LD46 — Keep it alive

Tiny Reactors by blay09 2020-05-03T07:24:50Z

Really cool game. Extremly difficult, but fun. And thanks for the colorblind mode! At first I had to do some guesswork which is green and which yellow. You seemed to think about everything. The rest of the game is like earlier mentioned: really polished and many features for such a short time.

Keep It (restaurant and baby) alive by Nutriz 2020-04-22T13:26:00Z

At first I had a hard time trying to move the character to the right spot. Until I read the text at the left and used the FP-Cam. It's way easier. Even though the game isn't finished, it's impressive what you where abled to do in the given time. Really cool!

Live Bomb by Demandooda 2020-05-11T06:37:33Z

The cameracontrol feels very good. The game contains everything for a LDjam needed. The level is challenging but not super hard. All in all I think this is a nice entry. It's only a bit sad that I probably didn't see all the features. At least the console gave me al lot of errors. Even more impressive that it does work. However I guess the hardest part of making a tower defence game is programming the core mechanics, so well done. :)

Ihctogamat by OhFiddleDiddle 2020-04-26T07:14:52Z

The pet was in the room at the end? I'm so glad I didn't turn around (Maybe it helped, that my headsets stereo doesn't work as expected). It's not really hard to scare me... However there are some nice details. For example the monitor illuminating the room a litle bit when the lights are off and the possibility to explore the lightsetting before the pet does use them. I like the game even though I probably wouldn't play it again... I don't want to have a pet behind my chair.

Garden Defence by Sir. Syko 2020-04-29T13:17:35Z

How many inputs do you need for a game? - Well I think I found the answer. Well done litle game.

Don't touch the goblins! by Horbee 2020-04-23T13:25:08Z

Score: 62. I just wasn't abled to beat nizlow. I think everybody gets a score around 60, because that is the point at which it gets really hard. Maybe it would help if the room would be a litle bit larger, so you can choose if you want to fight more or less and to make the game more difficult over time maybe let the hp decrease faster (only suggestions). But as already said by many persons: Amazing graphics, really cool lightning and good controls. A really nice game!

Have Mercy by Stefan Jovanovic 2020-04-24T16:28:42Z

Cool graphics and really polished! In my opinien the best game so far. I also like the music and the turn based battle is better for my slow reflexes. My reflexes also took me the possibility to make smaller attacs, so I had to find solutions where I was abled to use the green zone. The controls are easy and it's really fun to play. As I said: Great game!

Have Mercy by Stefan Jovanovic 2020-04-24T16:32:36Z

One of the games, I let installed to later play it again.

The Lonely Tree by Virtu 2020-04-23T09:55:12Z

No bugs as far as I can tell. That's impressive. I also like how easy the controls are and the minimalistic enviroment (only some models, but really good ones).

RushBomb by Gelgavish 2020-04-23T09:43:08Z

Really cool! I already started worrying if there wouldn't be any console-based games. The music is nice as well and even the enemies following the player are good. Of course there are some bugs, but I guess there are some in most of the games in a jam.

RushBomb by Gelgavish 2020-04-23T12:56:51Z

It doesn't directly follow the grid and is abled to move directly to the player. It also tried to get to the nearest position possible at some point and has a detection radius. Of course it's not a pathfinding, like in some games with no time limit at development, but it's some type of AI and it doesn't get stuck to walls or other enemies. So I would say it does its job well.

Scrap Cargo by shadow30 2020-04-25T06:38:22Z

Really fun game. It's nice how many different tasks you implemented. It took me some time to figure out that right click is the solution, but then I liked it a lot.

Infinite Machine by Frostroyk 2020-04-21T13:34:32Z

I like the idea to craft stuff and use it to keep a system running. The graphics maybe could be improved, but since they are't the main point of this game I think they fit. The game fits the theme really well and the drag- and craftsystem work good and without gliches.

Penguin Tower Defense by SomethingWithEd 2020-05-04T09:25:46Z

Nice game. The graphics are good and the tower defence mechanic works good. However some more types of enemies and towers would be cool. It's not getting much harder over time. But so far a really solid start. I guess the most work is to set up the core game mechanics.

