Throwing people around is extremly satisfying and fun! cool concept, graphics and audio i would love to see some powerups like throws enemy super fast so they start to price everyone in their path, or bounce once of the wall before dying, exploding etc... and also one thing annoyed me a bit... when enemies enter the battlefield they go through the gates which is good but when they escape they just disspper after touching gate this part was a bit annoying

@majadroid I had this problem with GodotEngine (engine this game was made in) after i changed my pc... graphics drivers update helped me so my guess is you dont have updated graphics card drivers or your card is extremely old so is simply not able to support version of OpenGL needed to use GodotEngine

Very nice concept! I restarted the game once because i thought that my island is broken because i didn't have stone on it but it turns out i just had to get enough food to sail to next island that was a bit unclear... also there is that bug or just broken controls which causes that changing the building we trying to build is a bit annoying. The game idea can lead to really intresting gameplay if you will work on it outside the jam : )

I dont understand one thing... from where is the decistion that life ends the game? it was quite dissapointing tbh, i was expecting like after i will get a life i will be able to place deathstars or so : P and then the goal is like achieve 10matter/sec which is quite an difficult task considering than we have limited space and things are under gravity with each other

also it would be lovely if asteroids wold bound around the canvas, because now they are like "poof! aaaand it's gone"

idea of combining planets to nebulas, a lot of mass to black holes is great but a bit under develop

Game gets quite boring after short time and confusing at 1st... So i ended up with no time that i truly had fun, the gameplay idea is really great but the execution not so much, i would love to same some kind of upgrades, cash, special fishes that you can eat and give you fuel, restore hull strength, give fast and short boost, give stacking movement... etc. and also something to do expect swiming left and right... maybe dash? which allows us to collect these powerups and eat special fishes

My reasoning was that the time pressure helps with that there is not that much combinations and it would get boring after a way shorter time. Also it add that rouge-like-ish feeling of learing with each new run... but maybe i am completly wrong ^^

@mrerdalural well it depends on someones definition of rougelike's and rougelite's... if you use the berlin's interpretation then yeah it's not rougelike 100% but there are games like: "Slay the spire", "Don't starve", "Spelunky", "Darkest dungeon" or "FTL" which are considered rougelike's and have nothing or little in common with the original "Rouge" aswell, IMO it's more like an idea/player experience than list of steps and/or rules which define rougelike/lite's

@honey-pony Thank you for feedback. Yeah, the game is a bit laggy it's something in the code that i didn't notice at 1st and didn't had time to fix it later. Well, i had to agree that there is almost no point of using any combination other that making fish or apples for food and terrain to get to the runes... My 1st idea was to make some kind of quest/challenge or "good world requirements" system but i scrap it for some reason, dunno why tbh... Maybe i was scared that it's not fun or i wouldn't do it in time... and i think thats why the point system isn't playing out the way it’s meant to. I am going to work on this with my 1st idea in the future ^^

Neat concept, pixel art looks nice and minimalistic which is good because there are more and more of us on the screen and thats oddly satisfying when you leave the base with all the bois at once doing their tasks, level design feels clunky dont know why but it's quite smart to restart our path from time to time so it doesn't get boring by walking the same path over and over again. Speaking of boring... the most boring part of games imho is repetive waiting without noting new... so the fact that when you kill yourself your clone doesn't just stand where you died for the rest of time forces us in some places to awkwardly stand on button for the whole duration and it really feels like unskipable cutscene... it would be great if we could just press (R) and clone would not die but stand still the rest of time... it would remove this awkward waiting and add a bit more dynamics to the gameplay

Concept and interpretation of the theme is amazing but the gameplay execution... from where do i start? at the beginning i without knowing for about half minute left the map by just going left ( or right ). I didnt know i had a gun because the text happend to pop for no time ( border of the hitbox or something ). You just cannot avoid 1st mine and thats annoying as fuck... i know teaching the player but bruh everyone knows what landmine does it's piggy banking knowledge : P Inputs are super unprecise and clunky which doesn't help at all with avoiding the landmines or controling the chain of dwarfs. So in few places it's just more fun and easier to get killed than trying to dodge the landmines because dodging is unfun and tedious. You can also complete the game by going outside the borders. BUT the visuals are super cool for eyes! Sounds are simple but do the job. It's good game that just needs a bit more love : ) Nice entry!

