LD38 — A Small World

Infection by Notaveerus 2017-05-02T06:49:42Z

Some suggestions: - Currently, the enemies always aim directly at you, so you can always easily dodge by just constantly moving perpendicular to where the enemies are. - Sound effects and different types of enemies/weapons would greatly enhance this game.

It reminds me of diep.io, which I rather enjoy.

RoboLand by slovakyan 2017-05-02T06:12:50Z

The robot is really cute, and I'm looking forward to more levels ^_^.

Pieni Saari by JasperDev 2017-05-02T07:01:38Z

This is the best game I've played from the jam so far :D. The basic mechanics leave a good amount of room for fun and humorous puzzling elements.

Small World Defender by Horanoven 2017-05-02T07:08:21Z

There are some strange collision mechanics (even without building anything, it seems you can collide with the borders of the land), and the starting unit seems somewhat overpowered, but I found this quite fun.

a small game by Unihedron 2017-05-02T06:23:04Z

Cute small game. I found it more fun to play it with the text heavily enlarged, and think maybe it'd be better if it were that way by default.

The Quest for the Botijo by MarioBG 2017-05-02T06:25:50Z

Love the art, and botijo is such a funny word to me!

A Small Wheel by Evan Minto 2017-05-02T06:18:31Z

The movement is currently somewhat clunky, as left/right sometimes don't register it seems.

Mite Makes Right by Spiria 2017-05-02T06:28:51Z

Reminded me of platform fighters in a good way :)

LD40 — The more you have, the worse it is

Keyboard Kitten by qzqxq 2017-12-05T17:00:28Z

@rob-white: Thanks for the suggestions regarding extra animations! The game does have background music - do you have sound turned down somehow?

LD42 — Running out of space

Brain's little symbiont by Local Minimum 2018-09-01T19:59:18Z

Reminds me of a lot of the games that increpare makes :)

Not Enough Space in Space by clue 2018-09-03T22:05:22Z

@abhimonk @local-minimum You can discard your items by right clicking on them.

LD46 — Keep it alive

Boggle Battle by clue 2020-04-22T07:07:25Z

@pythooonuser Hello! I think we were having some server issues earlier today, but it seems to be working again now.

LD48 — Deeper and deeper

Patchwork by Herman Chau 2021-04-27T03:26:14Z

Wow, this is a really impressive amount of content for a game jam like this. Lots of interesting puzzles, and everything is tied together nicely by the story

Match! Drop! Match! by clue 2021-04-28T20:11:26Z

@dalloner The game has an accessibility mode, as noted in the controls, which you can enable by pressing A. Let us know if you still have trouble distinguishing the tiles in the accessibility mode.

Match! Drop! Match! by clue 2021-04-28T20:52:50Z

@offdutyextractors @extar We thought about having a longer or extensible timer, but in playtesting the standard mode felt very intense, it felt like it would be really hard to stay focused enough for more than two minutes.

For players who want less time pressure, we added the untimed mode, which is more of a puzzle based experience.

grGRIDid by John Gabriel 2021-04-28T05:47:04Z

Like Quetzakol, I would've liked to be able to move by holding down the arrow keys. I appreciated the way this game used to difficulty of turning around on the spot as a mechanic.

Dig Deaper by wigglewigglestudios 2021-04-28T04:14:37Z

I get a NullReferenceException if I click on the truck - not sure if it's supposed to do something else or not.

With only two different upgrades, there isn't really enough decision making at the moment - would be nice to have a wider variety of upgrades.

I also had the same problem where I couldn't go back to clicking mode as soon as I bought a worker (and once I have the worker selected, I can't get back into the menu either).

Rabbit Rappel by MatterLinx 2021-04-27T06:40:43Z

The movement concept is really cool and fun to play around with. It might even be nice to have some more sections playing around with just the gun on its own (like using it to reach higher places).

At the moment, it feels like the game is a bit too punishing - would be nice if there were checkpoints (maybe coinciding with the background transition).

Gecko Dive by bqq 2021-04-28T05:29:05Z

Lovely game - the puzzles are solid, and the animations and attention to visual detail for a game jam are incredible. :lizard: :lizard: :lizard: :lizard: :lizard:

Little Boy Commits WarCrimes Against Nature by Yahay 2021-04-27T06:18:25Z

Having some issues running the game in the WebGL version (getting a black screen when I enter the cave, and can't exit the settings menu after opening it).

The World's Greatest Fisherman by justinj 2021-04-28T05:04:48Z

Electricity mechanic was really neat, and the ending was lovely :3. Would love to see some different mechanics.

LD50 — Delay the inevitable

Collapsn't by Elendow 2022-04-18T21:56:49Z

I agree that it would be nice to get more points for keeping the building taller for longer, since it feels like at the moment you earn most of the points near the end when the building is short.

I might have also liked a shorter "animation lock" on moving (if you quickly tap up or down some of your inputs will get eaten), as it makes playing with the tall building a little frustrating since your movement speed is restricted.

Healer, LFG by malero 2022-04-12T05:17:53Z

Wow, I play healers in MMOs and this does a good job of simulating the feeling of trying to keep your team alive :P

Pier Pressure by LuckyFeathers 2022-04-18T22:02:16Z

Fun game, and the progression options give it a lot of longevity for a jam game. One thing I might suggest is allowing players to place the planks with the keyboard (eg. number the planks, or label them with keys that you can press to place them).

Ready... Set... SLOW!! by Birdwards 2022-04-18T21:47:31Z

I had fun with this, and the mechanic is quite novel. Might be nice to add a single player time trial mode.

Not Af-RAID by JM Studio 2022-04-12T03:21:48Z

Unexpected but nice use of the theme :)

Asteroid Anarchy by Mateu 2022-04-11T23:40:21Z

Had fun with this, but would have liked to be able to aim independently of movement direction.

LD53 — Delivery

Piggy Box by silvio 2023-05-12T09:07:06Z

Fun game, and I thought the visuals were cute.

I agree with @alpacalypse 's comment on the movement mechanics. I think for those reasons, most platformer games either have no momentum (ie. if you aren't holding to the side you stop moving almost immediately), or relatively slower acceleration (so you can make fine-tuned movements).

Handle With Care by emanon 2023-05-04T05:54:18Z

@jward Thanks for your feedback. Regarding the last level, it's intended to take you to a "congratulations" screen, but there was a bug in the build preventing that from happening :P

this game is crazy!!

LD41 — Combine 2 Incompatible Genres

Final Football Tactics by clue 2018-04-25T00:05:54Z

@nidup It's already possible to control using only the keyboard (with the exception of the opening menu screens) with the arrow keys, M, K, and space. We wanted to make it possible to play using only the mouse also, but didn't have time to implement that feature. Thank you for playing our game!

Final Football Tactics by clue 2018-04-25T00:07:24Z

@Eudes Franco You can play using only the keyboard arrow keys, M, K, and space (and this is probably the smoothest experience). We were unable to implement a mouse-only control scheme in time.

Final Football Tactics by clue 2018-04-30T18:24:43Z

@GenTel Thank you for the suggestions! It's already possible to tab through the players, but unfortunately itch.io doesn't let us turn off the base page's tab functionality, so it'll only work on the downloadable versions. That level you mentioned makes use of the fact that you can walk a player into the ball to swap their positions, allowing you to get the ball one unit closer to the goal.

Final Football Tactics by clue 2018-04-30T18:25:53Z

@pogo In that level, it's possible to push the enemy strikers out of the way and score a goal in a single turn. Remember that you can kick diagonally.