Space Junk by Nick Biglin 2020-04-25T07:03:19Z

At first I asked myself, why there is no procedural generation. After some seconds I realised, that this would have made the game even harder. It's really challenging. I think it could maybe be cool to align the "junk lines" with the music. But in total I would say, that this is a small but solid entry.

P.S. The background with the diffrent speeds is really well made.

Space Junk by Nick Biglin 2020-04-25T07:05:04Z

Reading the other comments I realise that the music is synced? Maybe my brain wants to connect the wrong things.

AC ⚡ DC 🔋 by SparkDrago 2020-04-21T07:21:50Z

Nice graphics and good Audio. The Concept is good and i think for a games jam the game is a Pretty solid entry. Maybe it would be a bit more entertaining if the enemies wouln't come in rows but more randomly.

Stellar Ride by agentrsdg 2020-05-02T08:25:37Z

An endless level generation with a physics based game mechanic - really good! It' easy and fun to play. Well done.

Batry Low by SujoyByte 2020-05-11T06:56:32Z

The menu is well polished and the graphics in the game are nice as well. I dont eally get why you removed the graphics rating. The gameplayis has some bugs (I was abled to let the red enemy destroy itself) but it looks great and is already on a good level.

Nuke-A-Tron 2000 by kale 2020-04-22T13:38:23Z

Cool idea. I think many persons / teams thought about some game like this, but decided to do something else because they wouldn't have enough time. Really well done.

Restart Later by Theg 2020-04-21T13:49:52Z

Wow, I like this game! It's an interpretation of the theme, I've not seen so far. My computer restarting due to updates is really on the most annoying things that can happen when I'm in rush. The game is really solid (I found no bugs) and you need to keep your focus on several things at once and avoid pressing the false buttons. I really like it!

Keep the Triangle alive! by Abb1x 2020-04-29T12:10:15Z

First impression: Ah, nice music. Wait... I know that song ... and least somehow - but you changed it and made it longer. In fact I like this more, than just using a premade song! It's a small game, but disagreeing with SlimBun I think it' totally ok. My own game also doesn't have extremly good graphics. Some Post Processing and the result is good. The game is also balanced really well. Hard but not impossible. Of course it's possible to do more in three days, but hey - a jam is all about creating and having fun! There shouldn't be any force or pressure to make the best and most polished game!

Fuel by Acdia 2020-04-21T07:50:58Z

Yes, it takes some time to get into it and there was no time for a proper tutorial.

Fuel by Acdia 2020-04-26T06:50:39Z

Thx @crumblybread in the updated version there is a indicator for the last piece of fuel burning. Or do you think an indicator for all the fuel left in the furnace would be better? I didn't program this in, because theoreticly you can look in the input thing of the furnace. I don't know which option is better.

Fuel by Acdia 2020-04-26T17:46:07Z

@gelgavish Just drop the items from the edge of a tile into the void and they should be selled in some seconds.

Fuel by Acdia 2020-04-27T09:48:53Z

@gelgavish Thanks for your feedback. Depending on which version of the game you playied the score can be good or let's say almost good :) . However your first suggestion is somehow included in the updated version (You see how many seconds you have left, when the last piece of fuel started burning). I'm not sure if that's fine or if some UI for all the fuel would be better... Anyway I'll think about the second idea.

Fuel by Acdia 2020-05-01T06:05:13Z

No! I had that problem earlier and still don't know how to fix it... Seems like it doesn't clear the background after a frame. If anyone has any idea how to fix it, plaesy tell me.

Fuel by Acdia 2020-05-01T10:17:40Z

@tyfus only thing that could cause the issue and would give you an an option to still try the game, would be if you downloaded the game several days ago. For about one day there was a version online with this bug. But I guess it's not very likely that you have this version :(

Fuel by Acdia 2020-05-04T09:20:02Z

@plepletier Thx. Could you tell me where exactly more feedback is needed? I'll try to implement it.

Fuel by Acdia 2020-05-12T08:53:37Z

@sujoybyte Not only you... I know it's takes some time to figure out hw everything works. A tutorial would help, but I've never done one before...

