Cute game! Tho, I think it would play better if everything was faster for about ~1.5x. Bet that recording and editing whispers and groans was lot of fun! Btw and how many apples was smashed in process?...
This is the case when one simple idea can be a lot of fun. Also game makes aware of traffic problems lol.
Got some Neverhood vibes of it, liked how ufos move. But as a game - mostly boring.
Really nice pixel art and funny client angriness, good jam.
@balgorode that's exactly how original game feels! But it had lights, ugly fishes, narrow caves and mines, which makes it a lot more creepy. All of that was really scaring when I played SubCulture when I was about 10.
@candlesan started to write soundtrack after recording some sounds(e.g. claw up sound which is tape measure sound) and right before polishing and stuff. So it was about 10 hours before jam end. Took about one hour, I guess.
@shimmerscale yea, you actually get damage by ramming items or terrain; but I had so little time that even didn't add sound for it or top right circle(which is hp bar) pulsation on damage.
@0x-void-x0 that's plugin, I play only keys and guitars heh. It's Spitfire Audio LABS - Frozen Strings. What is crazy - this one is free. It sounds really good.
Thank you all for kind reviews. I'll check your games too.
I think that postal work combined with something like "Papers, please" concept is interesting idea. The real problem that it's totally unclear how game works, paper hint isn't really clarifies it. As well as it's unclear what top left shows, tho it seems as interesting metric of player efficiency. I guess you need to write less concise description on game page, this will help.
Nice thing. As many, expected that just after tutorial I'll get few levels in which I'll use acquired knowledge, but well. Btw, somehow I lost my powerup twice by clicking it somewhere wrong.
Well, graphics are really impressive, as for Compo game. Hard to believe that this is was achieved in 48 hours. Tho, as a game it is straight walk simulator; so I guess most time was spent on models and scene rather than on gameplay. Nevertheless, I enjoyed game world.
Very nice game, game design is really good. Sometimes it felt that there's too much empty space, but otherwise I enjoyed it a lot. Also I really liked music, good one!
Wow, this is really solid game. I spent relatively much time summoning this guys! Awesome how many different mechanics you made during 3 days, and all of them working together good. Yea, there was some annoying moments when I got shitty tiles at the start of the day and couldn't gather any resources, but otherwise it's very cool. And yea, I really missed some sounds and nice background music, but it's OK, we all know how it is during jams. Anyway, congratulations on such nice game.
Very cool game. There some small things which would do it even better, like more items and different image for monster(but I know it's hard to make it that customazible so nvm). But anyway I spent in the game relatively lot time so it's very cool. (tho I couldn't complete it ;( ) Ah, yeah, and sounds is really funny.
Nice game, finally I know what happens on datings, thank you.
funny little meme game; might be a little faster, since I got some bug and lostall hp on giving water, and then it's not so interesting to go for stranger items from start
Very good take on jam theme and it's cool that there is so many different characters, tho some of them was really cryptic! Also, maybe it's just me but mouse controls is somewhat clunky. Otherwise, cool game!
Really interesting puzzle, piece like infinitely long doogle is really smart. Also liked game setting, something unusual too.
At first it looked that demons goin to easily win so I managed to push humans forward capturing 500 living beings in total. Overall, it was engaging tbh.
Whoa, some real chaos is going in this game. And audio is terrifying. Sorry, I meant terrific, I kinda liked it.
I couldn't understand at all, why am I feeding my fridge with stuff and he burps at me rats for this. Nevertheless, I did it few times and had some fun, until I fully filled the fridge with meat and got massively burped.
Interesting game, but some levels was a little hard for me. Also, I really liked game music!
Seems like a game with some potential. Would be cool at some point to mix different effects to receive a mage with some other power. Anyway, cool stuff tho I somewhat stuck on last(?) level.
Nice game, it's interesting mechanic to play with, I believe you could it improve it further and make some cool other mechanics!
Nice little game, killed about 300 rats. The only thing which I really is missed is movement by holding right mouse, not clicking it 3 times per second. Otherwise good job!
Damn, that's some funny experiments there. And damn how fast that green guys reproduce!
I liked eating tiny tasty guys. Other guys wasn't tasty tho.
Damn, it reminds me one oldschool pirate game, can't remember name tho. It had local multiplayer too, and we spent much time there. Anyway, very good and fun looking game!
Got idea after struggling a while, liked the idea of making safe path using food.
Good game concept, brother, easy to grasp! More mechanics would definitely make game more interesting too. Let the Oats be with you.
Wellp, that definitely was some high-quality storytelling, couldn't wait for climax, happy for this pair.
Funny game, but feels unnecessary hard. I'd like to survive a bit longer so that I can get a lot of upgrades and shoot rain of bullets, but that small brats getting me too fast ;(
Yeah, that's what I call perfect game jam recipe: one small but fun mechanic and increasing complexity and difficulty over time. Very good submission and implementation, good job!
Yeah, it's somehow interesting to just dig and dig and dig... But controls could be much more better tbh. Otherwise, I enjoyed it until it became too tedious(due to controls mostly) to grind iron. Good job!
Damn, I love submarine games(even made one myself). Found the guy, shown him the path and then there's that ending, gosh... Overall liked it, cool mood, tho controls could be more responsive.
Nice game. I liked 3-axis controls, reminded me of Sub Culture game. And while controls not that controllable, I get that it's by design and it's interesting to get used to it. Overall, would be cool to have some other upgrades, but yea, there's never time for that during jams, so good job!
It's interesting concept, even with lack of descriptions I get what to do, but... No autoaim is just killing it. There too many enemies on screen, which are constantly moving, so it's kinda impossible to manage few guns, other rooms etc. Also, I guess I didn't completely understand economy, is it, like, you get room and then just sell it? A little bit strange. Bit otherwise, it feels that game have potential to be interesting after some additional work.
Accidentally switched bomb on the start to timed one and was thinking for some time "the hell how I supposed to kill that flying thing with it". Then found controls section and it went better, but damn, that platforming with rocketjump is really inconvenient... Otherwise cool, liked art and sounds.
Wow, looks like some serious game. And another submarine one, I love like those. I can imagine how, after some work, it could become complicated submarine survival manager, with some RPG-elements, trading etc... Anyway, it's interesting as it is too. Tho I couldn't understand why I loose. I guess captain lost some hp, but idk why. I heard some alarm, but there was no visual effects of attacks, so idk how enemy attacks actually work.
Wow, this thing is addictive. But yea, upgrades is a little expensive, so game becomes too grindy; couldn't complete much of the game. Otherwise it's cool, nice level generation too.
Cool game, I liked damage system. Tho maybe somewhat hard, like, you can skip knife at the start of the game and then you most likely gonna be cooked(tho maybe not). Also, no checkpoints, so if you loose you should start all from scratch, which is a little annoying. Tho if you get to delivery checkpoint with 10 hp you're anyway should start new game lol. Anyway, really cool concept.
