LD47 — Stuck in a loop

WHILE(ALIVE) by Skyeward 2020-10-06T16:46:40Z

Lots of potential here! This could turn into a unique rougelike experience. I did find it hard to know what some modules did but maybe that was me being lazy and not reading the code. My strongest complaint is that the drag and drop could be quite finnicky

One Frog's No Good Very Bad Automobile Malfunction by weeping-rupee 2020-10-08T17:55:39Z

Really neat game! While it can be a little overwhelming I enjoyed solving the puzzles and liked all the other elements of it. Deserves more ratings for sure

Loop Guy by LarrySeinfeld 2020-10-08T18:26:05Z

My nomination for game of the century. Breathtaking soundtrack, stellar voice performances, and a captivating story full of twists and turns. Sadly I got clipped into a house just before getting home and couldn't escape. The controls are unwieldy but I'll excuse it as being part of the charm. I love seeing games like this in jams.

Pig-em-Up: Lassos Are Loops, Too! by Jamison 2020-10-07T20:54:29Z

Great fun! I found it a little difficult to direct the cowboys exactly where I wanted them to go but that's probably a tricky thing to perfect anyway.

Spectre Circuit by Theg 2020-10-07T20:27:01Z

@jamison What number was your turning at when it just wouldn't work, 50 or 60? there was an issue as you described that I thought I fixed. I agree that there's not too much incentive to go fast other than the slow increase in speed that comes with a winning streak.

The car is actually not 3D but a sprite stack generated from a voxel model that was generated from a standard 3D model and I'm happy with how it turned out.

Spectre Circuit by Theg 2020-10-08T13:53:05Z

@jamison Magicavoxel can import polygonal 3D and export as slices so it's a very easy process.

I found the problem with the steering. The fix I did was to clamp the stat value above the point that the steering would stop working. The problem was I did the clamping AFTER the stat got applied to the car so it was basically doing nothing. I *think* the rules allow this kind of fix after the deadline so I'll probably update the game.

Loopsky by Matootsy 2020-10-08T18:34:55Z

Very neat puzzle game. Biggest complaint is visibility of the black holes but I enjoy the main mechanic here.

Orbitoor by omnes ludos 2020-10-06T21:58:16Z

I enjoyed changing my orbit but found it a little difficult to actually avoid anything. Good job on the orbital prediction line, I have tried and failed to create something similar.

PlaceBlock by VCoder12345 2020-10-06T16:03:50Z

I couldn't get into the other levels but the gameplay was more interesting than I was expecting!

RECoil by ThanielPIN 2020-10-06T16:11:54Z

I enjoyed this! A lot of the time the puzzles didn't require use of the main mechanic so I ended up brute-forcing the beginning puzzles. The last few didn't suffer from the same thing however.

LD48 — Deeper and deeper

And deeper goes the keeper by Nicso 2021-04-27T19:42:38Z

Very pretty game, it's very gratifying to turn on a light and have it show the way forward. Loved the mood.

Tic-Tac-Run! by mvasko2 2021-04-26T14:34:58Z

The gameplay and audio are great, I feel like some more 3D art would have really made it awesome, but it's good. The leaderboard is great too.

Descending by khofez 2021-04-26T13:40:03Z

Same for me too, can't access it

Divey (VR Only) by shadowbrain 2021-04-28T02:06:02Z

The swimming locomotion works really well I think. I found it hard to find the observatories and couldn't figure out how to charge the batteries from there however I think there aren't enough VR games like this. Good luck with ratings.

VRtigo by infinitycore 2021-05-03T22:00:12Z

Never played a game like this before. It was really fun using my head (physically) to dodge obstacles although I'd worry about my neck after a long play session. Good luck with ratings!

Voyager by Jesús González 2021-04-27T17:05:18Z

I encountered UI issues (often the option I clicked wasn't the result) but I liked this! made it 78% before a lack of fuel got me stuck on the systems screen

Depths of Darvaza by ghost-in-the-toast 2021-05-03T21:23:40Z

I don't mind a slippery game although that combined with high gravity makes it pretty tricky to control. Really liked the whole feel of this though, good job!

Search and Resque by Hilvon 2021-04-26T14:44:28Z

I liked the game, although I feel like some music and some more environment props would have really sold the atmosphere. The digging was also a little slow in my opinion.

Depth Command by Baconinvader 2021-04-28T00:24:51Z

I got more engaged with this than I thought I would, good job!

