Art/pallette is inspired and it's clever to make theworld-building necessarily happen in the interpretation of the player - but of course textless/non-explained games are a double edged sword - because you can't convey a tale in depth, the puzzles and interactions necessarily become more simplified/maybe trivial.
I'd be interested to see this game taken in a direction like a game like Samorost, for instance - I think it's a fertile concept.
The visuals were amazing and it's a lot of silly fun (the wacko physics certainly didn't hurt) - controls gave me a bit of difficulty, but I feel that's part of the aesthetic to the game (why would delivering stacks of pizzas as a pony be easy, after all?)
It's amazing such a polished piece of content could be made in such a short time - I love both the art and the aesthetic. I hadn't seen the "rotate in a scene" 3D style parallax before which was a neat trick as well and warraned a deeper exploration of the world around.
I really, really liked this! Well done!
Love the opening cut-scene (and voicing!) that really sets the tone for a fun little game. I get major QWOP vibes from it, which goes to show how a simple control scheme and an idea can still have a lot of merit to it. Sound effects were solid, and the music is bouncy and fun. It's a solid "just one more game" style title - well done :)
I love the concepts of asymmetric gaming but I felt this one was unbalanced a little too much - humans seem to win just by slowly moving around and holding a button down and spores.. I just didn't quite get how to win with them. The whole thing could definitely be speeded up and maybe have a volume adjust option [music didn't do a lot for me - on a slower game when it loops it unfortunately becomes more noticeable].
Art and grid layout is solid and I feel there's a solid idea lurking behind all this - I'd keep at it, once you've ironed out the mechanics.
Art/feel is fantastic and there's some great variety in this to mix it up [not necessarily enemy type variety, but skill trees, unlockables etc].
Cool aesthetic, fun to play - what's not to like? This is a really solid effort, well done!
Feels like a nice little love letter to the original GTA. I love the animation when you hit a person and the fly up - though my games ended very suddenly ["oh, i must have gotten -1000 points"] - I feel like this could have been telegraphed better.
Art and music were great, controls are far too slippery to be useful, sadly - being able to swivel on a dime as quickly as you do basically throws off any forward steering you had in mind.
Fix the controls and you have a winner!
Art is fantastic - 80's/vaporwave are a popular aesthetic but these designs feel particularly inspired - perhaps it goes well with the retro gameplay.
Some collectables or power-ups [like in Wolfenstein or Duke Nukem] would definitely feel in-place here - especially given you're in a mart anyway!
1-bit is so hard to get right, and in such a small window too - the card aesthetics, monsters - it all reads so well. That alone would make this a top class entry but the game lives / choice of curses / tricky enemy mechanics that are drip-fed to the player really are something else.
I'm not good enough to beat this game but I'm going to keep trying!
Abstract gameplay - but hey, it's an abstract concept - and the otherworldy sounds and dream visuals really tied together well [I like how a piece of art viewed before sleep becomes a significant part of the psyche, for instance].
The cat bit was great and the game lends itself to repeated plays. I feel the character/tentacles could do with a bit faster movement however..
I love the simplicity of 'just use the mouse controls'. Art, SFX and music are all good to fantastic - they fit well together as well. Nice red light/green light mechanic. Quite inspired!
I found the launching part of the planes a bit difficult but after a few false starts I had my points!
A great load of fun, I like the subtle differences in how each input needs to be manipulated (switches can't be clicked like buttons, etc) and the art was nice and tight. The "lights out" section threw me for a bit of a loop too - great escalation of tension. Soundtrack was rocking hard - not sure how well it belonged on this specific game but it was a good piece of music. Great stuff!
Fun little pick up and play title, I like that it leant into the ten second aspect with the core gameplay loop. Art was charming as well, well done :)
I love the art aesthetic and the animations - it almost feels like a Warioware meets Cook Serve Delicious style bit of fun :)
Fun sounds and icons, love the energy... felt a bit of input lag, but maybe that was my keyboard? Cook, Serve, Delicious, watch out!!!
Gorgeous art and clever mechanics, busy work is a love letter to Papers Please. And it's voiced, too! A lot going on here. Notepad was a nice touch as well - especially given how short the jam was. Well done!
Love the Reigns/Sort the Court/[that FilmCow game about the cat being king] aspect - humour is great, art is charming. NaN score issue was annoying but once that's fixed it's a great little title :)
Good office-sim, "mundane stress" vibes.. I got a Papers Please feeling from this one! Restarting from Day 1 on a failure was a bit of a grind but it's a short jam game so eh. Well done!
I found the game controls a bit difficult but kudos on actually doing some Blender work for such a short jam - I'm envious! Well done :)
Loving the graphics and controls - vfx and polish were well adjusted to the gameplay as well. Well done :)
Love the visuals and setups, I found controls a little tricky (but I suspect thats more a reflection on me :)
Surprisingly fun and polished clicker.. the art was really well done too. Well done!
Found it pretty difficult but a good puzzler is always a difficult game curve - loved the iconic art, would really enjoy seeing more of this sort of thing!
Effects are amazing, getting the UI and (shaders?) to do this alone over a jam is v. impressive - could maybe do with a difficulty tweak pass, but I had a great time
Great aesthetic and loved the little touches - loop absolutely doesn't need tweaks, it's a joy to play. Love the graphics too - well done
Art was so polished and what a mad fun idea - especially liked the creepy items in Granny's purse - really nailed it. Writing was top notch too!
love the art aesthetic and the idea - puzzle difficulty seemed pretty friendly as well, got a lot of cozy vibes from this - thanks for making a HTML build :)
Loved the humour and the sound, art was quirky but fit the theme and I loved the energy. Maybe have a bit of a ramp up in the gameplay and tweak the loop?