2 Soon 2 Sheep by Monzz 2020-04-29T13:32:57Z

Agreeing with all the other comments I also like the graphics. It also helped, that all the small things don't collide with the player. Realy realaxing and nice little game!

Just one thing: Do we have diffrent interpretations of the word "right click"? XD

Apopecalypse by weil 2020-05-01T17:13:34Z

Really fun game! Incredible hard but very adictive. Maybe a easier part at the beginning, the rest is nice and for my taste polished enough. And maybe a groundcheck for the jump. While it makes it more difficult I think it would be senseful. But yes, lots of fun.

Touch it! Do it! by JosephByam 2020-04-27T07:00:34Z

In the comment above were already really good suggestions to improve this game. I want to add two: 1) It would be maybe easier to attack, if the sword swings in fron of you. An easy solution for this would be to use an Animation attached to the sword. 2) I would like to walk at the ground of the water. If you give the water object a new layer, you can switch off the collisions between the layer with the player and the water in the project settings at physics. But so far a solid start. The map with the diffrent zones is well made and the movement feels good - And of course the animated grass!

LD47 — Stuck in a loop

Despairship by Shess 2020-10-21T19:26:46Z

One of the games in which graphics, movement and sound are really good. For a jam game really polished and with a lot of feedback. The mechanic of time proceeding only if you move helps a lot to plan the next actions. The UI looks great and I found no bugs. All in all one of the best games I have seen so far.

Gravitron - 2047 by RAC-Games 2020-10-23T08:29:32Z

This was really cool! It's just awesome to let two enemies crash into another. One mechanic for both tasks (killing and collecting these core things) is a good idea. I think we don't need to talk about graphics and sound - even the dead bodies look amazing. After finishing and going back to the tutorial stage I thought at first I need to do the whole core building process multible times but then I remembered that there was no main menu. So some screen at the end would have been nice. Another small thing: The settings for sound were safed, the setting for the mouse sensibility not. Other than that this was a really fun and visually pleasing experience. Thanks for this entry

RESCUE ATTEMPT #[REDACTED] by Junebug 2020-10-10T05:34:49Z

I can only agree with everybody commenting before. The game is fun and the graphics are well done. The leghth is also optimised for ludum dare. Only thing that took me a while to get used to were the keybindings. All in all however a really nice game.

Invisibles' Loop by Acdia 2020-10-05T12:42:13Z

@tolmera The Mac build is done. I hope it works as it should. I have no Mac, so I wasn't abled to test it. I tried WebGL as well, but it doesn't show a windowsize that would give any chance of playing the game.

Invisibles' Loop by Acdia 2020-10-07T14:28:28Z

@roolow The game is new to me, but it makes sense, that the concept of using sound to find invisible enemies is already used in some games. I got the idea in first place from FNAF.

Invisibles' Loop by Acdia 2020-10-08T12:20:20Z

@rainyday2800 I'll Keep your idea in mind and think about a way of implementing it. It sounds like a fair solution.

So far thanks for all the Feedback and also for playing.

Invisibles' Loop by Acdia 2020-10-08T17:24:24Z

Web build is now available. The downloadable versions however seem to be a little better.

Invisibles' Loop by Acdia 2020-10-19T07:54:49Z

@levidsmith In the room in the middle there is a blue paper on a wall. It contains both. I would recommend to write down the password since it is at least for me hard to rememer.

Invisibles' Loop by Acdia 2020-10-23T07:00:24Z

@cole-and-jordan-studios I just realized for the first time that the controls aren't explained anywhere... Thats kind of dumb. Especially since you can open the console only from the screen and not from the whole EMP. For now I'll edit the description a little bit. Thanks for the hint.

Invisibles' Loop by Acdia 2020-10-23T16:02:33Z

@justcamh Thanks for playing it. I was watching your stream but had no twitch account so I wasn`t abled to comment. However for me this has the advantage that I saw which things were easy and when some mechanic (like being abled to keep the button pressed) were hard to figure out. Seing someone else playing my game is really useful feedback. As the developer you always see some things as obvious which might be unclear to the player. I will keep the hints in mind (especially with colored coridors). So thanks for taking the time.

