the stressful chaos of the game. Flying around siphoning resources from planets while outrunning the sun is very fun. And of course, amazing look and feel!
Great cohesive art. Fun gun play. Noticed enemies getting stuck on corners and doorways.
Nicely done! Gonna have to get that song out of my head. It would have been nice to have the lasso return to you after you've thrown it.
I somehow forgot you could jump after launching the game which makes the game infinitely more difficult ha. I didn't quite have the patience for this sort of game, but I think there's definitely an audience for this game!
Fun! Great concept. Sometimes it wasn't clear that I had hit a table so fell too far before realize the punch had been reset.
Cool little game! Like the inclusion of different game modes. A way to rotate a piece would help a lot with the game feel of the game.
Good effort! I agree with the cutscenes comment @comicsans made, skippable would be even better for your second time through. I found it hard to tell if I was actually damaging the bigger enemies, adding some more feedback like flashing the sprites red or white would help a ton.
Amazing game! Super well executed gameplay and art! Only thing I can think of that could be improved is sometimes the character doesn't always face the direction of movement, but I might be hallucinating. Great work!
Neat game! Only things I noticed was 1. sometimes it felt like the raycast(?) to place the tile placement blue block was blocked by the buildings so I'd have to rotate the camera to place something 2. and like others have said, not knowing how to generate belief and the only structure that generates belief, the altar, needs 60 belief to build!
Like you said at the end of your game description, the basic structure is there, and it's a real solid base. Just needs some balance tweaks!
Love this so much! Great art and simple but well put together gameplay!
Really cool concept! I think any confusion I had playing the game would be fixed with an in game tutorial, but of course not always time for that while jamming!
Pretty fun! The game is a great combo of blood splatter and numbers popping in the wake of your little minion balls. The art is effective for the game as well.
Nice concept! Love the work done on the brush sticking to surfaces. Couldn't always find the last dirty spot on a lamp. Also nice art and style.
Amazing game! I like the strategy and balance during the summoning and upgrading phase. I agree with the others about summons throwing themselves off the edge. I think that can be an interesting balance against favoring summons with *too* much speed, but it's particularly annoying when they push each other off the board after they've already defeated all of their enemies before the round ends. Made it to Round 14!
I like it! Don't know if this was RNG, but the first four or so floors didn't have any enemies. I did eventually hit a floor with enemies in multiple rooms and felt like I got the intended experience at that point haha.
Great art and music! I'm not sure I ever scared the ghost hunter but fun haunting the house nonetheless.
Nice game! Love the art, animations, and music. One recommendation and one bug: would be great to be able to jump through the thinner platforms, or make them thicker to avoid that similarity to thin passable platforms, and also since the enemies can push the player around they were able to corner me and push me into the wall in the corner of one room.