F.R.I.E.N.D. by Jake White 2021-04-27T20:14:58Z

I like the atmosphere in this, really made exploration fun even if it could be a little tedious

Flying Fred by Cataractar 2021-04-27T16:19:29Z

Cool game, enjoyed trying for a new high score. Reminded me of old flash games in good way.

The Saturn Signal by Laremere 2021-04-26T17:21:08Z

The lack of a tutorial left me a bit confused, but once I figured out that you have to be on one of the white circles to build things the game seemed really cool! Good job!

all the king's men by otresnjak 2021-04-26T14:06:14Z

Really great, the hints for the controls can be a bit confusing as they're targeting towards a controller, but once you figure it out the game is simple enough. The start is hard but the game rewards you for making it past.

In a Barrel by Oohoos 2021-04-28T00:08:59Z

Fun calming experience, I found the controls to be slightly janky and the animal detection didn't always work but there aren't many games like this.

DeBlockhas by Sode 2021-04-26T17:06:45Z

Very nice!

Time to Sleep by Treeboater 2021-04-26T15:43:31Z

While there's not much gameplay it's a cute game and I can't help but like it!

Ski Trip by Rhoka 2021-04-28T19:35:52Z

The name didn't sink in before I started playing this so I was in for one hell of a ride. Started as a nice skiing game before becoming what it did. Loved it.

Burnout Without Paradise by luvjungle 2021-04-28T19:42:52Z

Nice looking game! A few points I was confused about what I was doing wrong but that was probably intended so good job.

A Crappy Journey by poisondart00 2021-04-26T13:55:34Z

This is absolutely hilarious! I found the game pretty difficult although that's probably just me. Great job!

Power Station Beta by Dock Frankenstein 2021-04-27T11:34:16Z

I was able to complete it no problems. Kinda feels like Portal or Half Life which is very cool!

Barochamber by Ourten 2021-04-28T21:22:54Z

Liked the setting but I found it really hard to land hits on the enemies. Good overall.

Greedseeker by Esosek 2021-04-26T14:13:53Z

The levels are well thought out and fun to work through, some more mechanics would have made it really awesome though. Overall still really cool!

Mineshaft Muddle by Luther-1 2021-04-28T01:14:39Z

This is some of the most interesting gameplay I've seen so far. Sometimes the gunfire would sync with the music and I have no idea if that was intentional.

Postal Plunge by ModdingMachine 2021-04-27T20:27:51Z

It got a bit hectic trying to defend from two sides at once while your ranged weapons were overheating. I enjoyed it!

Deepdish Deeptopia by Bodsworthcm 2021-04-27T01:38:21Z

Very nice! I found the start a little hard but once you master the movement mechanics they feel good and fun to use.

ATOMIC deepness by Kevin Meissner 2021-04-26T14:31:01Z

Really really fun! I love the mutations and how they stack and also stay after you die. Only thing I'd ask for is a sensitivity slider as the default is pretty high imo. Other than that, really awesome!

River, Carry Me Away by Noire 2021-04-27T12:12:04Z

Beautiful looking game, although I ended up getting lost in the the incredible atmosphere and music that I didn't fully follow the story. Still really great though!

ONI by Daniel Whittaker 2021-04-28T20:49:03Z

I liked this a lot!

Enter The Golfeon by Steven C 2021-04-26T15:22:05Z

Very good, pretty similar to Golf With Your Friends but actually with some more interesting visuals imo. I'm also just as bad as this game as I am in GWYF! Also gotta love the Suzanne heads. Great job!

Down The Well by HakunaSoft 2021-04-26T15:38:38Z

"Press alt-f4 to close the game"

DeepTech Industries by Acdia 2021-04-26T14:20:50Z

The game is fun and the destructible environments are cool, I did find it pretty hard though

you are chained to an egg and are falling down a pit by goblinkingmatt 2021-04-27T19:49:04Z

What an entertaining experience. I had no idea what was going on. You are chained to an egg and are falling down a pit.

Squareroot mining by omnes ludos 2021-04-29T23:11:57Z

Really interesting interpretation of the theme! I liked this a lot, although I feel some sort of feedback/animation when you're mining a block would help a lot, kind of like in Minecraft where you can see the block become more and more cracked before it breaks as you're hitting it.

Nyctophobia by TheJohnyFeeD 2021-04-28T20:05:33Z

Feels really polished and fun to play, thanks for submitting it!

PANEMUAN by etrealjunior 2021-04-28T19:29:33Z

Very nice story, really enjoyed it!

Deeper Sea by LRVStudios 2021-04-28T22:04:05Z

Very interesting game. As other people have said it's hard to understand what's going on.

rm -rf by Tiago Cruz 2021-04-28T18:35:59Z

Neat concept! I liked exploring my computer but I think the filesystem root is more like the surface than the deepest depths. Linux gang.

