Really cool entry! I played through it and had a great time. Here is a quick breakdown of my thoughts: • Gameplay & Design: The core mechanics feel solid and intuitive right from the start. The gameplay loop is engaging, and the controls feel responsive and fair. • Visuals & Art Style: The visual direction fits the overall mood really well. Everything looks cohesive, and the presentation makes it very clean to follow what's happening on screen. • Audio: The sound effects and audio design add a lot of punch to the experience and help build the atmosphere. • Theme Interpretation: You did a fantastic job incorporating the jam's theme into the core loop in a creative and clever way! Constructive Polish Idea: If you decide to update or expand this after the jam, adding a few extra feedback cues (like juice/particles or subtle screen shake) or expanding on a few mechanics could make it feel even more polished! Overall, awesome job for a jam project! Left you a high score/rating. Keep up the great work! 🚀
this might be my favourite thing i've played so far, the whole pawnshop at the end of the world setup is so damn good. deducing whether some wasteland weirdo is scamming you with a fake relic is way more tense than it has any right to be, and the art + music carry it hard. i do wish there was a bit more time to actually learn the item values before the ship leaves, i fucked up my first run by trusting the wrong guy. still, brilliant little game

The FMV atmosphere is awesome. Congratulations!
SO much depth here! I played for over half an hour and it feels like I've barely scraped the surface. The upgrades, the mystery tape… I even saw in the source that there are multiple endings!
This might be my favorite submission as well so far. I may come back and play more just for fun 🤓

Cool idea, for the reasons already mentioned. It would've been nice for a little bit more feedback about the result of the transactions, e.g. when a counterfeit good is called out by a customer it seems to just cancel the transaction?
The cop voice SFX made me chuckle.

@nathmate Thank you for the feedback! The writing should probably be more clear there, there's a % chance they will try to bribe you for spotting a fake but I didn't have time to include that in the tutorial.
@hikaliliaoli Thank you! They were photo-bashed using a mix of stock images and images we took, and our artist had a flow to get everything looking stylized and consistent.

Oh man, it was long time since I needed to write notes on paper for a game. Still all that accounting didn't helped me in the end, lol. Does game mentions somewhere how much exactly you need to have by the end of the game? Not sure if I missed it or not. Anyway, very fun cast of characters you got there. Also, since I lost, does game have some more on lore of the world if you win, or it remains mysterious? Graphics and Audio does good for the overall mood, take on the theme is cool too, great job.

@sami822 Thank you so much! Yeah the intro was supposed to tell you the requirement is $300, but I think we ended up forgetting to put that in, sorry about that. There are a couple of endings that do give some more lore, but we wanted to keep most of it a mystery! All of the dialogue files are in the github repo if you'd like to read :) Thanks again.

I think this is my favorite game of the jam so far. It's so polished and clean!! And the atmosphere, I simply love it. I find it really funny that you can pull up your gun at any time if you find anybody suspicious (even though I couldn't catch the thieves before they act 😭). Anyway, thank you so much for this game!!!

@lucaeas Thank you! If I could do it again (or if we continue this project) I'd like to rework the thievery system because it feels kinda unclear at times. Appreciate the kind words :)

That was cool how you did the effects in the game. Even with only little art you really sold the feel of working at that counter.
