Probably the toughest tutorial I've ever tried :P

Interesting mechanics with the inventory, although something like progress bars might be easier to glance at compared to the tiny numbers for damage.

that was an amazing tutorial and really fun mechanic! Make sure you play more games so that you can get 20 ratings though!

There was a ``` index out of bounds ``` error after(or at the end) of the loading bar at the game's start. Used browser was Firefox (on ubuntu)

Chrome doesn't throw an error message, but is stuck with the loading bar finished.

Brave worked.

Great game! Very cool and interesting! :D

The tutorial was amazing and I really liked the graphics and all the multicoloured stars in the background. The bullets were quite hard to see against the red stars so it might be nice if the bullets glowed a bit to make them clearer.

Well finished game, good and clear tutorial, fun gameplay. Nice work in general. Well done! Keep on it!!

Nice game! I love shooters, so if I could have actually manually been shooting, I think I would have liked that better. An interesting use of the theme. A little more polish and letting the player actually shoot may make it even more fun. Good work!

It is a really nice game! I loved the inventory system that allows you to power-up you attacks. Bullets are quite faster than the player's movement, so that made it a little bit difficult right from the beginning. But nice work!

Decent game, but I think the gameplay could have been sped up to make progression faster, since it takes a while to start from the beginning. I think there could have been some kind of power up to speed up the player's fire rate, instead of only increasing damage output.

Tutorial in this game is a must and this one really helped me. Maybe movement of the players ship should be dynamic. Nice entry

I got as far as filling up my cargo with level-ups, maybe I could improve things there too by discarding old and replacing them, but when I reached that level I was already doomed by the thing I was running away from. As some people have commented on, it would have been nice if the movement was a bit more fluid. Not full speed - full stop. The mechanism of being stunned was interesting too, but it was a bit too easy to get stun-locked and then die. Basically it felt like if I got hit once I was dead. So the components are there for a really nice arcade game, but the core mechanics would need a bit more work to really hook the player. The line graphics, I really liked too. Not often you see that in LD.

Nice work! I feel like not enough people put tutorials in their games, so I'm really glad your game had one! (It's much more fun than reading text on how to play on the game's page). I would have liked a way to discard old upgrades. Just like the commenter above me, I got to a point where I couldn't place the upgrade in the holding area but couldn't pick up new ones as well. I actually really like the stunlocking when you get hit. I like that instead of having a health bar and taking damage, the "damage" is in the form of slowing you down and making it easier for the fire behind you to catch up. That said, it might have felt more fluid if getting hit knocked you back, rather than just freezing you in place. The enemy bullets were also a little hard to see against the background. I really like the tetris-grid based upgrade system. It fits the theme really well (I ran out of space pretty quickly haha!), and it adds a cool multitasking element to the game.

Great job!

Normally not a fan of tutorials in games, but this one was well-done. Lots of cool elements in this game. Thanks for making it!

Have a great LD!