Fishing the Deep by DDesignDude 2021-04-28T20:01:43Z

Really cool to see a DS game made for this. Sad there isn't much to do in it, but I really appreciate the effort here, plus the game looks and sounds authentic.

Tropical Singer by Kevin S 2021-04-26T17:12:42Z

I liked it, very cool game!

Deeper Devils by 3amsoda 2021-04-26T15:07:47Z

The art style is so cool, and the gameplay while a little trippy at first is really awesome. The last level was especially challenging but I got there in the end. Great job!

Mariana's Trench by mmisspelling 2021-04-26T13:47:43Z

Very cool game! The atmosphere is really nice, and the mechanic of dragging inside the line for the scanner worked well.

Deep Sleep by Link270 2021-04-28T02:28:42Z

Easily one of the most impactful jam games I've ever played. The visuals and music work quite well with it, but I did feel like I bruteforced the first puzzle.

Deep Sleep by Link270 2021-04-29T23:24:39Z

The art style is really nice, and the message is powerful. Great job!

Dark Dive by Whysguy52 2021-04-27T23:54:29Z

This game has similarities to mine. It was cool going into the depths and the sonar was neat but I think having the resource conversion set to keys would be good.

Falling Rock by David Horning 2021-04-26T15:26:36Z

Simple but works really well. Very nice!

Can You See The Flame by LambMakesGames 2021-04-27T19:12:12Z

I had fun exploring in this, changing the layout puts a fun twist on it. I wish I had something that showed my progress per level though.

Lost Light by The_G 2021-04-26T15:35:50Z

@hilvon Thanks! If I had more time I would have loved to make the caves procedurally generated, I think that would have really helped with the repetitiveness. Anyway, I'm really glad you enjoyed it!

Lost Light by The_G 2021-04-26T18:42:45Z

@taigha Thanks for the feedback! I have been considering how to balance these two sides of the game, I may add an "exploration mode" that lets you explore with infinite lamp fuel.

I am a little wary of changing the games difficulty because it is quite easy to last long enough to get through all the pre-made cave variations, and after that the game becomes a bit stale so I would rather have the game end early than have it drag on and be boring.

Ideally I would have made the caves procedurally generated as that would solve a lot of these problems, but that seemed a little out of scope for this jam and I wanted to keep things simple.

Lost Light by The_G 2021-04-26T19:45:18Z

@esosek I'm glad you like it! The music is just royalty free stuff, so that's why it's not perfect. As for the levels, you can go infinitely, with the goal being to get as deep as you can before running out of fuel. I've received mix responses on the games difficulty, with some people such as yourself being able to get very far with no trouble, while others struggle much more. Regardless, I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Lost Light by The_G 2021-04-26T19:45:33Z

@chanandler Thanks! :smile:

Lost Light by The_G 2021-04-27T12:14:41Z

@otresnjak Thanks, I'm glad you liked it! Yes the RTX version is pretty demanding, I would recommend dropping your resolution down to 1080p to try it out as it really is very cool, even if it's a little broken.

Also yes this would be great in VR, perhaps I will make a VR version in the future

Lost Light by The_G 2021-04-29T23:06:06Z

@zimny11 Thanks for playing, I'm glad you liked it! I added the different difficulty levels to help with the difficulty problem, but perhaps it's not enough. Anyway, thanks again for playing it!

Lost Light by The_G 2021-04-30T12:50:48Z

@quoc Thanks!

Lost Light by The_G 2021-06-05T00:19:32Z

@molpe Thanks so much for playing! I'm glad you enjoyed it.

I Need Fuel! by GimmiBigMac 2021-04-26T15:10:42Z

Plays really nicely, also for anyone who doesn't know if you hit alt + enter the game will go fullscreen

Onion by kameia 2021-04-26T15:14:10Z

While it's simple I really like the design and the way the camera zooms in after successfully completely a layer. Very cool!

Deep Sewers by Turtle Games 2021-04-28T19:37:20Z

Very nice game, simple but satisfying.

QWERUIOP by SLM 2021-04-27T15:02:19Z

One day I'd like to master a game like this. Some nice stupid fun playing this.

LD53 — Delivery

Strange Week in the Dungeon by PavelDlouhy 2023-05-04T23:13:41Z

I do love the early FPS aesthetic but it may have contributed to how easy it was to lose my bearings.

Delivery Boy by pndaa 2023-05-04T23:25:40Z

That voice acting? Chefs kiss. Beautiful. Took a sec to learn the aiming of the throws but I adjusted pretty well.

