Fun idea. I couldn't solve the second puzzle with the ball and the blue field that destroyed it :(

The hit boxes for the shrink and expand pads (or maybe it's the player after changing sizes) could use some tweaking. I notice after shrinking the world, it's tricky to line the player up on the same pad to use it again.

Had some troubled to play but have fun in the end. The graphics are simple but fit well

Good job overall! (:

Fun game with interesting level designs and a surprising amount of different mechanics for a jam game. I liked all of the mechanics and levels (I completed the game). The main issue I had was with the precision needed to get onto some shrink/expand pads - sometimes it required moving back and forth a lot to get into the tiny area that they worked in - this was especially bad in the level where you have to move the pad across the gap.

Quite an original game with neat mechanics. Felt a little like crazy golf! I also got stuck on the one with the blue box that destroyed the ball...

Ha! Proudly made it to "THE END"!

That's clever, wonderful game design and level design!

Some levels seem like there's no way to beat them, but wandering around and making the brain work you know there is a way.

The graphics are a perfect fit for the idea of the game, but I cannot give the top score since other people made impressive work visually.

Just one note: it's not very clear how the hitbox with the light green area (shrink/expand) works. Maybe that's what you wanted since some times trying to center the box to expand is very frustrating.

So you guys made a complete game in 72 hours, impressive!

@berkano: As a hint, the ball can pass over black areas without disappearing.

@anarbitrarymustache, @jcheatley: At one point, we were annoyed by this ourselves and were going to make it so you could press SHIFT to slow down your movement, but that completely slipped our minds at the end, so thanks for the feedback! I've actually just gone and added that feature to the flash version, since it's a very minor bugfix (only 4 lines of code). I hope that's kosher with the Ludum Dare rules, heh.

Thanks for the feedback everyone! We really appreciate it :D

The puzzle designing is very clever! I gave up at the level that throwing three balls at targets far left, I'm bad at aiming. Nearly every level I've played need a unique way of thinking. Nice entry, well done!

I like it! Its good how the game keeps throwing new puzzle mechanics at you when you have mastered one, keeps it fresh. Some levels needed a couple of tries before I got the new mechanic but it wasnt too frustrating

Very cool game!

Nice puzzles, and lots of content. :-)

The only nit pick I have is that the SFX are too loud in comparison to the music.

Great puzzle design and pacing. Really impressed that you manage to fit in all these mechanics and teach them at just the right pace, good job!

meaty-mclazerpantz 2017-05-09 14:37

Best LD38 game I've played so far. The mechanics and the puzzles you made with them were brilliant! Made it all the way to the end, totally into it the whole way. Nice job!

mcjammydodger 2017-05-09 14:45

A fun puzzle game. I made it to the puzzle where the three balls had to end up into the holes on the left hand side, I couldn't line up the shots properly.

Something that could be improved upon though is when the player is around the same size as the shrink/expand box it is hard to actually sit in the right spot to get the command to pop up, but apart from that it was a great game.

Also, I wasn't expecting so many levels and all the different mechanics for a Ludum Dare game. Good job!

simonreiser 2017-05-09 15:08

Wow, you have a really innovative mechanic there and you created so many levels! The music is also very nice.

I got stuck at the one level that seemed impossible for me, but I just saw, that some guys who posted comments have beaten all the levels (seems like I gave up too early).

Good job!

Very challenging but i did make it all the way to the end. I felt like i was doing certain levels incorrectly, maybe i did them all the intended route, but i highly doubt it. i felt like there wasn't enough information given to the player. I almost quit of the level before the last one, because of how impossible it looks.

uchiro 2017-05-09 20:02

Nice puzzle to solve!

ajayajayaj 2017-05-12 01:44

Really good level design and such a cool idea. My freind had a similar idea in the beginning but never finished. It's really cool to see this idea to an extreme level.

Awesome job! 5/5

This was a really really fun game! What it lacks in graphics it definitely makes up for in design. I loved how each level introduced a new or slightly different idea and it was really satisfying to see it work/figure it out. It definitely got really fun with picking up the balls. I think what was really cool there was you notice that they do this cool smooth/floating thing as you're carrying them around, which seems like nothing more than a cool aesthetic thing. But then when you come to the level with the blue area where you can't drag the ball across, and it occurs to you that you can just "toss" the ball across, it feels super rewarding because it's using something you've already noticed before, but in a new light. So that was really awesome!

One really small nitpick: Why do you have to press space to progress to the next level? It was a little annoying having to do that. I think it would be much better if it automatically took you to the next level, since I can't think of a reason you wouldn't want to once you've reached the exit.

Also the level with the long strip of green, where you have to shrink in such a way that the goal is close enough to jump on, I think that would be better if you made it such that if you shrink in the right way, the goal lands on one of the edges of the level. Since I didn't realize that the goal was "ground" that I could step on, and I kept thinking I was doing it wrong. Since in every other level the goal was always on solid ground, so it didn't occur to me that I could step on it. I think either having the goal be floating at an edge at an earlier level, or changing it so that the goal can be placed on a ground, would make this less confusing.

Overall, really great job guys!

That was surprisingly fun! I am impressed with the amount of different gameplay elements you put in. And the amount of levels! Great idea to proritize gameplay over graphics, I really didn't mind the simple graphics and I was pleasantly surprised by the ever increasing gameplay, it was a real discovery every level! Effective use of sound effects, too!
