Any chance of a Mac or Web build? I would love to give the game a try, but only have a Mac at my disposal
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD47 → Invisibles' Loop

I can see where you're going for it with the idea, gotta do lots of things while also being under pressure, pretty good for a compo game
@tolmera The Mac build is done. I hope it works as it should. I have no Mac, so I wasn't abled to test it. I tried WebGL as well, but it doesn't show a windowsize that would give any chance of playing the game.
Cool Idea. I'm not sure I really cared for the running back to the center to listen for the enemies. It made it a little frustrating. But It was cool to run around to the consoles and activate them. It was cool that you allowed one to be prepping while you went off to do another one.
Interesting game. Reminded me of this http://www.hardcoregaming101.net/enemy-zero/. If you didn't know about that game the similarities of how the halls look and the invisible enemies is uncanny. Regardless, nice work.
@roolow The game is new to me, but it makes sense, that the concept of using sound to find invisible enemies is already used in some games. I got the idea in first place from FNAF.
It's an intresting concept. I agree having to run back to the console to hear is kind of frustrating. Maybe you can have a way to hear enemies from the terminal but but the tradeoff is it cost player's time to activate? Anyway the area and graphics look nice and clean.
@rainyday2800 I'll Keep your idea in mind and think about a way of implementing it. It sounds like a fair solution.
So far thanks for all the Feedback and also for playing.
Web build is now available. The downloadable versions however seem to be a little better.
I love the graphics and atmosphere but my mouse sensitivity was too high so I couldn't control the camera very well. Other things were great nice job :v:
Damn, that really gave me the chills! A nice, rounded experience!
i liked the console, was doing ls and what not to see if there were any easter eggs xD
I was actually having chills and got scared few times. Great entry : D
Scary game ! Very original and kinda hard to understand but great !
Neat game. I kept looking for a username and password to login, but I couldn't ever find it.
@levidsmith In the room in the middle there is a blue paper on a wall. It contains both. I would recommend to write down the password since it is at least for me hard to rememer.
The idea is cool. The trade off that the player has to make about where to go vs gathering information about the enemies location adds tension. The Death screen is funny. Nice interpretation of the theme.
Interesting concept! I like games with command lines like this. It took me awhile to understand what to do but I eventually found the login after a few deaths. A prompt like "Press LMB to use console" when you get near the monitor would be helpful imo. An enemy killed me through a wall once but seeing as how this is a compo submission aka "hard mode" I think that's forgivable lol nice game!
@cole-and-jordan-studios I just realized for the first time that the controls aren't explained anywhere... Thats kind of dumb. Especially since you can open the console only from the screen and not from the whole EMP. For now I'll edit the description a little bit. Thanks for the hint.
Hey, I got your game on stream, and enjoyed playing it! Here's the vod if you wanna rewatch; https://www.twitch.tv/videos/779148172
And thanks for submitting your game!
The idea is cool, but I did not really understand how I was supposed to play, I think the concept could have been simplified to be a bit more easy to understand. For example, I never had the time to understand how consoles work, as I kept being killed before I had time to write any command that did something : I type something, it says to type help to have info, i do that, I see there is a command EMP, I try that, it says I can't, and I get killed before I can do anything else. Maybe having buttons to click would have been better in this case ?
This is overall a very interesting concept, and the graphics work pretty well. It's too bad that the learning curve is so steep, the idea is promissing but for a game jam, one needs to catch the player immediately or lose him very quickly.
@justcamh Thanks for playing it. I was watching your stream but had no twitch account so I wasn`t abled to comment. However for me this has the advantage that I saw which things were easy and when some mechanic (like being abled to keep the button pressed) were hard to figure out. Seing someone else playing my game is really useful feedback. As the developer you always see some things as obvious which might be unclear to the player. I will keep the hints in mind (especially with colored coridors). So thanks for taking the time.
@jrevel It's hard to find the balance between telling the player how to play and let him figure out things by himself. Originally a tutorial was planned but as it usually is the time got a bit short at the end. Maybe some dim red flashing lights at the buttons to show they are interactable? Maybe also one fifth console in the middle to being abled to explore the console without being attacked (at least at the easier mode)? So thank you for playing and giving feedback. Feedback is the key to improvement!