Invisibles' Loop by Acdia 2020-10-23T16:13:34Z

@jrevel It's hard to find the balance between telling the player how to play and let him figure out things by himself. Originally a tutorial was planned but as it usually is the time got a bit short at the end. Maybe some dim red flashing lights at the buttons to show they are interactable? Maybe also one fifth console in the middle to being abled to explore the console without being attacked (at least at the easier mode)? So thank you for playing and giving feedback. Feedback is the key to improvement!

Stix by Sombrero Guy 2020-10-24T08:01:01Z

The game is cool but I can't play it. It's to scary for me. But well done.

Another Left Turn by Lebrra 2020-10-18T20:03:41Z

First of all, the game was really polished. The graphics with their reflections and precise texturing, the little details in every room and of course the glowing enemies and their animations. Further Post Processing was used in a good way and I liked the health indikator by using a red vignette. Another nice detail was the integration of the background in the splash screen. It's impressive that the small team managed to make all the weapons with different characteristics. As some comments told already some knockback at the enemies would be cool but I know that this is really difficult while using animations and in a jam probably not worth the time. Great little FPS!

Space Police Simulator Platinum by Future Labs Unlimited 2020-10-18T19:24:57Z

The concept of finding someone by using hints was well implemented. Especially the funny elements, like hitting an innocent running in front of your gun or the levitating AI thing. It was a challange to interpret all the hints from different sides whilst most of them just wanted me to work faster. Feels like real life - just as promised in the description. :D

Loop Racer by Games_by_Tom 2020-10-05T13:34:58Z

The concept is really cool. In this game you feel the "stuck"-part pretty well. It's hard but fun and gives this unique feeling of "the next time I'll get it" every time I drifted one or two pixels from the yellow thing. Nice entry!

LD48 — Deeper and deeper

Deep Descent by Predominant 2021-04-26T14:00:32Z

You know that situation, when you think "this is a bad clone of ..."? But how about "this is a massively improved game, using the ... mechanic"? The comcept is well known and often used, but this game is good! The visuals are pleasing and the map is difficult, but you get better at it. After dying some time with my keyboard (I have no controller :( ), I decided to dig out my Arduino and continued dying with a joystick taped to my ruler.

"Can you get the world record deepest depth score?" - Definitely not! But I might have the world record highest death score. With that being said there is only one question left: On what kind of fuel is this thing running, that the explosion is that big?!? XD

Edit: This game was on my "potentially good games" from the jam. It fulfilled my expectations.

Bunker Björn by phantom-lab 2021-04-27T08:55:58Z

Not a lot to add. Graphics are amazing, the sound desingn fits the game and everything feels smooth. But I think I found a bug (or a feature?) at level 7 or 8: Bug.JPG

I can still shoot, but the screen is black and I can't move. Anyway, well done!

Edge of Space by Marc Grabow 2021-05-02T07:31:55Z

The idea is nice, sounds menu and graphics pretty good and the controls feel right. I think however the enemies could have some improvements. For example were they abled to shoot me while being in the wormhole and I had no control and they could destroy the player when he spawns alsmost instantly. Other than that, well done.

JöRD by PierreNS 2021-04-27T08:26:15Z

I like this game. It feels good to control, the graphics are amazing and IKÖA and Jörgen are a dream team, but it is REALLY hard. Refuling seems to not even give the amount of fuel used, while I'm walking to the refinery and back to the engine and the dense material is hard to avoid, even when controlling the drill the whole time. The cooling however feels pretty fair and ignoring the huge difficulty (or my lack of understanding some mechanic) this is the absolutely best hole drilling game I've seen so far. Maybe you could provide a version with an easy and a "for real swedish guys" difficulty. I would definitely come back for that.

Rob it! by Maja Salamon 2021-05-01T14:48:28Z

That was fun! After massivly overcomplicating the first task, I managed to solve all puzzles (at some point (2, 5, who cares... looks similar to me!)). I think I slightly broke the game, because while throwing around the smallest of the containers to get it facing up, the money fell out of it. The sounds and lights give the game a nice touch and the puzzles are not frustrating at all. Nicely done!

