The graphics and audio is really cool. I got stuck on the little ground part between first two areas and not sure how to get past it?

I was more interested in just exploring the cute little worlds here than going for a high score! I think I was missing something about the jumping mechanics though, because I had a hard time getting off the first planet, and I couldn't get past the third.

I think the concept is cool. I had some problems with the controls, sometimes I was not able to jump while I was moving.

@kamikaziuk The spherical planets have a gravitational force. Once you leave the atmosphere, you begin to fall in whatever direction the gravity had you fall before exiting. Since the other planets don't have a gravitational force, you can angle yourself to use them as a platform and get to the next spherical planet.

I hope that helps.

I agree with the others! It was a cool concept and I loved the art a lot. Wasn't really sure what to do but it was happy exploring a bit

Cool game, platforming upside down was very confusing! Unfortunately the giant death laser brought a swift end to any of my good attempts.

I like the music and the concept. Gravity was well done but it seemed to be dropping a lot of space bar inputs. Maybe make a slightly easier stage at the beginning to get used to it. Nice work.

The gravity felt a bit weird, and collision on vertical-ish platforms was hit or miss - sometimes I could run up them and sometimes I just kinda slid off them. Collecting the stars is difficult and they seem to spawn completely randomly instead of in places the player could reach.

Now that all the minor gripes out of the way -

I really like the art style - it's cute and effective. I think the concept could go a long way with a bit of polish, namely if the gravity fields affected your trajectory and didn't drop you more or less straight down on entering them - so a gravity gradient if you will instead of a gravity field. The basic music was repetitive but catchy, and I'd like to hear it fleshed out. All in all, a nice little entry!

Nice idea. As others have mentioned did have a few issues where jumping didn't always trigger on the key-press. But all in all a nice submission. Good job!

Great game! i couldn't go beyond the second planet, arrow controls got a little bit weird some times, but i really like the game mechanics. :space_invader:

The concept is quite fun, but I was confused at first because the rotation gets stuck everytime you leave the atmosphere. Gravity still works, but the player can't rotate anymore, that felt somewhat strange. It was kind of hard to control too because of the slow movement, and the big beam thingie was pretty much unavoidable. The random level changes make it very challenging and hard to learn too. Maybe if you just revise the level design and balance the physics a bit, that would already do a lot! The graphics are effective, the music is strange (which fits the theme quite well actually), I liked the overall appearance a lot. This is a great entry and may have potential to be expanded, I hope you keep working on it!

Interesting concept. I found the jumping and controls quite challenging though - ie. could perhaps do with a little refinement in terms of control responsiveness. Other than that, nice entry, well done

bustosman 2018-08-20 09:34

Decent game, it's just the level design doesn't always provide an opportunity to move forward. Like on the brown, rock planet, there was no way to get off it onto another platform.

cedric-fey 2018-08-20 10:45

Control a a bit weird but the idea works. Graphic and music as well. But because the star are spawning every where why should I leave the first planet?

hilvon 2018-08-25 08:51

This game is... confusing.

I know that handholding is not always a good thing, but here the route player is supposed to take is really not obvious. And there appear to be no saving from the cosmic ray sweeping through space.

Also some obstacles are not obviously dangerous and seem to appear randomly.

So while dying time and time again in a game is fine, but it must be accompanied by a feeling that you are still progressing throught the game. And here... I just couldn't feel that. So the fun-factor of the game took a nosedive.

The concepts are cool. But level design is ruining them.

Great game! Very cool and interesting! :D

ventura 2018-08-25 11:35

Very imaginative, I didn't know where I had to go sometimes, maybe the view should be bigger :).

eric-kulbiej 2018-08-25 17:38

Great art style and sound. Good job. I like the mechanics as well. Keep it up!

Please do check my game maybe you’ll like it and leave some feedback.