The game completely doesn't tell what to do so at first i just though we have mindlessly dodge the obstacles without any display of my score... and after a minute i turned the game off and rated poorly... but when i started writing comment i read about space and some kind of breaches... i played again and compleated the game and fairly enjoyed it, changed the ratings... But that doesn't change much that the game was very easy and not engaging for me maybe because our 2 tasks were really simple... it could be neat if we had to truly sacrifice one task over the other and the diffultly would be to finding the time to escape the loop. Graphics are nice i really like low-poly especialy tree, music for me was annoying and other sound effects are nearly non-existant BUT the concept of forcing player to multitask and doing one action from in this case skill game and other from kind of puzzle was neat!try to work around it after the jam : ) try diffrent genres maybe you discover something cool!

Art style is nice but sometimes it kind of fucks with the collision of the platforms, effects work well, level design is great and it teaches the player slowly but surely how to play the game, audio is cool. Visuals: I adore background in part 1, rest of backgrounds are great too, enemies worked well, planets where fine as well Audio: Works really well, simple and does the job. Gameplay: Main mechanic is nice but after playing it for some time ( finishing 1st part ) it didnt had anything more to offer for me. Level design felt just like random planets placed around. There was no moments of challenge ( only backtracking ) nor moments of discovery new things that we can do with it. So main mechanic definitely felt not explored enough which we can see both in obstacles and level design. BUT it is good mechanic! try to experiment with it after the jam, like adding diffrent obstacles, think about making some big jumps or think how it can change behaviour of the palents, etc. etc. Overall nice entry. Visuals and audio are fantasitc they just scream with personality! The mechanics are simple but work well enough to not be annoying or clunky. Level design could use a bit more love because 1 level to 1 mechanic is just not enough to properly introduce, develop and explore the mechanics. But considering current difficulty of the levels and kind of unfairness this little amount of levels have some charm to it. Also thanks for few laughts! Nice entry : D

@bajtix @jonas-michael Thanks, yeah the game has some bugs like the roll or the train (and many, many more) but imho it's better to have some bugs in game than deliver under-develop game without finish line and other important aspects like sound and "5 minutes" polish that change the world for player.

I have read the devlog, rough! Good job on delivering (no pun intended) the game after all!

I like the retro style of it (Art and sounds) as for the gameplay i have some feedback: - Player ship should move automatically as the player moves the mouse (without having to hold the button) - Fire should be on RMB Those two can be summaried to: Dont fight with player habits! It's losing battle most of the time - I was confused when i found out that you can actually place more than one package in one ship, feedback suggests that one is enough - with that being said i would recommend implementing some minor randomness like: Distance from the player, speed at which it moves, amount of airlocks on the ship, length of it, direction from which it comes or maybe even things like: amount of ships at once or add a counter how many packages given airlock can hold

Biggest issues for me where: A) lack of tooltips to make sure if given item is what i think it is but more importantly i wasn't sure what the right machine options do exactly B) Arrangement of UI is quite clunky, i dont have specific propositions but i think it should be built from the start, things to focus on: No unnecessary eye movement (distances), no unnecessary overlays of the UIs, general formating, etc.

I love the esthetics!

Gameplay is very chill and cool for few minutes... I wish it would be more strategic by giving the player information where given packed goes, it would allow planning the routes for the drivers.

Other small things: I liked the dynamic of running out of space and size of boxes, i would like to see the "buy driver" button to be grayed out and display amount needed instead of just pooping when it's ready (unless i didn't understand something)

The game also needs some smarter RNG and balance... The player was just flooded with packages and because there is not much player can do it felt unfair

The narration was nice, animations where solid i loved the jump animation! But many other aspects are missing few things... Controls are generally clunky, collision of the world felt weird, the camera should be zoomed out because sometimes you barely could see where you should go, in current set-up camera logs behind the player therefore we see even less where to go, it's weird to force shift+space as jump without checkign the velocity of the player... because you can just hold shift in place and still jump

There are also few bugs: - players can just fly on the walls - when starting moving our sprite increases in size

I liked the hook mechanic a lot! i would just want to see bigger grapple range! Also note to dash... maybe it's just my personal preference but i would like it to work in the direction we are facing instead of WSAD, i think it would be also helpfull if dash had bigger cooldown (2/3 sec) because now it's often more optimal and reliable to just use dash and that just feels like a big waste when hook was so cool!

Very nice entry! Love the quite innovative approche to the theme

Honestly i would be quite cool game when developed further! With more randomized people positions and quirks so it becomes more replayable, new levels would help too, maybe some other events or activies!

And random though: What if it would be multiplayer where you compete with other reapers to get as many targets as you can, add to this some powers like: changing someones look, adding traps, helping people espace, or other boosts and i imagine it beging quite fun with friends (bigger map and people would be nessesary in this case)