Hole by MaximeGammaitoni 2021-04-29T10:37:36Z

This is awesome! Extremly polished, audio and visuals are really good. Everything seems to fit together and there is a solid number of levels. One of my favourites so far. Well done!

A Crappy Journey by poisondart00 2021-04-26T15:06:26Z

This game lets you discover deep places... It's definitely a really creative approach and the bathroom looks amazing - it looks like you spend a lot of time doing it. The levels themself are really difficult and I didn't get past the second down-jump on level 2. I hope I'll still make it, so that I can see level 3 and 4.

These sound effects! XD Well done!

Chthonic Brilliance by cassowary 2021-04-29T11:41:59Z

This is really cool! At the beginning I thought that the levels were a bit too easy, but then it didn't take long until the hard ones came. I like how you sometimes need to do things in an unusual order and think ahead. This is a special type of puzzle, that feels different from the standard ones (in a good way). The graphics are cute and you did a great job at introducing new elements. I found a little bug though. At this position I wasn't abled to move one tile to the right. I had to go one left and two right. But other than that, really well done!!

[SlimeSelectionBug.JPG](///raw/aaa/f2/z/418bb.jpg)

Dungeons Deep by Lonithor 2021-04-26T15:25:03Z

Some nice variety of enemies (and also flying ones, which can be complicated to implement), but the combat feels a bit flat. Other than that, a solid game.

Sheep: The Origins by Elmos Minion 2021-05-02T17:35:08Z

I'm usually not skilled at all in all these manovering run / shoot things, but I finnished this one! Ok... I kind of cheated - I didn't use a/d but just kept shooting, but I won!

HYPERTUBE 3021 by Ben Taylor 2021-04-26T13:06:44Z

Sounds, Music and Camerashake work well together and give the player a feeling, when the warp is about to happen. Since, as already mentioned by a couple of people, it's a bit hard to see everything and know how far the wall is away, I thought that maybe the sounds could help on that as well. Maybe some high pitch before colliding with something... These are just my thoughts. Anyway, well done.

ScanR by CharlieGray 2021-04-26T12:47:45Z

I had this game on my list "seems like it could become a cool game", which I made while jamming and it was as good as expected. You did a great job on implementing the scan feature and if I saw that correctly the movement has some neat features for smooth and non-frustrating jumping (I think i missed a jump but did land on the platform anyway). So all in all, well done!

DeepTech Industries by Acdia 2021-04-26T08:22:51Z

Thanks for the comments! I'm glad you had fun. @douwe-ravers I originally planned to make some kind of 3rd Person replay on death, but had a lot of trouble positioning the camera without clipping into some wall. @badpaul34 Level -4 is a really difficult one - I need many attemps myself. Btw impressive run on Level -2!

DeepTech Industries by Acdia 2021-04-27T14:53:15Z

@axeltherabbit The wall is made of individual bricks, which are all rendered individually (I know ... this is a terrible solution). Every wall piece (2000 Bricks) has a box collider. Once a missile explodes near a wall, it is replaced by a wall with a collider for each brick and a kinematic rigidbody and every brick near the explosion gets its rigidbody activated, scaled down a tiny bit and pushed away. To increase performance, GPU instancing and a non-lit shader are used.

DeepTech Industries by Acdia 2021-04-29T09:46:49Z

I'm really happy to hear that many of you had as much fun as me destroying walls. It is fascinating since the mechanic is not really complicated and pretty easy to extend to other use cases. Another interesting thing in my opinion is, that our computers have no problem rendering the many thousands individual bricks in each level. Cool stuff these semiconductors!

@maximbegunov thats (on level 4) a option I didn't consider myself, but nice that you found it. The thing with level 4 is that I wanted to have a level, which is not solvable with only exploding all the walls.

DeepTech Industries by Acdia 2021-04-29T17:35:19Z

@ausstein Thanks for your try. It seemes like you hit a lot of stuff with the tail of the missile, so I might make the hitbox a bit shorter. I knew about the bug, but had it only once, so I'll try to figure it out. Probably some timing stuff.