Deliverey 2 (VR Only) by shadowbrain 2023-05-03T20:41:20Z

Cool to see someone always putting out a VR game in these jams. Very simple yet very fun game.

Mead War Valhalla by UnidayStudio 2023-05-19T15:52:13Z

It took many attempts but I successfully scored a point. Nicely polished, quite interesting, but I didn't understand the mid air control at first and when I did it was still VERY difficult.

Tiny dropshipping by chispaLBC 2023-05-19T15:08:10Z

Very neat idea! I had an issue with trucks just stopping any deliveries but I had a lot of fun.

Demon Lord's Catboy Pizza Delivery Service by Tyler Slabinski 2023-05-04T22:47:51Z

Some nice fun here! I think I'd make the grappling hook reach just a bit further (or less distant ceilings perhaps?) and not have the player slow down as fast to keep some momentum going, especially upwards.

Dark Teeth by ecmjohnson 2023-05-04T22:35:20Z

I've been a practicing dentist since I was 5 years old and I've never seen a more accurate representation of my line of work. There may not be much to this game but that grotesque appeal is so captivating... That strange satisfaction...

Parcels, Please by Neon Glass 2023-05-07T17:48:58Z

I agree, petting the cat is VITAL to this game. Nice little game, similar to my game except easier to understand.

De-Liver by AlexFSmirnov 2023-05-03T18:41:42Z

Loved this, great interpretation on the theme and pretty funny. I think collision coulda been a bit more clear with the scissors but with the scalpel I was slicing people up like a pro

Wormpocalypse: Battle for Chornobyl by Emty 2023-05-03T20:10:28Z

I didn't expect the ending! Very cool. I couldn't figure out what I was doing at first but would it really be a jam game if I could?

Parcel Purgatory by Wilko 2023-05-03T19:58:13Z

I thought it was gonna be a full bloxorz clone but the enemies turned out to be a really interesting addition. I'd like for there to be a bit more indication of the delivery theme though.

Spacella by Dandala88 2023-05-03T19:29:32Z

Found myself playing longer than I needed to. I wish there were more planets to ship between and make interesting routes with, then maybe some further progression. Aesthetics hit decently, not bad!

PigCulture by sami822 2023-05-03T01:09:14Z

The bits I struggled with most was how slow it could be and how the graphics didn't really indicate gameplay, like what can be picked up with certain tools. Despite this I kept playing for about half an hour, I think the concept is pretty intriguing.

Final Delivery by PatateNouille 2023-05-05T00:19:03Z

ooh how entertaining. I was lead to think C04 was more of a hints guy than required for progression so I avoided him for a bit, but overall piecing stuff together was a lot of fun!

SPACE.FARER by MartinK 2023-05-19T15:32:10Z

Very impressed by the ship customisation system. From what I played of the game I found that taking missions never had any actual risk and could be played through very quickly while always turning a profit so I could probably finish the game without actually engaging in the gameplay.

Destruction Delivery by DK Game Labs 2023-05-19T15:18:15Z

I quite liked having to check the map to find where to go and where I was. After making my first delivery I disappeared, able to move but couldn't accept my next one.

Pazza by DaBigDuck 2023-05-19T16:03:21Z

Scored 123. I think the fun really kicked in as it got closer to 100, I think it'd need to get faster earlier for faster engagement, but not in a way that quickly ramps up to unplayable speeds.

Post the Most by BLumbye 2023-05-07T17:35:08Z

Love this idea, mainly because I went for something similar. I ended up a bit confused with how it works and time pressured as a result, so the most valuable thing I gained from this is understanding how players of my game probably felt. I think i struggled with the controls more than the ruleset.

I hate Mars by Daniil Vakhrushev 2023-05-03T18:57:40Z

Cool atmosphere I think, I was a bit lost at first but once I figured out where to go, and the fact I could move the camera, I felt ready, but with too little time left.

Deep Sands Delivery by Rjdrag 2023-05-03T20:54:02Z

Very polished and cool.

Left to Do by Ixniyevonn 2023-05-04T23:40:07Z

That was nice. Drone controls were quite satisfying

Shitzza Ballistica by Archaeognathus 2023-05-03T21:00:47Z

Bit fast to begin with but I settled in quickly. Very entertaining game! I question the tastes of whoever orders a fish bone pigeon pizza but who am I to judge.

B.I.T.E by Zelirman 2023-05-05T17:50:32Z

The games that are most similar to your own submission are always very interesting. Unfortunate that it's unfinished because it's very polished and nice looking.

