As per usual sodaraptor as provided the world with yet another masterpiece display of textures on lowpoly geometry.
I liked the game A LOT. But i have notes!
The shaking effect on the player character did not feel like "rage" so much as it felt like a visual glitch. The music loop was very short. The bullet noise variation was very small. The rage mechanic, while yes, IS unstable, it was also not even a part of the game beyond wave 5 after you've upgraded to to the point where it is no longer a problem. The enemies didn't seem to scale at all. Not being able to shoot while holding down the mouse is fine except for how awful the shot speed was - this is why a lot of games avoid making the two inclusive and opt for a reload mechanic instead.
Again, super DUPER happy to see anything sodaraptor puts out. Been a huge fan since playing hynagogia and after seeing that he posted on itchio on the same jam as me I HAD to come and play it.
The game is so cool ! Congratulations
This game captured me! I like everything except for some minor issues. Aim isn't precise, the camera doesn't make me see well below, and the rage mechanic doesn't make the game so unstable (well, if you mean rage as an unstable emotion, it is, but it's not perceived while playing). I hope you will make a fully developed game like this in the future, can't wait to play it! Good job.

This is a very well-done top-down shooter with a nice nostalgia attached to it from the days of campy PS1 and PS2 campy platformers and shooters I used to play a lot like Jak and Daxter 🤣 Music was awesome and I loved the emotional instability of the wolf. Great job guys!
I love the visuals. Staged upgrades in shop are cool. Enraged state feels really unstable. =)

Such a wild ride! The graphics and gameplay are top notch! Could've used a few more enemies, and the game doesn't really get harder in the later rounds, but hey 3 days, I get it.
I'm not a big fan of the upgrade that reduces your rage time, though. The short rage means you often just throw yourself into a crowd before you can even react. I realize there's some invincibility but I still found myself constantly thrown into bad situations. I don't mind it as option, but I just wish I could cycle it. I think a shop refresh would've been nice.
Cool visuals and solid classical survival shooter gameplay. I don't too like this genre, but why not for this entry?

Visuals and setting are superb. Gameplay also kept me busy. The Upgrade system and the way enemies explode make the gameloop very satisfying. Good Job!
Man this was good, you could just tell from the get go that it was a great entry, loved the enraged mode. Well done to the team.

Very good looking game, pretty decently fun. I wish more work was put into the enemies' AI though, it lags behind in quality compared to the rest of the game. Good job nonetheless

I really liked the game. She is bold and bright in music, gameplay and visuals. The wolf is just gorgeous. Visual effects in the form of blood and explosions are a separate respect. And the idea and the berserk mode also works pretty well. Make enemies different and can be released as a finished game for sale.
Bloody fancy brilliant!
Yo, this has some capital S "SSSCHTYYYYLE". 😎👍

I love art style. I also really like shooters, so it shouldn't be surprise that I also love the game play 😎 I would like to have more levels to play
great graphics and audio!

Great cohesive art. Fun gun play. Noticed enemies getting stuck on corners and doorways.
Absolutely amazing presentation with awsome PS1 graphics. Theres some good mecanics here along with the shop. Only issue is gameplay gets boaring and repetitve very fast. Only one enemy type makes the gameplay lack any depth or challange. I just decided to stop after beating round 10, beucase it just played out no differnt than all the others. More enemy types would tie better in to your mechanics and make them meaningful.
pretty juicy game! i think it could use more enemy types.

The graphics and presentation in general were really cool! Gameplay balance was a bit off as player got really overpowered after a few upgrades, but shooting itself felt great at ridiculous fire speeds.
The variety in upgrades was great, as well as how quickly they added together and how quickly you became overpowered too - I loved the feeling of power. The unique mechanic was also a good addition, and it provided some interesting challenges: charge through the horde of enemies, but risk having it run out too early? I would've to see it expanded upon more! The graphics were also really nice, and I appreciated the amount of blood and particles and explosions; there was nothing quite like walking through a sea of red after the end of a wave. Great work, it was a really fun game!
VERY cool! Really liked the look of the game, the level layout was solid, and the powerups were an excellent touch. I do think that the shooting wasn’t quite precise enough for my liking, I found that I was always shooting the side of where the reticule was pointed and sometimes zombies got obscured in doorways in a way I didn’t appreciate, but all in all this was a great effort and I had an awesome time (I played the 0.4 version).

The idea is nice and plays well. The graphics are very cool and the zip is super small for a game that colorful ^^.
I experienced a lot of collision issues with enemies, that couldn't walk forward anymore or were thrown around by the physics engine, but that couldn't spoil the fun.
The upgrade system is a plus too and all in all it's a fun game!
Keep it up and thanks for submitting!
Super addicting game, enough to get me to round 10. The way the game evolves has you firing like 10x a second. At that point it feels more like an incremental game than anything, which isn't a bad thing. The firing rate upgrade + more enemies spawning + 1-hit kills creates and epic-feeling game!
I don't think this balance was intentional, but it actually seems like the upgrades naturally put you at a dead end. For example, with 1-hit kill you can probably just sit in a safe corner and shoot all day. However, the rampage mechanic forces you to run out of the corner. Normally this isn't too bad and you could run back, but eventually you'll pile on so may upgrades that shorten your duration that you're just rampaging every few seconds. At that point you might as well just play normally. However, that was what got me killed eventually. So if that was an intentional balance design it is a clever one. If not.......it's still a clever one.
Very cool graphics, the early game was a bit slow for me
Nice game ! First of all the graphics are very interesting with these painted textures on lowpoly, that's neat. The ambiance was here but a little disappointed that the music loop is too short(not that I'm saying the music itself is bad). Gameplay is sure kind of releasing, but rapidly repetitive at least for me. There is upgrades to add a little twist and its give an "unleashing" feel that is really cool, but sadly leads to an end where you just shoot and wait. But that's it, the game already gives me some good feelings while playing it and that's very cool. Clean entry !
Solid game! The graphics are great, and the whole low poly vibe is so cool. Gameplay could be a bit more varied, but for just 3 days, great job
The movement seemed a bit glitchy, and I did find the gameplay a bit easy. I really enjoyed the aesthetic, though!