Controls gave me some difficulty but the vaporwave/pink art vibe was really cool, loved the (shaders?) effect as wekll - impressive that you managed to pull this all together so quickly, well done!
I found the controls a bit difficult but the UI and design was great, especailly well done on the art front :)
Congrats on the music and I appreciate the tutorial/guide you've placed here - I have to confess the mechanics stumped me a little.
Enemies seem a bit tough, didn't feel very effective fighting them but might be a Skill Issue ;) definitely a title to revisit and polish!
I love SCP style lore and horror, very intriguing title.. I enjoyed it, but not sure I would play this with the lights out!!!
Stickers and 3D models are AMAZING for a jam game, great use of the theme. I love this stuff!
Loved the creative mayhem of the modular shipbuilding - great exploration of the theme [and spoace!] Graphics are top notchgreat work gettinbg this together over the weekend!
Fantastic rendering and art, congrats on piecing this together in a weekend!
I found the dialogue tree a bit difficult/surreal to negotiate, but I also felt that leaned into the theme of having to placate a chimeric maniac :)
Always on the search for innovative jam games and was delighted to discover this journalling one. Some of the prompts got me really in a mindful meditative state - this is top notch work. Great use of the theme :)
Controls are a little wonky but I liked the idea and enjoyed the mystery/trying to figure out what was going on - very cool idea!
I lovewd this little game (crow-bias aside) - cute visuals, I loved the style.
I found the controls a little difficult at first until I zeroed in on the Flappy Bird dynamic [duh, right?]
Great stuff!!
This would be a great jam product anyway but the fact its a solo effort just blows my mind. Fun idea and a great aesthetic [glad to see a fellow gamedsev.tv student putting their skills to use as well].
Really great stuff on this one, well done
Loved the simnple pallette choices and congrats on implementing an "auto" mechanic - this is a great entry especially for such a short timeframe. It felt good to beat and recruit that bear!
Beautiful environments and I love the cute little hedgehogs. I found the controls a little difficult, but it is a jam game so these things are to be expected.. :)
Cat perspective is nuts, I love the 90s graphics and cat audio! I could not gather rats quickly enough but I had a blast trying, great stuff!!
Sprite art is gorgeous [and I'm not just saying that because of the crow!) .. very atmospheric entry, well done
The art and animations are so charismatic and cute.. game was good fun, if a bit short. You could really develop this idea post-jam!
Loved the cosy aesthetic [and the visuals and graphics are amazing, extra well done on those]. QTEs were a blast and an unexpected pleasure - well done!
Art is a lock for the fun theme, you guys were really across this thing - great idea and characters. Keep up the great work :)
Loved the "hand drawn" surreal 3D art, really leant into the atmosphere
The art is amazing and gorgeous, congratulations on getting this much done in such a short jam - I'd say this game is absolutely worth a post jam polish to squash some bugs.
I like the idea of the found-footage VHS perspective which seems to add to the dread - I'm not great at horror games. The sound design was top notch, really cemented the atmosphere
I found it a bit confusing at first but I love the polished rooms [reminds me of Portal] and the Red B ull/Red Rat idea is a fun one. Nice use of theme!
I loved the art but I especially like the cleverness of the idea and execution - v good use of theme. I could easily see this getting some post Jam polish and being released as its own game - well done!
Oh my heavens, it's a beautifully drawn and fun game! It reminds me of Papers Please and the GUI [such as clicking on the scan icons and seeing explanation screens pop out] has great juice to it. Writing is amusing and well done. I absolutely love it, well done!!
I loved the art but couldn't get the left click/right click working in the web build to move the lighthouses? Nice idea and innovation, characters and sea monsters were fun.. just couldn't "play" it!
Inventive idea and I love the graphics and aesthetic. I didn't get the hang of controlling the ants via smells but I think that was more a me problem than a game problem. Sometimes the ants were difficult to see and find (sure, they are ants) but I would have loved an onscreen indicator or option to maybe flag them? Thanks for a great game.
I loved the aesthetic on this one, the gorgeous art was a treat - unexpected use of theme too, well done!
I love the art style using the abstract shapes to build characters, a really fun take on the Bat signal style approach.. I didn't fully get how to play it at first, some more explicit instructions would have been helpful.. but great art and characters, great music, really well done!
I like the idea behind presenting different viewpoints and perspectives on the driving via the escape - graphics are cute too (reminds me of McPixel), well done!
Graphics and aesthetic were really well executed, I love the art. This feels like it couild be fleshed out to be a phone game. I liked the implementation of broken telephone, well thought out game idea!
My fellow bandit got stuck on a lot of scenery and the pathing to the escape place sometimes seemed inaccessible but I like the art and the idea - good use of the theme
I love the gorgeous art on this, Levels 1 and 2 were helped by the tutorial.. Level 3 is a tricky one though!! Nice work.
Almost forgot to say: really appreciate detailed instructions/explanations on this page.
Graphics are great but I couldn't make any of the controls work or even figure out what mean to be interacted with ??? Looking forward to playing an update if you get around to fixing things :)
