I think they're could have been different level design approaches for the game, because traversing the level felt a bit too easy. Great game!
Decent entry and a very good concept to go off of! I wish there was more to game.
Pretty cool game I just think there should be more abilities for the characters.
I think it would be hard to dodge bullets at times when I don't have much room to dodge. Decent entry.
I like how this game turned out, but if the original shooting was made easier I would rate this higher. Good entry.
I think there could have been more moving obstacles to further impede me from reaching the doors. Also, for the doors that give a lot of points, I think they be should've been located in hard to reach spots. Good game!
Decent game there just needs to be more puzzles to it. I think having a jump mechanic would have made this game more interesting.
I'd say you're game definitely fits the theme very well. However, I found it difficult over time when trying to get a closer match of the enemy bacteria.
I enjoy the challenge that this game presents, making me think carefully about my next move. I think to add more challenge the antibodies should spawn and move faster.
I think this game was interesting and funny at the same time! I think there should've been more impact by removing body parts bit by bit.
I think for this game jam, instead of having a lot of randomly generated levels, maybe you should have made up to 4 that were well designed. Just my opinion, though. Good concept.
I think there should be a sound effect that better reflects the character taking damage. Good game and funny, too. There appears to be a bug after selecting an upgrade, when I'm pressing the spacebar to shoot and it still purchases the upgrade.
Decent game, but I think the health should perhaps be in a more noticeable position, such as over the player's head. Or simply at the top of the screen because the resolution didn't allow me to see the health bar if it was at the bottom.
For the original version, I didn't like how I could accidentally walk into the stairs before I engaged with all of the enemies, if that wasn't the intention. For the enemies that only walked to the player, I think there could have been variation in their movement, such as dashing from time to time. Great entry!
I think it would be better if the enemy vehicles did their best to avoid touching the player's vehicle. That would keep them in constant movement and make it more challenging for the player to shoot them. Good entry.
I know I probably didn't survive long enough to spend points on upgrades, but I'm not exactly sure when I can upgrade my player. Overall it's a pretty neat and funny game, especially with the enemy sound effects. Reminds me of playing a cartoon network game.
I like how this is similar to playing poker. I think this game would probably be better if it had a random boss battle event. This game actually reminds me a lot of that ninja card game from club penguin.
It's a very interesting concept going on here, but if there was supposed to be a cut-scene at the end it didn't happen for me. This game definitely would have been better if there were more things to do. For example, if the player headed anywhere else besides east there could've been areas with unique level design to explore. Decent entry.
When I got to the third level it seemed that all enemies had their health bumped up so much that it became very hard to kill them. After losing to the difficult enemies on the third level, it seems I got restarted back to the beginning of that level. Unfortunately, it then became impossible to be able to complete the third level since the same situation repeated in which I keep losing. Please find a better way for the player to restart the game or level. Overall a decent game.
I like how I haven't played a game like this before. It's an interesting idea, but I don't see much fun in a game that doesn't have much interaction to play with. Decent game. Would definitely be fun to play with someone else.
Decent game, just needs polishing in terms of a more clear goal for the player. The trading system's UI was a little confusing; I think it needs some text to make it easier to understand.
A very cool idea I haven't seen in a while I believe. I enjoyed the suspense I experienced every moment. Hard game!
I really like how the concept was carried out! It really does fit with the theme. I think the tree units, no matter how far, should be able to find another target so as to give the player a better chance of surviving a round. Also, the audio transitioning sounded a bit rough when switching from planting to defense phase. Excellent work.
I appreciate that even when I set it on easy mode, it still gets very hard to complete a day as I progress. I love how there's different variations in enemies!
This game is very good, but the instructions on how to play were very confusing at first. It took me a little while to realise that the babies were the only ones who could load the cannons.
This is one of my favorite games I have on this site; good job! For the squares that reappear, maybe have them look different in a way to indicate that they will come back after a certain time. Awesome entry!
Really good game you got here, but for this one I think it should have had a different goal besides increasing your score as much as possible.
I was somewhat confused by the instructions, but I ended up figuring out how to play. I wonder, if there's already a box in the same location and level I'm throwing at, boxes collide, right? Decent entry.
A pretty good game you got here, making the timing a essential part of strategy. I think a better idea would have been giving the player two planting areas to work with instead of one. Then, for each space have them less than 10x10, and provide some teleportation device at a random square, just to give the player more of a challenge when preserving space. Lastly, you could have it where the planting spaces shrink over time, but only erase squares that weren't used. Just my suggestion but a great entry anyways!
Puzzle is somewhat interesting, but spawning onto a new belt can make the game more difficult since it causes the player to fall off sometimes. Good concept.
Not much to rate the audio on, but gameplay is decent. When I reached the other house, I wasn't sure I actually won because it ended up telling me I went insane. There was some immersion issues when I reached the end of the map, but that's ok.
