Very nice game idea. You must think first, before you move! Great!
Great use of theme, and a really well made puzzler! I liked how puzzles would challenge you in different ways and make you rethink your initial assumptions. Really great work!
A really cool puzzle game! I love the way you used the size of the coins as a puzzle mechanic. A really cool idea and very cool execution!
So nice :money_mouth: The Graphics fit perfectly together, gameplay is smooth and the puzzle level are very nice! Really like your game!
Very, very impressive. This game is my favourite entry to the jam so far.
Stacking coins feels a little finicky. You don't apply any damping or increased friction to the inactive coins, do you?
Very cool game and idea i like how you have to control multiple coins.
I would however make sure that the inactive coins don't move or move less easy it was a bit irritating to have to switch between coins just because i push a coin away again by accident.
One other small thing is i would make it visible which coin is active now i just moved to see what coin was active but a little visual cue could have helped here. But very fun game i hope you get enough votes i think this one could end high
Very nicee!! Reminds me of classic vikings game! I love how the theme was incorporated and the puzzles are spot on, neither too hard neither too easy! Had a lot of fun with it! :)
Keep up the awesome work :D
Very clever game design !
Very good idea and overall a very good game! I really liked the music and also the puzzles felt well made. I think maybe the coins shouldn't roll around as much when they are not being used as it could get frustrating sometimes when you would try jump on a coin and it would just roll out of place. Apart from that, overall this is a very good jam entry!
Nice idea, pretty innovative so far. I couldn't get past the 40 cents door though. I tried to jump above it by stacking the coins on top of each other but it didn't work. meh. Nice job though, I would like to see an extended version of it :)
I really loved this game as it's probably the most complete game I've played yet. There were multiple interesting mechanics and there were enough levels to mostly make full use of those mechanics, meaning I kept getting surprised that there was yet another level to get to play. My only suggestions would be to implement the one change all the other commenters were asking for, less physics on sleeping coins, and maybe a level 0 that introduces the fact that you are in a mint and why you would want to escape because if you hadn't told me in the title I would not have known. Additionally it's a bit strange that A and D can control the coins like the left and right arrow keys, but W does not act like the up arrow key. Fantastic job overall!
Wonderful unique puzzle game. The implementation is completed and really fun. Great matching music.
Congratulations on your game.
With the help of amazing art, boppin tunes, an ingenious idea, and brilliant design, this is easily one of my favorite games this jam! Keep up the good work (:
p.s. I just finished the game, and my only complaint is I wish there was more. Amazing job!
This game is Awesome, in the begining I thought it was kinda super easy, and then BOOM!!
Loved the way that you need to think how are you going to receive the change to pass some levels.
I would rework the controls, I would love to use my both hands without moving them through the keyboard, I recommend: - A and D: lateral movement; - Space:jumping; - Ctrl: toll paying; - Q and E: cycling through the coins; - Press and Hold R for x seconds: Restart.
On the press and Hold, it would be good if it was shown to the player that he is restarting the level by using a radial bar or any other visual feedback.
Great entry, By the way... It was an AWESOME game, had lots of fun ^^
This is extremely good. The level design is extraordinary, and the mechanics all work really well together. The music is great and fits the game well, and the graphics are just as good.
All of the puzzles were really interesting and all felt unique.
The physics could be a bit weird at times, but never interfered with gameplay.
This is by far one of the best games I've seen yet.
Really awesome puzzles! Love it <3
I did encounter what seemed to be a bug, I got to a level where you start with two 25c coins, roll to the right, and there is a toll for 5c - when I tried to pay the money the prompt disappeared, but my coin stayed where it was and the door didn't open. Restarting level didn't help :(
Seems other people have got past this level from looking at comments though.
Congrats on the top 10 in innovation; I really love this concept! The puzzles were challenging and I enjoyed having to strategize what denomination and size coins I will need to solve each puzzle. My biggest gripe is the stacking mechanic; a lot of times I know how to solve a puzzle but I'd keep falling due to the circular colliders, which would be frustrating. But overall I had a lot of fun, great work.
The puzzles were well made. Each time you have to rethink on how to approach the puzzle. I couldn't get past the level with the 40c gate with the tree coins. I guess you have to jump over the barrier using the coins, but I couldn't do it. You can also loose a coin if you fall of a platform, but this doesn't result in a restart when all coins are gone.
Hey! I played this game a few years back, and it popped into my head out of nowhere a few days ago. It was super innovative and it was a hell of a fun time. I hope y'all are still making games!!