Portal Package Panic by PtitJao 2023-05-19T16:15:22Z

Very cute game and similar to my own in some ways. I thought it was gonna be too slow at first but multiple items in packages was refreshing, in the end I felt most limited by the movement speed.

LD59 — Signal

Look for The Signal by Almax 2026-04-23T15:18:51Z

got all the endings, very cool game! well presented with a good atmosphere. lots to do in a single room

Making Megahertz by killthealias 2026-04-24T00:30:52Z

took a sec to figure out the rules (hills are good!) but i got it in the end and finished it. nice little puzzle thingy :)

For Boom The Bell Tolls by pickens-inc 2026-04-23T23:59:14Z

this one turned out to be a favourite for me. full of charm and a cool use of the theme. good job!

We Trust You Are Well by atmospherium 2026-04-23T15:25:28Z

oh very cool! really well fitting for the signal theme. i liked following the hints in the text to figure out what to do next.

Hive and Honey Horticulture by Sarah 2026-04-22T18:16:43Z

there's a lot in this game for just 3 days. i found a few bugs: the bees. probably the attention demanding incremental game i've played?

Fade by feffers 2026-04-25T19:25:25Z

fun little puzzle game concept! especially how the other tiles lit up when you completed a combo

Signal Reassigned by Rewzu 2026-05-07T21:55:19Z

oh really cool. love the lens effects! couldn't figure out what exactly sensitive to light meant in this context but i almost managed to contain it

Space Pawn Space Shop by bjornstenlund 2026-04-23T23:27:25Z

love the silly visuals and audio. game itself slightly confusing and possibly started moving a little too fast? good work

Reaper: Savior of Souls by Link270 2026-04-23T15:54:28Z

this game does have a nice loop going on. getting stronger and going out farther and farther each time feels good. well done!

RESCUE by Andrey Angaev 2026-04-22T16:38:58Z

very polished for a jam experience. for the final objective i couldn't find the interactable needed to end the game for a while and i was trying to climb the radio tower

On Ivy Boulevard by python-b5 2026-05-01T23:58:58Z

oh amazing! i did feel a bit limited by the photos and having to remember the dialog. maybe i should have brought my own notepad...

Bird Man Signal by Kobato Games 2026-04-25T20:32:47Z

fun little experience! i saw the spelling errors too but those just make it feel more human i think. enjoyed the positioning as a random citizen too. good job!

Pardon my Alienese by MatthewLevy 2026-04-26T13:36:12Z

oh this might be a favourite for me. incredible concept an well executed. partly feels like something i would make too i think? love it

Landslide by Coro_yy 2026-04-26T13:20:07Z

strangely enough this isn't the only game i've played about rescuing buried people in this jam. pretty cool to see such serious stuff represented

RESCUE by Petr Vejchoda 2026-04-22T19:30:37Z

enjoyed this one! is our poor rescuer only in a tshirt?

SigRider by LinsCd 2026-04-23T14:52:11Z

best score 832. a lot of fun actually! very simple idea i've seen once before but this does it really well. good job!

Signalis by The Infinity Glitch 2026-04-22T17:33:45Z

game has a cool look to it! not really much to do but good effort!

THE MYSTERIOUS DEVICE by Itero Proto 2026-04-22T19:09:58Z

a little confusing. some nice presentation going on. it felt a bit like i didn't have much control over the enemies taking the mushrooms

Saving Planet by Bambutcher 2026-04-22T17:13:36Z

love the planet shader! i found the game to be easiest when prioritising firerate in upgrades. rushed into getting antennas early and got doomed by not being able to decode enough signals. maybe signals reaching the bottom shouldn't punish?

Last Frequency by Catanus 2026-04-23T15:02:31Z

very polished feeling game. cleanly presented. i wasn't sure if the purple obstacle was good or bad when i first saw it? i think i'd make that look more like the other obstacle in some way

The lost signal by Cazik21 2026-05-01T23:43:17Z

yeah i got confused at first too, but i figured it out! theme well incorporated into gameplay and the story was cool to see too. good job!

hostile cosmos by unfavorable_enhancer 2026-04-25T19:02:42Z

loved this one. strong presentation, only took a second to get used to. ui felt very nice to use. ran away from some gunfire in my direction and didn't encounter any trouble after that. good job!

Final Caw by Allen Antoine 2026-04-22T17:55:52Z

great atmosphere and provocative decisions! on the first screen the mouse cursor wasn't visible but i definiely enjoyed this one

Downlink Escape by NoAimMason 2026-04-24T00:19:07Z

couldn't get past the main menu :(