In case someone else gets **stuck** and looks here to find an answer:

-You need to fully enter the transport things with the blue light

-If it gets too laggy, you can deactivate the decoration - that helps a bit

-If you turn, be aware that the rotation will invert (if you fly down, turn 180°, you will fly up)

DeepTech Industries by Acdia 2021-04-30T06:36:29Z

@maximegammaitoni if you can do a one missile run on each level, that would be extremly impressive! I must admit I myself never managed to do that. You are part of the hole team, aren't you? I commented it already, but that game is great. So in case anyone reads this: check it out! https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/48/hole-1

DeepTech Industries by Acdia 2021-05-02T07:19:04Z

@someone "take the direct route" - that's what I like to hear! Level -4 is really hard (and annoying) on purpose (-ish). It's the last "real" level, so I wanted to make it hard. However I can undestand, that it's frustrating not being abled to complete the game because of that. If you (or anyone else) have/has an idea for a workaround, feel free to post it here.

@sparked99 Definitely! I tried tweaking the controls a bit in the PostJam version (you can steer with more force, but the missile is as drifty as before). I struggle with the sounds every time, so I might not be abled to improve them a lot, at leat with my current knowledge.

Thanks for both of your feedback! Seems like destruction was the right chioce for this game :)

DeepTech Industries by Acdia 2021-05-05T14:19:21Z

@ausstein Yes I did. And let's say it works kind of. The thing is, that 3rd Person makes it a lot harder to estimate depth. For performance reasons I can't let the missile cast shadows onto the detructable walls, so it's really hard to know how close the missile is to any wall. The controls also feel very strong (because the camera not only rotates, but actually moves), while the impact is small, which makes it harder to deal with the drifty properties of the missle (which are a somewhat important part of the game). I guess putting the camera always at the side the player turns away from, could help, but in a narrow door frame you would need vision on both sides. I'd say it's tricky to get right.

DeepTech Industries by Acdia 2021-05-05T14:37:46Z

@jiangche thanks for playing! I'm glad you liked it. A one missle run for every level is extremly hard!

But since it seems to be a thing, I think I'll do what always is done for anything new - invent a name and an abbreviation (thanks DeepL!). So lets use Mono Missile Run, MMR for short (quick google search to check any other meanings - seems to be a vaccine - save to use). So I challange you all to do a MMR for each level. If anyone gets one for every level, I'll ... what could I do?... I don't know - put their name in the title screen of the game or write it on the tables. Anyway I would be really impressed! Currently I have MMRs for Level 0,-1,-2 and -5. Can you beat me?

@jk5000 thanks for your comment! the hitbox seems to be a big difficulty / problem. I'm searching for a solution and did a first try in the PostJam version by decreasing the hitbox size a bit. This however isn't optimal. Maybe I'll find something later.

Project Asylum by Zackary Bazzle 2021-05-01T07:55:32Z

This was really really nice. It's impressive, how you created this atmosphere while using the ProBuilder texture sometimes. I think the best part here is really the combination of some features. The slow walking, the enemy animations and their behaviour, the lightning and the cutscenes. The end was truly scary, especially when the person did lie on the floor (I was thinking about the forest and was glad it didn't go on like that). You also managed to build up this expectation of the face being somehow weird, while doing the last cutscene. Only thing I want to poit out, is that the camera controls are not that pleasant. But all in all, really well done!

The circuit by AdamsMcCall 2021-05-01T07:02:52Z

When I finnished the game, I thought that the game was a little short. But after thinking for a moment, I think it's ok, since it's a jam game. There went a lot of effort into setting up this system, so there would be the potential to do some other interesting levels. The concept is also pretty well extendable (multible IC in-/outputs?) and could even find its use cases embedded into other games. So all in all, a really good demo with a lot of potential!

The concept is really cool and I think I can see where you're going with this. However making the concept into the game, which it could potentially be would require a lot of things. You were an a good way, but I think the time just ran out.

It is just an immense work to set up every type of getting water and some feedback for the player, making it balanced, give the player clues on what to do next. It is just a big project for a short period of time.

As a prove of concept it worked however fine. There were different typed of destruction, the dragging feelt right and the transition was well implemented. I had fun, but it was a short game.