nice game
I love the cover.
Had fun with this one. The graphics are very well done, with nice-looking low-poly art and nicely-made sprites. The music and sound effects are really good as well. The gameplay is a pretty simple twin-stick shooter, but works well. Though, it does seem like the enemy movements freak out a bit from time to time-the enemies will be moving slowly and then the next thing I know they are launching themselves at me, and there seems to be very little indication of when it's going to happen (if it was intentional). Despite that, the gameplay is very satisfying. Great work, overall.

an absolute BANGER of a submission! The background song was amazing, and the entire presentation was just badass. Fun gameplay too, this could easily be made into a full game. Great job!

Enjoyed it! Great visuals, good music, decent sound effects, and fun gameplay that I found to be a bit too easy. Didn't encounter any bugs or weirdness, so well done on the polish! Overall a very solid entry, with a few things I could nitpick, like the interpretation of the theme being sort of common, but nothing that outshines the positives! :)

Awesome visual design and aesthetics. The art for the wolf in the lower right corner was sick. The shooting is nice and crunchy as well. The arena is nicely designed and has a nice amount of pathways though I kinda wish you could jump over that one step next to the upper door. I originally did wish that you could hold mouse click to shoot instead of clicking and the powerup showed up in the shop at the right time lol. Speaking of which, the game was a little easy and it was only after getting more upgrades like the multiple bullets and using the other upgrades to increase the spawn rates of enemies that it got harder. I guess it's nice this way that players can choose their own difficulty, though I wish that the number of enemies you had to kill in a single wave for later waves was increased. I felt a little cheated after killing only a few enemies for later waves lol. The game does need more enemy types but the type which is here looks cool. The rage mode is brutal and does fit the theme since you have to be a little careful where you really trigger it though it really matters only in later waves. Especially when you have the one-hit upgrade lol. All in all it's a cool entry in a cool setting. Really great and really fun in it's current form.
This game is too disgustingly good. Perfect score all around, well done
Awesome game! With some polish and balancing I could play this for a long time! I would love to see new weapons in the future too!
Looks neat, any chance of a Mac or Web version?
Great Job! Well polished game and I love the artwork and the audio.
@shaolin-dave - not at this time, but we may upload one before the LD voting cycle ends
Quite a technically impressive game. Polished enough to add some planar reflections in the (blood?) puddles.
Audio was overall fitting; the music was solid and the sound effects were clear. However, I got to a point where I was shooting so fast the bullets were exceeding the max concurrent audio sources limit so they all got cut out (this was around round 12). That aside, the shooting sound was a little on the smooth side and could use a little more punch, but that's nitpicking.
Graphics were simple geometry-wise, but everything looked aesthetically pleasing. Not sure what the relevance was, but I like the movie set motif. Just seemed kinda fun.
Balance/power curve could obviously use a bit of tweaking, but it's a jam game so I can't fault you guys for that. More just mentioning for completion-sake.
My only real suggestions would be to 1) do something about the zombie spawn points and 2) make those invisible walls more obvious. There were quite a few times I tried to walk down a hallway only to realize it wasn't a real path and was blocked by an invisible wall since it looked the same as the other hallways (only with a fade to black at the end). Regarding the spawn points, there were quite a few times a zombie would literally spawn on top of me, resulting in instant damage. Perhaps it would be be better to check if a spawner is too close to the player before picking it as a spawn point? That would also incentivize roaming around the map rather than camping a known spawn point.
I know this sound like a lot of critique, but honestly the higher the potential a game has, the more detailed my feedback tends to be, so take that as a compliment. It just makes the areas a game falls short more obvious when everything else is held to such a high standard. :stuck_out_tongue: Overall, a really high quality submission though, so good job.

The game was fun and looked really good. The audio was also great.
My only complain is the game felt too easy. And it ends too soon :'(. I think you could just made them spawn for ever since there is not real ending.
Good job !
Wow the amount of art you pulled off in 3 days is nuts. Super ambitious, and you totally pulled it off. Upgrading my werewolf and blasting away so many enemies felt awesome! Great work.
One of the best titles of this edition! Too bad for the camera. I would have preferred to cure her a little more. Good job

This visuals are more than great! Music is booping! XD
Art/feel is fantastic and there's some great variety in this to mix it up [not necessarily enemy type variety, but skill trees, unlockables etc].
Cool aesthetic, fun to play - what's not to like? This is a really solid effort, well done!

It was the most dynamic game I have ever tried on this jam. It was really cool. But, damn it... Too little content. No variety of weapons, purchases are very stupid and practically break the game. The same purchase of reducing the duration of the rage - as a result, after purchasing 5 in a row, it reduces it to almost one frame. Well, unstable itself through rage is boring, since you can kill and so. And there is no challenge to the player. But thanks for the fun anyway).
This is fun! Nice work for a weekend! No real feedback I can leave. The game had simple controls, it had an an addicting factor to it, looks great, and even has great sound!

I really liked this game. I'm still trying to figure out of that line in the robed merchant's hood is a chin or a giant smile!
@heiach it's her chin :)