Decent game, but I think the gameplay could have been sped up to make progression faster, since it takes a while to start from the beginning. I think there could have been some kind of power up to speed up the player's fire rate, instead of only increasing damage output.
The game is alright it's just the physics and collisions need some optimization to make the challenges more fair. For example, the inertia whenever the character lands might have produce too much skidding for small platforms. Another problem is that when I barely move I get a good amount of jumping distance when I think I shouldn't. Good entry!
Decent entry, just not much to do in this game. At first it was challenging to win, but eventually it becomes too easy to move through each obstacle. I think this game could have been better if the movement speed of the enemies was increased. The length of the bus could have also been extended, but that's ok.
Decent game it's just that it gets a little unfair when zombies are somehow able to attack the cracks on the ground through walls. Good entry!
I'd say the gameplay is decent, and some of the humor in the game makes it even more fun. The transitions into different areas are pretty cool, and the riddles are definitely challenging. For the general's riddle, it might just be me, but I wasn't sure if the answer was supposed to be somewhat obvious, because it felt as if there's not enough provided to get the answer. Decent entry!
A very well-developed game you have submitted here. I think the amount of asteroids could have been slightly reduced because dodging was extremely difficult while the ship was going from somewhat fast to super fast.
I appreciate the progression of the difficulty, but it seems the amount of enemies that get spawned stays at a limit and no longer feels that challenging. It also would've been nice if they were some pictures of what the turrets were because I was confused for what some did for a while. Decent game!
Gameplay is alright, it's just the regular combat method doesn't feel as responsive as the charged attack does. Sometimes I felt there was some spawning issues with the buttons whenever the lava would lower. Also, I think you could have the placement of the buttons more fair because sometimes I would be blocked off after chasing other buttons. Decent entry.
It's a pretty good and challenging game you made you here, but I'm just wondering to make life a bit more easier, could you have considered stacking cargo a possible mechanic? I think what could have made this game more fun would've been another goal for the player to keep track of, or possibly some item that acts as a bonus to the score. Of course, if you were to implement this new mechanic later on, the conveyor belt would probably need to be slowed down to compensate for more multi-tasking.
Decent game but I always get shocked whenever I'm asked to do a second button sequence, causing me to die later on. Am I supposed to press a button that corresponds to the letter each sequence, or am I supposed to press different ones each sequence?
Seems there's quite a bit of collision problems going on with the player and most of the doors at the beginning of the level. I get the feeling you spent more time on visual storytelling and audio than the actual gameplay. When it came to the combat, I understand why it's not much, but there seems to be not much purpose when the drones don't fight back. Decent entry.
Decent game, it's just the level design doesn't always provide an opportunity to move forward. Like on the brown, rock planet, there was no way to get off it onto another platform.
I think the fuel requirement was way too much even after I got the hang of things. Not very much mechanics going, making it seem that you spent more time on the graphics than gameplay. Maybe the mining should have been holding down E instead of repeatedly pressing E, because my hand eventually got tired of tapping E. Decent entry!
It possibly would have been better if audio was included for each level, since the last one had music playing. I did like the challenge when a level was more populated with enemies, but felt too easy for levels that didn't have much enemies to fight. The end boss was pretty easy, but was still pretty entertaining thanks to the music, too. Good try!
It wasn't as fun since this game is really just a walk and interact game, but did excellent in terms of visuals and audio. I feel that mood could have been scored higher if there was dialogue that better suited the game, because it came off as pretty simple. Good entry!
Pretty simple and nice looking game, and I enjoyed how it threw a nice twist for a tower defense game. For the web version, I didn't like how the camera movement wasn't as smooth as it could have been. Perhaps the windows version has the game run much better than the web version. Maybe the damage from the towers should have been increased because the monsters at end game became very difficult to hold back. Good entry!
I really did appreciate the simplicity this game was made with, and it was definitely challenging from the start. Only thing is that it can become eventually boring to play, but showing the amount of the time that passed can probably keep someone going for a very high score. Decent game!
Interesting gameplay and mechanics, but maybe decrease the amount of time the shield has to fly around. Maybe another level would have been a lot better, but I understand why it's just one. Perhaps increase the lava speed to make the game more tense to play.
A very good game you have submitted here. I somewhat didn't like the controls when it came to attacking and dashing at the same time, but the mechanics were still solid.
Sound effects and mood play well in making this game above average. It should've had more levels, but I can I understand why it didn't. Decent entry.
Game is alright, it's just the controls at first weren't very helpful until I got used to them on the keyboard. I admit that the combat isn't that good, since it boiled down to whichever character was on top of the other to get the kill. Some of the oxygen areas near the end were perhaps spread too far apart from the middle part of the course. Good try!
I don't know but after a while my hand does get pretty tired from clicking a lot, but the end goal is still pretty cool, though. The game was definitely challenging, but could have something else for the player to do like a very small mini game. Decent game!