Really difficult, but also truly fun. The graphics are great, the sounds good, all in all a fun entry. Thanks!

Highly Successful Research Submarine by James Macgill 2021-04-30T19:47:08Z

This is really nice! I like the artstyle and the good tile system. I like all types of build your [ANYTHING] and try not to die with it. I didn't fully figure out what each and every module does (water? amn't I under water anyway?), but I got the main ones and made this submarine.

While surfacing it was fully on fire and everything was broken. That's my style of doing things! I had a lot of fun, there are of course things that could be tweaked, but I think the other comments give already a good overview about those. I'll definitely keep this game and maybe we'll even see a save system some day? :) Well done guys!

It took me some time to realize, that you change the background and this is why the obstacles disappear, but once that was clear I had a lot of fun playing it!

Sinking Deep by JgBGDelta 2021-05-01T14:30:06Z

Cool concept and nice graphics, but at some point I was just sinking without anything happening and then just suddenly died. So I guess I didn't quite get the goal. Anyway, in my opinion the controls are pretty intuitive.

DEPTHS OF THE INDUSTRIAL COMPLEX by pierogo 2021-04-30T11:30:28Z

That was a really pleasant experience. I like the atmosphere of this huge building. Everything looks massive (reminds me of portal). In my opinion the darkness, which fits the game pretty well, can also make some jumps pretty hard, because the platforms blend in with the background. Maybe some dimm glow at the endge of the platforms or some glowing particles falling on the platforms (sparks? lava? Everything destroying death acid?) could help the player to see, where to jump.

I think you also did a great job at the "level" loading system (Or at least I think the double doors are for that purpose).

@zuhairghias same - was still fun though. Maybe we'll see an entire game some day...

Head'quarters by YogurtTheHorse 2024-10-20T07:53:04Z

I really enjoyed this one! It was pretty hard (I lack any reflexes) but I managed to barely beat it on the third run. Thanks for this entry!

The Deep Dive by Acdia 2024-10-07T09:26:44Z

@daflamingpotato hmm, weird, didn't encounter that while testing. Could you try to explain, when that happened?

The Deep Dive by Acdia 2024-10-09T12:24:00Z

Hey! Thanks everyone so much for playing and leaving feedback!

@sockenpuppe yeah, I couldn't really get the arrows to be an obvious thing to click at.. I just hoped people would figure it out

@pincushion you made it! I wasn't too sure if the difficulty was too high but I think I'm quite pleased with the result

@rillep it's like with most small creatures - cute but a bit annoying...

Hmm, I feel like I'm in the possession of an unreasonable amount of things...

Are you listening? by Sockenpuppe 2024-10-08T11:49:15Z

I finally got to play this one. It was sitting on my list of "potentially good entries" and didn't disappoint. I kinda aimed for the bad ending, feeling that it would be interesting and somehow failed at failing on the first run. Anyway, it was surprisingly hopeful :)

This was really nice! I enjoyed the graphics and the overall polished look. Havent seen anyone use RPG maker so far but it seems to be a viable option.

time to go watch some YT shorts... Anyway, this was surprisingly fun! I think I would have enjoyed some more challenge but it makes clear that those algos are pretty effective.

Things I learned about social media: - it's all about delivery speed - no one cares if content is lost - laws are more like suggestions - 25 minutes are 1.500 seconds. assuming that an average youtube short is about 20s and assuming an average watch time of 50%, thats 10s per short, so 150 shorts in 25 minutes. 1.000 shorts views make about 0,03$, so we earned roughly 0,0045$ - what a deal!

Congrats on your ranking! That's pretty impressive - although not a big surprise :)

Slimeow Game by Quan Ran 2024-10-08T12:05:46Z

Seems like I'm not the first one noticing, that the graphics are really amazing. Everything is super clean, sound design is nice and it's a lot of fun. The slow pace is a little unfortunate since I'd spend a lot of time waiting for the next upgrade and the enemies aren't that big of a challenge. I did the 25k Upgrade and quit when seeing the 125k one but couldn't resist the urge to ask our friend and helper Cheat Engine to show me what was coming...

Really nice style and somewhat easy to undestand gameplay. This was pretty entertaining!