The audio became really neat whenever the player moved! When it comes to matching the theme, maybe some other indicator could have helped to better understand the whole personal space idea. Pretty good game!
Yeah it's definitely too short, mechanics were decent, and didn't really see how the game fits the theme. Good try!
A very good game, but probably add another mechanic or thing for the player to do. Nice graphics and maybe add more stars to the skybox.
It seems the web browser link doesn't take me to the correct page.
Possibly find different music that better fits the game, and the movement can make the combat a little bit harder to utilize. Perhaps add more nodes instead of one at a time. Good game.
A decent first person shooter and it was probably too easy because I was able to shoot the monsters from a very far distance, making my journey much easier. I think the grappling mechanic could use some work, because at times it felt like it was giving me too much speed to land on anything. Great game, though!
A very good game, but it seems that selecting the people is sometimes unresponsive and makes playing the game harder. It might just be my internet, though.
Gameplay is pretty awesome, but the audio may slightly be too loud. What I did find confusing was the rate of cannon fire, because it seemed that I could keep firing if I was on a streak, but not if I missed.
My score: score.PNG
Overall the game is good, maybe have the impulse respond quicker instead of slower.
The game is definitely challenging from start to finish, but I think to add even more challenge is to have the player die from the rolling spikes. When I found out that I could have walked through the obstacles without taking any penalty was a little immersion breaking for me. Graphics are pretty nice, although they're pretty simple still.
Hey the meteors were quite the challenge, considering that they almost made me jump out of my seat sometimes. Although very simple, the graphics made the game look very authentic and somewhat believable. Comparable to your game, mine probably has one instance that also provides some suspense for the player. Very excellent game you made here.
I'd say make the game shorter to keep the replayability and the player's interest alive and fresh. Typing for so long can eventually feel tedious, even if there's an incentive to keep on doing so. Maybe next time add a speed boost and have the words shorter to type so progress can be made faster.
Gameplay is mostly good, but it may feel repetitive to just keep shooting to temporarily remove darkness. Perhaps add a cool down for the space grenade to help mix up the gameplay instead of relying on the left mouse action event.
Maybe decrease the speed of the dash mechanic, even though it's cool to use when dodging all the enemies. When the game gets going it becomes perhaps too hard to survive more than a minute, but somehow I got to 1:12 as my best time. I think reducing the amount of turrets can make life a lot more easier for any player, and maybe there needs to be more cover for the player to use. I really like how it's fast-paced, and the lighting, but the red bots should be more easier to kill.
Gameplay was amazing for a top-down 2D game, but the level design for a couple of the levels was a struggle to work with. Like with the last level, I don't know if it's a good idea to have the player win by barely making it in time. Good 2D game and graphics.
Gameplay is good enough for this game to be fun. Right now I'm just rating the current state of graphics and it's mostly solid. Make sure to loop the theme song so we don't have to play without any music. One more thing: it's not really innovative because many games are like this, but what does try and make it original is the random fall of the meteor.
This game was definitely challenging, but probably could have used a bit more originality to feel innovative. Perhaps the force applied from the shooting could be less powerful to make things somewhat easier.
Since some of the issues have been addressed, all I need to say is that the idea was there, but wasn't executed correctly. The movement does provide challenge, but it was very hard for me to maneuver around the obstacles. Good try, though.
After a while, it gets a bit repetitive and feels like there isn't much variation for each level. The artwork is good, but can use some more detailing for the background of each level. The player movement is somewhat challenging when trying to kill the bacteria, but doesn't quite fit the gameplay as a whole. Also, it doesn't really feel like I'm running out of space, since the screen size stays the same, too. Decent first try!
I'd say one of the main issues of this game is pacing, because at first the amount of enemies that are spawned is too little and too easy to overcome. When wave 2 starts, all of a sudden there are so many enemies it becomes hard to multi-task and they become more of a priority than defending the towers. I recommend that you play Civilization 5 and understand the progression of the AI players as the game goes on. The game mechanics are pretty solid, and I like the idea of spawning enemies from the flying ships. Also, I think it would have been better if some of the debris floated over the island not under it, to make it easier to fortify the bases.
For whatever reason, I can't move on after I buy a floppy disk during the tutorial scene? Am I missing something or is there a bug going on? I'll check back later once you reply to this.
Hey I just wanna say your son did a pretty good job, especially for a game made entirely in SNAP. Gameplay is cool, but I wish there was some info that told us how to play at the main menu. Not bad really, maybe speed up the player movement so the game doesn't feel slow.

Epic Space Potato by Maxime Cyr 2019-10-14T23:59:27Z ♥ 0
Decent entry and interesting concept, but I think it also would have been better if the enemies also dropped loot. What probably would make this game more fun if there was a knockback for the player/enemies and a jetpack mechanic.
